Theocracy of Kaitaine recognized as the official government of Kaitaine

TINS news anchor

Earlier today the Foreign Office has issued an announcement informing the public that Empire will now recognize the Theocracy of Kaitaine as the legitimate government of Kaitaine and that it’s closing its embassy in Arrakeen as a result. Furthermore, the Foreign Office has also informed Kaitaine’s embassy in Djerb that the Empire will be revoking all special privileges awarded to the mission, effectively canceling its status as embassy. The Foreign Office says that the decision was made after much consideration which included, among other aspects, the de facto situation on the ground. The communiqué did not make any references to President MacPherson’s recent inflammatory statements against Tamora. Many of our viewers remember that in recent months there have been more and more news about the complete suppression of religion existing in Kaitaine, how that had a profound impact on our athletes during the Games of 2018 and culminating with the Synod of the Church where the situation of the Bene Gesserit has been discussed in length. It is ironic that while the communist regime in Kaitaine had hoped that by hosting the Mundus Games is would improve its image worldwide it has managed instead to put the spotlight on the country and thus resulted in no longer being recognized as the official government of the country.

The decision will also have an impact on travel and economic activity and as such the Foreign Office has informed the public that:

-Tamoran citizens are advised to no longer travel to Kaitaine because of security concerns.
-Tamoran business will no longer be able to engage in commerce with what is self-described as the Soviet Republic of Kaitaine and will only be able to trade with the recognized government, the Theocracy of Kaitaine.

Analysts say that economic activity between the Empire and the Soviet Republic was almost nonexistent and the change will not be affecting economic activity.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Rokkenjima issues sanctions… again

Imperial press officer

Rokkejima sanctions the Empire again, this time for daring to recognize a state in Mundus: the Theocracy of Kaitaine. The Imperial press officer issued a brief statement about the recent sanctions:

“Let me first start by informing the Rokkenjimans living in the Empire that the Imperial government will not retaliate against them just as we took no actions against citizens of other nations that sanctioned us in the past. As far as we are concerned nothing has changed in relation to them. This includes the staff of the Rokkenjiman embassy to Djerb, they can continue to stay if their government allows them.

As for the sanctions that have been issued against all of us, it’s simply bizarre how the First Empire of Rokkenjima reacts on the international stage. They have severed all ties with us literally overnight because we have recognized the Theocracy of Kaitaine, claiming that somehow that makes us supporters of terrorism. Yet they are now making moves to engage in dialogue with the Republic of Slava Lavosk. This is after it has been confirmed they are close to building thermonuclear weapons. The same Slavans that have put people into camps and have tortured Dilara Haghighi to death will soon be able to launch a devastating attack against Tamora or any other country for that matter. How is that not terrorism? People say Midaranye is hard to understand, I beg to differ. The real conundrum is Rokkenjima’s foreign policy. “

The Imperial press officer also briefly touched on Slava’s President recent comments that the Midaranye crisis should be brought before the CTO saying “what Slava Lavosk is now trying to buy time to finish constructing their thermo nuclear weapons. The time for talk has passed, there is an ultimatum given; Slava Lavosk needs to comply if it wants to avoid war. Everything else is just diversion to gain more time and the Empire of Tamora will have none of it”.

The Council of Kings adopts measures to alleviate the food crisis in the Empire

Djerb was host today of the first meeting of the council of kings of this year. Summoned by the Emperor, the monarchs of the federated kingdoms have meet in Djerb to discuss the pressing food crisis and what the government can do to alleviate at least part of the problem. After almost four hours of talks, the meeting concluded and the Imperial Palace informed the Empire that:

- All federated kingdoms will suspend the sales tax on food beginning immediately and lasting until the 31st of December 2019. (The current sales tax vary by kingdom but average at around 20%).
- The imperial government will suspended all tariffs on food immediately; the measure will expire on the 31st of December 2019. (The current tariffs on food imports average around 150%).
- Approximately 10% of the Imperial food Reserve will be distributed to religious organizations which will be in charge of donating it to the Seleucids in the federated Kingdom of West Seleucid.
- The Imperial government will close the border with RS in all the federated kingdoms expect for West Seleucid.
- All diplomatic missions in countries that have sanctioned Tamora or where there is talk of sanctioning Tamora will be instructed to petition the government to suspend the sanctions and allow the exports of food to Tamora for the duration of the year (until the 31st of December).

The government stressed that closing the border with Royal Seleucid in the other federated kingdoms is done for security reasons as it is expected that soon the Empire will likely be in war with Slava Lavosk. Furthermore, it is in West Seleucid where all efforts will be made to keep providing food to the Seleucid refugees.

On the issues of tax suspension on food, the imperial government stated in the short term they are aimed at stopping the increase in food prices and on the medium term, easing the import of food will most likely drive the prices down. Businesses will now be able to import food tax free from Quintelia to East Moreland or the Holy Empire.  Furthermore, our diplomatic missions aboard will do their best to sway foreign governments to at least temporary allow food exports to Tamora and thus give Tamoran businesses even more choices from where to import. The Imperial government has said that the diplomatic missions will tailor their message according to the situation in their host countries. While for example “in the Holy Empire, our ambassador will do its best to explain to the public why sanctions on Tamora are counterproductive in an effort to sway the Senate. On the other hand, in the First Empire our embassy staff has petitioned the government there to suspend the ban on exporting food to Tamora. More could be done but, regretfully, the First Empire has chosen to expel our staff. “

The businesses community welcomed the suspension in taxes and the fact that its length gives them a reasonable time to benefit from it. They were however skeptic about foreign nations suspending the ban on food exports to Tamora. Nevertheless, with agricultural powerhouse like Quintelia allowing exports to Tamora, businesses are confident they are able to import a huge amount of food in a relatively short amount of time.

  Hostage in space?

The latest breakdown of relations with Rokkenjima has many of us wondering what will happen to Fairuza Kuto, which is now in space aboard the Rokkenjiman space state station. The lack of information on the Rokkenjiman side has fueled speculation, especially on the Tamoran internet, that the Rokkenjimans are planning to arrest her when she gets back to Mundus which could lead to a crisis between the two empires.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

More nations sanction Tamora

More nations sanction Tamora after learning that Djerb is threatened with nukes

Ayatollah Azad Araki, one of the most respected foreign policy experts in Tamora

The last few days the international stage has seen many leaders address the crisis we are having with the “neighbor” in the East. To make sense of it all we have invited Ayatollah Azad Araki, he’s a renowned theologian in Manist teachings and an expert on foreign policy.

-   Your Holiness, let’s start by talking about the latest statement from King Dave of East Moreland. He has announced that we will not provide the missile shield to help protect us against a nuclear attack.
-   Yes, we have seen the Morelanders “offer” to help only to have it withdrawn the moment we accepted. I think the government was right to call their bluff and expose their true intentions. I particularly enjoyed seeing how King David first faked concerned about the prospect of millions of Tamoran dying because of nuclear weapons only to deny the means to prevent such a thing from happening when asked to help.

-   So the Morelanders never intended to send the missiles systems to Tamora.
-   Of course not. It’s against their religion and their expansionist policies. Their religion often references a certain code of Canley and they quote it publicly from time to time. In the usual deceptive manner that the Cultists operate they forget to tell non Cultists that the code applies only to Cultists.

-   But the East Moreland often claims it help other nations.
-   And this brings us to the expansionist policies I was talking about. The Cultists aim to expand their influence all over Mundus. They are willing to “help” if you are willing to become a vassal of theirs. Look at Academica, because I tech foreign policy I unfortunately had to watch the elections there. It was a dreadful display of meekness and constant praising of East Morelander and its leaders. They had one “candidate” for monarch who said that without East Moreland they couldn’t have defended themselves. It is people like these that Morelanders like to “help”.

-   What about Seaforth? They went further than King David in sanctioning us.
-   Yes, you can’t help but notice how religious festivals of Cultists are good opportunities to launch economic war against other nations. That tells you all you need to know about their values. That and the fact then when they heard Tamora was threatened by nuclear destruction they found it a good opportunity to try and weaken us economically.

-   Why did they do that to us?
-   Because they want to see us down on our knees and are taking every opportunity to weaken us. A strong, proud and powerful Tamora is their worst nightmare. You have to understand they are used to dealing with Academia, Vaguzia, Lodjans etc. They do not like it when foreigners display independence. You need to only look at how jealous Cultists guard their Illumic channel, asking nations that are not part of that region to stay out yet they come near our shores with warships for any pretext. They use the same duplicity when dealing with Tamora, they say they want to help Mundus and talk about all these international organizations that provide aid but in the end their nations that are three to even five times richer than Tamora resort to wagging economic war on us increasingly poverty here. And for what? Because they don’t like our domestic policies? Of course not, that’s just an excuse. They see Tamora as a threat to their domination.

-   What do they want? What do they hope to achieve by coming here?
-   They want our oil and gas and they hope to expand their influence in Midranye using the Cultist minority in Royal Seleucid as an excuse.

-   We can’t hope but notice that king Andrew is spearheading the sanctions against Tamora, always taking them further than anyone else. They are now sanctioning people who trade with Tamora.
-   The absurdity of King Andrew’s actions has reached epic proportions which can be best explained by his personal problems. He comes from a family and indeed a country that used to be Catholic. They have left their faith and have joined the Cult of Helus. He now seeks to show the world that he is more Cultist than the Cultists of East Moreland.

-   But still where does his hate for Tamora come from?
-   After his family has been put back on the throne by foreign forces that defeated the Seaforth Catholic Church, he and his family have been bent on erasing all trace of his Church from Seaforth. A country that used to me majority Catholic is now Cultist after a very short time. Something like this cannot be achieved unless you use persecution and propaganda. So when he sees us and our deep respect for our ancestors, how we stay true to our faith, unapologetic and not bending over backwards to appease foreigners and their sentiments about slavery, he starts raging. He sees that he has lost his connection with his ancestors, he starts to realize how Seaforthians have been uprooted from their heritage, how they have abandoned their faith so he projects his hate of the Seaforth Catholic Church on us. It’s truly tragic, I pity him.

-   What about the recent announcement that the Holy Empire will be sending a special envoy for Midaranye?
-   Rarely have I seen such an insult. The “Holy” Empire… can we please not use the term holy? There’s nothing holy about it! The Empire of Achkaerin has sent a woman who is in her thirties yet has managed to not be married and not bare any children. And to add insult to injury, her only qualification is that she was a concubine of the Achkaerinian Emperor. That woman which has no connection with Midranaye and displays the morals of a Slavan is to presumably advise us and meet with us. I am willing to bet my career that no Tamoran official will ever meet with her. Not that she was ever expected to actually do something. It’s just a position she’s been given for her service to her Emperor.

-   But can another envoy help find a solution for the troubles we have with Slava?
-   No. And we already have a solution. What did we do when we were having troubles with Altai, Akkar, Vojvodina, Attica? We conquered them. The Jihad is the solution for our problems with Slava. We don’t need foreigners to tell us how to handle our affairs.

-   Earlier today, the Seleucid press has present breaking news about a cultist temple hoarding food. What do you make of this and how should the authorities respond?
-   Does a cat eat mice? How can it be breaking news something that everyone in Midaranye and beyond knows? Cultists store food in their temples. There is nothing newsworthy here. And as far as the authorities are concerned, they handled the matter poorly. The Cultists have done nothing morally wrong by hoarding food to offer it to their pagan gods. It’s their food. The authorities now should be focusing on proving food to their own people. Don’t get me wrong, I am a critic of Cultits and their quest for a global Helusian Empire but I am also guided by the book of Mani and according to the book, they have the right to worship as they please. As selfish as it may be to worship by hoarding food that’s their way. That’s how they see things; they don’t care if people die of starvation outside their temples just as they couldn’t care less if Djerb would be nuked. The solution is not to arrest them for hoarding food but to expose the egoism of their cult for all to see and to proselytize and convince its members to abandon the cult. That’s the solution, nothing else will work.

-   Lastly, if you could give us an insight about the future Phuerbran elections.
-   First of all let me say that Phuebra is the textbook example of what foreigners would do to Tamora if they had their way: under military occupation, with a foreign governor assigned by a foreign power and the said governor intending to sign various international treaties and join a series of international organizations meant to irreversibly change Phuerba. This is the sad state of affairs in the country. As far as the candidates are concerned, there hasn’t been much information available. However, in my opinion Mr. Saleet el-Sadri is the only running candidate with a backbone and is not intent on only placating the occupiers. He seems a man of faith, and in my opinion that gives him the strength to resist the myriad of attacks the occupiers will throw at him.

-   Thank you so much for your insight. Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

King Hadi steps down as king, passes the torch to his brother
« Reply #63 on: March 04, 2019, 08:06:19 AM »
King Hadi steps down as king, passes the torch to his brother

Prince Heydar is to assume the throne of RS

Few could have predicted that in such a short time after the passing of King Akakios a new change in the leadership in RS would take place. King Hadi went live on TV admitting that he has betrayed his father and country putting their interest below that of the Lodjan wife of the late king. His betrayal went further than family blood or his allegiance to his country and went so far as to commit adultery with the Lodjan Oskana, his step mother, admitting that the child she now carries is his. After betraying his gods, his family and his country he then went on air to ask the people for forgiveness.

The Imperial palace was quick to send a public statement on the issue, congratulating the new king, reiterating Tamora’s support for RS in the current crisis and the willingness to strengthen even further the special relationship between the two countries. The statement made no mention of the incident that led to King Heydar’s ascension to the throne with sources saying that it is an internal matter of the Soter royal family and therefore Djerb will not make any comments about it.

While King Heydar has so far no direct connection with Tamora, he has nevertheless mentioned our nation in his address calling our two nations cousins and thanking the Empire for its support during the food crisis. Many foreign policy experts in the Empire have praised the speech saying that is proof that the new king will continue to pursue the special relationship that has characterized our two nations.
After the Imperial government has issued their congratulations, many other regional and local personalities in the Empire also congratuleted to the new RS king.

We have invited Ayatollah Azad Araki again on our show to give us more insight on the latest news from RS.

- Your Holiness, what exactly happened in Royal Seleucid?
- East Moreland happened or better said the Helusian Empire I was talking to you about just yesterday.

- Would you please elaborate further on this?
- Of course, we are seeing now what the role of Lodja is in the world order that EM wants to impose in Midaranye and beyond. Few are surprised that Lodjans are asked to do what they know best. What is surprising is just how far they have managed to infiltrate themselves in Royal family of RS.

-But why would Lodja do this?
-Because EM ordered them to do so. When EM says jump, Lodja asks how high. That’s how EM in particular and Cultists in general treat their allies. Let’s not forget that EM is at its second attempt of trying to topple the Soter Royal family. They have failed the first time but managed to squeeze in the Celtic protectorate and now they tried again using the Lodjans. What the EM cannot defeat military they try to defeat with tricks.

-A lot of people in the Empire have blamed the Lodjan Oksana for seducing the prince Hadi and giving food to Cultists while the Seleucid people starved but you seem to but the blame on EM. Why?
-Lodjans do what their masters tell them to do. Of course the Lodjans will have to be punished but the real threat is EM and the Helusian Empire they are trying to impose all over Mundus.

