The Blue Launch Party
« on: June 13, 2020, 10:31:44 PM »
For now this is an OOC reminder for myself and a heads up for people.

The Blue project is essentially like a mini world fair for Midaranye. Each of Tamora, Waddan, Abydos, Clysperis, Abuqiya, Safraen and Vanora have been given a pod which is essentially a 6 floor building that can serve as shops, offices, restaurants, museums, anything they want to show off their nation, create investment opportunities or sell products. There are several mini pods which are for use by Royal Seleucid and will be a combination of business and leisure facilities. There is also a marina for yachts, your not capable of getting a cargo ship in through, we want it looking pretty and expensive ;)

There will be a launch event which anybody is invited to regardless of their nation. This can either be a government official, a business person or even just an interested tourist.

If your one of the nations with a pod you are obviously invited to showcase what you set up too. If you don't want to I'll just assume that some kind of business has set up showrooms or something there.

I plan on kicking this launch off tomorrow properly when I get back from work. I just wanted to give people a heads up.

A long stainless steel flanked white stone walk way left the beach and headed out into the water where the crystal clear waves broke gently against the supports of the seemingly floating project. On the white island business people hurried back and forth setting up the final few touches ready for when the crowd amassing on the beach was forming. The areas between the buildings saw a series of different performers setting up, some were guitar players strumming to check they were in tune, while round the corner a fire-eater checked their equipment for the tenth time. The idea would be that inside the "Pods" people would be all about business and exploring the nation in question while outside it was all about a celebration of Midaranye. On the beach young Prince Golzar was standing around with some of the younger boys from the Soter extended family watching the various yachts moving in and mooring up on the outer ring of the construction.

From the city behind them came a loud roar as a flight of 9 F-21's , the nations newest military aircraft, performed an overflight in a V formation. As they reached the construction the centre one flew vertically while the others fanned out to either side as they made their own climbs, those to the left of the centre aircraft turning on bright blue smoke while the others turned on yellow, the national flag colours of Royal Seleucid. King Heydar watched part proud of the display but also part jealous as he'd have loved to have been flying one of those fighters rather than standing on the edge of the stone walkway. "Golzar" Heydar motioned for him to come over and join the family, the boy turned to his cousins said good bye and dutifully hurried over. "I know there are many things today a teenage boy would prefer to see and do" Heydar began instructing his son, "but for at least a few hours you need to be a Prince. You need to be seen in each of the buildings, find something you can say about each that is nice for the media to hear and look like your enjoying yourself. Once that is done then you can stuff yourself silly on sweet stuff." Heydar brushed some sand from his son's trouser leg while his mother Chyrssa straightened up his tie.

"Your Majesty, it's time" the aide responsible for keeping an eye on the smooth running of the days event informed the King who nodded his thanks and then took Chryssa with his left hand and his 2nd wife Haniyah in the right. Golzar held the hand of his mother Chyrssa and the four of them headed towards a podium facing the crowd a yellow and blue striped ribbon across the entrance of the walkway. Heydar waited for his wives to get to the top before joining them and faced the crowd while removing some paper from his inside suit jacket, "Ladies and Gentleman today we gather on the beach to marvel at another fantastic project undertaken by our nations great engineers. We saw them create the fantastic Palm project bringing jobs to the people of Ipsus and helping the city and therefore the nation prosper. Today those engineers have created yet more jobs for the city, but beyond that the work they have done has set a foundation for creating two things I think are equally important. The first is they have created a chance for us to take enjoyment from our neighbours. It is my hope that when we walk across the walkway here we enter a world where the various nations of Midaranye merge in a single location. This leads to my 2nd hope, that is the hope that our nations begin to co-operate on a whole range of exciting projects that benefit us all. We have seen in recent years great co-operation between ourselves and Tamora, what I believe is the worlds largest gigafactory has so far been the pinacle of that achievement in terms of industrial co-operation. It is my hope though that through companies and individuals being able to share ideas so freely that achievement will be the tip of the iceberg. Today we shall celebrate this project and the friendship I hope it will bring. Thank you for supporting us." He turned and a army officer handed him a light cavalry sabre which Heydar hefted ready to cut the ribbon to declare the project open. He stopped however and turning the sword so he was gently holding the blade he offered it to Golzar. "This project is for the future of Midaranye, so I think the future of Royal Seleucid should open it." He offered his son the sword.

