"Piripi and Maata, we've been expecting your presence, to our great joy." Rodrigo greeted introducing himself along with Victoria holding their glasses of liquor, shaking hands and letting the Iwi couple deliver their "breath of life" if they wished in order to not break any protocol.

"As much as this is a grand occasion to celebrate the life long unions between peoples, you did mention in your message that you'd like to discuss the details in regards to your visit. Considering this opportunity's presented by your initiative, I'm naturally inclined to have this discussion at your discretion and appropriate opportunity, at any given time." the Krimeonite monarch quietly told his Iwi colleague.

King Lapu took some water in the car as to try and dilute the alcohol he took over the flight, but of course it won't do much. He went straight to the boat, only getting a glimpse on what would be happening to the other attendees. Upon reaching the island, he looked around and saw his uncle, or second cousin twice removed, or whatever the relationship is. He decided to greet him, the Iwi king, and King David and the other leaders later and found himself a seat. However, he accidentally bumped to a mumbling and stuttering man, probably trying to comfort the woman on the other seat. It took King Lapu a few seconds before he realized it's Alys and the Cabbage King-Minister-Preacher dude. He extended his hand out as to greet Brassicus. "Uh, hi there, nice to meet you." He paused before continuing. "Uhh, what's your official title again? I just want to know, I'm a bit confused." He asked, trying not to sound  condescending. He also tried to not glance at Alys, as she may or may not be that calm and may or may not try to kill him.

"Bloody hell!" Brassicus exclaimed as King Lapu bumped into him. "Urm... Hello. Nice to meet you aswell. My official title would be... Grand Preacher." Brassicus, happy that he managed to not screw up meeting Lapu, turned around to Alys.

"Wait... What were we talking about again my dear Alys?" said Brassicus to Alys, as he had forgotten his conversation with Alys while talking to Lapu.

Rachel Lascelles had been rather excited, she found weddings fascinating and a former Priestess of Marissa she had an interest in the ways and rituals of other places. She had accompanied her husband the Grand Duke of Bakkermaya on what was her first official outing as the Grand Duchess of her homeland. The pair dutifully stood still as the rituals were performed and Hugo kind of felt disappointed that they had elected to not walk up the hill as he had a real fascination to see the everyday life of the people of the island. It seemed a fascinating community and one he'd like to have explored. Instead they found themselves in the Ball Room greeting the various other guests. It was however King David that Rachel really wanted to speak with, she had dedicated herself at one point to teaching about the faith and serving Marissa, it was only once she'd meet Hugo that her family persuaded her to marry him rather than remain a Priestess yet still in her heart she adored the faith and the Gods. She bowed deeply. "Your Majesty, I'm Grand Duchess Rachel, its such an honour to meet you" she said as Hugo joined her.

The Balll room was filling up quickly with the international guests as well as the cream of Lodjain nobility. Among the small side conversations and Maori rubbing noses Lady Jasmina checked on Tonya, the stand in for tomorrows rituals. She was stood with a small clipboard with a running order written on. "No...no" Jasmina chided the new girl. "You can't put Prince Rodrigo first just because he has asked first" she pointed and Tonya immediately crossed out the name using the pencil. "Look" Jasmina lowered her volume, "A Lodjian must see the new couple first, it wouldn't be seemly to ignore our own people in favour of the visitors, so put a Lodjain first and second and then have the foreign guests mixed in with the others." She explained, it looked like Tonya would cry, short of becoming Queen many young girls across the Queendom dreamed of being Ladies in Waiting, the glamour and prestige that came with it where incredible and Tonya now had a sniff of it, if she made a good impression during this next few days then perhaps she'd get the job of the permanent basis that was sure to be examined in the next few days. "It's ok" Jasmina noticed the wettning of Tonya's eyes, "Just need to learn much quicker than I did" she gave the newbie a gentle hug. "Come on" she lead her by the hand to where Rodrigo and his wife were waiting.

"Your Highness I've taken care of that." Tonya said as she returned to the royals. "Someone shall call you when its the neccessary time." she added just as the High Priestess, now dressed in long white robes entered, she was accompanied by  Maria Shvets and Arina Maksimov the two "Priestess for Youth" who had in reality become her two proteges and kind of enforcers of the faith.

"Honoured Guests" Alla Kohut had made her way onto the stage where the evenings band would be located, "I must give you some background for the ceremony." She began, "Sadly not all of you can be present." She looked around the room. "King David, you're well practiced at this so I must ask you to depart for your role begins outside this Palace, Lady Jasmina you too, ensure his Majesty gets to where he is needed." The Lady bowed to the High Priestess and accompanied David out the Ball Room, as an escort he would be expected to greet the Queen as she arrived. "As for everyone else we shall make our way down into the Temple of the Goddess, it sits at the heart of the island and is where Sessifet resided. The Temple is part of an underground complex of chambers each for a specific ritual for the Goddess. This one has two doors, those here related to the Duke will take the left door, those with the Queen the right." Alla looked at the group, "All of the visiting Heads of State and the like you will take the right door please. Once we are inside the Duke will make his entrance, he will be escorted by Lady Anna and Lady Jasmina and two Guardsman. Meanwhile once on the island the Queen shall enter along with Lady Stasya, Lady Roksana and their escort which includes King David. We shall then conduct the ceremony. Anyone not invited into the Temple may watch here." As if on perfect timing a large projector screen came into life showing a view of the Temple beneath their feet. "If you'd care to follow me." Alla led the group down the twisting turning staircases each brightly decorated with pictures of nature until they came to the Temple of the Goddess, the deepest of the various parts of the complex. Alla lead the group including the foreign guests down the right hand door while the two younger Priestesses the left. The group were left standing for only a few minutes with gentle harp music playing when the sound of marching feet indicated the arrival of the first of the participants.

Duke Leopold appeared first, the two Ladies in Waiting with him a step behind each dressed in a pale blue dress and flowers woven in their hair. A step behind them were Duke Thikkon and a smartly uniformed Marine officer each with their swords drawn, while the Ladies followed Leopold to the centre of the room, the guests having formed a ring around the walls. The groom was dressed in a black suit, his noble chains around his neck. He chatted casually with those around the room as he waited. He found himself near Emperor Orion. "You know Your Imperial Majesty" he said quietly, "I think they should get some seats put in here. I know Klara quiet well know, damn womens always late." He laughed nervously his first expression of how he truly felt.

While Tonya had been organising the Ball Room the Queen's boat had arrived down at the Quayside, she'd already been held up passing through Gaia where large crowds had gathered to see their Queen, her dress the tradtional robes of a Queen dark blue with gold thread, she had her hair tied back and a tiaraof silver and gold on her head. As she arrived along with her father King David offered a helping hand off the boat, just as he had done for Viktoria. "Your Majesty looks stunning" he said quietly to the Queen before giving her a fine salute. "Major Ironside requesting permission to form up the Escort to the Queen." He said formally as Stasya helped him with the Lodjian by whispering.

"Granted Your Majesty" the Queen said impressed with how David's accent was coming along.

"ESCORT TO THE QUEEN!!!" David belowed, he'd been practicing back home and had even had Red Legion Sergeant Olly Thomas help him, "FALL.....IN" He marched briskly to his position at the back left corner of the escort, just behind his partner Stasya. He glanced left and right checking that everyone was in position, nodded to the young Air Force Pilot Officer opposite him behind Roksana and the pair drew their swords. "BY THE CENTRE......QUICK......MARCH" the group began the walk up the hill as the Island's inhabitants cheered the Queen, children running alongside waving flags as they went. David began feeling his back ache as they climbed but years of drill practice and a determination to do things in the proper military fashion meant his sword stayed perfectly vertical as they took the winding road. Those below had their first indication the Queen was coming as loud cheers filtered down to them from the room above before the sound of marching again. The Queen entered and the Lodjains present bowed, the four military officers saluted each other and in a tricky drill manouver in a confined space took up positions facing away from the ceremony either side of the door as if on guard for any danger coming while the Ladies in Waiting formed a kind of box around the couple.

"Their on guard preventing evil entering the Temple and cursing the marriage." Maria Shvets, one of the two young Priestesses explained to the foreign guests.

The Duke looked at Klara and beamed, she looked beautiful and while to him this was a mere political marriage he figured he was fortunate enough that the 19year old Queen was rather pretty. "Please tell Her Divine Majesty she looks beautiful" He said addressing Lady Roksana, it was considered back luck for the groom and bride to exchange words before being married and so Roksana passed this message on making Klara blush.

Alla held a hand up silencing the Temple. "Today we witness the joining of three entities, the Goddess who is most loving and merciful, Queen Klara who is blessed to carry the Goddess inside her and....."Alla didn't finish as the Queen held up a hand of her own.

"Queen Klara is my royal name" she said turning to the assembled crowd. "I was created by Sessifet as Tatiana Kohut, it is that person that shall give herself to Duke Leopold not the symbolic Head of State, but an individual fortunate enough to be Queen." the High Priestess nodded and began again. ""Today we witness the joining of three entities, the Goddess who is most loving and merciful, Tatiana Kohut who is blessed to carry the Goddess inside her and Duke Leopold, who the people shall give to the Goddess." She had a small pouch on the belt. "Before you may be given to the Goddess you must be pure" she spoke to Leopold and began piling salt on his head, so much that it began to pour down onto his face and shoulders, he kept his eyes tight shut but couldn't avoid getting it in his mouth making him want to spit, here however was not the place. "Leopold do you admit that you have done wrong in your life?"

"I have Your Holiness" he said wiping some of the substance from his mouth invoulentarily.

"You must make a mends for this wrong. How shall you do that?" Alla asked him.

""I shall devote myself fully to the Goddess" the formal promise made he was now free to speak his own vows. "From today forward my life is Tatianas. I shall walk beside her taking whatever load she needs me to carry. I shall support all she does, I shall be her protector in times of danger, her adviser in times of confusion and her constant ever loving companion ever.  I shall submit fully and utterly to the will of Divine Sessifet and the beautiful women she has choosen." He spoke from his knees his soon to be wifes hand on his salt scattered head.

"Do you accept his oath?" Alla asked the Queen who reached a hand down to Leopold.

"I accept his oath" the Queen said as she helped Leopold back to his feet. It was only then something happened that only those who had witnessed Viktoriya's wedding to Baron Roman would remember, the voice of the Queen changed, it became deeper and David even turned around from the door shocked at how just like her predecessor she know sounded, "On behalf of Tatiana" the voice was deeper, booming, almost as if it came from everywhere at once, "I accept this man to be my first of many, he shall have a special place for he is choosen for me by the people, and the people are my heart" Somehow the last part sounded much more convincing to David than Viktoriya's had been and now as he remembered the former Queen he snapped his gaze back to the staircase he was supposed to be guarding against evil.

"Tatiana do you give Leopold your oath." Alla asked, the Duke had made his, so had Sessifet and now just the human guardian was left.