-When you say punishment, what do you think it is appropriate penalty for the guilty parties?
-In the case of the Lodjan woman, she should be enslaved and not for her treason since as a Lodjan her her loyalty was never to RS but to Lodja but for committing adultery. For that the only acceptable punishment is enslavement or in the case of RS: execution. Of course, the child she carries is innocent and should first give birth and only afterwards should the authorities proceed with the punishment. I also want to see her confess on public TV about the conspiracy and the plan she was ordered to put together. People all over Mundus need to see just that is happening here in Midaranye and the foreign powers that interfered must be shamed. Furthermore, the new king should immediately freeze all assets of the Stasiuk in RS and after the investigation is concluded; if the Lodjian Oksana is found guilty they should then be nationalized. We know that they were engaged in at least one major project in RS but I am sure there were probably many more so their assets here should be significant.

-But what about the former king Hadi?
-He should also be executed for this. Such betrayal against God, country and family cannot be left unpunished. I understand that his brother Heydar is a very merciful man and that he loves him deeply but in this case there can be no forgiveness. I doubt this will happen since the Soter family has always been known to be very forgiving and understanding. Let’s not forget that the King Akakios himself released 143 Iwi prisoners that were caught while attempting to launch an attack against RS. So I have no illusions that Heydar will lift even a finger against his brother.

-So what’s next for the Seleucid Royal family and for the kingdom they lead?
- I don’t predict we’ll see any major changes. King Heydar, despite his military background, seems to be soft and very willing to cooperate with people that have clearly shown that they cannot be trusted. I refer here to the Cultists in the Celtic protectorate. Soter family has always had this approach and we will see if Heydar can do the impossible and burry this whole incident under the rug and continue to have good relations with the Lodjans.

-Thank you so much for your insight. Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Local news: Tsar Viktor Gough-Petrov’s visit to Attica comes to an end

Local news: Tsar Viktor Gough-Petrov’s visit to Attica comes to an end

TINS notice to viewers: This news report is done by our local partner in the federated kingdom of Attica.

The Tsar of the Krimeonites making the sign of the cross

Tsar Viktor Gough-Petrov together with his son, Prince Andrew and His Holiness Patriarch Kiril visited our kingdom for a cultural and religious exchange as both kingdoms share the same religion.  Tsar Gough-Petrov met with Her Majesty Queen Arpine Saroyan at the royal palace were the two royals talked about a whole range of issues relating to improving cooperation between the two kingdoms. Sources say that in the next couple of weeks, the Queen will issue a series of decrees as a result of this meeting.

During the visit, the foreign delegation attended a special service at the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in the capital which featured among others singing a Psalm in Aramaic. The two Patriarchs had a private meeting afterwards discussing matters of faith and a search for common ground between the two Christian faiths. Orthodox- Catholic dialogue is now more important than ever for Christians in Midranye as tensions are high with neighboring Slava Lavosk which shares the same Orthodox faith as the Tsardom of Krimeon.

It remains to be seen in the coming weeks if the visit of the Tsar will have an effect on the politics and life of the kingdom and perhaps even beyond its borders.

Other news in brief:

Rosary for Peace: the Catholic Church of Attica invites the faitful to pray for peace in an effort to avert a potential war with Slava Lavosk. Christian orthodox churches in the kingdom have made similar appeals.

Attica’s border[1] with the federated Kingdom of West Seleucid closes in an effort to stop the Seleucid refugees from crossing into Attica. The Attican authorities justified the temporary closure of the border as a necessity under the current conditions. The restrictions do not affect the movement of goods or travel by air.

The leaders of all major religions in Attica have invited the faithful to donate what they can spare to help the Seleucid refugees coming into Tamora. Contact your local priest, imam or priestess for more information.

That will be all for today, dear viewers.  Good night and God bless!
 1. It’s the internal border between two provinces of Tamora, not Tamora’s border with RS

Silence movie wins the Ozzie, Samira Hanifnejad leaves the audience speechless

A sober and confident Samira Hanifnejad displaying the Ozzie she won

Some goods news came from the East Moreland for a change. Few were expecting that the Tamoran Silence movie would win the Ozzie for Best International Movie but it happened much to the surprise of audience. Samira Hanifnejad went on stage, received the award and gave a short acceptance speech for the Tamorans watching back home:

“Let me start by thanking God without whom nothing would be possible, to my country because it has made me who I am today and to my family for giving me life and a purpose in this world. However, this award while important is no reason to celebrate because it is given to a movie about the suffering of my people. I will admit that I imagined the possibility of winning it when I made the movie and thought that I could be here to say “Free Dilara” to all of you. My secret hope was even that Dilara would be here with me at the ceremony and thus the movie would have made a small contribution towards freeing her. In that I have failed. I now look towards the sky, where I know for sure Dilara now is, and will say to her, to my people back home and to Slavans: Jihad! We will not rest until we will avenge you, Dilara.”

And with that, Samira left the stage leaving behind a shocked audience.

TINS was of course in East Moreland to cover the event. After the ceremony was over and things calmed down, Samira was kind enough to give us a short interview, here are the main highlights:

-   How does it feel to be here in EM, the country whose King has gone live on TV saying he’s okay to leave millions of Tamorans to die by nuclear arms just because he disagrees with the Tamoran government’s foreign policy?
-   As one would expect to be: anxious and eager to get back home.

-   Why do you think Silence won the Ozzie for best international movie?
-   I think the movie has awoken some basic feelings in all who watched it. Most foreigners are under constant propaganda telling them how evil and cruel Tamorans are. So when they saw the movie and how helpless the Tamorans in Slava Lavosk are they couldn’t help but resonate with their plight. If it weren’t for their governments preaching hate against us, a lot of foreigners would not be so prejudiced against us.

-   What does this award mean for Tamora and Tamorans in general?
-   Well, I have always said that Tamora has long been at war. The war didn’t start when foreign nations began waging economic war against by trying to cripple our livelihoods but decades ago when they started a cultural war against us. Almost 60% of the gross income from cinema tickets sales goes to foreign productions. 60%! Those are movies that have nothing in common with our culture and that dilute it. I think this award is a sign that we who work in the domestic film industry are turning things around. We have a long way to go but I think there will come a time when Djerb will be hosting international film festivals that will outclass the Ostlake Movie Awards and any other foreign film festival for that matter.

-   May God bless you for your extraordinary work!
-   God bless Tamora!

Spoiler:  highlights from the Ostlake Movie Awards ceremony • show

At first the foreign press couldn't pay less attention to Samira Hanifnejad and her husband. Little did they know how much of a mistake that was.The couple weared black observing the national mourning in Tamora folowing the death of Dilara.

After her acceptance speech, a foreign journalist, perhaps unaware that Tamora lives under the threat of nuclear bombardment, asked Samira if the Jihad will bring Dilara back. Samira passionately explained to him, in terms that even a Slavan would understand, that the Jihad is meant to avenge Dilara and make sure something like her execution never happens again.

After the award ceremony, the foreign press knew who Samira was and gave her the proper attention.

For the viewers who are wondering, Samira and her husband have safely returned home without much trouble from the Morelanders. May God bless Samira Hanifnejad for giving us one more reason to be proud that we are Tamorans.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

The illegitimate government of Kaitaine launches a chemical attack
« Reply #66 on: March 09, 2019, 09:32:00 AM »
The illegitimate government of Kaitaine launches a chemical attack against its citizens

A Kaitaine TU-160 doing “agricultural” work over the territory of the Theocracy

Earlier this morning, reports have appeared that the illegitimate government of Kaitaine has launched a chemical attack against its population in an effort to stop the Theocracy from regaining control of the country. In the usual cynical manner, the illegitimate government of Kaitaine has denied the accusation saying that it was purely an agricultural issue of exterminating vermin.

On the Tamoran internet, one of the most shared posts on our social media platforms was a quote from a woman warrior from the Theocracy of Kaitaine that said “rest assured should the need come to defend the city, our homeland and our people every Thruthsayer would gladly rip out their own hair, bloody their own flesh with their own crystknife and take whatever manner of death awaits be it a KDF bullet or the torture of chemically induced cancer, but in the end Seitch shall not fall. They can throw chemicals at us, bombs, bullets and gas we shall take them in our stride and we shall win.”

Spoiler:  the woman warrior of the Theocracy • show

The picture of the woman warrior of Theocracy, called Thruthsayer, has gone viral on the Tamoran internet.

That message of defiance resonated with many Tamorans. Ayatollah Azad Araki is here to explain exactly why that is.

-Your Holiness, what do you make of the recent developments in Kaitaine?
-I see desperate rebel government lead by citizen McPherson attempting to regain control of West Kaitaine from the Theocracy. He is now embolden by the fact some nations have decided to court him and he is now testing the waters to see just how far he’s allowed to go.

-What do you make of the recent declaration by a woman warrior from the Theocracy who issued a pledge of defiance against the rebels?
-I have to say I had my doubts on our government’s decision to recognize the Theocracy as the legitimate government of Kaitaine. Don’t get me wrong, as an Ayatollah I was at the synod of our Church and supported the decision of the church to offer the Bene Gesserit refuge in our great country. But getting involved in their civil war? Especially when they are so far away from us and when there is a price to pay for our nation. Because let’s be frank, as much as the foreign powers hate us, some of them needed an excuse to sanction us, we just gave them one. So while I am still not on board with the government’s decision to recognize the Theocracy as the true government, I am half way there after this day.

- Why is that? What changed?
-It’s hard to explain. Often my students ask me how can you tell if a person is truly religious. We have many faiths in Tamora and while the Church of Mani is the true faith, we can still tell if members of other faiths are true believers in their faiths or just nonbelievers masquerading. Some of my students have said that doing good deeds is proof enough that a person is genuinely religious, but good deeds can also be done by godless people. Others have said a strict adherence to ritual is proof but again, a hypocrite could also do all those in order to gain favor and respect of the community. No, the true test is how much you are willing to sacrifice for your faith. Are you willing to give up your life like Dilara did? Because that’s what separates us from the lukewarm believers, we think of the afterlife first and the current life second. Seeing how that young woman is defiant against the might of the rebel government proves that her conviction is genuine. Can you imagine citizen McPherson doing the same if the roles were reversed? Of course not, he would claim to be Bene Gesserit, Christian, Helusian whatever it takes to escape.
But I also think it’s more than just that, Tamorans and especially young ones are resonating with the message of the young woman fighter in particular and the cause of the Thocracy in general because it reminds them of their struggle. The Helusian Empire, the First Empire and their pawns like TUNA and others are all united against us asking us to give up our domestic policies in order to satisfy them, to sacrifice our faith in order to placate them. They try to bleed us out by waging economic war against us while the Slavans want to exterminate us by putting us in detainment camps, crucifying us or just nuke us into oblivion. Against all that, Tamorans remain defiant protecting our values and our poverty as our most dear possessions. Seeing how that girl will defend a ruin of a city to her dying breath is something that Tamorans can understand and greatly respect.

- So what will happen now?
-A time of choosing is coming and nations will have to decide if they stand for religious freedom or if they are willing to support a godless murdering government of Kaitaine because it is more convenient and serves their interests. I have no doubt that the Helusian Empire (OOC: East Moreland+ Seaforth and Bakkermaya) will suddenly find that “fighting terrorists” is more important than protecting civilians. Those would be the same people that gave Mundus the Borelanders and have yet to defeat them after centuries of “trying”. Rokkenjima has already jumped to kiss the hand of citizen McPherson and Achkaerin will soon follow because where Rokkenjima goes, they go. However, those nations while powerful are not all of Mundus, in fact far from it. So I think we’ll see a few surprises. Not all governments are comfortable with using pesticides on children no matter how hard the Helusian Empire and its pawn will try to convince us that is a standard procedure. Let’s see them do it on their kids first and then I’ll believe they really mean what they say.

-Some foreigners have brought the issue of the Uppsala convention and are saying that the rebel government has not breached the convention.
-Using the Uppsala convention is a trick, it’s an instrument devised by the current world order to bully the rest of the nations of Mundus around. If the Helusian Empire reads the convention on Monday a certain action can be a breach but on Sunday the same action can be compliant with the convention. The true Litmus test is this: to those nations that say the attack is fine and it’s a regular agricultural procedure I ask to allow Tamora to do the same procedure on their local population. I am sure we can do it for free if they allow us. So as long as the Krimeonite Tsardom and other like them are unwilling to allow us to help them by using the same chemicals on their populations as an “environmental measure”, I am going to call them for what they are: liars.

-Others have asked that in the absence of Uppsala convention how can they determine of it’s a war crime.
-It’s really simple to determine: do their national laws permit such actions on their own populations? If the members countries of the Helusian Empire allow for this according to their laws then it is not a crime. But if it’s illegal under their laws but say it’s perfectly fine when others do it to their own people then my friend, with all due respect, you have the morals of Cultist.

- Thank you so much for your insight. Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Top best selling books of 2018

Top best selling books of 2018

Alya Safavid, Mother of the Nation. Seven centuries after her death her writings are still among the most sought after books in the Empire

While 2018 was a year filled with political turmoil and crises it was nevertheless a good year for the book industry. Overall book sales registered a 4% increase in sales which considering the economic climate of the country is a very good number. The bestselling books were as follows:

TOP 10 non-religious books:

1.   The rise and inevitable fall of the Helusian Empire by Ayatollah Azad Arak - needs no further presentation.
2.   Why do they hate us? – the book tries to explain the main causes of Manistophobia and general hatred of Tamorans throughout Mundus.
3.   Looking North –An alternative history novel. The premise of the book is that in XI century Tamora never manages to conquer the Muslim kingdom of Altai and is instead content to accept an uneasy peace. That forces Tamora to expand North into present day Vanora and Safraen. The novel intrigues the reader by showing how Midaranye would have looked had Tamora expanded North and kingdoms of Altai, Akkar, West Seleucid, Vojvodina and Attica never became part of the Empire. The books also imagines how Tamora would have changed had it eventually reached the Gulf of Safraen and not the sea of Kyne.
4.   The Fall of Djerb -  A Sci-Fi novel set in the XXVth century. After centuries of conflict and decades of being besieged, Djerb falls to the combined forces of the Helusian Empire but not before it managed to send a colony ship into space in a desperate attempt to save at least part of Tamora. The novel focuses on the colonization of a new planet by the Tamoran survivors and the challenges they face in attempting to recreate the Tamora they left behind when they only have a fraction of the population and are now on an alien planet.
5.   The ten best recipes in the Empire – cooking recipes
6.   What I left behind – based on RL events, the fiction novel describes the life of a godless Tamoran that lives a reckless life and abuses his mind and body. He eventually does the unthinkable and ends in slavery. If the book ended here and it would still have been a good novel and a good lesson. However, the novel goes further and tells the story of how the man found God while in slavery and how the book of Mani changed him. His master dies and the man is freed by the wish expressed in the master’s will. The main protagonist, now a changed man, starts seeing Tamora for what it really is: a land of opportunity and the natural home of all who follow the Prophet. He eventually manages to make millions of dinars by starting his own business and ends up having three wives, ten children and over one hundred slaves.
7.   Why gardening is right for you – gardening tips.
8.   Explaining how the world works – parenting book.
9.   Why Tamorans pray, Slavans hate and Seleucid prosper – collection of jokes.
10.   Always fashionable: pious and modest – book about women’s fashion.

TOP religious books:

1. The Book of Mani – needs no further explanation.
2. The Pentamerous (ooc: Anahitaism's holy book)
3. The Quran
4. The writings of Alya
5. The Bible
6. Why we pray
7. What’s right and what’s wrong
8. Sin, sinful and Hell
9. The road to martyrdom
10. Scrolls of Moses

Nobody in Tamora is surprised that this year, like in previous years, the Book of Mani tops the list. Those of us who are Manists know that one copy is not enough. We take great pleasure in receiving a signed copy from our grandparents and giving it as a gift to newlyweds. It’s hard to find an important occasion in one’s life when either receiving or giving the book of Mani is not appropriate or desirable. Furthermore, last year saw the first time that the Manist Association of Attica (MAA) named a Grand Ayatollah and that meant that for the first time copies of the Book of Mani printed by MAA had the signature of the Grand Ayatollah. It is for this reason that many collectors sought to buy at least one copy printed by MAA to add their collections.

In the end we would also like to mention some interesting changes in reading behaviors that are not apparent when looking at the top. While none made in the top 100, books about the Bene Gesserit were in high demand as we previously reported. Furthermore, books about King Lapu of Quintelia were also in high demand following his visit in Tamora and the freeing of 20 thousand slaves.

Others news in brief:

Islamic Archaeological Institute of Altai(IAIA) has said it has taken an interest in the recent archaeological finds in Xaeth has and has petitioned the Xaeth authorities to be allowed to work on the site alongside the local crews. IAIA has said the findings in Xaeth might provide crucial clues about the expansion of Islam outside of Midaranye in the first centuries after the Prophet Mohamed’s death.

Krimeon adopts protectionist measures under the guise of opposing slavery. The Krimeon Empire has long tried to compete with our products and after seeing that Tamoran manufactured goods are simply more affordable have resorted to this tricks to protect their domestic industry by “adopting Freestone Mark as national trade initiative”, explained economic analysts.

The series of tragedies that hit Royal Seleucid seem to have no end. Prince Hadi who had recently abdicated the throne was found dead together with his wives and children. As of yet there are no clues as to the possible suspects of the murders but authorities have said they do not rule out a possible suicide.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Zimalia announced the first round of lowering tariffs for Tamoran goods
« Reply #68 on: March 19, 2019, 07:48:05 PM »
The Tribal Union of Zimalia announced the first round of lowering tariffs and increasing quotas for Tamoran goods

His Excellency, the Zimalian President Binyamin Elwes, did not seem concerned of potential criticism from foreign capitals following the announcement

While rich Mundus nations are sanctioning Tamora left and right, the government of Zimalia proves it has a better understanding of how the world works and proceeds to cut tariffs and increase quotas for Tamoran imports by a substantial amount. Furthermore, the Zimalian government has affirmed its commitment to further cuts if economic indicators confirm the move is beneficial for the Zimalian economy. In the last year Tamoran-Zimalian relations have gotten better than ever with Tamoran mining companies winning mining licenses in Zimalia and making substantial investments there. Also, Tamoran agricultural companies are expanding their businesses in Zimalia and have even started acquiring agricultural land, some of which they have sold to the recently founded Manist Association of Zimalia (MAZ).

On the Tamoran side, the Foreign Office has upgraded Zimalia’s rating to Safe which means that Tamoran businesses are not expected to encounter arbitrary seizures or other types of sanctions in Zimalia. The move is expected to see an increase in Tamoran investment in Zimalia in all sectors of the economy and not just the mining and agricultural ones as it has been the case until now.

Economic analysts have welcomed the news saying that opening a market of 180 million people to Tamoran goods is expected to have a significant impact on the Tamoran economy and will hopefully offset the losses occurred by losing trade with other nations.

Emperor Abbas is awarded the title of Shiekh of Deh Kord (of Royal Seleucid)

As a sign of gratitude for Tamora’s support during the food crisis, King Heydar has given Emperor Abbas the title of Shiekh of Deh Kord. The Imperial palace has confirmed that the Emperor Abbas has accepted the title. It is the first foreign title Emperor Abbas holds. Furthermore, in a rare event, the Imperial Palace has issued a statement signed by the Emperor himself:

“The calamity that hit Royal Seleucid was an act of God that was outside of human control. What was within our control is how we reacted afterwards. It is the aftermath of such a calamity you see who your friends are, who you can rely and depend on. The Empire of Tamora and the Emirate of Royal Seleucid share bounds of history, culture, religion and heritage that no other Mundus nation can understand. The Empire of Tamora will remain a faithful friend and ally of the Emirate for generations to come.”

Furthermore, sources from the Imperial palace have stated that Emperor Abbas will be attending the upcoming Jewell of the Desert festival in Royal Seleucid.

The Lodjan wife of the late King Akarios is exiled after it has been confirmed she has committed adultery

The Royal Place of RS has announced that the Lodjan Oksana has given birth to a baby that is no way related the Seleucid royal family. King Heydar was gracious and did not choose to put her on trial and instead opted to exile her. The Lodjan Oksana also had her marriage annulled and her citizenship revoked. Furthermore, the assets of her family in RS were nationalized. The incident although shocking for the people of RS and the whole Midaranye region in general should come as no surprise since Lodjan women are notorious for having multiple partners and lack any sort of modesty or chastity. While the late King Akakios was a great leader, he was nevertheless too willing to overlooking serious character faults of foreigners. Fortunately, the Lodjan concubine was stopped before she could do more harm to the kingdom.

High Priestess of Helus comes clean about the Helusian Empire

High Priestess of Helus has gone on public record sketching the first phase of the Helusian Empire:

“I would if I was King David unify with Seaforth through marriage, I believe Harper Rhodes is unmarried and she would make an excellent Queen, then West Moreland should be annexed, at the point of a sword if neccessary. Finally Bakkermaya I believe could easily be brought under the Imperial banner through simple negotiation.”

As if it wasn’t clear enough that the Helusian Cultists would not stop there, she went on to note that:

“This would be a glorious start” alluding to the idea that the Helusian Empire would know no borders.

The High Priestess however felt short of acknowledging that the plan is already in place and is actively being pursed calling it just a “marvellous idea” and suggesting she got it from watching foreign media channels.
She has also criticized the Morelander king for being in a relationship with a Lodjan of a different faith and considering marrying her. Should the High Priestess opposition to the marriage make the Morelander king to change his mind, it would be a another devastating blow to Lodjan behind doors “diplomacy” after the one already experienced after King Heydar of RS exiled the Lodjan ex-wife of the late king Akakios.

The communist rebel government of Kaitaine faces international backlash

Following the chemical attack by the communist rebel government of Kaitaine against the population of Seitch, more Mundus nations have begun to publicly express their concerns and in the case of the Empire of Achkaerin have joined the Foreign Office in asking the Empire of Rokkenjima to suspend their announced 2 bln dinars (USD) of military aid to the communists rebels. So far the First Empire has yet to respond to the request or issue any statements which have led some to speculate they are now dealing in secret with the communist rebels in order to avoid a public backlash.

The Foreign Office has maintained its opinion that the act of the rebel government is a chemical attack and that further attacks such as these would force the Empire to explore other options of pressuring the rebel government of Kaitaine. The Foreign office would not go into details about what measures could be considered and has instead stated that it is confident that the rebel government would not persist in using these types of attacks.

Head of Foreign Affairs, Alya Safavid, to go to Zimalia for a working visit

In the coming days, the First Wife, Alya Safavid is scheduled to go on a working visit to Zimalia to discuss with the Tamoran business community there and the local officials. Sources close the Foreign Office have said that the visit is related not just to the recent drop in tariffs by Zimalia but also that an important announcement will be made during the trip.

Prince Regent of Neu Uburzis could visit Tamora

The Prince Regent of Neu Uburzis of Neu Uburzis has announced his intention to meet Emperor Abbas. The Prince Regent is going on a tour in Midaranye and has also expressed interest in meeting with the HoS of Slava Lavosk and Royal Seleucid. The Foreign Office has not yet confirmed the visit saying there are still details to be agreed by both sides but that substantial progress has been made. The fact that Neu Uburzis has little to no trade with Tamora and that the Prince Regent also intends to visit Slava on the same tour are among the reasons that the Foreign Office has not been very enthusiastic about the visit.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Latest data in: The Empire’s economy is now officially in recession

Latest data in: The Empire’s economy is now officially in recession

TINS news anchor

The latest data in from the Imperial government has confirmed what many Tamorans were expecting, the economy of the Empire contracted by 1% in 2018. The Imperial Statistics Office has also explained that while the first two quarters of 2018 the economy saw the usual modest growth the Empire has been experiencing  for decades, the last two quarters have seen the economy contracted and the year average is a decrease in GDP of 1%. This marks the first time in 20 years the Empire has seen a recession.

Financial experts have said that international sanctions are the main contributing factor for the recent downturn of the economy. The Empire’s economy has been hammered by sanctions on a constant basis in the last 6-9 months with almost half of Mundus nations sanctioning the Empire in one form or another. The other causes for the recession are the massive Borlander terrorist attacks that have disrupted trade in Mundus last year as well as the rising tensions with Slava Lavosk. Financial analysts are mixed on whether Tamora’s economy will manage to resume growth or if the current recession will deepen this year. 2019 has already seen the Rokkenjima, the second largest economy in Mundus,  break all economic relations will Tamora further hurting the Empire’s economy. They were followed by further sanctions from East Moreland, Seaforth, Xaeth, Krimeon and New Derusmia among others. To make matters worse, Tamora is now only one step away from war with Slava Lavosk, has broken all ties with the rebel government of Kaitaine and new international sanctions are expected as the Achkaerin Senate is debating it. The only bright spots on the horizon are Zimalia opening its economy to Tamorans goods through lowering its tariffs and the massive increase in exports to Royal Seleucid we have seen in the last 9 months.

The recession has affected the population by increasing unemployment, which made things even worse in 2019 when food prices skyrocketed as a result of the locust swarm hitting our Eastern neighbor, Royal Seleucid. Enslavement as a result of bankruptcy skyrocketed with 120 thousand people being enslaved last year as a result. Creditors are now quick to seek bankruptcy of their debtors in an effort to protect their capital as there is little prospect the debtors will be able to recover. Families with four or more children were most affected by debt enslavement as they often hard only one bead earner in the family. In the first two months of 2019, the courts have already sentenced to slavery 30 thousand individuals, with economic analysts expecting the number to reach 240 thousand by the end of the year if the current recession continues.

Tamoran businesses have each sought to weather the storm by taking various measures including but not limited to: cutting wages, reducing the labor force, cutting prices, attempting to use crypto currencies to ease the effects of the sanctions or switching to other markets like Royal Seleucid. For businesses that used no slave labor adopting the Freestone mark was vital if they relied on exports otherwise they risked going belly up even if they didn’t use slave labor at all. There is no official estimate but reports have said that around 10 thousand businesses got the Freestone mark certification so far with another 5 thousand pending; almost all of them got the bronze level. The notable exceptions were some of banks and IT companies based in the federated kingdom of Attica that have applied and got the gold level. While most of the businesses that applied for the Freestone mark were already not using slave labor, there have been some businesses that opted to sell their slave labor in order to become compliant with the requirements, with a few businesses even opting to free their slaves in order to gain the gold level Freesome Mark and earn publicity for international clients. The few cases that happened were of businesses that resided in the federated kingdoms of Attica and Vojvodina.

On the other hand, in the Imperial Enclave the public backlash against the Freestone mark and the hate group behind it has been so severe that eventually all business which applied for the Freestone mark dropped their application and publicly apologized for choosing profits over principles. In fact the Imperial Enclave remains the only federated kingdom that has no registered businesses applying or having the Freestone mark. On this front, unfortunately yet again the federated kingdom of Attica disappoints with almost 6000 businesses there having the Freestone mark, followed the federated kingdom of Vojvodina with 2000, West Seleucid and Akkar with almost one thousand each and Altai will less than a hundred. The federated kingdom of Attica remains a special case, not only have businesses there flocked to please foreigners but there have been reports that local businesses are bullied by the Queen of the federated kingdom into adopting the Freestone mark. So far the Emperor has yet to take action or launch an imperial investigation over these allegations. If Freestone group reports are to be believed, in 2018 alone almost ten thousand individuals have been released from slavery as a result of applying for the Freestone mark. TINS has been unable to get info regarding 2019 but experts on the matter say the trend is increasing in line with the applications for the mark.

The finances of the government were also affected by the downturn as they saw their tax income dwindle. Each federated kingdom had its own approach to deal with the loss of revenues. The Imperial government and the Imperial Enclave were quick to cut spending across the board which included layoffs, reduction in wages, cuts in acquisitions and investments in infrastructure. Defense spending however saw an increase with the Imperial government confirming last year that military equipment acquisitions like the SU-57 air superiority fighter (among others) will continue as planned. The cuts in spending saw the imperial budget ending the year with a negligible surplus but the federated kingdoms have each approached their budgets differently with some opting to freeze hiring and spending and go on deficit with the hope that the recession would not last long. However, 2019 was worse so far for government finances as the governments had to suspend sales tax and import tariffs on food products in an effort to stop the rising food prices. Even analysts that are optimistic about the outlook of the economy do not expect the tax revenue to be matching that of last year, so all levels of government will have to find ways to cut spending or risk using more of their reserves. To make matters worse, the looming war with Slava will likely mean war spending will increase by a great amount putting further stress on government finances.

Latest statement from the Rokkenjiman government denies plans to imprison Fairuza Kuto

Pyrena Castle has issued a statement saying there are no plans to arrest, Fairuza Kuto, the Zimalian born naturalized Tamoran citizen that was the first Tamoran to go into space. We here at TINS have informed the public of the looming danger that the Rokkenjiman government will seek to retaliate against Fairuza Kuto for her allegiance to Tamora. It remains to be seen how solid the assurances of the Rokkenjiman government and its Empress are considering their reputation of changing “their mind”. Ayatollah Azad Arak, the world renowned foreign policy expert, has assured that Fairuza Kuto  will be back to Tamora as scheduled by the end of the week saying that it usually takes over a month before Rokkenjimans change their minds, “if Fairuza Kuto were to be returning by late April, I would be very worried but I see no possibility for the Empress to change her mind by Friday when our dear Fairuza Kuto is set to return”.

MIACHD reports that over 10 thousand Tamorans have sent letters to the Rokkenjiman government

Following the latest campaign initiated by MIACHD, over 10 thousand Tamorans have sent letters to the Rokkenjiman government explaining the health risks associated with exposure to Endosulfan. MIACHD encourages citizens all Mundus countries to join the heath aware campaign.

Iman Ali Montazeri, the founder of MIACHD, explained for TINS how he and MIACHD got involved in an issue that concerns the Bene Gesserit rather than Tamorans.

“I watched in horror as the “government” of Kaitaine casually announced that it was using chemicals to get rid of the people in Setch and I naturally expected the international community to be outraged. Instead, with few notable exceptions, we haven’t seen much. Worse still we have seen support for the chemical attack with Empress Beatrice leading the way in praising the “government” of Kaitaine. I immediately realized that something isn’t right and decided to do something about. I am glad to say that many in MIACHD were also of the same opinion and this is how the campaign started. “

He also added that:” The way the Bene Gesserit population is treated by the “government” of Kaitaine is very similar to the way Tamorans living in Slava are treated by the Slavan government. They are being exterminated. I still member how I felt when many in the international community stood by and did nothing and we couldn’t be like them when the same thing happens to the Bene Gesserit.”

He said that he’s confident that Rokkenjima will evolve on the issue because it has done so in the past. “I remember when Rokkejima recognized what the government was doing as genocide. So I strongly believe there is a good chance their government will listen to reason on this issue. After all they don’t have to agree with our position if they don’t like it, they can agree with their own position they themselves had on the issue just a couple of years ago before they switched. “

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Sarafian Shipyards win major government contract to expand their infrastructure

Proposed plans to expand Tamora's main shipyard

Sarafian Shipyards have announced that they won a contract from the Ministry of War to expand their infrastructure in order to build much larger ships. Sarafian Shipyards have said that information regarding future capabilities of the shipyard are confidential for now and did not provide further details. The Ministry of War has also declined to give specifics for the contract other than that the contract is for 150 million dinars (USD). Sources close to the Ministry have said that Djerb is taken measures following the recent Royal Seleucid food crisis when half a dozen nations had brought their fleets very close to the Tamoran and Royal Seleucid territorial waters. It is no secret that the Imperial Armed Forces have always given the navy a modest role in their military doctrine, relying almost exclusively on the Army and Air Force to defend the interests of the Empire. If our sources are correct, this could signal the first shift in military doctrine since the Empire annexed the Kingdom of Attica in 1958.

