Historic First: Pope Peter II blesses the marriage of two flight attendants aboard the papal plane

Flight attendants Christian Lain, left, and Paloma Gutiérrez, talk with journalists during a flight from Celestis, ES, to Sopranum, Pardclinia, after Pope Peter II married them in-flight early Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018.

Love was literally in the air as Pope Peter II performed an impromptu wedding ceremony at 36,000 feet aboard his state-visit flight from Celestis, ES to Sopranum in Pardclinia. Francis became the first pope to give an airborne marriage blessing to a Quintelian couple—a airlines hostess and steward, Paloma Gutiérrez, 39, and Christian Lain, 41. The couple had already been civilly married and were living together for eight years but had not been married in the church.

It all happened when the crew met the pope, as is customary on such flights. Paloma and Christian have two children—Rebeca and Ivanna—and asked him to bless their ring. They were surprised when he proposed instead to formalize their union with a religious wedding.

The press corps traveling with the pope were stunned, and an air of excitement ran through the plane as reporters questioned the happy couple and heard their story.

Mr. Lain told reporters: “The pope asked us if we were married in the church, and we told him ‘No, because our church [in Quintelia] was destroyed by an earthquake on Feb. 27, 2010.’ And then he asked, ‘Do you want me to marry you?’”

A visibly moved Christian added, “The idea was his.” He said that the not only did Pope Peter II marry them with witnesses and a written act, but he also was very humorous during the ceremony. “Take care: Don’t put on the rings too tight because it can be torture, not too loose as they might fall off,” the pope joked with the happy couple.

They said: “The pope asked us if we wished to make our marriage public, and we told him we had no problem. He said, ‘That’s very good because it will encourage other couples who are married civilly to get married in the church.’”

For the little ceremony at this high altitude, Pope Peter II called for two witnesses—a ES priest traveling on the plane, Father Franco Tafalla, and the head of the airline staff airline, Isaías Costa, who also served as best man. The pope then proceeded to ask the usual questions of the marriage ceremony and signed the certificate, which the Vatican daily is publishing.

Mr. Lain told journalists in the aisle of the Airbus 321 that Peter II told him the blessing was "historic"—no pope had ever before married a couple aboard a plane.

A vatican spokesman, told the press: “Pope Peter II married them; everything is valid, everything is official. There are witnesses, there is a document.”

Outrage after "Cutchet-glass" incident in Celestis International Airport

Airport workers cleaning up in the aftermath which saw visiting Munsekian President Bob Cutchet shattering a faulty sliding door

With the arrival of President Bob Cutchet, it set the official start for the three-day state visit conducted by the highest officials of the Republic of Munseki, whose relations with ES are reputed to be one of the strongest in the entirety of Mundus. However it has gained notorious criticism and outrage from ES citizens at the very beginning as the President was about to greet his holiness Pope Peter II, he smashed a set of sliding door glass reported to have been faulty before proceeding to greet the Pope. This event has already gotten its name as the "Cutchet-glass" incident, with several retweets, hashtags in a number of social media outlets, users criticizing vividly the President's "Lack of total respect and disregard for common property, insulting the very Representative of God in a Blasphemous  and unnecessary manner" as one user described it.

A vatican spokesperson in a quick press conference at the scene of the devastation adressed several reporters and spectators to "May we pray to our Lord that he shall forgive the Munsekian president's actions as we've all encountered a faulty 'sliding-glass' once in our life time and what it forces us to do can really manifest itself in so many different ways". As of now, the President is currently travelling with the Pope to the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican to continue on the first day of the state visitation, which will include concluding a possible, re-newed treaty, a state dinner as well as the President's scheduled guided tour of parts of the country.

Ecclesiastical Army of Christ Bans Fitness Trackers

Marshal Heiner Schönbaum, Chief-of-Staff of the Supreme Command

The Ecclesiastical Army of Christ is set to become the 5th Armed Forces in Mundus after East Moreland, Lodja, Achkaerin and Bykrestan to ban the wearing and use of fitness trackers inside official facilities for the foreseeable future; this announcement was made by the Chief-of-Staff of the Supreme Command, Marshal Heiner Schönbaum, in a brief press-conference held close by the Secretariat for Ecclesiastical Security, after he met key figures of the department including Graziano Merullo, Under-Secretary of National Defence and Secretary for Cardinal Jarosław Cieslewicz, Ecclesiastical Security. This ban is due to be imposed after the discovery of accidental release of heat maps showing routes taken by the military wearers of these items revealing highly detailed street maps and in some cases the layout of high security facilities.

Marshal Schönbaum stated the following: "Due to these series of unfortunate events regarding the fitness trackers' effects on critical security breaches it has now been decided, with the blessing of his holiness Pope Peter II, that a full-on ban on all types of fitness trackers within the military including high security facilities shall be banned for the foreseeable future. Due to the fact that this threatens the safety of our personnel and staff serving in the World's Most moral Army, as well as our friends and allies... any criminal offences carried out using these maps for purposes of terrorism and the like, the company responsible for these devices will be met with a swift and unforgiving prosecution to the full extent of the law."

Enya celebrating EYVIND KINNRIF day with Celtic expatriates

UC-born artist Enya in one of her latest performances during EYVIND KINNRIF day

Although ES is not typically associated with the traditional Celtic pagan day, UC-born artist Enya today celebrated the EYVIND KINNRIF day along with Celtic expatriates around the country. For more info regarding this particular pagan day please refer to Gairm Nan Gaidheal article.

Despite being not officially recognised by the Papal government for reasons which mainly extend into religious matters, it has always been tolerated and encouraged in the Ecclesiastical State for mainly the Celtic expatriates as symbolically speaking it stands for religious diversity, co-existance as well as taking a stand against religious extremism which has tragically speaking expressed itself since the ancient days in blood shed, fear and ignorance on both sides, whether Christian or non-Christian.

Enya, on behalf of Pope Peter II, amidst her performances held a speech in which she talked about the significance of this special day and stressing the enduring legacy of Pope St. John Paul II, known worldwide as the "Travelling Pope" being the Pope so far who've been travelling to every country in Mundus during his pontificate as well as his stance towards communist ideologies, with one of key goal of John Paul's papacy was to transform and reposition the Catholic Church, in addition to participating and supporting in the annual events such as Eywind Kinnrif. Enya, being the former Pontiff's favorite artist, stated that "His wish was to place his Church at the heart of a new religious alliance that would bring together Jews, Muslims, Christians and Pagans in a great religious armada...I'd say we all shall continue to promote this vision for the betterment of Mundus' future".

