Statement On IRN Kraken Incident

During the ongoing humanitarian and security operation in the Federal Republic of Centralia Rokkenjiman forces came under attack by the forces of the self-proclaimed "People's Democracy of Centralia". IRN Kraken, a Mizuchi-Class Destroyer, sustained damage from RPG fire from a warehouse located in Innsmouth, New Haven, resulting in twelve injuries and one fatality aboard the vessel. The Imperial Naval Intelligence Service intercepted communications which indicated that the risk of an attack had increased following the rotation of Rokkenjiman forces in the region, with chatter amongst both the LRA and PLA indicating an interest in both forces for a strike against Rokkenjiman personnel operating in Centralia. Kraken remains in the theatre and her commander has relayed to IHC that they will continue to remain in position "until we are relieved; we may be scarred, but that does not detract from our dedication to our mission."

In response to the attack a team of Imperial Marines conducted a raid of the warehouse from which the RPGs were fired, detaining four individuals and killing five others in the exchange of fire. A pair of RK-80Ns, operating from IRN Meishō, then conducted a precision airstrike upon the headquarters of the People's Liberation Army in Philipsburgh, Mazeltovia, in the south of the country, the aftermath of which we are still ascertaining. Let this be an example: if you strike at us, we will not hesitate to respond swiftly in kind.

Allow me to take this opportunity to make it perfectly clear to all actors in Centralia that Rokkenjima's presence is of a humanitarian nature; the medical facilities aboard Angel have provided life-saving and routine medical care to civilians impacted by the present state of unrest and will continue to do so. Attacks upon IRAF personnel will not be tolerated and will be responded to with great force and vengeance. Do not interfere in our operations, do not harm the civilians of Centralia, and do not harm the servicemembers of the Imperial Rokkenjiman Armed Forces. Imperial High Command will continue to review the situation and reserves the right to further actions if future attacks should be launched by any faction.

Imperial Rokkenjiman Navy Completes First At Sea Test Of Transferrable Reload At-sea Method

Sailors onboard IRN Pride of Lydcaer complete a demonstration of the Transferable Rearming Mechanism VLS Reloading At-Sea with IRN Exploit on October 16, 2024 in the Dauntel.

In what is a "game changing" development the Imperial Rokkenjiman Navy resupplied a warship's weapons at sea for the first time, furthering the capabilities of the Imperial Rokkenjiman Navy in ensuring the combat readiness of the surface fleet wherever it may be operating. The guided missile cruiser Pride of Lydcaer and its sailors employed the Transferable Rearming At-sea Method device, known as TRAM, to load the ships MK 41 VLS in the Southern Dauntel Sea. This prototype allows for waships to be reamred during the underway replenishment process when ships deliver food, fuel and other critical supplies. The ability to reload at sea, rather than at shore, saves time for combatant ships and keeps them in the fight instead of having to depart a theatre to return to port and reload.

For this demonstration Pride of Lydcaer was paried with the fast combat support ship Exploit to connect and transfer the missile canister to the cruiser. The team utilized the TRAM to transport the missile canister along rails connected to the cruiser's VLS modules to successfully place it into a VLS cell.

"Until today the potential to have such a transfer occur far from shore was not possible. What has been demonstrated today offers increased lethality to our war fighters," Grand Marshal Sophia Forrester said in remarks on today's tests. "We proved, here in the Dauntel, just how game-changhing TRAM truly can be, and what a powerful deterrent it represents to any would-be competitor," she continued. "We've marked a milestone on the road to perfecting this capacity and fielding it to increase the logistical capacity of the IRN, wherever we should choose to tread," she said, in reference to a flag flown by the aircraft carrier IRN Eiryū.

As progress continues in our utilization of TRAM by the Imperial Rokkenjiman Navy we expect wide-scale fielding of this capacity to be acheived over the course of the next two to three years.

Notice Of Impending Test

A Damocles missile test being conducted, April, 2023.

An operational test launch by the Imperial Strategic Strike Command of the Damocles ICBM has been scheduled between 11:45PM AST on November the fourth to 4:39 AM AST November the fifth from Naōnai Airbase in the Grand Duchy of Fukadomari.

The purpouse of this launch is to demonstrate the readiness of Imperial strategic forces and to provide confidence in the lethality and effectiveness of the First Empire's deterrent capacity according to Imperial doctrine.

This test is routine and was scheduled well in advance. Consistent with previous test launches this launch will validate and verify the effectiveness, readiness and accuracy of this weapon system.

In accordance with standard procedures the First Empire has transmitted a pre-launch notification and notified all necessary partners in advance of this launch. Our launch is not expected to bring any harm upon any nation, whether it be via debris or otherwise, and we appreciate the cooperation of our global partners throughout this process.

Acquisition Of ARN Funayūrei

ARN Funayūrei has beene delivered to the Imperial Rokkenjiman Navy for testing later this month.

The Imperial Rokkenjiman Navy has taken possession of the Autonomous Rokkenjiman Naval vessel Funayūrei to begin tests at sea later this month. The 240 metric ton lightship will proceed to undergo extensive in-water testing at both dockside and at sea. Construction of the prototype unmanned surface vessel was completed at Rosa Shipyards in January of this year.

She is scheduled to depart for a multi-month at-sea demonstration later this month as part of the Imperial Rokkenjiman Navy's Uncrewed Combatant Ship (UCS) program which aims to challenge the traditional naval architectural model by designing a sea frame with no provision, allowance or expectation for a manned crew to be aboard.

By removing the human element from all design considerations UCS aims to demonstrate a series of advantages, including at-sea reliability, greater efficiency, size, cost, survivability to adversary actions through stealth and tampering resistance as well as the potential to efficiently deliver a distributed uncrewed surface vehicle fleet.

Utilizing the IRN's experience with at-sea refueling operations the IRN has slated tests for at-sea refueling purpose-suited for the uncrewed Funayūrei. These tests will be conducted alongside her presently scheduled tests at sea.
