Earlier this week the first Seating of Barbara Anselm's Trial had begun, the Teenage is accused of assisting the Kidnappers of Orion the first, and Arthur Lindwurm. Leading Ultimately to the Death of the later. So far only the Accusation has spoken, with the defense speaking happening next week. Evidence against her include several Witnesses of her communicating with the former Trinity Order Members, as well as the Data recovered from the broken Drone she had smuggled into the summer camp.
The Military trial for the security officer failing his duty is still to be announced, as the investigations are still ongoing.

Following the kidnapping through rogue members, trying to enlarge their dwindling Membership ranks of the past decades, the Grand Master of the Trinity Order, Bishop Erik Schultz, has requested the Pope to Excommunicate the Members of his Order going so far as too Kidnap children, and that still are on the run. Yet he refused to take personal consequences, proclaiming that they did not act under his guidance, and that the Order would strive to reorganize, but not disband.

News from the Palace has reached us, that Emperor Orion will remain privately tutored to give him a chance to receive the needed rest after being kidnapped. Palace officials had mentioned that the year overall had weighted heavy on his young shoulders, with his Parents and siblings deaths and now the incident where one of his fellow students lost his life.
According to the Prince regent, the reason stems from an all different concern though:
"Almost everyone at his school has now realized their fellow Student Olaf was in fact Orion. I have discussed this earlier with him, and to prevent any incidents where his friends and classmates would be bothered by press and general attention after loosing a respected student, he decided to wait until after the Coronation to return to his classroom."
According to Elder Robert of Niameck, this leaked information might add them into a diplomatic pinch, and he issued a statement to the participants of the dinner back in July:
"We never intended to disrespect any Majesty participating, yet had to abide to our own laws. You did, in fact, meet our Emperor in person. We did not wish to deceit you, but respect our own laws and traditions. We deeply apologize should it have offended anyone."
Barbara Anselm sentenced

After a long hearing, the Judges have released the sentence of Barbara Anselm to the Public. She will remain as a convict Cadet in an undisclosed Boarding School. No further steps will be taken as the judges had declared that while she was Guilty of Assaulting her own Team members physically, and co-conspirating a Break-in of Military Restricted Area, there was no hard evidence she would have known the Rouge Members of the Trinity Order had planned to Kidnap participants she lured to them.
After the proclamation of sentence, Arthur Lindwurm's Father, in his role as the lawyer of the adjudication, had read the following statement:
"While we do miss our beloved son, we urge Barbara Anselm's Parents not to abandon their Daughter, but to stand by her side and help her pass in this time. Our own Son, now considered a hero by many, was a convict cadet. Still, he did not let that hold him down, and continued his acting and sharpened his skills to the end. And even though it was self proclaimed knights that killed him, according to the other three Hostages aside from the Emperor, Orion had granted him true Knighthood as last wish before he stayed behind to grant them a chance of escape."
The last proclamation had left some uproar in the audience, as it would make the now dead Lindwurm the first person to have been actually Knighted in the Empire since it's foundation, even more so, people have discussed the credibility as Orion is not yet coronated.
Erik Schultz resigns as Bishop, renounces Pope

After the surprising declaration from the Pope Peter II to disband the Trinity Order, the Grand Master and now former Bishop Erik Schultz has sent an Answer in Kind. Resigning as Bishop and declaring the remaining Members of the Trinity Order independent from the Catholic Church.
"We have a Centuries old Duty to Fulfill, and if an Ill guided Statesman from the other end of the World proclaims we no longer belong, then we will leave him behind, but not our duties."
How many people will follow this new direction is still unclear, yet the Police has stated that the remains of the Trinity order had given them their full cooperation to catch the rouge members, even more so after the pope had tried to disband the Group.
From a legal point of view it states to issue that the Trinity order was a Non Profit Organisation with Erik Schultz as their Representing Head, though this is debatable considering our laws are shaped to ignore outside influence.

First Christian Mess in City Temple since 180 Years

Erik Schultz, former Bishop and now Grand Master of the Trinity Order, has held the First Christian Mess in the City Temple since it had been handed over to the City almost 180 Years ago. The former Cathedral had not seen any Bishop setting foot in it, despite the offer, since they held the believe it had been desecrated by Rites from the various Cults.
In his Sermon, Schultz had pointed out to all Christians in Uburzis that Christmas, celebrated on the Same days as we hold the Festival of Love, stands for coming together, and the promise of Forgiveness. To him, it was time Christians finally took up the offer to use this holy Place together, and not claim it stained simply because someone else also sees it as a Sacred House.
It was also announced he had offered a former Monastery up to the Order of Mountjoy as the State Embassy, seeing as the Christian Nation and the Empire have shown mutual respect for each other in the Past Year, it was Time to take up official Diplomacy.
Orphans at the Palace for the Festival of Love

For the whole two days of the Festival, Emperor Orion has invited Orphans from all over the Empire to Join him at the Palace.
"I have lost my Parents as well this Year, yet while i still have Family that stands with me, these Children have no one left. I can not sit idle by and receive my Families Love, not sharing it with those being Pained by similar loss as me."
According to Palace Staff a lavish Feast had been prepared, while the Neu Uburzis Academies have added a present in form of a Stipend for each of the Orphans Invited:
"Our Students are a Family in their own right, persisting comradery and Kinship beyond Graduation. For this Festive Season we had decided to extend this to those in Need of a Place that can call home again."

Bene Gesserit recognized as Religion

After weeks of intense debate from the youth to elder senates, Speaker Robert of Niameck has today announced the Imperial Declaration of recognizing the Bene Gesserit as Religion:
"After careful examination, we found little to no reason to deny the Bene Gesserit the Status of Religion. The cultural Issues inside Kaitaine are of little concern for us, if at all we are concerned that being a member of a religion alone is reason for incarceration. For further clearance considering the Status of the Truthsayers, we will send a delegation to King Finley and his Advisor Niklaus Corrino, attempting to answer some of our Questions."
The Senates had further come to the conclusion, that with the given evidence "Truthsayer", according to Bene Gesserit scriptures avaiable on the Internet, is an educational Tree inside the Faith, rather than a single Organisation. Since without further Knowledge the Elder Senate sees itself unfit to make a final decision, the weight of Importance lies heavy on the upcoming meeting.

The newest part in the Cinema Adaption of the Popular Vagabonds SciFi Books has been Nominated at the Ostlake Film Awards, the first Film from Neu Uburzis to be ever Nominated internationally.
Eleven year old Martin Shirokumo, portraying the young Hitman Yukio for the film, has given us a short statement on his way to the Ceremony:
"Filming was already, exiting, but now it'S not this totally cool Fighter Yukio, but actually me who people are talking about. And we even get to see a new country now!"
While the Film is given little chances for success, due it's Uburzis specific Topic,the Studio considers the Nomination alone a victory.

Emperor Orion congratulating Moreland on Retrieval of Lunar Bots

In a public statement from the Imperial Palace, Emperor Orion had send his congratulations to East Moreland for the successful retrieval of the Lunar bot, quoting:
"I am very glad the Nations out there on Mundus do not forget that only advancing science brings us all forward, especially if we accomplish things thought Fantasy a hundred years ago. And a rescue Mission for Semi Autonomous research Bots on the Moon does sound more like a Film even to me than reality, but East Moreland made it one."

In a Heartbeat Wins Ozzie, Vagabonds 2 mixed results

In a success no one had expected, Uburzian Shortfilm "In a Heartbeat", about young boy and his feelings getting the better of him, takes home one of the Ozzies. While Vagabonds 2 narrowly missed the Ozzie for Film music to the Singing Empress, the Film itself was far from being even considered.
"We had a sup par CGI Technology available before our Nation opened the Boders, and to be honest it shows." The Director said after Gala, while the young Actor Martin Shirokumo had been seen hiding from Press and leaving the evening as soon as possible with a pretty sad expression.
"The first defeat is the Hardest. But it wasn't his fault." The director added while spotting him leaving: "We will make sure Vagabonds 3 will have all the up to date CGI technology needed to make it work. Also, excuse me, i have some Job offers to give." before we last saw him catching up with the People responsible for In a Heartbeat.