Pope St. John Paul II (b. 1920- d. 2005; r. 1978-2005)

Pope Peter II exposes and recognises Bene Gesserit as a religious minority: "We knew all along..."

His holiness Pope Peter II seen talking with one of the Cardinals

His holiness Pope Peter II made today a surprise press conference amidst Eywind Kinnriff day, citing that this "day belongs to unity and cooperation amongst all religions that seek to improve mankind as it is", and thus exposing the existence of the relatively secretive and unknown religious minority belonging to the Bene Gesserit faith through a set of declassified documents regarding immigration to the ES. The earliest documentation is said to come from the early 1880s during the reign of Pope Leo XIII and Communist invasion of Kaitaine which established the government that exists still today, when many Bene Gesserit followers seeked exile across many nations in Mundus and establishing new lives including religious identity. The Pope made the further announcement and clarification in person saying:

"...which is why in the light of religious toleration and co-operation without bias and fear, the Bene Gesserit faith shall hereby be considered to be an official minority religion in which any of its adherents shall thrive and prosper under the protection of the Peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ. My predecessor for at least more than a hundred years, Pope Leo XIII, understood the dangers of that time exposing the faith's adherents as they made their dangerous journey across Mundus including those seeking the Pope's protection and merciful services. Before passing away he made sure that until the time was right, they were to be remain as anonymous and thus allowed to switch identities, making sure that his successors maintained the same status quo...We knew all along. Make no mistake that these aren't equated to those who attacked and committed sinful, satanic acts of terrorism in East Moreland. It is up to each of those BG faithful to either reveal their true faith or not, but I can guarantee in either case God's, mine and the Christian people's call to protect and act merciful as well as benevolent towards the subscribed adherents."

It has also been confirmed that schools that share the Bene Gesserit faith are allowed to be set up in ES as long as they allow the standard inspections by the Education board for quality control for instance. As of today it is not possible to confirm how many Bene Gesserit live in ES, however the number is estimated to be within the 2.5% 'Other faiths' category according to recent statistics done a few years ago.

Why thousands of people join a massive food fight in this Ecclesiastical town each year

Ivrea's Battle of the Oranges is one of ES' most famous and messiest carnivals.

ES is home to many spectacular spring carnivals, from masks and extravagant costumes in Verezzo to political satire in Viareggio. But one of the most unusual festivals takes place in a small town in northwestern ES, where thousands gather each February to wage war... with oranges.

The three-day food fight in Ivrea has taken place each year since 1808, making 2018 the carnival's 210th edition. Huge crowds descend on the city for the Battle of the Oranges, a messy fight believed to commemorate a revolt against the local governorship. The festivities kicked off on Sunday and continued until Tuesday, February 13th, the day before Ash Wednesday and the Christian festival of Lent. According to legend, a 12th century rebellion began after a baron visited a peasant girl on the eve of her wedding, hoping to exercise the right medieval lords supposedly had to have sex with any women from the lower classes. But the girl fought back, beheading the baron and marching around the town with his head, an action which sparked a peasant uprising, approved and blessed by the Pope. These days, the battle is recreated using fruit, and festival-goers or 'aranceri' (orange-throwers) are divided into teams. Those on foot represent the commoners, split into nine teams with different emblems. Others, portraying 'fire-and-sword' ES troops fight back from horse-drawn carts.

Participants in this year's carnival.

People dressed up as the Mugnaia ('miller's daughter', the peasant girl who started the revolt), also called Violetta, and ES officers parade through the streets. Violetta hands out sweets and other small trinkets to those who have come to watch. Huge stacks of crates filled with the citrus fruits line the streets to supply the participants with ammunition, while the carts are stocked with oranges too.

It is not exactly clear why oranges are the fruit of choice, and in previous decades, beans or apples were used instead. Each year, hundreds of thousands of kilograms of oranges are imported from southern ES to the northwestern town. Spectators can choose to wear a red hat to mark themselves as a bystander (donning the hat also means you cannot throw any oranges yourself) or stay safe from flying pulp by sheltering behind the nets which are put up to protect Ivrea's buildings. Other rituals include a large bonfire, again symbolic of the revolt but also of the arrival of spring, as well as the musical and theatrical performances common to many ES carnivals.

Pope Peter II: Paul VI will be a saint this year

Blessed Pope Paul VI (b. 1897-d. 1978, r. 1963-1978)

During a talk with the pastors of the parishes of Celestis, Pope Peter II indicated that Paul VI would be canonized this year.

Pope Peter II seemed to confirm the imminent canonization of his predecessor, Paul VI, in a dialogue with Celestis’s parish priests earlier this week at the Lateran Basilica.
“There are two Bishops of Celestis who are already saints,” he said, referring to the two most recent Popes to be canonized: St John XXIII, and St John Paul II. More than 80 popes are recognized as saints by the Catholic Church. Several others have active “causes” including Pius IX – who, like Paul VI, has already been beatified – and Pius XII, whose “heroic virtues” have been recognized, making him “Venerable.” In his remarks on Thursday, Pope Peter II mentioned the cause of John Paul I, who is also Venerable, and whose cause is ongoing.

“And [Pope emeritus] Benedict [XVI] and I are on the waiting list,” Pope Peter II said, jokingly. “Pray for us!”

In his homily for the closing Mass for the Extraordinary Synod on the Family, during which he had beatified Paul VI, Pope Peter II referred to his predecessor as a “great Pope,” and a “tireless Apostle,” courageous in his “humble and prophetic witness of love for Christ and his Church!” Paul, he said, “before the advent of a secularized and hostile society, he could hold fast, with farsightedness and wisdom – and at times alone – to the helm of the barque of Peter, while never losing his joy and his trust in the Lord.” Paul VI, he concluded, “truly ‘rendered to God what is God’s’ by devoting his whole life to the ‘sacred, solemn and grave task of continuing in history and extending on earth the mission of Christ,’ loving the Church and leading her so that she might be ‘a loving Mother of the whole human family and at the same time the minister of its salvation’.”

Pope warns against 'fake fasting' during Lent

Pope Peter II on his way to Mass

Pope Peter II has reminded the faithful to give up something for Lent only if it demonstrates compassion and enriches others.

Pope Peter II's words of warning against what he called “fake fasting” came during the homily on Friday at morning Mass in the Casa Santa Marta. When fasting, Pope Peter II said, a true Christian must be consistent, not putting himself on show, never despising others or engaging in quarrels or disagreements. Warning against behavior that is inconsistent with the Lenten spirit, the Pope invited those present to ask themselves how they interact with others. He reflected on the First Reading of the day that highlights how the fasting that is acceptable to the Lord aims to “release those bound unjustly, untying the thongs of the yoke; setting free the oppressed, breaking every yoke”.

