BiographyNamed by his father as heir to the throne of Tamora, Abbas Safavid become Emperor at the age of 30 following the death of his father. Despite his young age he proved to be much more conservative than his father. During his reign he has increased spending for the army, opposed any reforms of imperial institutions in Tamora, cracked down on women rights in the Imperial enclave and has developed a good personal relation with the King of Royal Seleucid. So far his reign coincided with the Great Stagnation, low economic growth for almost 18 continuous years, with no signs of improvement.

Abbas is not exceptionally smart nor a very exciting personality to be around. Also, like most Tamorans, his views are overtly Tamoran focused, with a strong belief in the preeminence of Tamoran culture. He is also  patient and consistent, focusing on long term goals rather than short term gains. He values loyalty and stability above competence and risk taking. His main goal as Emperor is to have Tamora expand territorially adding a new kingdom to his Empire.

She took part along with her husband, Abbas, to hosting the King of RS and his fourth wife at the Imperial Palace.

Biography Daughter of the highest ranking duke in the Imperial Enclave, her marriage was arranged in advance by the father of the current Emperor as a reward for her father's extraordinary service. Until the age of sixteen her education was decided by the father of the Emperor and afterwards by her husband, the current Emperor.
In accordance with Manist teachings, she spent most of her life at home, at the Imperial Palace in Djerb, taking care of the children and managing the palace. Now that her childbearing days are behind her, she was gradually allowed by her husband to assume more tasks in administrating the finances of the Imperial Enclave and was given the liberty of travelling alone , on official visits, in the kingdoms of Tamora.
Calm and reserved, she has stood in the shadow of her husband  for most of her life being a model wife according Manist standards.  However, once allowed by her husband, she has quickly and resolutely assumed positions in the administration of the Imperial enclave which seems to indicate she is a very ambitious person.

Links to Important events? She met King Lapu of Quintelia.
She met with the Pope.

Biography The last member of the Saroyan Royal Dynasty that ruled Attica for almost 400 years. She was made Queen after her parents and older brother were executed for treason by the current Emperor of Tamora. Many in Tamora expected her to refuse to become queen considering the delicate position of the Kingdom (annexed in 1958 by Tamora) and the personal risk involved (most of her family members were either executed of died in prison). Nevertheless, she accepted the role as Queen and has become the first ever queen of a Tamoran Kingdom.
Since she was never expected to rule, she was free to pursue a career of her choosing. She proved to have a talent for finance and quickly reached the position of deputy CFO in one of the largest banks in Attica. She wants to use this talent to improve the economic performance of her kingdom's economy.
Like most Armenians in Attica, she is very religious and attends mass every week.  People of her entourage have described her as ambitious and resolute but also stern, misanthropic and a religious zealot. She has so far resisted pressures to restrict women's rights in Attica and has began a series of economic reforms meant to stimulate economic growth. The main issues she needs to address in Attica are: the declining number of Catholics and Armenians  (due to conversion and emigration) which could lead the Emperor to change the ruling dynasty with one of a different religion and ethnicity, the religious unrest talking place in Attica, the brain drain, preserving the rights of women while simultaneously appeasing the hardliners in Tamora and securing the future of her dynasty.

Links to Important events?
He made a trip to Zimalia and med the Zimalian President.
Biography Born in a poor family in the Kingdom of Vojvodina, a region of Tamora where Parthians and Manists are in the minority, Ramin Rafsanjani was educated in one of the private Manist schools where he developed a passion for the word of the Prophet Mani and a deep pride in being Tamoran. In his youth he did his best to spread the word of the Prophet Mani to those around him. Seeing as many of them spoke other languages, he studied and learned multiple foreign languages in an attempt to better explain the Manist religion to non Parthians. He further developed his understanding of theology at the Djerb University. After graduating, he refused all positions at Manist temples and instead chose the life of a street preacher, spreading the word of the Prophet Mani to the far reaches of the Empire. During his travels he sometimes meet discrimination and adversities from local nobles who were of different faiths and ethnicities. He rose to prominence on the national stage after a local news network told his story of the "traveling homeless preacher". The Grand Ayatollah personally thanked him for his service and the Imperial Foreign Office was quick to offer him a position. To the surprise of many, he accepted and he soon became the "face" of Tamoran foreign affairs.  Perhaps even more surprising, Ramin Rafsanjani proved to be a member of the liberal faction in the Manist clergy going so far as to advocate for full equality between the sexes in his regular sermons he posts online. Nevertheless, he is not a reformist (occ: advocate for the abolition of slavery) and fully supports Tamora's current institutions.

Musaevna Kadyrov & the Kadyrov family
« Reply #4 on: September 03, 2018, 08:27:24 PM »
The Kadyrov family

They are the sole shareholders of the Kadyrov Industries, the largest arms manufacturer in Tamora. Their connections with the Safavid Imperial family, their huge wealth (estimated at 90 bln dinars/USD) and long family history dating back to the XV th century makes them arguably the most influential of the corporate noble families of Tamora. Because the sensitive business that they deal in (arms manufacturing) and the high trust the Safavid Imperial family has in them, they often act as intermediaries for the Tamoran government when it doesn't want to deal directly to third parties.

Kadyrov Industries - (with Morad Kadyrov as the sole owner of the company) is a huge arms conglomerate that is the backbone of Tamora's military industrial complex dwarfing all other Tamoran arms manufacturers. Its products range from airplanes to tanks, ships being the only significant military equipment that they don't build.
The company is also the owner and operator of Tamora's regional satellite navigation system (KRNSS) and owns the largest spaceport in Tamora. The company employs  approx 75.000 people and has a strict policy of not using slave labor for security reasons.

Musaevna Kadyrov (RL name: I have no idea who she is)

RolesFirst (and only) Wife of Morad Kadyrov
The "face" and visible head of Kadyrov Industries and Kadyrov family as a whole (her husband rarely appears in public).
Fashion designer, philanthropist
ReligionManism (liberal branch)
Net family assets90 billion dinars(USD)
Ethnicity Parthian
Year of Birth5/May/1983, Argun, Kingdom of Akkar, Empire of Tamora
Positions HeldFirst wife of Morad Kadyrov: 1997- present
EducationAkkar Manist university: specialized in finance, languages & customs of Tamora and Manist religious studies.
Graduated from Girls' School

Family Morad Kadyrov - husband

Children: one son and two  daughters

Links to Important events? She met the fourth wife of the King of Royal Seleucid while the royal couple was in Tamora for their honeymoon.
She gave a lecture at the BG Chapterhouse Lectures event.
Attended the BG spice Harvest.

   Biography
Musaevna comes from a family of Imans with a rich tradition of devotion to the high temple of Akkar. She met her future husband, Morad, at the Manist temple when she was 14 and he was 16. They got married the same year. Despite the huge difference in wealth between the two families (Kadyrov was even then one of the richest in Tamora) Morad's parents consented because of the excellent reputation Musaevna's family had with the Manist Temple (religion).
Musaevna, encouraged by her husband, quickly got involved alongside her husband in the family business. They worked well together and in time she assumed more of the duties regarding the networking and relations building with various nobles and the imperial family while her husband focused more on the technical side. Ever since her husband's parents retired, she has become the public image of the business and even the family, with Morad rarely appearing in public.
She is well known public figure in Tamora because of the huge wealth and influence she holds, her very generous charitable work (she has funded the entire construction of a dozen Manist temples, a couple of Manist schools, one Manist hospital and cofounded many others) and because it's rather rare for a Manist woman to have so much power (openly) in Tamora.
Musaevna is good friends with Alya, the first wife of the current Emperor of Tamora, among others.

Biography The tradition in Tamora is that the Emperor chooses which of his sons will succeed him in order to encourage competition and ensure that no unfit successor takes place. Jamshid, just like his brother and half brothers, has been groomed from an young age for the position of Emperor and has been taught the intricacies of Tamora's ruling system. Under the guidance of his mother, Jamshid has sought to impress his father by choosing to earn a reputation as a scholar of Manism and a good standing with the Manist Church. He has a reputation of strict adherent to Manism and a keen interest in the history of his faith.

He was named as future successor to the Emperor because of his mother achievements and not necessary because he impressed his father . Just like his father, he is not a very exciting personality to be around. Not much is known publicly about his character, personality or goals. What is known is that he has had disagreements with his father over what he perceives to be the too tolerant approach of his father towards other faiths of the Empire and for what he perceives as opening Tamora to too much foreign influence.