It would seem that the current recession has not in any way diminished the government’s determination to keep the people of the Empire safe from foreign aggression.

OPEN Economic Forum took place in Lungsod City, Quintelia

OPEN economic Forum took place in Lungsod City (Quintelia) where representatives of Oil and Gas companies from all OPEN member countries met to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to energy sector. Among the speakers was Mr. Thanasis Polakis, the owner of Polakis Energy, who talked about the Haghighi Dam project in Zimalia that was recently announced. In his speech, Mr. Polakis alluded to the idea that energy companies from OPEN countries should talk to their respective governments and interpret article 9 of the charter (“OPEN members agree to invest 0.1% of their profits into research for renewable energies”) as to count the investments in projects such as Haghighi Dam as “research for renewable energies”. Mr. Polakis has said that this would give energy companies more freedom to invest in a wider range of projects for the benefit of investors.

Tamora's open to Queen Chryssa’s idea but needs further details

Tamora open to Queen Chryssa’s idea but needs further details

TINS news anchor

Following the statement by Queen Chryssa of RS which alluded to the idea of creating a gathering of consorts of various HoS, many in the Tamoran press wanted to know if the Foreign Office had a position of the issue. While the foreign Office has stated that it will not comment of the statements made by Queen Chryssa and that concrete proposals are needed before formulating an opinion. The First Wife and Head of Foreign Affairs, Alya did touch the issue during one of the interviews where she stated that “so far we are not talking about a proposal but an idea that has yet to be agreed by the RS royal family as a whole. I am personally open to the idea but we would need to see more details”. Sources close to the Imperial family have said that there's some worry about the selection process of the members of such a gathering, with the Imperial family preferring one that is based on some connection between its members rather than an open to all membership.

Fairuza Kuto safely returns to Mundus

It has been confirmed that the first Tamoran to go into space, Fairuza Kuto, has safely returned to Mundus. Furthermore, in line with recent assurances from the Rokkenjiman government, she has not been detained by the authorities and has safely returned to her family in Zimalia.  Fairuza Kuto has not issued any major statements since her return but TINS can confirm for our viewers that she will be giving us an exclusive interview soon. Sources close to her family have said she has been deeply affected by the crucifixion of Dilara.

Midaranye Commodity Exchange to launch the first derivatives next weeks

Representatives of Midaranye Commodity Exchange (MCE) have announced that the exchange based in Ipsus, Royal Seleucid, will be launching the first derivatives next week following their strategy to make MCE the go to commodity exchange in Mundus. The spokesperson of MCE had this to say:

“MCE is growing fast. Thanks to companies from Tamora, Royal Seleucid and Zimalia working together we have a large spot market for oil, gas, minerals and crops. However, in order to further grow we need to diversify and offer potential investors more sophisticated instruments if we are to truly compete with the large commodity exchange of the established financial centers of Mundus. I will not go into the boring details in explaining the technicalities of these products, suffice to say that starting tomorrow buyer or seller of commodities can agree on a price today with the delivery of the commodities at a later pre-established time. So buyers can agree on a price for oil now and have it delivered 6 months from now, that way buyers can make a business plan knowing they are protected against any price fluctuations. On the other side, sellers have certainty that they will be able to sell goods 6 months from now at a price that they already know today. “

When asked if MCE has further plans to expand, the spokesperson was confident that MCE will see other resource rich nations trade on the exchange soon.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

The Imperial Academy welcomes its first foreign member

The Imperial Academy welcomes its first foreign member

For over a quarter of a millennium, the Imperial Academy has gathered some of the brightest mind of the Empire

The Imperial Academy (IA) announced today that it will welcome its newest member into the prestigious institution. Professor Jahangir of Royal Seleucid, a historian renowned in the Mindaranye region and beyond will be the first foreign member in the institution’s 250 years history to be accepted. Professor Jahangir has written extensively about the history of Royal Seleucid and is an expert on the history of Midaranye.

The head of IA has also addressed the criticism raised against Professor Jahangir by noting that after him joining IA his critics can now finally rest.

The Imperial navy to increase its numbers by three thousand men

The Imperial press officer has announced today that the Imperial navy will see the largest increase in personal in its history. Three thousand men will be added to the ranks of the Imperial navy, a huge increase of 20%. The announcement came just weeks after Ministry of War has announced an investment of 150 million dinars (USD) to increase the shipbuilding capability of Tamora’s main shipyard. The Imperial Press officer has not answered any questions on whether Tamora’s military doctrine will change in the future further fueling speculation about Djerb's plans for the Imperial Navy.

Fairuza Kuto has applied for a position in Rokkenjima

As stated earlier on TINS, Fairuza Kuto has agreed to an exclusive interview with TINS. TINS, through our local branch in Zimalia, has visited Ms. Kuto and she gave us an interview as promised. During the interview Fairuza Kuto has touched a series of subjects including the great emotional impact Dilara’s execution had on her, how she feels now that she’s a “star” in Tamora and Zimalia and has praised the excellent way she was treated by her colleagues in Rokkenjima.  Ms. Kuto also revealed she has applied for a position at the ISEA, the Rokkenjiman Space Agency. She has stated that she has been encouraged by the Rokkenjimans she had work with to apply and that it is an opportunity she could not afford to miss. Zimalia, her home country, lacks a space program entirely while Tamora, the country that adopted her, has a space programme but it has no human spaceflight programme and has no intention to develop one. Ms. Kuto did not wish to comment on the current political relations between Tamora and Rokkejima and how these relations might affect her application and has instead stated that she prays for peace.

Jalal Deer Agricultural Conglomerate (JDAC) calls the investment in RS a "great success" announces new R&D center

Last year JDAC had announced the opening of a meat packing factory in RS. Today the owner of JDAC, Mr. Gholam Dabiri, announced that the investment is a success and has achieved all profitability goals. Frutermore, Mr. Dabiri has announced that JDAC will open an R&D center in Royal Seleucid. This will be the first time a Tamoran business opens a R&D center outside of Tamora as research tends to be closely guarded by Tamoran businesses. The JDAC R&D center in Royal Seleucid will seek to attract talent from the Ipsus’ great academic centers and will help develop the most advanced tractors and harvesters the company has to offer.

Some have criticized the JDAC decision to “export” high skilled jobs to Royal Seleucid especially when the Empire is going through a recession. Mr. Dabiri however has defended the decision by saying that” JDAC is doing its part to help Tamoran society prosper. I hope people will forgive my lack of modesty when I say that if every Tamoran business were to manufacture products as competitive as JDAC’s products then Tamora technological prowess would be the envy of Mundus. JDAC has invested billions in Tamora and will continue to do so in the future. Tamora is my home, it is where I was born, where I live and it is where I will be buried alongside previous generations of the Dabiris. If JDAC is to remain competitive on the world stage is has to attract the best minds of Midranye and beyond. This is what this investment is all about”.

Albion’s nefarious colonialism of Midranye goes largely unnoticed

The Head of Foreign Affairs, Alya Safavid has stated during a press interview that Albion’s colonialism still continues to this day and needs to be reconsidered. Lady Safavid went further by saying that she sees no reason why “Socram Island cannot go its own way and become part of Midaranye’s life and prosperity and has to stick to following commands from Sarandib which is on the other side of the Sea of Kyne.” The criticism did not stop there with Lady Safavid stating that “Socram and Sarandib as a whole have about 30% of the population following Manism. A further 5% of the population follows Anahita, another of our official religions.  That’s more than eight million people and most of them are on Socram Island. We have a responsibility to those people. It pains me greatly to see millions of our faith living in squalor right on our doorstep. Their republican government that still has martial law has managed to completely cripple the country’s economy to such a degree that it’s almost hard to comprehend how a country so poor could be basically our neighbor. This cannot go on any longer.” When asked about what measures Tamora plans to take regarding the situation in Socram and Sarandib, Lady Safavid said” we will first consult with our friends the Seleucid since I believe they are just as concerned about the Socram us we are. We hope to agree on a series of proposals that we will put forward to the leadership in Sarandib in order to free the people of Socram from the hold that Sarandib has on them and allow people of Socram to enjoy the prosperity of Midaranye. “ When asked what will Tamora do if RS does not subscribe to Tamoran concerns, Lady Safavid was categorical in saying that “Tamora is ready to proceed to solve this issue alone if it has to”.

Imperial Ground Forces will see a reduction of 10 thousand men

Sources close to the Ministry of War say this is only the first step and that further reductions are planned

The Imperial press officer has announced that the Imperial Ground Forces will see a reduction in the total number of troops of 10 thousand. The change has been described as “necessary” but no further explanation was given. Sources close to the Ministry of War have said that it is likely that this will be just a first step and that further reductions are planned for the Ground Forces.

Minister of War, Afshin Riahi resigns

Early this morning the Minister of War Afshin Riahi has presented his resignation stating as it is custom that he feels his skills are no longer up to the task of serving the Empire and that a new vision is needed in the Ministry. Mr. Afshin Riahi has had several disagreements with the Emperor regarding the direction of the Imperial Armed Forces among them being the shift in focus towards the navy. However, according to sources it was the recent announcement made by the Foreign Office that Tamora which offered to send two squadrons of fighters to help China and New Derumsia that made the minister resign. The same sources claimed that Mr. Afshin Riahi strongly objected to what he considered an ill-advised reduction in Tamora’s available military assets at a time when the Empire and Slava Lavosk are close to war and all assets should be available in case war breaks out.

Djerb Financial Journal considers the new legal servitude law of RS the best pro growth move in recent years

Djerb Financial Journal (DFJ) praised Keing Heydar’s new law introducing legal servitude for individuals causing a financial loss to an individual or company and has described it as sensible, ethical and pro-growth. Many of the large businesses of the Empire also praised the move as one that will make Royal Seleucid more attractive to Tamoran investors.

Djerb will greet Pharaoh Bektaten with open arms

Pharaoh Bektaten will soon visit Tamora

“Djerb will greet Pharaoh Bektaten with open arms” said Emperor Abbas in a rare public address. HIM has further added that Clysperis’ decision to engage on the world stage is the best thing that has happened to Mundus in recent years and that he looks forward to develop an extensive relationship with Pharaoh Bektaten, similar with the one he was privileged to have with the Her Majesty’s father.

The count of Djeb has announced that preparations have started in the city for the first visit of Pharaoh Bektaten to the Empire.

Morelanders deny they are developing tactical nukes despite evidence to the contrary

The Alba Karinya continent has brought us news of a terrorist organization that threatens Mundus peace. No, it’s not the Borlanders of East Moreland. No, it’s not the Sisterhood of Helus of East Moreland and their quest for a Helusian Empire. This time is a terrorist group from AK, a nation with very close ties with… East Moreland.

As the videos provided by “Trajan” were featured on screen and subtitled, the news anchor continued the presentation. The video featuring a Smartwar facility and had the codes and schematics blurred.

“We will not linger much on the terrorists and their “goals” and instead focus on the information they have provided. It would seem that “the first nation to commit to being nuclear free” had its Minister of “Defense” inquire if the system could be used to fire a small tactical nuclear missile.  As the information become public, the Minister of “Defense” said that he was just “considering all possibilities” and that “if we think of things then so can the bad guys”. The minister did not provide details of whom the bad guys are."

Academica, were the terrorist originate, is already going through a controversy as the recently appointed monarch, a person with close ties with East Moreland, has been conterested by other candidates and many of her subjects. It remains to be seen if the international community will recognize the new monarch.

A new batch of 25 SU-57 fighters have been delivered to the Imperial Airforce

As the Ministry of War has announced last year, the purchases of Su57 continue as planned. 25 Su57 fighters have been delivered on schedule. Furthermore, the Ministry of War has announced that 25 Su27 will be retired as they will be replaced by the SU57.

Phuebran parliament elected the first PM after the foreign occupation of the country

“With 190 votes against 60, Sharaf bin Zaahid has been elected as the first Prime Minister of the Free Federal Republic of Phuebra.” Mr. Zaahid is a moderate Muslim and he will have to compromise with the ultra-liberal Buddhist president in order to achieve his agenda. One of the first priorities is the reconstruction of the country which has been ravaged by war.

Djerb hosts the largest religious art exhibition and auction in the Empire

Djerb hosts the largest religious art exhibition and auction in the Empire

Should the experts be right, Dorri Kaviani latest painting could sell for as much as 1 million dinars (USD)

The Manist Great Temple complex in Djerb is host again to the annual religious art exhibition which features some of the greatest works of art in all kingdoms of Tamora. The exhibition which has started this Monday will last the whole week. During the weekend Tamorans who have an interest in art and also money can take part in the action and can try to buy some of the works on display. The exhibition features religious art from all the major religions of Tamora: Manism, Islam, Druze, Christianity and Anahitaism but also includes a section dedicated to superstitious beliefs which includes some religious artifacts form the Maori that are owned by various private collectors and were bought from Royal Seleucid when Maori were part of the Seleucid Empire.

Last year the total value of the auctioned pieces surpassed 100 million dinars (USD) with experts expecting this year’s auction to match that amount despite the current recession that Tamora is experiencing.  The works of Dorri Kaviani, Tamora’s most prestigious contemporary painter, are in high demand and it is expected that at least one of her pieces will surpass the previous national transaction record for contemporary art.

Agri Forum 2019 took place in Akkar last week: Socram was an unexpected mention

Last week in Akkar, the agricultural center of Tamora, was host to Agri Forum where the largest players in the agribusiness sector discussed the latest agricultural trends, the opportunities and challenges. As was perhaps expected, international sanctions were seen by almost all members in attendance as the main challenge and one that is unlikely to improve in the short and medium term. Some of the experts that took part have praised the Midaranye Commodity Exchange and its role in helping farmers sell their products to a wider range of customers. As far as opportunities were concerned while most talked about Zimalia and the potential for growth there, Gholam Dabiri the owner of the largest agricultural conglomerate in Tamora argued that Socram has the most potential calling it a “treasure hidden in plain sight” adding that “Most of the people of Socram island are farmers living of substance farming, if we were to invest there we could see in ten years the island turn into an agricultural powerhouse rivaling the kingdom of Akkar”. Mr. Dabiri has said that he’ll petition the government to find ways that will allow Tamoran investment in the agricultural sector of Socram Island.

Kadyrov industries have unveiled their latest stealth drone

S 70 Hunter stealth heavy unmanned combat aerial vehicle that has been in development by Kadyrov Industries for a at least three years. The combat drone incorporates many of the stealth elements Kadyrov Industries already use on their Su-57 fighter. Representatives of Kadyrov Industries have not yet given a date as to when the combat drone will be introduced in service but experts have given 2020 as a possible date.

Ambassador to Zimalia  Ramin Rafsanjani dismissed the information appearing in the latest “leak

Ambassador to Zimalia, Ramin Rafsanjani dismissed the leak as distorted information

The Tamoran ambassador to Zimalia has dismissed the recent allegations against the Tamoran government that say the government paid bribes to various high ranking Zimalian officials (members of ZUL – Zimalian Union of labor). The alleged leak was facilitated by the latest terrorist organization to come out of the AK continent.

