Peter as one would expect of a historian had done his homework, he didn't have much in the way of specific proposals or petitions for the new Queen he rose and approached the new Queen
"My congratulations Your Majesty." Peter said he handed the new Queen a piece of paper, it was a formal invitation for the new Queen to visit Achkaerin should she wish to do so, Peter was aware that the relationship that had developed with Viktoriya on the throne had been beneficial as it had given Achkaerin a friend and the Emperor was keen to continue that relationship now.

Peter stepped away and now the future King of Vafleon Manius stepped up handing his own invitation over, only this wasn't for a visit in the expected sense this was a personal invitation to his own coronation when all was arranged for it that was.
"I hope you will consider it Your Majesty." Manius said

Peter had now joined Renee over on one side of the room drink in hand.
"Impressions?" Peter asked in a quiet voice
"There's something about her." Renee said "Not sure what, but I think it's a positive thing."
"I'll tell you one thing though." Peter said "Serenity was right, a Lodjan coronation really is something to behold."

Upon arrival at the palace O'Connell joined the many waiting to congratulate and petition the newly crowned queen of Lodjain. He waited patiently with both a housewarming gift if you will and an envelope containing a simple request he hoped would be received well. The gift, a bottle of the republics finest. Federal Reserve Whiskey, the label embossed with gold and a small emerald attached to the cork. A glass of the drink could go for as much as 1750 IRP back home and a bottle filled plenty of glasses. The envelope however contained a much less extravagant message. Written on a single piece of paper the words, "Above all else, listen to the people.", no matter what direction Tatiana would take the country Jack hoped she would give the people heavy counsel in her choices.

"For you, your Majesty," Jack said extending the bottle with envelope attached, "I'm sure there will be plenty a stressful night you could use that."

Speaking of stressful nights, he thought to himself, I need to find a drink myself.

Prince Lennox of Ui Cenneslaig had stayed pretty quiet until now, he was a familiar face in the Lodjain court having taken up residency there on behalf of his brother's "Albion Diplomatic Mission" a year earlier, he was there to represent his beloved Ui Cenneslaig obviously but his romance with Jasmina was a lovely added bonus, sadly the prescence of his sour faced wife Mary wasn't. Lennox had done his best today to keep Jasmina and Mary apart, ever since his wife had slapped the young Lady in Waiting he had feared further show downs, it wasn't that he worried about his wife finding out, it was the issue of dealing with her nagging. The ceremony over Mary had no wish to stay and play the loving wife and made her excuses to leave, Lennox making little attempt to stop her. It was now his turn to approach the Queen, "Your Majesty, my brother sends his apology for not coming in person, I hope however this will go some way to make up for it." he removed from his sporran a fine silver brooch with a sprig of heather attachted. The silver was fashioned into the star and ship the new Queen had selected has her coat of arms. His royal duty finished he made his way back into the gathering crowds of people socialising while the Queen dealt with others seeking a moment of her time. He had witnessed the FIR President hand over the whiskey, any one valuing the liquid as much as the Cenneg was someone worth knowing. Lennox made his way over, his sliver hip flask in his hand. "President O'Connell" Lennox extended a hand, "Prince Lennox of Ui Cenneslaig" he extended the flask towards the man, "Can I interest you in a wee dram"

“Prince Lennox, a pleasure,” O’Connell took his hand and shook it firmly. The prince of Ui Cenneslaig had appeared as an interesting character to the President, seeming relatively reserved until now and he had heard of his affair through the grapevine. Curious, yet powerful, O’Connell looked forward to this conversation. “What are we drinking tonight?” He inquired referencing the open flask that was extended towards him.

Orion had decided to take a peek during the cleansing ceremony: Salt has been almost as expensive as gold, according to my Text Books, was the first thought that crossed the young emperors mind while observing the priestess: It kinda of makes sense to use it in an important Ritual.

Observing High Priestess Kohut struggling to cope with King Piripiri's size, Orion had to bite his Tongue else he was afraid he'd laugh out loud in the most inappropriate moment. He even almost forgot to close his eyes again when it was finally his own turn, though he still noticed how much more careful he was being treated. A small bit of him felt insulted for the Emperor he was, but it was heavily outweigh by the thankful feeling of someone seemingly remembering he still had trouble letting strangers close to him.

Adelheid had her own opinion. First thing after the ritual she did was posting a picture of Orion and Piripiri to her followers, capture line - The Giant and the Twerpling, before whispering to her cousin: "Did the little Puppy get caressed again? Seems someone else than my Brother coddles you needlessly."
She knew Albrecht's little Pet would be furious, yet there was still time until the little wannabe Emperor would actually make decisions. Until then she planned to be independent from Crown Funds anyway.

This time, she had pushed him a little to far. Orions knuckles went white from forming fists as he made his way over to Alla Kohut: "Princess Adelheid has Volunteered to give up her place for someone else, as she wishes to wait in the throne room. I am sure you know someone very glad for the opportunity"  They young Monarch pointed towards his cousin with two fingers, then shaking his head twice towards Alla adding a denying wave with his hand on top. He wanted to be very clear Adelheid was not acting accordingly to be allowed for a sacred ritual like this. To him, she had lost the right to witness it.

While Adelheid was fuming in the Throneroom, Orion was in thought witnessing the Pyre burn: "May you find peace from this life on the other side." he whispered as the pyre was lit, waiting for his turn to throw a small piece of paper into:
/I am sorry you could never meet me as Orion, and that i only met you disguised. I promise to you i will remember this lesson life has taught me. Farewell./ Orion fought with his Tears, taking a deep breath and whipping his eyes clean before following the other guests.

In the throne room, Adelheid had only minimally cooled down, a thing she made clear when stepping on Orions toes on Purpose: "Don't pull a stunt like that again Runt" she hissed, with Orion pushing her gently but determined off. The little boy proposing really made his day, it was an incredible sweet scene that really moved him, a genuine wide smile crossing his face.

As it was his Turn to approach the new Queen, he handed her an Envelope: "Queen Klara the Second." he started before slightly shuddering, having to re posture himself: "I speak for my Nation and myself, as i hand you this Invitation to visit us. You are a welcome Guest, we all see forward hosting you if you accept."

Observing the Adults with their whiskey, Orion sighed slightly as he walked down the steps. This event probably was more geared towards real Adults, he'd have to bite through and clench his teeth with all the likely drunken Grown Ups. Probably this was the divine revenge for him having some Birthday guests at his own event, likely as awkward as for them as this would be for him now.

King Lapu winced as a few grains of salt touched his wound. "It wasn't a good idea to come here with a healing wound it seems." He thought to himself as the grains were melting on the flesh. The sweets were a welcomed delight to him, but he would prefer the meat to be honest. He remained silent and monotonous but respectful all throughout the ceremony aside for witnessing Tatiana drink the ashes of the previous queen. He shuddered and cringed at the thought if it and looked around of anyone saw him. "Good thing I'll be drunk later so I can have an excuse to vomit." Rubbing on the surroundings of his wound as he looked back again to see if anyone's watching him.

As he sat down, King Lapu took a folded envelope and gave it to the queen. "My greatest congratulations to you, your majesty." He said while handing over the letter. "Your Majesty, I, King Lapu of Quintelia would like to invite you for a diplomatic and friendly visit to Quintelia. I wish good luck on your leadership and how that our relations develop." Along with letter is a small bottle of perfume, a customary gift for members of the Wewazkangzandhit tribe of Quintelia.

After handing over the letter, he went down and joined the two whiskey-drinking men. "Ah President O'Conell, you've been making an international political stir I heard." He stated as he handed over a glass for whiskey.

"King Lapu, you've heard correctly," O'Connell said with a laugh, "albeit a controversial move on our part nothing is done without a plan. Economic growth is something that hinders our rather isolated nation and now that we've entered the Mundus sphere of influence we intend to get it one way or another. President McPherson reached out to me and proposed the construction of ports on Irish soil using Kaitaine and Rodinian money in exchange for the fees not being enacted, so it appears as though my con will play out." Taking a sip of whiskey he continues, "After all, what fun is diplomacy if you don't stir the pot first?"

TYP and Sister Arilda both agreed that the initiation ceremony for the newcomers such as themselves was quite interesting and fun to experience, it wasn't as bad as they thought it to be and TYP was somewhat relieved that Piripi didn't execute him on the spot, although he suspected it due to the weapon of choice being a knife and not something more akin to the Iwi, like a standard War Club. In any case once they witnessed the coronation of the New Lodjain Queen they both went up to her, sent their regards from their respective countries, handed special gifts for commemoration and memoration before saying some words of encouragement and wanting to have special meetings with the leadership in the future.

Afterwards they felt a bit thirsty and luckily enough spotted the Irish president once more hanging out with fellow heads of states, having quite the drinks for ultimate satisfaction. "Indeed that was an interesting display of irish diplomacy, I and the Lord protectress bid you good luck in your endeavours...say that looks quite good what you're having...might if we try a bit?"

King David politely declined the chair on the step it was placed, after all to be higher than a monarchs seat in their own nation would be rather rude. "If you would permit I would like to stay stood" he placed a hand on the small of his back to enhance his next point, "my back plays up if I sit for too long" he feigned its stiffness well aware his medical condition was a matter of public record. "It helps if I can walk a little and I wouldn't want to distract from the event." he added as he descended the steps and mingled with the crowd. He waited for several nations to do their thing before making his way over, first retrieving a gift from his ambassador. "Your Majesty" he gave a bow to the Queen, pretence of his bad back now gone, "Thank you for the honour you have me back there, I appreciate being held in such a regard by Viktoria, and if I can be any help to you then please don't hesitate to ask." He held forward a book, leather bound in red. "My ambassador says you called gaining knowledge an adventure, I hope this is one adventure you find useful." The book was the various letters of Paul the Explorer, a gift he'd been given by a friend from University when he became King, the letters outlined to the wandering King's regent advise for how to run a Kingdom, "It's one of my favourites" he returned to the crowd and took up a position next to Sir William, his ambassador to watch the rest of the audience, his eyes however turned more to Stasya who was stood behind the Queen.

OOC- A joint Ironside post

Tatiana, or rather Queen Klara sat rather more seriously than she had when the young boy had approached, it was business time now and she couldn't play these world leaders off the way she did the boy. First up was President O'Connell, she naturally thanked him for his paper and advice but knew the symbolism of the day was already lost, no Queen of Lodja before her had ever sat at the same level of the Plebs in the throne room, she could already sense the Patricians gathered around her whispering about it. Next up was this Pope chap, she thanked him for his gifts and said she looked forward to a meeting at some future date, she wasn't sure if she genuinely was, from her knowledge of Christianity it wasn't really an exciting religion and she wondered what kind of man would choose to follow it's lifeless rules. The people kept coming and she found a rhythm, thank them, say something nice, next. It was a simple and rapid process. She obviously accepted King of Vafleon Manius' invitation, it would have been rude not too, but should the nation be of little interest to her plans she could always find an excuse at a later date. She accepted the inviations of Orion and King Lapu too with smiles and words talking of her excitement of visiting their nations. She had expected the same when the Morelander king approached, she noticed him emerge from the crowd and not from the seats as the others had. She immediately saw why Viktoriya had taken a liking to him, he was handsome and he brought no petition nor invite, just a simple book, something she could have found anywhere herself. She thanked him and flicked a few pages intrigued at the books age which seemed to indicate it was old, she turned back to the front page and smiled.