Golzar nervously took hold of the weapon and wondered exactly what to say but managed a "Thank you" just about audiable enough for the microphone to pick up. He wondered exactly how was best to do this and realised his father had given him a clue and as his father had he held the blade high and with a swift downwards stroke cut through the ribbon leaving the two halves fluttering in the sea breeze. The crowd clapped and then as Golzar joined his father who put a paternal arm around his shoulders they all made their way across the walkway. This was the signal for those performers on the islands newly created to begin performing, by the time the King had lead the crowd over acrobats, jugglers, fire dancers and musicians of all kinds could be found in their little corners and niches around the new creation keen to entertain the crowd. Inside each of the pods businesses and officials from the various nations they'd been gifted to had a chance to attract the visitors in.

Towards the centre of the crowd was the newly wed couple of Mehdi Attar and his wife Naila made their way across. They'd been married just a week and their families had given them a fair amount of money to enjoy a honeymoon, they'd travelled down from Marvar in the north of the nation for a few days in Ipsus, they had made a decision to use the money to help perhaps make some investments, maybe set up their own business as Mehdi was the families second son so stood to inherit very little. The family weren't nobles by any stretch of the imagination but Mehdi's father had been a good businessman and owned a series of salt factories on the marshes that ran on the river near their home town. The family owned property across Royal Seleucid and there had at one point even been rumours that Mehdi's aunt may have been considered as a potential wife for King Akakois in her younger days. Mehdi and his wife were in the middle of the crowd excited to see what this new facility was like and it didn't take long for them to stop and marvel at a pair of men juggling with swords outside one of the pods. Mehdi stood with his arm around his new bride as they watched and considered which of the "National Pods" to visit first.

OOC- Not got any pre-determined plan here. You've the Royal Seleucid royals knocking about. You can use this as a chance to engage with them. You could have people go an enquire about businesses from Midaranye nations, maybe if you're a Midaranye nation try and entice the average Seleucid couple of Mehdi and Nalia in. Its open for whatever people want.

Peter Simod was rather intrigued by this project and so had travelled from Bakkermaya to see it for himself. The Zenith Data System business hadn't really ever stepped out from Bakkermaya but as their number of tests increased there was a likelihood interest in the products they could make would follow suit. He had no idea if Midaranye would stand out more than any other region as one that could see a boom in his type of "Biohacking" but even if it didn't it would be a nice few days away from Bakkermaya. He had a few things in mind that he'd like to find out about but first he was happy to just sit and watch some of the musicians with a cool drink in hand. Once he'd got a sense for what things were like he went in search for people who may be useful, finding someone who looked official he approached them. "Excuse me is there anyone here from the Gigafactory?"

The Tamoran Pod
« Reply #3 on: June 20, 2020, 10:49:32 AM »
The Tamoran Pod

The Tamoran presence at the event was notable. The Tamoran pod with its six floors had all been booked well in advance because of the high demand. Many Tamoran businesses and NGOs wanted to showcase what they had to offer and the Blue project was a perfect opportunity. Furthermore, in Royal Seleucid like in much of MidAranye, Tamoran business and NGOs felt at home and knew the local authorities would not cause them problems.
The Tamoran Pod had the first three floors dedicated to businesses and commerce, the following two to culture and art and the top floor to religion, especially Manism. The layout was not by chance and was meant to show the importance of each activity from the Tamoran perspective with business being the least important and religion at the very top in terms of importance.