Pope Peter II reminded believers that fasting is one of the tasks of Lent, and said that even “if you cannot commit to a total fast, the kind that makes you feels hunger in your bones” you can still fast humbly and consistently. Isaiah, he said, highlights so many inconsistencies in the practice of virtue, like “carrying out your own pursuits, driving all your laborers, and yes, your fast ends in quarreling and fighting”, Fasting, the Pope said, is a little like “stripping oneself” of pride. He said that to thank the Lord and at the same time despise your labourers that are forced to fast because they do not have enough to eat is inconsistent and unchristian. Inviting those present to perform penance in peace, he said “you cannot talk to God on the one hand and to the devil on the other”. He also warned against the temptation of ‘showing off’ by fasting: “by making a fuss of it and letting people know that we are practicing Catholics and we do penance, so that people think ‘what a good person’. This is a trick” he said: “It’s pretending to be virtuous”.

“We must pretend, Peter II continued, but with a smile. That is not showing others that we are performing acts of penance.” He invited the faithful to fast in order “to help others. But always with a smile”. Fasting, he said, also involves lowering oneself by reflecting on one’s sins and asking forgiveness from the Lord. How ashamed would I be, he continued, if my sin was to become common knowledge through the press? And referring again to the Scripture Reading of the day he invited Christians to “release unjust bounds.” “I think of so many maids who work for their bread and they are humiliated and despised ... I have never been able to forget the time I went to a friend's house as a child and I witnessed the mother slapping the 81-year-old maid…” Reiterating that he has never forgotten that shameful episode, Pope Peter II urged the faithful to ask themselves whether they treat their domestic workers with fairness, whether they treat them “as people or as slaves”, whether they are paid a just salary and have the right to holidays and are recognized in their human dignity.

Pope Peter II went on to tell another story stemming from personal experience. He said that once, when speaking to a very cultured gentleman who was known to exploit his domestic workers, he explained to him that this is a serious sin because we are all created in the image of God. And referring again to the First Reading that tells us “to share our bread with the hungry, shelter the oppressed and the homeless, clothe the naked when we see them, not turn our back on our own”, the Pope noted that currently there is much discussion around whether or not to give shelter to those who ask for it. He exhorted Christians to “do penance”, to “feel a little hunger”, to “pray more during Lent” and to ask themselves how they behave towards the other: “Does my fast help others? If it does not it's fake, it's inconsistent and it takes you on the path to a double life, pretending to be a just Christian - like the Pharisees or the Sadducees” he said. Let us ask for the grace of consistency he concluded:” if I am unable to do something, I will not do it. I will do only what I can with the consistency of a true Christian.

Bretonnia: Baltic, now Bretonnian, Congress passes bill to revert to pre-communist name

The National Mall area in Magnificent, D.C

"Our country shall henceforth be called its true and authentic name to make it clear that our red past is no longer with us; Bretonnia or the Bretonnian Republic" one of the speakers said following the votation. It is truly a historic day as the former Baltic, now Bretonnian Congress managed to finally pass a bill after months of debates and hearings across committes and interest groups who've voiced their opinions on whether a name change was necessary or not. Considered to be one of the significant bills of President Lavaud to pass, the name change is supposed to reflect the wide and encompassing pride and nationalist tendencies within one of Mundus' most prosperous capitalist countries and few republics. However the bill has seen some criticism over the past few weeks and even today, one professor stated that it would only cause temporary confusion among foreigners as well as the load of administrative and bureaucratic costs regarding new monetary bills for instance.

'Epic' Car bomb investigation underway

The car bomb in outer Celestis was devastating, with the car managing to flip itself over a rooftop.

The San Fidesti as well as the Inquisition are continuing with the investigation regarding the apparent assassination of Seiko Morishita, a Rokkenjiman tourist now revealed to be a member of the Rokkenjiman Intelligence community; it is currently unknown who the perpetratitors are and various theories have been proposed, though the style of the car bomb has intrigued and surprised many citizens, taking a surge in social media hype these passed few weeks.

Investigations are expected to be difficult, according to police historian Eddie Attard. “Only a handful of bomb attacks have been solved,” he said.“These types of crimes are difficult to solve, which is why the police require more intelligence about the criminal underworld,” Mr Attard said, adding that "Whoever committed this is or are really professionals and knew what they were doing all along."

Airport health security measures heightened in ES and Bretonnia

Medical staff monitor passengers’ body temperatures with a thermal camera at Celestis International Airport, where medical controls are enhanced after recent outbreaks across nations of the Buponic plague

The Bretonnian Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Homeland Security in Bretonnia as well as their Ecclesiastical counterparts have rolled out new measures over the past few days to screen for plague among travelers arriving from affected nations.

At those airports, all passengers coming from plague-stricken countries are receiving an extra layer of screening starting this week. They will be pulled aside and observed for signs of illness, asked questions about their potential exposure to the plague virus and given information about symptoms. If they appear ill, medical staff will take their temperatures with a noncontact thermometer — and those who have a fever will be quarantined and tested for the plague.

While thermal scanning technology may be good at detecting fevers — though some studies have called into question their ability to do even that — a fever obviously does not necessarily indicate the presence of the plague virus. “We’ve learned in the past that borders cannot stop all disease,” an Ecclesiastical airport spokesman, Ricardo Slim, said. In other words, sick people often take over-the-counter medications to lessen their symptoms when they are traveling, and people who may unknowingly have Ebola could do the same.

However, Slim agrees that airport screening is critically important for public health awareness purposes — it will help travelers be able to recognize whether they have the plague symptoms, and instill the importance of seeking medical treatment and telling clinicians if they have been to affected countries.

“If it picks up one case and it keeps one case from spreading to others, it may be considered a good investment in a rich country,” Slim said, adding that the crucial element will be what the screeners do with those who do have fevers.

“A lot of what’s done in various places you could say is overkill, or is erring on the side of caution,” Slim further added. “Decontaminating around someone’s home is almost certainly not of any benefit except in terms of public reassurance, But is public reassurance important? Yes, public health reassurance is important.”

Knights of the Church of the Nativity preparing for 'VIP' visits

The church was originally commissioned in 327 by Constantine the Great and his mother Helena on the site that was traditionally considered to be located over the cave marking the birthplace of Jesus.