"May Your Adventure Bring You Home" was written in a delicate hand on the inside front page, clearly a reference to the author of the books fate, "Love from Mum" were the next words, the King giving her something personal to himself rather than something shiny. She would make a point of speaking to the Morelander later, he seemed interesting. The final petition came from a member of the kitchen staff, a young girl asking if for a favour, her brother was in the military and was the fifth generation of the family to serve should he serve five years then he would qualify his whole family to join the ranks of the Patricians, he was however seriously ill and likely to be dismissed from service just three months shy of the five years. "Your brother will join my household guard, on a....six months trial starting immediately." the Queen announced. The young girl began to cry realising what the Queen had just done for her family and moved towards the Queen to embrace her but a security agent stopped her, the Queen though rose and hugged the girl, "Lodja thanks your family for its devotion" the Queen kissed the girl on the cheek before releasing her hug.

"That concludes the Petitions" Besarian announced as Klara returned to her seat. "We may now enjoy the Queen's Breakfast." a screen that had been placed along the side of the room was wheeled away and a vast array of different foods and drinks were arranged, white jacketed servents entered the room with further trays and bottles as they mingled between the guests. The Queen stood and accompanied by her four ladies in waiting headed towards the food she pondered what to pick up, surely someone somewhere would judge her but she had little care now because she had spotted a chocolate cake. She picked up a knife and cut a large chunk away and placed it on a plate licking her fingers after doing so.

"Your Majesty" Lady Anna Immich whispered behind her, "You shouldn't be doing that, you should let me" she was too aware of the group who had followed them over, and waited for the Queen to take her first bite before eating themselves. The Queen turned, had blushed slightly but then shrugged her shoulders.

"I like chocolate, I like cake, I like chocolate cake.....they'll get over it" she picked up the wedge of cake and unceremoniously took a huge bite from it smears of the chocolate still around her lips, Lady Anna retreived a cloth and quickly set about trying to tidy the Queen up but the young monarch just laughed. "Anna, I am an 18 year old who has just assumed a throne, it didn't age me 20 years. I will still be an 18 year old so don't fuss if I smear my make up or eat cake. People will get over it" she said the final sentence rather loudly as she headed for the centre of the hall which was now filling with people mingling as the celebrations began.

Stasya had caught the eyes of King David on her as she had walked with the other Ladies in Waiting, she made a play of seeming to be embarassed at his gaze but it was merely a ploy. Now as they returned to the centre of the hall she gave a discreet little wave which brought a smile to David's face. The Queen headed towards Dragan who was talking business with some of his former colleagues, "I trust you were satisfied with my seating arrangements" the Queen asked the Finance Minister between bites of cake, it had been his idea to sit on floor level after he'd spent half an hour discussing her policies with her.

"Very wise choice Your Majesty" he said diplomatically.

"Now I'm sure the High Preistess wannabe made you some promises to get me the throne...what were they?" she asked, it was common knowledge such deals were done but no one ever spoke of them, nepotism was a way of life in Lodja and no agreement was ever reached about job appointments without a substantial amount of money or influence changing hands. The Four Ladies in Waiting looked nervously at each other, they'd suspected Tatiana would be a little rouge but this was totally off the map.

"My sister is to be appointed High Priestess to the Air Force when Alla makes appointments in the coming days." Dragan said nervously, he wasn't sure whether this would have moved him into Tatiana's bad books.

"Jasmina" Tatiana didn't take her eyes off Dragan but waited for the red headed Lady in Waiting to come forward, "Go tell Dragan's sister she is now High Priestess to the Air Force." Jasmina nodded and disappeared off to go and ensure the Queen's wishes were carried out. "Now you owe my your patronage and not Alla" Tatiana explained, "and in return a day will come when the Conclave discuss my wedding, when that day comes you will inform me of what gets said in that room and you will ensure I marry who I choose." Dragan nodded, he had to admit the Queen was very different to Viktoriya, she had taken a good month to get into the swing of her powers, Tatiana already had hit the ground running and was dismantling any favours people owed that could effect her. "What did Besarian ask for?" she demanded.

"A marriage between Anna Utkin and his brother" Dragan explained, it would bring more land into the Ivanov family and effectively ensure Anna would soon leave the Conclave once she had a child. "I'm not sure she'll be thrilled by that." he chuckled

"Very well, Besarian's brother is to marry Princess Alana." there was no hesitation, she had just thrown the former Queen's younger sister to a new marriage, "Besarian gets his power marriage but I don't lose my star councillor.....second star" she flashed Dragan a smile. "I believe now I undergo trial by broken foot" Dragan looked puzzled at his Queen's comments and even more so when she kicked off her shoes from under her dress, the long blue dress was purposely long enough to sweep the floor to give a Queen the appearence of floating as she moved, but now Tatiana was barefoot. She had manouvered to the edge of a wooden dance floor which had one or two people dancing to the orchestra but now without a partner Tatiana disappeared from her entourage with a twist and spinning leap as she solo'd onto the dance floor in her own little world determined to have a minute or two to herself on this special day. The Ladies in Waiting puzzled simply watched with Roksana left holding the shoes. As Tatiana stepped past, her eyes still closed she told them they were dismissed as she guided herself gracefully to the centre of the floor aware eyes were following her but not caring. It was now that one enterprising young Lodjian noble saw an oppurtunity. Darya Natalka was the youngest daughter of the Baron of Natalka, and her father was rather a let down, he had spent the summer of her 17th year busy with work rather than arranging his daughter's introduction to high society, well Darya had decieded that if he wasn't going to do it then she would herself. She set herself off towards Emperor Orion and gave a deep curtsey as she reached him. "I'm so honoured, a real Emperor" she smiled, "I would be deeply deeply honoured if you'd come and dance with me Your Imperial Majesty" she held out a white lace gloved hand and smiled hoping he'd accept, after all no better way to get noble boys attention that being spotted with a royal.