Allytolah Ramin Rafsanjani, the ambassador to Zimalia, was quick to react:

“There’s an old saying that say a lie is best hidden between two truths. This is exactly what is happening here. Everyone knows we have a good relationship with ZUL and we are constantly working with them to ensure that workers’ right are respected. It is also true that they have several times agreed to work for us pro bono or were invited to several events hosted by us in Zimalia so naturally we had to reimburse their costs with transportation and accommodation. The lie is that these are bribes or that there is something nefarious or illegal happening. We will of course begin an investigation and fully cooperate with any investigation the Zimalian counterparts might commence. “

The ambassador further explained that the people that facilitated the “leak” might have an agenda against Zimalia:

“It’s no secret that some people aren’t happy with our work here. They see Zimalia as almost a failed state condemned to linger in poverty. They aren’t happy when we prove them wrong. But what some fear most is a strong Zimalia that will not bow to international pressure and accept international dictates. For these people Zimalian officials are all corrupt and would just accept bribes from foreigners. They can’t imagine that Zimalia has a very strict rule of law and Zimalians prosecutors would immediately launch an investigation if anything remotely illegal would take place. “

The civil war in the state of Merina continues but that hasn’t stopped Polakis Energy from seeing the potential there

In a recent interview, Thanasis Polakis the owner of the largest oil and gas company in the Empire has talked about the state of the international oil and gas industry and briefly touched the situation in Merina. Mr. Polakis has downplayed some of the alarmist reports about the chaos in the country and has instead insisted there is a lot of potential for business and that Merinan Economic Coalition have done an excellent job handling the the oil and gas sector.

“I am no politician and I do not do politics. I have no opinion on the conflict taking place there, what I will comment is on the very important industry of oil and gas that exists in that country. That part of Merina’s economy, my analysts inform me, has been largely unscathed and is exporting at a steady rate. That tells me that the situation in Merina is exaggerated by the international media and that  Merinan Economic Coalition have done an excellent job in a very difficult environment.”

When asked if there could be a potential cooperation between Polakis Energy and Merinan Economic Coalition, Mr. Polakis has diplomatic saying:

“Polakis Energy has global aims and thus is in constant contact with various international partners trying to find mutually beneficial agreements.  “

So far the Tamoran government has not issued any statements on the situation in Merina but sources close to the Foreign office have stated the government is closely monitoring the situation.

Tamora 3 - 0 Theocracy of Kaitaine in women’s soccer game

The Tamoran national squad played for the first time against the representatives of the Theocracy of Kaitaine. The match took place in the federated kingdom of Attica where soccer is very popular. The head of the Tamoran Soccer Association was pleased to meet Ambassador Verspasian and has also commented that he was impressed by the excitement the foreign team displayed during the singing of their national anthem: “Rarely have I seen such devotion during the singing of the national anthem and I have watched quite a few matches as you can imagine. I have to say the Theocracy is blessed to have such dedicated people. They are an example for all of Mundus”.

Djerb religious art exhibition and auction exceeded expectations

Djerb religious art exhibition and auction exceeded expectations

The Manist Great Temple complex in Djerb, the heart of Djerb and the whole Empire. It is here that the exhibition of religious art took place

More than seventy thousand people visited the religious art exhibition in the imperial capital. The exhibition was opened 24-7 so that the Temple Complex could accommodate the large influx of visitors. Visitors came from all over the Empire and beyond attracted by an impressive collection of religious art. This year’s exhibition featured a premiere, for the first time the international section of the exhibition featured a section with religious art from the Theocracy of Kaitaine.

What could be considered the main event took place during the weekend when the auction of various art pieces took place. Among the bidders were some of the most important people in Tamora including the two richest individuals Musaevna Kadyrov and Gholam Dabiri. An unexpected appearance was that of Jamshid Safavid , Crown Prince of Tamora.  It is one of the few public appearances since he was named the next successor by Emperor Abbas. The Safavid dynasty was also represented by Alya Safavid the First Wife of the Emperor and the mother of the Crown Prince. There were also participants from other countries: like the ambassador Verspasian Atreides of the Theocracy of Kaitaine and Princess Thekla of Royal Seleucuid.

The auction saw a impressive 105 million dinars (USD) spent on religious art by the winning bidders, a 5% increase over the previous year and well beyond what the experts anticipated. The works of Dorri Kaviani were among the favorite with Gholam Dabiri bidding 1.05 million dinars (usd) for one of her works. Crown Prince Jamshid Safavid also bought a painting by Dorri Kaviani paying 0.75 million dinars. Princess Thekla of Royal Seleucid proved to have similar tastes and paid 0.5 million for a painting by the same artist.

Foreign artists also proved popular with bidders, one such example being a painting by an artist from the Thocracy of Kaitaine which was sold for 100 thousand dinars to Musaevna Kadyrov.

At the auction many of the bidders preferred discretion and hired law firms to represent them at the auction. While in previous years such a phenomenon was a rare occurrence, in recent years in has increased, a fact that has not gone unnoticed and was criticized by Mr. Gholam Dabiri who said that “I am simple man, I was born in rural Tamora and it is there that I have lived all my life. I fail to see why a rich individual would hide behind a lawyer rather than show himself. We Tamorans do things in the open, we don’t hide. I fail to see the point of paying a lawyer to spend my money. “ Mr. Dabiri has one of the most valuable private collection of paintings in the Empire with experts estimating its value at a quarter of a billion dinars (USD). When asked of the value of his collection he quickly dismissed the estimates saying “They are all wrong, my collection is priceless. “

Spoiler: highlights of the exhibition and auction • show

Carved in marble, the Veiled Virgin is one of the most famous sculptures from the federated kingdom of Attica.

Religious works from the Theocracy of Kaitaine were featured in the International section of the exhibit.

Dorri Kaviani’s latest painting was bought by Gholam Dabiri for a record 1.05 million dinars (usd).

The crown prince of Tamora paid 0.75 million dinars for one of the famous paintings by Dorri Kaviani about life in the federated kingdom of Altai.

Princess Thekla of Royal Seleucid also bought a piece by Dorri Kaviani for half a million dinars (usd).

Musaevna Kadyrov took an interest in international art and bought a pierce featuring a lecture being given by a prominent Reverned Mother back on the original Chapterhouse.

Ambassador Verspasian Atreides of the Theocracy of Kaitaine bought several pieces including the one above for 10 thousand dinars (USD).

Developer Sadeghi Group has announced an investment of 500 million dinars in the Royal Seleucid resort

Developer Sadeghi Group has recently announced that it has purchased land in the Royal Seleucid resort that was recently nationalized following the betrayal of the Lodjan wife of the late King Akakios. The land is one of the large “braches” of the main artificial island. The developer has announced that it will build some 80 luxury villas which will be priced starting from 4 million dinars and going as far as 8 million in the case of the jewel of the artificial branch: the largest of the villas. Furthermore, the developer has announced the island will also feature a Manist chapel the size of one of the villas so the owners spending time of the artificial peninsula can have their religious needs satisfied.

Sarafian Shipyards have further expansion and also cooperation with Quintelian companies

The spokesperson of Sarafian Shipyards took the press by surprise when they informed the public that Sarafian Shipyards will expand far beyond what was initially announced a couple of weeks ago. But the news didn’t stop there; the spokesperson has stated that the future “world class” shipyard will be built in cooperation with several Quintelian companies which will provide the critical expertise needed for a project that size, with an estimated three hundred Quintilian engineers and technicians working or the site and various Quintelian equipment being used for the construction of the shipyard. All costs relating to the expansion will be covered by the Tamoran Imperial Navy. The Department of the Navy (DN)has also confirmed the information adding that a series of Imperial decries will be issued in the following day which allow the Quintelian involvement in the project. DN has also stated that the construction of the shipyard as well as any ships built there will be exempt from tariffs on Quintelian imports adding that the shipyard could potentially build Quintelian ships. Sources close to DN have stated that at the request of the Quintelian counterparts, the shipyard including the construction and subsequent shipbuilding there will not use slave labor of any kind.

This level of cooperation between Tamora and a foreign power, especially one outside the Midaranye region, in such a sensitive area is unprecedented and has left many analysts surprised. Quintelia is a member of OPEN and has provided substantial help during the Midanraye food crisis. Some analysts have suggested that OPEN despite being an organization oriented towards oil and gas has nevertheless managed to create an institutional framework that has allowed members states to come together and thus create opportunities for cooperation outside the stated goals of the organization. With the kingdom of Clysperis likely being accepted to OPEN, Tamoran analysts now believe that OPEN’s influence will further increase and that more such bilateral agreements and investments are likely to occur between members states.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Local news: Attica and Christians from all over the Empire celebrated the Resurrection of Christ

TINS notice to viewers: This news report is done by our local partner in the federated kingdom of Attica.

Attica Chanel 1- news anchor

This Sunday, on the 28th of April,  Christians from all over the Empire celebrated the Resurrection of Christ. Following a centuries old tradition the Patriarchy of Attica brought the Holy Fire from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalim in neighboring Vanora. Once brought to Tamora the Holy Fire was distributed to Christian communities all over the kingdoms of Tamora.

In Alaverdi , the capital of our kingdom millions took part in the religious service that was held at midnight inundating the city in a sea of lit candles. At Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, Patriarch Gregory Peter XX Ghabroyan made the announcement during the homily that 7 bishops of the Church will be made saints for the their martyrdom. The seven were detained for years in Djerb following the annexation of Attica in 1958. Three of them died in detention while the other four died soon after their release in 1968. The announcement was criticized by many in Djerb as a step backwards for inter faith relations. Patriarch Gregory Peter XX Ghabroyan also asked the faithful to spread the news of the resurrection of Christ to all those around them.

The Queen of Attica also gave a short speech talking about the importance of faith and the impact Christ had in Midaranye and how his message has spread to all four continents of Mundus.

Unfortunately, there were also some regretable incidents. Almost two dozen foreign tourists were detained by the local police in Attica, most of them from neighboring Venora and Safren. They were detained for 24 hours for disturbing the peace and were then handed over to imperial authorities who arranged for their immediate expulsion and subsequent ban from entering Tamora for at least ten years. According sources close to the police, the tourists engaged in indecent and inappropriate behavior while in church and refused to leave the premises when asked by the priests or parishioners. The Foreign Office briefly commented on the incidents by reminding foreign tourists that although they are welcome to visit the Empire their entry to Tamora remains a privilege the Empire allows as long as they follow the laws of the country.

Spoiler:  main highlights • show

This year as in previous years the miracle of the Holy Fire in Venora happened again.

By plane the Holy Fire was brought to Attica.

In Alaverdi, the capital of Attica, during the night only Christian churches were lit encouraging the faithful to come to service.

The churches could not cope with the huge numbers of faithful coming to service.

In northern Attica, some in the Arab Christian community have heeded request of Patriarch Gregory Peter XX Ghabroyan to spread the news of the resurrection by more unusual means.

[/spoiler]

Until next time, Attica Chanel 1 staff spreads the message that Christ is Risen and leaves you with the Paschal troparion in three languages including Arabic and Seleucid.

The International Manist religion Olympiad for women announced its winner

Alima Said, the winner of the 2019 Olympiad for Manist religion, outside the Great Temple of Djerb.

Djerb hosted the finals of the International Manist religion Olympiad for women this week. They early contest was launched in 1970 by the Manist Church for pre-college students from Tamora and Manist communities from all over Mundus who practice and study the faith extensively and are interested in competing to see which has more knowledge of the faith. Students from Tamora and countries like Royal Selecuid, Clysperis, Quintelia, Zimalia, Socram, Pardclinnia and others attended the contest. Unfortunately, students from Slava Lavosk could not attend the event this year because of the recent crisis and the persecution the community is facing in Slava. The winner of the competition was the 17 year old Alima Said from the kingdom of Clysperis. She got a perfect score of 100 something that only once before was achieved in the history of the contest. She is the first Clysperi to win the Olympiad and has made her parents but also the Manist community, numbering over 3 million souls, of Clysperis very proud of her achievement. This year the subject of the essay was the martyrdom of Dilara Haghighi which was crucified by the Slavans earlier this year.

Alima received the award from Alya Safavid herself and was later given the honor of having a private audience with the Supreme Ayatollah who personally gave her a copy of the Book of many with his personal signature on it. She also gave us a short interview after leaving the Great Temple. Here are the main highlights:

-Why did you choose to take part in the Manist Olympiad rather than spend time studying something that will bring you more material benefit?
- I study others subjects too but Manism is not just a subject or a hobby is a way of life, a commitment. My parents and my grandparents especially thought me and my siblings the importance of religion in our daily lives. While my parents were born in the days when Clysperis was a protectorate of Tamora, my grandparents were not so lucky they lived under the SSR of Clysperis and experienced the full brunt of the persecution the soviets committed against our community and much of the population.

-You got a perfect score for the essay about Dilara Haghighi, something that was achieved only once before in the history of the contest. You also got a perfect score at the general knowledge questions but that happens from time to time. How did you manage to get that perfect score at the essay?
-I think aside from studying the faith and knowing its precepts what I hope I managed to transpire in my essay is the deep admiration and respect I have for Dilara Haghighi. She has been an inspiration for me and many my age in the Manist community of Clysperis. We know from our grandparents and from our Imams the persecution our community faced during the soviet occupation of Clysperis so when we saw what was happening to the Manist community in Slava it moved us deeply because that happened to us just a few decades ago. Seeing Dilara crucified by the Slavans shocked our entire community to the core in a way I have never experienced.

-We have seen Pharaoh Bektaten showing support for MIACHD, an NGO that is fighting hard to stop persecution against Manists and Manistophobia around Mundus. Some have criticized her move as either as posturing before her visit to Tamora or just as unnecessary. What do you think? How is the Manist community faring in Clysperis?
-The community is prospering and relations have never been better between us and the Kemetic Orthodoxy faith, the majority religion of the kingdom. The Manist community has experienced great hardships during the soviet occupation. My grandmother told me how she cried every time when she went outside because she couldn’t wear the hijab and was forced everyday to choose between going against her faith and risking the persecution of the authorities. My grandfather told me how in school he was asked by the teachers in public to eat pork as to not prove he is a practicing Manist. My grandparents married in secret during the night and with only the Imam present for the ceremony since they were too afraid others might spot them and turn them to the authorities. Soon after they got married the imam was detained by the authorities for practicing Manism without a “license” and sentenced to hard labor and despite my grandparents fearing he would evntualy break and tell the authorities their names that never happened. Things like that were common throughout our community.  I think HM Pharaoh Bektaten is aware this history, has seen what is happening is Slava Lavosk and is determined to take all measures to stop such hatred against us ever taking root in Clysperis.

-Do you have a message for Tamorans and Tamora in general?
-To Tamorans I say that you have no idea how lucky you are to be practicing your religion in peace without fear of persecution from the authorities. Many of us living outside Tamora have either relatives who experienced such persecutions or are currently experiencing it themselves. To Tamora and especially its government I ask it to do more for the Manist communities outside its borders. While in Clysperis we are fortunate now and enjoy the freedoms to practice our religion in peace that is not the case in many places. The fact that the government of Tamora was so slow to react to the detainment of Tamorans in Slava is something that it should feel ashamed of. It has now finally mobilized the army but that did not happen in time to save Dilara. There is also the issue of Socram, it hardly gets any mention in the Tamoran media. That country has been for decades under martial law. First under the regime of King Socram which has been extremely brutal and it continues to be under martial law now under the current regime. I have seen Lady Alya Safavid mentioning the situation of the Manist community living on Socram Island but Tamora needs to do more than just talk. Millions of Manists are living there and need Tamora’s help now not tomorrow.