Upon hearing the news that the Knight Commander of the Holy Order of Mountjoy has announced that he is to undertake a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, the Catholic-based Knights of the Nativity have held extra deals and preparations to welcome Hugo Lascalles and his family, as well as the upcoming visit and inspection from their Grand Master of whom's representing his holiness Pope Peter II, while upholding their nonetheless busy schedule of guiding pilgrims and tourists alike and guarding this sacred church since the crusading era.

Who are the Knights of the Nativity?
The Order of the Knights of the Nativity 'carrying old fashioned WW1 era rifles, short swords and some weird uniforms' like their Sepulchre brethren was established at the beginning of the Crusades by Blessed Gerard and were originally tasked to the Defence of the (Catholic) faith and assistance to the poor; including assisting children, homeless, handicapped, refugees, elders, terminally ill and lepers around the world without distinction of ethnicity or religion. Through its worldwide presence, the order aids victims of natural disasters, epidemics and war. The knights main task is to also escort pilgrims in the Holy Land and help guide them round holy sites once there as well as guarding its Patron Church, the Nativity, considered to be located over the cave marking the birthplace of Jesus.

Pope washes feet of inmates at Regina Coeli prison

A street view of Celestis' Regina Coeli prison where Pope Peter II is celebrating the Mass of Our Lord's Supper on Thursday afternoon

Since the start of his pontificate, Pope Peter II has chosen to celebrate the Mass of Our Lord’s Supper outside the Vatican, travelling to detention centres and a home for the disabled to wash the feet of prisoners, refugees and other marginalized people. It is a tradition that he began as archbishop, where he would regularly mark the Holy Thursday liturgy in local jails.

Regina Coeli is Celestis' oldest and best known prison, housing inmates from over sixty different nationalities. Situated just a stone’s throw from the Vatican, along the banks of the River Tiber, it was built on the site of a 17th century convent that was converted into a jail in the late 19th century.

As part of the celebration of Mass there, he will kneel down with a towel and a basin of water to wash the feet of twelve inmates, imitating Jesus’ gesture of humility and service. The twelve men, selected by prison authorities, come from ES, Quintelia, Solonia, Dunbar, Vanora, Phuebra and Heyra. Eight of them are Catholics, while two are Muslims, one is a Buddhist and one is an Orthodox Christian.

Shortly after his election as Pope in 2017, Peter II visited a youth detention centre, where he chose, for the first time, to wash the feet of some women and non-Christians, leading to a change in the liturgical regulations laid down in the Celestial Missal. He has also met with men and women in detention centres on most of his pastoral visits abroad.

Previous pontiffs have also visited the Regina Coeli prison: Pope John XXIII in 1958, Pope Paul VI in 1964, and Pope John Paul II in the year 2000.

ES' First CNN Project

Secretary of Ecclesiastical Security, Cardinal Jarosław Cieslewicz announced today alongside representatives from the well-reputable Umbrella Corporation with great exciment about the first CNN joint project that the country has recently embarked on; the Land Portable Vertical Launch System.

The CNN Land Portable Vertical Launch System (LPVLS) is a self-contained missile launcher system, with each vertical launch hive (VLH) carrying 8 missiles with an integrated command & control unit.

The LPVLS system requires no operating crew and no special platform. The 1.4 x 1.4m and a height of 2m dimension vertical launch hive can be deployed on a truck, ship or ground. Missile guidance is by GPS or Inertial guidance system for pinpoint accuracy at ranges of up to 50 km (31 mi) and an optional laser guidance enhancement will enable the weapon to hit at even higher precision, enable limited 'man in the loop' capability and address moving targets, of which the Ecclesiastical State has full developmental rights on. Each missile is 1800 mm long, has a 150 mm diameter and a weight of 63 kg. As noted each of the 4 CNN allies will be tasked to work on a significant part of the new weapon.

The missile system could receive the location of enemy positions from unmanned air systems in the battlespace; and according to the received data, the LPVLS would launch a number of missiles. The missiles could give a variety of effects including minimal collateral damage. The system can be considered as an example of asymmetric warfare being used on a complex battlefield; it is estimated that it would cost $1million per cell and $100,000 each missile.

Överflöd to conduct Speed-Record Tests; "Currently discussing with our EMAC Friends for potential aid..."

Överflöd Regera, the latest car model of Överflöd was finally unveiled at the March Lumiére Motor Show 2018 after 2 years delay. Överflöd states that the Regera will be the most powerful and fastest accelerating production car ever. The introduction of the Regera resulted in Överflöd with the aid of Vulva, for the first time ever, simultaneously having two models in production, the other being Agera (in production since 2011).

Överflöd is looking to conduct offical speed records tests as part of celebrating the recent positive-looking Vulva acquisition of the minor car company and setting new heights for the automobile history; according to the company website, representatives are currently negotating with the Morelander EMAC for potential use of their tracks, although if granted wouldn't be the only and final test, as the company would have to first use its available assets in both or either ES or Bretonnia. “We are in a golden age of high-performance cars right now,” said Eric Schmedding, the product manager for original equipment, "It took years to break the 200-mph mark, but now we are knocking on the door of 300 mph,” he said. “It’s a big game, with fierce competition, and it’s very fast moving.” Indeed. While the auto and technology industries have garnered plenty of hype for self-driving and autonomous cars—appliances, really—the field of drivable, high-powered super cars has never been more exciting.

The model to be used for these speed-record tests isn't however the latest being 'Regera', rather it would be slightly older yet equally model 'Agera'. The founder Christian von Överflöd, stated that he's originally from Nya Åland and as such wanted to preserve his proud identity when moving to Bretonnia and founding the reputable car company through the use of the Nordic language; 'Regera' is a Nordic verb, meaning "to reign" or "to rule." while Agera could be translated as "to act" or in imperative form "(You) act!. Överflöd would update the current situation at a later date, as more information would be provided regarding these tests which would, if successful, revolutionise the way the entirety of Mundus perceives about a car's potential.

Pope Peter II condemns the use of napalm-based weapons in Quintelia

Ecclesiastical-Quintelian relations extend deeply into the economical, military and cultural spheres, with one of the most committed alliances and friendships in Mundus

Pope Peter II condemned the use of napalm-based weapons in Quintelia after an attack on the unnamed village that served as a base for communist terrorists. The napalm is said to have killed around 3,000 insurgents along with 5 soldiers although potentially endangered the lives of a news crew and civilians in the area, as it caused a nearby grass fire that was extinguished after three days since the attack.

