The two Regents have today confirmed that they are extending the Empire's Protection Laws. These laws were a series of rules that were brought in following the armed rebellion in Rosignano in 1990. The rules governed several aspects of life within the Empire including gun-laws, proscribed organisations and military service. It had been expected that the rules would have only lasted a short amount of time however 30 years later they are not only still in place but they have just been amended to extend their reach. The announcement came just after midday and will see the following implimented.

1. Gun ownership will no longer be permitted at the age of 21 but rather at the age 25 unless the individual has prior military service. Licences will still be granted in the same way meaning so long as you have a signed doctors certificate, can prove you have secure storage for your weapon and complete a Shooting Safety course you may buy weapons.

2. Individuals will be limited to three weapons. This reduces the number by one.

3. National Service will be extended to all six provinces. Currently only those born in the Imperial governed provinces had to complete National Service. This had lead to some mothers crossing provincial borders to give birth meaning their child would be exempt. Additionally service is extended from 12 to 18 months. Another significant change is an increase in the number of exemptions such as additions to key jobs lists and medical conditions.

4. National ID cards will now be issued at the age of 14 and not 18. It will be a criminal offence when requested to do so by a member of the Police or Military Police to not present your ID Card. This shall be punishable by up to 6 months in prison and a $1000 fine for the first offence.

5. In order to operate an aerial drone weighing more than 1kg it must be registered and an individual must have undertaken a recognised piloting course. Previously there had been no restrictions on the use of drones within the nation.

Prince Lorenzo confirmed that it was felt that as the nation was preparing to look beyond its "Imperial sphere" that there would be oppurtunities for "outsiders who wish to do us harm" to take root in the nation. It was therefore felt by the two regents that a tightening of certain laws would ensure the safety of the nation to a greater degree. It was also confirmed that the Princess  Brigida fully supported all measures and had he been needed to confirm or deny the new laws Imperial Chancellor Duke Basilio would have also voted in their favour.

Those aged between 21-25 who already own guns may maintain the ownership however will not be permitted to buy new weapons until they reach the age of 25. Anyone owning more than three weapons will be given six months to prove that they have reduced the number that they own. To aid in this process several gun clubs across the nation are offering schemes were they will buy excess weapons. As it was realised it will take time to issue the new ID cards to those aged between 14 and 18 this law will not fully come into force until September 1st however anyone suspected of being over the age of 18 and unable to produce their ID card will be dealt with by the Police until that date by being taken to their home address and made to prove their identity or imprisoned until their identity is confirmed. The government admitted it may be more difficult to enforce the new drone rules as to date no register of sales of the devices exists. From Monday the 13th April 2020 however all stores must only sell drones with a national ID card and will record the name and address of the purchaser.

Following today's meeting of the Imperial Council headed by Princess Brigida it has been decieded to send members of the Imperial Carabinieri, the nations Military Police Force, towards the border with Merina. The decision was made after the Chief of Police in The Principality of Rosignano believed he needed support to ensure "stability" in the region. The area has seen the Police trying to ensure that the various factions within Merina do not illegally cross the border while also attempting to carry out their day to day duties. It was believed that by bringing the Imperial Carabinieri into the region they would be able to carry out the task of border policing freeing up the regular police to carry out their traditional tasks. The move however was not welcomed by all the residents of Rosignano as the Mayor of the town Cecina complained saying, "The Carbinieri have a reputation for what I will call rather stern methods. They are not likely to confine themselves to just policing the border and I think people will be on edge." This was however refuted by the detachments commander, Major Ricardo Patin who was quick to respond to the Mayor's criticism, "The Carabinieri enforce Imperial Law and Imperial Law only. Should you be someone breaking that law then of course we will exercise the full might of our authority to bring you to justice. If you maintain Imperial Law then naturally we are your friends."

Prince Lorenzo has also not ruled out the Aostan Military becoming involved. He has shown concern that a major multi-sided conflict could create in neighbouring Merina a cycle of war similar to that the Empire experienced for several hundred years. As the Kingdom of Ascota forged itself into the Empire it is today it experienced constant warfare with the sides regularly changing between the six provinces until finally being forged into a single Empire. The Prince stated that he hoped Merina must learn from these mistakes, "Our people learned the hard way that only by uniting under a common banner can you truly find strength. Hundreds of thousands if not tens of millions had died during our nations long and bloody history. Its something I urge the people of our Northern neighbours to learn from." It is rumoured that the Council of Albion may be about to make a statement on the issue however Prince Lorenzo is not so sure about the role Aosta would play in any intervention. "We've been busy for a long time ensuring our own stability. Perhaps Merina and Albion aren't ready for our involvement. The Council of Albion is perhaps a noble idea but we're yet to see it in practice. Perhaps how they approach this crisis may see us join but we'll work that out as we go."