Young athlete rushed to Hospital, Mother arrested

When a fifteen year old girl banged at the door of the Hospital at Night, the Staff did not expect their nightly Visitor to be young Figure Skating hopeful Sieglinde Müller carrying her Twin brother Heinrich Müller in the Arms. The member of the National Biathlon Youth Squad was shivering uncontrollable, while his heartbeat was through the Roof according to official Press releases. Sieglinde Müller, herself part of the Uburzian Figure Skating Crew, said that she brought him over from their home only a couple of meters away. Her brother hadn't had a good nights sleep in days, and since his training results had been falling the last couple of weeks, had been pressured to work deep into the night.
The real shock came when police went to their home, to inform the Mother of her sons predicament. They found her spicing her sons drink with a doping substance called Modafinil, and while the Mother had refused any further statements, the Daughter had found clear words: "Father died from Substance abuse. I can't believe she did this to Heinz. She only recently had fired his trainer because she thought him too lax and too easygoing, but i never thought she would do that."
While her Brother stays at the Hospital for now, the Grandparents, themselves former Figure Skaters, have taken over custody of the two children for now. Sieglinde has already volunteered to have her own test results getting double checked, hoping her Mother didn't just ruin her Medal chances for the Winter Games, along with her Brothers Health and Future.

As the threat of a war grows stronger after the United Iwi attack on Seleucid Chemical Plants, and in Return the Royal Seleucids and several other Nations stationing of more Ships in the Area, the Elder Senate and Regent have issued a joined statement:

Admiral, seeing as Mother's Day was traditionally the day Young Daughters told their Parents they'd join the Mermaids, how are you looking forward to it?
Many Women now choose to tell their parents the will serve in the Military instead of Mothers day. All else? I will probably call my Daughters in Moreland, and talk to my Son. Finding out i already had a Grandson last year made me realize i ran out of time to reconnect with my children.
Was it hard for you to set them aside for your duty?
At the time? No. Now? Now i have to accept that my decision made me a stranger to my children. To regret that now would be crying over spilled milk, besides. I served my country well and made it, in my opinion, significantly stronger. Progress always comes at a cost.
Talking about progress, word is you have an issue with the Moreland group called sisterhood of Helus?
I think they are a disrespectful group of self loathing virgins in dire need of a boyfriend. A mother bears a sick child, and what do they do? Pull her through the mud. Is this an Interview about Mothers day or about them? For the Sake of answering, the man has a job, and is a hero for doing a good job, not for whom he has a child with. When we choose to make people paragons and adore them, then we always only see one part. Believing them to be flawless and Demigods is an error to start with. We are Humans, let Sam be one, too. Aside from that, as i said earlier, sometimes the job is more important than family.

If you want to have both family and serve the country, make sure to do it as the Mermaids used to. Have a Househusband. Plenty of Men around that would prefer to cook, bring the kids to school and keep the house than sitting behind a desk.

Imperial Youth Organisation announcing New Summer camp site

Following the announcement to allow a limited number of Foreign Children and Youths to attend the Traditional Summer camps, the Organisators have announced a new camp will be added this Year. Honoring the late Sir Lindwurm, the Camp will Mimik a Grand Tournament. Children with own horses or riding experience are said to have a likely chance to be assigned to the Tournament, yet additional melee battles, and other activities outside of riding where announced.
"We have also prepared invitations for International Guests, seeing as we lack experience in Sword Fighting or Horseback fighting."
An additional note was that the Trinity Order was in fact essential for the planning, allowing one of their former Monasteries and Castles to be used for the occasion. Grand Master Schulz stated: "We have to make up for lost Trust, and it is Time we stop trying to separate Christian Youth and Divine Faithfull apart. Emperor on his way to Ostlake Games

Yesterday Emperor Orion has been spotted leaving the Country via Airship, accompanied by his whole Dorm from the Neu Uburzis City Academy. The youngsters where all in full uniform, boarding the Vessel with Sea bags. The Academy and the Imperial Palace have both confirmed it's a school excursion to the Ostlake games in East Moreland, marking it the Emperors first visit to to the internationally important Country.
The Academy had also clarified that it won't be all a joy trip, as the Cadets including the Emperor are to act as part of the Ships crew during the flight, and getting School lessons: "While they will get time to enjoy and experience East Moreland, they all have their duties to uphold on the Ship. This is as much a cultural as a practical Excursion."
It is expected that the Cadets will cheer on the Participants from several branches of the Military participating.
New Biological Warfare Defense Center opened

Figure Skating Athlete Hospitalized after suicide attempt

Earlier today an inside source on the homecoming athletes team from the Wintergames has revealed that not only Sieglinde Müller was absent, but had to be rushed to a hospital as she had tried to hang herself in her cabin on the flight back home. While there is little to no confirmed information on the reasons yet, fellow Athletes had speculated that the pressure was just to high for the young athlete:
"She was just not herself anymore. Scoring far below the Medal Ranks, she kept talking about how worthless her life was, and that she had nothing left to live for. We thought we had talked he rout of that nonsense, after all she made it to the international stage at such young age, but it seems we didn't understand how deep these doubts did run."
Another athlete stated: "I am sure this is the pressure her mother had put on her finally snapping something. I mean that woman basically poisoned her own son for results, it#s not to far fetched she did psycho games with her daughter as well."

Every Year the Regions of Uburzis compete for best Meats from their prized cows. Massages, best fodder, gentle care. Each of these Animals lived in cow heaven before becoming the best organic Beef one can buy on all Mundus according to Beef Fanatics.

Emperor and Prince visit Convict Cadets

Today an unannounced Imperial visit was witnessed by the Reporters at the Sturmheim Imperial Academy. It was expected for Prince Kurt, the Regent's father and Uncle to Emperor Orion, to pick up Julian Wingert after graduating from the Academy.
Wingert is no one else but the then child that stole the Prince's car and caused the crash that crippled Kurt of Uburzis. While disowned by his own family after the incident, he has been seen together with the Prince as his aide during official travels, last year even took the Prince place in a ceremony during the unified Iwi's Matariki. We reported on that event.
Several younger Convict Cadets had been at the scene to say goodbye to their former comrade, all of them getting a personal short Smalltalk with the emperor. When asked by our Reporters the Emperor had this to say:
"I offered them a literal hand. Many of them see this already as the end of their social life for ever. But this isn't what the Convict cadets are made for. i wanted to make sure they really feel that we as society haven't written them off yet."
While due to the Schools intervention we were not allowed to interview the Convict Cadets, Prince Kurt rolled over to us for a short statement:
"I want to remind Parents and relatives that these boys and girls are still your flesh and blood. And while some surely deserve punishment, over the last five years i have experienced so many teenagers being disowned by the own family when all they had was a one year term, that i can only ask many of you out there to reconsider it. They can only become better citizens if you give them the chance to proof it."

After Rumors came up that Uburzis didn't participate in the Games due to our differences with the Leadership of Kaitane, the News Central stated the Reasons for not sending Participants:
"While the Note of working together and celebrating Sports is a worthy Ideal indeed, after several calculations during the Winter Games, we have decided that the Sportsfestival over all is not in Favor of our Ideals. The Amount of Destroyed Nature alone on the Winter Games was tremendous, not to mention the waste of Energy. We can not participate unless we ourselves have set an example.
We wish to Clarify again, that this had nothing to do with the empires stance towards the Theocracy or the Republic.
To make our Sportsmen able to Participate in future Games, we have started to work on Ecological viable Solution for the Games, and shall submit in the future once our Building Projects have succeeded."

While i would Prefer a Neutral court to take the case instead, i would never dare question a whole cultures sense of justice. In a sense, a state outlawing murder then killing themselves has to question itself why it should have the right while denying it to others.
But this is not us, and it it is not our call. I wish to learn one day how they argue to our point of view, maybe next year when the Tribes meet. Because i am intrigued by the possible answers."