-And message from back home?
-I thank all who have helped me: my parents, my brothers and sisters, my Imam, my teachers but most of all my grandparents, after all you have been through I know how much it means to you to be able to see your granddaughter meeting the Supreme Ayatollah. I wish you could have been here with me. God bless Clysperis! God bless Tamora!

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Midaranye Commodity Exchange announces that commodities from SICR (China) will be traded on the exchange

TINS news anchor

The spokesperson for Midaranye Commodity Exchange announced that after a series of long negotiations MCE would see state companies from SICR (China) trade on the exchange:

“A new milestone has been reached. I am proud to announce that MCE will see state companies from SCIR trade here. At first that would mean gas, minerals and agricultural products. While the SCIR companies will trade part of their commodities on the exchange to better diversify options for trade, we hope they will increase the share allocated to MCE in the future as they work more with us.

MCE is now a global exchange with companies trading commodities here from three continents: Cotf Aranye, Alba Karinya and now Ardia. And, God willing, we will not stop here.”

Critics of Clysperis’ state visit to Tamora silenced as the young Pharaoh dazzles the people by kneeling at the Cemetery of Martyrs in Djerb

Pharaoh Bektaten’s visit to Tamora although not necessarily controversial has been met with some serious criticism by a sizable portion of the civil society. While relations between the two countries have always been good, the close relations have nevertheless upset a good portion of the public for what they have seen it as ignoring Abydos which, despite having a majority Muslim population, has never once had its Pharaoh Enna Amenei invited to Tamora. Among the critics of Clysperis’ visit to Tamora was even the king of the federated kingdom of Altai.

However, after the speech given at the Cemetery of Martyrs and the symbolic gesture of Pharaoh Bektaten to kneel there as a sign of the respect to the soldiers that died to free Clysperis from the soviet occupation, public opinion changed drastically in favor of the visit. Furthermore, the editorial published during the second day of the visit yet written before the Pharaoh departed for Tamora further cemented the positive opinion of the public. Pharaoh Bektaten popularity skyrocketed among the public and although there’s no available data just yet, many expect it to have reached that of the Soter royal family of RS.

The Theocracy of Kaitaine is now recognized by Clysperis as the legitimate government of Kaitaine

Clysperis’ state visit to Tamora has already begun to show its fruits as the Theocracy of Kaitaine has been recognized as the legitimate government of Kaitaine. This is despite the immense pressure from the First Empire of Rokenjima which has threatened all Mundus nations with a total breakdown in relations and trade of any country that dares to recognize the Theocracy without their consent. The kingdom of Clysperis is now the second government to recognize the Theocracy as the legitimate government and it seems Midaranye is leading the way on this new trend despite massive opposition from both the First Empire but also East Moreland.
So far the First Empire has not issued any press statement regarding the latest developments from Crysperis.

MIACHD opens its first foreign branch following Pharaoh Bektaten’s invitation

MIACHD, an NGO focused on combating hate and discrimination against Manists and Tamorans in general, has announced that it has opened its first branch outside of the Empire. Khezu, the capital of Clysperis, was chosen and it now hosts a staff of two dozen people, most of them Clysperi.

Iman Ali Montazeri, the founder of MIACHD was present in  Clysperis for the opening of the branch and had this to say:

“Opening our first foreign branch is more than just a signal of growth of our organization; it means our message is getting across. Since I founded the organization with the help of God, we have fought many battles raging from the Pope of ES to the King of Seaforth, from the hate group Freestone Abolitionist Society to the Empress of Rokkenjima. We have always been polite yet told the truth to the world: that rich nations like Rokenjima, EM, Seaforth, Lodja and others are engaged in an economic war against Tamora. We have exposed how the founders of FAS have used the issue of slavery for personal gain and their own enrichment. And most recently, we went so far as to tell the world that chemical attacks against women and children in Seitch( Kaitaine ) is something to be condemned and not to be defended.

Pharaoh Bektaten has shown us that she has listened to our struggle and for that I thank her. I pray to God that other heads of state and important people will follow her lead.”

The latest book by Imam Ashan Kayani titled “Who is the Kwisatz Haderach? And how is he related to Manism” has been banned by several bookstores

The latest book by Imam Ashan Kayani has created a huge controversy in the Empire with many in the Manist community calling it haram. Dozens of Imams have already asked the faithful to not buy the book and not encourage heresy. Several bookstores have removed the book from sale as have some of the online book retailers. The largest opposition came from the Manist community in the Imperial Enclave where Imams have already held sermons openly criticizing the book. In other kingdoms the reactions has been more mixed.

The book makes some outlandish or even outrageous statements claiming that the savior of the Bene Gesserit is in fact connected to Manism and that’s just the beginning, the book makes further “speculations”. Imam Ashan Kayani has however denied statements that the book is heretical and has said that people have criticized his book without reading it. In the interest of fairness we have invited the Imam in a future show to talk more at length about the book as to dispel some of the confusion surrounding it.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Interview with Imam Ashan Kayani about his latest book about the Bene Gesserit

The interview with Imam Ashan Kayani took place outside the Great Temple in Djerb. The beauty of the temple is according to Imam Kayani the reason he had decided to become an Imam in the first place.

We have previously reported about the controversy created after Imam Ashan Kayani has released his latest book “Who is the Kwisatz Haderach? And how is he related to Manism” which some of the Imams of our faith have already called heretical and have asked the faithful not to read. Imam Ashan Kayani has dismissed these accusations and further claimed that those that criticised his book have not read it. We have therefore asked Imam Ashan Kayani to give us an interview to better explain what his book is about and what the message that he is trying to promote is.

-Dear Imam, thank you so much for accepting our invitation. With your permission I would like to start by asking you why write a book about the Bene Gesserit? There are hardly any members of this religion in Tamora and despite opening relations with the Theocracy of Kaitaine it is very unlikely that we will see an influx of Bene Gesserit members in the Empire.
-Thank you for giving me the chance to better explain my book and my message. To answer your question, the Bene Gesserit is a bit of a mysterious religion. There is very little written about them by non Bene Gesserit members and combined with the fact the religion has stayed hidden for over a century there is a lot of need to analyze and learn about this religion if we are to proselytize effectively. Yes, there are very few BG faithful in Tamora but we need not wait until their number grows in order to start preparing how to convert them. Also, their physical presence in Tamora is one thing; their online presence is a whole different matter. There’s already a woman soldier that has a blog where she talks about her experience fighting for her religion. It’s hard to estimate how many Tamorans follow her but there could be tens of thousands. Many of our youth are asking questions about them and naturally they come first to us their imams for answers. We have to be ready with knowledge in order to be able to answer them or they will look elsewhere for answers. So I began my work not with the intent of creating controversy but with the mission of understanding the Bene Gesserit in order to better combat its wrong teachings.

-And in your quest to understand them you found out their religion is true?
-Absolutely not, that is a gross distortion of my book and what I support. What the books explains it that some of their faith is true and confirms what our holy Book of Mani says and offers further information that shows a larger picture. In no way can that be interpreted that the Bene Gesserit as a whole is the true religion.

-So what parts of their religion are true?
-It hard to summarize in a couple of phrases entire chapters of my book. With that said, I believe that the teaching that some people are born with some “godlike” attributes it’s true. I firmly believe that the Prophet Mani was truly blessed by God otherwise he could not have given us not just the Holy Book but also lay the groundwork for the Tamora we have today. The same is true for the other minor prophets: Mohammed of Abydos and Jesus of Vanora.

-That doesn’t sound so controversial. What else?
- Another major aspect that I think they get right is what they call Kwisatz Haderach, a savior that will “lead the whole of humanity against a threat that would wipe out all life in the world”. It is for this reason their faith is so obsessed bloodlines, they think they can create this savior. I think there is enough circumstantial evidence so far to say that the Kwisatz Haderach is related to the existence of the Safavid imperial family. That one day, we don’t know when, one of the members of Safavid dynasty will be blessed by God to lead Tamora against a titanic struggle against the nations of Mundus. We already see the first signs; Slava Lavosk is close to having nuclear weapons and is threatening to wipe us off the map. Other nations which seemly have no connection with Slava or between them all act against Tamora. Look at the Morelanders which first said that they would offer a technical help to help save millions of Tamorans from a nuclear attack only to have it withdrawn when we accepted their offer yet they moved that same equipment to Midaranye to protect the nation they claim has committed genocide against the Helusian community. We see Rokkenjima break all ties with Tamora almost out of the blue. This shows an orchestrated move against us. It would make sense that under such threat, God will not abandon us.

-What does the BG get wrong?
-Well, a lot of things. For once there is no need for this Kwisatz Haderach to “reveal a new set of laws to humanity to lead them into a paradise upon Earth and ensure each person a place in the afterlife” as they claim. We already have the set of rules: we have the book of Mani. And it stood the test of time. While the much older religions like Islam, Christianity, Anahitaism, Helusianism change their ways according to the times, our remain the same. Our ancestors worshiped the one true God, we do it too, they rejected usury, divorce, immodesty, alcohol etc we do the same today. The Book of Mani specifically mentions slavery as a necessary part of society, Tamora still has it today. Another thing the BG gets wrong is their obsession with breeding the Kwisatz Haderach. This shows a lack of belief in the omnipotence of God, He has laid the laws: the book of Mani, He has given us leadership: the Safavid family and when He decides, he will send a savior as one of the Safavids to help us conquer those that are currently plotting against us.

-That is indeed a lot to take it. I would like to ask you what you are going to do with the growing numbers of critics that say your views are heretical.
-We are all allowed to have opinions, there’s one forum that can decide if views are heretical and that is the Synod of our Church. Only them through the voice of the Supreme Ayatollah can decide that what I write and say is against the Book of Mani.

-And if the Synod decides that your views are heretical what will you do?
-I will personally burn my books in the courtyard of the Great Temple of Djerb and ask that my books no longer be sold, distributed or read. I will further donate all the money I made from the book to the Church.

-How is the book selling and has something good come out of this controversy?
-So far more than quarter a million copies have been sold and sales are still going strong despite the calls for boycott. If there is one good thing out of this controversy, a controversy which by the way I regret causing since I do not wish to see our faith divided, is that the book has stirred interest in the non Manist communities of Tamora. Nothing pleases me more than seeing non Manists reading about our Prophet, about our laws and this book is really about that in the end.

-What are your future plans?
-I want to see my book distributed outside Tamora, especially in the countries with large Manist communities like Socram, Clysperis, Pardclinnia, Quintelia and others. I have also contacted the Tamoran Cultural Center and I believe we can come to an agreement for them to distribute the book to Zimalia and any future country they might open branches in. Should the Synod not decide against my views I plan on continuing my studies and directly contacting the Bene Gesserit in order to better understand them as I write a second book on them.

-It is an unusual book and one that I believe we will hear more about. Thank you so much for agreeing to the interview.
-Thank you.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Deputy Head of OPEN Thanasis Polakis visits Quintelia
« Reply #82 on: May 12, 2019, 08:11:27 PM »
Deputy Head of OPEN Thanasis Polakis visits Quintelia

Thanasis Polakis and his First Wife Eliana during their visit to Quintelia.

The recently appointed Deputy Head of OPEN, Thanasis Polakis, has gone on three day tour to Quintelia. It is the first OPEN country that the he visits since being appointed as Deputy Head with many interpreting the choice as a sign of just how important the Quintelian Oil and Gas industry is for OPEN.  Mr. Polakis however is was not on his visit to the country since earlier this year he had also visited Quintelia in an attempt to promote the Haghighi dam that is being constructed in Zimalia.

The three day tour saw Mr. Polakis meeting with Omarelle Dizon, the magnate that owns not just the famous Dizon Farms but also Dizon Oil, Nestor Sebo the CEO of Seaoil and other important people of the Oil and Gas industry in Quintelia.

On his first day, Mr. Polakis visited the Lungsod region of Quintelia which is one of the two major Oil and Gas centers of the country. Mr. Polakis stated that he was interested in the region not just for the fact that the region now is a major player in the industry but also because it was here that the oil exaction industry began in Quintelia. Mr. Polakis together with the Quintelian oil magnates also visited the oil rigs off the coast in the Quintopia Bay where he gave a short speech saying:

“I came here to visit Lungsod not just because the region is booming in oil but also because it is here that the oil industry started in Quintelia in 1978. That’s more than 40 years of history that should be celebrated. More than 40 years of powering the Quintelian economy, of creating tens of thousands of jobs, numerous technical advances and patents in the extraction industry, greatly increasing the standard of living of the region and bringing tens of billions of pesos(ooc: 1 peso = 0.5 USD) in taxes to the Quintelian government. So I came here to tell the people working that their contribution to the national economy and indeed Mundus as a whole has not gone unnoticed.“

On his second day of his tour, Mr. Polakis visited Bulataan province, the other major oOil extraction center of Quintelia. Just as in the previous day, Mr. Polakis together with Quintelian businessmen visited a refinery and talked to workers at the site. At the end of the day he gave a short press statement:

“I had the pleasure of talking with the employees working in the Seaoil refinery behind me and it’s been an absolute pleasure. The people are down to earth and have asked me why is that we hear so much about green energy when the Mundus economy is powered by fossil fuel? And I agree with them, that’s why we founded OPEN. It’s not so that our monarchs can meet in faraway Ipsus (Royal Seleucid) but to make the case and bring a voice to this underappreciated industry of Mundus. So things will change in the future, we will see more talk about Oil &Gas now that the industry has a voice thanks to OPEN. I also had the pleasure to talk more with Mr. Omarelle Dizon and he has assured me that Quintelia will soon nominate its Deputy Head of OPEN which I look forward to work with. I have also had the pleasure of talking to a father and son that were both working in the refinery. This shows the tradition that already exists in Quintelia and in all OPEN countries, generation after generation working in the industry, passing the knowledge and experience from father to son. These wonderful people not just work in the industry, they have dedicated their lives to it, they love working in it and are now teaching their children to also work in it. “

In the third day, Mr. Polakis visited several technical schools and colleagues that prepare their students to become the future foremen, industrial managers, technical supervisors of Quintelia. Mr. Polakis was impressed by the close cooperation between these technical schools and the oil companies of the country. Dizon Oil, Seaoil and others have agreements with the public schools which allow students to work as interns and gain experience working part time for the companies so that when they graduate they have not just the technical knowledge but also the experience to immediately get a job in the industry.

Talking to a class full of students Mr. Polakis was not afraid to criticize some Mundus nations:

“I want to tell you just how important the Oil and Gas industry is for all OPEN countries including Quintelia. I am not going to talk to you about investments, taxes and that sort of things but something else: the brain drain. In Tamora we talk all the time about how some of our best minds go to study abroad and eventually get jobs there and never return home. Tamora loses some of its best minds and the rich foreign countries like Rokkenjima, East Moreland and others gain from this phenomenon. One of the industries that is bucking the trend is oil and gas. The starting salary in the industry is above the national average. So young people like you don’t have to go aboard, they can stay in their own countries and help their nations grow.