Unlike Leopold the bride was not free to choose her own oath, she was guided by the scriptures and the Queen began to say the words. "If Sessifet has accepted this man into her heart I must go where the Goddess leads. I shall give the Duke my body as Sessifet has given him her heart."

"Pick a Lodjain and follow them." Shvets whispered to the guests as Alla began the next part.

"Please join me in blessing this union." Alla said loudly and the bride and groom knelt. Those closest, namely the Ladies in Waiting placed a hand on the head of one of the two and walked a circle as Alla said prayers. It looked like chaos as the Lodjains present and perhaps those who had attended Viktorias wedding walked a rotating pattern around the room weaving in and out until each person present had touched the head of at least one of the couple. "Long life and happiness" Shvets whispered quietly to the Queen as she passed, each of the Lodjains giving a small prase of blessing in their second or so of contact. Soon as if by magic everyone was back where they began. " "In the name of the Goddess I declare the pair joined. Leopold shall join the ranks of the Husbands of Sessifet and be graced with a seat beside her for all time. You are now joined." The pair turned and spoke to each other for the first time before kissing, as had been practiced David had been using his sword blade to keep an eye on Alla during the twisting turning blessing phase and now swung into action.

"MAKE WAY FOR THE ESCORT!" The King yelled, his voice echoing off the walls, the King and the three military men almost without waiting for anyone to make a path for them marched towards the now married couple, an escort of the Queen and the King standing infront of the pair while a likewise arrangement went off behind.

"They show now that no force will rip apart the marriage." Shvets explained once more to the foreign guests. Stasya took up a position in front of the newly formed square and with a basket of purple flowers lead the way out of the Temple dropping the petals as she walked. The now royal couple made their way up and back to above ground. Only once they had left did the guests file out by the opposite door hearing the crowd in the Ball Room rejoyce as the newlyweds marched past towards the throne room.

As the rest came back above ground the staff of the Palace provided drinks and some snacks, the Ball Room was now a heaving mass as people waited to be permitted into the throne room where things were being sorted. The three Ladies in Waiting minus Roksana, along with their young apprentice reappeared and mingled, David along with them holding hands with Stasya. "How was my Lodjain" he asked Stasya as they grabbed a drink and headed towards where Shvets had ushered the foreign guests.

"Its getting there" Stasya said, "I think its all to your teachers credit, you're a terrible student" she mocked him. It was true he wasn't the easiest person to teach the language to but then again Stasya had much better things to do than teach him and so was pleased with how he'd done. "You'll find tomorrow easier" she said giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before guiding him over towards Adelheid. "Princess Adelheid" Stasya greeted her warmly. "I think you know His Majesty King David" she said just in case. "I know its not the political thing to say" she lowered her voice so just the three of them could hear, "But I think I bagged the best looking guy in the ceremony" She watched as David blushed. "Your dance card filling up yet" she asked the Princess noticing already Lodjian noble men beginning to work out which of the visiting ladies were of high rank and single, something very appealing to a Lodjain.

"There will be a brief break to allow the Throne Room to be set up, I know its a bit silly" Shvets was explaining, "But the placement of the chairs is highly important in our royal court and well, Duke Leopolds chair will need to be moved and Lady Roksana needs to change, the consort of the Queen can't be considered a Lady in Waiting at events such as this. Its bloody confusing" the young holy leaders tone suggested she didn't fully approve and she realised this may have come over as being anti Roksana marrying the Queen. "Oh! I don't mean it that way" she began correcting herself horrified at what the people may think she meant. "I mean that having two weddings so close together. I'm actually excited to have the Queen marry a woman I've never performed a same sex marriage and Queen Klara is permitting me to run the ceremony tomorrow. A bit of a big stage for a first performance so to say." she had turned bright red and realised she may have started waffling and so turned to Ælirn. "Perhaps we can use tonight to find you a handsome Lodjain to dance with" Again she suddenly realised she maybe had overstepped her mark and realised international politics was a minefield. "Oh pardon me Your Majesty" she said hoping she hadn't caused offence. She wished the Throne Room door would hurry up and open but instead the sound behind her was Dragan Knežević making his way over, he'd missed the ceremony having been selected as the member of the Conclave who had to guard the throne room during the ceremony.

"Hi everyone, Majesties, Highnesses, Lords and Ladies" Dragan welcomed everyone. "When we enter we've done something a little different to Viktoriyas wedding" he noticed familiar faces, "Those who are here again that is. Normally we give an hour for this but with there being another wedding tomorrow we're kind of killing two birds with one stone so unless its deadly important to present things to Roksana we're doing all gift giving today." he explained, "So the couple are going for two hours, Tonya has got you all down for some point in the first hour. Then we'll discreetly head out......of course if anyone wants to stay during the full show feel free. We've also provided seats for you all, their to the right of the throne, I would ask on a matter of protocol that should the Queen stand so do you. That's the housekeeping taken care of." He grabbed a glass of wine. "How you all finding it? Personally I prefer the party to the ceremony as I'm not a slave to ritual." He turned to Shvets, " Sessifet knows I love her" he said as an explanation, "I don't need to be cramped in a cave to prove it. I actually rather like the Cult of Helus' rituals, a good feed, a good drink and I belive often a bit of swordplay, seems rather exciting. Although I'd be keen to see other rituals too, always keen to learn." He hated making small talk but knew it was a neccsity to buy some time for preparations next door and entertain the visitors.

Ælirn stood ramrod straight as she made her way into the Temple for the marriage ceremony, her face the very image of imperious regality. Of course, inside she felt like she was about to be violently ill from the anxiety but she always hid it best when she wasn't interacting with anyone. And she hated it; she knew perfectly well she had no reason to worry. After all, it wasn't as though she was the one getting married today; the only thing she had to worry about was sitting down and watching. Allan, to his credit, noticed what was behind his niece's mannerisms and once they had been seated and before the ceremony began he spoke quietly to Ælirn.

"Hey, you all right?" he asked, the concern evident in his voice.

"Yeah, just a little worried about things. Never been to a marriage like this, you know?" she gave a small chuckle.

Allan sighed but didn't press the issue, "True, it's nothing like back home. Maybe we should introduce them to the concept of an open-air wedding, huh?"

"Well tomorrow's ceremony is supposed to be in the market square, so I don't think-"

"Joke, Ælirn. I know."

"Oh. Right. Sorry."

Fortunately for the young Empress, once the ceremony began she forgot her anxieties. They were still there, of course, but she was fascinated enough by the ongoing procedues that they weren't at the forefront of her mind. "That was fascinating," she said excitedly to Allan after they had made their way out.

"True; I wonder how she changed her voice like that," he said, voicing his thoughts aloud and not worrying about being overheard as he sincerely doubted anyone nearby spoke Xæthoon.

"I mean, suggestion is a powerful thing."

Allan shrugged almost dismissively, "Fair enough."

As they stood there Ælirn was more than happy to listen to Shvets, even if she did begin waffling. Though when she spoke directly to the Empress, Ælirn almost froze up. "Um, well perhaps I can," she says awkwardly, "Unless my Uncle wishes to dance with me."

"My apologies, but I feel like it would be remiss of me if I didn't keep myself free for any Lodjain ladies who might seek my attention," Allan says, "In the name of international relations."

Ælirn spared him a quick sidelong glare before focsuing back on Shvets, "So, yes. Perhaps we shall."

Ælirn appreciated the change in topic upon Dragan's arrival, though Allan appreciated the small talk more than the Empress did. "Agreed; lovely as the Temple might be I prefer the open air of the ziggurats back home. Could do without their height, though," the Prince said.

Brassicus was quite... bored of the Lodjan ceremony. People were getting wed or whatnot, sure, but couldn't they just get to the bloody point? Brassicus' boredom didn't last long as he fell asleep with his head on Alys' shoulder. His sleep was interrupted by someone shouting "MAKE WAY FOR THE ESCORT!" Brassicus woke up, a bit annoyed, then made his way out in his sleep-drunken state.

"Bloody hell, I need a drink." mumbled Brassicus, trying to get his flask of tea from his pocket. Instead he accidentally got out a small black box from his pocket. Then he remembered why he had gone to this whole wedding thing: It was to propose to Alys of course! He quickly put the ring-containing box into his pocket and started thinking of ways to get Alys into mood for a proposal. He stood still, not really listening to Dragan and planning what to say to Alys.

Brassicus waited for Dragan to finish speaking and then turned around to Alys, holding her hand. "Alys, you know, with all this 'wedding' stuff going on... Don't you think it'd be nice if we... Erm..." Brassicus took the small black box out from his pocket and opened the box, revealing a silver engagement ring. "... If we... Ah, Brassicus Prime damnit, let me just cut to the point. My dear Alys, would you like to marry me?"

Alys had not seen Brassicus fall asleep and was mightily annoyed he had done so. That annoyance was soon quenched with embarrassment as she turned bright red. Quickly she covered the box with her hand, closing it in the process and shoving it back into Brassicus' lap. Looking around quickly, she hope the actions had gone unnoticed. Leaning close, she whispered into his ear.

"Put that away you fool! As flattered as I am, now is not the time for this discussion...a discussion I am very interested in having...but here, during the ceremony? That's just a trifle...impolite."

Alys strightened back up, one hand slipping the box back into Brassicus' pocket while the other took the place of the box in Brassicus' hand. She gave it a reassuring squeeze and shot him a sideways wink before turning back to watch the end of the ceremony.

"Lahana you troglodyte!" mumbled Brassicus, realizing what foolery he had done.

"Sorry Alys... I might've gotten a bit excited when I found that box lying around." Brassicus decided to just shut up for once and just watch the ceremony, winking back at Alys' wink.

"It was simply a wonderful experience, Lord Knežević. Victoria and I participated in one back home in the Lodjain Community there, although it's a nice change of atmosphere and the fact that we got to experience it right now in the Motherland, we couldn't ask anything more authentic than this", Rodrigo replied. The Krimeonite Royal couple could still feel the joyous moments in the air around them as they had entered the temple, witnessing at first hand an exotic wedding ceremony than they were used to, and for that they were looking forward to the extra festivities and enjoying their time in this country. At the same time, Rodrigo wondered when his son, Prince Charles, would show up and dazzle everyone else with his presence. The couple had their glasses filled with some additional wine as they made their attempt to make themselves open for mingling, if anyone wanted that is.

The double large oak doors where pushed open as a fanfare played out, the Lodjians present began bubbling with excitement as the nation was about to have its first King in five years. The position carried less power than the Queen by some way but still it was something they people liked the thought of, a proper Royal Family. Once the music had died down Lord Besarian took his place near the door. "Her Divine Majesty Queen Klara II and her husband His Majesty King Leopold have agreed to put aside time on their joyous day to hear the concerns, wishes and thoughts of their people and their friends. Please enter their throne room and await their audience."