Anesthetist commits Suicide after positive Hepatitis C Test

Yesterday a medical Professional was found dead by self strangulation inside Himmelstadt's Regionals Nurse office. The man was beloved by his Co Workers and Patients alike, and the Death not only shocked them, but send the Hospital in a frenzy.
Next to the man was a list with all Patients he had been working on over the last weeks, with all neatly ordered and declared. Pinned to that was a Blood Test the man had conducted in house, stating he had contracted Hepatitis C.
Since the man was a voluntary helper for Substance Abusers, it is suspected he contracted the sickness during his off work hours.
Investigations on possible contractions and the suicides circumstances are being invested by local police.

While the Nation is still in shock about the Arrest warrant for the former Wife of the now deceased crown Prince, early this morning another Message hit the Nation.
Wilhelmina of Uburzis, CEO of Wingert Building Corporation together with her Brother Heinrich Wingert, was found dead on route to a construction site she was committed to in Zimalia.
According to Zimalian sources, she was found partially dismembered and with several Gunshot wounds.
Next to her Corpse, a sign proclaiming her as: "Wilhemenia, Murderer of Children, Slave Trader. Scumbag. Justice is Done." was found, rising speculation that it might have been a revenge attack by local tribesmen. After a recent Statement from the Moreland Heretic Denman, long standing adversary Admiral Eidmeier has taken to the public as well.
In an Interview with the editorial staff, she stated that the unjustified attacks on the Princess of moreland on official Denman affiliated webistes should have had consequences, instead she supported them by deliberately letting them run amok with false or half true facts:

Interfaith Mass for Festival of Love and Christmas

Several High Priests, like Elder Saskia Hohenrod, and Grandmaster Erik Schultz have this year celebrated a Mass for the Festivities together. While the speech was rather toned down general, talking about the love of god, some members of the trinity church have speculated it is a sign that Schultz and his followers desire to be close with the rest of the empire while demonstratively making a point about denying outside influence. The results of a meeting between the Grand Master and the Pope earlier this year are still kept under wrap.
Outside the City Temple masses of people celebrated together, food and drink where shared in open invite Pot Luck, while the Christians usually found together in their small family gatherings.
Emperor hosting Orphans for second Time

Last year we saw the Emperor inviting a small number of Orphans to the Palace after he himself had just lost his Parents that year, this year he had invited a whooping number of Three hundred Orphans to a huge Festival of Love Sleepover. The boys and Girls where all rather surprised as they arrived, getting catered by servants and maidens as if they where royalty themselves. The surprise gift was overly well received.
We managed to get a few words with the Emperor:
Your Majesty, two of your nieces are still missing, has any progress been made?
"We made three arrests already, but Wilhelmina of Uburzis had a long planned plot in place to get her daughters out of the Palace. We are pursuing them with all we can mobilize."
The two Girls where involved in the incident with Rhiannon and another unnamed boy, any words on that from you?
"It wasn't a local boy, the media got that wrong. Well he was local, but he was another of my Nephews, namely Augustin, my Sister Persephone's first son. The Girls took away his younger brothers pet bunny and tried to feed it to the crocodiles, then provoked Princess Rhiannon by throwing mud at her. I myself was still at the Summer camp at the Time."

The Empire won't join the Treaty of Wellow

As the several Nations from the Shores of Alucard signed a treaty to fight Global Pollution, the Elder Senate has issued a Statment that the Empire will not sign the Paper. When ask by the Flight, Elder Robert of Niameck explained the reasoning:
"We do widely acknowledge the Steps taken by the treaty as achievement for most of Mundus to recognize the dire need to change the way we act, but we can not join the treaty for the wording itself.
To be precise, as we already are way beyond the international curve, several aspects won't be achievable for us. Reducing food waste for Example, will be impossible to reach as we are already as are far closer to zero than most nations. If you have to pay the real prize for food and the effect it has on the environment you usually do not squander it as much.
We will however honor other aspects, and will act as if we signed the treaty on most part. This means we still will fight the reduction of plastics in electronics. We might have a ban on most Plastic Packages, this does not mean we can't find ways to go further. Personally i do not believe a zero waste public transportation is entirely possible, but the prospect to work together will further development for all of us.

Intensive search warrants and Tips from Locals had resulted in the Arrest of Walter W. and his eleven Year old Son. They where both Charged with Poaching of endangered Species on at least Fifteen Accounts. In a private hearing Both where Sentenced to Harsh punishments, as the boy lacked any sense of remorse his sentenced ended higher than expected.
The father was sentenced to two Years in Prison, not only for Poaching but also for giving his Son life Ammunition and a Gun without Parental Supervision in a determined Facility. A third charge for firing without licence was settled as Walter W. did own a Proper Hunter's Licence.
The boy's sentence Includes fifty Strikes in a Public whipping, to be dispersed in groups of Tens over the Next Months. Part of the harsh sentence was the fact that the boy had an additional Charge of firing upon a Police officer when getting arrested. Additionally the boy will be enrolled into Neu Uburzis Military Academy until Age 18 starting next September. Youth Senates begin debate about Medical Databases

Following an Exchange of Bone Marrow Databanks with East Moreland, the Elder Senate has Ordered a Grand Debate, traditionally starting in the Youth Senates.
Topic of the Discussion was the need of Data Security, the Desire of International Organisation, and the Question of adjusting our laws to achieve the Goals. Ahead of the Discussion the Youth Senates had been given Informational Material about Leukemia and Marrow Donations, but also about the threat of leaked DNA information.
The Rush for the Limited Speaker slots has resulted in many Cities adding a second or even third discussion round out of regular Schedule. The Emperor himself has decided to add his Speech outside of the halls, opening up another Slot for the discussion to Youth Senators. We follow with some Quotes from the first round of Discussions:

With the recent Leak from the Hospital room of Moreland Princess Rhiannon, the Imperial Palace has Issued a Statement after it came to public knowledge one of the Imperial Princess had been mentioned.
"We are dismayed anyone would disturb the privacy of a child in such a horrifying way. Rhiannon is sick and in bed, faces fear and worries that scare us adults to the bone, yet one of the people who should protect her decided to profit from it. Additionally the Results of the Grand Debates first two rounds in the General Senates came in, resulting in one suggestion given majority, and getting forwarded to the Elder Senate:
- Each Nation Participating shall host their own citizens Data, and is responsible for the Security.
- The Empire of Neu Uburzis is willing to host the Central Hub for Gathering Patient Data, Distributing and Storing Results, forwarding requests for comparison with the National Donor Databanks.
- The Patient and Donor Data shall be anonym. Aside from the Hospital forwarding the Request, no one will know the actual Identity of the Patient.
- The Patient and Donor have to Match Medical Standards. A Medical Standard shall be decided by a group of Experts from several Nations.
- Misuse of Data shall be handled by National courts, depending on who was effected. If necessary through trials in each effected Nation separately.
Prince Regent announces plans for Meeting Mid Aranye Heads of State

In the middle of the Crisis, the Prince Regent has announced he is having Plans to meet several Heads of State in Mid Aranye. This includes the Heads of State for Tamora and Slava Lavosk, as well as the newly appointed King of Royal Seleucid.

Prince Regent starts Travel to Royal Seleucid

This morning the Alexandra 3 set off from the Neu Uburzis City Airfield, marking the beginning of the Prince Regent's Travel to Mid Aranya.
A Press Statement mentioned he was going to meet with the new King of Royal Seleucid, though he gave expectations an immediate dampening:

Elder Senate dropping Century old Law

After the East Moreland announcement of the Augustin Children's Cancer Trust the Senates had been awkwardly quiet the past days, same as the Palace. It has been a law ever since the Suicide of a child Empress that no young member of the Imperial family was allowed to assume public duties, and showcasing pictures of them was faced with prison.
The Law however has raised several issues since our emergence from isolation, namely the pretense of the Emperor not being the emperor at a state dinner, or having to ask journalists of a foreign nation not to take pictures and several more instances.
It has now been announced by the Speaker, that the law has been dropped, and all people imprisoned or reprimanded for breaking it have been pardoned along side.

