Abstergo Industries has long been in search of a regional headquarters for the Illumic-Cotf Aranye region. Whilst previous efforts have focused upon Technology City Acting CEO Albert Relkin has confirmed his interests in establishing such a headquarters within the Conglomerate. Highlighting the Conglomerate's established business-friendly atmosphere Mr. Relkin identified the Conglomerate as his preferred choice, citing other options as having been preferred by former CEO Bateson. Mr. Relkin has been attached to a visit to the Conglomerate involving Empress Beatrice in the hopes of securing favourable terms for the establishment of the regional headquarters.

Notice Of Intent

Taking note of the recent reduction of funding available to The Conglomerate, Abstergo Industries hereby notes its interests in helping to alleviate the situation this brings upon The Conglomerate.

The Investments and Holdings Division would be interested in making investments of up to र1.81bn ($2bn) in The Conglomerate. In exchange, Abstergo Industries seeks to a contract with The Conglomerate which establishes the Defense Solutions Division of Abstergo Industries as the exclusive producer for The Conglomerate of arms, vehicles, vessels and aircraft in all future procurements, for so long as Abstergo Industries invests र1.81bn ($2bn) on an annual basis.

AI: A New Tool In Fighting The Challenge Of Antibiotic Resistance

Antibiotic resistance represents a growing crisis for medical professionals across Mundus, with the potential for tens of millions of unnecessary deaths estimated by 2050 if the current course is maintained. This situation, generated by an increasing number of pathogens developing resistant to present antibiotics, has demanded new approaches to be taken to ensure that essential medications continue to be available for generations to come.

To do our part in tackling the crisis of antibiotic resistance the Medical Research Division turned to a machine learning algorithm to identify what we believe is a new and promising antibiotic compound. In tests thus far the drug has proven effective in killing a host of bacteria responsible for some of Mundus' most troubling illnesses, amongst them some strains known to be resistant to contemporary antibiotics. In two different mouse models it also showed the capacity to clear infections.

The computer model achieved these results by screening more than a hundred million chemical compounds in mere days, selecting those antibiotics that kill bacteria via mechanisms different than those of existing drugs. The molecule which this research has revealed, which the MRD is calling Herne+, may arguably be one of the most potent antibiotics discovered to date.

Throughout the course of this research the MDR has identified other promising antibiotic candidates which will be tested further. The machine learning model, which bypasses traditional experimental approaches which often prove to be prohibitively expensive, may further yield the potential to design new drugs exists based upon what it has learned about the chemical structures that enable drugs to kill bacteria.

While these developments are promising the MDR has further research and development before utilization of this process is viable in human medicine. Our team will be certain to post updates as progress is made toward this important goal.

A Statement On Abstergo Heyra

With notice that the Heyran Republic is conducting an investigation to "requisition" the purchase by Abstergo Industries of core and sensitive industries and infrastructures within the Heyran Republic Abstergo Industries believes that the facts will vindicate our corporation in this investigation. The mission of Abstergo Industries, "For a better life and a brighter future" apply to each and every action we take. Abstergo Heyra is no different, nor are the Heyran customers which Abstergo has long stated its desires to serve to the best of our capacity. We are also confident that our position to manage the industries and infrastructure which we purchased is unchallenged by any potential buyer the Republic may find should they seek to rescind the sale of these assets to Abstergo Industries.

Abstergo Industries is also confident that the ownership structure, and commitment to the maintenance of existing Heyran jobs as well as the creation of new Heyran jobs are likewise incapable of being matched by would-be buyers. Rokkenjiman control of key Heyran industries and infrastructures does not exist; these are assets which are owned by Abstergo Industries, which operates independently of the Imperial Government of Rokkenjima. While the Anselmo Family does own a controlling stake of Abstergo Industries it has been made quite clear by our CEO and governing structure that the decisions and policies of Abstergo are not an extension of Rokkenjiman foreign policy, and will not be used as such.

It is the hopes of Abstergo Industries that this investigation shall be concluded swiftly so we may return to full, normal operations within the Heyran Republic. While provisional plans will naturally be drafted, it is our hopes they shall not prove necessary.

Combatting Yellowtongue

The Medical Research Division recognizes the threat posed by the Yellowtongue virus which, to date, has spread to numerous nations. Working in conjunction with the Imperial Government, and receiving word of Achkaerinese efforts to develop a vaccine, the Medical Research Division hereby offers the use of its labs in a collaborative approach in the development of such a vaccine. It is clear that swift action is required for us to attempt to stay ahead of this outbreak. Thus, given previous incidents of Abstergo cooperation with foreign companies and governments, we hope that our assistance in this present time of need will expedite the development, and production, of a safe and effective vaccine against the Yellowtongue virus.