As they made their way inside the guests would see a series of six steps, sat on the third step where the three Ladies in Waiting, Jasmina, Stasya and Anna joined by the stand-in Lady Tonya. The step up from them saw Lady Roksana sat in a fancy carved wooden chair, the next step saw the now King Leopold and on the top step in a golden chair sat Queen Klara, she had exchanged her tiara style headware for a proper crown now, while Leopold wore a silver circlet around his head signifying his position. The Lodjians filed in taking up positions either side of a strip of blue carpet on the otherwise polished wood floor. "Duke Tikhon Savva you may approach the Queen Lord Besarian announced and the Duke stepped forward onto the carpet faced the steps and bowed before approaching the bottom step and bowing again.

"Your Divine Majesty, Your Majesty" He nodded respectfully to Klara first and then Leopold. "May I present you with this gift on behalf of your loyal subjects." He held forward a velvet wrapped object.

"Duke Thikkon we would be honoured to accept your gift" Klara said from her step at the top of the setting. With that Lady Anna rose and took the bag from the Duke and bowing to the new King handed it off. The King unwrapped the bag and smiled, a carving in wood of the Goddess Sessifet, the Goddesses eyes made from emeralds. Leopold thanked the Duke and then handed it up to the Queen who did likewise before motioning for Anna to come and retrieve it. Anna carefully took it from the Queen and headed down the length of the carpet to place it at the far end on a long wooden table.

The next person called was a young military NCO, he had been selected for the meet and greet specifically. "Your Divine Majesty, may I present this petition." He bowed handing up a piece of paper. While Anna was making her way back Stasya stood and accepted it unrolling it and reading it aloud, the young man was the fifth generation of his family to serve in the military and as such was now able to petition any noble to grant his family patrician status. As Stasya finished reading Klara stood and descended the steps but remaining on the bottom one.

"Thank you for your families devotion" she raised the man to his feet and kissed him on each cheek, "I welcome the Kozlukovic family to the Patricians of Lodja, henceforth let it be known Sessifet has enobled this family, you may forge your own emblemn and enjoy all the rights of a Patrician. As such I grant you a comission as officer in my Armed Forces and wish you well." Stasya handed the Queen a single silver coin, the symbol that a member of the armed forces had become a Patrician. The mans father and grandfather were in the crowd and spotting them wave to the newly gazetted officer the Queen motioned them over and called for Leopold to join them for a group photo. The set up complete the Queen returned to her seat.

The next name to be called was King David of East Moreland. He marched to the step, used his sword to salute the Queen and then untucked a small box from under his arm and handed it to Lady Jasmina. "Your Divine Majesty, on behalf of your East Moreland allies please accept this gift" the box contained a pair of ear-rings and a set of cufflinks, each half of the pair had the coat of arms of the couple on. "If I may also present a petition" he handed up a red envelope, clearly he'd had help, the red envelope's essentially meant for the Queen's eyes only and were used for petitions that could be rather politically sensitive, in the past for example they'd be used to request the Queen to investigate crimes by one noble against another, or to request an exile of a rival. The crowd murmured as the envelope was opened by Jasmina but the contents left inside. The Queen removed the hand-written note and looked at it, smiled and held it in thought for a moment.

"Your Majesty we thank you for the gift and the consideration. In light of your past poor form in our court it is nice to see you learning our ways. I am however unsure that at this time I can grant you petition. We shall however speak later tonight and discuss it more. So at present it is a no." David seemed a little surprised but whipped his sword up in salute and marched back into the crowd.

"And next we have...." Besarian called the name and waited for them to present themselves.

OOC- I'll move on again Sunday evening probably, if you want to speak to the newlyweds, present a secret petition (make the envelope red) or a public one (white envelope) or just have a chat then have Besarian announce your people and hand any gifts to one of the  Ladies in Waiting. (Anna, Jasmina, Stasya, Tonya)

Orion had glanced at Leopold before the wedding, polity smiling:

"Well some get to choose their Spouse, some don't" with a reassuring nod: "There's a price to pay for power, as Albrecht always says." there was a hint of resignation in the tone, but the young Emperor took a Deep breath and saw the soon to be King off to his Wedding.

Adelheid had been rather busy during the Ceremony, phoning with someone off side as to not annoy people watching the ceremony. There was enough to do, making sure some people got accommodated for, the gifts to be ready for Orion and her Brother Albrecht to hand over. Just as the wedding was over, she heard the news of there supposedly be no gift giving the next day, and she had darted over to Stasya, who greeted her with the Question about the Dance card, Adelheid smiled:

"As long as it's not Duke Teacup, i'd be glad with anyone. Hadn't much time yet. Between helping to keep some press People off the second Airship that sneaked in on the Airfield during the Ceremony, i need to make vacation plans for an Angsty Teen, the Clucking hen of my Brother, my Parents and the nine little devils that didn't run away." She nodded slowly, before her eyes widened: "Oh please tell me the E Mail arrived to you that Albrecht had the Brilliant Idea of a whole Family vacation for a couple of days..."

She then shook her head: "Well that's secondary. We do have the Permit to Park the Ships for a couple days already..." she then tipped with her foot on the floor: "There's one little Problem. the little Boy Emperor had a Gift prepared he wanted to hand over on the second day, saying that it's a more personal one than he sees fit for today. Which i have to agree. I hope you can arrange that, or let the others arrange it and  get some Free time with Your own future King?"

She then smiled: "Also, if any of Bessarian's younger Brothers are free and you come across them, let them know i am Free for a Dance later. Just not for Teacup."

Albrecht had picked up the Gift  his Sister had brought in earlier from one of the servants, before carrying it next to Orion forward.

The Prince Regent went down on one knee, making sure his head was lowered below Orions. In his outstretched hands he held a gilded Tablet, where three sets of clothing where finely laid on, before Orion, spoke:

"Your Divine Majesty, your Majesty" with his head he went from Klara, to Leopold, last to Roksana:

"The People of the Empire present this Gift to your Wedding. They hope that you may use it one day to Speak in front of one of the Senates."

Albrecht would let one of the Ladies in waiting Pick up the Tablet, while staying on his knee.

The Two sets left and right are pristine white Silk Tunics with gilded seams, added by an Imperial Purple Toga that equally has gilded Seams. Both of them have a silver Embroilment with the Respective wedding Date on them, one for the Fifth, and the other for the Sixth, making clear which one was tailored for Leopold, and which for Roksana.

The third one was seated a little bit above the other two on the Tablet, the Silken Tunic was Blue instead of White, with the golden Seam. The Toga was in a Darker shade of blue, seemingly and attempt to hit the Royal Color of Lodja, but equally with the golden Rim. This Time the Embroilment didn't have a date, but was a gold threaded depiction of all of the Lodjan Islands and Mainland Regions, ranging all over the Togas Length. Even Major Roads and cities had been marked. For Simplicity Reasons Small Pictures of the Whole Toga and tunics where layd into them so they Ladies in Waiting wouldn't have to unfold them right there unless they wanted to.

Orion and Albrecht would then make their way over to Seats where Bessarian had previously pointed them.

Once Orion and Albrecht made their way to the assigned seats, it was time for Rodrigo and Victoria to approach the newly wed couple, kneeling down per courtesy before them, both presenting a gift eact.

"Your Divine Majesty, Your Majesty." Rodrigo began to speak. "We both know that monarchs and their spouses such as ourselves devote our lives for the benefit of our realms; no matter how small or big they are, it can be quite hectic at times and relaxation after a day's hard work is paramount in order to keep being ongoing." he paused Before continuing.

"This is the reason as to why we wish to present thee these gifts based on that notion, on behalf of Krimeonite people and especially the Lodjain Community in Krimeon who personally hand-crafted these, to your pleasure."

The gift consisted of sets, one to the Queen and the other belonging to the consorts, of finely made robes suitable in the bedroom the Principality could offer; each varied in colors and patterns in all possible arrangements and combinations. The Krimeonites then handed the gifts to the Ladies-in-Waiting.

"We also wish to present a petition." Victoria said, revealing a red envelope and gave it to whoever was responsible for reading it. The petition stated that Prince Rodrigo wished to have a private audience with the Queen at some point, to discuss state business and the like.
Once the response was made clear from their Lodjain counterpart whether it was granted or rejected, Rodrigo and Victoria thanked their hosts and stepped aside to allow other guests to present their gifts and petitions, heading towards their designated seats.

"His Imperial Majesty Emperor Peter Azurewind of the Holy Empire of Achkaerin." came the announcement when it was Peter's turn to present himself, he walked forwards towards the newly weds, his niece Cerys at his side carrying a tray on which the gifts for the newly weds sat - each of Klara, Leopold and Roksana would receive one. They were average ornament sized rose shaped sculptures each mounted on a circular base, each made from coloured glass and each made with a different colour combination. the one for Leopold was the typical green stem and red flower, the one for Roksana had a green stem and a violet flower, the one for Klara had a green stem with a blue flower and unless Peter's eyes were deceiving him there was a trace of gold in there as well. The base's had on them an engraved plate commemorating the occasion though the business of Klara's two names had caused a potential headache but the artist, Kirsty Tsu Peter's goddaughter, had made extra plates ones with Klara on them and others with Tatiana Kohut on them - the appropriate plates had been fitted very carefully after the ceremony.

"Your Divine Majesty." Peter said, giving a polite bow of his head, "On behalf of your Achkaerinese friends may I present you with these gifts." Cerys carefully handed the tray to Tonya and as the latest addition to the Lady in Waiting quartet retreated with the tray Peter reached inside his jacket pocket and produced a red envelope, this was where he was fortunate to have such knowledgeable and gifted people as Achkaerinese ambassadors and embassy staff the briefing document that Emalet had compiled had been thorough and highly informative.

"Also if I may present your Divine Majesty with this petition." Peter said, this time he handed the envelope to Anna who stepped forward to take it as Tonya had her hands full. It wasn't anything really difficult well at least that was what Peter hoped, the petition was concerned with Peter's desire to build up Achkaerin-Lodja relations with that in mind Peter's petition was asking for an application of article five of the Network of Crowns to be applied to his nephew Jack to come and spend some time in Lodja, with either Simon or Serenity this would have relatively straightforward but Jack wasn't a direct descendent of Peter hence the methodology of a petition in this matter.

While Peter had been presenting himself to the newly weds Emalet had been doing her thing, being the ambassador stationed to Lodja and better than that being one of those who was able to live on the Isle of Goddess meant that she had gotten used to socializing with the Lodjan nobility, she was in this instance in search of Lady Helene Tar to mention something that might be of interest to the Lodjan woman.

"Her Imperial Majesty, the Most Serene and Celestial Empress Ælirn XIX xy Thælyrn of Xæth," came next, and Ælirn quickly made her way forward alongside her Uncle. Ælirn carried in her hands a small wooden box, while Allan held a wooden tray of notably large size. The tray was absolutely laden with jewelry; it was two full entire sets, one for the queen and one for her wife-to-be. There were bangles and bracelets and necklaces and anklets and headpieces and waist pieces and rings and so on and so on. In short, everything Ælirn wore when she was making a formal appearance. Both sets had numerous gemstones as well, although Klara's did have more of them, and whilst Klara's set was made of brilliant gold Roksana's was wrought in silver. The Xæthoons had not forgotten Leopold, however, and there was a gift laid out for him as well. It was, unfortunately, yet another set of clothing. It was a traditional Xæthoon formalwear: a deep blue jacket that reached to the knees with an upturned collar, golden buttons that ran all down its length, and golden trimming alongside an accompanying pair of equally ornate white slacks.