Stasya was, as always, approached by several noble man asking her to dance, or to join them for a drink but she made a line for the pillar by which King David had been standing, she found him easy enough and bowed gracefully. "Your Majesty" she said loudly, "The Queen asks that I ensure our most valued friend is comfortable, she was most concerned for the health of your back, and suggested a stroll in the gardens may ease it?" it was a lie but of course David wouldn't say no, how could he say no to her. The King waited a second or two.

"If your Queen wouldn't mind, stretching my legs would be a pleasant relief" he made a point to place a hand in the small of his back, "I thank you for the escape and the company" the two linked arms and walked calmly towards the doors that lead to the exit and the interior walkways of the palace, they skirted the quads garden and Stasya lead them down a narrow corridor to a point where two guards stood watch over one of the private gardens of the Queen. Stasya explained the Queen wished her to show the King something and they passed with no issue, no sooner had they turned the corner than David wrapped her in his arms, their lips locking.

"Your beautiful" David said as he kissed her neck, his hands pulling her towards him. "I missed you" he said as he began staring into her eyes. Stasya felt his hand sliding her dresses flowing skirt up her leg but placed a hand to stop him.

"We don't have time for that" she grinned, "and not here. Tonight though, I'll come to your room once my duties are done." they kissed again before spendning a few moments alone in the garden. By the time they'd returned the Queen was mingling through the room and hadn't noticed the abscence of Stasya, in fact she'd already lost Jasmina sending her off to dance with Lennox whose wife had departed earlier, meanwhile she'd issued Lady Anna the job of keeping an annoying minor noble from bugging the Queen by taking him onto the dancefloor. Only Roksana remained with the Queen as she chatted with various people keen to have their moment with the Queen.

David and Stasya made a play of him thanking her for his walk as they returned and David made his way over towards Sir William his ambassador. "Your Majesty will you take some advice" William said a smirk on his face.

"Of course, you're my ambassador, so I value your opinion." the King said his eyes still fixed on Stasya.

"Go to the toilet, wash your face" William chuckled a little, "cos that shade of lipstick doesn't go with your eyes." he took out his phone and showed the King his own face in the front camera, the King had a tiny smear of lipstick on his right cheek. "I'll say nothing sir." William kept a straight a face as possible, he'd of course heard the court rumours of the King and Stasya but things like that were common in Lodja, "She's a beautiful women sir" he added as the King managed to scratch his beard all the way between the pillar and the bathroom.

Orion had started doodling away, taking note from Jocelin he thought at least using the occasions given he should hone his skills whenever time allowed it. Queen Klara stuffing her Face with cake sure was a moment memorable enough to keep in oil. The shocked Ladies in waiting, the chocolate around her Lips, and a stern expression, as if she was to tell the viewer - *so what?* - if he could pull it off properly, it might just work out a great picture. And make for a really good memory.

Just as the Queen gave ample reason for a new doodle, her shoes thrown off dancing barefoot, Orion found himself approached by a Lodian Noble. A part of him groaned internally, the girls his age had started swarming him at school at every occasion already, now the same happening here it seemed. A polite smile, he handed one of the servants his doodlebook: "Look after that for me, would you?" before taking up the girls hand and walking her to the dance floor, just like his etiquette teacher had taught him: "You have the advantage over me here, knowing who i am. Mind i ask yours?" Orion said, trying to follow the tact as good as he could. he had some dance practice leading up to the coronation, but he was by no means an expert dancer. at least a waltz was in his capability. "And have you been here for the dance when Viktorya passed? if i might say you might just be the age for a Debutante." Orion carefully balanced the gilded wreath on his head, well. Dancing was better than watching adults get wasted anyway.

-----------------------------------------------

Adeleheid had spotted Rudolph, accompanied by the young black haired Cedrik Morgan: "Some got himself a Puppy." she mused as she made her way towards the gardens. she had noticed Stasya vanish in that general direction, exactly the person she needed to speak to. Spotting David whipping Lipstick off, she chuckled as she passed the King: "So, having some fun before lady /i have nothing better to do than to diminish my god to gender questions/ pressures his majesty into a new marriage?" she chuckled, before looking around: "You didn't happen to see lady stasya around? i wanted to ask her for an appointment so we could finally get a little shopping tour done."

King Lapu was taken aback when he heard the name McPherson and the two nations he hated. "Ah yes, the communists who would seem to help you but I  The end, would only benefit them. History repeats itself." He sipped the whiskey from a glass and continued. "That is, if you make the wrong decision. With the right decision however, you'd be a successful leader. To do the right choice however, that is yours to decide." With a few drops dripping down his chin, he asked for more and continued. "Anyways, if ever you choose the wrong path, you might expect to see me at the other side of the war; that is, if a war needs be." Looking straight at the eyes of the President, he giggled, trying to keep the conversation as light as possible. "And hey, Pope, nice to see you again. Good thing you weren't beheaded by that Iwi King. Anyways, if you were to choose someone here other than the queen to dance with, who would it be?" He asked the other leaders near him as he almost tripped in position.

"Hello again, it's been a minute," said Jack gesturing towards the Pope and Lord Protectress before turning back to King Lapu, "there's no need for hostilities friend, nothing is a done deal. There's always an open seat at my poker table and it sounds like you're a high roller in this case. I've no loyalties to anyone as of this moment so I've no reason to deny your patronage, if you wish we can discuss this at a later time." O'Connell leaned back and finished the rest of his drink, bringing the glass back down hard on the table. "But right now is a time for celebration!"

"Yo my friend, as much as I like you very much, may I suggest toning it down a lil'? Hehe you're somewhat frightening everyone here with your Macho-talk. Our Irish friend might think that you'd wish war...just so you know, ES wouldn't give any aid if you were to be the aggressor". TYP whispered in Lapu's ear while taking the opportunity to give him a thorough handshake. Arilda and TYP toasted after receiving their drinks in bright, shining glasses before swallowing every ounce and slamming them on the table. Then he proceeded to answer the Quintelian monarch's question, "I would certainly think of dancing with any of these fine ladies tonight...possibly even consider dating them if I weren't a part of the Catholic clergy...that is if they can stand my religion hahaha...."

