"Thank you, I think you know how much I appreciate it when my audience expresses their opinion on my performance…" Rodrigo replied, as he grabbed a few sandwiches on his plate whilst pouring some tea and coffee for himself and the others. "...There are those who say that it becomes easier in life, whilst there's the crowd who puts it on the opposite side of the spectrum. I still can't decide which of those notions is the truth, perhaps it's in-between or not even there? Even as a 72 yr old I haven't got a clue still, surprising isn't it? I guess that's how life works, the answers pop up as they please whenever they want to, no matter how hard one tries to search for them. I mean, in a way I suppose when we were younger we had the chance to pay a visit or two every year, and now our kids have the privilege to do so if they wanted." Rodrigo said, as he leaned closer to whisper in Heloise's ear.
"My beloved cousin, I would appreciate it if we could talk business and such in my private study room a bit later, and leave it out from the tea party", the old monarch simply suggested with a smile.
"Excuse me? I could the same thing about this so-called 'coffee' which is more like stale water, Jor." Victoria chuckled as she gave a dunk on Jorman's back. "But then again I guess both of us have to endure something that doesn't directly appear on our daily rythm? In any case, it has been indeed a while since we've had our encounters, and what else is there to add to such notion? I'm not sure if there has been a lot of change within our lives, Krimeon's always evolving however, from the infrastructure to the various kinds of peoples inhabiting this city and newer lot immigrating in the hopes of acquiring a better life for themselves and their descendants, same old vibrant tale I suppose." she replied, sipping on that Huiss coffee.
"Oh Joh, such a tough question. Nah, not really but Madeleine, Charles and I have been pretty busy lately in the 'Princely Foundation', it's pretty much a portfolio of private companies, museums, and art collections if you remember, Basically a multitude of investments including pampering the shit out of right-wing politicians here and there, selling our prized books that Papa and Mama write." Elizabeth said firstly as she munched on a chicken sandwich and washing it all down with tea.
"One might think that it would be boring working in a family company, at least all three of us thought so, but it has definitely given us to work closely with the Krimeonite citizens in a multitude of ways possible, as well as opening up our horizons to perspectives we've never thought was possible before; many different investments brings of course a wide portfolio but also the chance to meet quirky personalities and such. Oops, have I been philosophising again?" the sisters chuckled.
"Damn Joh, you've been working out a lot lately I see, nice!" Elizabeth commented as she and the younger sister touched and felt Johanna's shoulders and arms. "Looks like Em's been having some of that as well." Madeleine said as she took a clove of grapes and picked them one by one in the process, noticing how Charles was kinda close to Emille. "So reveal to us your usual routines in the gym..." she asked curiously. "We've forced Charlie to do some yoga and pilates, and oh my gosh how tense he was at first, couldn't move a muscle but now it's much better. Remember when he used to be plump in his younger days? Changing his diet helped as well immensely, he doesn't stuff himself with a lot of Krimenoite 'crap' like pizzas and fries." she laughed.
"Not sure what you're insuniating about Em, a date with your cousin? What on earth are you thinking hehe?" he replied in a humourous fashion as he offered to pour some more tea or coffee. "But I'll gladly take you on dinner and a movie, perhaps with my pals if you'd like? You're after all here on holiday and it's up to the visitor's wishes that their commands shall be obeyed", Charles said. Em's an intelligent creature such as himself naturally, perhaps he would need to be patient in order to break her psychological barrier, he had to try again until it wasn't possible, naturally. "So...I'll go ahead with the generic question such as...How are you faring back in the Gough HQ?".