Prince Lorenzo today made his way to Rosignano to inspect the work being done by the Imperial Carabinieri who are presently stationed there patrolling the border with Merina. The Prince spoke about the situation there as well as about another neighbour namely the Queendom of Lodja. It was reported recently in their media that their Queen had given birth to a new son, Prince Isaac. While the Empire and Lodja lack a real strong friendship the Prince was keen to show his support to a fellow monarch. The Prince spoke from the local police barracks saying to Queen Klara, "I would like to pass on our best wishes on to Queen Klara and her husband on the birth of their first child. I wish your son health, a long life and every happiness." The Prince would not be drawn on whether there would be a formal meeting between the two nations in the near future but said, "We are focusing on securing this Norhern border and then we will explore continental co-operation and maybe wider afield."

During the Prince's inspection the Carabinieri arrested two Aostans who were seemingly trying to cross the border. Both were suspected of crossing in order to engage in either human trafficing or arms dealing. The pair were taken to the police barracks in Cecina where they were charged with "aiding a foreign nation engaged in a war damaging to Aostan interests" the exact nature of the charges was not released nor where their names. The crime is considered just a step below treason and if they are found guilty they could face the death penalty.

It was announced today by Prince Lorenzo Tornincasa that the nation is intending to change some of its key economic policies. One of the first changes is what the government are calling the Strait of Shaw Tarrif Modifier (SSTM). This will see goods entering Aosta through Western ports have all import tariffs removed as long as two conditions are meet. The first condition is that the goods originated in any nation that has a GDP per capita of $10,500 or less. The motive behind this was to allow goods, predominantly raw materials, to be imported into Aosta at a cheaper price from nations whose economy is perhaps in more need of being able to easily access overseas markets. The second condition is that Aostan are granted reduced tariffs with the nation in question. The policy requires nations recieving the reduced tariffs to ensure any tariffs on Aostan goods are lower than nations not offering concessions excluding those with which the nation in question has treaty obligations. For example should Waddan wish to import goods to Aosta they would be permitted as their nation has one of, if not the lowest, GDP per capita on Mundus, in return for a waiving of these tariffs they would need to ensure that any charged tariffs on Aostain goods are at a rate lower than say Lodja with whom Waddan have no tariff agreement. The Prince explained what he hoped to achieve "We hope that we will get preferential treatment in terms of access to some of the materials we lack in this nation. I would like to see us become a preffered buyer for many things such as metals. Hopefully by removing barriers to entry of our nation we can achieve that as we can ensure a better price for our companies by having no tariffs. This will I hope make us more attractive as our companies will be excited to deal with nations around the world. The second thing is I hope that we can open up new markets for our own companies."

As of yet this deal only focuses on ports in the Strait of Shaw, likely meaning it is clearly focusing on connecting to poorer regions of Mundus such as Waddan and Pheubra.

Prince Lorenzo has today announced that following several confirmed reports of a new virus sweeping through certain types of livestock the Empire is to take safety precautions to try and halt the spread should it have reached Aosta. The Prince has spent the morning consulting with the nations leading animal scientists before making an announcement just before 4pm. The announcement has called for the immediate cull of all animals imported in the last 14 days. In addition to this animals from Aosta that have come into contact with these imported animals are to be quaranteened for 21 days and should any show symptoms they are to be destroyed. The radical measure is to stop the virus from having the ability to spread any further. Farmers will receive some compensation for animals originating from Aosta that are culled however no compensation will be given for animals from other nations. The Prince explained, "It is always important that the Empire makes the most of what we have. I have never really understood the need to import livestock. We are a vast nation in terms of area and should be able to be self sufficent in most kinds of foodstuffs. I have no idea why we would need to import cows or sheep so I don't think these were necessary imports thus we will not be offering compensation.

The National Farmers Union has stated that they believe that these measures are "overkill" and that farmers should be capable of making sure that they run their own quarantine measures. "Our members are far more experienced in animal husbandry than the Prince or even his academics who have never spent a day farming in their lives. I don't think the compensation being paid would be anywhere near like what we could expect an animal to fetch at market and this will see some of our smaller members struggle to make ends meet." When asked about what course of action he thought the government should take the spokesman stated, "We should immediately halt the importation of further animals and isolate any that have come in the last few weeks. We need to have vets examine the animals so that they can learn about the disease. We should then work with the international community to look at a vaccine. Blue tongue has been with us hundreds, maybe thousands of years and today has minimal impact on the herds we look after. Yellow-tongue seems to be much much more harmful, we may need a long time before we can limit its impact."

