His parents, Nobukatsu and Nagako, were then the Crown Prince and Princess of Fusan, while his paternal grandfather, Emperor Eikō, reigned as Emperor. Eijirō's childhood was reported to have been happy, and he enjoyed activities such as archery, riding, and learning the shamisen. He often played with the children of the then-Grand Chamberlain, Haruhiro Koizumi, and growing up, he was a fan of the Tenkyō Tigers, a baseball team based in Tenkyō. Later in life, he would claim that, as a child, his favorite player had been No.6, Satoru Katsura. In 2000, his parents took him to an air show in Awara, sparking in him a lifelong fascination with aircraft and aerospace engineering, which would ultimately lead him to first his bachelors in Aerospace Engineering, as well as leading to him becoming a pilot in the Imperial Fusanese Navy. He later said, quote, "I have had a keen fascination with flight since childhood. To fly is, in essence, to know freedom. Since I have led a life where I have few chances to go out freely, the dream of flight always appealed to me."

At the age of four, Eijirō was enrolled in the prestigious Gakushūin school system, where many of Fusan's elite families and narikin (nouveau riches) send their children. He would also spend several years outside of Fusan, studying abroad in Achkaerin studying for two years in Valtheim as a guest of the Emperor of Achkaerin from 2002 to 2003 and from 2008 to 2009. As part of his studies, this meant learning English, which he continued throughout his education for the day that he would eventually lead the Empire. As it happened, he had a knack for picking up languages, learning Lijiangian by the time he was eighteen, ostensibly to have a better understanding of many classics of that language. He would also become the first member of the Imperial family to learn Dalseomin, though this can be credited in part to his friendship with Dae Jae-Suk, the nephew of Prince Dae Sang-cheol, himself a distant cousin. On the 7th of June, 2001, with his grandfather's abdication and his father's enthronement as Emperor Antei, Eijirō became the new Crown Prince of Fusan.

In 2011, at the age of 18, Eijirō enrolled in the Imperial Navy Academy in Tenkyō, hoping to become a pilot and to study Aerospace Engineering. His enrollment was not without controversy, as his father had initially objected to it. Rumors abounded that if he went through with enrolling, he might be removed from the line of succession in favor of his younger brother. Of course, these were mere rumors, though his father did attempt to dissuade him from enrolling for fear that he might die, but he would ultimately acquiesce, and Eijirō began attending the academy that June.

In 2013, while he was studying at the academy, Eijirō met Mayumi Tachibana during a party held by her father, Viscount Eikichi Tachibana, in Hatsukaichi. It is said that the Prince was immediately captivated by her, and arranged for them to meet several times over the next few weeks. As a result, the two were pursued relentlessly by the press. The two would begin dating later that year, although owing to both time constraints and their differing paths going forwards, it wouldn't proceed further than that for a while. In 2014, he would graduate a year early from the academy and begin training as a pilot. At the same time, he would begin studying for his Political Science degree. In late 2014, after spending the better part of the year in the "RAG" (Replacement Air Group), Eijirō was assigned to his first squadron, VF-13, nicknamed "Raptors". VF-13 was, at the time of his arrival, in the process of transitioning from the older J-7s to the J-24 Tiger II, which Eijirō had been trained on. During his 36 months with the squadron, which lasted from the 19th of October, 2014 until the 21st of October, 2017, Eijirō would be promoted twice (thrice if counting that his second promotion was a "jump-step" promotion) and he would serve in the Second Kalasinese War.

In 2016, while serving with VF-13 off the IFN Jun'yō (CVN-39), Eijirō would be deployed to the Rokkenjiman Sea in order to safeguard against any spillover in fighting between the Nueva Ardians and Toshikawans. During this time, as a result of engagements with the Toshikawan Air Force, he would secure the country's second air-to-air kill of the 21st century, shooting down a Toshikawan Jīngguó fighter during what is now called the Lunel Bay Incident. During the Second Kalasinese War, he would down a further four aircraft, including two MiG-21s, an Su-27, and a MiG-29. This final air-to-air victory, occurring on the 23rd of July, 2017, would effectively make Eijirō Fusan's first flying ace of the 21st century, though not the first ace overall as a few RIOs had also earned kills alongside their pilots. As a result of this victory, Eijirō was formally given a battlefield promotion to the rank of Commander, skipping a rank due to the nature of his promotion. In the months following the war, he would be transferred to VF-101, where he would remain for the rest of his military career, eventually retiring in 2020 due to his father's death.

