Last Nuclear Plant at Haalgland Ceases Functions
The project will have a cost of about 320 million Krona
Today, the Haalglandian Government announced the cease of functions of the Welbeit Nuclear Power Plant, after 32 years of ininterrupted energy production for the entire region. The reason of the shutdown is the Government's plan of deactivation of every nuclear facility on the nation.
A group of people support this decision affirming that the facility had old infrastructure, and being risky for the communities around it. On the other hand, some people warn that the shutdown would provoke a rise on the unemployment rate at a regional level.
For countering this effect, the Ministry of Economy,Robert Menzevys, proposes the plan of employing people such as engineers on the Dam nearby, and therefore replenish the energy flow.