The commerce and business floors (the lower floors)

The first free floors were full of stands where Tamoran businesses were trying to promote their products, whether they were cigars, such as the nationwide renowned Fatima Cigars, Tamoran Airlines as well as the Tamoras national giants: Machal Mining, Polakis Energy, Jalal Deer, Shahidi Pharma, Kadyrov Industries.

 Some highlights:

Spoiler: show

Tamoran Airlines, the largest airline in Tamora, advertised to potential customers “The Tamoran experience” and boasted to have regular flights to all major cities in MidAranye and Tamora something they claimed few airlines companies could match.

Halal cruises, extremely popular in Tamora, were also advertised at several stands as both as a religious experience and a family friendly experience.

Tamora Imperial Bank also had a major stand offering potential customers financial advice about how to invest in a sharia compliant way, how to invest in Tamora etc.

In the food court, visiting tourists could try some of the traditional Tamoran cuisine.

One small stand was dedicated to video games. Among the video games presented was Heaven’s Vault, an adventure game that invited players to explore life in MidAranye in the 0-1000 AD period.

Several prayer rooms were available on every floor.

Business opportunities for those attending the fair:

Spoiler: show

Kadyrov Industries is not just the largest business in the Tamoran Empire, having almost a monopoly on Tamora’s military industrial complex, it also often acts as a unofficial liaison for the Tamoran Department of War. Rumors has is the company is looking for services relating to security hacking. Officially, the company is only interested in services regarding the improvement of its IT security systems.

Machal Mining is looking to sell shares of its internal mining division that is registered in Elysium. So far the company has several very lucrative licenses in Zimalia and is looking to attract capital to further expand aboard. If rumors are true the company, of better said its international division, plans to go public via on initial public offering (IPO) on the Elysium stock exchange later this year.

Fatima Cigars is looking for distribution deals to sell its cigars in other countries.

TINS is looking to hire foreign correspondents. Candidates must have a good moral standing, respect the TINS ethnical code and “not be afraid to speak the truth even when it is not convenient”, knowledge of Parthian (even basic) is a plus.

Polakis Energy is selling shares at the Haghighi Dam in Zimalia. The Project is completed and has begun paying dividends to its investors. Polakis Energy is an intermediary looking to help Tamoran investors exist the deal (by selling their shares to other investors) so they can fund other projects.

Jalal Deer, Tamora’s largest agricultural conglomerate is looking to buy agricultural land aboard.

Culture and Art floors ( floors 4&5)

Above the business floors, the culture and art floors displayed part of Tamora’s culture. A large section of the floors were dedicated to book stands.

Main highlights:
Spoiler: show

Dorri Kaviani’s paintings , Tamora’s most acclaimed contemporary realist painter, were on display. Some of the paintings were for sale.

Several book stands were available. The selection was varied and it included all of 2018 top selling books.

One part of the floor featured traditional Tamoran garments.

Alya Safavid, First Wife of Emperor Abbas of Tamora, was also present promoting the Tamoran- Seleucid 4C charity that seeks, among others, to build orphanages for Clysperi orphans. Here one Clysperi orphan is telling Alya Safavid “I have seen you on TV!” to which Alya replies “You have?”

Music artists were also present, here is Niaz Nawab performing.

Another Tamoran artist. Ahmed Alshaiba, was also performing

Samira Hanifnejad, Tamoran ambassador of culture, and Tamora's most acclaimed filmmaker and script writer was also present and answered questions form the audience and signed autographs. Screenings of her movies including the Ozzie award winning "Silence" and "A Time of Darkness" where available for free.

The top floor: religion

The top floor was dedicated to Tamora’s main religions. By far the largest sections were dedicated to Manism but Islam and Christianity (the Armenian rite) were also featured. Unlike the other floors of the pod, all those visiting were asked to respect the Tamoran code regarding modesty including covering the head for women. All visitors of this floor got a copy of the book Mani in two languages Parthian and Latin*. On demand, free copies of the Quran and the Bible were also available.

Main highlights:

Spoiler: show

The interior of the top floor was lavishly decorated.

