Though neither of them would admit it, as it would be wholly improper, both Ælirn and Kallax were quite happy with the brief length of Vice President Vadik's chat. And Ælirn was quite happy that the next person to make their way into her presence was none other than King David, the man she's wanted to speak with in the first place. Kallax smiled as David approached, giving her niece a comforting squeeze on the shoulder.
"Good luck, little Empress," she said, smiling.
"What, are you leaving?" Ælirn replied hastily, "Why?"
"You're both monarchs, and I have no doubt you have very monarchic things to talk about. And me? I'm just an old Minister," Kallax laughed, "You'll do great."
"Ugh, fine," the Empress sighed, as David moved in, "Love you."
"I love you too," Kallax said as she walked away, giving the King a respectful nod.
"King David," said Ælirn responding to his bow with a nod of her own, "We would not have dreamed of declining. And our Aunt is enjoying herself as well." The Empress gestured to Kallax making her way away, before following the King. Ælirn made certain to choose a non-alcoholic drink, taking a long sip before she responded to the King.
"Our enthronement was overall quite wonderful, thank you. Kind of nervewracking, but we imagine those sort of things usually are, at least at first," Ælirn gave a polite laugh, "But yes, we assumed we'd be talking about those sorts of things. Two Heads of States don't usually meet for the first time and not do so."
"Oh!" Ælirn then said, as though she'd forgotten something she had just remembered, "We would like to visit one of your temples at some point if, uh, possible. It's tradition for a visiting Xæthoon Empress to offer gifts to the land's local deities."

Kallax, meanwhile, was looking to speak to somebody a little more her speed. Leave the monarchs and the nobles to her niece, Kallax herself was more interested in the thinkers and the visionaries present. She had, after all, spent far more of her life as the CEO and visionary of Phaaza than she had as Xæth's Minister of Technology. It was a title she still had some getting used to.
But she set her sights Martin Dawson first, from what she did know of the man he reminded her a little of herself when she was a young woman: brilliant with computers and the founder of their own wildly successful companies. When she found him she waited to make sure he was not speaking with anyone, she'd hate to be rude after all, before moving to speak with him.
"Xitaar; Mr. Dawson, yes?" she said with a smile, extending a hand to shake, "Kallax xy Ool, founder and former CEO of Phaaza and current Minster of Technology of Xæth. It is a pleasure to meet you."