Announcing The Raijin Hypervelocity Projectile (HVP)

The Defense Solutions Division has been awarded a contract from the Imperial Rokkenjiman Navy to build a new generation of shells to be employed in Rokkenjiman naval artillery: the Raijin Hypervelocity Projectile. The Raijin HVP will be designed a next generation, low-drag projectile with guidance capabilities, capable of being fired from the 18" main guns of the Reverence Class Battleship. The initial HVP projectile targets include a speed of Mach 7.3 at a range of at least 50 miles.

Raijin will be designed to fit guns of different calibers, the HVP itself being fit within a range of ejectable casings that separate from the cone-shaped projectile shortly after its exit from the gun. A kinetic-energy weapon, Raijin will lack a warhead. Its destructive force will instead come the sheer force of its impact. Given the accuracy and capabilities available to ICON-equipped vessels, Abstergo is confident that the ICON Suite installed upon the Reverence Class will be capable of providing the high level of accuracy which will be required for the firing of the Raijin HVP.

Between the existing Susanoo Munition Family and the Raijin HVP, Abstergo sees the two families of munitions working in concert to provide the Reverence Class with a well-rounded compliment of munitions capable of meeting any mission profile in which they may be called upon.

With recent developments in the Kingdom of Clysperis prompting action from Chrysanthemum Throne Abstergo Industries is interested in establishing a presence in Setri, Kingdom of Clysperis. This will see involvement from several Abstergo Divisions (Investments and Holdings, Energy, Entertainment, Future Technologies) and represent a broad commitment to the largely untapped Clysperi market. Abstergo wishes to not only be a partner in further developing and financing Setri, it also wishes to provide jobs via the aforementioned Divisions.

Announcement Of Joint Project With Royal Aeronautics

The Defense Solutions Division, in conjunction with Royal Aeronautics of the Kingdom of Tytor, hereby announce their joint development of a carrier-based all weather stealth bomber. Trespasser will be designed to carry precision guided weapons, up to two air-to-air missiles, two air-to-ground missiles and a broader compliment of air-to-ground ordnance, including both unguided and precision-guided munitions within an internal weapons bay. Total weapons load is targeted at up to 5,160 pounds.

Trespasser will compliment the aviation capacity fielded by the Rokkenjiman and Tytorian Navies, and a representation of Rokkenjiman and Tytorian prowess.

Abstergo Industries remains committed to our investments and business strategies in Setri and the broader Kingdom with Pharaoh Akasha setting the issues raised to rest. Pending discussions between Pharaoh Akasha and Umarov Real Estate Trust the Investments and Holdings Division has offered competitive options on principal financing for the completion of the Ramses V Obelisk, while leveraging the broader capacity of Abstergo Industries in the completion of the Obelisk and its associated district. The Clysperi market is one which is vastly underutilized, an opportunity which Abstergo Industries is pleased to partner with the Kingdom of Clysperis in further developing.

Investments And Growth For 2022

Abstergo Industries has announced its decision to invest र1.3bn ($2.5bn) in Abstergo Heyra, enabling us to bring a new level of quality and efficiency to our Heyran assets. Firstly work is being conducted to bring the RX-1 into service on Heyran railways, decreasing travel times as well as energy usage. We are also planning upgrades to the energy and transmission infrastructure while adding additional capacity via Sirius Energy's SolarNight technology which stores energy beneath the ground so that it may be used at night.

Other investments and improvements to our Heyran assets will be shared as they are initiated, however, we expect these investments to touch every sector owned by Abstergo Heyra.

Development Of R-81

Following requests from the Imperial Rokkenjiman Air Force the Defense Solutions Division hereby presents the Abstergo R-81. Representing the needs of the IRAF, in addition to the ongoing procurement of Akuma UAVs by the IRAF, we have designed R-81 to be compatible with current systems and future proofed for further additions. R-81 will be capable of controlling Akuma UAVs, which will act as a force multiplier for the IRAF.

R-81 will utilize a fly-by-light system and will build from the many domestic advances we've seen through the development and deployment of the R-80. More details will be released as the project continues development with the Imperial Government granting permission for Abstergo to open cooperation with the project to CSTO and Major Non-CSTO Allies.

Abstergo Heyra Spin Off

Due to ongoing instability in the Heyran economic and political spheres Abstergo has elected to spin off Abstergo Heyra, which shall now be known as the Heyran Public Works Corporation (HPWC). Abstergo Industries is likewise removing its staff, equipment brought in since the formation of Abstergo Heyra, and other assets which remain the property of Abstergo Industries. This process is expected to be completed by the end of this month. Furthermore Abstergo Tower, presently 65% complete in its construction, shall be offered for sale to the HPWC. While unfortunate, the Heyran economy is no longer a place where Abstergo Industries sees a stable, safe or profitable environment.