Prophet Mani’s portrait was on display everywhere except for the Islamic and Christian sections of the floor.

A separate section was dedicated to Tamora’s martyrs where the crucifixion of Dilara Highaghi was featured.

Images from Dilara’s funeral were displayed. Dilara’s body had been wrapped in white as a symbol of her purity.

Dilara’s resting place: the Mausoleum of Martyrs in Djerb.

A plaque commemorating the 100 Tamoran soldiers that died in the Clysperi civil war.

The floor also featured a small Christian (Armenian Rite) chapel.

@Robert:

The Giga Factory was a joint project Royal Seleucid -Tamoran project but since the Seleucid hosts were busy attending many other guests, Peter Simod was escorted to the Tamoran pod. Once they arrived there the host introduced him to one of the Tamoran staff of the pod.

“Welcome, to the Blue project, My Lord. Or should I say to this mini Tamora. My name is Rasha Vajifdar, I am one of the guides at the Tamoran pod. With whom do I have to pleasure of speaking? The Seleucid host that was kind enough to bring you here did not know anything other than then fact that you would like to speak with a representative of the Giga Factory“ she addressed him in Latin(ooc: or whatever the lingua franca of Mundus is) with a heavy Parthian accent. Since she didn't know who he was, she addressed him as “My Lord” in order to not offend him should he be a foreign noble.

Ion Voinea, the 80 year old real estate mogul from the Republic of Elania

The 80 year old Ion Voinea was the richest man in the Republic of Elania. He was also a level 10 ctizen out of a maximum of 10. By comparison, President Elena Marin of Elania was a mere level 7. Voinea was not young when communism fell in Elania, in 1990, nor was he one of the idealists that were oppressed by the communist regime. In fact he benefited thanks to his connections with the various bureaucrats in the government. And when communism fell those same connections allowed whim to appropriate large amounts or real-estate from the government to his personal wealth. In the early days the press talked about the bribes he gave to various officials, now, in 2020, he was model citizen, one who brought the Elanian state more than 400 million USD in taxes and a member of the National Union Front, the ruling party of Elania.

Voinea could not care less about MidAranye’s reputation of human rights abuses, he dealt with the communist regime in the past and had no regrets, in fact he would still do deals with Soviet Rodina and Kaitaine if he could. But even with his influence and power in Elania, he would not dare deal with them for fear of being imprisoned and stripped of all his possessions.

Voinea’s plans for the trip were simple, observe the event and look for opportunities to invest since as a real-estate mogul he had plenty of available cash, make contacts and see if there is anyone he might find fit to recruit for his business. He didn’t get where he was though business skill but through finding and hiring the right people that could do the work for him.

For now he looked at the Blue project and tried to assess its value. “The Seleucids are rich if they can afford to build projects like these. I guess swimming in oil helps” he said to himself. He was envious a bit that such a project could be possible in MidAranye but not in Elania because of the rivalry between his country and the soviet bloc.

NOTE: This is a post about my secondary Elania in case you are confused. It has no relation with Tamora.

then he walk toward tamoran pod first, well to be precise the food court first. it will be more easier to find clue and info in those places and personally he want to try the food of midaranye. after all this mission is classified as low risk, as he smile to himself.

