A royal welcome (open to all)
« on: December 25, 2022, 07:31:50 PM »
Crown Princess Shuri, Princess Hiromi and Duchess Tara organized a house warming party, in Buckham Palace, and the palace grounds. It was now a fairly warm day, with not much clouds and luckily no chance of any rain.

The reception was a means to make new ties or strenthen already existing ties with other countries. The reception program was made so there was live music with a small stage where several up and comping local bands would be performing to anybody interested, and in the evening there would be a dinner.

The trip was dressed extremely elegantly making the natural beauty and charm of each royal, that much better. Shuri was dressed in a frog green dress, with a simular short skirt, just reching the top of her knees, Hiromi was wareing a black dress that just ended on the upper part of her knees, and Tara was waring a beige 2 part dress.

It was the day of the housewarming party nearly 3 PM, when the official start was announced, so there where no early arrivals yet. The trio would be scattered in 3 different locations around the grounds, and then make there way into the palace to continue the reception in a few hours. Luckily the live music in the garden was not too loud, and was near one of the main gates to the estate, so the arriving vehicles could drop the guests off and park in the designated covered guest garage.

Tara looked around, at some of the secret service agents, gently waving of some of them, she was the lower rank out of the 4 girls, but she was not jelous of not being a princess. Only Gamora and Shuri where a bit unhapy with there titles. Neither of them really wanted to become queen or crown princess in the first place. but now that they where, they would have to continue until they would be gone, hopefully that would not come for another few decades at least.

There had been great discussion in Northfort when the invitation from Bambulina had arrived. They were a nation very few knew a great deal about but one thing they had been aware of was units of child soldiers during their 1990's conflict. The Morelanders had a strong moral code that found the concept unacceptable and had even tried to highlight the use by the Bene Gesserit of child soldiers much to the apathy of the rest of Mundus. Therefore while normally the KIng would have liked to be the one to attend the first meeting in living memory between the nations it wasn't deemed fitting in this case just in case the use of children in the military was still being tolerated in some form. As such it was going to fall to Prime Minister Henrietta Quinn , she held a dubious position in East Moreland, she was more the chief adviser to the King rather than a political heavyweight and she formed a link between the Representative Council and the crown, what was handy though was her title and standing with the royals marked her as having enough gravitas to attend events such as this. It was even nice to have been loaned Ironside One for the flight across the Illumic. Accompanying her was Sir Harry Sameulson the nations Minister of Defence. If it came to assessing the nation on its stance on matters of concern he was well placed, in addition he'd served as Prime Minister himself so was a good person to accompany the current incumbant.

As they arrived it would naturally be Henrietta who would lead the wayout of the aircraft taking great care that her thin delicate rapier on her hip didn't trip her on the steps down.Harry had less issues with a shorter gladius style sword. The pair pair were just thankful they'd kept the tradition of being punctual as they arrived first and introduced themselves to the Crown Princess. "His Majesty King David send his greetings but business kept him in Northfort. He hopes you accept his apology and looks forward to meeting at some part in the future. He asked me to deliver this." She handed over a hefty brown leather book containing illustrated maps of the history of Mundus. It wasn't as old as it seemed, it dated from the 1920's but seemed much older. It had become custom of the King to gift books on coronations but obviously Bambulina had missed out on that. "His Majesty has always been keen to share knowledge with the world and has always given books as a symbol of friendship. I hope it will be accepted as an extremely late coronation gift and a sign of friendship."

Queen Gamora though it best to personally welcome a the head of a country that they did not have so much official ties, even tought the Azarathian royal family members, especially Gamy, Shuri, Hiromi and Tara, have visited the country often, due to performing or attending concerts, or simply leisure travelling.

Now, Gamora was at on the tarmac of the city airport, next to the VIP terminal, with secret service agents of both countries working alongside each other, and with the host country now supplying the VVIP motorcade, that was lined up nicely.

Gamora had a few personal body guards around her, and also a few aides within a few steps of her. Gamora knew that King David whould not be there in person, she has been briefed and also gained a large insight on Morlander protocol, and looked up at the opening air craft door. She always got a little excited everytime she met somebody new or everytime she was visiting or welcoming heads of state or there representatives.

She was wareing elegant silk gloves currently, and was in a really elegant dress, and a equally elegant hat. She smiled warmly at the arriving PM. And waited until the Prime minister came over. "Prime Minister Henrietta... welcome to Azarath, i am happy that you have come. " She smiled at her, and if she was offered a hand shake, she would accepted. She then turned to the Minister of Defence, not really sure why a Minister of Defence was coming to a Housewarming party, but rolled with it. Either way, she also greeted him. " Sir Harry, welcome to Azarath... i hope your trip was turbulance free. " She broke into a wide grin and had a hard time not laughing.