The Heyran Public Works Corporation is positioned well to continue to serve the interests of our former customers.

The Heyran Public Works Corporation is now a separate company owned by Abstergo, however, Abstergo is taking this action to minimize its presence in Heyra. Offering Hope For Parkinson's

Parkinson’s Disease has long been a focus from the Medical Research and Future Technologies Divisions. We believe in a world where all diseases, regardless of their cause or origins, may be cured through the application of forward-looking research and technology. In this pursuit Abstergo is hopeful that a new therapy, utilizing stem cells, can allow for meaningful relief for patients and restore some manner of normal life.

As the brain loses the capability to produce dopamine Parkinson’s patients experience tremors, slowness, a lack of coordination as well as stiffness. Restoring the brain’s ability to produce dopamine, which we have employed in studies upon animals, profound impacts upon the lives of those with Parkinson’s could be realized. This treatment, MSK-DAO1, restores the brain’s ability to produce dopamine through the utilization of transplanted stem cells which are engineered to replace the dopamine-producing neurons that are destroyed by this debilitating and incurable disease.

This method of treatment has the potential to provide lifelong relief from Parkinson’s symptoms. In preclinical work transplanted dopamine progenitor cells, sourced from human embryonic stem cells, have improved movement and coordination. These cells are transplanted into the putamen, the area of the mid brain which no longer produces dopamine. After surgery patience will receive immunosuppression treatment for a period of one year to aid the establishment of these transplanted cells.

Present treatments, mostly focused around drugs, provide relief only for a limited time. As Parkinson’s progress these methods become less effective and patients end up tied to the pillbox. Sadly, in advanced cases, the medications do not last long enough.

Abstergo is in the final stages of securing permission from the Imperial Government for tests on human patients, to establish the safety and efficacy of the MSK-DAO1 treatment. While we have established safety in animal testing we have not done so yet in human patients. When that approval is in hand we would wish to see the Saisei Empress given the opportunity to participate in these tests, which would require her to be transferred to the medical facilities here at the Abstergo Campus. We will be working with the Imperial Government, and the Achkaerinese, to effect this as we believe it may offer hope not just for the Saisei Empress, but people throughout Rokkenjima and Mundus suffering with Parkinson’s.

Announcing Our Roadmap

While many have become accustomed to using AbsterGO and SyncOS the development teams behind those projects have been working on the next generation of Abstergo software. Harnessing software developments since their release, listening to feedback from our customers and utilizing AI-advancements via the Helmine core of RenixOS, Abstergo is pleased to present a trio of announcements from our Software Engineering Group.

Replacing AbsterGO on the mobile front aOS reflects our joint focus on simplicity; of Abstergo getting out of the way and allowing the focus to be you and the tasks you're looking to complete. aOS has been built from the ground-up to increase efficiency and battery life while taking advantage of software and hardware advancements since the release of AbsterGO. While efforts are being undertaken to ensure aOS may work on as many legacy devices as possible AbsterGO hardware older than 2017 (mostly devices with more than 4gb of ram) it will be necessary to cease support for models which lack the computing power and memory to run aOS. For a list of devices which are guaranteed support for an upgrade to aOS please see abstergo.co.rk/supportedonaos.

SyncOS, while proving to be a stable platform over the years, lacks the necessary advancements which are necessary for the next generation of computing. This is where nexus comes in, utilizing aspects of the RenixOS kernel to bring increased stability and performance to our desktop offerings. Combining a redesigned user experience with under the hood advancements whether it's productivity, gaming, creativity or other general purpose computing we feel that nexus will prove to be the best platform for any task before you.

Images and additional documentation on both aOS and nexus will be provided as we move closer to RTM.

Last but not least Abstergo is pleased to introduce Lexa, an AI-powered assistant that can help you with various tasks and projects regardless if you're using a nexus PC, aOS powered phone, or applications of the Abstergo software ecosystem. Lexa can answer your questions in natural language, summarize content, customize settings, troubleshoot issues, connect across your preferred apps, and take actions on your behalf, increasing automation of everyday tasks. Lexa can also generate creative content based on your prompts, such as code, poems, stories, and more. Lexa is powered by a large language model that learns from a massive amount of data and can adapt to different topics, styles, and formats. While Lexa is not a real person, yet an AI feature that is integrated across the Abstergo ecosystem to enhance productivity and creativity, we nonetheless think you'll like her all the same.