Senate's reluctant to decide on Theocracy

After Months of back and forth debates, the Nations Senates are still split in half about the pending acceptance of the Theocracy of Kaitane as State. While some wish to recognize the Citizens Right to Self determination, and the Republics of Kaitanes utter disrespect of proper procedures in Trials, and Cultural genocide and Witch hunt going on for over a century, others wish to stay clear and strengthen the Bond between East Moreland rather than risk it over a fringe religious group.

Prince Augustin to Visit East Moreland during Summer Break

Tied to the young Prince working hard to use his Position for the betterment of Children with Cancer, including several TV adds, and voicing the Bunny "Schnuffelchen" in an upcoming Educational Cartoon about Health and Disease for Children Age Ten and younger, is said to Travel to East Moreland during his School Break in Summer. Official Press Office from the Palace released the following statement:
"We are currently planning an official Visit to the Future Site of the Augustin Cancer center, among other still debated activities. To clarify, Prince Augustin has insisted that should be going himself, and has not been pressured by us to do so. We also wish to announce that the Augustin Children's Cancer Trust created by King David of East Moreland will find itself with significant backing from the Imperial Family."

Summercamps Organisator would happily host more Lodjan Students
Following Queen Klara of Lodja's statement about the summer camps in Neu Uburzis, the Organisators have reached out to Lodjan schools:
"We are more than happy to help with a healthy upbringing of youth. Learning as to why fitness is important is best learned by getting pushed to your limits."
Additional the Military Academies have issued a joined statement: "We would be glad to work out an exchange Programm or stipends for lodjan students. We believe a young generation with our expertise and understanding would help to clean up the state of Lodja's aremd forces."

Fleet Sets Sail to East Moreland
With the Festival of Sail right around the corner, the Sturmheim School fleet of 18 Sail galleons have left the harbor on their journey along aranye coast and across the illumic. Unlike previous years the whole fleet is undertaking the voyage.
The Academies still await confirmation from the festival's staff to clarify the amount of ships that will participate in the parade, and how many have to stay offshore.
Additionally it has been revealed that the sg 17 and sg18, both Star ships over the past two years, have been sent to dry dock, and are replaced by the 19 and 20. With their respective crews asigned to the new ships:
"Both ships have taken most focus during the last battle, and need the Maintenance direly. They will return to service likely in two years."

Senates start review of MAEA
While several Big Players start signing the MAEA treaty meant to ensure the "Safe" use of Nuclear Power, the Senates have sat down to take a long look and debate if the Empire should join.
The first round of Speakers, while reluctant to join an International Organisation, have shown keen interest and Support for the MAEA.
"The Path is the Right one, and it is something we should not sit out."
While another Speaker had a clearer word for it:
"The world moved on and we didn't have any input, yet again. This is a Disgrace."
The Debate is Scheduled to end at the First of September, when a Decision should be made.
Summercamps trying to host on a Tropical island
With 2019's Summercamps just underway, (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=1494.0) the committee has announced plans to work with the Iwi for a special Summercamp in the Future.
The promoted plans are set to rent out a small Island in the Commonwealth, and use it for a "stranded on a Tropical island" Scenario. The exact Plans on how the Camp will work is still in work, especially as the Committee admitted they are unsure if the Iwi can even consider such a venture.
"They have a recent history of war, and in the Minds of some, we basically have our Children play Wargames in a very serious Manner during the Camps. We have to ensure first that the local Iwi and the Commonwealth would agree with our idea. Which is why we open up about our Plans ahead of time, and are walking into the Negotiations with Open Cards. The first hurdle would be to find a fitting island, that allows us to Monitor the Campers, which at best would be a handful, and then find a way to Preserve the Eco System from a Bunch of very Hungry Teens."

During their Membership Congress, the Board of the HoHaZu[1] has surprised it's Members with revealing they took King Heydar of Royal Seleucid up on his offer to be International Observers.
After some, according to the written Protocol, shouting by the Members, the Board began their Report with stating the exiting potential of Costumers. Stating that while the Seleucid are valuing Craftsmanship and intricate designs, they also Value sturdiness instead of Plastic throwaway, and struggling with supplying themselves with true high value Furniture and Woodwork, citing the Report:
"They use wood a lot, but the Desert shape of the Land has left their Woodworkers to mostly produce functionality, lacking the aesthetics their Jewelers and Masons provide. We think there is a market of high value, Ecological yet still Luxurious items that we could provide."
The report continued with slide shows about living conditions, hospitality, and other details that one of the disgruntled members called 'Guided Tourist Vacation Photos'
To this point, while controversial, the Report mostly painted a positive Picture of the Progression. The real outcry came when the Report finished with the following Sentiment:
"After observing the People living in the Protectorate, the Real Problem we see is something the King won't be able to Solve. His Father and Brother have left him an issue that he will unwillingly pass down to his own Son, and maybe even to his future Grandchildren. The Cultists in the Protectorate aren't Morelanders. But, and this is a big but, King Heydar is the only one, or rather him as a Symbol of his Nation, that can heal this Wound on the Long run. These People all are Seleucid, they want to trust again, but just can't. And only a unified Seleucid can mend the Rift for the Generation to be Born if they Work, and can work, together."
At that point, the Report was cut short by Several Members of the HoHaZu shouting at each other, forcing the rest of the Report to be published online.
The Palace and the Senate have both issued a short Statement, stating that the HoHaZu are entitled to their Opinion, and while they don't share the sentiment, they urge the Senators and Speakers to actually read the Report and not act on hearsay in the upcoming weeks of regular Debates.
Prince Augustin rushed to Hospital

The Prince has been rushed into Hospital with Sirens in the Evening after, according to Palace staff, he felt suddenly unwell. Details have not been given yet on the details, just that he isn't in immediate Danger at this point of Time, but that he will most likely spent the Festival of Love at the Hospital due to needing constant observation.
The Emperor, visibly shaken, has made a statement from the Palace after visiting the Hospital:
"Augustin will need rest and treatment. I hope you can understand we won't disclose the Nature of his Condition right now for Privacy and other Reasons. He will not be alone during the Festival, and i will Visit him. I will ask any Reporters to make Appointments with the Palace about him and not try and sweet talk the Hospital staff. If anyone does, i can assure you, you'd prefer to Deal with Malcom Tucker, instead of me."
This seems to be a reference to Morelands's Palace Press Staff, infamous for his colorful Language when dealing with Reporters.

After Prince Augustin has been rushed to the Hospital yesterday, disturbing News have reached us from the Palace Press Office. The sudden Sickness is in fact, no sickness at all. From what the Palace has disclosed, Augustin fell Victim to an attack that was most likely aimed at his Bunny, the Mascot of a Children's TV show and Mascot of the Cancer Trust fund founded after the young Prince's decision to do his best to Help his Friend Princess Rhiannon of East Moreland last Year.
While no Details have been given, Augustin will have to stay at the Hospital for an undisclosed amount of Time.
Meanwhile after the Palace, Police Headquarters have made a statement that they are investigating several Individuals that might have had the Chance to commit the Act, while one of the Palace's Garbagemen claimed to have noted a high amount of Vegetable Items and Pet Feed to be thrown away and specifically ordered to Incineration.

Festival of Love underway

While Parts of the Empire Celebrate these Holidays as Christmas, most of us celebrate it as Festival of Love, with giving gifts to those closest to us, and traditionally going to large public gatherings on the last of the three celebration days.
The Religious Heads of Several Cults, some Christian Denominations and other smaller representations, have started their Celebrations together in the City Temple, with most of the Imperial Family attending.
Aside the usually well wishes, Grandmaster Schulz holding a ceremony about the Nativity, the High Priestess of Death traditional absence from the Festival, we had one surprising guest, with a recently converted Woman speaking for the Bene Gesserit faith. There was no Mention of the conflicts, nor Political statements, and she stuck to theology. It still took us by surprise, and having a quick word with her, the Woman, we think it might be a Missionata, explained that she was on a self imposed travel ban:
"I do not wish to bring harm to my Country, only because they allow me to choose which faith to follow freely." before she quickly hurried of to meet with her family.