After the war, upon returning to Fusan, and even in spite of the disapproval of the Imperial Household Ministry (though ultimately with the assent of the Imperial House Council), Eijiro remained interested in Mayumi Tachibana. He proposed twice, before, on the 21st of July, 2018, the Imperial Palace announced their engagement. The two would marry on the 18th of March, 2019, although the initial ceremony was a matter of controversy among the more religious citizens, having forgone much of the ritual used within Teido weddings in favor of something more personal. This would ultimately result in them being forced to “remarry” in 2022 in order to appease the Teido faithful, but for all intents and purposes, that would just be a formality.

Following their honeymoon, the new couple would relocate to Eijiro’s new posting at Naval Air Station Kojo, on the southern coast of Tsukishima following the Hiryū’s transfer to its new homeport at Naval Base Taikyu. There, he would continue to command VF-101 for the foreseeable future. But on the morning of the 30th of April, 2020, his father, Emperor Antei, passed away, and he soon found himself and Mayumi whisked away from his posting and ultimately, away from his old world. While he was Emperor from the moment of the demise of the Emperor, he formally succeeded his father at 4:30 PM on the 1st of May, following a ceremony where he received the two of the sacred treasures as well as the formal seal of the state. The Banwa Era had begun, and he would be officially enthroned as Emperor of Fusan on the 6th of November.

Yet almost immediately, Fusan would be thrust into crisis, as political violence swept the nation as part of a plot by Sachio Heike, the President of the Privy Council, to take power for himself as de-facto regent of Fusan, ostensibly to “protect the Emperor” from those elements which sought to do the nation harm. Most notably, Prime Minister Eita Fukumoto was assassinated in December of 2020, while his successor, Daisuke Hayata, would likewise be killed in an attempt on Eijiro’s life in June. Meanwhile, on the 21st of April, 2022, he would, at the urging of Privy Council, participate in a Teido wedding with Mayumi so as to placate many across the nation. Shortly after, they would relocate to Tenkyo while the Imperial Palace underwent minor renovations, something which nearly played into Sachio Heike’s hands as it largely separated him from the elected government.  Despite his circumstances, he would move to ingratiate himself with the locals. He would spend much time enjoying the culture of the city, participating in numerous ceremonies and festivals, and even participating in the 2022 Jidai Matsuri parade. At some point in 2022, Mayumi would become pregnant with their children, and on the 6th of December, Crown Prince Tatsuhito and Princess Sayako were born. Shortly afterwards, in a move spearheaded by members of the Imperial Fusanese Armed Forces and the country's political establishment, Sachio Heike's de-facto regency was overthrown and the Eijirō and his family moved back to Shinkyō at the start of 2023.

Early 2023 brought Fusan into conflict with Rokkenjima over the Tokara islands. Though he made a televised broadcast announcing the declaration of war, Eijirō privately voiced his anger that the conflict had even occurred, feeling that his orders were disobeyed, though to what goal were uncertain. The investigation into his father's murder bore fruit that year, and it was uncovered that his younger brother, Prince Hidehiko, was allegedly involved in a conspiracy to overthrow him (although in secret, this was a ploy to expose the real perpetrators), with the war, though not his doing, providing an opportunity to strike. Thanks to the country's intelligence services, this phase of the Kokuryūkai's plan was foiled, and in time, a tense peace returned to the continent. Now, as the Banwa era proceeds, Eijirō looks to the future with a unique vision for the nation. He sees a country whose democracy has grown complacent and rocked by political violence, and wishes to reinvigorate it. For Fusan's history is adorned with tales of great Emperors, paragons of virtue who saved their nation from harm or brought it out of the darkness. Though he may not achieve the same level of enlightenment as his ancestors, he too holds a great love for his people. And unlike many of his ancestors, he will not rule on the behalf of his people, but rather, he will rule alongside them. Perhaps in time, the rising sun will once again shine brightly with the glory of a wonderful Fusan over a modern, peaceful East Ardia.