And one more thing I want to add, I am not against renewable energy. In fact OPEN’s charter expressly mentions and mandates investments in renewables. However, it’s one thing to be for renewable energy and another to be against Oil and Gas industry; and unfortunately lately I see more and more how the rich countries of Mundus are attacking oil and gas. This industry that is keeping young people in their home countries, this industry that invests a lot in R&D and has its main R&D centers in OPEN countries is being deliberately attacked by them. Apparently, the rich countries are not content with dominating the IT industry, the communications industry, financial services etc they also want to ruin Oil and gas and have our scientists and our best minds move from OPEN countries to theirs where they’ll research green energy. Well I am sorry, you can’t have everything. You can’t have agriculture as Dizon farms, Jalal Deer AC and other prove. And you can’t have oil and gas. I will make it my mission to protect this industry from these foreign lobby groups that plague Mundus. And this is not because some rich people meet in Ipsus (Royal Selecuid) and want to protect their wealth. No, they are already wealthy, it’s because it’s a national issue. We care about our countries and we want young people from OPEN countries to have a future in their own countries and oil and gas is big part of that.”

Later that day Mr. Polakis has also met with the leaders of the Tamoran community in Quintelia and has also attended religious service with his wife at one of the Anahita temples in the capital.

During his trip Mr. Polakis was also asked to comment on the fact that Quintelia has issued sanctions against Tamora following the decision of the Ardian assembly and that Quintelia is now part of the SANE alliance. Mr. Polakis however declined to comment on these issues saying that they fall both outside the scope of OPEN and of the energy sector in general. He has also added that he has seen no change in the cohesion of OPEN member countries despite the recent Ardian Assembly (of which Quintelia is part of) sanctions. As expected, one journalist asked Mr. Polakis if he owns any slaves to which Mr. Polakis laughed and simply asked for the next question.

Tamora wins third place in the MFA World Cup

Our team has managed to win third place in the Mundus soccer World Cup beating all expectations especially when considering this was the first time our country attended the sporting event and that soccer remains a regional sport popular especially in the South, in the federated Kingdom of Attica. The coach of the team said that following the great result of the team he expects the popularity of the sport to increase in Tamora.

The Theocracy of Kaitaine liberates another city

Harko is the latest city to be liberated by the Theocracy of Kkaitaine with analysts estimating that between 30-40% of the country is now under the control of the legitimate government of the Theocracy. Furthermore, Secundas one of the major cities in Kaitaine seems to now be cut off from the rest of the rebel territory.  However, despite these gains, the area that is controlled by the government remains sparsely populated with the overwhelming majority of the population still living under the control of the rebvel government. The Foreign Office has already appealed to the rebels to stop the fighting and to allow the peaceful transition of power to the Theocracy but analysts expect the message will have no impact on the development of the situation on the ground as the revel forces seem determined to keep their grip on the country no matter the costs.

Bene Gesserit singer Lilias MacIomhair tops the Attican music chart

It would seem the recent talk about the Bene Gesserit has led to an increase awareness of the faith in some parts of Tamora. Most recently, in the federated kingdom of Attica we have seen the BG singer Lilias MacIomhair having its single at the top of the chart for two weeks. While the Attican music chart often features foreign singers, it is nevertheless the first time when a BG has entered the chart let alone to the number one spot. So far the single has not made it to the top of the other federated kingdoms charts. According to sources close to the music industry, she might be invited to have a concert in Attica but it’s not clear yet if there is any interest on the BG side since the singer is now very popular and has a busy schedule in UC.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

How the Soviet government of Kaitaine abuses its people

How the Soviet government of Kaitaine abuses its people

TINS news anchor

The soviet government is losing ground fast as more and more cities are being liberated from the hands of the Soviet government of Kaitaine. However, as important as military operations are, they do not offer a whole picture of what is happening in Kaitaine.

Our special investigative team at TINS set out to try and find out what is driving the people of Kaitaine to fight against the soviet government. They have met with BG members that have told them of how since the formation of the Theocracy of Kaitaine a total of 42 children have gone missing. Over the last few weeks several children have been removed from mainstream schools within Arrakeen and have not been seen since. Of the 42 children half have had parents charged with crimes of being connected to the Bene Gesserit while the others have simply been friends of those children. Some of the children were photographed being manhandled out of their schools.

But the Soviet government didn’t stop there, following reports of random searches resulting in torture a covert film from an undercover of the Bene Gesserit has recorded the KDF breaking into a student block of flats and searching students’ belongings. One student was discovered with a book in Cenneg, which was evidence enough of the man being linked to the Bene Gesserit. He was tied to a post outside the block and publically flogged as a warning to others. He was then taken away never to be seen again.

The Bene Gesserit which have provided the information and pictures have also told us that as shocking as the pictures are they are unfortunately common occurrences in the areas that are controlled by the Soviet government. Furthermore, it shows that when the Soviet government is using TU-160s to spray chemicals over the civilian population of the Theocracy claiming it does so for agricultural reasons, only fools believe them.
The Empire of Tamora and the Kingdom of Clysperis are the first countries to recognize the Theocracy of Kaitaine as the legitimate government of the country and to deny recognition to the Soviet government. More nations will need to step up and do the same if they want the Soviets to stop abusing the population. A first step would be for the First Empire of Rokkenjima to stop providing aid to the Soviet government. They have changed their minds many times in the past; it’s time they do it again.

East Moreland uses tragedy to further their political agenda and spread its influence

Melissa Lusk of East Moreland gave a heart breaking speech talking about youth homelessness in the city of Foshir, Orphela. Hearing her speak one could be forgiven for believing her interest and concern are genuine. However, the facts do not support her claims. Orphela is a country with a GDP per capita of 60 thousands USD, that’s about 25% more than East Moreland has. Of course, helping poor people in rich countries is not a bad thing but one needs to remember who Melissa Lusk is. She has started a vile campaign of demonization of the Tamoran people and has urged governments to wage economic war against Tamora, a country 4 times poorer than East Moreland and more than five times poorer than Orphela. She couldn’t care less then if Tamorans would be hurt by the sanctions advocated by her organization, in fact all she cared then like she does now was making a name for herself and increasing donations for her organizations. Our viewers will remember that it is the organization that she founded that received a donation of 1 bln USD from the Catholic Pope.

The fact that Mr Lusk has a personal agenda and is working closely with the Morelander government explains why she has a sudden interest about what happens in a city from one of the most opulent countries in Mundus that is on a different continent than East Moreland, when next door Zimalia has more than 100 million black people living in abject poverty. That is not to say we here believe Ms. Lusk is a racist, she just doesn’t care about refugees or humanitarian crises unless it helps her personally and the agenda of her government.

It remains to be seen how the Orphela Imperium, one of the richest countries in Mundus,  that is known for its isolationist streak will react to the East Moreland offer. Will they stand their ground and tell them the Imperiam doesn’t need outside help and can solve its problems on its own or will it bow down ? While things like national pride would make you believe that the former would be the case, Mundus history teaches us that the latter is more probable.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Spoiler: show

The Tamoran population breaks the quarter of a billion mark
« Reply #84 on: May 26, 2019, 08:29:00 AM »
The Imperial Institute for Statistics (IIS) confirms: the Tamoran population breaks the quarter of a billion mark

A Tamoran family welcoming its latest member

According to data form the ISS, the Tamoran population has seen a massive increase in population last year of about 1% from 249,962,635 to 252,439,936, an increase of almost 2.5 million people, that’s more than the entire populations of the Heyran Conglomerate and Nemerie combined. The increase in population was thanks to the remarkably high fertility rate among Tamoran women which remained almost unchanged from 3.01 to 3.02 last year. Emigration last year saw a 25% increase to 129,101. According to ISS, the foreign sanctions that have hammered the Tamoran economy and driven it into a recession are the main cause of the drastic increase in emigration numbers. Immigration to Tamora remained almost the same as in previous years: 9,975 further proof that those choosing to come to Tamora do not do so for economic reasons.

The Church of Mani released a statement praising the numbers as proof of the strength of the Tamoran family structure and values. Adding that its schools are ready to take in the ever larger number of students.
Tamora large and rapidly increasing population remains the country’s greatest strength, with experts saying that should the current rate of population growth remain unchanged, Tamora’s population would reach 343 million by 2050 and more than double at 564 million by the end of the century. People might not realize this yet but “this is the Tamoran century” said one expert.

Ayatollah Azad Arak, one of Tamora’s most respected foreign policy experts, has said that the Church of Mani is to thanked for this great achievement. “The Church constantly focuses on the message to the faithful that the role of the family is to produce offspring, women to be mothers and men to be providers. What you leave behind when you go in the afterlife are your children and grandchildren. ” The Ayatollah has also commented on the recent recession that Tamora is expressing: “I hear people talk about recession, poverty and the like but I remind people that is only material wealth that is counted. How can a family that has four children be poor when their children are invaluable? And how can a family be rich when they have no children? Tamora has never been rich in material wealth and it shouldn’t strive to be so. The focus should be on the afterlife and living a life here on Mundus according to the precepts of the Prophet. Nothing else matters in the end, they are just distractions.”

The Theocracy grows surpassing one hundred thousand people

More than one hundred thousand people in Kaitaine are now part of the Theocracy and can now pray in peace without fear of repercussions from the soviet rebel government. While the number remains small the rapid growth is what gives hope to the people of the Theocracy that their struggle will be successful, with those still stuck under the rule of the Soviets beginning to have hope that they too may one day pray and worship as they please without fear of retribution from the Soviets.
On social media, Bene Gesserit women celebrated the Theocracy’s latest victories and thanked their men for the fighting they have done so far and congratulated them for liberating Hako.

Synod of our Church to address Imam Ashan Kayani’s latest book about the Bene Gesserit

It has been confirmed today that this year Synod of our Church will discuss the Imam Ashan Kayani’s latest book about the Bene Gesserit which seems to imply there is a connection between the two faiths and which has been described by a significant number of Imams as heretical. The book continues to sell well and representatives of the Synod have so far made no request of Imam Ashan Kayani to stop promoting the book or self-censor.

The Foreign Office has officially summoned SICR ambassador to Djerb

The Foreign Office has officially sent a request to the SICR embassy in Djerb in which it summons the ambassador over the latest information that appeared in SICR’s media that states that at least one party there supports engaging in military operations that would cause an unspecified number of “deaths worldwide and severe contamination for a possible 200 years”. The Foreign Office wants to known what exactly the position of the SICR government is on the matter and how probable is such a military operation to take place in the event that Chinese SDP party wins the elections. The Foreign Office has made no comment on the SICR –Rokkeinjiman relations and remains concerned only with the potential deaths and contamination that would affect the Empire and its citizens.

Opinion piece: The fall of the First Empire and the rise of the Helusian one

Rokkenjiman Navy Aeronaval Group departing Q.A.M.B. after being kicked out by the Helusian Kings of East Moreland and Seaforth

The events of the last few days have been a clear indication of just how much of its influence Rokkenjima has lost all over Mundus. It was only a few months ago that Rokkejima announced proudly that it cuts all ties with Tamora for having the audacity to display an independent foreign policy and recognize the Theocracy as the true and only government of Kaitaine. Tamora was to be sanctioned and made an example for all nations to see what happens if you do not follow the Rokkenjiman line. However, despite the threat of sanctions Clysperis followed Tamora and also recognized the Theocracy. Just a few days ago the Senate of Neu Uburzis was evenly split on the issue of recognizing the Theocracy. Their biggest concern? Not affecting their relations with East Moreland. Rokkenjima isn’t even mentioned among their concerns.

Had that been the only news for Rokkenjima then it could have perhaps been ignored but Rokkenjima took another hit as its base in Seaforth was closed and its fleet kicked out by the two Helusian Kings. Seeing their Empire crumbling on all sides, the Rokenjiman Empress lashed out against its neighbors threatening Toshikawa and Orphela if they dare join SANE. Trying to project power the Empress basically told its neighbors what they can and cannot do when it comes to joining regional blocks. It remains to be seen if those two nations will appreciate the constriction imposed on them by Rokkenjima. But the story here is not Rokkeniman threatened its neighbors but the new low Rokkenjima has reached in feeling threatened by a regional block or alliance of developing nations. No matter how you take SANE, it remains a developing block and while noteworthy it is still far from what people consider a First World power. If SANE threatens Rokkenjima then that tells you a lot about just how weary they are of their constant losing influence. In the end what was the stated reason of concern from Rokkejima? That SANE no longer turns away potential members just because they don’t share a border. The fact that having more countries eligible to join SANE makes Rokkenjima feel threatened means they know that if given a choice, many countries would choose an alliance of developing nations rather the “protection” of a First World Empire like Rokkenjima. And who can blame them?

But there was one more event of week that shows how much Rokkenjima has fallen. The third head of the Cerberus that is the Helusian Empire, also known as Bakkermaya, summoned the nations of Ardia to talk about “Ardian Stability”. The Helusian Empire, after stripping Rokenjima of much of its influence now puts it on the same level as developing nations that have their owns fears that need to be addressed. No doubt that both SANE and Rokkenjima will answer the call of Bakkermaya just as they did last time. And I have no doubt that Rokkenjima will not only be unaware of the position they’ve been put in but they will at the end of the talks thank their Helusian masters for the way the crisis has been resolved.

Rokkenjima is the country that has issued an all-out embargo against my nation and has pushed my country in a recession that sees thousands of my people lose their jobs, income and eventually freedom. Yet I do not rejoice the fall of Rokkenjima because I know that the three headed monster that is the Helusian Empire, once it’s done with Rokkenjima, will focus all its energy on Mindaranye. While I have no doubt the Helusian Empire too will fall and suffer the fate of Rokkenjima, I fear that my nation will first have to endure a lot more hardships until that happens.

God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

LBA releases the soft/hard power report of 2018

TINS news anchor

The report ranks Tamora 12th on soft power and 7th on hard power; just above Royal Seleucid on both rankings while the Kingdom of East Moreland tops both rankings. Professor and Ayatollah Azad Arak summarized the report:

“Firstly, the report shows a Mundus dominated by rich countries with the Helusian Empire at the very top of the hierarchy. Looking at the top it now becomes apparent why the Helusians and the Rokkenjimans have launched such campaigns to demonize Tamora: they fear a Tamora that can influence Mundus affairs and can be an alternative to the world order they impose on the rest of Mundus. Uppsala Convention, MCUR and a whole series of international organizations are the creation of those powers at the top and are tools to level all developing nations and turn them into cheap copies with little identity of their own. Tamora has signed none of those treaties, joined no such organizations and does not recognize the legitimacy of the international system imposed by Helusians and Rokkenjimans and therefore Tamora must be punished.

Secondly, it confirms the fall of the First Empire and its defeat in the competition with the Helusian Empire. Rokkejima has now been downgraded to a regional power and that explains their recent initiative RSCU – a regional cooperation block, as well as their fear of SANE. They are now struggling to remain relevant in their part of the world and have Quintelia as a major competitor for the role of leader of S-E Ardia.

Thirdly, we see the Theocracy of Kaitaine has more soft power than the Soviet government. That means  that were it not for the Morelanders and their propping of the Soviets a lot more nations would recognize the Theocracy.

Lastly, it is clear that Tamora has no influence or soft power over the rich countries of Mundus so that 12th ranking for Tamora means Tamora has soft power in the developing world, in countries that feel best just how oppressive and unfair is the world order created by the current leaders of Mundus. These countries understand and sympathize with our position of not wanting to play by the rules imposed on us by foreigners. It remains to be seen if the developing world will play along to get along as Quintelia does in order to be allowed a seat at the table with the masters or will they choose like us to stay outside the system of control. Only time will tell what will happen.”

Ex Miss Lodja confirmed to be a prostitute

In news that surprised nobody, it has been confirmed that the ex Miss Lodja, Katerina Ignatiev, was indeed a registered prostitute. What everyone in Tamora knew proved to be big news in Lodja. Furthermore, in a typical Lodjan fashion more than 16 million Lodjans tuned in to watch the prostitute talk about her sex life and her ex partners. We will not provide info regarding the names of the men that the prostitute claims she has serviced as no self-respecting Tamoran would take at face value what a woman who sells her body for money says. The moral degradation of the Lodjan society reached new highs as the woman announced she will be “writing” a book about her professional “experience”.