Bryce Harkonnen and his wife Edith had arrived the day before the opening and enjoyed a day exploring the Palm down the coast. The legal expert from Aosta had been impressed and was already planning to book a few extra nights there later in the year, it would be a nice surprise for his wedding anniversary. Relaxation though wasn't why he was here primarily. As the future Duke of the Harkonnen family he was determined to make a few contacts and such an event as this was ideal. He was armed with a fully charged phone, a small notebook and two pockets full of business cards. He had Simon Fremen ran a legal company specialising in copyright and business law and with so many local companies concentrated in a place designed to take them more global he felt there could be a number of future customers. Naturally as the Theocracy of Kaitaine had an embassy with the Tamorans Bryce headed their first. "Bryce Harkonnen" he introduced himself as he handed over a business card to people manning the various businesses such as Machal Mining and Jalal Deer. "I'm one of the two owners of a specialist business and copyight law firm. Should you think of doing anything further afield from Midaranye and need any legal advice I hope you'd consider letting us help." He took time to engage with anyone seeming interested before moving on. It was Polakis Energy he wanted to focus on. "I understand you've already been busy in Zimalia?" He enquired. "Our company have connections with several companies that have patents for and interests in various methods of energy production. Perhaps for your next project you'd like to see what we can cook up" Bryce handed over a business card to the man on the businesses stand and then bid him good day. In his efforts to hand out his details he'd lost his wife.

Edith had lost interest in the business talk pretty early on and had slipped away to check out the traditional garments, she herself was dressed in a plain white blouse and a long flowing red skirt, light material but certainly clearly more "Western" in style than what she was looking at. It struck her that the more conservative dress of the women was in some ways not disimilar to what her mother would wear in her role as a Bene Gesserit Mother. "Excuse me" Edith attracted the attention of someone who appeared to be a store assistant. "I was wondering do you have anything like this" she gestured to a style she thought most similar to a Mothers robes. "Only it needs to be very plain, more dark, mabe black with some grey or dark purple." She wasn't sure if Tamoran fashion went that dark but it would make a nice gift for her mother, and it would be something she could wear while tending to her religious duties. Bryce found her after some searching.

"Spending my money again" he playfully teased her as he kissed her cheek and took hold of her hand. "So more clothing for that huge closet of yours?" he asked.

"No" she said sternly, "Its a gift for my mother." she explained. "Once we've got this sorted then perhaps we should find something for Louise" naturally they'd have to find a present for their five year old daughter who was spending a few days with Bryce's parents while they visited Royal Selecuid.

"Perhaps we should explore some of the other pods before we pick something. I don't think clothing is the way to go. After all six months time it'll not fit her." little Louise was growing rapidly and they'd already had to buy two sets of Chapterhouse School uniform this year.

Prince Jamshaid was the Sultan of Waddan's 6th eldest son and therefore a man with little or no influence at home. He did however have access to some funds, nothing compared to that of those he now mingled with. He looked at the fancy fighter jets overhead and believed that each of those was probably worth more than the Waddanites could afford in a lifetime. Even the boats in the marina were far beyond anything he could have imagined. The money though was enough to perhaps make him a little wealthier than his siblings if he managed it correctly and while they vied for the affections of father he knew it was more important to strike out on his own. He was accompanied on his visit by Mahfuz, one of his father's illigitimate sons. Mahfuz was not a Prince but the Sultan had ensured he had a good life and the 32 year old felt it was his duty to repay his father's kindness and so had found himself dedicated to looking after his siblings often as the head of their security, particularly his half sisters. He and Jamshaid though were close and when the Prince has persuaded his father to let him attend this event the Prince had asked for Jamshaid to come with him. They'd both been amazed so far. "Where to first?" Mahfuz pondered once the ribbon had been cut.

"We have to be diplomatic first" The Prince managed to manouver through the crowd until he found the Seleucid royals. "King Heydar" Prince Jamshaid attracted his attention. "I am Prince Jamshaid or Waddant. This here is my half-brother Duke Mahfuz." Mahfuz rarely had his title utilised but today was a kind of special occasion. "I want to congratulate you on an amazing project. It is rather mind blowing" he flattered the King, "My father is looking forward to the completion of Waddan Blue and of course you coming to visit once that young girl finishes her religious training. All the tribes look forward to getting a chance to meet such a generous King. You must forgive us as we need to go show our faces at the Waddan building. I do hope we see you there later perhaps." He extended a hand to the King and the young Prince while bowing respectfully to the Queens.

