"I myself is against slavery, being a descendant of former slaves." King Lapu began, sipping the oghi again. "That's why I wanted to free this thousands of slaves. Freeing the children along with them is just a bonus. For your information, they will be given a monthly stipend, if you could call it that, a home anywhere in Lungsod City, Nueva Lungsod, or in Bulataan, and a job from any legally registered company as either minimum wage workers or specialized skilled workers. Their homes will be loaned to them and after five years, they should start paying back. This way, it would be fair to them and to the citizens of Quintelia." He explained, taking a spoonful of the harissa before continuing.

"We opened up to the ES first as they are our oldest qly and we needed to renew our treaty with them after a short change of leadership in 2010. We also opemed up to Miteravia seeing as they and the Ecclesiasticals get along easily. As for UC, they were the closest Ardian power that is not Rokkenjima, so I went there." King Lapu took a few bite from the ghapama and resumed to his talking. "We also opened up a bit with Royal Seleucid and East Moreland, though our negotiations were short."

"We don't really want to impose a tariff on any nation yet, and I imagine that any tariffs put on us would be negligible to our sustainable economy." He cleared his throat of phlegm in a discreet way. "As for Dizon Farms, they're lucky that Orelle Dizon, may he rest in peace, the founding farmer of Dizon Farms, was a member of our tribe, the Wewazkang Tribe. Of course, this  is them an advantage in the local economic stage. They developed slowly, but always made bold and risky decisions that I wouldn't even dare to do if I were him."  The King took a bite of his food again. "And thank God that you aren't strict with alcohol or else I would die of thirst here." King Lapu chuckled at his own remark.

"To my shame I had no idea you are descendant of former slaves. Perhaps this is why you have chosen to help the people in need rather than resort to speeches and counterproductive measures. What you have done today is save eighty thousand souls from slavery. While I have no doubt that leaders who have done nothing or have made things worse will try to criticize you, remember the eighty thousand people you saved from a terrible fate. In the end that is all that matters. "

"If you don't mid me asking, Your Majesty, why not Rokkenjima? They have a very powerful empire, a huge navy and a multitude of military bases. Why not also seek to ally with them?" she asked genuinely curious but at the same time gesturing that should King Lapu not want to answer they could change the subject.

"Yeah, our Wewazkangz tribe was once a small tribe, bullied by the Esiha and Caste Tribes every few years or so. During after wars, my ancestors were enslaved, raped, whatever the fuck they wanted to do. A miracle happened when the two aforementioned tribes went to war with each other, letting us focus on the home front. Thanks to the arrival of the Catholics, we were protected and from there we rose to power." King Lapu rambled on for a minute as he sighed and took a sip of the liquor. Upon hearing the remark about Rokkenjima, he took an even deeper sigh as he replied. "We have found out, through a meeting about a continental railroad. With that, we learned that the Rokkenjimans are determined to destroy something that has been discussed and established as something official, for their personal gain. My suspicion on them being selfish imperialists was when the talks between them and Heyra began and they did a whole 180 on them. I don't exactly know the details, but that's what I have observed so far and I don't feel like they're going to change." He ended with emptying his glass and taking a bite of his meal.

The Queen nodded in agreement with King Lapu saying "Indeed the Catholic Church has been a positive influence in many parts of the world."

The Queen then rose , approached king Lapu holding a black box. She then opened the box revealing a medal:

"This is the Order of the Attican Kingdom, allow me to offer it to you for freeing eighty thousand people from slavery. That is no small task. Congratulations, Your Majesty. " she then handed the black box containing the medal to King Lapu.

After she gave the medal to King Lapu, she bowed and said :

"Your Majesty" signaling that the meeting is over and that she is ready to escort the King to his car.

The King looked at the medal, with a surprised look. "You don't need to do this, Your Majesty." He said, while smiling. "But thank you for this. Freeing all those slaves was not an easy decision anyone can do, but it's something that was needed to be done." He said, taking the medal and having his last sip of oghi. "It has been a pleasure being here." He extended his hand. "If Attica is in dire situations, remember that Quintelia is ready to help." He entered his car outside, waving to the press. The King then left Tamora, this time without the whole aerial convoy, which would take the now-freed slaves to their new home.