She then listened to the PM and nodded gently, as she took the book, opening it carefully. It was a book of maps, and for a moment her face went sad and dark. She has been the leader of several wars, greatly shaping the last era of Azarath, it greatly pained her that she was responsible for some soldiers never coming home alive, but the survival of her own country was at stake more then one time. Gamora spend several seconds thinking deeply, before closing the book, with a weak smile. "Thank you, his gift is well recieved, and it is better late then never. " She smiled shyly and then as she saw that one of her personal aides moved up to her, she gently gave the female the book. "Come, Buckham Palace aawaits you arrival. " She said with a little more happiness in her voice, as thinking about the wars always made her sad and upset.

Lady Filippa might have been rejected as a member of the Celestial Family however her cousin Queen Atalanta still valued her as a poetntial future diplomatic asset for the nation. Besides if the Queen was going somewhere then she wanted some company and Filippa was her favourite family member. The Queen had been devestated when the Oracles had ruled that she was not blessed by the Gods enough to be a member of the nations royalty but that would be made up to her. The duo had noted that their aircraft had been put into a holding as they saw the East Moreland aircraft making its final approach, they were next. While the Morelanders had needed to worry about their swords as they exited the aircraft for the Cassiopeians it was Filippa's poor eye sight that would be a problem. With one arm locked to the Queens and one on the harness of her guide dog Kipur. The duo arrived safely at the foot of the steps and made their way to where the Morelanders and their hosts had gathered. Kipur sat dutifully as first the Queen and then Filippa greeted the Queen and then the Morelanders.

This had not been Sachio Heishi's first time outside of the country; during his time in the House of Representatives, back in the late 70s, he had the opportunity to visit Achkaerin, and later, as a member of the House of Peers, he had visited a number of countries. Even as Chancellor, he had played guest to a number of monarchs, prime ministers, presidents, and other leaders, so he could hardly say this was a new experience. That being said, now was different. A final show before the hammer fell, when he would at long last make his play to cement his family's place as the masters of the Empire, a new Taira Bakufu to survive ten-thousand years.

However, as he sat in his state-car—a black Ikeyamada Century Imperial—he knew tonight would certainly be one to remember. It wasn't really his style, these Azarathean monarchs with their uncouth modern tastes and sensibilities, but even so, it presented him with opportunity both to bolster the image of his beloved homeland and in a more self-serving sense, to position himself as a legitimate figure to lead said Empire, ostensibly on behalf of His Imperial Majesty. He could stomach his disdain for one night, given all of that. He'd become quite good at that, among a number of other things. As such, he, joined by his son, Prime Minister Suketoshi Heishi, stepped out of the car and walked over to greet his host.

"On the behalf of His Imperial Majesty, the Heavenly Sovereign, I would like to express his remorse that he is unable to attend." The senior statesman, dressed head-to-toe in the court uniform of the Empire of Daitō, with all of the accoutrements that came with it. He took brief note of the other guests thus far; for East Moreland, there was their Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Cassiopeia, their Queen and a representative whom he wasn't particularly familiar with, and for Heyra, the Governor of Elysium. "Alas, as I am certain you are already keenly aware, he remains at home to care for his family, and as such, I have taken it upon myself to serve as his most humble representative for the time being."

The next air craft to arrive, was that of Cassiopela, after the East Morelander aircrafts has been towned a slight distance away, to may way for the other incoming air crafts.
The Cassiolean aircraft soon opened, and a trio of 2 people and a service dog made there way to the tarmac. The sight of a blind visiting royal was actually a first in her time as queen.

The sight actually confused and threw her off for a few seconds, before being able to recollect herself. She however was really happy that others also accepted her inivations and smiled widely as she greeted them.

" Welcome to Asgard, Queen Atalanta, i am happy to welcome you. " Gamora said as she shook the hand of the other pretty good looking queen, and then also shook the hand of Lady Phillippa. " Lady Phillippa, welcome to Azarath, i hope both of you had a plesant flight. " She smiled skyly at the really cute Noble. Gamora also gently waves at the service dog, clearly knowing how important of a service the four legged staff did. " Also welcome to this beautiful four legged guest. " Gamora giggled slightly, as part of her love of dogs showed in her voice. " Preparations for your arrival has been made ready at Buckham Palace, but we are still waiting for others to join us. She said, as she glanced over the disembarking staff members, and very soon the aircraft was also towed a little further, to make way for the chartered commercial aircraft that King Maxine and his entourage and staff was travelling on.

He smiled gently at seeing only 2 personal body guards, and felt that having so much secret service members around her for a bit too much, but she has learned from her own past and the assassination attempt on the former queen, her mother. It was best to have much more security... all it took was one jelous or crazy person change history and she would not take that chance.

Hell, she was damn luckiy to have survived the war in 1990, even with a team of 6 bodyguards, 2 of who gave there lives so that she could walk away from a fight. She never forgot that, and still hated herself for that, even if she tried to send them away. She snapped back into the present, with a shy smile. "Governer Maxine... welcome to Azarath, i thank your greatly for accepting our invite. " She waited untill he went over to her and then shook his hand too.

As the aircraft was also towed a little further, another aircraft was towed in place, the nest vehciles where driven instead of the air craft. As the person got out to approach her, Gamora looked at his elegant Japanese style military uniform and smiled at he approached. "Hello and welcome to Azarath, Sachio Heishi, thank your for accepting our invite... i do hope your trip was pleasant. " She said and then nodded her understanding. " Of course, i  thank you for your presence and understand that family still comes first. " Gamora nodded at him.