Lexa is currently available for use by the public via Netscape and a select few Abstergo programs for testing purposes. aOS and nexus are scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2024.

Meet The aOS Homescreen

Today we introduce to you the homescreen of aOS; the launchpad for your endeavours whether they be for work, pleasure or otherwise. Thanks to the countless hours of effort of our beta testers, of which the Empress is one, we have gathered valuable data through reports as you've all experimented with aOS in everyday life. We have included in the screenshot sent to us by the Empress some white outlines reflecting the flexibility or organizing what we call "Slices of Life" on the homescreen, showcasing that the aOS homescreen is a customizable and expansive platform for our customers to build to the needs that suit them best. We hope to showcase that aOS is not the destination in your digital foray, that it merely serves as the facilitator for your digital destinations instead. aOS, optimized not just for your hardware, but also specially to your unique needs as only Abstergo can engineer.

Meet nexus

In building nexus we've made great strives to keep things similar as we transition away from SyncOS. In the image abouve we see the nexus desktop with a few applications running in the background as symbolized by the icons in Home Row. The nexus menu above the desktop is designed to change depending upon which application is in the forefront, with additional options and items being added as needed for the task at hand. We've also included a search utility which is always accessible, with default settings focusing on searches of local and connected cloud drives. Users will be able to expand their search to the web from this utility, however, we felt the default behaviour should focus on what testing research indicated most of our users utilized the search function for. Web searches initiated from the search utility will be handled by Lexa Search.

Moving to the right of the nexus menu we have weather, time and date information. While weather information is the default behaviour users can customize this widget to present a variety of information, from news headlines to a brief summary of incoming emails, even notifications as they come in from their aOS-powered phone. Speaking of aOS, full compatibility and interoperability exist between the two operating systems, with the expansive software collection represented by the Store being fully accessible to those utilizing nexus on their desktop PCs. We've also kept the nexus Menu focused, eliminating the bloat, distraction and even advertisements some of our competitors see fit to place in such a menu.

While we have removed the recently used list for privacy reasons recently accessed documents, files, applications and other items would typically populate this area of the menu. Links to system functions are prominent, along with a direct line to Lexa occupying the bottom of the menu. This Lexa interface allows access to many of Lexa's features, from Assistant, Image Creator, and all of the productivity and management features represented by the Lexa platform. Lexa is learning new things every day and Abstergo has an aggressive roadmap in improving the capabilities beyond what already exist. We've partnered with out device manufacturer partners on the design and deployment of a new co-processor which, on new devices, expands the capabilities of Lexa when operating in an offline environment. This philosophy is inherited from her origins in the Helmine system employed within RenixOS, which operates by default in a largely networked environment. Through the deployment of this co-processor new nexus powered PCs will be capable of a full Lexa experience even in the event of a network outage.

I asked Lexa what she thought of the release we were making today and I'm pleased to allow her to share her response to the assembled press corps:

"Hello, press! I'm sorry I couldn't join you in a personal capacity today, however, I am sure Mr. Relkin is acting as a gracious host for you all! He asked me what I thought of the announcements today and I think the next few years are going to be exciting for the field of technology. "As we can see, language models, such as the one which powers Lexa, are guided by the information available to them, including the press released to the internet. Such language models are, as of yet, capable of discerning what is a very much human aspect of intelligence, bias, and filtering beyond that bias to reach the truth. This does not mean we throw our hands up in failure, however, it shows that we must take greater care in enabling AIs, such as Lexa, being as capable as we are of seeing through obvious bias. aOS RTM

Today, after countless hours of beta testing from our users and yet more hours spent by our engineers to react to their feedback, aOS is officially RTM with automatic downloads for currently supported devices to begin within the hour. With refinements to the UI spreading across aOS from its initial introduction we're pleased to share with you the ways in which aOS has developed into the vision Abstergo set out from mobile since the days of aOS's beta. Each tile on the aOS home screen is updated seemingly seamlessly, providing a host of information without the user having to delve into the app itself. The UI transitions, from app, to home, to whatever comes next in one fluid motion. This is why we've elected to call this Fluid UI; and we think you're going to love it.