The Prince confirmed that inspectors will be visiting farms to check with compliance. Any farms not willing to allow inspectors onto the farms will be arrested by The Imperial Carabinieri who the Prince has also authorized to cull any livestock they discover violating the governments orders. The government have also issued permission for final year veterinarian students to carry out inspections on behalf of the government. The exact number of imported animals has yet to be confirmed but is thought to be around 1,500 animals, mainly goats imported for the cashmere and pashmina goat wool used in luxury textiles.

The two Imperial Regents have today appointed prominent biologist Dr. Miriana Caivano to lead the nations response to the ongoing Yellow-Tongue epidemic among animal species. For the 44 year old was formerly a junior minister in the Department of Health when the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood broke out of their secrecy. It was revealed through investigations spurred on by East Moreland's claims of the Sisterhood's schools being linked to terrorism that Dr.Caivano was a graduate of the Chapterhouse School in Aosta. The school was deemed as not being connected to terrorism however it is subject to more rigorous and frequent checks than other schools in Aosta due to concerns about "safeguarding young people". In the months that followed Dr.Caivano admitted that she was a member of the Sisterhoods Missionara which is an organisation made up of scholars and academics. To the best of the governments knowledge she was the only Bene Gesserit serving in the government and was asked to resign. Many had thought Caivano's political career was over however this crisis seems to indicate otherwise. Princess Brigida announced the appointment saying to the gathered media. "Dr.Caivano is a well respected scientist and a critical thinker. We stand in a position were the Empire needs such skills. It was, with the benefit of hind sight, the wrong decision to force her out of government because of her connections to a religion, some of whom have questionable standing. Dr. Caivano though has never given us cause to question her and we should have supported her. She is however ideally placed to help us through this current situation, she is a scientist of great renown, she is a leader and has many connections across the world."

The Regent went on to confirm that around 1,000 members of the Imperial Carabinieri have been put at her disposal should she require it. So far though the new "Yellowtongue Tzar" seems content to focus on ensuring the virus is not spread through the Empire. So far there have been 184 confirmed cases, all from animals brought to a pashmina wool farm in the South of the country. The farmer owning these animals did not consent to the euthanising of his flock and so yesterday members of the Imperial Carabinieri made entry to his land. It is understood the farmer fired a warning shot at them which was returned with a volley of around 20 rubber bullets. The Carabinieri then proceeded to destroy all livestock on the farm. The farmer is set to be paid compensation for the animals. This approach is one supported by Dr.Caivano who confirmed later in the day that, "we must put a layer of safety in place. A ring of steel in a manner of speaking. Tests will be carried out on every farm and should a single animal be discovered to have the infection it shall be neccessary to destroy them all. Unlike with human virus victims we can not ask a sheep who it has been socializing with." Dr. Caivano has also announced the following measures.

* Random spot checks of farms for the next 90 days for random testing of animals outside of regular scheduled tests.
* Quarantine of 21 days for any animal entering the nation.
* 8,000 members of the Imperial Army to be employed in farming communities as "Sheppard's" to ensure wild animals are kept away from farms.
* Any wild animal killed by these Sheppard's to be tested for the virus.
* Should the virus be detected in a wild population that population in the area is to be culled.
* Funding to be established for vacination development.
* Funding to pay compensation for impacted farmers.
* Government to pay a 10% "Top up" to those producing non cashmere and pashmina wool products.
* Government to cut tax by 5% on domestic wool production.

Following further spreads of the Yellow-Tongue virus within the Empire the government have placed the blame squarely at the door-step of several beliquerant land owners. In the south of the nation a group of around 10 farmers have refused entry to government inspectors and yesterday the Imperial Carbinieri were forced to use threats of arrest to gain access to the land. Upon entering the land it was discovered that the farmers had been working together to stockpile weapons and ammunition in some kind of apparent attempt to resist any attempts to inspect the land. In accordance with government legislation individuals must permit random inspection of their livestock and must any animals found infected will be destroyed along with any that they would have been exposed with. Across the nation there have been cased however where people have denied access to inspectors yet when the  Carbinieri arrive have allowed access. This is the first case where even upon the appearence of the Carbinieri access has still been refused. In total 29 people were arrested on charges relating to the Yellow-Tongue outbreak as well as resisting arrest and firearms offenses.

The Imperial family later confirmed that the land on which the offenses took place is now forfeited by the land owners and returned to ownership of the Imperial family. The Princess Regent announced, "all those employed working on the land should be reassured that if they have not been arrested then they still have jobs, if anything we are likely to in the coming days increase the number of people working on these farms as we need a deep clean and sort of what has been going on to prepare them for continued operation. The Farming community of Aosta is an important part of our nation and will be protected, that is why we have taken the steps we have. Once we have the disease under control expect the land to be redistributed and funding made available to help the new owner make the situation even more profitable."

The 29 people arrested are likely to face criminal charges in court in the coming days.

Truthsayers off duty at Aosta Chapterhouse

Following the Bene Gesserit faith's effective "Outing" several years ago there has been discussion in the Imperial Council about the faith's status in some of the laws of the Empire. At the age of 18 every citizen is eligible for national service of two years in the military, the people who undertake this service are determined first by removal of those physically uncapible of undertaking it because of disabilities. Once this has been determined the first born sons of families are removed to ensure there is an individual capable of continuing the family name. Next those who have University places confirmed and give a commitment to a future military career are exempt. This leads just one other exemption to avoid what many call the "Military Lottery", should a person be able to prove some religious belief should exempt them then they are permitted to be removed from the lottery. This final rule means that every year an extremely small minority of teenagers appear in special military courts to hear if they are granted an exemption, last year a total of 12 court hearings took place and six of these were successful. One of those exempted was Liliana Uberti who told us about the experience, "It was strange that I was forced to go to the military barracks in Ovado and along with my father and our lawyer I was shown into a office with a senior officer in the Army who sat and told me about the role of the military and the benefits of the training. He then gave me an oppurtunity to drop my case but there was no way I could as I belong to the Quaker faith and we are pacifists." There is an estimated 18,000 Quakers living in Aosta and their faith expects them to be non-violent regardless of the situation. "I was then taken into a larger room with two desk facing a long table with three men in uniform behind it, these were my judges. They each asked questions and the officer we'd just spoke to made a few arguements about why I should be made to join, I got the impression he didn't really care about the result. We then made our arguements and presented evidence of me attending religious services, being part of a Quaker youth group and having been on Summer Camps in Vanora with Quakers from all across Mundus. The judges asked a few more questions but I think they were more interested in my faith than making me join. Once satisfied they had all the information we sat in the corridor for five minutes and then they told me I was free to go and wasn't in the Lottery. It seemed a waste of time to be honest."

The military have however struggled with the idea of minority religions in the Lottery for a while however there is a tradition of minority religions serving in the Aostan military. One example is the Úlfhéðnar Battalion in the Infantry Division, a group of between 400-1000 infantryman who belong to the Odinist faith. The "Wolf Soldier" Battalion was formed in 1793 to allow Odinists to serve but still honor their religions traditions. Other religions also see units within the military such as the 1st Sessifet Battalion and the St. George Battalion, both of which serve in the Infantry Division, meanwhile the Navy have operated a ship called the Bernard, named after the Christian saint, since 1903 when a Christian Naval Commander was permitted to name his own ship.

While at first glance it would therefore seem that there are avenues to leave the Bene Gesserit out of the lottery and even remove them from military service the problem comes that some would argue the Bene Gesserit are polar opposite to the Quakers as the Sisterhood maintain their own military cadet style group within their educational system. This group known as Truthsayers receive training in firearms, do military drill and Physical Training in much the similar way the Imperial Army, Air and Naval Cadet youth groups do, however the Truthsayers live at the Chapterhouse School and the military lifestyle for them is almost a lifestyle. Major Luigi Grillo ran National Service intakes in 2011 and 2013 and told us, "When you pick company commanders from among the recruits at the end of the third week you often get the folders out from the candidates who stand out. It is not uncommon to see the name Chapterhouse in the female candidates folder as their school. Until the faith became known about we just all assumed it was a very active private school fortunate enough to have a good Imperial Cadet programme. Now its very clear that we see young ladies who had been essentially groomed for military service." With around an estimated 1,000,000 Bene Gesserit residing in Aosta it is clear that some of these Truthsayers have passed through the Imperial Military clandestinely and with rumors of Truthsayers having been involved in an attempt to steal nuclear waste from East Moreland concerns were naturally raised about giving the group access to professional military training.