Once in control of the family he proved to be extremely prudent with the business, shunning debt completely, growing slowly and avoiding risks. He is credited to making Jalal Deer Agricultural Conglomerate competitive on the world stage in the agribusiness sector. In his private life he proved to be an orthodox Manist, donating regularly to the Church and always attending service. Biography
Albek is perhaps the most controversial figure in the Empire. His made a fortune by doing business in the areas which the major religions of Tamora find it haram or sinful (but are legal in some parts of Tamora) like: slave prostitution, production and selling of opioids. He is also infamous in Tamora for making outrageous statements that go against established norms. He has so far publicly admitted to: concubinage, getting drunk in public, doing drugs, committing adultery (he has recognized two children out of wedlock) and has made numerous statements bordering on blasphemy. He has survived two assassination attempts and is among the few Tamorans who have not been convicted of a crime but are banned from entering in five of the six federated kingdoms (the sixth being his home kingdom). Despite all this, he has repeatedly described himself as a patriot, claiming that his attempts on his life are caused by envy and saying that he loves Tamora because it is the only place in Mundus where he could have made so much money.

There is a popular belief among Tamorans that he has more knowledge of the haram(sinful) behavior taking place in the higher spheres of Tamoran society than even the Imperial Secret Service and that this knowledge is what makes him untouchable by the authorities. It is also rumored to have connections with criminal elements outside the Empire but those have never been proven and Albek has always dismissed this as “fabrications of the envious.”

Links to Important events?
Biography The tradition in Tamora is that the Emperor chooses which of his sons will succeed him in order to encourage competition and ensure that no unfit successor takes place. Naser, just like his brother and half-brothers, has been groomed from a young age for the position of Emperor and has been taught the intricacies of Tamora's ruling system. Unlike his older brother, Naser proved more interested in financial matters and the governance of the empire rather than religious affairs. A fact that often found him in argument with his mother who saw his pursuits for “material gain” close to immoral and unbecoming of a Safavid. Despite this, he is nevertheless a devout Manist and regularly attends temple service.

Those close to the Imperial palace where somewhat surprised that Naser was not chosen as successor by Emperor Abbas as it was believed the two have a more similar view of how the Empire should be run rather than Jamshid who was eventually chosen. Some analysts familiar to Tamoran politics have speculated that Jamshid’s designation as the next successor is a further signal of the increasing power and influence of the (Manist) Orthodox faction over the government of Tamora in general and the imperial family in particular.

Since it was publicly announced that  Jamshid will be successor, Nasir has been discreetly named vice governor of the Tamoran Central bank and rumors say that in the coming years he may become head of the Imperial Wealth fund, the largest sovereign fund in the Empire.

As with all members of the Safavid dynasty, he rarely appears in public and not much is known about his personality or character. What is known is that he has taken his role of vice governor seriously and in the short time he has spent in the office so far he has met with several of the largest business owners of the Empire as well as the heads of the largest interest charging banks in the Empire (something extremely rare in a country where charging interest is shunned and largely restricted in all but two of the federated kingdoms: West Seleucid and Attica). He is also credited as the mastermind behind the surprising suspension of imperial tariffs on food imports in order to lower food prices during the Royal Seleucid food crisis of 2019.

Zara
« Reply #18 on: May 01, 2019, 06:19:36 PM »
Zara* (RL name: Rabia Zargapur) *as an ex-slave she doesn’t have a family name.

RolesPersonal assistant to Musaevna Kadyrov (wife of the richest Tamoran businessman)
ReligionManism (liberal branch)
Net family assetsnone, all her (notable) belongings are all property of the Kadyrov family.
Ethnicity Parthian
Year of Birth28/February/1978, Djerb, Imperial Enclave, Empire of Tamora
Positions HeldPersonal slave of Musaevna Kadyrov :1997-2010 (when she was freed and became personal assistant of Musaevna.

EducationDjerb slave school number 56:  specialized in languages of Tamora (aside from native Parthian she is fluent in Arabic, Seleucid and Latin (ooc: assuming this is agreed as the international language of Mundus), customs and religions of Tamora, proper etiquette in the various kingdoms of Tamora.

Family Yusri – husband (slave)

Children: one son and two daughters (all slaves).

Links to Important events? She attended the BG Spice Harvest festival and Jewel of the Desert festival in RS.