"Your Divine Majesty, your Majesty," Ælirn begins, "We wish to congratulate you on your marriage, and wish you nothing but a happy future together. And we must wish you and Lady Roksana luck on your marriage tomorrow as well. Please accept these gifts on behalf of Xæth. And her people." She gestures and Allan hands the tray to the nearest of the Ladies-in-Waiting.

"But we also wish to present the Queen with this gift personally," the Empress opens up the box she is carrying to reveal inside yet another piece of jewelry. It is the shape of a flower wrought in thin gold and brilliant blue diamonds, with a golden chain to loop around the wrist and a pair of rings attached with golden chain, each ring being engraved with flowers and gripping beasts. "In Xæth we call these hand lotuses and they're traditionally worn by married women, with each ring representing one of her... spouses," Ælirn says with a smile, managing to catch herself before she said 'husbands', "And if you ever decide to marry again we would be more than happy to gift you another ring. Oh! And I also wish to present to you a rather nice pen." There was indeed a pen sitting in the box alongside the jewelry, a thing of lacquered wood and platinum fittings. The Empress quickly handed the box to another of the Ladies-in-Waiting and turned with a respectful nod the Queen, quickly followed by her Uncle.

The new royal couple thanked the Urburzis The Prince Regent and Emperor for their gifts, "I hope I can make good use of it" Queen Klara said as she examined the tablet. "It's a kind of thoughtful gift." she added before allowing one of the Ladies in Waiting to take it to the table displaying the various gifts. "The toga is something I shall very much look forward to wearing, please pass my compliments to the maker." the Queen concluded.

Next up was Rodrigo and Victoria, as the robes were presented upon mention of the Lodjain community making them the newly crowned King turned and spoke with his wife, she nodded and motioned for Lady Stasya to come to her and whispered in her ear, Stasya bowed and disappeared out of the throne room. Meanwhile the other Ladies carried their gifts down to the table where the mounting pile of gifts was being stored. The Queen read the petition and then handed it to her husband, it wasn't really the time nor place for state business but the Queen felt she couldn't really reject. "I shall have my staff contact you during the next few hours"

Next the Emperor of Achkaerin presented his gifts, the colours cleverly selected Klara once more thanked him as Lady Anna, Lady Stasya and Tonya paraded them the length of the hall, the table at the far end had a few curious observers gazing at the variety of different presents from around Mundus. As the Red envelope was handed over to Lady Anna the senior Lady in Waiting used a silver envelope opener to prepare it for the Queen. Klara read it and then looked back to Peter, strictly speaking she should say no but it wasn't exactly a difficult request and wouldn't cause any problems for Lodja. "Arrangements will be made at your conveniance" she replied agreeing that Jack could come and spend time on the Isle of the Goddess after all the Royal Court had traditionally welcomed high ranking foreigners from across Mundus and so Klara wouldn't change that any time soon.

The allocated time was nearly up however Ælirn's name was announced and the Queen watched the monarch come forward with her box. Klara watched as the tray was handed over to Jasmina who carefully placed it on the floor and took delight in picking out a few pieces to show the Queen. "A very thoughtful gift Your Imperial Majesty" Klara responded as Jasmina equally as carefully as she placed the tray down lifted it to parade it before the gathered crowd. As the jacket was presented Leopold stood and slipped the jacket it, the fitting rather snug but he was still wearing his own suit jacket.

"I think I shall never need to buy another garment, and what a fine way to look for the rest of my life" he said as he carefully slipped the jacket off and neatly folded it for Stasya to take to the table at the end.

As Ælirn explained about the hand lotus Klara gave a mischeivious grin, "So I suspect when I run out of fingers I start with the toes?" she didn't wait for the visiting monarch to respond, "You had better get your jewellers working extra hard if thats the case." she added thanking her for the gift. As the Queen returned to her place among the various visitors a name called "Princess Anfisa Naumov" A woman wearing the pale blue and silver embroided dress of a Princess came from out of the crowd. Anfisa was the Great-Grand-daughter of Queen Sonja and as tradition dictated the Queen's descendants for three generations were entitled to use royal titles, she was the nations CNN Envoy and spent most of her time in Ui Cenneslaig at their HQ. She came and bowed but Klara spoke quickly halting her.

"Anfisa we are family" Klara said, "My family may ask of me anything they need anytime they wish, this special occasion is not neccessary to gain my approval." Klara was in the eyes of the followers of Sessifet still Anfisa's Great-Grandmother as Sonja had been the Guardian of Sessifet in much the same way as Klara was today and thus the fact Sessifet resided in both made an unbroken connection.

"Thank you Grandmother" Anfisa still thought it sounded ridicolous but tradition was tradition after all. She handed over a white envelope, "I would ask Her Maje---my grandmother to grant me permission to return to the service of the Priesthood, and to allow me to open, should His Majesty King David agree, a Temple modelled on our own here in East Moreland." It was a rather surprising request and took Klara by surprise. The Lodjains in the room had burst into hushed conversations and Klara sensed everyones eyes on her. It was a hard request to ignore, Anfisa had always been more devout than most of the royal family, the Queens excluded, and had once been a Priestess of a small mountain town before her Great-Grandmother had pressed her into service.

"Should King David agree then I shall name you the Priestess of Sessifet for Alba Karinya." Klara said as a ripple of applause spread through the crowd, it was then that King David reappeared before her.

"Your Majesty I shall permit this on one condition." Klara knew what was coming, the condition no doubt would be the granting of his petition from earlier, she had publically turned it down, however as it had arrived in a red envelope nobody other than her knew its contents, it was in a way still an embarassing thing to do to a visiting Head of State, especially one her nation valued so much. The King began to speak and Klara readied hersellf to say no despite dashing Anfisas hopes. "For a temple to built land in East Moreland must be purchased and if for a religious reason it must be approved by the High Priestess of the Cult of Helus." Truth be told the purchase was never refused, some planning rules were put in place but nothing major. "That is unless it is royal land. I would like to grant some land on the edge of Silverhills to Princess Anfisa, a gift to your Great Grandaughter on your wedding day." David hoped whatever offence he'd given Klara that had seen her say no earlier may at least in part be forgiven with the gesture.

"Thank you for your gift" Klara nodded respectfully to King David. "Princess Anfisa, go forth and build me a Temple." A louder round of applause echoed through the room. "I am afraid I need to stretch my legs" Klara stood and all seated in the hall did likewise. "My apologise to those I've missed, I'm sure Lady Anna will make sure I meet you as the day progresses." she descended the steps, almost hopping down them like a young girl might as first Leopold, then the Ladies in Waiting followed her.

Lord Besarian stepped onto the bottom step and loudly proclaimed to the room. "Please mingle, have a drink or six and be merry. The royal couple shall quickly change and then join us for the first dance. Please head back to the Ball Room. The doors opened and the Ball Room had seemingly changed, white silks hung from various parts of the roof creating a series of booths along the edge, at the back of the room sat large circular tables. Each of the silk encassed booths had a national flag protruding signifying it was for each of the visiting Heads of State, a place to privately do business in the gaze of the public. The corridors outside where now throng with people too as those coming for the ball arrived, even the quad gardens in the centre of the Palace had little gatherings, mainly of the younger nobles, some already dancing as some of the Palace musicians played to the small groups. Lady Helene Tar sought out Emalet at this point, "Madam Ambassador" the former Queen's mother greeted the Achkaerin ambassador. "I understand your looking for me."

As the room began to fill with noise as finishing touches where put to the evening Klara and Leopold re-entered the Ball-Room, the Queen's dress now changed to one showing a new coat of arms that had merged both her own and her new husbands. Leopold meanwhile had donned a formal dinner jacket and bowtie which was the Queen's pale blue with silver pin stripe indicating his now royal rank. Without much fanfare the pair headed towards one of the silk booths where two Warriors of Gaia, the Queen's personnel guard stood giving a semblance of a doorway where none existed. Lady Anna sat one side of the Queen while Jasmina sat next to Leopold, no doubt there would still be some wishing to present gifts in the window before the first dance. Klara smiled as it was obvious young noble girls and boys where casting eyes over the foreign guests.

Genadi was wasting no time as he crossed over to Queen Ælirn. "Your Imperial Majesty, I was hoping you'd do me the great honour of making every man here insanely jealous by joining me for the first dance. It's tradition that the Queen's family and household join in once the first verse has played, I'd be grateful if you'd allow me to dance with you." He kept his body bowed, his eyes at  Ælirn feet as he spoke.

Ælirn was busy watching everything going on the ballroom whilst chatting with her uncle and silently hoping that perhaps nobody at the ball would want to dance with her. She was sipping on a glass of water while her uncle had... something alcoholic, the Empress wasn't sure exactly what it was. She didn't know what the differences between alcohols were, and she didn't particularly care. Then she noticed Allan smirking, and she cocked his head at him, "What?"

"Good luuuck," he said simply, in a sing-songy voice and then walked away. As Ælirn's followed him with her eyes, she noticed Genadi walking over and a lump formed in her throat. Maybe he just wants to talk? she thought to herself, Yeah, he could just want to talk. Definitely. Just. Talk.

Then he opened his mouth, and Ælirn had to accept what she'd already really known. "Um, please stop that," she said as her face turned red, then she realised that could be misconstrued and words starting spilling out of her mouth, "The bowing! We mean the bowing. We're not your Empress and it's weird talking to someone who's just staring at your feet."

"But yes, of course," she said, managing a smile and extending her hand, "We would love to."

------

Prince Allan, meanwhile, was making his way across the ballroom, content that his niece wouldn't have too much trouble with the man. It was, after all, nothing more than a dance. But he was looking for someone to share a dance with himself, and as he scanned the crowds of Lodjains he set his eyes on Princess Anfisa. "Princess Anfisa," he said with a smile as he made his way over to the older woman, giving her a polite bow and gesturing to himself, "Prince Allan of Xæth. I would be more than honoured if you might, perhaps, give me the honour of sharing in this dance with you?"

Adelheid darted over to someone who finally seemed free, knowing he usually was around his own pet, but getting a couple of secodns to talk might jsut be enough.

"Lord Bessarian, a pleasure. Would you allow me the dance?" She smiled, her stance tall, holding his hand out for him to take:

"I think we might have some topics to talk about, if you don't mind."

Orion glanced across the room, most people where way to old or tall for him, often both. He did glance around familiar faces before he noticed a particular lad, somewhere around his own age, keep turning his head around whenever he passed.

Orion gave a glance to Albrecht, nodding with his head towards the boy who seemed watching him, before motioning a circle in his left palm with the right index finger. Albrecht gave him a quick thumbs up, before he would attempt to drag the young Lodjan off to the Dancefloor.