After almost a year of consideration however the decision was made today that the Bene Gesserit would not be exempt from the Military Lottery. There would however be a Bene Gesserit specific unit established. A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence explained "After consulting with the Chapterhouse School, Imperial Veterans who have come forward as Bene Gesserit and a few current serving soldiers we have determined the Bene Gesserit faith is not a threat to military service, it must also be remembered only females join the Truthsayers as Chapterhouse is an all girl school, so effectively 50% of the Bene Gesserit have no military experience prior to National Service. We will be offering the members of the Bene Gesserit faith already in the military a chance to join this new unit. They will have their own detachment during basic training sections of National Service if numbers warrant it and upon completion of their 26 weeks of basic training shall join the front line unit dedicated to the faith." No name has been selected for the unit as of yet with the spokesman saying, "The other religious units were permitted to actively engage with selecting their names, we want people to be proud of serving the Empire and of the unit they called family even if only for those two years. At present we considered calling it the Jeboah Battalion as the Truthsayers have utilized that as their emblem for a considerable amount of time but that will be announced in the coming days.

Olimpia Vico is the Headmistress of the Chapterhouse in Aosta and she told us, "I'm happy our faith is being seen as Imperial citizens. One of the worries we had about our faith becoming so public was that nations may see us as outsiders even though the Vico family have been present in Aosta for well over 100 years now. My grand-father served in the Imperial Carabinieri but kept his faith secret. I understand people worry we see ourselves as children of two nations, the Empire and the Theocracy but more importantly we see ourselves as Children of Mundus and we wish to do our bit to keep our home safe. The Empire will see now just how well the Bene Gesserit have served the Empire and how Truthsayers will now proudly march under whatever banner they are permitted to under the Imperial Wolf figurehead." The two Regents are expected to present the new units colours early next week.

Duke Roberto Taiba

Police today discovered the body of Duke Roberto Taiba in his sports-car outside the capital of Ovado. The Duke was married to the Regent, Princess Birgida between 2003 and 2011 before divorcing following "resolvable differences". Duke Roberto was discovered inside the car and police have explained that the cause of death was a single shot from outside the car to the temple. The Police as of yet have no suspects and no motive. It is understood that Princess Birgidia has been informed and that she is currently taking care of the former couples two children 13 year old Luca and 10 year old Esmerelda. Following his divorce from Princess Birgida the Duke never remarried however he was in a three year relationship with the daughter of the Duke of Lieose, Lady Carmella.

Security around the Princess and her family has been increased however it is believed that they are under no threat.

ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION OF PRINCESS

Yesterday was meant to be a day of celebration for the Empire as His Imperial Majesty Emperor Franco Tornincasa IV turned three. The capital was set for a day of parades, parties and the Imperial Palaces plaza had been turned into a fun fair for a birthday party attended by the Tornincasa family and the Emperors friends. This was however cut short as Princess Birgida was attacked by a gunman on her route to the event. The Princesses security convoy came under heavy attack and sustained fire from a gunman in a nearby office complex. It was suspected that perhaps several gunmen were involved however as of yet only one has been confirmed. Following intervention by the Princesses own security detail and the Imperial Carabinieri's Rapid Reaction team the area was secured and the gunmen taken to the Imperial Carabinieri Barracks medical facilities where he is described as being in a "critical condition" by medics. Meanwhile the Princess was evacuated to the same base and is reported to be "Safe with minor abrasions and a possible concussion."

The day of celebrations were naturally cut short as the Palace went into lockdown.

NATION MOURNS HEROIC PRINCE FOLLOWING TREASON

The flags across the nation flew at half mast today as Princess Regent Brigida announced that a tragedy had befallen the Empire. Yesterday morning a convoy of Imperial Carabinieri vehicles was seen speeding through the capital for what at the time seemed no apparent reason. In truth the royal residence at the hilltop of Peruzia was being attacked as part of a plot by treasonous members of the Emperors own security details. Following a tense few weeks following an attempt on the life of Princess Regent Brigida the Emperor had been moved there in hopes of being more secure. However sadly it transpired that those responsible for the assassination attempt had hopes of damaging the Imperial Family and had targeted the Emperor himself this time. A number of traitors who had worked their way into the three year olds security detail tried to kill him and a gunfight broke out between loyal members of the detail and the traitors. It was into this mess that officers of the Imperial Carabinieri were thrust. By the time they had arrived only a small number of loyal agents remained alive and soon even they were gunned down. It was then heroically that Prince Lorenzo took up arms as the Imperial Carabinieri stormed the compound. Sadly during the gunfight Prince Lorenzo was critically wounded dying later of his injuries safe in the knowledge that his nephew and Emperor had been saved.