As is Tradition since Orion the First took the Throne, a Large group of Orphans will share the First Day on the Festival of Love with the Imperial Family. A lottery system has determined who gains the Honor, and the Group had arrived in the Morning to get properly dressed up for the occasion, as the Emperor had stated:
"We invited them to experience our Lives for this day, and be Part of it. Admittedly some of the Clothes are Second hand from my Nieces and Nephews, and trust me, with Eleven of them, there are more than enough to go around in the royal Wardrobes."
When asked about Prince Augustin, who recently had been hospitalized, the Emperor answered:
"He will have to stay at the Hospital, as much as it pains us, he still needs to stay on surveillance, and bringing the equipment up to the palace would be more hassle and needles cost. We did all visit him in small batches, can't fit the whole family in at once. He also insisted while he is unable talk right now, that some of the other young Patients in the Hospital can visit him if they want to, which is a great gift to some of them who now get to meet the voice of their favorite cartoon, even if he can't speak right now. I am also giving out a big thank you from him to East Moreland. He was very, very moved by all the well wishes and bunny Pins we showed him on social Media and the Internet. While he doesn't have an account himself, as with all Royal Children before going to an Academy, We do have a shared account for my Nieces and Nephews that we show them after making sure some things get filtered out. Please understand we won't post Pictures of him on Sickbed though."
Nya Aland Embassy gives show of Culture of their own

The Embassy of Neu Uburzis in Nya Aland has gone to drastic measures. After the visiting Youths of Embassy staff had thought of a great 'Prank' over Night, the Embassy was lit up with dozens of Heart Shaped Neon signs, making the Embassy look like a cheap Brothel instead of a Festival of Love sign.
The Ambassador had a quick remedy, stating that: "If it's our culture our boys want to share, that's what we'll do."
The result was the Embassy stuff taking down the lights quickly, before the participant Teenage Boys got lined up on a Balcony, reading a public apology over a Megaphone to the Alanders, and then receiving all several Strikes on their rear ends from their Homeschool Teacher right in view of everyone Passing.
The Ambassador, his own Son among the Delinquents, stated that they decided against doing the punishment in traditional Bare manner:
"We wish to remedy a potential Incident before it get out of hand, not cause one. There is tradition, and there is respecting the wishes of the Host Nation."

Prince Augustin released from Hospital

Following several days of Stay in the Hospital after suffering from an undisclosed attack, Prince Augustin was seen leaving the Hospital, making his way back to the Palace earlier in the Morning.
According to Hospital staff the young Prince insisted on giving a visit to some other Patients that didn't get a chance to meet him the Previous days, as he has become a little celebrity for many children.
Prince Wife Siegrun was picking the Prince up, offering the Journalist a glance of the Tearful reunion between the young Imperial and his Pet Bunny, out of respect, we will not show pictures of that.
According to Police, the current investigations into who conducted the attack have run into a wall, as the Providers of Pet Food to the Palace have come up Clean, leaving only Pet Food that has been part of Larger Donations as source.
"We aren't even sure it was a deliberate attack on the Imperial Pet, or a very cruel and twisted Person sending out a Trap for just whomever."
Niameck Fashion Week to replace Fashion Show after Convention Center burned down

As the Niameck Fashion show had been cancelled earlier this year due to a Fire destroying the Exhibition Halls in Niameck down to the Base walls, the City has devised a Plan to have a Fashion event non the Less together with Princess Adelheid and her Clothing Brand "Adel verpflichtet."
"The Fashion Week will be hosted by several Smaller, yet as we believe, more Artistic Venues all over the City. Additionally we have invited the Nyx Ballet to be in the City during the same Time, and will have an Open Stage and events on one of the Cities Main Squares."
When asked about the Potential of Duchess Stasya visiting this year, the City council answered:
"While we would be glad to Host a Fashion Icon like her again, we very much Doubt she will take up the offer so close to her Wedding."

Elder Senate Changing Succession Order Temporarily[1]

After a heated Debate in the Elder Senate, they announced that due to the still missing Twins Daughters of Wilhelmina and Thesseus von Uburzis, the current Successor to the Imperial Throne, should Orion die without children, will be Prince Augustin as new Crown Prince, followed by his two Brothers. The Sons of Persephone von Uburzis stood on rank three to five up to this change.
The Senate explained his decision, which has been felled without attendance of either the Emperor nor the Prince Regent, with the necessity of clarity for the near future:
"The Emperor has our full faith in fulfilling his Duties, but the Divine might have other Plans. We need to have someone able to take the Throne should something happen to the Emperor, and not pray that somewhere some when the Twins Sisters Romula and Rema resurface. Even then it is unclear if they will be fit to Rule after prolonged time with their Captors, or their Mothers underlings, wherever they are. Should they be recovered Safe and Mentally healthy, we will reverse this decicion. But in the End, we had to make a call, and after recent attacks on the Imperial family, it had to be now."
Over a year has passed since the twins have left the Palace with help from former employees of their Deceased Mother. But the Trail went cold when the Twins must have left the Nation via Boat. Police and KND are still pouring resources into finding them yet:

Military to enter Negotiations with Smart War

After a long debate about how to bring the Armed forces up to Current standards, considering many parts have become aged or dated, or flat out obsolete in the current Theaters of war, the General Staff and the Admiralty have announced to enter first Level negotiations with Smart War, the Morelandish Arms Manufacturer responsible for, among others, the Swarm Robots that the Borland Terrorists used to murder civilians across the whole globe:
"If we want to get back on Top, we need to admit that Smart War is one of the Best options. Not the only one, but our First choice." Admiral Eidmeier stated at the Press conference.

It has been a surprisingly eventful evening at the Capital's Main Youth Senate. What was supposed to be the last Speaker of the evening, accumulated Three strikes right away. Quintus F. , second Son of a HoHaZu Board member, held his first Speech, and called the Elder Senate out for making the Empire a silent observer on the World Stage, instead of an active actor.
So far, not necessarily an uncommon occurrence. What changed the Situation was the Emperor taking Stage directly after him. Starting off his speech, we saw Orion praise our system, but pointing out the Same issue the last speaker had with the current situation.
Yet, the young Emperor went further, while masked under generalization about Democracy as a whole, the well informed reader would recognize the events he spoke off as the current conflict between Nueva Ardia, Rokkenjima and other Actors on Ardia. Calling out President Melos for walking over parts of his own citizens, as much as Empress Beatrice for trying to put a boot to another country to project her might. We printed the whole Speech onto page two (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=1234.msg15366;topicseen#msg15366).
The Emperor though, did throw shade at the elder senate as well. In what can only be described as threatening them, he told them bold and clear to start working faster on reacting to pressuring issues, or he will make use of his powers regularly in the future.
While the Senators have reacted in different ways, some claiming that 'The boy is still too young to understand' - Henriette Herrlich, has made it clear she sides with the Emperor:
"We have been silent for some of my colleagues have taken this regency up as a prolonged vacation. We need to get to work harder on resolving issues. The Emperors role is to take over when we are unable to find conses. It is not his role to do that every time just because we got lazy."
While the young Emperor has given the Elder Senate a Verbal slap, he himself didn't come out harm free either. His regent, apparently unaware of the Speech, has handed him a very public and audible statement to the face.
We had caught him for a short statement: "While i am Proud that Orion takes initiative, he needs to understand while i am his regent he should consult with me. His speech was good for a fifteen year old, but rules are rules. Breaking them has consequences and just as Much as young Quintus took his with pride, Emperor Orion knew what was coming and accepted it."
Further sources claim that Quintus F. will enroll into a military academy following the next weeks, though its unsure if his parents told him to or if it was his own decision.

