So in an attempt to broaden out the sporting calendar a little and add some diversity to it I present to you the Mundus Tennis Association. It will work like the other sporting events on Mundus, you sign up, results randomly generated, you get to write news articles, build rivalries, maybe the odd spat etc. In terms of structure the tour will consist of four grand slams (I thank those I've asked for agreeing to host these) and an end of year masters event which will see the top 16 go head to head in a season finale. You may submit applications to host a tour event within your nation, the application form for that is below. Please note I am initially saying only two tour event submissions per nation at this time.

As the results are randomly generated the sign up for players is quite simple and entirely for the purposes of building up player character, I only ask that you group all the male players and all the female players together to make it easier for me to tell. Please at most six players per sex per nation (6 men and 6 women) at most for the moment.

Player Name: Anton Zakharov
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Male
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Zakharov is an aggressive baseliner. He often stands far back behind the baseline and aims to hit powerful groundstrokes either for winners or to wear down his opponent. Although his height slows him down on the court, it also adds to his reach and gives him the ability to get more balls back in play. Zakharov can generate a lot power with both his backhand and forehand. His backhand in particular is regarded as his strength and one of the best in Krimeonite tennis. Zakharov uses a semi-open stance and employs a western grip when hitting forehands. He has a continental-eastern grip on his backhand. He can also hit slice backhands that require a low center of gravity, in spite of his height. With Zakharov's height of 1.98 metres, he can generate big serves at 220 kilometres per hour or faster at sharper angles than shorter players.

Player Name: Kondrat Komarov
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Male
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: He possesses a forehand that is amongst the biggest already. He is also solid off the backhand side, although that stroke is less powerful than the forehand. None-the-less, he can use it to set himself up in rallies, and isn't afraid to take it down the line. His volleys are not a particular strength, but he is effective enough at finishing off points at the net. At 1.98 meters, he is physically strong, and moves well. Indeed, he is among the best movers at his height. However, he would do well to add greater finesse to his game, to provide him with an option when he cannot simply hit through an opponent. If he could improve his volleys and drop shots Komarov could well become a real threat across all surfaces.

Player Name: Dennis Matveyev
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Male
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: One might assume that the 1.98 meters Matveyev was a huge server. But though he does not lack power on his serve it is hardly one of the Tour’s best. Instead, Matveyev is at his best when rallying from the baseline. His forehand is a strange looking shot but one hit with little spin making it an effective weapon and one numerous opponents have found hard to deal with. His backhand is also an excellent shot, probably his best. He is capable of taking it up the line with pace as well as trading cross court and his slice is also very effective. One area he must improve, however, is his movement. He struggles to cover the court as well as many of his rivals but does not have the power necessary to cover that weakness. Should he wish to reach the highest echelons of the game he must address that.

Player Name: Grigor Demidov
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Male
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Demidov employs an all-round style of playing, and is said to have one of the most unusual playstyles on the tour. His flexibility and the fact that he's comfortable on all parts of the court is the main reason why many people have said he is one of the most talented up-and-coming players. Demidov is known for his hustle, athleticism, fluid style of play and exceptional shot-making. Demidov employs an eastern to semi-western grip on his forehand. When hitting, unlike most players, he uses his elbow, wrist, and arm to generate power instead of his body. His forehand is known to be very heavy, powerful and accurate and is his primary weapon. He uses it to generate sudden pace in baseline rallies, often catching his opponents off guard. Demidov employs a conventional single-handed backhand. His backhand is said to be one of the most versatile in the game, due to his ability to hit it with top-spin, flat, and his backhand slice. He also has a slightly unusual follow-through and finish on his backhand, often straightening out his hand and extending it all the way across his waist, which some have said is a weakness due to the time taken to recover by recoiling his arm. Demidov usually uses his backhand as a rally stroke to build up points rather than hit immediate winners, although he is known to be able to generate significant pace on his backhand when returning a weak shot from his opponent or when neutralising a fast-paced shot. Demidov has a solid fast serve, often reaching 210 km/h, up to 220 km/h. His first serve has been known to be clutch, often producing aces on important points. Demidov employs more top-spin on his second serve, making it slower but more consistent.

Player Name: Basil Kharlamov
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Male
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Kharlamov is a defensive baseliner. He is very solid and consistent from primarily the backhand wing. However, he continues to struggle hitting forehand groundstrokes in defensive positions or on the run. He has great coordination and footwork, thus allowing him to move well laterally on the court. His style of play lends itself to having long rallies and wearing down his opponent from the baseline. Due to the fact that he's born left-handed but plays on his right hand, the strengths in his game are in his movement and his two-handed backhand. His forehand, with his long takeback and tendency to break down under the stress of an opponent’s offence, has been cited as an area of possible focus in future. In addition, he also possesses a strong and precise serve, which enables him to win a lot of easy points. That in turn, helps to preserve his energy for return games and outlast opponents in long rallies, in order to break their serve. He is punishing to players who drop the ball short, allowing him to take the ball on the rise and turn defence into offence effectively.