GROUND FLOOR

As Jamshaid and Mahfuz entered the building the aroma of roasting lamb filling their lungs. The downstairs was set up to look like you had just entered an oasis. Fabrics had been hung to create what looked like tents, the walls painted with murals looking like the sands rolling away into the distance and even sand had been brought in to create a desert feel. Wooden walkways linked the tents, some of which had food stalls in serving the succulent roast meat in flatbreads along with hummus and dates. Displays of citrus fruits were gathered together and in one of the "tents" a pair of women sat spinning wool using traditional tools. A group of young men sat on the floor outside another playing music and singing traditional songs of Waddan. Mahfuz recognised the song and couldn't help but join in much to the amusement of the singers and Prince Jamshaid.

2nd FLOOR

Having walked up the stairs the oasis beneath gave way to a large open plan space with a few stalls. Each stall was being manned by a man from a different tribe and each had a selection of their wares. Mostly fabrics of various types, wools, leathers. suede and hide. Some of them seemed keen to try and sell even to the two VIP's from their own nation and there was almost a competative feel to the floor. It was perhaps one problem with the Waddanite economy, it was rather narrow and the pair expected to see much more variety when they visited the other pods. Having not spent a penny they continued upwards.

3rd FLOOR

The 3rd floor was a kind of museum. The walls had various tapestries hung showing scenes from different tribes stories. It had been a real effort to find someone to write the stories on panels next to them so the uninformed on Waddan history, which probably meant every visitor, could understand what was being shown. It was perhaps one problem Waddan faced, they were still very much an oral tradition in terms of history and to reflect this various towers had been constructed around which sets of headphones had been installed allowing people to put them on and in several languages select a folk story to listen to. Three old men sat smoking around a circle of cushions on the floor, these were men capable of telling stories to groups of children if they came.

4th FLOOR

Unlike most Waddan probably didn't have enough to fill all their floors and so this was the final one with anything people could access. The top floor had been turned into a makeshift set of storerooms and offices for those in the other floors. The 4th floor though was where several young Waddanite friends of Prince Adnan were based, around them were boards showing the scenes of Waddan. They advertised some of the resources and business oppurtunities, tribes that thought they may have access to metals, other tribes with large livestock herds, ideas for solar farms and desalinisation. It was a chance for anyone wanting to find out how to invest to gather information. They Prince and Duke spent a while checking these out before heading back downstairs and leaving to explore elsewhere.

As Karl reached the food court, one of the hostesses noticed he was looking around and approached him:

Ayson Eranee, one of the several Tamoran hostesses that were there to guide and serve guests on the food court.

“Welcome, to the Blue project, My Lord.” She said in Parthian (the native language of Tamora) first and then in Latin (ooc: the lingua franca of Mundus or whatever you consider the lingua franca of Mundus to be). Since she didn't know who he was, she addressed him as “My Lord” in order to not offend him should he be a foreign noble. Depending in which of the two languages Karl answered she continued in that language:

“Would you like to try some traditional Tamoran food? It’s free of charge.”

A section of the food court in the Tamoran pod.

The hostess didn’t give Karl much of a choice as she immediately brought him a plate of kebab with rice and black tea. It was one of the traditional dishes of Tamora.

Spoiler: Karl’s mean and drink • show

Kebab with rice

Black tea

 The hostess approached Karl again:

“I hope the meal is to your liking, My Lord. If I may ask, from what part of Mundus are you from? I do not believe you mentioned.”

She tried to engage Karl as it was her job to entertain the guests and answer any questions the visitors might have in relation with Tamora and its culture.

Agent of imperial hand "karl"

"thank you very much miss"
then karl sit on the table and start to enjoy the food. well before he sneakily check the food whether it contain a poison or not. he starting to enjoy the kebab and tea that served to him. he even thought that if the chance happen for him to open a restaurant with midaranye theme, he should use tamoran cuisine as his poster food. then he continued to reply in latin,
"my name is karl ludenhoff, i am here as a business representative of a forgecity in ubrriekland. i was looking to visit several company that deal with machinery, civil or military equipment, and energy if i can. but personally i would love to see the culture of tamoran itself, and may spend some penny for painting or any art that might available for sale"
well, even if he failed. he should ready several gift for the high lord himself to lessen the punishment for failing.

