On the other side we have the rebels. Free from the power of one man and not controlled by the oppression that is religion. As a country that threw off both the shackles of religion and the monarchy we know the desperate struggle those brave men in the rebellion are going through. Every other Representative believes, along with me, that we should help the Clysperi rebels throw off the shackles of religion and the monarchy. It has been decided then that we should aid them in any way possible without being dragged into the fighting. We believe firmly that man should bow to no one man or his god, so let them achieve the freedom they deserve. For freedom and liberty we strive.

STATEMENT FROM HIS MAJESTY KING HEYDAR OF ROYAL SELEUCID

Following the announcement that the nation of Aschlon aim to support rebels in Clysperi I am forced once more to re-state our nations stance on this conflict. This is a matter for Midaranye and Aschlon sits on the far side of the world, as far away from Clysperi as it is possible to be. We urge Aschlon to not involve itself. Any military forces attempting to transit either our EEZ or air-space will be treated as a hostile threat and dealt with accordingly.

We wish to see our home region restored to peace and allowing these terrorists in Clyserpi to be dealt with swiftly is the best approach. Enough outsiders have polluted the soil of Midaranye as it is and Aschlon's presence is neither wanted nor desired.

Statement from the Achkaerinese Government

Following the statement of support for the so called Confederation of Clysperis by the nation of Aschlon I would like to remind the nation of Aschlon that the current situation in regards to the Clysperis civil war sees the international coalition in control of Clysperis airspace and conducting naval operations within the Clysperi EEZ both with the consent of Pharaoh Akasha who is the legitimate Head of State of the nation. Whether Aschlon attempt to involve themselves or not is their own affair, however given the statement of support we will consider any Aschlon force attempting to enter Clysperis territory whether that be land, sea or air as hostile and act accordingly. We suggest that nations outside of the area do not involve themselves in this conflict.

The Kingdom of Clysperis offers this warning to Aschlon once, and only once: do not involve yourselves in the sovereign affairs of the Kingdom.

Those whom you've called "rebels" are a band of terrorists who have killed Clysperi citizens on the side of a road, hung a Priest from a light pole, and laid waste to a Mosque resulting in the deaths of 57 of my People. They profited from the illicit sale of Clysperi artifacts, selling our very culture to the highest bidder to fund their terrorism. Therefore any power which would lend them any manner of support or comfort shall not escape unscathed once we've seen this threat vanquished from our lands. Clysperis is an ancient nation and her memory is long; it may not be tomorrow or the day that follows, however, know that our vengeance would be most certain.

Those who involve themselves in the sovereign affairs of the Kingdom will be treated no differently from the terrorists themselves. Should Aschlon provide any manner of assistance, material or otherwise, to the Clysperi terrorists it will be seen as an act of war against the Kingdom of Clysperis.

Statement from the Tamoran Government

The Tamoran government would like to express its objection to the unwise decision made by Hootoft of Aschlon to show its support for the terrorists currently fighting against the Clysperi government. We strongly believe that that the government of Aschlon has not taken into consideration  the full implications of its decision not just for its standing on world stage but also for the precedent it creates which invites other nations to express similar support against such terrorist organizations that may activate in the future on the territory  of Aschlon.

The Tamoran government will continue to stand by our Clyperi allies and will respond in kind to any support the government of Aschlon will give to the terrorists in Clysperis.

Statement from the Kingdom of Quintelia

The Kingdom of Quintelia reinstates its diplomatic support and continued aid for Pharaoh Akasha and her government and denounces the declaration of support for the so-called "rebels". We have witnessed the heinous crimes these terrorists have done in Clysperis under the pretext of "fighting for liberty and democracy" and giving support for such groups can be considered as an act of terror by itself. We shall, however, refrain from any direct declarations or threats for now unless called upon by our OPEN allies in Mid-Aranye.

Statement from John Retlik, representative of Hawar of Aschlon
Aschlon itself will not take part in the fighting, however it will support the rebels of Clysperis with non-violent supplies, such as food, fuel and medical equipment, if they request it. It may not be the wisest decision, but we feel it is the right decision. The people’s freedom should not be limited by a god or a king. We may not be near Clysperis geographically, but these rebels hold much the same ideals as us. We once again stress that we ourselves do not wish to join the fight, only to support the side that embodies our ideals.

RESPONSE TO JOHN RETLIK

It is clear o us that Aschlon is a nation of hippocracy. It claims to support the rebels because it believes people's freedoms should not be limited by a God or King. However it appears that only the Aschlon definition of freedom is the one we are supposed to abide by. It is clear by looking at the numbers of fighters who have willingly taken up arms in defence of their Pharoah that the people are exercising their freedom to determine they desire a future with a monarchy as opposed to without it. In our view Aschlon is nothing more than another nation seeking to push its ultra liberal agenda on the world.

With this in mind and a clear statement that Aschlon intends to send supplies of food, fuel and medical equipment to the rebels the nation of Royal Seleucid will not permit this to take place as far as possible. Any boat bearing the Aschlon flag or thought to be taking supplies to the rebels in Clysperis which passes through the Seleucid EEZ will be stopped and impounded until such a time as the conflict in Clysperis is over. The crew on the ship will be permitted to return home with no criminal proceedings against them. With this in mind the patrols of the Seleucid EEZ will be increased and these measures will take effect with immediate effect.

Response to John Retlik

The Government of Aschlon has announced it's intention to support the rebel forces in Clysperis, you have been told this once and in the interests of clarity and the cause of preventing excessive bloodshed I issue on behalf of the Achkaerinese Forces operating in cooperation with the Kingdom of Clysperis the following:

The Government of Aschlon has been warned that any incursion whether by land, sea or air into Clysperi territory will be treated as hostile and will have consequences across the board. Any Aschlon aircraft that are lucky enough to break through Seleucid airspace will be regarded as an intruder in the no fly zone and dealt with accordingly and any vessel flying the Aschlon flag, or that we believe to be operating on Aschlon's behalf will be instructed to turn away upon approach to the naval perimeter in the Clysperi EEZ. We do operate both these elements on the principle of a graduated response however should warnings not be heeded and instructions not complied with the options of not just Achkaerinese but coalition forces as well do narrow considerably and we will have little choice other than to consider opening fire upon the intruder.

Aschlon should consider what they do carefully.

Following the  announcement that the government of Aschlon plans to offer support to the terrorists in Clysperis, we are announcing that Aschlon’s entire embassy staff in Tamora will be expelled and a new ambassador will not be confirmed until the government of Aschlon reverses its position. 

Furthermore, any boat bearing the Aschlon flag or thought to be taking supplies to the rebels in Clysperis which passes through Tamora’s EEZ will be stopped and impounded. The crews of the ship will be detained until further notice.

A statement from Bill Jovi Representative of The North of Aschlon

Following the terror attack on the Tarc (the Aschlon parliament building) this morning and the death of three of our Representatives, I have decided to withdraw all support for the Clysperis Rebels till our government stabilises and the NACG has been destroyed. There are many factors to this decision, the first most prominent one being that our country needs support, and its chances of getting that support are greatly limited if we are involved in open conflict. The second reason is that both I and Representative David Lloyd, the last remaining Representatives, both never quite agreed with the decision to be involved in the conflict, however we were out voted on this decision by the more radical Representatives.