The second Time Niameck hosts a large International fashion event, it goes from a Day to a whole Week.
Making due with the burned down Venue of 2018's Fashion show, this Time Princess Adelheid hit the Park with a whole Week of Celebrating Clothing, and has even managed to throw restrictions of showed clothing out played on the last event:
"Fashion will be what fashion is. If the represented gowns do not work for our sense, then the Designers will have to Adapt. This is about showing what you are capable of, not sales for the mass market." The Princess said.
It remains to be seen how successful the event will be.
Nyx Ballet Arrives in Niameck

Robert von Niameck has passed away
The Empire is in mourning after the passing of the former longest lasting Senatorial Elder, Robert von Niameck.
After having retired from his position in late 2020 due to decaying health, von Niameck has seen his last Years surrounded by Close Friends and Family. The Press release from his Family states he died peacefully in his sleep.
According to his wishes he will not be interred with previous Senatorial Elders, but in his Family Mausoleum in Niameck. A televised Mass will be held next Sunday, while the Family has asked to allow them to bury him in peace. The Palace has already issued a statement that they will honor von Niameck's wishes and not attend either, instead they will attend the public mass.
Legislature passed on AI, as fifth Senatorial Elder in three Years has been elected.
Coinciding with von Niameck'S Death, the Elder Senate has elected it's fifth Leader in just three Years together with new Legislature.
Assuming her new Role, former Admiral Matilda Eidmeier has read the conclusions of a lengthy debate:
"As Speaker for the Elder Senate, we announce the following will be enacted into law:
The so called artificial intelligence does not create copyright material. Nor will products be recognized as holding such in the Empire.
All so called AI Models will have to either make their training data public, or be blocked in our countries.
All so called AI Models will have to provide proof of active agreement to their training Data being used by the original Copyright holder. Open Source Licences are not viable due to them having been written in a Time where such technology was not yet available. Only if they have been published under recent licences or the Author has given permission are they allowed to operate or sell their product in Niameck."
A statement from the Palace sees the Emperor congratulating Senator Eidmeier, as well as hoping the new Laws will bring human artists the security for their works they have been hoping for.

New Elder calls for a General Vote

Just her second day in the leading Role, and former Admiral Eidemeier, nicknamed the Mermaid, has shown why she has been considered a controversial choice. Without delay she has pushed the call for a General Election over the still ongoing debate on the Mundus Convention of Universal Rights, Here an excerpt from her speaking to the Plenum:
"We have waited for over four bloody Years to make a decision now. The boy (Editorial Note: Emperor Orion) has been pushing us to come to a conclusion and my predecessors delayed, delayed, delayed. If we can't make a decicion, let all of us make one. Those in Favor of calling a general Election on if we want to not only sign, but change our Nation to be in compliance with the Universal rights, cast their vote now."
Admiral Eidmeier has received a strong support on her call for 65 % of the Elder Senate, making the Issue now a National Vote through all Senates, Youth Senates included. It is expected that within the next two weeks we will see hefty discussions and loads of fines for various speakers. The Emperor has urged the Youth Senates not to overdo it, stating:
"For the sake of your own Seats, please follow the rules of your houses. We do not need a scandal of mass punishment over this issue especially."

Seven Members of Elder Senate retiring in Protest to the Election of Eidmeier

While the discussion over how the Empire could get itself in accordance with the MCUR are debated heavily, another small political Earthquake shook the Elder Senate. Seven of it's long serving Members have together announced their retirement in Protest of former Admiral Eidmeier now leading the highest Council in the Empire. An excerpt from their Statement reads:
"Military Members aren't to sit in the Senate. No buts not ifs. The technicality of Matilda Eidmeier never having sworn the Oath to serve only the Emperor means nothing in the face of facts. We understand we are a minority Voice here, and so our only path of Protest is to leave behind our positions in the Elder Senate."
The aforementioned Speaker of the Elder Senate, has given a short statement:
"It is never a good day to see someone Leave a council because they feel unheard. I understand their concerns, yet i have been asked, no tasked, by the Emperor himself to this new Role leading the Senate out of the shambles it has been in the last four years. If i had it my way, this wouldn't be necessary and i'd still advise Orion directly. But he saw me needed here, and the overwhelming majority of Voters in the Elder Senate have agreed with him. We have been unable to do our work, and it is time we take back the reigns and make the legislation necessary to run the Country. Or in other words. Let's go back to doing our damn job."

Senate hearings over MCUR heating up

It had been loud in almost every Senate across the Empire these past two Sundays, and it took us some extra days to work through a good part of the Debates and Speeches held on the Topic of the MCUR we expect to go to Vote in October.
Just as a Quick reminder, the new Speaker of the Elder Senate had called for a general Vote if the Empire should strive to make it's Legislature MCUR conforming, with the Goal of signing it at the end of the process, or if we should remain non signatory. We present to you a couple of the most hotly discussed arguments on the matter:
- Signing the Abrahamic Declatarion instead: While heavily discussed in the southern Christian-leaning Senates, it has been rather clear the overwhelming majority of the Empires Senates strongly reject the Idea. from most Arguments we have seen, it is considered to simply a doctrine of a Faith that has fallen out of favor here, and shall not return. The trinity Order, suprisingly, has agreed with the Majority. Grand Master Schultz being quoted with saying that "Faith should not be weaponized to hurt those not believing in it. Our Order has just too recently been reminded how wrong Zealotry really is. the Abrahamic Declaration is but a shameful writ of Bigotry."
- The Prison Island and Articles 2, 4 and 6: One of the larger discussions was that to many in higher Senates it seems evident that our Prison and Punishment System and the MCUR seem to be at odds in several places. Espeacilly sending criminals to a prison island and only providing limited resources as punishment has come to be seen as in odds with 3 Articles in Total. The Consensus so far seems to indicate most Senates are willing to rectify this, claiming the Prison Island to be a relic of the Past to start with, and in dire need of change.
- Same Sex Marriage & the Emperor: It seems there is a large majority in Favor of changing the Laws to allow same Sex Marriage, stating that the Taxation benefits come into effect only if a couple has children already. The Sentiment seems to lie with it simply being unnecessary to police something that belongs in the realms of faith, not Government. The only Issue arises from the Emperors Duty conflicting here, the Senates choosing their Groom or Bride being the Price for the Power they gain.
- Article 13: This seems to be the largest issue. The Senates seem to whole heartedly reject the Idea of Gender Change being possible. Saying that the current half measure modern medicine is capable of is just a Faksimile and not enough to name it Gender Change. Not to mention that the whole article seems to go by the Assumption that Gender Identity and Biological Sex being different, while most Senates claim it is an English centric view and issue, born from a language that makes an unnecessary distinction. Which leads to the next issue most Senates seem to have a lot of heated arguments about, the legislature without gender. Most speakers seem to agree that whoever wrote the MCUR seems to desire to impose themselves over grown languages, imploring such efforts to have always failed.
- Right to Education:While most are in agreement with the sentiment the article tries to make, the senates implore that parents would be able to claim the right to home school from the MCUR in accordance with sub article 15.3 , which is currently not allowed in the Empire.

Elder Senate intends to invite foreign Experts Group to find a way to amend MCUR Issues, should the Vote pass

With the general Vote on whether or not the Empire should try and become MCUR conforming looming on the horizon, the Elder Senate has passed a Motion to invite an Expert Group from several Signatory Countries should the Vote go ahead. It stands to reason that there might be more issues or smaller changes necessary the Senates currently haven't recognized or not seen.
"We wish to ensure that should the vote be a Yes, we are ready to take actions and not sit idle again. I can see the whole Vote still failing though. There's some issues that are a hard pill to swallow for the Uburzians, and our Prison system si the least controversial Topic." - has been said by one of the elder Senators after a lengthy session.

Niameck withdraws the application to host Empress Tourney

The City of Niameck has announced it will withdraw from the Race for Host Venue of the Empress Tourney. Stating that the city will not be able to adequately host two large scale Events at the same time safely.
"While we would have loved to see the Fight over the Emperors and the Nations heart in our City, the Fashion week would have clashed with the Security necessities. Though we strongly believe the Fashion week might still be part of the Schedule, seeing how important in the international Diplomacy the right choice of clothing has become."
The Empress tourney is expected to be officially announced on Emperor Orion's Nineteenth Birthday, though many Rumors about changed rules since the last one held for his Siblings are expected. Especially the Fact the Emperor has been quite open about his homosexuality in the past years, it stands to reason every woman to bear his children would have a hard time winning his heart.
Nonetheless our young Emperor had in the past stated several times, that he will fulfill his duty and obligation to the Nation and let them make this choice for him.