Biography Zara was born a slave and owned by one of the local Manist parish temples in Djerb never knowing her parents. The Imam of the parish acknowledged the intelligence of Zara and decided to invest in her education by sending her to a slave school. There Zara proved to be extremely ambitious and studied extensively in the hopes of avoiding a worse faith as a slave. Her great academic performance (especially her fluency in both Arabic and Seleucid) made her a valuable slave and was eventually sold when she was 19 to the Kadyrov family for the huge some of one hundred and fifty thousand dinars (usd). She was assigned as the personal slave of Musaevna Kadyrov which at the time was 14 and recently married. Musaevna gave her the name Zara which she carries to this day.

Zara proved to be a valuable asset to Musaevna and greatly helped her in her personal development, those close to the Kadyrov family saying that many of the skills Musaevna developed which allowed her to get so close to the Safavid Imperial family are due in no small part to Zara.

For the extremely dedicated service Zara has provided Musaevna and continues to do so, Zara was allowed to have a husband of her choosing from the Kadyrov household slaves and to have as many children as she wanted. As a further reward for her service Zara was freed in 2010 and her children are privately tutored with the promise to be free as they reach the age of 14 should Zara continue to serve Musaevna with the same diligence and loyalty as she did so far.

While Zara is an ex-slave, as the personal assistant of Musaevna Kadyrov she has far more influence that her low status would indicate. She has access to many of the secrets of the Kadyrov family, often determines who has access to Musaevna and advises her on various issues, helps administer part of the of Musaevna’s immense wealth and determines with little oversight from Musaevna how the charity donations of the Kadyrov family are spent (which are in the range of hundreds of millions of dinars (usd) every year). While technically she has no possessions of her own, when in public she is always dressed in lavish abaya dresses (all of them designed by Musaevna) and wears expensive jewelry. She is always the shadow of Musaevna, never leaving her side when in public, anticipating her every need and acting as a translator when needed.

BiographyLeyli was born in rural in a traditional Manist (ooc: the native religion of Tamora) family and like most Manists girls attended one of the many girls’ schools owned and operated by the Church of Mani. She caught the attention of baron Kaveh Qasemi whom when she reached the age of 14 payed ten thousand dinars/usd to her parents in order to marry her(a large amount for a commoner). Baron Kaveh Qasemi is one the very few Tamoran nobles that is not part of the major religions of Tamora (Manism, Islam, Druze, Anahitasim, Christianity) as he is a member of the Sect of Lilith. Since Leyli's parents were liberal Manists they agreed to their marriage on the condition that she was to keep her religion.

After her marriage, like most Tamoran women, she stopped her studies and focused on raising her children and only resumed her education when she reached 30. The violent death of her youngest child, Asuria, had a profound effect on her and those close to her credit the tragedy as the reason for the conversion to the Sect of Lilith. Through her passion for new faith she also developed an interest in the Consecrated Nyx Coalition, the home of the largest community of followers of Pantheon of the Hallowed, and decided to enroll in a college there where she studied online.

As priestess of Lilith in Soma, a Tamoran village of approx. 5000 people, her sermons often blended deep respect for traditional Tamoran mores, focus on retribution as necessary for the peace of the victims, the implication that Alya Safavid could be an Avatar of Lilith and that the wave of sanctions against Tamora is somehow part of a coordinated effort against Tamora lead by the Goddess Jisu.

As a Manist apostate, a women, a non- ethnic Parthian and a follower of the minor religions of Tamora she is an unlikely choice to represent Tamora as an ambassador, especially to a major power like Nyx. She was chosen no doubt by the Foreign Office because of her cultural and religious links she has to the majority religion of Nyx.

The Milad family, owners of Fatima Cigars
« Reply #23 on: April 04, 2020, 04:31:07 PM »
The Milad family

The Milad family is one of the wealthiest families in the Empire of Tamora valued 0.95 bln USD/dinars. They are well known in Tamora as the owner of the largest cigarette and tobacco manufacturing businesses: Fatima Cigars. Like most rich families of Tamora, the Milad are major donors to charity. They focus their donations to schools funding almost exclusively the running of a dozen Islamic schools all over the federated kingdom of Altai.