Albrecht was having a coffee, leaning back. He kept an eye on his Sister and Cousin mostly, though he was taking no measures to refuse any dance partners should they advance him.

"Well I suppose we should begin the dance, after all we need to acquire every small opportunity to have some fun, before Viktor finally returns to his rightful throne once more."

Rodrigo told Victoria, as they began to perform their steps on the dance floor, with those Lodjain Eyes staring on them from every angle and corner.

"Ah good, your cousin's son, he's finally here" Victoria whispered, with no further explanation as Rodrigo knew what it meant.

Prince Charles arrived at the scene, as other guests were now permitted to take part in the festivites and he'd wasted no time getting into the thick of it all. Grabbing a drink from a passing tray, he was carrying an exquisite gift meant for the Royal couple of Lodja. Charles made his to the main characters and presented himself, whilst falling to his knees. "Good Evening, I'm Prince Charles Gough-Petrov and am a relative to Prince Rodrigo here who acts as the current Regent of the Grand Principality whilst my father, Tsar Viktor Gough-Petrov is still recovering from the effects of severe stress. In any case the attention should rest upon thee and not on everyone else, including myself, and thus present another gift native to our country".

The Prince revealed a blue Fabergé Egg. One could describe them as a Kinder egg, but oh-so-much better than a Kinder egg, a Faberge egg often contains a surprise, and more often than not that surprise is even better than its container. It could be a clockwork toy or a miniature train, and always bejeweled to the Nth degree like the egg it sat in; The Prince himself didn't know what surprise lay in the egg, so hopefully the Family who made this egg perfectly knew what was appropriate.

After thanking and congratulatinf them, Charles walked slowly and 'inspected' the beautiful Lodjain women standing around, likely eager to dance with a foreign nobleman such as himself. "Would anyone care for a dance...?" he simply asked, stretching out his arm and hoping anyone would accept his offer.

"Yes Lady Tar." Emalet said, she glanced around it had taken her a little longer than she'd thought to find the Lodjan woman but that didn't change anything "This isn't a formal request or anything this is me tipping the wink to yourself given your endeavours in the field of scientific study you may have an interest in this, in a few weeks the Achkaerinese Senate will be updated on a piece of legislation called the 'Green Energy Transition Act' following the update several initiatives are going to be announced and opened up for interaction with interested parties. Given that Lodja has taken on a leading role in the climate change fight support of said initiatives from Lodja or indeed Lodjan parties would be of great value to us."

Peter meanwhile was sat at the table with the Achkaerinese flag on it, he didn't mind the few moments he was having to himself, he had a good drink and the calm was helpful for the moment, he was pleased that Jack would be able to spend some time in Lodja it was something Peter had wanted because it was a strong way of establishing a lasting relationship between Achkaerin and Lodja. All of this was part of Achkaerin's CD or Continuing Diplomacy program which was about forging and developing links with nations that Achkaerin had no ties with while also continuing to maintain ties where they already existed, the key to such a thing was of course understanding the country in question and as far as Lodja went that meant the nobility was key. He glanced around as he sipped his drink, Renee was in conversation with some locals who had apparently seen a few of her films, Esme was chatting away as well, now where were Jack and Cerys? Predictably on the dance floor and Jack seemed to have found the one Lodjan his age he actually knew to dance with and that was Alana.

"Shall we?" Renee asked, having now concluded her conversation with the Lodjan's she'd been speaking to
"Been a while since we did." Peter said "Come on." he took his wife's hand and led the way onto the dance floor.

Genadi was pleased that Ælirn had said yes, moments like this were well watched by those in the right circles within the royal court and Genadi may be the Queen's brother but it didn't automatically get him in the cool kids club but to be seen with an Empress on his arm would go a long way to making him look like a political heavyweight. He was no stranger to dancing, it was expected of a young nobleman to be able to dance well after all between the ages of 16-18 the rich and well connected youth spent regular evenings at such soirees making the right connections. "Thank you Your Imperial Majesty" Genadi said as he escorted her towards the dark wooden section of the ball room which signalled where the dance floor was. Others were preparing by standing around the edge as it would be expected that the Queen and her husband would begin things. Anfissa on the other hand wished her dancing days were over , she was delighted with her new appointment and was already in her head planning out the new temple that she'd build as soon as she got to East Moreland. "Of course" She offered her hand to the foreign Prince. "Although I do believe I'm now Priestess Anfisa not Princess" she smiled at the thought, "But don't worry" she said reassuringly as the pair made their way over towards where Genadi and the Empress stood.

The younger boy was slightly embarassed when Orion approached but it wasn't the done thing to refuse a foreign monarch and so he followed the young emperor. Besarian watched on with a slightly amused look, perhaps it was something contagious among monarchs. Meanwhile Adelheid had accosted him, he had hoped to snatch a dance with Jasmina but he suspected Lennox too would be on the prowl there and given a foreign guest or a local noble the Lady in Waiting would be duty bound to dance with the foreigner, but after all a young Princess didn't come along everyday. "Princess Adelheid" Besairan bowed as she addressed him. "It is not proper for a beauty and well connected lady such as yourself to be asking for a dance, after all I am confident that a whole Regiment of men would die for the oppurtunity to ask you" he was aware people would be listening and certain things were expected of the Lodjain nobility. "It is therefore me who should be asking you" he extended a hand and spoke loud enough for those around to hear, "Princess Adelheid would you care to give me the honour of a dance." As far as the locals would be concerned Besarian would have done the asking and therefore Adelheid's reputation in Lodja wouldn't be one of a woman begging for a dance. "As for conversation I'm always interested to talk with someone as well connected as you, what do you have in mind Your Highness." he said as they stood waiting for the dancing to begin.

With the arrival of Prince Charles there was a slight awkwardness the whole going onto a knee thing drew attention to what was supposed to be a private moment, the Queen however inspetced the egg thanking the Prince for the gift and smiling as the spinning ballerina inside (OOC -assuming thats OK), "Thank you and please enjoy the evening" the Queen said as Anna quickly headed towards the other room to place the egg with the other gifts which were being looked over by the various guests interested at the haul of presents the royals had been given. As Charles made his rather loud announcement however girls seemed to turn away as his arm was held out.

"No, no, no sir" a voice said from behind Charles. Duke Tobias Pelagiya approached arm in arm with his wife. "May I offer some cultural advice Your Highness" he said quietly, "It is not seemly for a woman to be seen to move to dance with a man, a gentleman is expected to approach the woman. It shows an appreciation for the lady rather than a "Come and get it"" he chuckled. "Now, follow me" he motioned with his head for the Prince to follow him as they weaved through the crowd. "Antonia" Tobias attracted the attention of a blonde haired woman chatting to several army officers. "It is my pleasure to present His Highness Prince Charles, I believe he has a question for you and asked me to make the introductions." Tobias turned patted Charles on the shoulder and whispered, "You're welcome" as he and his wife headed off his work done making sure a foreign royal hadn't been left dancing with some desperate young woman hearing a desperate plea for a dance partner, Antonia was well connected enough to be seen as of decent rank after all being the younger sister of Lord Besarian did carry a significant amount of prestige and she was also unlikely to say no considering the fact Charles was a Prince.

Helene meanwhile hadn't expected things to go towards business. "I'm not 100% sure what you think I can do, I don't even get invites to the Conclave anymore, my role in society is largely ceremonial and window dressing" she explained, "However if you think I can do something then I'd be open to suggestions" she added, it was difficult for the Tar family now, Alana may still be a Princess but her marriage had been cancelled and now she would no doubt become some kind of pawn in a power game at the time of Klara's choosing. Meanwhile the elder Tar's went back to running various estates and family businesses. Helene watched as her daughter wandered towards the dance floor with Jack and was fairly satisfied she'd at least look suitably partnered during the first dance.

"May I have this dance" Stasya turned as the familiar voice of King David came from behind her.

"Like you need to ask" she took hold of his hand, "We don't have to you know" she added, she knew David wasn't a keen dancer and that his back wasn't exactly happy about the dancing especially after he'd been stood for so long. "We could always just have a minute or two in the East Moreland booth" she motioned towards the silk closeted area reserved for the King.

"And have Lodja's most beautiful Lady not dancing" David kissed her on the cheek. "Beside I think I'd kind of be expected to, and if I wasn't dancing I think I'd be having to plan to beat off several young Lodjain officers who have been glancing your way and frankly I don't think my swordsmanship is quiet what it once was." The King admitted grudingly.

"Soon be Rhiannon kicking your ass then" Stasya teased him. "It's just a good job I like older men....I mean old men." she continued to tease him squeezing his arm as she did.

"You're cruel sometimes" David said as Stasya placed her arms around his neck.

"Yeah but you love me" she kissed him on the lips as she was thankfully aware of the room watching them.

Across the room Prince Lennox of Ui Cenneslaig took the oppurtunity of Besarian being ambushed to grab Jasmina. "We dancing then?" he asked her with a sly smile. It had been a few months since they'd last been together really as the Prince had at least had to make a show of mourning his wife following her apparent slip from the Palaces windows. Jasmina followed him towards the dance floor tongues wagging about the pair being together again and Besarian casting a slightly envious eye their way.

The band began to play the first song and the crowd parted to allow Klara and Leopold to make their way onto the dance floor. Klara was at home here and Leopold knew that she was likely to be much better at this than him, he'd witnessed her nimble steps in the gardens when she thought she was alone with her headphones on and he had to admit she was graceful when she put her mind to it. It had been watching he dancing one morning from his own bedroom window he'd realised just how elegant the young girl could be, even though he'd learned that often under he long dresses a pair of trainers was hidden. That had made him smile a lot and he wondered now if his Queen was wearing them or proper ball shoes. He carefully lifted the bottom of her dress and glanced down, a pair of silver coloured strappy heels. "Just checking" he whispered and the pair laughed.

"I'm planning on putting the Nike Air Jordans on when everyones drunk" she whispered back as she placed her arms around her husbands neck and he his arms around her waist. She was quiet a bit shorter than him but as the music began it became clear that she was the one really leading. Leopold wondered if that was a metaphor for what was to become of his life, would it now become one of duty and following what his Queen and wife said. He realised soon he wouldn't have her all to himself either but the future of his family name was assured and that was what mattered, get the first few kids out the way too and cement his legacy as the Lodjain King, the first they'd had in close to twenty years. As the first chorus of the song began the Ladies in Waiting joined the dance signalling it was now OK for the others to join them. Klara steered her husband towards the Morelander King and as the pair danced there way through the chorus she spun away from Leopold. "Forgive me Lady Stasya but I must borrow your partner, perhaps you could keep Leopold company" without waiting for a response Klara cut in with a well practiced motion. Dancing and the balls had been her passion and so she seamlessly swapped with Stasya and found herself with a rather surprised King David. The pair could sense eyes watching them around the dance floor it was highly unusual but with Klara that was becoming usual. "I wanted a chance to show people that I had not lost respect for you after refusing your petition earlier" she whispered, "This shows I hope the world that I value you and your friendship."