Women's Cyclist Astrid Bergstrom takes surprise Stage Victory

In a surprising and hard fought battle, the Neu Uburzian Cyclist Astrid Bergstrom has won the First Stage on the Tour of Khelvakheli. Miss Bergstrom and her Team, the Gamsbärte 1890 e.V., where not expected to win anything so soon. With this being only their second ever international Competition, the national interest suddenly lies on a young team from a traditional cyclists club.
Neu Uburzis Zoo gains new Animal for Honey Badger day

The City Zoo has revealed that in one of it's former reptile houses a Honeybadger named Boor has moved in. According to the Zoo officials, the Animal has been found during a raid on an illegal animal trading ring. It is currently unclear where the animal has originated from, and genetic testing is under way to clarify where the Animal, if at all, could be returned to. The Zookeepers however have given raise to the probability that Boor might stay, as the animal seems to be too used to humans to allow attempts at returning it to the wild in its current condition.
It was also made clear the former reptile house has been picked for it's sturdy building style and strong walls, as Honey badgers are known to be quite the escape artists.

While the newcomer Team to the international Stage from Neu Uburzis had managed to score an early Stage victory, so far further success has not been achieved. Worse even, they lost who had been considered their strongest rider so far, Elsa Schwarzbach, when she couldn't finish the Race at Stage 2 already.
According to the Teams trainer, it was a simple case of mismanaging resources when you try to push yourself farther than you can, being quoted with:
"Elsa didn't want to disappoint everyone back at home, and at the first half of the race, gave her all. Unfortunately she pushed herself way to far, exhaustion catching her a little of guard. It might seem like a beginners mistake to those from the outside, but remember, we are exactly beginners on the international stage. None of us had participated in an event as large as these. Lessons will have to be learned, and expectations adapted. I just ask to not hound Elsa, she's miserable enough right now. The Team hopes for the best when the later stages are where Astrid should really be able to shine, as we get into the hard mountains at the end. Those are jsut her thing, much like the mountains back home."

The emotional Roller coaster that was the Tour of Khelvakheli has just ended for the Cycling Team from Nordberg, but preparations for the future are already under way. The Team trainer has given out a statement, saying that not only are they ready for the last race of the season, they are also ready for the comming year.

Motion to undertake changes to the Empire underway, General Vote passed with 72% approval rating

It has taken almost the whole Week to gather and double check all the results from the General Vote, but the Results are Loud and clear. with an Approval rating of 72% the Empire has decided to go forth and start making changes to adapt ourselves to the MCUR.
A statement from Speaker Eidmeier reads:
"It will be a rocky road, and it won't go fast. But it is the right decision. This is of course, not us signing the MCUR yet. We are nowhere near ready to do so. The real work has just begun."
While polls showed that the grievances some have against the MCUR and several passages are still there, most have accepted that the intend of the Document is more than reasonable.
A Senator from Sturmheim gave us the following statement:
"It's not perfect, but it's the best option we have. Most of the MCUR aligns with our culture, not striving to better ourselves at this point is just petty rambling."

Elder Senate and Regent adress the Situation in Mktvartvelo

The Elder Senate and the Regent have released an official Statement about the Situation in Mktvartvelo, regarding their Religious reforms and international Reactions to them.
They both have made it very clear, that they simply already have no official relationship with the country, and depending on how the situation will develop, it will remain that way. Stating that the main reason for this decision, is less the reform itself, but the way their legislative Body attempts to shift blame and deny responsibility for any of their actions. We'll quote the Prince regent here:
"...but if you make a law, review it, sign it, then you are responsible for the consequences it brings. Claiming that it is now in the Judicative's hands on their end is what really gives the situation a bad taste. You can't just order someone arrested by changing the letter of the law, and then blame the police for doing their job. That is on you. As much as we understand the desire to protect your populace from religious extremism, it feels more like a cheap excuse in this case. Especially after the current development we'll have to wait to and see if their intentions hold true, or if they are the duplicit Crooks they appear to be."

"We had all to recently our own issues with religion crossing a line, and I thank the Divine for what is now the Trinity church to weather the Storm of extremism and foreign meddling to become what they are now. Invitations for the MCUR Experts expected to drop after the Emperor's Birthday festivities

Several Members of Palace Staff and some Members of the Elder Senate have stated that it is expected that Invitations for Experts on the MCUR and international Law will be handed out shortly after the Emperors Birthday, assuming the Festivities to take Priority for now. The northern Uburzian Airship Company "Himmelsee Werke" has revealed their newest Prototype, called "Pfadfinder '23" - an Airship fully driven by an electric Engine. The company has stated the desire to diversify their Products was part of the decision to divert some efforts to electric engines:
"In a World where it becomes clearer with every passing day that relying on a single technology or solution is a Pipe-dream destined to fizzle out we took precautions to keep the Uburzian Airship viable when eventually jet engines fueled by E-Kerosene will even become the norm in the Empire."
When asked to clarify that statement, the Himmelsee Werke have announced they are preparing Testflights with fully CO2 Neutral manufactured E-Kerosene in December, targeting to cross the Illumic and land in East Moreland:

Elder Senates drop a huge Bombshell during the Emperor's Birthday Celebrations

The Nation has witnessed huge changes coming to the Empire in the next Year, announced during the live Broadcast of the Emperor's Birthday Celebrations. It has been announced that the Emperor will marry on this date next year, and the Partner the Nation will have voted for, so far nothing new.
What was new, however, was allowing foreigners to apply for the position, too.
The online registration Website has promptly crashed under the amount of applicants, while the Senates have reminded the Nation in an evening Broadcast that the actual Disciplines and Tests for the Empress-to-be are going to be revealed at the first of the new Year, once the Application Period closes.
There was, however, a second announcement made:
Effectively from that day on, the Elder Senates have signed the so called Same Sex Marriage into law. They have however noted, that there is no such thing as same sex marriage in law now, just marriage. Clarifying that in terms of tax reliefs, which only happen if you raise children, and inheritance or other laws, the both are considered equal and indistinguishable.
"We still expect these partnerships to challenge themselves with raising children to be members of Uburzian society, even if they might not be their own biological ones. Marriage is a tool, to ensure the functionality of society, with a purpose. Love was never part of that equation, even if the notion is admirable."
Many have speculated the Elder Senates considered the reveal a kind of Birthday Gift for the openly homosexual Emperor.

Invitations sent out for MCUR Council

While the Nation was mostly focused on other matters over the weekend, the Elder Senate had been more than busy. It has been publicized that invitations have been sent to several signatory Nations of the MCUR to send various lawmakers to the Empire. The goal of this Council is too understand and adapt the Issues the Empire currently sees, or maybe didn't yet see, in it's laws and law enforcement that prevent it to be conform with the MCUR. From what the Elder Senates have suggested, the invitation has been sent out to every current signatory nation, granting the Envoy the status of a Diplomat should the Empire currently have no Diplomatic relation with said Nation.
It is so far unclear how long the process will take, but the Senates have suggested it will not be a speedy process.

Elder Senate praises Nya Aland Military Leaders

The Elder Senate has decided to Voice their opinion on the Situation in Nya Aland, and praise the current Leaders of the Military in their attempts to keep the Peace while holding their Democracy together.
"In difficult Times, when the very Foundation of their Nation shakes, the Nya Aland Military stands Vigilant to protect the Process and give no side their Favor. It is a rare sight to witness in times of turmoil, that the military does not grab power by overthrowing or attempting to coup the weakened governments, but stand their ground to protect democratic principles when unforeseen issues came up."
In addition to this Statement, the Elder Senate has declared it would offer the Current Leaders, Military or the Future Head Gothi, whoever it might be at the end, their support in the current times. Prince Regent Albrecht backs up East Moreland in Dispute with Rokkenjima

In a statement from the Palace, the Prince Regent has published an official statement of the current affairs:
"As current Regent to Emperor Orion, i must take a position in this Conflict.
Let me be very clear: There is no such thing as an Experiment from Northford. For all the Years i have been in this Position now, the Kingdom of East Moreland has always been approachable. Not once was the Path of Diplomacy ever barred between our Nations, even in times when we clearly differ in Views and Actions.
Unlike Rokkenjima, we have a Regent assigned for an underage Ruler. And i will be as blunt as to state that it shows. Not only in the Empress' thoughtless verbal attacks on one of the greatest Soft Powers on all of Mundus, but in her proposal for the so called concerts of democracies as well. The Proposal manages to be equally naive and imposing, thus should have been a school essay and not an international proposition.
I sincerely hope for the future stability of all of Mundus she will refrain from such thoughtless publications in the future.