"What do you mean I'm frightening them? I'm just saying that the communists are bad people." King Lapu explained to the pope while downing another shot of whiskey. "And hey, O'Connell, I'm not enticing war, of course, no-one wants that. But since you're going to meet McPerson anyways, I suggest making a cunning move to have things on your favour. Good luck." He told the Irish leader and then looked back to the pope. "Come on dude, I know that you're the leader of our religion. Only us two--" He cleared his throat as he has just noticed that the pope was with an older lady. "--Us three Catholics here. And as far as I remember, the clergy ate allowed to dance but not date." He said as he sipped from his shot glass. "Here, hold his glass for me, I'll show you how." Almost stumbling, he left the table and approached a blonde in her late twenties. "So, would you like to dance with a king?" He asked as if it was natural for him to do this on all occasions.

O’Connell sat down and shook his head, looking down at his now empty glass. “If this keeps up I’m going to need something a lot stronger...” he muttered to himself. “Thank you pope, I’m still a little bit lost at all this. Feels like I’m back in high school,” he laughed and shook his head again, “you talk to the wrong people and everyone starts treating you like an animal of sorts.”

"Nah it's fine; Lapu's a really nice fella, may seem brutish in a certain lookout, but once you get to know him, he can be a true and loyal friend til' the end. Speaking about 'wrong people' I'm in a worse position than you my Irish friend, haven't really got the diplomatic flow in me yet so I should probably let the real experts do that job so I can focus more on theoligocal matters, which seems to be my stronger side, naturally hehe" TYP replied also realising that hos glass was quite empty too.

"You in for a drink or wanna see if one of these fine Lodjain ladies wanna have a dance round with you?"

“A dance with any of these ladies I’m afraid wouldn’t end with just a dance, and I took an oath that said no relationships while I serve and I intend to keep to that.” Although as he glanced out at the sea of people he silently cursed himself as one woman after the other stunned him. Turning back to the pope he stood up and picked up his glass. “However, I’m never one to turn down a drink. I’ll follow you, my friend.”

Peter and Renee had been enjoying the occasion with the formal parts of it done, they'd taken to socialising with some of the court, teased Emalet a little over her appointment as the head coach of the Achkaerin women's Bandy team, which the ambassador was a good sport about. But then as he chatted to Emalet Peter's mood changed because Zoe came over with an electronic tablet in her hand.

"Apologies Your Majesty but this is urgent." Zoe said
"What is it?" Peter asked
"It's an R&A." Zoe said, Peter took the tablet and then the stylus that Zoe handed him
"This is for real right?" Peter asked as he read it
"Yes sir." Zoe said, Peter nodded and signed it electronically well aware of what he'd just done, he handed the tablet back to Zoe

"So shall we do the rounds again?" Peter asked looking at Renee
"I guess." Renee said

Darya had placed her arms gently around Orion as they began to dance, "My names Darya Natalka, daughter of Baron Vitali Natalka. Sadly yes I was here when they announced the Queen had died, it was rather a shock." she could remember the evening well, rather self centredly because her useless father had once more let her down by not arranging things for her the way he should have, tonight however it was much easier to entertain herself as all the focus was on others. "and yes I was a debutant, not quiet the introduction to high society I was expecting." she added as they twirled around the dancefloor. "So back home do they have someone lined up for you to marry, I'm not going to be in trouble dancing with someone's future husband am I?" she chuckled spotting how Orion seemed to feel rather awkward, "I imagine four or five years you'll have all the ladies chasing you anyway. You are allowed to hold me closer." she added as she moved herself so their bodies were touching.

As King Lapu approached Roksana she turned to her Queen, it wouldn't be proper to leave her alone without asking, after all a Lady in Waiting was expected to do any duty a Queen needed doing at a drop of a hat, and with Anna already dancing, Stasya off ensuring King David was looked after and Jasmina twirling around the dancefloor with Prince Lennox that left just Roksana. "Of course" the Queen took hold of Roksana's hand and moved it towards the King, "I'm sure Roksana will be the perfect partner" the Queen added as she watched the pair disappear.

"I'm honoured Your Majesty" Roksana said rather diplomatically as they took to the dancefloor. She didn't really know much about the King other than he was the monarch of Quintelia."Did your wife not attend with you?" she asked knowing full well the answer but intrigued to find out what gossip she could.

Meanwhile Stasya had been using her phone to check her hair was back in place after her little moment with King David, she took a new lipstick from her bag and applied it, this one a little better quality than the last, she'd done her bit to make sure the rumours continued. A rumour was enough to make her interesting, to have people gossiping about her and that meant more people knowing she potentially had the ear of a King, among other parts of his body. Influence like that in Lodja made you, and your family important, the lipstick on David's face had been a little like marking her territory as she knew there were other ladies in the court keen to have had a chance to bed him. As she made her way back towards the ball room she saw Adelheid. "Hello Your Highness" the Lady in Waiting greeted her, "lovely to see you" she added as she gave a curtsey. "I was just taking some fresh air. How you finding the evening? No men asking to dance with you?"

Klara had spotted the Pope and the FIR President chatting and whipping a bottle of champagne off a man carrying a tray she motioned for him to follow her, as she reached the Pope and President O'Connell she poured them each a glass. "So gentleman I must say I'm pretty insulted" she began with a stern expression. "You're guests in my nation, we have many pretty girls here desperate for a dance partner and you two stand around gossiping" she began laughing. "Don't tell me you Celts don't like to dance" she turned to O'Connel, "Prince Lennox there, a drop of whiskey and we struggle to get him off the dancefloor."