“Mr. Ludenhoff, you’ve come to the right place. Just up the next floor we have representatives of some of the largest businesses in Tamora, Kadyrov Industries which sell arms, Jalal Deer which deals with agricultural machinery and Michal Mining just to name a few. Further up we have a gallery with paintings of some of our best painters. If you want I can escort you to any of these.

If I may ask, Mr. Ludenhoff, you said you are from a forgecity. Is that an industrial city ? I am not familiar with the term; I don’t think any of the countries of MidAranye have such a concept of a city “ said Ayson curious to learn a bit about Ubrriekland of which she had little knowledge of.

The man Peter Simod had approached was in fact one of the sites public relations staff, they were all dressed a like in sky blue blazers and dark trousers the logo of the project emblazoned on their breast pocket. "Good morning sir." he greeted the Bakkermayan visitors. "The gigafactory. Hmmm" he thought for a while. Most of the PR Staff wandering the site helping people were in fact students from local Universities studying business and while they'd obviously received training in hospitality in was there knowledge of business that would also help as they expected to deal with enquiries like this. "I'm sure you are aware that this is a joint Tamoran and Seleucid project, however I can not without checking tell whether any representative of the Tamoran part of the project is here. I believe though that there will be someone in the Seleucid pod that can help. If you'd like to follow me." The man gestured for Peter to walk beside him. "My name is Jameel. Are you representing a company or just an interested visitor?" he extended a hand, "How have you been finding Ipsus?" he enquired making small talk as they weaved their way through the crowds to find the Seleucid pod. Jameel pushed open the door to allow Peter to enter and walked up to the desk where a young woman was sat behind a computer screen. "Hello. Sahira" Jameel greeted her. "Is Mr. Akameniosus available. Mr.Simod here wishes to talk about the gigafactory. He represents a company called ZDS" he turned to check that he had remembered the name of the company correctly. The young girl got on the phone and a few sentences of Parthian later she hung up the phone with a smile.

"Mr.Akameniosus will be down in a moment or two. Please Mr.Simod take a seat. Can I get you some tea?" While they waited for Mr.Akameniosus to arrive Sahira made the guest a small glass cup of minted tea with plenty of sugar.

"Mr.Simod" A balding and podgy man descended the metallic staircase and approached with his hands extended towards the Bakkermayan. Truth was he had quickly googled the man not having much awareness of the type of business ZDS were involved in. He was an administrator before anything else and was responsible for the day to day management of the gigafactory from the Seleucid side of the project. "I'm Mikael, very exciting to meet you." he warmly shook Simonds hand with both of his. "I can answer any questions you have about the gigafactory I hope. I am very surprised to see you walk in here on this regard but very pleased." He took a seat and turned to Sahira and asked for a glass of orange juice before turning back to the business at hand. "I must say sir I do not understand the science of your business but seeing in the dark, implanted GPS, its all very Star Trek." He laughed, "I just hope that you can make whatever it is you need as simple as possible so I can understand. So what brings you to Blue today?"

Agent of imperial hand "karl"

"kadyrov huh? well, then it might be a good visit to check what they can offer. but i would hope to be able to visit what jalal might offer in the agricultural sector. hmm yes, i think i know which stand i will visit first."
karl then picks the spoon and starts eating his cuisine in front of him and the drink.
"ah and forgecity huh? well, it is one of ubrriekland main features as we are rich in metal and rare earth minerals, some city founded purposely to exploit and harvest it. the city is a special bit where it is now a mix of our industrial and academic centers."
then after finishing his meal and drinking the tea, he cleans himself and proceeds to stand.
"anyway, i will take your effort to escort me, and do you mind to lead me to where the jalal deer stand?"