"Thank you" King David said as he awkwardly tried to guide Klara around the dancefloor feeling self concious of the eyes of the ball room watching him.  "I'm glad to know we've still got Lodja and your friendship" David said with genuine warmth.

"I will promise you I will think again on what you asked, it just would not be possible for the time being all things being considered, especially how I had to admonish you last year. A cultural faux pas so to speak......but it was funny." Klara laughed.

"It had me worried for a while too." David joined her. "Perhaps tomorrow we can find some time to discuss it" thankfully the music was ending and Klara nodded. "Now I suppose I should give the beautiful bride back to her lucky husband" David said loud enough for the crowds to hear as he took the Lodjain Queen's hand and passed it back to Leopold with a respectful nod towards the King. "King Leopold thank you for the loan of your wife." he added.

Leopold realised some politics had obviously been taking place and that the King of East Moreland was still in some kind of show mode, "and I thank you for allowing me to spend some time with Lady Staysa" he bowed to the Lady in Waiting, "I hope you two have an enjoyable evening." the couples parted as David took hold of Stasya's hand once more.

"I need a drink and a sit down" David said feeling the cramp in the small of his back.

"Or a massage?" Staya purred.

"That would be nice but I think it'd be rude if I was to disappear off with my Lodjain lover." the pair retreated to the East Moreland booth and sat with a drink watching the next set of dancing take place.

Brassicus looked over the ball room. He sat on the Cabbagelandetian table, waiting for Katarina and Peterhoff to come. He planned to see them before dancing with Alys, if he had the energy by then. He talked with Alys while waiting for the children.

"All these places in this... place sure are grand!" said Katarina, talking to Peterhoff and Cséynep while entering the ball room. "I do see a lack of hats though. No place is grand without hats." Peterhoff commented. "You and your bloody hats, Pete. Might as well stop being the heir to Cabbagelandiet and make yourself a Hatlandiet." said Cséynep, rolling her eyes at Peterhoff "Anyways, we should see your old man before we go off mingling with the Lodc- Lodz- Lodç-..." she paused a moment to try to remember how to spell "Lodjan". She gave up, as Cabbagelandetian didn't have the 'J' sound, nor did she know how to 'J'. After much thinking, Cséynep just gave up and blurted out "...Lodçalyalılar. Lanet olası Lodçalyalılar."[1] Peterhoff laughed "Hey, I think you just invented a way to say "Lodjan" in Cabbagelandetian. Congratulations Cséynep!".

Brassicus had noticed his fellow Cabbagelandetians and had been waving at them, hoping the three would notice him. After 5 minutes of waving his hands like a mad-man, the three noticed him and finally arrived at the Cabbagelandetian table. Cséynep shook hands with Brassicus and Alys, while Peterhoff and Katarina hugged their father.

"I see you have brought Ms. Alys along." said Peterhoff, proceeding to shake Alys' hands. "Anyways, I think I'll be off to find a partner!" said Peterhoff, quickly proceeding to leave the Cabbagelandetian table. He knew who he wanted, though hopefully the person he wanted to dance with was here. Peterhoff started searching around the ball room, trying to find Darya.

Katarina and Cséynep didn't really have a plan, so the two sat around, waiting for someone to offer them to join for dance.

 1. "Lodjans. Damned Lodjans." (In Cabbagelandetian)
Cabbagelandiet still lives on thine heart!

Orion hadn't thought this through, and the embarrassed bright Red in the boys face made this clear. He also couldn't help but realize that they boy was barely able to dance, fumbling around with his hands as hey reached the Dancefloor. Could it be he didn't even get Dance Lessons yet?

"Carefully, i'll dance the part of the Woman, Hands here..."

Orion helped the boy to properly grip above his own hips, guiding his hand up: "Watch now." He whispered in a hushed tone, taking care not to be seem embarrassed as the boy he picked up:

"Left food front, yes just like that. Shift your weight onto your left." Orion wrinkled his Fronthead:

"Now, right foot. Move it here..." He nodded to his own left foot: "And third step, slide your left foot to your right. Good."

Orion gave an encouraging smile: "Now, the other way. Right foot behind. then the left foot to where you started, right foot slide to the left. And then we repeat."

Orion couldn't help but notice his partner sweating, he knew the signs. He was about to flinch off and run from the situation. He grabbed his Dance Partner tight:

"I Know, i didn't want to embarrass you, just follow. We do about as well as expected from an Emperor and a young Man your Age."

He noticed the frown, then said: "Front, Side, Slide. Back, side, Slide. Just keep up, don't worry if you make a mistake. We aren't going to do swirling."

He kept guiding his Partner through, careful avoiding other Pairs:

"I'm sorry if i misread you. I had a feeling you had been looking at my behind whenever i passed. If you want you can take your time and sit with me and my Regent after the Dance..."

And once the Music died down, he would lead the other teen to Albrechts table, asking:

"Also, my apologies, but what is your name?"

Adelheid smiled: "I see, another Lodjan Costum i have to get used to, Lord Bessarian. Being in a Business kind of made me a bit more upfront, it's what my Fans expect of me."

Glancing over to Orion, she grinned: "Oh, the Puppy found himself a Toy. How cute. At least he isn't moping in a corner unless he gets dragged anymore."

They followed some rounds of the dance, while she explained:

"I am well aware you have your eyes set on someone, so do not worry. I do know that you have some siblings that are still unmarried...." She smiled very charmingly:

"I would very much appreciate you'd arrange me meeting one of them. It would be an ideal fit political wise for me, and very worthwhile for one of them. Alas, i do not seek to be married to a man i wouldn't love. The whole Imperial family has a little vacation in Lodja the next days even after the wedding. So maybe drop a hint to your Brothers there's someone they could get acquainted too?"

The dance came to an end, Adelheid nodded:

"I'll be making myself approachable for others now. I would not mind if one of your Brothers where among them." She chuckled:

"But no point in forcing anything. Just, try and see if any are interested."

Ælirn was more than happy to let Genadi lead the way, or at least as happy as she could conceivably be in this situation. In Xæth the women typically took the more dominant role, but Ælirn was not the most experienced individual in these sorts of things. When she saw her Uncle make his way over with Anfisa she involuntarily sighed; of course he'd make his way over with someone who was probably almost a decade his senior. But she quickly put that out of her head a she had other things to focus on, such as the man in front of her. The Empress was rather quiet, not entirely sure of what she would even say in a situation such as this. Or if she should even say anything at all; they were about to start dancing as she needed her concentration after all. Ælirn was not the best dancer; she knew enough to not embarrass herself too badly but she mostly knew dances native to her homeland and it was quite plain to see that she was not the most skilled nor experienced of dancers. But despite this and Ælirn's unease at the situation, it wasn't long before she found herself honestly enjoying herself as she and Genadi moved across the dancefloor.

"Well with Sessifet being a Goddess of Beauty, you seem to be a perfect fit," Allan said to Anfisa as the pair made their way over to Ælirn, the Prince smirking as he caught Ælirn's glances his way. The Prince was noticeably better at dancing than the Empress, having had both more practice and desire to partake in the activity to begin with. And he couldn't help but smile when he caught glances of his niece smiling with Genadi; it was always nice when she was able to get out there and actually enjoy herself. But he could be happy for her later, since Anfisa should be the more important of his focuses at the moment.

Eventually there came a lull and Allan decided it best to take a break from dancing. He quickly glanced around for Ælirn, only to smile as he noticed her still on the dancefloor. "The Prince had better know when to stop or Ælirn's going to dance them both to exhaustion," he said with a laugh, before smiling at Anfisa, "So, Priestess Anfisa. I must ask, what made a woman as fair as you decide to join the clergy? And why East Moreland? If it's not too personal of a question, that is."

This egg was actually mechanical in nature, so when the ballerina unveiled itself and began to spin, a musical note began to play. Prince Charles was equally surprised but relieved and happy over the choice these craftsmen picked, they were the experts after all. It was an old Krimeonite nursery rhyme which originated from the Royal Court and managed to spread itself famously all over the tiny country; it gained such an affection that it became later a sophisticated song to play during balls and what not. The Prince slumbered into some type of slumber, still enchanted by its sound ever since his mother sang it to him and his sisters when they were all younger, like all other Krimeonite kids. It was only when the ballerina stopped spinning that the Music died and he could snap out of it. "Thank you, Your Majesty. May you continue enjoying this evening as well."

Things did become awkward though when the Prince attempted to gain a dance partner, which seemingly went the opposite direction at first; Charles clearly was a bit rusty at this sort of thing, it was a while since he participated in these events even if he was schooled at a Young age. Nevertheless his newly found friend Duke Tobias Pelagiya helped direct him to one, whilst offering well-needed advice. The Duke gave him a pat on the shoulder which made the Krimeonite's face turn red for a few seconds.

As the Pelagiya couple passed by Prince Rodrigo and Princess Victoria, the former gave the Duke a pat on the shoulder as well, mouthing a "thank you" in the process, before he giggled a bit with his beloved as they continued with their dancing charade.

Now with the opportunity presented in front of him, Charles took a good look at Lady Antonia and by damn, she truly was made of the perfect material, he thought. The Lodjains may have forsaken their Slavic culture in thepast and Went with something different, but they were ethnically Slavs like the Krimeonites. What all Slavs had in common was their exquisite women, and Lady Antonia was no exception at all; wearing a matching dress, she truly looked as if she was one of Sessifets divine daughters.

"Lady Antonia Ivanov, once more I'm Prince Charles of Krimeon and was wondering if you'd care for a dance?" he asked, hoping for the best.

Gavriil was a little self concious of dancing with Orion, it wasn't that homosexuality was frowned upon in Lodja, it was just not the done thing for two members of the same gender to dance together in the manner of the ball. It would however been unwise to refuse and so even though he was aware that they were being watched he did his best to listen to Orions instructions. Following the end of the music he introduced himself properly, he was the son of one of the Sheriffs of Lodja, a title given to lower ranking nobles or to help tie people to a particular area. In the past the Sheriffs had been responsible for tax collection and carrying out the judgements of courts but that responsibility had all but gone now, only some ceremonial duties were expected to be performed but the title owners were still respected in their local communities. "I would be more than happy to talk" he said as he followed Orion.

Meanwhile across the dancefloor Besarian was engaging Adelheid in small talk as his eyes scanned the crowd. "Makar" Besarian spotted his youngest brother and motioned for him to come over, he saw the army uniformed sibling shake hands with the gentleman he was speaking with before heading over. "Makar, I'd like to introduce the very beautiful and very single Princess Adelheid" he patted his brother on the shoulder before bowing gracefully to Adelheid and heading off into the crowd. Makar was wearing his military uniform and now bowed himself. "Your Highness would you care to dance?" he asked unstrapping his sword and with a flick of his fingers waving a steward across. "Please take care of this" he casually tossed the sword to the man who nodded and then extended his arm to the Princess guiding them onto the dancefloor. "So forgive me for asking, but a young Princess such as yourself would be seen as a rare and valuable commodity here in Lodja and would literally be beating off suitors with a stick, why do you need my brother to play matchmaker.....not that I'm complaining?"