Even before the sun-set a funeral pyre was built at the  Shrine of the Holy Junction where Prince Lorenzo and the eight dead Security Agents were cremated. Princess Brigida and her sister-in-law, Lorenzo's widow, Princess Carmen, oversaw the ceremony. The decision was made to cremate the Agents alongside the Prince because according to the priest of the Shrine of the Holy Junction, "The great spirit guide Clíodhna will see a group of heroes who died saving a child. Arriving in the spirit world together with such a tale it is clear that Clíodhna will do all that is in within her power to guide them through the maze of sacred paths to the light. They will reside forever in the beauty of the light and surround themselves with the power of good standing ready to protect us in death as they did in life." In consultation with the families of the dead officers the ashes of the Prince were combined into a single urn with all the ashes being spread in the Imperial Forest that flanks the Royal Palace in Ovado.

Following the ceremony Princess Brigida explained this seemingly unique gesture. "The Imperial Forest sits as close to the most holy junction of sacred paths as possible. To be returned to the earth there ensures they will find a path to the light of the afterlife with the ease those who dedicate themselves to the Empire deserve. Those men shall never be forgotten and in my brothers death we are now forever united with the families of those brave officers."

The Princess will now be forced to act as regent on her own for the next 15 years until Emperor Franco reaches his 18th birthday. Speaking at this mornings press event the Princess Regent said, "While my heart is heavy I am forced to shake off my own personal mourning and turn to ensuring my nephew recovers from his ordeal and that Aosta recovers. We have issues that must be seen to and as a result I am authorizing the Imperial Carabinieri to delve into the Security Service to ensure all those who do not truly love the Empire are rooted out. Until that time Section Echo of the Imperial Carabinieri will be responsible for the security of the Emperor. Rest assured we shall ensure those who started these roller-coaster months by trying to kill me are also brought to justice.

It is understood a Drenovian citizen is facing trial for attempted murder and terrorism related offences for the attempted assassination of Princess Brigida and that Junior Minister for Schools , Alfonso Rosina is also charged with crimes connected to terrorism and treason. Speaking about the trial the Regent explained, "The Drenovian will face our justice and then if we are asked to be his homeland to deport him then we shall do so. Otherwise I suspect he will rot in an Aostan prison. If he is to be deported then we would need assurances he will not be freed before his sentence term is reached. As for Rosina if the case against him is proven he too must never see the light of day again. He was in a position of high trust and has betrayed it." When asked what her aims will be over the coming days the Princess Regent replied, "In my heart I will be mourning the loss of my brother and those who died with him. In my mind though I must turn to matters of state. It is imperative now we turn our focus to Lodja, our neighbours face their own crisis. We still have a desire to explore membership of the CNN and a swift end to the Lodjain crisis would help this process for us I am sure. Add to that we also have a desire to build upon some of the co-operatin that has begun with Drenovia. They were very helpful in our investigations into my would be assassin. Beyond Lodja, Drenovia and the CNN I will be quickly moving to ensure we are in a position to ensure when Empeoror Franco reaches his majority he inherits an Empire that is as strong as ever."

ALUCARD AND SHAW FLEETS PUT TO SEA EN MASSE

It has been announced by the Ministry of Defence today that the Princess Regent has ordered the nations navy at both Eastern and Western HQ's to put to sea. In the usual weekly briefing the Ministry's Press Secretary confirmed that the Alucard fleet will be focused towards helping with the situation in Lodja and will include the subs Ildibad and Eraric, the Assault Ship Rothari, destroyersAripert, Perctarit and Godepat, frigates Pippen and Bernard. The main duty of the ships will be to provide support to ongoing CNN operations which involve searching for the missing Lodjain Naval ship the Morelander. Many media analysts suggest that this is due to the nations intent at joining the CNN in the near future.

Mean while the Shaw Fleet will be conducting manouvers throughout the Straits and into the Kyne and will feature  subs Tiberon and Augustina, the destroyers Alahis and  Cunincpert, frigatesBerengar and Guy of Spoleto. While operations here are likely to be more focused on keeping the fleet in a good state of readiness it is expected that the fleet will also perhaps conduct test firing of some recently acquired Spearhead Missiles. Some analysts also believe the fleet is likely to head towards the Kyne which is becoming volatile.