Vahab Ashtari, leader of the sales team of Jalal Deer, giving a interview to a Tamoran TV channel

Ayson Eranee lead Karl to the Jalal Deer stand where Vahab Ashtari, leader of the sales team was giving an interview to one of the Tamoran TV channels that were covering the event. He was just finishing when Ayson Eranee discreetly approached him and exchanged a few words informing him about the guest. She then left not before greeting Karl.
Vahab immediatly approached Karl and addressed him in Latin:

“Mr. Ludenhoff, allow me to introduce myself. I am Vahab Ashtari and I am proud to say I am a humble representative of Jalal Deer. It is a pleasure to meet you, sir. I have not yet had the pleasure to talk to a businessman from Ubrriekland. Your lands are far away from MidAranye but Mundus is getting smaller by the day.
How can I help you sir? We have a fine selection of agricultural equipment raging from tractions to harvesters and anything in between, we also provide agricultural inputs and we are also specialized in building silos to store crops. You will forgive my modesty when I say that Jalal Deer is one of the most prestigious businesses in the agricultural sector of MidAranye and perhaps even the entire continent.

Also, if you don’t mind me asking, I assume you are familiar with the agricultural sector of your country, can you tell me if it would be possible for our company to buy agricultural land in your country? Jalal Deer is looking to further expand aboard. We have a notable presence in the Kingdom of Clysperis and the Republic of Zimalia and we are interested in to see if we might find opportunities elsewhere” Vahab finished saying his piece and thus allowing his guest to reply.

Peter sat and waited patiently, the tea a nice refreshment on a day much warmer than he would be experiencing back home. "A pleasure to meet you Mikael, please call me Peter. Now I'm here for the gigafactory because I hope you can help me with several projects. You see my company ZDS makes small rather unique if I may say electronic devices." He rolled his sleeve up to reveal the fleshy part of his forearm. He took his mobile phone out of his pocket and tapped a few times and a fient red arrow showed through his skin from a small flat device you could just about see through his skin. "Under my arm I have an implant that speaks with my mobile phone's GPS. I've just set it to guide me back to my hotel." Peter stood and kept his arm outstrethced so his host could see it and asked him to follow. They walked outside and the arrow moved still indicating a way to go. "Sadly I've yet to update my map for the Blue Project being in existance, it thinks we're probably in the sea now." His demonstration done he went back inside. "What I'm looking for is someone who can provide me with a host of extremely small batteries that can be recharged using conduction if need be. They need a long lifespan but I'd like to view the idea of recharging them if possible. Perhaps you could tell me whether this is something you can handle or are you just set up for larger cells such as those found in cars?"

OOC- I might be late, but Dave offered me a pod I can't refuse

The Altrominen Pod
The six floors of the Altrominene pod had been eagerly snatched up by many Altrominen Buisnesses, intent on advertising themselves.
Four whole floors were taken up be the buisness sections, each advertising their wares. The bottom two floors were more reserved, the bottom one being entirely built into a temple of Aten, with pamphlet and boards presenting it. The second floor had been turned into a massive food court, where people could buy anything from fried locust in honey to date pie.

Adom Gretyi, a tourist from the small Altrominen town Cauro, wondered round the Convention. He had already been to visit his own nation's pod, saying a quick prayer to Aten as he knelt in front of one of the pillars. Now he was going to explore.
He entered the Waddanite pod, looking around in impressed awe at the scene it had been made to represent. He sniffed in deeply, smelling the sweet smell of cooked dates in the air. He smiled, and walked over to the nearest food stall, purchasing some roasted lamb and biting deep into a still warm cooked date. He munched happily, admiring the murals.
He skipped the second floor, shopping being of little intrest to him. He listened to the folk stories of Waddan, admiring the fact that these ledgends had survived for so long through mouth.
He went to the fourth floor, half-listening to the advertisments of the Waddanites while fully admiring the scenic photos dotted around, basking in the compfortable glow of a full stomach. He left the Waddanite pod, making a mental note to go on holiday there some day.