Darya had just finished dancing with some naval officer when she spotted Peterhoff, "Ah, nice to see you" she greeted Peter remembering him from his time at University. "How are you finding the party? Wonderful isn't it?" she smiled, another young gentleman approached her, "I'm sorry Sergi" she said sounding very ungenuine, the boy was the youngest son of a really minor noble, she didn't like him much but the family where technically like clients of their family and so it would be good manners to have danced with him. "This gentleman here is the son of the leader of Cabbagelandiet and he seemingly wants to spend some time catching up, I'm sorry but you understand it wouldn't be good manners to not dance with him. Maybe tommorrow" She pouted at the disappointed Sergi and headed towards the dancefloor with Peterhoff, "You may have saved me from a lifetime of broken toes" she giggled, "The guy can't dance to save his life and that's being generous" she added as she waited for Peterhoff to take position and begin dancing.

Anfisa thought about Allan's question for a while. "I know any man who wishes to marry me will do so because I'm the grand-daughter of Queen Sonja, so rather than be some kind of trophy for  an ambitious man I'll work for the Goddess. It may be something I do for the rest of my life, or just a few years, we'll see." she shrugged her shoulders. "And we choose East Moreland for several reasons. Their a nation we have good relations with, the Pelagiya family is high influential here in Lodja and Duke Tobias is the envoy to Alba Karinya basing himself in Northfort, so it means we've a high profile friendly face at hand. Then finally the King of East Moreland is unlikley to say no, he's desperate to get into Queen Klara's good books after embarassing her last year and of course at some point he's likely to be asking her for the hand of Lady Stasya if the media are correct. So of course he'd let us build a Temple there." she didn't really like international politics it was another reason she was looking forward to rejoining the Priesthood. "Of course we'd be happy to build one in your homeland too if you thought we'd be welcome" she figured why not try and put some ground work in for her new faith. "How religiously liberal are your people?" she asked as a follow up.

Having been introduced to Prince Charles Antonia accepted his arm and moved with him towards the dancefloor. "So I assume you either want some information on my brother, want to make some kind of statement or the Pelagiyas are trying to keep you sweet?" she asked rather icely, most of her life she'd been surrounded by such dealing especially since her brother had become Lord of the Conclave. "So where in the pecking order do you sit back home?" she enquired.

As people danced, socialised and networked two military uniformed individuals entered the room and searched the dance floor and seated areas, a steward who was serving drinks approached them and exchanged words before the two men headed off in different directions. One was wearing the Red Legion uniform minus the polished silver breastplate and helmet. Liutenenant Rowe hadn't been with the Legion long but crossed the ball room with the confidence of someone who was used to these kind of social occasions. He was aware of eyes following him as he headed over to the silk booth where King David and Lady Stasya were sitting. "Your Majesty you asked for me to come and tell your personally of any developments." He began after saluting.

"Yes Lieutenenat" The King said, "Stasya could you go grab me a glass of whiskey, ask Lennox for some, I'm sure he's got some good stuff." David turned to the Lodjian Lady in Waiting, "Thank you" he added as she kissed him on the cheek and headed across the ball room, Rowe bowing respectfully as she left. "Please take a seat" the Red Legionnaire sat down as requested and began briefing the King as across the room a similar conversation was taking place between the Lodjain officer and Lubos Kubik the giant Minister hugged his officer glanced over at King David and gestured a silent round of applause. David merely raised a wine glass in salute. The two officers continued speaking with their senior for a good few minutes before David motioned Lubos to come over just as Stasya returned with a glass of whiskey. "Ah, erm....could I ask for just a few more minutes" he smiled at Stasya.

"Well don't blame me if I've been whisked off my feet by some handsome younger nobleman who can keep up with me." she teased as he headed off again. The Minister and King sat and chatted for a moment or two joined by their officers. They shook hands in agreement and stood, the King turned round to Rowe.

"Rowe, I'm sure you'd be more than welcome to stay, have a few drinks and some food. Thank you" the King patted him on the back as he and Lubos headed off. Rowe wasn't one to need asking twice. His father had been a high ranking military officer in East Moreland and he'd gone to various Private Schools and he always enjoyed occasions like this. He helped himself to a glass of wine from a passing tray and then headed off to do a lap of the room, he spotted Katarina and Cséynep sat not dancing, "Ladies" he gave a brief respectful bow, "I'm Lieutenant Tristain Rowe from East Moreland" he explained, "I was wondering if I could either join you for a drink, or perhaps if either of you cares to dance?" he asked.

Across at Queen Klara's silken booth Lubos and King David arrived together. "Your Majesty" the Minister began, "We have something we need to tell you, I think it'll be something you'd prefer to know rather than wait." The Queen looked nervous and gestured for them to sit. "I'll let King David explain."

"Klara" David was smiling, "I think perhaps this can be considered a new wedding present" He saw the young Queen relax slightly, "Twenty minutes ago my officer over there got confirmation that Operation Jailbreak was a success. Yesterday morning we got a tip off thanks to some Lodjain intelligence service intercepts of the position of Lady Anna Utkin, acting on that Red Legion effected a rescue attempt, they've got her." He said proudly, apart from a few bumps and bruisers she's in good condition.

Klara couldn't help but give a little clap. "This is great news, we'd given up hope of finding her." she admitted. The Social Affairs Minister had been kidnapped and put on a show-trial by the Borlanders, they'd never expected to see her again. The Queen in a very unregal like manner hurried across the dancefoor, motioned for the band to stop and took the microphone. "Everyone, I have wonderous news, Lady Anna Utkin has been freed, she's safe and coming home." There was a loud cheer, several nobles who were friends of hers hugged and a few began crying tears of joy. "Our wonderful intelligence services and East Moreland's Red Legion are bringing her home." Klara picked up a very large looking wine glass that was filled, "To Lady Anna" she raised a toast and then proceeded to drink the whole thing down in one go. "Now play something gloriously happy" Klara ordered the band who did so immediately, without her husband Klara almost seemed to jump down off the stage and began dancing all on her own.

Charles, trying to act humble and courteous as possible, wasn't at all offended by such questioning and instead gave off a little smile as the pair started with some initial dance moves, just to check whether the partner got the dance rythm within. "I could possibly play along the usual lines of having a specific agenda, but I consider myself well-versed about who your brother is and what's he capable of. I don't actually have any kind of idea as to what I'd like to state, except sincerely commenting on how beautiful you look this evening; I salute to whoever designed your dress. Lastly, I never asked for anything from anyone, including the Pelagiyas who were kind enough to remind me of the courtly etiquette, thankfully. The Duke simply directed me towards you, and here we are both of us, dancing like everyone us and celebrating the grandeur of two weddings and to the continued successes of the Divine Majesty. All in all, I'm here to relax, have a bit of fun and getting to know knew individuals whom I've never met before, and I'm honored to be having this dance with your presence" he said.

"In terms of a pecking order in Krimeon, I'm currently second in line to the Tsarist throne, the first being my sister Princess Elizabeth. She'll be the first Tsarina we haven't had for quite a long time now, as a matter of fact, so it'll be interesting to see. There are those who see an advantage being in the first chain of command, others see it in the last, in terms of siblings that is. However, what about being in second command, has anyone ever thought about that or simply forgotten all about it? As in each and every role we're playing as, there are certain angles and view points that we can gain access to and others not. Forgive me for my overenjoyed enthusiasm, but it's fascinating once you think and discuss about it, no? In any case, I could ask the same about you, I know for a fact that Lord Besarian's younger sister, but what kind of role do you perceive being as?" Charles asked.

Allan listened to Anfisa explanation with interest, more so the answer as to why she became a priestess and less why East Moreland was chosen. If he was to be honest, international politics wasn't something that he was particularly interested in himself. And her explanation sort of echoed his own eventual fate; of course unlike her he'd eventually welcome such a fate. "Well you're far more ambitious than I, I must say," he said with a smile, "I am merely waiting to find a woman who catches my fancy as much as I catch hers."

Though at her questions about Xæth, he paused for a moment as he pursed his lips in thought. "Religiously liberal? That's a bit complicated, I have to say," he said as he tried to figure out how to phrase his next words, as he was hardly a religious man, "I'm not expert, but we're not like those Christians and the like. You ask a religious Xæthoon if they believe in Sessifet or Helus or even Jesus, and they're going to say 'of course!'. But they're... They're not our Gods. I mean, you'd have to ask my niece about it to be sure, but I imagine most people wouldn't be happy with it. A lot of us probably think that Xæth is a place for Xæthoon temples to Xæthoon gods."

------

Ælirn hadn't stopped dancing with Genadi since the pair had begun, so when Queen Klara interrupted to give her announcement it was the first break she had had. With the news of Lady Utkin's release, Ælirn was amongst those cheering. She wasn't the most familiar with the situation, and certainly had less of a connection to the Lodjain than almost everyone else present. But a woman being rescued from terrorists whom everyone expected to have executed her was wondrous news regardless. Though now that she had stopped for a moment, she was starting to realized that she was beginning to tire and that it was, perhaps, best if she took a short break befoe returning to the dance floor.

"Perhaps it would be best if we were to take a short break?" she said to Genadi quickly, before the band began back up again and they were swept up into another dance. She couldn't find Allan with a quick glance so she made her way over to her silken booth, grabbing a glass of water somewhere along the way. "So, would you care to join me?" she asked Genadi, gesturing at the booth; she was under the impression that just dancing and then ditching the Queen borher would've been in rather poor taste, but she wasn't really sure what to say either.

"So, it must be interesting being the Queen's brother," she said as it was the first thing that popped into her head.

"I'd say i'm simply a headstrong woman. Nor do i like waiting for an opportunity, i make one."

Adelheid would allow Makar to dance with her a little, before picking up the conversation again: "I'm a single woman, my potential future children will never inherit the throne. I already work to ensure that my legacy will have monetary value, building a fashion show, a company and a brand. But it's time i find myself a suitable Partner."

She allowed the music to take them a couple steps further, keeping a warm and soft smile: "You seem to be a man in a very interesting position. You are a noble, but not of your Brothers status. We both are nobles who will fade out of importance if we don't do something about ti ourselves. I wish to get to know you better, it is impossible to say if we two might get along from the presets."

She twirled a little more, nodding: "And since the imperial family stays a little in Lodja after the wedding, we might have some time to get to know each other. And let's be fair, even if nothing comes of it. It should help us both to be seen in important company."

as the music died down, she nodded:

"So, mind if we had a more casual meeting? Maybe even tomorrow during the wedding? If not, i am sure we might have a chance during the rest of the week."

