Edict on Clean Energy Signed, Government in Motion

Finish Nuclear Power Plant in Chanal, due for Upgrades

The Revered Speaker today signed off on a clean energy initiative renewal proposed by the Grand Council, which boast a new budget for nuclear energy research and the construction of new nuclear power facilities built in coastal areas.

New and rich deposits of uranium were found 7 months ago in rural Hadwelka, one of the 8 lands of Ahkabnil, the government at the time promised the formation of a nuclear advisory board in the High Circle and has fufilled this promise with the Ahkabnilian Clean Energy act. “We will slowly be making a shift with mining companies to introduce a new energy market to supplement a dependence on petroleum.” RS Teudili Anan stated, during the issuing of the edict.

Wind and solar power are also be sought after by other Lands, and the High Circle has laid out a plan within the Clean Energy edict to invite foreign investors and experts to help establish nuclear, wind and solar power industries. The Ahkabnilian Power Company, known as ‘TOA’ will be a new public company opened by the government constituted into three sectors of energy control; wind, solar and nuclear. This energy initiative, as RS Anan states, is supposed to, “Subtract the direct energy dependence Ahkabnil maintains.”

The government will still maintain trade in petroleum and coal, as well as maintaining manufacturing and petroleum processing plants. (Ahkabnil doesn’t have either but can ship it and manufacture) The government so far as confirmed that uranium will be shipped overseas to be enriched for now until the proper facilities to do so are established, meanwhile production of solar panel parts is due with a new government subsidized factory.

Endangered Ahkabnilian Elephants Saved by National Wildlife Sanctuaries

Ahkabnil’s increasing urbanization in the past century has led to the extinction of hundreds of animal species, while pushing others toward dangerously low numbers. High Umam Hakwechi, when he assumed head of the Temple of 1974, launched wildlife initiatives while attempting to balance urban development. A few species have been brought back through reintroduction efforts and the High Umam has led a ‘natural beautification’ effort in cities, leading to thousands of trees, plants and flowers being planted  bolstered by accommodating infrastructure. While the population and pollution footprint of running cities is expected to decrease, there is still work to be done.

The Temple of Ohkantetl has decided to fund various wildlife organizations on the command that the nearly extinct Ahkabnilian elephant be preserved. As of 2016 their numbers dipped below 100 in the wild and native wildlife experts took peek interest in wanting to preserve them. The High Umam was seemingly convinced and the Temple in putting forth its utmost effort. High Umam Hakwechi spoke on the reservations, and elaborated further on his thoughts on growing environmental issues.

“We may have lost our way, our quywe has been defiled in political pursuit, which i do not blame this country for. Survival is key but part of that survival is respecting our ancestors, which we have not done. These majestic beast, such as the elephant, is Ohkantetl, and we must respect Ohkantetl, as this omnipresent force is all of us, including the beast you call an elephant, an intelligent animal which seeks a life of comfort like us. Spirits of the Gods demand such respect, as they are the land. When we defile our land, we defile our gods, and our history. We must balance our glory and prosperity with environmental awareness, with the advent of new technology allowing this, we can pursue a more just path.”
