The City was founded in 803 by a few fishermen who settled here because it was basically the mos southern point of Vaguzia so it would be easy to find the place if they got lost on sea. Through the years more and more fishermen found out about the place and the little fishermen town grew rapidly. Saburi soon became one of the most wealthy places in Vaguzia which also meant that a lot of people came to Saburi to look for work, this is when Saburi really became a city and in the year 903 Saburi already had 20,000 citizens and it was granted City Rights. In the year 1002 the city had reached a population of 100,000 and also became the most powerful city of the area, this was the beginning of the Kingdom of Saburi, after the creation of the Kingdom of Saburi, it also got their own navy, with the Naval base in the City of Saburi, this made the growth of the city even bigger. When the Kingdom of Vaguzia was created in 1456, Saburi was the 2nd largest city after Vallis, which was the Capital. The Royal Vaguzian Navy now also had their HQ in Saburi. In 1504 Saburi had reached a population of 1,000,000 and now was the biggest city of Vaguzia. Saburi really became important when in the 1520s the Vaguzian started to sail around Mundus to trade and to find land for colonies, Saburi became the biggest port of Vaguzia. Because of the importance of the City, the defense of Saburi was important, which is why you still can still find a lot of cannons and walls in the Port area of Saburi. Saburi remained one of the most important trade cities until now.