Orion had a servant bring himself some sparkling wine over, with Albrecht giving him a look that spelled 'You're in trouble now.' as he seated down Gavril:

"Want some?" he said as he ahd the Glasses put down: "How old are you? By now i'm fourteen, and yes i know i'm a little bit of a runt for my age.." Orion smiled shy, looking sideways.

Albrecht chuckled, leaning back: "Don't mind me young man, i'm just the Watchdog." leaning back, he wondered how this would unfold.

Orion rolled his eyes: "We are staying in Lodja for a couple of days, if you want you might accompany us for a little. Though word of warning. It's not official, but almost all of my Nieces and Nephews are here as well. We're having a bit of a family vacation tied to the Wedding." he twirled the glass in his hand, though under Albrechts glaring gaze he put it back down.

"Only if you like though. I mean I can't marry anyone of my choice later on anyway, doesn't mean i don't get to know people."

He twiddled nervous with his thumbs: "I probably didn't think this through..."

"No, you didn't" Albrecht mused, chuckling: "But you two where adorable to watch."

Antonia had grown up around the social scene of Lodja, it came with the territory of being an Ivanov and even more so once her brother Besarian had climbed to the very top of the social hierachy, the only way he could have got higher was by marrying the Queen but then he'd lose much of his politican authority. In many ways Lord Besarian was the power behind the throne and that as such had made Antonia a valued commodity. She'd had many men go and see her brother about marriage but between them they'd kept the carrots dangling and Antonia remained unmarried giving her brother a nice little bargaining chip and herself the ability to go out and have fun. "My role Your Highness is simple. I support the Ivanov family as best I can, I advance it when I can, defend it when I need to, and ensure that it remains respected. Be that through my dealings running a few projects for my brother, finding new oppurtunities, or even the company I keep" she smiled at the Prince. "You see here the first sons and daughters in families tend to inherit everything but they are expected to take care of their younger siblings as such Besarian knows my value and I know if I keep it high I'll live a happy life of enjoyment, excitement and endeavour." she stopped dancing as the announcement was made about Anna Utkin's rescue. "Damn Pleb back on the Conclave then" she shook her head, the Social Affaris Minister had married into society rather than being born and as such she had often been looked down upon by many Partirican families including the Ivanovs. As the music restarted she spotted the Queen dancing alone in a trance like state. "I sometimes think this is the problem having teenagers as Queen" she shook her head disapprovingly, " I'm glad she's married an older man, hopefully Leopold will be a good influence on her, the first child will make her grow up." she realised she was going on a little. "I assume your staying for Wedding Number Two?" she asked.

Anfisa thought it was probably not a good idea to continue pushing the temple idea with Allan. After all he didn't seem that interested and by his own admission he wasn't ambitious, except in finding a wife. "Well Your Highness is in the right place. Our faith would tell us we're the descendents of Sessifet in some ways and as such blessed with her beauty." she laughed louder than she thought. "Truth be told though we place a high priority on beauty in all things. Look at a Lodjain garden and its pruned to perfection, lawns mowed to precision. A Lodjain home is full of beautiful objects, even the poorest Pleb will adorn their simple home with what artwork they can get hold of, we value poetry. Physical beauty of a man or woman is a sign they are massively blessed by Sessifet and of course the hair, make up and beauty industries do a roaring trade here" she grinned. "Some would argue we are shallow as a nation but thats OK I guess as it means we're peaceful and caring. I'll take that anyday. In terms of you trying to find a bride you need to start attending Lodjain social events, trust me once you become a regular you'll need a stick to beat the girls away with......some men too" she chuckled spotting Orion sat talking with the boy he'd been dancing with.

Genadi used the break of the announcement of Lady Anna Utkin's rescue as the cue for taking a seat, he guided Ælirn back towards her nations silken booth and took a seat waving a steward over. "Two vodka martini's" he ordered before looking at Ælirn, "Oh, I forgot to ask if you drink booze?" he waited for her to either correct the order and give her OK. He was aware of the various people looking, only those directly in front of the fabric enclosed booth could see the pair as they were sat, being seen to sit there was something that would create a kind of buzz in Lodjain society and that was what he'd wanted, that and it would maybe keep him in his sister's good book. "As for being the Queen's brother its an experience I'm still learning" he sighed, "In some ways its great, I get to live in a Palace, we have a great life here, I can get away with doing nothing other than turn up at events if I wanted. I mean I had dreamt of designing racing cars before my sister got this job, but now everywhere I go I've got masses of security around me and everyone would just say I got the job because of Klara. I'm currently a boat without a rubber unless Klara takes control." He managed a smile as his drink appeared. "On the plus side I get to meet and speak with charming women like yourself. I suspect in many ways we're both prisoners of circumstances." his mood seemed to lift as he held his drink aloft, "To being prisoners" he proposed a toast, clinked his glass with Ælirn before taking a drink. "Don't tell my sister, and definatly not my father" he lowered his voice, "But I prefer beer" he whispered with a cheeky grin, beer was considered what the Plebs drank while the sophisticated Patricians drank wine and spirits and beautifully presented cocktails. "Do you intend to stay for Day Two?" he asked.

Makar picked up the dancing again after the rescue announcemen, "Well its a day of good news" he said to Adelheid, "Now if your looking to get noticed remember in Lodja gossip and rumour is far more effective than your social media" He noticed various people already pointing and nudging each other taking note of who a foreign Princess was dancing with. "Things like this" he slid his hand down from her waist to rest it on her backside as they danced, "Are the currency of attention." he lightly rested his hand on her butt as they continued to dance. "As for tomorrow, aye I'll be there, and if you want to set tongue wagging further I'll be wearing my black dress uniform, red flashings, couples tend to try and dress to match each other here in Lodja, I suspect a lady with your fashion knowledge knew that anyway" he added. "Actually if you want to really create a buzz I could pick you up? That is unless you've other plans." He thought his brother would probably be proud of his manouvering.

Meanwhile Gavril was not so confident. He was a year older than the Emperor and as such hadn't yet bee launched on the social scene so to speak, that would come next year and he suspected somewhere his parents would be watching, slightly disappointed he wouldn't ever have children but accepting of him when he'd come out several months ago. "I...I don't drink." he mumbled slightly, unnerved by Albrecht joining them. He hadn't expected to spend time with an Emperor yet alone having a chaperone. For the Emperor then to start explaining about marriage Gavril felt his mouth dry up. "I, well I.....I'll be at the wedding tomorrow. Wil you? Of course you will" Gavril looked down nervously at his shoes as though telling himself off. Thankfully a familiar face came over. "Anna." Gavril said rather loudly than he thought he would have.

"That's Lady Anna to you" she said in a friendly manner. "Mind if I sit down." she waited for the Emperor's permission before taking a seat. "I'm Gavril here's auntie" she put a rather motherly arm around him. "His father is my brother Sven" she said, "I spotted you two dancing and just thought I'd come over and say how nice it is to see the pair of you enjoying yourselves." she had spotted Gavril's nervousness and was trying to help out. "I understand you're Imperial Majesty is staying on in Lodja for a while after. If so perhaps you'd care to make use of my wing of the Immich family home in Anker?" She offered, the large house had 18 bedrooms in two wings, she had the east wing her brother the west, her half was largely never used her duties as Lady in Waiting keeping her in Gaia. "It'd give you chance to explore the city that in my opinion not enough Lodjains see let alone tourists, and of course Gavril could be your tour guide." Anna winked at her nephew reassuring him no one was judging him.

"If you'd like.....Your Imp..Imperial Majesty" Gavril offered feeling a little more confident. "Perhaps we could discuss what you'd like to do tomorrow at the 2nd wedding?"

The evening was drawing to a close, there was of course the great delight of the rescue that had seen an injection of extra cheeriness to the proceedings. Stasya and David spent much of the rest of the night cosying up to each other in their booth with the odd visit from various people keen to have a chat with King David. It became a little tiresome and so as the band announced they had one more song to play the King strecthed his legs and stood offering a hand to Stasya, "One last lap?" he asked.

"Gods you sound ancient.....its a good job I love older men." She smiled accepting his hand and following him to the dancefloor. "OK, one older man" she kissed him as they began to dance. Around them once more the floor filled to capacity as couples took the chance for one last romantic slow turn around the polished floor, meanwhile those who hadn't partnered up took one last roll of the dice. Even before the music finished however a group of the Palace's staff entered the hall making a din over the music, they were clanging pots and pans together. The female staff peeled off and grabbed gently hold of the Queen as she was dancing with her husband, they easily lifted the delicate Queen onto their shoulders and began carrying her from the room to applause by the Lodjains, David smiled remembering the same happening at Queen Viktoria's wedding though on that occasion the Queen didn't seem as happy as Klara did. The male staff headed to King Leopold who laughed as they struggled to heft him above their heads and carry him horizontially from the ball room, groups of nobles whooped after them cheering and singing a song about making babies. "If we marry don't worry I'll make sure the Red Legionnaires don't drop you." Stasya rested her head on David's chest.

"When we get married" David corrected her quietly, "Beside I'd hope by then your secret would be out." he whispered, "A proper Cultist wedding" he pulled her closer as the song ended. "So your place or mine?" David asked as the pair headed for the door as the room began to empty. Other couples began leaving, Besarian looking rather disappointed as Jasmina left with Prince Lennox. He picked up a half finished bottle of vodka, found something amusing and headed back towards his own rooms. Those not given rooms on the Isle began making their way down to the dockside where motorised boats waited to ferry them back to the mainland. Finance Minister Dragan Kznevic however made a pit stop at the Pleb's pub at the foot of the hill as he waited for his boat, that turned out to be a mistake as he found himself in a rather rowdy dance with a rather pretty red head and would wake up the next morning in the wrong place with minimal time to get home, get changed and off to the wedding that would take place in Gaia rather than on the island. As he came too in the morning in a small stone built cottage he wondered if everyone else had the banging headache he had and what gossip of couples pairing up for the evening would go around.

Klara woke up entwined in the arms of Leopold, she looked at him as he snored, not the most romantic start to married life. It had seemed strange, Leopold was not her choice for husband, she'd married out of a sense of duty rather than love but now he would share her bed. She looked down at her phone, Roksana was already a wake and had messaged her, "If your half as nervous as me we're in trouble" the Lady in Waiting had texted.

"It's a piece of cake. x x" Klara texted back aware that preparations in Gaia's old market square would be underway, the ceremony slightly different in a few religious ways but more accessable to the public, while a few hundred select guests had made the Isle the streets of Gaia would be a street party. Even now communities came out setting up flags, long tables on which each family placed food. Big screens would relay the wedding around the city, the country and maybe even the world. Klara had requested people dress more casually today, unless of course a member of the wedding party. She looked over to where Leopolds clothes for the day, a smart pair of light trousers, a pale blue shirt and dark sweater were laid out, Klara had choosen them for him, posted them on his instagram so people had some kind of measuring stick. Meanwhile she looked at the pale blue and gold dress she'd wear this day, the knight riding horse emblemn of the Pajari family twinkled in gold thread as the early morning light filtered through the curtains. It was soon going to be time to do it all over again.
