Atenism
Atenism is the state sponsored religion of Altromine.
It focuses on the Worship of Aten, a supreme god of the Sun, a combination of all the gods of the Kemeticism pantheon. He is represented as a sun disk, giving out rays of light.
Aten is thought to not reside in the body of a Pharaoh, unlike the Kemeticist faith, and is instead thought to place part of his soul inside of them. The Pharaoh's death is thought to be Aten gathering his soul back for rebirth, and the Pharaoh's soul going to the After Life, and creating a new figure. As such, the Pharaoh is thought to be the most important individual on Munuds, regardless of whether they follow Atenism or not.
Atenism is, all in all, remarkably similar to Kemeticism, however reverses Aten instead of a jumbled mass of a pantheon. It also places alot more power in the hands of the Pharaoh, and regards the Priesthood as only needed if the Pharaoh wills it.
Head of Faith: Akasha, Pharaoh (does likely not consent to this)

AfterlifeIt is believed that all conscious things have a soul, made of many parts. When a person died, their Ka (vital essence) would be weighed against the Arrow of Truth, an arrow perfectly balanced towards righteousness and necessity. If their Ka weighed more than the Arrow of Truth, it would be devoured (alongside the Akh (intellect) and Ba (personality)) by Ammit the demon. If the Ka was lighter, it would be merged with Aten's own Ka. Once the Ka was either devoured or merged, the person was properly dead.
Despite this, the Ba and Akh would be left to wonder the cosmos, and several things could happen. The Ba, without the Akh, would retain its personality, but would not retain its memories or who it really was. The Ba could leave the Akh behind and wander Mundus as a ghost. It could also be devoured along side the Akh as it left the body by the demon Agre, who would take the form of a giant badger. If Ammit was to devour them due to the Ka's weight, Agre would be fought off. Usually, however, the Akh would be captured by the baboon demon Amon, who would store it on a scroll, where its knowledge would be kept till the end time. The Ba would usually join the Fields, a part of existence separated from everything else, where it would wander for eternity, trying to remember who it was once.
It is believed that the Heart serves as a bridge between Mundus and Ammit. If the heart was destroyed before the Ka was weighed, the Ka would go unjudged, and would turn into a Rank (jackal demon) and would be cursed to hunt down Agre for eternity, a task that was impossible.
The Pharaohs and High-Priest had a very different after-life. Their Ka would be judged as usual, and if it passed, the Ba and Akh would travel together to the Fields, where they would find the paradise waiting for them. The Ka of the Pharaoh would become a star, with the Shut (shadow) of Aten joining the soul of the next Pharaoh. The High-Priest would have their Ka bonded as usual.
