DUKE NIKLAUS TO BECOME CHIEF MINISTER Reverned Mother Erin MacGregor today named a cabinet to ensure the smooth running of Kaitaine. The head of the Bene Gesserit faith shall act as Head of State as described in the nations constitution, she shall now be supported in the management of the day to day running of the Theocracy by the 11 member cabinet. It comes as very little surprise that eight of the 11 are from the Four Holy Houses. The most significant position was Chief Minister, a position akin to many nations Prime Ministers. This role unsurprisingly went to Duke Niklaus Corrino, it is well known that the Corrino family enjoy high prestige among the Four Holy Houses and former Chapterhouse Claith Mother Hannah McKey described the family as most likely to produce the Kwizach Hadrach. The Duke has also worked as a kind of liason between the Bene Gesserit faithful and the government of Ui Cenneslaig. The other Corrino on the cabinet is
Pennelope Fava a 22 year old who it was confirmed is married to Nathanial Corrino. The Krimoen born but Cenneg high school educated sister in law of the Duke is a graduate of Music from a Vaguzian University and will become the Minister for Culture.
The Atreides representation on the cabinet comes in the form of husband and wife duo Yann and Sarah Bryant.
Sarah Bryant is the daughter of Duke Oswald Atreides and currently works as a secondary school Maths teacher. She is appointed as Minister for Education and has talked about establishing a Bene Gesserit Missionara University already. Her husband
Yann Bryant a successful banker has been appointed as Minister of Finance and has talked about establishing a kind of currency for the Theocracy. The pair are currently residing in Achkaerin and have now confirmed that they shall be taking up an office in the Cliath Chapterhouse in the coming days where the Reverned Mother intends to meet with her cabinet for the first time face to face.
The Harkonnen family are represented on the cabinet by brothers Bryce and Jonathon. 39 year old
Bryce Harkonnen will be serving as Minister of Justice. The Canatbrian based lawyer has specialised in business and copyright law since establishing his own business along with Simon Fremen, who also joins the cabinet. Bryce has already indicated that his biggest task shall be war crimes trials against the members of the KDF. His 26 year old brother
Jonathon Harkonnen will serve as Health Minister having spent the last five years working in sports rehabilitation in Cantabrian sports academies. Jonathon has indentified a need for better sanitation in Seitch as a key project in the coming years due to the cities growth in population.
The Atreides couple are not the only husband and wife team on the cabinet. The Fremen pairing of Simon Fremen and Krystina Garner have also been married for over 20 years.
Simon Fremen who is a business partner of the new Minister of Justice, Bryce Harkonnen, will serve as Home Secretary responsible for matters such as policing and immigration in the Theocracy. He has stated that his biggest task will be ensuring the smooth return home and granting of citizenship of the diaspora across the world. His wife
Krystina Garner will serve as Minister of Defence having served as the Commandant of Truthsayer Cadets for several years. Garner has indicated that a need to protect the nations airspace and EEZ are a must and will require some reforms to ensure they are compatible with the Truthsayers doctrine.
One of the first of three non-aligned Ministers is
Ruth Hipkiss who has previously worked with the Cenneg Space Programme. She will serve as Minister for Science and the former Missionara Protectiva scholar has some foreign diplomacy work under her belt having recently spoken in Tamora at their Synod. She is joined on the cabinet by relative unknowns in
Melissa Debdale as Foreign Secretary. The 40 year old, who is a Truthsayer graduate, has served in the Cenneg Diplomatic Service until revealing herself as a member of the Bene Gesserit faith two years ago. Since then she has worked as an adviser to Niklaus Corrino in his dealings with the Cenneg government. The last member of the cabinet is the Minister for the Environment,
Bethan Higgins, a researcher at the Harby Institute of Higher Education specialising in maritime protection. She was also involved in helping set up the project for the Great Alucard Garbage Patch clean up.