TYP was pleased that the very Lodjain monarch herself arrived at their table, bringing some delightful champagne to liven up the moods, not that it wasn't entirely wrong with the Irish President and the Pope conversing by themselves but considering she was right about not taking advantage of the beautiful opportunities that were in full abundance in tonight's gathering...well that was about to change he thought.

"Ah Klara thank you for scolding us gentlemen for not upholding the virtues of acting as proper dance partners, I'm sure as the Pope it wouldn't bring any problem whatsoever to move my feet a lil' with one of you gorgeous ladies...I assume that you're included in one of the many 'desperate' ladies...or should I say Goddesses in search for a dance partner? Well as a noble Christian man, I couldn't naturally possibly lie without telling you that you're definitely the most beautiful of all of them, in respect for not trying to sound judgemental at all". He stretched out an open hand, "Care for one of the best dances you'll receive tonight from the very Pope of the Celestian Catholic Church? Oh, I wouldn't let this attire fool you at all, I won't act fanatical at all and preach some dry verse from the book hehe, as a matter of fact my adoptive father, old friend and mentor Bishop Martin Deed taught me a thing or two about the art of dance so I should be fine, hopefully...A good opportunity to catch up on things lately between our nations as well". TYP eagerly waited for the reply as to whether she would accept his proposal or not...

Seeing Stasya put on more Lipstick, Adelheid put on a warm Smile: "We still need to go on a shopping tour, Lady Stasya. Though with the new Queen i bet you are quite busy." Looking around the mostly empty area, Adelheid tilted her head: "Oh there where several interested, but no one i really fancied. Maybe you could aide me and pick someone to get some good rumors started? You are the expert here for Lodja, and i would love to have people chatter about my Choice a little."
'And you would probably love to have people chatter about your Lipstick as well' Adelheid thought to herself, before replying: "Besides i am sick of Babysitting that Imperial Pain in the back, he has some young Lady that fetched him up for a Dance so i got some fresh Air."

Orion felt a cold sweat as Darya pushed him closer, his hands quivering as he tried to hold tact. He had to distract himself before he panicked. 'She doesn't want to kidnap you. She doesn't want to Kidnap you...' he told himself over and over as he danced for a little more with her, his voice wavering: "My Marriage wont be decided until i am at least Sixteen, though likely a little later. Not that i'll have much of a say. The Senates will vote on whom my Spouse will be, deciding on which possible bride is reflecting our values and standards the most. They basically hold a Sort of woman's championship for best bride. Albrecht tries to get them to agree allowing foreigners to participate, but it's still years off. So no, minus all the Girls that decided not to dance with me as Olaf during the little Feast and are now fuming over their own mistake no one really considers to be my Bride."
Tilting his head he spotted the Ambassador and Cedric Morgan, turning back to Darya: "Is that one of your Deputants from the Ball? Didn't think Doctor Niameck would be so quick to pick up a Passtime activity. He was always a more reserved and introverted Person when he visited with his Grandfather."

“Fine, fine,” laughed the President, “Perhaps you’re right, although I must say I’m a little out of practice. Perhaps I could finish this lovely champagne first so I have something to blame my two left feet on.” O’Connell in a quick motion poured the three each a glass, and after pushing them towards both the Pope and Queen raised his arm towards them, glass in hand. “A toast, to our nations luck and prosperity, and especially to Klara, as I doubt she’ll ever forget this night as long as she lives.”

He waltzed along gently, even when a little tipsy from all the whiskey he's drank previously. Although the stench of the liquor began to be sensed, the perfume wore by Wewazkangz tribe members made from a concoction of plant oil, specifically those from Magnolia champaca, still overpowered the alcoholic whiff. The question surprised King Lapu, but answered in a polite manner. "Ah, she passed away almost six months ago. I promised to myself to not have any relationships for a few months. But hey, as an old saying goes, promises are made to be broken. And, I haven't asked for your name yet." King Lapu said nonchalantly, and in a desperate attempt to flirt, he continued. "Anyways, want to sit down with me to have a small talk? It would be something you'll never forget."

Anything to forget about the mess back home, thought Dmitri Zubiri. He was the Senate President of Pardclinnia, one of the most experienced and respected politicians in the country's history. Despite his apparent blandness and stoicism, he talked when he needed to in order to blend in his surroundings and he did it well. He always made it a point to "research" on people he would meet. And when he met said people, he would start the conversation first - always not missing a glass of liquor in his hand. This skill would be most certainly useful in his trip to Lodja.

He wasn't particularly fond of coronations for he had no patience for these things. It was a bore for him; might as well catch up on the iStreamable hit series I Am the Law! However, the thought of Queen Viktoria's cremation bothered his mind more than he initially thought of. It made him think of confronting his own mortality. He never knew her personally but has heard that she was a fine woman. He has lived long, as he would say. His wife has been dead for seven years now. 20 years they had been together.

As he arrived at the causeway wearing a fine black tuxedo, he took a deep breathe. It's gonna be a long day

In one graceful motion the servants to the Empress’ sides removed the sheer veil from their sovereign, stepping back and falling to their hands and knees, as did all the other Arda Tuluvans; save for the Ingaran who went to his knees. Like so many things in Arda Tuluva, they moved in perfect cohesion, as one in unity. Queen Klara had shown great reverence and respect to the Arda Tuluvan Throne by wearing the Jade Dragon in her coronation ceremony – and above that the small gesture of touching the pendant moved mountains in the mind of the Empress. A small detail, a minute gesture that many might have simply over looked, taken no notice; but the Empress saw. She sees all. Klara had gained  hén’póna before the Daughter of Heaven and in turn the Autárimë Empress would speak to Sessifet’s Chosen in the full radiance of her splendor, of her most high station as Empress of Arda Tuluva, as the Daughter of Heaven.

