Marriages are some of the greatest moments, I too am looking forward to my own marriage to my beloved Oksana. I would normally like to attend such a happy occasion however sadly the current international situation procludes me from being able to travel there. I will however be sending my eldest son Crown Prince Hadi and his two wives the Princesses Yasmine and Korina. They bring with them my hopes for a happy and glorious day for the happy couple.

Best Wishes

King Akakois III of Royal Seleucid

On behalf of His Majesty King David III of East Moreland I have been asked to attend this wedding and bring with me the best wishes of the people of East Moreland. I am greatly looking forward to the occasion and wish the happy couple well.

The Ecclesiastical State

To our friends, brothers and sisters of Christ in Herrenbucht,

It is with great honor and pleasure that the Ecclesiastical State, naturally, shall attend this what will become a spectacular wedding, a holy Union befitting between a royal man and woman of the Lord. It is however unfortunate that his holiness Pope Peter II can't attend to witness this due to the amount of international events as well as a busy schedule, which is why I Cardinal Secretary of State with a few of my other staff shall attend in his presence and of the Ecclesiastical People.

Take Care and God Bless...Sincerely,

Adalberto Giancola
Cardinal Secretary of State[1]

To:- Minister von Thaller

Having recently been married myself, for the second time, I consider myself fortunate to have found love with two fantastically gifted and beautiful women. I would under normal circumstances attend this occasion myself however other pressing matters of state will sadly prevent me from doing so, however I hope you will convey my most sincere congratulations and hopes of a long loving marriage to the happy couple. In my stead will be the Amberbrook family.

Signed

Emperor Peter Azurewind of the Holy Empire of Achkaerin

THE REPUBLIC OF SUTHERLAND

Dear Sigismund von Thaller,

It brings me joy to know that the sacrament of marriage is being undertaken, some of my best memories are those of my own marriage, so I'd love to attend. Unfortunately, however, other matters in Sutherland require my attention. Be sure to expect the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margaret Gillard, to attend the wedding on my behalf. I hope this becomes a day to remember for everyone, even for me all the way in Sutherland.

Sincerely,
Malcum Truman
President of Sutherland

To: The Duchy of Herrenbucht

In honor of this wedding, the Kingdom of Lesser and Greater Foxtrove shall be sending Lord Faulk Marco to attend the wedding in place of myself. Do not think of this act as rudeness or some other form as Lord Marco is one of my right hands.

Best of Wishes,

King Graham Tuorholm I

The day of the marriage has come. Both the Ducal Palace and St.Henrik's Cathedral have been prepared to host the delegations from all around Mundus. After entering Wateringas at the airport, the guest would be brought to St.Henrik's Cathedral immediately, where they would be welcomed by the bride, Princess Elena, the groom, Prince Laurenz and the father of the bride, Duke Philipp.

The plaza in front of the cathedral was already crowded by Herrenbucht's high nobility and by some reporters handpicked by the Duke himself, to ensure that there would only be good press. The plaza itself was guarded by the finest men of the Ducal Guard.

Suddenly Elena heard a sharp rhytmic noise through the ubiquitous mumbling on the plaza. The noise came from one of the back alleys leading to the cathedral. Of course her father decided to dispatch a contingent to accompany the guest on their way from the main road to the cathedral. He used every opportunity to show off Herrenbucht's military. Although she disliked this posturing she felt like she has to accept it as a part of the Herrenbuchtian mentality.

Now Elena could finally see the origin of the noise. The Ducal Guard contingent marched onto the plaza and behind them the first foreign guests arrived. Everyone turned into their direction. Like the Duke himself most of the Herrenbuchtian guests were overwhelmed with proud by the fact that Herrenbucht hosted so many international guests. Although Herrenbuchtians love their isolation, an event of this scale now and then is something very exciting for them.

Philipp gave a friendly push to his daughter. Then she and her groom moved towards the arriving delegation together. Philipp stayed in the backround. Although he is a really attention seeking nature he wanted his daughter to be in the focus today. After all she is his heir.

It was supposed to be his holiness Pope Peter II 'The Young Weasel Pope', but as his nickname would suggest, he 'weasled' his way out and decided to send his blessings and wishes along with the Cardinal Secretary of State. Not that it minded Giancola much, he just preferred to remain at home in the Vatican and assist briefly with foreign relations matters with the Under secretary of State as well praying, but alas one way or the other when the Holy Father demanded him to represent him, the Church and the Ecclesiastical State, he had to just obey. With an entire squad of Guardians of St. Peter's Throne, him being clad in the finest attires fit for a decent and respectable cardinal such as himself, he went forth to the bridal couple.

"Duke Lauren...Princess Elena...Please accept the best wishes and blessings from the Holy Father of Celestis himself, mandated by our Heavenly Lord. As we're about to witness this lifelong union between Man and Woman, I've also brought along appropriate gifts for this magnificent ocassion in the sight of God and it is to your liking and tastes, we Ecclesiasticals are sure of it, in fact many of these are from the citizens and especially the Herrenbuchtian expatriates who couldn't unfortunately travel back home in time to witness this."

Cardinal Giancola also gave his quick greeting to Duke Philipp before entering St. Henrik's Cathedral, which was awfully beautiful for being a protestant cathedral the cardinal thought silently, not trying to think in a judgemental manner or anything. This was to be a great time meeting officials from other nations as well.

The flight from Aluhampton to Herrenbucht was uneventful and the Emperor had taken the chance to catch up on some reading, he was currently half way through a book on the history of Albion but hadn't touched it for several long months.

Opposite him was his wife, Empress Madeline, she was dozing her seat reclined as the aircraft cut its way through the skies. This would be the first foreign coronation either of them had attended and both were a little unsure what would face them upon arrival. As the aircraft touched down the pair were escorted out of the plane by Soloman Brown, the Emperor's Security Agent, a former military man of twenty years and rather softly spoken. Brown held the car door open allowing first the Empress and then Empreror to clamber in before sitting himself in the front. The pair of Imperials marvelled at the new nation as they wound their way to the Cathedral.

As they arrived they presented themselves before their host, "Thank you for allowing us to share your special day. As a token of our esteem please let me present you with this Lily they grow wild on many of our islands and are thought to be omens by some. They signify peace, harmony and according to scientists actually help remove contamination from the air, a sign of health and purity." Empress Madeline smiled as she handed it over, "It's tradition back home that on her wedding day a lady wears a lily in her hair." she added thinking back to her own wedding twenty years ago.