Fatima Cigars

Fatima Cigars is the largest cigarette and tobacco manufacturing business in the Tamoran Empire. The business started operating in the early XVIII century in the Islamic federated kingdom of Altai and is today an empire wide business. Thanks to Tamora’s lax anti-smoking laws (in most federated kingdoms there are no laws against smoking) the business has not faced the same challenges that other companies have in foreign countries and has also managed to create a sizable export market in MidAranye and even outside of this region. The name Fatima comes from the name of the daughter of the Amal Milad, the founder of the businesses. They have made popular the concept of the Tamoran blend "a highly aromatic, small-leafed variety of tobacco which is sun-cured" (ooc: the RL Turkish tobacco ). Fatima Cigars now employs approx. 8 thousand workers and has 35 thousand slaves on the books.

Colonel Karad Goshtasb

Roles Colonel of the Tamoran Imperial Armed Forces
2019- present: Commander of the Tamoran troops in the Kingdom of Clysperis (approx. 5000 soldiers)
2020: received the highest Tamoran decoration: Hero of the Tamoran Empire
Religion Manism (conservative branch)
Net family assets 150 000 dinars (USD)
Ethnicity Parthian (Tamoran)
Year and place of Birth28/January/1964, Djerb, the imperial capital of Tamora
Positions Held

Education Imperial Academy in Djerb, he is one of the few Tamoran officers who speak Clysperis (although poorly), he is also a native speaker of Parthian and is fluent in Arabic.

FamilyOne wife : Daneh
Children: 1 son(Hurdad) and 2 daughters (Neshat & Vashta)
Links to Important events? He led the Tamoran troops during the civil war in Clysperis

Biography Karad Goshtasb was assigned to lead the Tamoran soldiers in Clysperis not because of his achievements but mostly because of knowledge of the Clysperi language and his relative openness towards engaging people of other faiths. During the war in Clysperis he did not shine as a great strategist or tactician yet he was appreciated for his ability to engage with the local population, cooperate with the local militia (CDL) and understand the local politics. He made full use of his authority  as commander of the Tamoran forces in Clysperis pushing the boundaries of his authority engaging with religious artifact smugglers, creating a militia of ex rebels under his command and encouraging defections from rebels in exchange for protection from Clysperi law and other controversial decisions. Djerb was extremely pleased with him mostly because he carried out the military objectives fully considering the political objectives of Djerb in Clysperis.

Among his subordinates he has the reputation of a mentor, taking care to develop his officers, share his experience with them, and endorse them to his superiors often overstating their roles and understating his. Because he is aware he is not best of strategists he is not afraid to delegate or take advice from his subordinates.  While he is a strong believer that Tamora should not have abolished the Tamoran protectorate of Clysperis and allow the Forth Kingdom of Clysperis to take its place, he has not made such views public and stays away from political statements that could harm Djerb’s relations with other countries.

In 2020, he received the highest decoration of the Tamoran Empire following the successful campaign in the Clysperi civil war. He is now considered one of the most popular officers in Tamora.

Zara Sato (RL name: Hana Tajima)

Roles2018-present (confidential): agent of the Imperial Secret Service (Tamora)
2020- present: student at the Pyrettania University in the First Empire of Rokkenjima

Religion Manism (liberal branch)
Net family assets 2000 dinars (USD)
Ethnicity Rokkenjiman (Tamoran)
Year and place of Birth29/February/2000, Djerb, the imperial capital of Tamora
Positions Held

Education Girls’ high school in Djerb, she is a native speaker of Parthian, fluent in Rokkenjiman and Arabic.

FamilyUnmarried
Family:  mother: Golsa, father: Kayan, older brother: Rami and younger sister: Nyla

Links to Important events? She was sent to Rokkenjima by the Imperial Secret Service to set up the necessary infrastructure at the Pyrettania University in order to spread pro Tamoran propaganda among the students (confidential).

Biography Zara Sato is an ethnic Rokkenjima, her family traces its roots to the slave trade of Rokkenjimans in the XIX (19) century from the Republic of Nichitishi, through Seleucid traders to the Tamoran Empire. In early part of the XX(20)th century her family earned their freedom and did their best to integrate into Tamoran culture as free people. They adopted the family name of Zaro, a very popular Rokkenjima name but they converted to Manism and adopted Parthian first names.
The Tamoran Imperial Secret Service recruited her from Girls’ school (high school) to use her to infiltrate Rokkenjima. Since Zara came from a family of ex slaves and is of a race nonnative to MidAranye she had always felt the need to prove her loyalty to Tamora. This is the most likely the reason she did not declined being recruited by the Tamoran Imperial Secret Service and accepted the mission given to her.