Sir Harry smiled as he replied. "The King was kind enough to lend us Ironside One for our flight. The thing is like a flying hotel so I'm not sure its possible to have a bad flight on it Your Majesty." The aircraft even had a small cinema that meant Sir Harry hadn't even missed the Keepton V's Silverhill rugby match en route. As they made their way to the the Palace they noticed some familiar faces joining them and the duo greeted each in turn as they waited to arrive at the Palace itself.

There was fashionably late and then there was downright late though Prince Simon wasn't entirely sure which this was counting as, there had been a fair amount of deliberation as to would attend and then the Emperor had ended up in a coma so a fair amount of rejigging had occurred with the result of Simon attending, tying his dark blue tie on he looked at where his wife Lydia, dressed in a dark blue dress was standing as their plane came to a halt "Girls!" he called and right on cue their identical twin daughters Aeolia and Lamia both predictably wearing identical dresses, with identical hairstyles came running in.

"Aren't you glad we've met them?" Lydia said
"More than anything." Simon said as they started walking down the steps looking around, at least it didn't look like that they were that late and there was the Queen, making their way over "Sorry we're late but circumstances will be what they want to be."

The Prime Minister, Suketoshi, was a much more pleasant individual than his father, Sachio. Where his father held contempt for the Azarathians, the Heyrans, and pretty much anyone that wasn't him or an ally, he had a different outlook on these circumstances. Sure, the thirty-seven year-old Army veteran, having served in the war on the Peninsula, cared little for the personal hobbies of the Azarathian royalty, but unlike his father, he didn't have much disdain for them either. It was simply a matter of taste, and indeed some might find his favored music—symphonies from the early 19th century and rock from the 70s and 80s—to be dull by today's standards, so who was he to judge?

Even so, he found himself deeply uncomfortable being here, and not simply because his prosthetic chafed against what remained of his left arm. Though he was a guest of the Azarathians, he had to entertain his father, that and to keep an eye out for his schemes. For though they were related by blood, Sachio and Suketoshi were, to put it bluntly, estranged. Yes, his father had pulled some strings to ensure he would gain the position of Prime Minister, a move which Suketoshi found to be deeply disgusting when he found out, but they were hardly on speaking terms. On the flight out here, they had barely spoken, confining themselves to separate parts of Suzaku One for most of the trip. But now, there was nowhere to run to. No place he could get away from his devious parent, and no way to ignore his lies. He wasn't like Jin. He wouldn't be poisoned against the true way, wouldn't be turned against the Emperor no matter the cost. As he listened to what his father said, about how the Emperor—how Eijirō—hadn't been able to attend, his disgust only grew. It wasn't solely because of a "desire to be with his family". Rather, it was an exile, plain and simple.
"Pleasant? Certainly, and quite fast, too. Nothing quite like flying close to Mach 3, especially in such comfort." Suketoshi said with a smile. "Of course, I will admit, it is a shame that the Chancellor and I had to fill in for His Imperial Majesty, but circumstances—" he side-eyed his father "—being what they are, at least this way, someone can speak on his behalf. Someone more... Qualified, even. In any case, I look forwards to being able to talk further in a few hours, your Majesty." He said before the two, with a bow, walked off to mingle with the other guests.

Deputy Foreign Minister Song Ji-ae led the delegation from the Republic of Djabidjan. Song, while still in her 40s, had gathered a wide experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, being present in most of the officials visits in the region, particularly those countries or meetings which were not considered a top priority by the government. She did not expect to see many familiar faces, but maybe a few well-known ones.

Along Song, there was an unexpected partner, MP Kwon Mi-yeon. It was her first travel abroad since the scandal that had involved her husband and her first official travel in official capacity. The resignation from a few Djabidjani People's Coalition members as consequence of the management of the recent humanitarian crisis, had led to some vacant positions in some parliamentary committees, including the national parliament's Committee for Foreign Policy, which Kwon was joined to the surprise of many, even Song herself.

"I hope we are not arriving too late", Kwon, who had remained very talkative during the travel, told to Song.

Deputy Minister Song Ji-ae expected and was prepared in case any reference or comment about the recent events that happened in her country during any conversation in their visit. However, she did not expect the first one would be so positive as Anginer's words.

"We're grateful for your offer", Song replied, "as I'm pleased that the challenges and the tasks addressed by His Excellency and our government have found understanding abroad. It is indeed both sad and despicable that some immoral and malicious elements are willing to distort the truth for their agenda, even if they are only a tiny minority in their own community, no matter how noisy some individuals may be. I'll personally inform President Min of your offer when we are back home".

Mrs. Kwon was certainly familiar which that kind of admiration being expressed publicly, even when such person was absent, although she felt this time it was expressed toward President Min himself. She did not lose her smile while listening to the conversation between Song and Anginer. "Nice to meet you as well", she added as soon as the Deputy Minister ended her reply.