SICR (China) addresses Tamoran concerns

After the Dragonaii ambassador to Djerb was summoned by the Foreign Office to explain the latest news appearing in SICR press about a potential nuclear strike that would leave millions dead worldwide, SICR has issued a press statement alleviating those concerns saying that in the very unlikely case that the SDP party wins the elections, the Imperial Supreme Court will veto such a plan. This proves that despite Rokkenjima’s propaganda, the government of SICR is both sensible and oriented towards peace.

The Moreland press is quick to take credit for the efforts of an organization they have labeled terrorist

The Moreland press made an ample coverage of an ex Red Legionnaire that has left the service of EM and is now fighting for the Theocracy. The underlining message of the whole report was “The fact the Bene Gesserit have so far taken two towns does not surprise me if they are listening to Gillespie(the ex Red Legionnaire)”. This proves yet again that East Moreland, the source of the Borelander terrorists, is quick to take credit of other people’s work when given the chance even if the work is done by those who they claim are terrorist.

Bene Gesserit professor offers to help Imam Ashan Kayani

The Bene Gesserit has reported on the offer of the Missionara Protectiva to send a professor to Tamora to help Imam Ashan Kayani in the coming Synod of our Church. Imam Ashan Kayani has invited Professor Ruth Hipkiss to Djerb “ to both explore and better understand the truths shared by both religions”. Depending on how the talks go Imam Ashan Kayani said he will consider petitioning the Synod for the BG Professor to be allowed to speak as an expert of the BG faith.

God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

The case of Abuqiya: a common sense approach to a border issue

The case of Abuqiya: a common sense approach to a border issue

TINS news anchor

This week a group of 37 escaped slaves were returned to Tamora. The slaves escaped with help from Abuqiyan smugglers but Abuqiyan law enforcement agents discovered their operation and arrested them together with the smugglers that helped them commit the crime. The slaves were returned to Tamora are currently detained pending their return to their owners. The regrettable incident shows just how easy it is to solve an issue such as this and is in sharp contrast to last year scandal with Slava Lavosk which not only refused to return the escaped slaves when faced with a similar incident but used it as an excuse to further its anti Tamoran rhetoric. Since Abuqiya is a nation of laws, the authorities simply enforced the laws and thus easily resolved the issue. In fact one Abuqiyan official said it best:

“The situation is this, several individuals have illegally trespassed into the territory of Abuqiya with out the approved authorization of either authority in Abuqiya or Tamora… The question of whether slavery is or is not morally right or wrong has no basis in that regard. “

A representative of the Tamoran border agency has publicly thanked and praised the excellent cooperation between the two sides in securing the border and making sure the laws of the two countries are enforced.

The Supreme Ayatollah makes a surprise announcement: he will be visiting the Kingdom of Clysperis

The faithful and the media were taking by surprise when the Supreme Ayatollah announced during his Sunday sermon at the Great Temple of Djerb that we will travel aboard to the Kingdom of Clysperis.

“We blessed to have our faith grow and spread now not only on the blessed Tamoran soil but also in foreign lands. There is yearning for the word of the Prophet and for a faith that gives people clear and unchanging answers in an ever changing Mundus, a faith that standards true to its precepts no matter how unpopular it might be or how inconvenient it is, a faith that does not change with the times. And there is a need to belong to a community that does not look to foreigners for how to do things but instead looks at the countless generations that preceded them and want nothing more than to honor them by following the same commandments they did.  As Tamorans we are unaware of just how blessed we are to be living in a country that that functions just as the Prophet envisioned. There are now 24 million faithful living outside our borders. We have seen recently in the case of our beloved martyr Dilara that some are willing to give up their lives rather than betray the faith, while other like the Clysperi maiden that just recently won the Olympiad of our religion that those outside our borders often have a much deeper understanding of our faith than most of us who were blessed to be born here. This should make us reflect when we pray each day on these exceptional individuals that love our faith though they were not fortunate to be born here. It is for this reason that I have decided to travel to the Kingdom of Clysperis to visit our Manist community there, to pray with them and to thank them for the dedication to the word of the Prophet. “

The spokesperson for the Church has said that the visit is a first of its kind in modern time and will take place without the implication or support of Tamoran authorities though he has thanked them for their offer to help. According to estimates there are approx. 3.2 million Manists in the kingdom of Clysperis or approx. 10% of the kingdom’s population and according to sources the community is exuberant after hearing the news.

God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Islamophobia rears its ugly head in Krimeon

Islamophobia rears its ugly head in Krimeon

A Muslim woman covering her face, something that mortifies some Krimeon politicians

Elections are coming in Krimeon and in the countries that allow such primitive forms of governance as elections we get to see for a short period of time what their leaders really believe. And what we have seen these days is a widespread Islamophobia rearing its ugly head in Krimeon. The Solidarity coalition (a more ironic name could not have been picked) promised “a burqa and niqab ban,” a ban on minarets and possibly even constructions of new mosques” as well as introducing “a law allowing jewelry to be stripped from refugees”. By jewelry they no doubt are referring to the dearest of religious symbols: wedding rings, crescent pendants and the likes. It would seem the Solidarity coalition has little solidarity to offer Muslims.

So why is the mighty Empire of Krimeon so afraid of a woman who dresses too much by wearing a burqa? Why are Krimeon politicians so scared to see minarets in their country?  The answer is simple: because their faith is weak and their religion is false. They know they cannot hope to convert the Islamic population to their faith so they will use any means available to stop the growth of Islam in their country.

But there is one more reason why Krimeon politicians are so “brave” and are confident enough to display their Islamophobic sentiments in public. To understand the reasons one only needs to look at the countries that have large Muslim populations and are known to be sources of emigrants: Phuebra (approx. 40% Muslim), Zimalia (approx. 30%). These countries do not have the economic, military and diplomatic clout to protect their communities aboard so cowardly Krimeon politicians pray upon the Islamic population that have arrived in Krimeon knowing full well that the current international order that is dominated by the Helusian Empire will do nothing to reprimand the Krimeon Empire for its behavior. After all, it is well known that East Moreland simply ignored Zimalian borders when it was convenient for them to do so and that Rokkenjima threatened Zimalia with military action. It is in this geopolitical environment that Krimeon politicians feel safe in abusing the Islamic population in their countries. How far are they willing to go in their disrespect of nations that are poor and do not submit the world order imposed on Mundus by the “great powers”? Again their election campaign provides the answer, they have proposed nothing else than: “criminal asylum seekers to be expelled to a reception centre in Zimalia”. Dear viewers, I am sure you must be thinking that Krimeon politicians discussed about this behind close doors with Zimalian officials, they wouldn’t be proposing it and let Zimalia hear of this from the news, right? That would mean Krimeon treats Zimalia like… well like East Moreland and Rokkenjima do.

You’d be wrong dear viewers, shortly after the news broke about the outrageous proposals, the Zimalian President during a visit to a Tamoran run community center in his country had this to say:

“Zimalia is a nation that at times struggles to feed everyone we have, we are no dumping ground. We will not be the solution to Krimeon's domestic issues."

Imagine hearing about such a proposal that seriously affects your country from the news and without having your leaders consulted. Sound familiar? It happened to us when King David of East Moreland decided, in the interest of peace probably, to withdraw the offer to protect the Tamoran population from a nuclear attack from Slava or when Rokkenjima broke relations with Tamora overnight affecting millions of Tamorans. This is the current world order that is promoted in Mundus, this is what the Helusians and their pawns mean when they say countries should join “the international community”.

The Head of Foreign affairs Alya Safavid harshly criticized Krimeon’s proposals aimed against the Islamic minority there

In a press conference at the Imperial Palace, Alya Safavid, the Head of Foreign affairs, harshly criticized Krimeon proposals “as a serious breach of religious freedom that puts Krimeon on the same path of disregarding this fundamental right as the so called Soviet government of Kaitaine”. She has further added that “after discussing with the King of the federated kingdom of Altai, I can confirm that Tamora can offer refuge to any Muslims currently residing in Krimeon that are facing discrimination because of their religion.” She also added that “Mundus is very religious, religion matters a great deal for everyone regardless of country, we have seen people like our martyr Dilara that would rather die than give up her faith. The Krimeon government should consider that before attempting to start persecuting religious minorities. “

Criticism didn’t stop there, with Lady Safavid adding “That the proposals put forward are vague and open to interpretation and that is by design as it is meant to instill fear in the Islamic community of Krimeon. I have had Islamic imams contact our embassy in Krimeon and telling us they are worried that the “minaret ban” means their mosques will have to be mutilated by having Krimeon authorities tear down their minarets.”

Lastly, in the press conference Lady Safavid also chastised Krimeon for their proposal to have criminal asylum seekers to be expelled to a reception center in Zimalia and proposing this without even a minimum for consultation with the Zimalian authorities.

“We fully support Zimalian President Elwes position on this matter. I have personally visited Zimalia twice and it is a wonderful country that is rapidly developing. I cannot imagine why would Krimeon politician imagine it is appropriate to send criminal asylum seekers there. Lastly, I would like to express our solidarity with the Muslim communities in Phuebra, Zimalia and other developing countries. Islam, despite being a minority religion, has played a vital role in the development of our society and the government of Tamora will always seek to protect the religious freedoms of Muslim at home and abroad.”

God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

The Synod of the Church formally extends invitation to BG Professor Ruth Hipkiss

Ayatollah Armoun Kamode arriving outside the embassy of the Theocracy of Kaitaine in Djerb to present the Synod's invitation to Professor Ruth Hipkiss

Earlier today the spokesperson for the Synod has confirmed that it has accepted the petition of Imam Ashan Kayani to have Professor Ruth Hipkiss as a guest at the Synod in order to help him with the testimony he is due to make before the Synod. The Imam faces accusations of heresy after in his latest book presented a series of theories claiming that there are connections between the so called mythical “ Kwisatz Haderach” of the Bene Gesserit  and the Safavid imperial family among others. If the Synod finds the Imam guilty then he could even be excluded from the Church. Imam Ashan Kayani has already stated numerous times that whatever the decision of the synod will be, he will comply and obey it without question or delay.
The Synod has extended a formal invitation to Professor Ruth Hipkiss, with Ayatollah Armoun Kamode presenting  the formal invitation to the embassy of the Theocracy of Kaitaine in Djerb.

We have invited the famous Ayatollah Azad Arak to our studio to help explain to our viewers what this means exactly and what are the implications:

-First, thank you for agreeing to come. Let’s start with telling us why did the Synod need to present a written invitation to the embassy.
- I think I should first explain what that invitation contains exactly and what it means. Of course I can’t tell you exactly what is written in it as that is something that only the person to whom it is addressed can reveal. What I can tell you is that is signed by the Supreme Ayatollah himself and the Emperor of all the kingdoms of Tamora. The letter is not just an invitation to attend but also guarantee that no harm of any kind will be done to guest regardless of what she says or does. She can break any laws in Tamora and by the order of the Emperor the guest cannot be prosecuted, she can only be detained and immediately deported. Furthermore, the letter mandates that the holder be given all possible help by Tamoran authorities in her quest to reach the Synod, so that would mean she cannot by denied a visa, withheld at the airport etc. One could of course wonder why such a letter is needed. It is a very old tradition that those that are invited to speak before the Synod on matters of faith and are not followers of the Prophet can do so freely without any fear that what they say, no matter how outrageous or heretical, will be used as an excuse for arrest or detainment. The Synod has invited Professor Ruth Hipkiss to speak and it sends a clear and public message that the synod wants her to speak before this holy institution without fear of reprimand.

-But such an event is a rare one. It is true that I am young but I still never heard of such a document before.
-This is the seventh such document issued by the Church. It is an extremely rare event and an honor that perhaps few that are not of our faith can understand. The last time it was issued was at the beginning of the XIX century and holders of such letters have been illustrious individuals such as the great Muslim Ayatollah Marvan Satrapi of the 13th century that came before the Synod to attempt to heal the rift between Islam and our faith. Three of those letters have survived to this day and are precious artifacts of our faith and our culture as a whole. Such a letter is a treasure. I am honored just to be alive and attend the Synod where that letter will be presented before the members for all to see as tradition holds.

-What has prompted the Church to react to such great extent as to invite a foreigner to attend the Synod?
-I cannot discuss the workings of the Synod , I do not have such authority. What I can say is this, the theory that is presented before the Synod is of great interest to us. The recent development in Slava Lavosk that has now publicly announced they have nuclear weapons ready to be used against us at any time, is seen as a potential proof that the theory presented by Imam Ashan Kayani is at least worth discussing. The greatest minds of our Church want to hear more about this theory and want the opinion of a member of the Bene Gesserit.

-What can happen if Imam Ashan Kayani’s theory is not deemed heretical?
-I do not know, only the Synod can decide on such an issue. That is all I can say.

-Thank you so much for being with us.
-Thank you.

Spoiler:  the 13th century invitation issued by the Synod • show

The first formal invitation issued by the Synod to a non Manist was in the 13th century to the great Muslim Ayatollah Marvan Satrapi who attempted to bridge the gap between our faith and Islam. The original invitation issued by the Synod and signed by both the Supreme Ayatollah and the Emperor is on display in the Islamic Museum of the federated kingdom of Altai.
Professor Ruth Hipkiss is the seventh non Manist individual invited to speak before the Synod in the entire history of our faith and first woman of the seven to be given this honor.

It would seem the coming synod could potentially be one of the most important ones in our lifetime because of the implications it could have to our Church and its teachings. It is hard to believe that two years ago the Bene Gesserit faith was largely unknown in Tamora. From that we went to last year’s Synod where it has discussed at length about the persecutions this faith faces in Kaitaine of the grating of refugee status for all BG members. Now we see the next council discussing if elements of BG faith could be considered truths. For us regular faithful these are unbelievable times and it reminds us of what we were taught in schools: the great Synods debates of the previous centuries when it was discussed what truths are found in the major religions of Islam and Christianity. Let us all pray for God to give our Ayatollahs wisdom for them to make the right decision whatever it may be.

Major thinkers from the University of Djerb are working on a statement of principles and a vision for the future

According to sources from the University of Djerb, some of the most prominent intellectuals of Djerb are working on a document that summarizes the Tamoran values and offer a vision on how to overcome Tamora’s present challenges. One source close to the project has said that:

“It is no secret that we Tamorans have a different set of values than most of Mundus. You can see it in our customs, in our laws and how we react to various events happening in Mundus. We often find ourselves taking a side when few other nations do or we often take a stand against most others in Mundus. One need only to look at the recent Kaitaine situation, we look at how the Atheist government there is abusing people who have faith in God and immediately we are outraged yet with few notable exceptions like Clysperis, the rest of Mundus, which is also quite religious, doesn’t care or worse takes the side of the Atheist government. Normally that wouldn’t be an issue but we also see almost half of Mundus sanctioning us in one way or the other.

It is for this reason that the project was started with the task of trying to identify and define clearly what our core values are and to try to figure a way for us overcome the obstacles most Mundus nations put against us. So far Tamora has only resisted against tremendous pressure from outside, it is constantly a nation besieged by foreigners. We seek to find another way than just resisting, to have a vision for the future. In order to have that you first need to know what our values are, then you have decide what you want to achieve and finally you can draw a vision for the future.”

The sources close to the project have said it is not clear yet what impact the statement will have if any but the goal is not to find a set of solutions but to provide inspiration to the people of Tamora.

God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!
