Hello!
Two forum-related posts in a day!
As some of you may have heard, Simple Machines have released a new version of their forum software: SMF 2.1 (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=580585.0).
New features include:
- A new WYSIWYG editor
- 'Real-time alerts'
- Support for mobile devices
- Draft messages[/i]
- Mentions like @CGJ
- Embedded attachments and an easier way to upload attachments
To allow for modifications and themes to update (we're using 12 mods and 3 custom themes!) I haven't upgraded the forum yet, however for when we reach better compatibility, I wanted to throw this open and let people suggest themes! We're likely looking at an upgrade over summer this year.
There aren't many themes for SMF 2.1 on the official SMF site (https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?action=themes;major_smf_versions%5B0%5D=2.1;start=0), but there are more sites out there. Of courses special credit will be given to anyone feeling specially creative and who volunteers to create a custom theme for TIO!
Ideally I think we'll need a light theme and a dark theme. Feel free to use this thread to suggest themes.