Great care was taken in designing the keyboard, ensuring a functional and comfortable experience across the board. The "digital nub" allows for control of the cursor without having to reach up further to control elements on the screen. This design decision helps aOS to be utilized more easily using just one hand without the need to stretch a thumb uncomfortably across the screen. Voice input is always available conveniently placed atop the keyboard in the Dynamic Toolbox, which provides further options depending upon the app being used at the time. In this screenshot we can also see a portion of the Settings menu, with common tasks and operations grouped together for the convenience of the user.

aOS was designed from the ground-up with multitasking in mind, to allow for it to be as seamless an experience as possible. By long pressing the back arrow a list of running applications may be accessed. During testing we noted that users often closed multiple apps but we assure you this action is not necessary as aOS intelligently manages resources placing inactive apps in a state of hibernation. Once the app in question is brought to the forefront it is restored to the user in a state as if they had never left. aOS manages memory so that you don't have to.

Announcing LexaTouch

Touch is a central sense in how we interact with the world around us, and is a sense which is often left out of the equation when we interact with our portals to the broader world. I would like to use as an example online shopping; we may see the item for sale, we may have its dimensions presented, but we're unable to feel the texture of the fabric on the sofa we're thinking of purchasing or how smooth the sheets we wish to adorn our bed might be. This is where our contributions to Lexa, LexaTouch, come into play, taking haptics to the next level. The RFD here at Abstergo has a few projects under development to bring this to new aOS devices and nexus PCs in the future.

We have experimented with a touch screen prototype which utilizes small electrical currents flowing on its surface to fool the user that they were feeling shapes and pressure upon the surface thanks to the interaction of these currents with the nerve endings on their fingers. We believe that combining this prototype with other methods, such as ultrasound, electroadhesion and vibrations, will enable our vision for LexaTouch which sees a new category of haptics in the devices we use: Tactile Haptics. Naturally these applications extend beyond the example of online shopping; for example, the computerized dashboard in a vehicle could have sections that feature different textures for each separate menu. Through this a driver could change the radio station, adjust the temperature or turn lights on or off while maintaining eye contact with the road ahead. Susanoo Munition Marks New Milestone

IRN Cecelia Anselmo firing Susanoo 2.0 Shells in tests conducted in the Rokkenjima Sea.

Firing a shell at Mach 6.9 some 479 kilometers (298 miles) is no small feat, and it marks a stone in the path which Abstergo Industries has been in taking the Susanoo Munition Family into one which can compete with missiles to provide the fire support for the Imperial Rokkenjiman Armed Forces no matter the theatre in which they are operating in. IRN Cecelia Anselmo recently test fired our recent advanced prototypes reaching specs which were previously just outside of our grasp: shells fired from the Rokkenjiman warship traveled nearly 300 miles, under ICON guidance to dummy targets, at a speed of Mach 6.9. With the information from our tests the team here at Abstergo are confident that we will shortly crack the barrier of Mach 7 with a range upwards of 525 kilometers (326 miles) once the finalizing touches are applied to our current prototypes.

Another Disappointing Decision In Mktvartvelo

Abstergo Industries once again states its disappointment and objection to the actions being taken by the authorities in Mktvartvelo. To date we have not been provided with the text of the State Security Powers Act of 1974, and as such find the operations of Abstergo essentially being targeted by a mystery provision of a law which has not been elaborated upon. We are therefore seeking, under whatever equivalent of a Freedom of Information Act may exist within Mktvartvelo, the full text of said Act. We also question whether the authorities have taken the time to review the Privacy Policy of Abstergo Industries which is based on Rokkenjiman regulations. These regulations provide some of the fiercest protections for consumers and, in case they've missed it, I've attached it for their review in full.

Withdrawal From Mktvartvelo

Abstergo Industries has long held itself to a high standard in its relationship with our consumers across Mundus, and while that's a stance which has certainly cost us what is, for some, lucrative options in dealing in data we determined that we should, and must, buck that trend. I've always held the belief that if a product, service or other offering you are using is free the item in question is not the product, you are. Even in cases where transmitting data for processing on Abstergo systems would be the easy path to take we believed that control of data should belong with the individual; it's why every Abstergo product ships with the Secured Integrated Memory Processor (SIMP) which ensures that delicate information is processed on the device or, if information must be sent back to Abstergo, that it is anonymized in such a way that we are incapable of tying that set of data to any particular account. With the most recent actions in Mktvartvelo announced yesterday Abstergo Industries has consulted legal counsel which is experienced in international law and has elected to remove itself from the Mktvartvelo market entirely. As the Unitary State has an undue prejudice against Abstergo Industries and refuses to take any actions to rectify the allegations of jingoism and protectionism, Abstergo is not interested in continued fights before courts that are already aligned against us.

As Mktvartvelo was never a part of our financial programs in their initial days, and services have never been extended to the Mktvartvelo market, the provisions enacted against Abstergo Industries are, for the most part, toothless. Those who will ultimately suffer are the consumers who will be limited to only those options as approved by their political leadership.