Her father was a prominent figure in Daitō's foreign service, and as a result, she would spend many years outside of Daitō as her father's job pulled her away at times from home. Between 1999 and 2003, she and her family would reside in Vanora while her father served as Ambassador to the country. They would later move briefly to the Allied States of Ardia in 2005, although this stay would only last a year before her father decided to retire, instead going into politics by joining the House of Peers, owing to his rank as a Viscount. For her part, Mayumi had hoped to follow in her father's footsteps, aiming to study International Relations to prepare herself for a future diplomatic posting. In 2013, she began attending Gakushūin University in Shinkyō.

During her time at Gakushūin, she would become acquainted with a great many members of Daitō's Kazoku and Shizoku classes, as many a prominent or wealthy family would send their children to study at what was, ultimately, one of the two most prestigious universities in the country. It was at this time that Mayumi would first meet Eijirō, then the Crown Prince and a mere Ensign, fresh from the Naval Academy at Enojima. They would become fast friends and eventually, more than that. For a time, Mayumi would work at the Daitojin Embassy in Valtheim, where she would fill the role of an Administrative Assistant from 2017 until 2019. In 2018, while she was back home visiting her family, she and Eijirō would become engaged, marrying in 2019, although their Teido wedding would be pushed back several times due to unforeseen events. As a result of this, she would not return to Achkaerin afterwards, settling into her new life as the Crown Princess of Daitō. She became Empress of Daitō in 2020, when her husband acceded to the throne, and the two would hold a Teido wedding service in 2022, finally completing their wedding in the eyes of the gods. Mayumi would give birth to twins, Tatsuhito and Sayako, in late 2022.

Born in the shadow of his elder brother, he was never expected to inherit the throne, something which allowed him to pursue a different path in life. Much as his uncle had taken up a career as an Architect, he would study history at Gakushūin University, finding joy in learning more about his beloved East Ardia. For a time, when his father had abdicated from the Celestial Throne, Hidehiko would serve as Crown Prince, surrendering that title in December of 2022 following the birth of his nephew. In the months that followed, as turmoil swept the nation, and with it being clear that a conspiracy had penetrated the upper echelons of the government, the once Crown Prince came to the conclusion that something had to be done. By leveraging his relationship with the recently-arrested Sachio Heike, he figured he might be able to expose those participants in the Privy Council for what they had done. The only issue being, however, that he needed a cover.

Thus, he would privately meet with investigators working on the case of the murdered Emperor-Emeritus, namely Jin Hiraishi, the head of the Tokubetsu Kōtō Keisatsu, in order to learn everything that he could about the case. It was a long shot, but if he knew enough, he could pose as a member, infiltrate the conspiracy, and gather enough evidence for prosecutors to push for a trial. Of course, it would mean he would need to be arrested too, but that was a price he was willing to pay for justice. Thus, in early January, he became one of the conspirators, albeit with the prior knowledge of his family and the Tokkō. For some time, he would meet with the others before, on the Fifth of May, during a routine meeting of the Privy Council, he would make his play. As a result of his actions, three high-ranking members of the council—all of whom were leaders in the conspiracy against his brother—were arrested, but so was he. Now, as his trial commences, and as the world dismisses him as a criminal, he waits for the verdict which will decide the fate of the Empire.

The youngest of three children, she began studying at Gakushūin primary school in April 2003, graduating from it in March of 2011. During her education, she would join her elder brother, Eijirō, during his second stay in Achkaerin from 2008 to 2009, although unlike her brother, she would not remain for the entire school year, instead studying from August until November. In April of 2009, having returned to Daitō, Satomi entered Gakushūin Girls' Senior High School in Shinkyo, graduating in 2015. In April 2015, Satomi attended the entrance ceremony of Gakushūin University's Shinkyo campus, beginning her life as an undergraduate student. As part of Gakushūin's study abroad program, Princess Satomi briefly studied at the Imperial University of Ashinxao in Rokkenjima in 2017, where she continued her studies in International Relations and literature, eventually graduating in 2019.

Growing up, Satomi took up fencing in primary school. In 2009, she represented the Keiō-jingu Gaien Fencing Club and joined a competition held by the Fusan Fencing Federation. During the competition, she came in third place, narrowly beating her opponents in the competition. She would continue to enjoy the sport through the remainder of her education, although she has since largely stopped practicing the sport. Satomi has, since 2020, been the honorary patron of the Fusan Fencing Federation as well as the Agricultural Society of Fusan. She undertook her first solo overseas visit in 2019, travelling to the Allied States of Ardia, where she met the country's Praetor, Julius Devaux. She later travelled to the 2021 Aperture World Fair in Revana.