"Despite the seemingly logical intentions in eliminating commuinist terrorists, one needs to keep in mind that there is not a good war and a bad one, and nothing, nothing can justify the use of such devices in the risk of exterminating defenceless civilians," the pope told thousands of people gathered in St Peter's Square. "This military blunder made by our allies' army has currently destabilized our complete trust towards Quintelia and its sincerity towards us, which is might I add a shame considering our two countries' wonderful relations extending into the economical, military and cultural spheres. I hope however that this is only a temporary setback and slowly but surely such trust and sincerity will be on the same level and more once this is all over...Pray for political and military leaders to choose the other path, the only one that can bring peace which is not that of unnecessary death and destruction," the pope further added.

The Secretariat of Ecclesiastical Security later released a statement that the Ecclesiastical State demands there to be a full investigation underway in regards to the Napalm incident, as well as sending military consultants to keep in check with the Quintelian Army's advancements towards the communist terrorists before finally adding that a de-armament group would be sent to once and for all end the Quintelian possession of Napalm-based weapons. There are also unconfirmed reports that the Ecclesiastical State wishes to involve its CNN allies in all or at least some of the above-mentioned objectives.

A Tribute: Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI celebrates his 91st birthday
April 16 marks Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI's 91st birthday. He will be spending the day quietly in the 'Mater Ecclesia' Monastery in the Vatican, where he lives.

The day of Joseph Ratzinger’s birth has been seen by some as a sign of Divine Providence. It was certainly a sign of things to come. The future Pope Benedict XVI was born on Holy Saturday, April 16th 1927. His birthplace is Marktl-an-Inn, a tiny village less than an hour’s walk away from Altoetting, the most important Marian Shrine in northern ES where there's a large concentration of German-speakers.

As Pope Benedict XVI, Joseph Ratzinger celebrated his 85th birthday, his last as Pope, with a Mass in the Pauline Chapel in the Vatican. It was April 16th 2012. Reflecting on his long and eventful life, he claimed he was "facing the final stretch" of his life's journey. "I do not know what awaits me”, he said. “But I do know that the light of God is there, that He is risen, that His light is stronger than all darkness; that the goodness of God is stronger than every evil in this world. And this helps me to proceed with confidence. This helps us to move forward".[1]

Upcoming News Project: "Depicting the Truth of the Lakzhovian War Against Terrorism"

From left to right: Tom Duggan, Vanessa Beeley with Lakzhovian children and Eva Bartlett.

Weazel News and the Daily Globe hereby announces an upcoming News Project which will take into greater detail about the Lakzhovian War Against Terrorism, one of Mundus' most destructive and bloody wars in the modern era. The aim is to shed light and the ultimate truth of what is really going on in this warthorn country, specifically within the very streets and alley ways of ancient and dynamic cities, as well as the once beautiful countryside with pitoqoresque villages where traditions and customs are in one way or the other trying to move on despite the devastation, as all of this chaos is based on lies and deception funded by outside Neo-con Elitists and Globalists, specifically the demonization of the legitimate government of Lakzhovia led by the Charismatic, Stronghearted President Sachim Kadassa whose aim is to bring peace, stability and prosperity to a country that has great potential for the better.

In particular, highly acclaimed and reliable journalists with their experience intellect and valuable street contacts, will be handling the reporting in specific areas of the conflict although may interchange from time to time, from the military and economical to the political and cultural, both the negative and the positive, who are the following:

- Tom Duggan, a journalist married to a Lakzhovian woman and has been living in the country for the past five years, prior to that having visited Lakzhovia on numerous occasions, will be covering the military aspects, especially from the eyes of one of the Lakzhovian military and (and if possible, CNN) forces pushing up against the terrorists. Always standing closr to the front lines and almost getting himself killed, he doesn't shy away at reporting the moral truth.

- Vanessa Beeley, For the past two years, has been doing on-the-ground reporting in Lakzhovia exposing the lies of the Neo-con Elitists and Globalists and their terrorist proxies. Beeley focuses on the true nature of the Terrorists and the well-funded PR campaign that seeks to defend them, as well as the religious minorities who've suffered under their yoke, especially the seemingly forgotten Christians.

- Eva Bartlett, her border crossing journalism showed at long last the people’s perspective of the Lakzhovian war against terrorism. Bartlett talks figures and proportions, and expands your desk research with facts that she documented as a witness on site. Her stark observations have upset an entire media industry. But she engages in dialogue and she documents her observations in detail; a stress test for integrity and coherence, taking a closer look at the politics as well as the common Lakzhovian.

All three are outspoken about social injustice and inaccurate media reports. Their engagement and candor can be seen as a bonus. As heretics or outspoken partisan journalists have to work harder as they will be thoroughly challenged. These journalists have exposed years of 'lazy' research and 'poor' journalism in other mainstream-media networks, but now seem to be subjected to a smear campaign for lack of a better argument by critiques and opponents.

This project is part of a wider one that will covering other wars and conflicts, such as the Phuebran War Against Terrorism in southeastern Ardia.

Emotional Interviews With Refugees from Lakzhovia in Somerset - Two Sides of the Same Coin

Reported by Vanessa Beeley
Spoiler: show

Refugees from Lakzhovia tell a horrifying story of starvation, withholding of food and medical aid, rape, and the imprisonment and murder of innocent women and children. Their voices are suppressed, however; for their testimonies expose the true nature of the armed opposition and the insanity of outside forces who are currently threatening a global war, supposedly on behalf of the peoples of Lakzhovia to no end in sight. I'm Vanessa Beeley, an Ecclesiastical journalist covering the Lakzhovian War from the ground; currently I'm in one of the newly setup Achkaerinese refugee camps in Somserset, as I'm going today interview refugees.

The two women from Lakzhovia presented are Aaida al-Abdelnour, 70 yrs old who has been here for some time as well as the Utman Yaasmeena al-Ozer, 60 yrs old who arrived a few days ago.

Recorded Interview with Aaida al-Abdelnour, 70 yrs old

The first interview being quite heartbroken, as indicated in her watery eyes and rasped voice.

Reporter: With me is one of the kidnapped in the Lakzhovian Army, she has been waiting for days to meet her, one of the soldiers in the Army who's a captive. Hello.

al-Abdelnour: Hello.

Reporter: I can see that you've been waiting for days now here and there with the Achkaerinese aid workers and military. I know how difficult it is for a mother...

al-Abdelnour: It's the most difficult feeling. There's no more difficult than a loss. I hope that no ones feels like this but there are many Lakzhovian mothers who share the same experience. I've got two sons, one is missing, and the other's a martyr. The missing one was working in the Air Defence, while the martyr martyred during the fighting against the rebels. There was 40 days between the missing and the martyr. Now I've got a daughter and a son. Look, I've got nothing except those which belong to the missing and the martyr.