Bride Village ready for the Contestants, as Himmelstadt becomes Host city

Following a secretive Vote between the remaining Candidate Cities for hosting the upcoming Choosing of the Emperor's Bride, Himmelstadt has been selected. The smaller City, home town to the current High Priest of Death, had been able to provide a large enough plot of Land now settled with a large amount of small wooden Huts that will house the Bride Applicants. The Scenic Hillside had been an abandoned Bungalow Complex in recent years, and had been redeveloped with the Wooden houses over the last weeks.
"We have put many extra security meassures in place in and around the complex due to the nature of some of the applicants, and added a perimeter around the area during the contest." The Local Mayor announced

Imperial Family Hosts traditional Orphan Dinner during Festival of Love

As it has been tradition for many years now, the Palace is hosting Orphans from all over the Empire during this day, granting them the atmosphere of a loving home sharing in the family spirit with the Emperor and his nieces and nephews.
When approached by some of our Reporters about the next weeks, he said:
"I just hope she will be ready to host together with me next year. This is important for those unfortunate to not have a family of their own. I lost a large part of my family when i became the Emperor, i hope to give at least some of the support i had at the time to others. Though you'll have to excuse me, there'S a private tour through my gallery for some of the interested ones, and today, they take priority over the press."
Nya Aland Embassy lit up in support of the Country

In a symbolic act reminiscent of the 2019 small diplomatic incident, the Neu Uburzis Embassy was lit up in Neon signs again. This Time however it was lit up in traditional Odinistic Symbols and a sign reading "We stand with you." - the Ambassador has read out a statement that he wanted to show support with the Nation facing difficult times during a Constitutional Crisis, and has repeated the offer from the Elder Senate that their door was open, if they needed support in these difficult times.

It came as a surprise to our Journalists covering the Freestone festival that they spotted our very own Prince Augustin among the the crowd. We had been able to talk a few lines to him before he returned to a small party group together with Princess Rhiannon and other Children that had the opportunity to pick the Acts on the Children'S stage this Year. When asked if we'd see him on stage, the prince replied that
"This is not my festival, for once the stage should be for the music acts and the ones who had picked them. It's Mary Orson's and the other young hero's day, not the day of a foreign prince in a bunny costume. I did bring some funds from my allowance with me to the festival, though. They will get added to the Leukemia fund since it's a topic dear to Princess Rhiannon and myself."
While he avoided the stage himself, we did witness him unable to avoid some attention. Augustin got at least a couple autograph requests for his voice acting as Schnuffelchen and as side Character in Stoffel.
Though the real surprise was that aside from him, where the other Imperial Nieces and Nephews, where spotted among the crowd, too. While mostly hidden among the crowd and attempting to be mostly incognito, we did recognize Kurt von Uburzis and his Wife overseeing the whole range of youngsters. We of course left them alone, as we believe the family took solace from the hectic the Bride choosing must cause at home. We did however notice that aside from Augustin most of the others kept to themselves. Only notable exception was Sebastian von Uburzis, who had a spontaneous Violin contest with other musicians around his age.

Preparations for the Fashion Week 2024 in full Throttle

While most of the Country have been focused on the Lives and Daily Routines of the Empress Hopefuls, Niameck has once again prepared itself to become the Fashion Capital of the World for one Week. While it is uncertain how many International Shows will be held this time, it is already going to be a busy week through the smaller local Labels alone. Many Uburzian' Artisans have set up in local venues, from the shopping malls to the Bars everything in Niameck will have their own Fashion shows.
Henriette Herrlich, who's Label "Toga Today" had exploded in sales since the first Fashion show, gave us the following statement:
"I can't wait to return to show the Nation this Years newest Toga fashion. My craft is deeply rooted in our Nation, and seeing so many of the smaller Artisans to band together for their mini shows gives me hope that Princess Adelheid's Event is here to stay for a very long time."
The Fashion Week will run from February the 19th to the 25th this Year, having moved a little bit back in the Calendar since it's first iteration.

Parents Concerned about Holmgang Memes

Concerned Parents spoke in the Senates about a surge of so called Memes containing a stylized depiction of the East Moreland Princess Rhiannon with the caption "Holmgang!" right below it. They urge the nations other Parents to better Control what their offspring posts and shares across social media platforms, especially if it suggests another child to take part in deadly combat.
The original artist of the Picture that currently circulates has for now privated their online gallery, at least until after this has blown over. Though we do have a written statement from his parents:
"Our Son deeply apologizes for what his picture has been used as. He did not add the Caption to the Picture, it was simply a stylized imagination of the Princess in her Viking dress from the Festival of sail. He did not wish for his work to be used in such demeaning and disrespectful way and is currently struggling with tons of death threats from all over the world. Please understand that for now he is hiding with some of our relatives. Please do not try to contact him, he is going through enough right now."

As a surprise to most, the Palace has released a written statement as to why Figure Skater and Hopeful Empress Irene Riesling had dropped out of the Contest to become the next Empress. According to the Palace, a DNA test routinely done to contestants claimed to have unknown parents, revealed an uncanny close match with the emperor himself. And after further testing it has been determined that Irene Riesling and Emperor Orion have the same Father, the late Emperor Hektor von Uburzis. It is still unclear where or who Irene's biological Mother is, but the Palace has confirmed she has since moved into the Palace for the Time being.
The Emperor released a statement adding the following:
"Irene get's along great with her Nieces and Nephews, which is all that counts for now. This is a difficult time for her, and it will take a time for me to be comfortable calling her Sister. Yet, to me it was known that my Father had had affairs. The yelling between the him and my Mother had echoed through the castle at times."
It stands to note though, since Irene is the daughter of the Empress Consort and not the Ruler, she does not stand to inherit any title nor does she join the ranks of claimants for the throne.

Marine and Airforce ready to support Nya Aland, if needed

The military command, together with the Elder Senate and the Prince Regent, have decided to reiterate that if Nya Aland needs help dealing with the Gungnir in any shape or form, they are ready to do so. Unlike other Nations though, they currently did not employ Ships or Vessels into the Region yet. An excerpt reads:
"....and while we are ready to Jump in and Support Nya Aland's democracy, actionism and symbolic politics might hinder their efforts more than help. We are ready to deploy support at any given moment, even if we are not directly allied, but will stay action until noticed."
Some yet unverified sources claim the school currently under Control of the Gungnir might have a single Uburzian student, though nothing concrete has been confirmed yet other than heresay.

Ambassador's Son suspected of joining the Gugnir

Among the shocking news about the Gugnir attack on the Alander Democracy, disturbing news about the Son of the Imperial Ambassador in Nya Aland has reached the Empire. Ortwin Voss, son to Ambassador Caius Julian Voss, is suspected of colluding with the Gugnir. The Ambassador has been caught on a partial recording with several news sources as he seemingly had been yelling at staff for being put on leave. While we still clear up the Audio, so far it can be assumed that Ortwin is suspected of working together with the Gugnir in some capacity.
The Palace so far has reported that they'll look into these claims, and see into Ortwin's communication to the embassy. Though they have stated that Ambassador Voss was put on leave before this reveal.

Elder Senate takes Position in Troyes Conflict

The Elder Senate has decided to release a statement on their current position in the conflict surrounding the City of Troyes. According to the Elder Senate, while Marseille does have a claim on the city, this claim should be staked and discussed through the regular diplomatic channels and not open the possibility by force. The Elder Senate also states that the so called republic does not exist, and urges the armed assailants and gunboats to stand down and allow an orderly conduct.
They also wish to clarify that while Marseille has a claim on the city, it would only be to be expected that Marseille would have to make concessions to Seaforth for years of building infrastructure, security and amenities. The Senate states that anything less would be straight up theft at gunpoint.