Player Name: Świętomierz Wieczorek
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Male
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Possessing one of the strongest one-handed backhands on tour, Wieczorek is characterized as a powerful offensive baseliner capable of playing well on most surfaces, especially on clay and hard courts. He is known for his fast serve which has reached as high as 232 kilometres per hour. His forehand, considered a weakness early in his career, has improved significantly and is now a big weapon in his game. While he is primarily known as a baseliner, Wieczorek has occasionally backed up his game with approaches to the net, and is capable of using the serve and volley tactic.

Player Name: Petra Kafkóva
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Female
Handedness: Left
Play Style Description: Kafkóva uses the pinpoint service stance and is known for her fast and well-placed serves. As a left-handed player, she executes the shot well by serving out wide away from her opponent, especially on the advantage-side of the court to her opponent's backhand, and then coming forward to finish off the point with a winner down the line. She is also noted for her exceptional timing. On forehands, she prefers to take the ball early, thus allowing her to produce down-the-line winners effectively. On backhands, she utilises all the important muscle groups to produce shots with exceptional amount of power. When returning, she uses a short compact motion which allows her to return aggressively regardless of the serve speed. She is also known to attack weak second serves by producing powerful winners. She also possesses notable amount of variety in her game. Her volleys tend to come more from her forehand, her stronger side, which she executes by moving her racket in a straight line, also allowing her to disguise the shot well enough from her opponents. In the slice department, she has the ability to keep the ball low and performs the shot better on her backhand wing. Due to her tall frame, she is known to make up for her lack of speed by playing close to the baseline. Her game suits the fast courts and she cites grass as her favourite surface. However, due to her high-risk game and aggressive style of play she is known to produce a high number of unforced errors in matches. Movement is another weakness in her game though it has shown significant improvement over the last couple of years as she is now able to run down more balls than before. She is known for her inconsistencies, inability to maintain focus on and off during matches as well as impatience mid-rally. Most notably of late, Kafkóva has been struggling against defensive players, who prolong points to the extent that Kafkóva feels she must hit a winner, thus increasing the chances of producing an unforced error. Against such opponents, she has been shown to break down physically due to her opponent's use of court craft, consistency and patience on court.

Player Name: Květoslava Peterková
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Female
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Peterková utilizes an extremely aggressive style, highlighted by her powerful, accurate serve as well as her forceful groundstrokes often in tandem with her net play, to extract errors from opponents or win points outright. She also shows accuracy and power on mid-court shots, sometimes following them to net.

Player Name: Efimiya Sergeyeva
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Female
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Sergeyeva has a complete baseline game and is mostly a defensive player. She can turn defense into offense when given the chance. Sergeyeva’s groundstrokes are very consistent and are hit with moderate-to-big power. Her backhand is her stronger side, especially down the line, and on the run, but both of her groundstrokes penetrate the court well. She demonstrates good movement around the court and is capable of hitting very accurate shots on the run. She has been known to struggle with volleying at the net. However, she has good reactions and can accelerate well across the court to deal with short balls. Her favourite surfaces are grass and clay.

Player Name: Alice Samsonova
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Female
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Samsonova is an aggressive baseliner. She has a powerful serve and her game is built around going for groundstroke winners. Her groundstrokes are often hit very flat. Although she has the ability to hit a lot of winners, they are often accompanied by a lot of unforced errors. Samsonova prefers playing on grass and hard courts. Samsonova frequently accompanies her shots with loud grunting.

Player Name: Alexandra Sokolova
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Female
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Sokolova is a tactical, all-round player who uses varied shots to win points. She possesses consistent and accurate groundstrokes, with both wings capable of producing winners. She has an accurate serve that can reach 177 km/h. She also moves around the court well, and has good footwork. She states that her backhand is her favourite shot. Possibly her biggest asset is her variety and resilience on court. She approaches the net a lot to finish points, and some of her best shots are her drop shots and slices, which are very difficult to retrieve.

Player Name: Dana Krillova
Nationality: Krimeonite
Sex: Female
Handedness: Right
Play Style Description: Krillova is a baseline player with a crafty style of play. She employs a variety of shots including heavy topspin forehands, one-handed slice backhands, kick serves, and drop shots. She relies on outsmarting her opponents through tactics rather than hitting overpowering shots. However, she is capable of hitting powerful groundstrokes as well. Krillova's favourite surface is clay.