“Honor and glory unto the anointed Queen of Lodja, the Guardian of Sessifet.” The Empress intoned, “The blessings of Heaven and Earth. May your reign be showered in fortune and tranquility.” The Arda Tuluvan monarch kissed her palms and made a sweeping gesture with her arms, an Arda Tuluvan blessing and praise. Her principal servant, Ehtelë, then approached the Queen holding an ornate sandalwood case gilded in gold with a yellow scroll inside, an Imperial Edict. “Soon the Year of the Dog comes to an end and the Year of the Golden Pig commences, a most fortuitous changing of the years. We invite Our most esteemed Queen to attend the New Year’s Festivities at the Arcalcassë as Our most honored guest.”

The Empress sat observing the festivities, her myriad of servants standing patiently behind her waiting to serve or be called upon. Many among the host of the Empress’ ilar’naldar looked upon the Queen’s Ladies-in-Waiting with a tinge of envy seeing them laughing and dancing with – what seemed to them - wild abandon.

The Ingaran had been meandering about, with consent from his sovereign. He had stopped at the Buffet sampling much of what was offered, he had decided that he found Lodjan cuisine most palatable. He had met Pope Peter II once while he visited the Empire and was going to speak with him but he was occupied in conversation with an elected president. Eruenvinyanto had been advised to keep his conversations with those heads-of-state who governed republics to a bare minimum. He wasn't entirely sure why, it had something to do with rituals and tradition. He noticed the Morelander king re-enter the Ballroom, another man he had met once.

“Your Majesty,” He said, a bit louder than what Arda Tuluvan Imperial etiquette would deem appropriate, towards King David who made his way over to the Ingaran. “Honor and glory, Majesty, the Blessings of Heaven and Earth." He said with a bow of the head. "It has been an age since last we spoke, there is an aura of great joy radiating from His Majesty. One that was not there the last His Majesty graced the sacred halls of the Arcalcassë. I trust, then, all is well."

It was then two of his ilar'naldar appeared, one holding a tray with two glasses of whiskey. "I recall His Majesty has a predilection towards whiskey." He didn't, but his ilar'nalda did and had signed to him what the drink was and that David enjoyed it. "Would His Majesty care to have a drink with me in honor of Lodja's new Queen?"

“A brilliant move, Minister.” Princess Nessanië said to Dragan Knežević, catching him alone. “You have secured the new Queen’s affection before the Daughter of Heaven. If the Conclave had any fears on how relations between Lodja and Arda Tuluva might be affected during this period of transition; then rest assured, dear minister, you have cunningly silenced any doubt from the Phoenix Throne.” She gave a small smile as she raised her champagne flute to him in toast. She handed her glass to Ayane freeing her hands before offering it to Dragan, “Would the fine minister care to dance?”

Ehtelë and Ayane – the principal servants to the Empress and Princess Nessanië respectively - were talking about the latest Court gossip. Well, not talking, per se, they were signing to each other in the Arda Tuluvan style. The Empress is with child. Two months.

After all these years the Ingaran is finally fulfilling his sacred obligations. Ayane signed back.

With the slightest shake of the head Ehtelë continued, The Noble Consort is the father. If the Empress has a daughter he will be elevated to ‘King in Arda Tuluva’. And here? How is the Lodjan Court?

About the same as the Celestial Court... Ayane signed.

Everyone is sleeping together. Ehtelë quickly gestured, she nodded as the two shared a small chuckle hoping no one saw them. It would be considered most improper for the two to be laughing in public.

It appears that every foreign noble is bedding one of the Queen’s Ladies. Ayane continued, Stasya with David. The Íverin[1] Prince with whom he is dancing.

Every? You named two. Ehtelë signed.

Ignoring his comment, she continued. Besarian with Jasmina. The Uburzi with a young gentleman named Cedrik. Apparently, it would be quite the scandal in New Uburzis.

And your mistress?

She has her gaze fixed on Dragan.

Kissed by fire. Fortuitous. Ehtelë responded, And intelligent, a true erudite.

“The pendant.” Ayane said.

“The pendant.” Ehtelë agreed. For barbarians the Lodjans are extremely astute.

Cedric had enjoyed Dr. Niamecks patronage so far, he was an intelligent and well cultured Man. Yet what he didn't like was how the Servants of the Palace and now the little Emperor had started looking. "Rudolph, i think they believe you take me to Bed." Cedric bluntly said, as Rudolph almost spit out the Champagne: "How do you come to that Conclusion?" Rudolph said, coughing slightly from the Champagne in his Airways: "They literally called me your little Puppy."

"Damn that Princess." Rudolph said, shaking his head: "I mean you are an intelligent young handsome Man..."

Cedrik rolled his Eyes, shaking his head, grabbing Rudolph by his Tie, dragging the Ambassador in to a lengthy Kiss, before grinning: "Now, maybe not make it a Rumor anymore later?"

Cedrik was only a low level Noble, his Parents barely worth the Mention. Only getting himself into a little science Project had given him a little bit of Spotlight, and he wouldn't let that chance he now had slip. It probably wasn't forever, but being noticed with one of the Foreign Ambassadors and being a regular visitor to the Isle would ensure he got some more attention from now.

Also he did like Rudolph's Blonde Curls.

The evening was drawing on, the moon now sat like a silver ball in the sky reflecting off the dark black night sea. Stasya rather enjoyed evenings like that out on the balcony, it reminded her slightly of her home back on the island of Alucard Major the sea and the stars. She had brought Adelheid out there was a bottle of wine she had removed from the buffet table, she offered the Princess a seat and poured a glass, it was nice to have someone to talk to who was neither a member of court or too concerned about the rumours. "Let us just say I always choose my lipstick wisely, sometimes to please myself, sometimes to please a lover, and sometimes to fuel rumours, I do find them rather fun." It was exactly that here in the Palace a rumour, not that Stasya had shared David's bed, after all in times gone by it was expected that the Ladies in Waiting ensure the happiness of all visiting royals, whatever it took. Some believed she merely was following Viktoria's orders to keep in David's good books while other believed there was something between them. "Who knows if I play the game right one day I may even be a royal like yourself" she raised a glass as though in toast, " So what is it like being the sister of an Emperor?"  Stasya asked as she leaned back in the large pillow strewn chair.

Inside Adelheid's younger brother was still dancing with Darya, she had expected him to be a little awkward but it was like he'd never really touched a girl before, not even in terms of dancing. She wondered how different his homeland must be to Lodja, a land where physical contact was seen as almost a divine thing. The nations seemed almost polar opposites, conservative and liberal, male dominated and female dominated, it could be interesting. She placed his hand that was on her back lower onto her hip and moved a little closer. "If you'd like a tour of the palace I could show you?" she smiled as they danced, "I know all the quiet places away from the madness here, unless of course your enjoying dancing" she suddenly worried that she may have said the wrong thing, as though taking him away from the dancefloor may be something he wouldn't like. "I'm happy to do whatever" she added.

"I am Roksana Pajari Your Majesty" the Lady in Waiting replied to King Lapu as they danced, slipping into official introduction mode she added, "Youngest daughter of Lord Silvan Pajari of Noginsk" she added showing that she came from noble descent, some 200 or so years ago the family had even produced a Queen, if only for four years before she died of illness. "I trust your enjoying your visit?" she asked wondering why out of all the women he'd asked her to dance and not the Queen herself. "Your first time here in Lodja?"

Klara looked at the Pope as he asked her to dance and wondered just how a man who wore what looked like a dress on a daily basis would dance. She personally would have prefered to dance alone, she wasn't really a fan of this ballroom nonsense, but recognised that it was a must on occasions like this. It was restrictive though, you went where your partner guided you, your movements in his hands. If you danced alone though you where free to shape your own destiny, flow and leap the way you wanted to. "I wouldn't imagine Your Holiness dances often" she said as they moved towards the dancefloor. "After all your Church music is rather somber compared to our own faiths." The faith of Sessifet loved music, but it had to be music to complement dance, one of the most favoured activities of the Goddess, she had danced her way across the face of Mundus spreading beauty and marvel with each carefully placed footstep. "I assume you wished to talk with me?" she asked as they weaved around others on the dancefloor.

Dragan was pleased that the Princess Nessanie believed his actions had been well recieved, it had after all been part of his game plan. "I'm grateful for your support" the Finance Minister said with a beaming smile, he leaned close, "But in truth my main reason was to limit Besarian's influence over the new Queen, no better way than showing her a quick way to make a good first impression. Makes it look like I actually know what I'm talking about in foreign affairs. Now, if I'd been asked to do something to win say.....the Ecclesiastical States favour, well I'd be clueless, I do find those Christian types rather sullen, and all that praying.....must wreak havoc on the knees" he added, "Unlike dancing, something I would love to take Your Highness up on" he bowed offering his hand and waiting for her to place her own hand on his. He walked her to the centre of the dancefloor and took up what he considered to be a respectable hold of her, he glanced around, many of the Lodjain couples dancing where much closer, but this was a foreign Princess from a land whose complex customs made Lodjain's own look like something an infant could master overnight. " Now, if I may ask a rather personal question, after all I think we've got to know each other rather well, but please tell me to be quiet if I offend. You're rather old by your home's standards to be unmarried, or is it the hardships of your duty?"

"Well I hope I won't disappoint you much your majesty, and indeed you're right that I'm not the most actice dancer among those gathered here tonight, but I would like to say that Ecclesiastical music is much, much more than the stereotpypical pieces that are sung in choir and played on organs...Ever heard of the classical music that radiates from our musical legacy? Fastforward a few hundred years and we have world class artists such as Michael Jackson and Madonna, the King and Queen of Pop respectively...in due respect, if only we could hear some of their tunes right now...Oh well...All that I'm trying to say that we Ecclesiasticals are trying to break away from stereotypes such as these and we're always happy to share the true ES."

His holiness, remembering what he learned in his younger days, led the newly coronated Queen and Goddess out on the dance floor and gently led the way so to say. "I take it that her majesty prefers to dance alone...I can understand and respect that notion, in a way being independent expresses one's creativity and free spirit much better. In any case, it's the correct assumption that I wish to talk to you, after all both of our nations are among the oldest in Albion and the entirety of Mundus, as well as cooperation has existed throughout time between Lodja and the Ecclesiastical State, however like how I stated before we Ecclesiasticals wouldn't mind extending this relationship much further...Now that faith has chosen you of everyone else to lead this nation, how would you like for this proceed?"

"Cousin of an Emperor, then again, will Orion ever be the true Emperor the way he worships my Brother Albrecht?" a small smile went over her Lips, leaning back: "I am pretty sure if you play your cards right, you will find yourself at the side of an formidable Royal. If not, you might look out for my Brother as well." She sipped from her Glass of wine before answering: "Myself and him aren't bound to the law requiring Royal Lineage to wed someone chosen by the senate since there are more than five people ahead of us with the inheritance. Though admittedly he wants to avoid marrying himself as long as Orion is in regency."
Picking up her Phone she flicked through some Social Media alerts: "In the end my Status won't matter much to my children one day, so i will have to try and make a buck or two. People might think me childish stirring up rumors, but rumors pay well, and i need to be independent from my Family on the long run. Talking about that, seems that young man Mister Morgan picked up the Pace, seems gossiping with the staff payed off. Here, a picture of him with our Ambassador." Adelheid held her Phone towards Stasya, showing her a sneaky camera shot of the Scene inside.

Orion shook his head as he promptly stopped: "No Tour, i am afraid.  If you know a Quiet place with enough guards visible it would be appreciated, though. I hope you don't mind, but i do not wish to stay unprotected in a Labyrinth like this Isle." He quivered clearly, seemingly a lot of thoughts running through his head, slowly shaking it: "And i think i need to sit down anyway now."
