Multiple Stories Developing out of the CapitalNations Recognize The PrincipalityLess than 24 Hours from the Principality's initial Declaration of Independence to the International Community, Two Countries have been confirmed to Recognize The Principality's legitimacy.
Almost Immediately, The Prime Minister of the E.S. delivered a message to the Capitol and The Plantation (Prince's Residence) directly Addressed to Prince Leuk I congratulating Luuxland's independence and planting the seeds of a soon-to-be-sent delegation sent to Luuxland. Interim Arch-Advisor, Rahbin MakRyle responded in a welcoming message. MakRyle declared that the Principality's ports and borders would be open to the citizens of the E.S. The Two countries share ancestral connections, and this is believed to be the beginning of a great Friendship betwixt cousins!
Not much long after these events, The Kingdom of East Moreland made a statement via its Press Office recognizing Luuxlander Independence. King David III also extended an invitation to His Grace to travel to East Moreland for their Festival of Sail. The Prince has made no official response to this offer at this time.
Domestic NewsAs the independence celebrations wind down across Luuxland, the troubles facing the new government and her people are now no longer bridges-to-be-crossed in the far future.
The Luuxlander ConstitutionThe Constitution of Luuxland is barebones to say the least. In truth, it only details how the Monarchy, Advisory, and to some extent Provincial governments function. Indeed it even references things which do not at time of writing even exist! Such as the rights which the Monarchy may not infringe. The Interim Advisory has been reluctant to discuss the Constitution until the the Elections of the Lower-House on the first of next month.
The Establishment of the First Congregation of the AdvisoryIndependence Celebrations proved to be doubling as a political forum of ambitious politicians seeking either election in the local governments or Provincial. Some have voiced concerns that a few days is not an adequate amount of time to examine (or even learn who the candidates are) in order to vote. The Advisory has made clear that after a month has passed, Provinces and Local governments will be able to declare "Redux" if unsatisfied with their elected official. Those which do not redux will have their representatives locked-in for the full term.
As of this morning, the Upper-House of the Advisory has been finalized for the First Congregation:
