ROUTE 1
THE WAY OF LIGHT

The way of light is seen by followers of the Asotan Folk Faith as the most significant. It marks the route of the sun, the giver of all life, across the globe. The route runs in an almost perfect East to West straight line with several nations sitting along its route. It is believed that this mystic route provides the total of the planets positive energy and as such is frequently patrolled by sprites who are keen to see the forces of darkness do not corrupt it. While the capital of Aosta, Ovado, is built on the line the rest of the nation attempt to avoid construction upon the line hoping that this does not block the flow of energy. The only types of building generally constructed upon the line in Aosta are ones connecting to promoting good health.

ROUTE 2
THE WAY OF DARKNESS

The "vertical" line that creates the point at which Ovado is constructed. The Way of Darkness is thought to be the route through which most dark energy flows across Mundus. It is a superstition therefore that this line should NEVER be built upon and even in the capital only the Shrines are constructed upon it. This is rather remarkable as the line also runs through the city of Jerusalem, respected as a religious centre for various other religions. This fact is often quoted by the Priesthood as an example of non-folk faiths being merely covers for evil. The line also flows through the region of the Vatican leading many in Aosta to distrust the Catholic Church.
