Recognizing wisdom (Djabidjan and Samantra)
« on: March 13, 2022, 01:34:02 PM »
To whom it may concern at Universal Free Church
From: Father Aleksandr Kozlov, Spokesperson for the Samantran Orthodox Church

The public support expressed by your Church following the results of the referendum has not gone unnoticed. I would like to express our gratitude in the name of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy and the Samantran Orthodox Church. Our efforts to preserve the traditional role of the family as well the role of the church in society were often misrepresented in the media but we are glad that the Samantran people as well as your church have seen that the result of the referendum is pleasing to the Lord.

We know the people of Djabidjan face many hardships and we would like to help by making a small donation of 1 million roubles (usd) to your church. We are not knowledgeable of the laws and regulations of your country so please let us know if such donations are permitted.

The Samantran Orthodox Church seeks to become a friend of the Universal Free Church as we believe more unites us than divides us and we remain open for any cooperation in the future.

Blessings of Christ,
Father Aleksandr Kozlov
Spokesperson for the Samantran Orthodox Church

Private communication to Father Aleksandr Kozlov, Spokesperson for the Samantran Orthodox Church

We are both surprised, pleased, and honoured by your message and offer. While there are obvious and important differences between our churches, we would be honoured to accept your offer of friendship and cooperation, as we believe that interfaith dialogue between the churches with the will to bring forward the truth and the message of Christ can enlightened the peoples of Mundus.

After consulting our legal team, we are certain there should not be legal obstacles for such generous donation, always that is done through the proper legal channels, of course. We offer our gratitude and our blessing for this generous contribution. Our team will contact you for such details.

Yours sincerely,
International Office of the Universal Free Church

OOC: Assume the donation was sent.

From: Father Aleksandr Kozlov, Spokesperson for the Samantran Orthodox Church

As I am writing you the Rokkenjiman Empire has unleashed its wrath on the holy kingdom for upholding the values of our faith. Their opulence and military might has clouded their judgment, they placed economic sanctions on the holy kingdom thinking that we will betray our faith and beliefs for thirty pieces of silver. I do not presume to know the will of our Lord but I do not believe it is a mere coincidence that so soon after we have made formal contact we have also seen the Rokkenjimans lay economic punishment on us. I think the forces driving the Rokkenjimas understand that Mundus is changing and they are afraid.
But while these are not the best of times they have indeed brought to light potential new friends and allies. The Emir of Rayyu has invited those that follow God of Abraham to meet for talks and our Holiness the Patriarch will attend. We would like for a representative of your Church to also attend and while we do not know the plans of the host, we believe something positive and pleasing to the Lord can come out of the talks.

We await your reply but assure you that we will continue to seek to build friendship between us regardless of your answer.

Blessings of Christ,
Father Aleksandr Kozlov

We offer you our prayers and solidarity to your people for this groundless sanctions against the Samantran believers. We have no doubt than the Samantran people, as they have recently showed, will show the strength of their convictions against this attempt of blackmail.

We received the invitiation from the Emir of Rayyu, certainly, which is due to discussion on the next General Synod of our church, to be held tomorrow, to decide our official position. We take note of your message, and in case of we decided to accept this unprecedented offer by the Emir, we would be certainly interested to meeting your represenatives there and have a constructive discussion.

I am writing to you after reading worrying news about a Christian religious group that has taken arms against the state of Djabidjan. Your Church is a partner we trust, so we would like to know your opinion on the matter. Does the press exaggerate and the group is legitimate? Is the group a threat as described and if so is your Church in any danger?
Please let us know. We pray that your community is safe.

Blessings of Christ,

Sadly, terrorism has experienced in the last year a limited but increasing surge in our nation, which even took the life of one of the members of our General Synod in a terror attack in Djabidjan City six months ago.

We have not more information about such group that one can read in our national media. Our church does not condone violence and we warned our believers to be cautious and inform the authorities of any suspected activity. We do not believe that our church may become an objective of potential attacks, and the risk of danger to our church and members remains low, but we try to be wary and cautious in the current atmosphere.

Thank you for your concern and prayers,