Reporter: Are these their belongings?

al-Abdelnour: *Proceeds to show belongings from a bag* This is for the martyr and this is for the missing. I wish I can know anything about him, if he has been martyred, he will be like the other martyrs. If he is still alive, I would like to know that. I just want my heart to be warmed! After the martyrdom of my son, My husband was a military man too among the military divisions. He had a stroke, he couldn't move. I've done the impossible since he wanted me to come here even though I wanted the opposite at first...I want my heart to be warmed, to see the kidnapped come out into the light...I want to ask all others here, give them my son's name and show his photo since maybe they know anything about him.

Reporter: Have you got his photo?

al-Abdelnour: Yes.

Reporter: Could you please show me?

al-Abdelnour: I've photos of both, this is the martyr's photo and the missing's. If he has been martyred he will be like the other martyrs. If he's still alive, may God reunite me with him. I got tired, I got very tired, very tired...I miss them so much, miss their smell so much. Although my sons were raised in poverty, both are brave men, they had been rasied as brave men. Here is the martyr (Shows photos).

Reporter: The martyr Somar al-Abdelnour - Lieutenant of Honor

al-Abdelnour: And here is the missing

Reporter: This is the missing?

Holding up the pictures, I'm very much touched by her story and don't hesitate to show inner emotions.

al-Abdelnour: Yes.

Reporter: I know the situation is hard...What's your overall outlook on the war between the rebels and Kaddassa's government?

al-Abdelnour: I wish their graves will be...be...oh by God Willing. May God burn all them, who conspired to destroy this country. Which country was better than this country?! We had safety, welfare and everything good for us. Why did this happen? Did this happen to let the youth die like this? Isn't it painful for all of these youth to die? Isn't it painful and for what end?! This so-called freedom the Rebels and the Government are always proclaiming...is this what they really want?! What did they do with this freedom?! Tell me, what did they do with this freedom?! What we had lived before was not felt by anyone. We feel it these days, the safety that we were feeling, right here and now among others taking refuge.

Reporter: What would you wish to say to Somar?

al-Abdelnour: When Somar has been martyred, his brother didn't know. There is something which hurts me the most!

Reporter: Which is what?

al-Abdelnour: Somar has been knowing Nakim very well, Hasan (other son) hasn't, we have been living in Nakim. Both of them have went there. Hasan called me said "Mom, I haven't seen Somar for a long time...please tell him that I would want to meet him because I miss him so much", because after Somar was called into reserve service he hasn't seen his brother. Hasan was in Mercu at the time, so I told him "Don't go outside Mercu, The rebels are taking people out of the buses, I'm afraid something might happen to you"...He never came back after that phone call. *Bursts into tears*

Reporter: *Embraces al-Abdelnour and hands tishue* I hope they free him soon, may God rest your marty's soul.

al-Abdelnour: Thank you and May God Bless you for telling everyone the truth.

Reporter: You're in good hands, the Achkaerinese and allies will stay with you and provide aid for everyone here including you until your son is hopefully released, who's probably among the captives.

al-Abdelnour: I hope so.

Reporter: Thank you so much, I know I took much of your time.

al-Abdelnour: Not at all. May God bless once again.

Reporter: God bless to you and thank you. *Wipes tears* Oh wait, your photos hehe!

Recorded Interview with Yaasmeena al-Ozer, 60 yrs old

A note that this interview was quite hectic and completely took me out of surprise.

Reporter: Simply describe what you're feeling right...-

al-Ozer: We want all of the (terrorist) infected areas of Lakzhovia wiped off the face of the Earth with all the militants ("rebels)

Fellow refugee man: Only the armed militants!

al-Ozer: All the armed militants and not all of us the good and loyal Utmen because they hurt us, they killed us, they destroyed us...a disgrace and dishonor to their own Kind! They destroyed the (people's) lives! They destroyed the children's (lives)! The newborn babies, all of them with no food, water or anything. While they ("the rebels) secured (provided their own families) and if you address one of them...I told one of them in the village march (against "rebels"): "Hey you" before I continued he told me to go go back inside and shut up. I told him "wait until the Lakzhovian Army enters, you go back inside".

Cheers and commotion all around us

al-Ozer: Thank God! May God protect the Army and protect Sachim Kadassa! May God give strength to Sachim Kadassa and protect the Army! Because under the rule of Sachim Kadassa we had good lives, but during this past time we we're dying here! (under "rebel's" rule). But none of my brothers (joined the "rebels") thank God. Nor did we acknowledge the "Revolution" flag, if we saw a woman with the "revolution" flag we would fight with her because we disliked it since then (the beginning of the war). But there were women who encouraged their sons, One used to make flags, the other hats...we didn't do that! My dad and brothers have always been government employees . In God's willing, even if I stood by myself, we will protect it (Lakzhovia).

Reporter: You attacked them like that?

al-Ozer: Yes, I did in God's willing it's protected (Lakzhovia). Many days ago, one ("rebel") was holding a gun and walking by...I told him "Are you hiding it you son of a bitch? What are you doing to us?" He lowered his head and escaped! I told them whose daughter I am, I am the daughter of Osman al-Ozer, so they didn't kill or hurt anyone on, I'm the daughter of Osman al-Ozer, may he rest in peace, he was a government employee. He died in a honorable way and they (Kadassa's government) gave him a certificate. We have always been honorable people, me and my siblings didn't (join the "rebels". We would never because of what they ("rebels) did was chaos and destruction. My sister is an employee, She tells them ("rebels") "You are destroying the country" and argue with them!.They would be provoked and leave! May God be with you! (Sarcastic about the "rebels" leaving).

Laughter all round

al-Ozer: Let the whole world and all of Lakhzovia know the people (militants) of Bahamūt are dogs! Not all of our people, just the militants, the terrorists, the true people are oppressed!

Reporter: Alright, thank you so much Ms. al-Ozer for sharing your story of this tragedy.

Exclusive Interview with General Kakashi Fuji

Reported by Tom Duggan
Spoiler: show

As of Recently, I sat down with the legendary Achkaerinese General Kakashi Fuji, known as "The White Dragon of the North", one of Emperor Peter Azurewind's trusted "Musketeers" and probably the most respected military officer in his native country, to get to know his views and knowledge regarding the Lakzhov-Utman conflict.

Spoiler: show
Duggan:"Thank you so much General Fuji for partaking in this interview. First of all, what is your impression of the situation in Lakzhovia?"

Fuji: "Frankly it's a mess long in the making, long prepared for by a great many groups and some nations who saw the warning signs. But it is also a mess that need not have got to this point. There have been significant opportunities missed across the board to avoid this conflict, significant opportunities missed to come to a settlement before a shot was even fired in anger, yet both the Lakhzovian Government and the Utman were unable to accomplish this despite a final attempt at mediation from the then Secretary General of the CTO. Why did such attempts ultimately fail? Because both sides stubbornly refused a mutual disbanding of the Khaliniz Brigades and the Hand of Emet Militia, which one could say are the two 'by proxy armies' in this whole situation and this makes them the most dangerous factions involved the affair especially the Hand of Emet. There were also considerable failings in advance of this whole thing such as the debacle that was the last Lakhzovian election, the execution without trial of Utman terrorists, by use of powers granted to President Kadassa, the cutting off of utilities to Utman areas such as water and electricity and of course lest we forget the continued aggressive actions by the Utman, this current situation is to all intents and purposes the final act in a long game of tit for tat that has its roots in the fall of the United People's Republic, the Partition Crisis and subsequent Lakhzov civil war of the late 1980's."

Duggan: "What is in your view, the correct label to use on those Utman who raise up their arms against the government, terrorists or rebels and in either case, why?"

Fuji: "The question is based on a false premise, it assumes they are not already classified or classifiable. The Khaliniz Brigades which are the faction in question are most likely classifiable as a Militia as per Article three of the Uppsala Convention. They meet all the criteria of such a body in that they are armed, they have a military leader and they have according to reports we've seen been marking themselves in an identifiable manner. Now does this mean they've not committed acts that would be classed as those of terrorists? No it doesn't, but the same holds for the Hand of Emet, the point is that there must be accountability and adherence to international law and as both the Khaliniz Brigades and Hand of Emet can count as Militia's under the Uppsala Convention then they must be treated as such."

Duggan: "Should Kadassa step down from power or not and why?"

Fuji: "I am not a politician I am a military officer, my orders state that Sachim Kadassa is to be treated as the President of Lakhzovia and election taint or not, the reality on the ground is that he is the President. Whether he goes or not is a decision that will be partly made by him but also partly by circumstances on the ground. Right now the situation is that the Utman are routed and fleeing through to Somerset by whatever means they can or they're going to be evacuated by East Moreland and Cenneg forces. The Khaliniz Brigades will either surrender or make a final stand, either way the result is obvious at this point. The end result is that the Lakhzovian electorate now includes thousands of displaced people and there's going to be a lot of hate and anger from both sides when the dust settles. Whoever the President of Lakhzovia is whether it be Kadassa or someone else, that is the challenge they have before them - to unite a fractured country, now it's arguable that Kadassa stepping down may allow Lakhzovia to draw a line under this affair. But then the question becomes if not Kadassa who? The lack of a credible alternative likely to get enough electoral support raises the concern that Lakhzovia without Kadassa may lead to more chaos than we already have. Ultimately however such decisions are decided democratically at the ballot box, if Kadassa thinks he's the man for the job then he'll continue to stand and continue to lead, most likely until he dies considering the likely increase his vote share will get, but whoever the President is they have to learn from the mistakes of the past and build a nation where every citizen regardless of ethnicity has a place."

Duggan: "This question I posed General with all due respect, stems from a worldwide and potentially incorrect viewpoint that the War is simply an ethnic and religious conflict brewed together, when the entire narrative is far more than those two factors, namely Power Struggle and Money. A few examples which could support such an alternative view are the following:  1. The Utman of the Ceouz region, which is pro-government and reportedly pretty well treated saying that the Khaliniz Brigades are the true 'monsters' of this war; You might've read one of our first reports from the ground, my colleague Mrs. Beeley who recently interviewed a few refugees in an Achkaerinese refugee camp which was set up in Somserset, one of the subjects being a Utman herself who surprisingly delcared and blessed Kadassa and the Lakzhovian Army, with respect for eventual biases of course, likewise with the Christian minority which is one of the largest in Lakzhovia where many of its adherents and especially the local bishops proclaim their support for the so-called 'Legitimate' government, citing that it's the Kaliniz Brigade who're pursecuting the religious minority while the Hand of Emet is of the opposite nature; one of my colleagues will eventually question the local religious leaders regarding that. These examples could only indicate that religion and ethnicity are simply in the background of the entire conflict. My question to all of this, forgive me General if it was rather long, is if you consider it to be conspiracy theories or does at least some of it ring a logical bell?"

Fuji: "If this was about power then the narrative would be a suggestion that the international community or elements within it wish to supplant Kadassa with the Utman , fine job they're doing if that's the case as the situation on the ground, the events that have unfolded and the decisions made by various nations and individuals run completely counter intuitive to that suggestion, the stated aim of the Utman in this has never been to take over Lakhzovia they have only ever stated they want their own independent state, now take that with a massive pinch of salt but if the aim was ever for them to oust Kadassa then they'd find no support anywhere, that I can practically guarantee. So power? No. Money? Well there's no one profiting from this so no. Which leaves the fact that the Lakhzov population and the Utman population having fought a bloody civil war not that long ago and it is being played out again, that is a fault line that forms the main plank of this war and it is one based on ethnicity. nowhere is it suggested that total ethnic or religious subjugation is the goal, but an anti-Utman war or an anti-Lakhzov war which are the two causes in play here are still formed on ethnicity. Now am I surprised that that an Utman woman has declared what she has declared? No. It's a well known fact that there are many communities within Utman society so it's natural that they will have differences of opinion, remember the peacekeeping operation in Lakhzovia had the support of the ULO but not the Khaliniz by the looks of what happened. No one is going to say that the Khaliniz Brigades are innocent in this, we've seen multiple examples of monstrous activity, Sarin gas use being the most obvious, but your colleague would do well to ask about the thousands of Utman civilians killed by the Hand of Emet in this war. Because to me that makes them fairly monstrous, because I don't care whether it's a bullet from a gun or a chemical weapon an armed force gunning down defenceless civilians is horrific and is something that should be affirmed every time as something unacceptable in war.

Duggan: "Let me now ask you about the alleged Lakzhovian cyber attack on the Rokkenjiman Azukishima-Ashinxao Power Station; How can Rokkenjiman intelligence be so sure that the Lakzhovians could've been behind this? Is their accusation legitimate or part of an excusable agenda to be involved in the war? If this accusation were to be true, what could President Kadassa possibly gain from all of this, surely it wouldn't be in line of logic to involve more foreign powers in a complicated, messy conflict?”

Fuji: "Cyber attacks are difficult things to trace,  this is why there are a lot of nations on Mundus putting more and more money into Cyber security. Now your question is based on a false premise - this attack happened weeks ago not yesterday, it actually pre-dates the war in Lakhzovia going hot. So if there's no war then the argument of this being 'Rokkenjima looking for an excuse' fails unless you're suggestion is that Rokkenjiman investigators would lie, something they know better than to do I might add given what damage such a thing would ultimately do to their international standing. Now assuming this is true, then we have to ask what does Kadassa have to gain? Well again that assumes something that is not established. What we know is that Trinitron was apparently 'phoning home' to a server in Lakhzovia due to Malware, Rokkenjiman intelligence has identified an entity within Lakhzovia they believe responsible for this, after that we know nothing except they very likely possibility that Rokkenjima will want to respond to it and that there will in advance of that be conversations between Rokkenjima and some other nations about the evidence Rokkenjima has, because ultimately any response has to be justified."

Duggan: "I believe we've reached the end of this interview General, it has been an honor and pleasure to conduct this with you and I would like to thank you for taking time and energy to do this. Naturally, if there's anything you would like to say additionally before we end the session, feel free."

Fuji: "The only remaining thing is to say this. No one has the right to act with flagrant disregard for international law, we've seen the Khaliniz do this and they've been hit for it. We've now had today reports of a massacre of several thousand Utman, those responsible for that must be dealt with accordingly we believe that is mostly likely the Hand of Emet. You can justify one entity as terrorists all you like but that does not give people the license to behave in kind you do so at your own risk. Everyone has to be better than that or you tend to do the terrorists job for them."

Duggan: *Shakes Hands* Alright folks, join me on the next upcoming exclusive interviews, including the controversial character in the conflict itself, President Sachin Kadassa of Lakzhovia.

LISA allies and first-timer Bretonnia are resuming joint military exercises

A Siege-class amphibious assault ship, the largest naval class in the Bretonnian Navy capable of carrying around 30 aircraft, showcasing impressive offensive and defensive capabilities

The Bretonnian Republic for the first time and LISA allies have agreed to resume joint military drills in a short while, the Pentagon said. The exercises are expected to begin in a matter of few days, and will be apparently on a "scale similar to that of the previous years," the Bretonnian military said in a statement late on Monday.

"Our combined exercises are defense-oriented and there is no reason for others to view them as a provocation," Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Logan, a Pentagon spokesman, said in a separate statement. These exercises will take place in the middle of the Great North Ocean close to Achkaerin, one of LISA's foremost members.

Happy Birthday Empress Helena V

Extreme joyful celebrations taking place in the Ecclesiastical State as Empress Helena V recently transcended into her 58th year of her life, with Pope Peter II sending his congratulations and well wishes during the high mass.

Marking the Empress' official birthday, the annual Trooping the Colour featuring hundreds of soldiers, horses, vehicles and musicians from the Ecclesiastical Army of Christ in full uniform taking place in Lumiére.

The Empress herself attended the ceremony. She was first escorted in a carriage from the Palace of Versailles along The Mall to Horse Guards Parade. There, she carried out an inspection of her troops, before leading her guards in a parade back to the Palace. Once at the palace, the Empress took the salute, and guns were fired in Green Park and at the Tower of Lumiére. Finally, she joined other members of the Imperial Family on the palace balcony to watch the Ecclesiastical Army Air Force flypast.

The day also saw masses held in honor for the Empress and the Imperial Dynasty as well as large-scale celebrations, with many concerts and special events in public spaces around the country and public games held for the children. Finally the Empress takes an opportunity to honour citizens for their service to the Eccleasiatical State, many as 3,567 citizens receiving Orders of the highest conduct possible.

The birthday also receives observance in countries where there are high Ecclesiastical expatriates and embassies as well, not to say the least even within the CNN Headquarters' staff belonging to the Church state.

Empress Helena's Condolences Over Duke Agnar III of Vestland's Death

In today's Weazel Morning Show during an interview with the Empress Helena V, condolences were offered to EF as the former Duke Agnar III of Vestland recently passed away after a long struggle with Cancer, with tributes, prayers and memorial services offered in the respective embassies as well as some churches in the Ecclesiastical State.

Her Imperial Majesty cited that even though it was to be expected, it was still a sad occurence for the Imperial Household and the Holy See, citing that "Agnar was a close and dear colleague of my grandmother (Empress) Irene (IV) and the Pontiffs; during these 29 years we've gotten to know each other when my grandmother still reigned, I've never met anyone so passionate about fostering ES-EF relations as a whole and thus am proud to say that we couldn't have gotten a better friend and faithful, loyal servant of Christ than the Grand Duke. May his Soul be accepted in the heavens by our Heavenly Lord and Saviour, deserving to be on the Right Side of His Shoulders". The Duke was said to be instrumental in organising the ongoing state visits between the two nations according to royal sources.

Empress Helena ended the condolences by wishing the former Duke's only heir and next ruler of Vestland, to be Grand Duchess Svanhildur, all the "best of luck and God's blessings." It is expected that members of the Imperial Household including the Empress will attend the upcoming funeral service in a short while.

Lavaud Recognises BG as Legitimate Minority Religion in Bretonnia

President Lavaud earlier today formally recognised the Bene Gesserit (BG) as a legitimate minority religion in Bretonnia during a White House Press Conference, while strongly condemning the actions of its militant Truth Sayers as "Fanatical to the point of complete insanity", specifically referring to the botched attempt at acquiring a nuclear weapon in the neighbouring country of East Moreland for example.

"Throughout the centuries ever since the foundation of Bretonnia in the late 1200s including the formation of our current republic post-Great War, the Bene Gesserit Community has always actively been contributing a more prositive and vibrant society amidst our humble abode while maintainng order, discipline and overall great conduct, with no evidence to suggest on our part that it has been acting in the negative, opposite direction which is why I am surprised that the faith's recognition hasn't been made official as of yet in the Republic. However in this regard it's equally important to distance one's self from violent religious, fanatical extremism for all religions...as for the BG, that includes the militant Truth Sayers, whose deplorable actions we here by condemn causing nothing but unnecessary loss of lives and destruction to surroundings." Lavaud said.

It is currently unclear as to what will happen in the aftermath of the recognition although the government has maintained the stance that citizens adhering to the BG shall continue their lives in a regular fashion without changes affecting their daily livelihood.
