TINS news anchor

Tahmaseb Bunshahi from Polakis racing came in first in the Lilestonian Grand Prix giving the Polakis Racing team their first win of the season. This is the first year Polakis Racing is competing and the owner of the company Thanasis Polakis said he was very pleased with the win: “we are slowly but steadily improving the team, there is much more room for improvement but we also have to be patient”.

Head of Foreign Affairs Alya Safavid to begin MidAranye tour to promote Tamoran- Seleucid bid to host the Mundus games

The Foreign Office has announced that lady Alya Safavid will begin a MidAranye tour to promote the Tamoran- Seleucid joint bid to host the Mundus Games. The schedule will include visits to Vanora, Safraen, Abydos and Socram. According to the Foreign Office having Tamoran and Royal Seleucid host the games will boost both tourism and the image of not just the host countries but the region as a whole benefitting all countries in the region.

According to sources the tour would not include Abuqiya since that country seems to have entered a period of isolation, Clysperis which is already in close contact with Djerb, Waddan whose Sultan is currently in Djerb and the Ba'athist Fawkistan since that country has just emerged from isolation.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Children and fools always speak the truth

Children and fools always speak the truth

TINS news anchor

The old saying goes that “children and fools always speak the truth” and yesterday we had the chance to see how Rokkenjiman policymakers would speak if they told the truth. At first the Crown Princess of Rokkenjima, speaking before a youth Diet, read from a speech that was prepared for her talking about how the Tamora is a ”concern for the Rokkenjiman government” and how it “nearly saw Tamoran fighters approaching Ardian shores”. But when the young princess put aside the papers and spoke freely, we saw her saying this:

“Clearly what we're doing now isn't working, they're not changing what they do no matter the sanctions or the pressure we put on them. If you want the advice of the Throne it is this: be quiet and listen for once. Take another point of view into consideration. I mean it really can't hurt at this point, can it? We can keep doing the same thing over and over, sure, but if it doesn't yield any results then what's the point? It's insane to keep doing the same things and expect a different outcome especially in decisions that impact potentially millions of lives. Let's approach the Tamorans rationally, not with insanity.”

The Crown Princess is of course right; even a child can see this. But the sanctions were never meant to change Tamoran domestic institutions but to punish Tamora for not following the line in international affairs and make us stay in our place. This is why their government is promoting the propaganda that Tamora is somehow a threat to Rokkenjima and the other Ardian countries. But even a child can see that Rokkenjima and its huge military has no reason to fear Tamora, and nations have not issued a state of emergency because of our military presence unlike it happened because of Rokkenjiman forces and statements. In fact Tamoran help has been well received and welcomed in Zimalia and Clysperis. But what children do not understand is that some adults lie because it is in their interest to do so.

Pyrena Castle was quick to state that “remarks of the Crown Princess do not represent any policy of the Imperial Government, present or future” almost apologizing that the young princess dared speak the truth.

Thanasis Polakis to begin Zimalian tour to promote the joint Tamoran- Seleucid bid to host the Mundus games

Thanasis Polakis, the head of Polakis Energy and the VP of OPEN (ooc: Mundus’ OPEC) will begin a Zimalian tour to promote the Tamoran- Seleucid bid to host the Mundus games. Thanasis Polakis was entrusted by the Foreign Office with the mission to promote the joint bid because of his outstanding reputation in  Zimalia which has even earned him the Order of the Lion award from the President of Zimalia for his effort in seeing to the successful funding and construction of the Haghighi Dam.

The tour will include a meeting with representatives of the Zimalian government but also some cultural and sporting events including a fashion  show featuring the creations of Noemin Okeke, a very popular Zimalian fashion designer. All details of the tour as well as the schedule have yet to be released.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Opinion piece: Communi Hominum or fighting fire with fire

Opinion piece: Communi Hominum or fighting fire with fire

Security Council meeting of CTO. Could Pharaoh Akasha build a similar organisation, the Communi Hominum?

In a Mundus that is always busy because of terrorist attacks, sanctions and other unfortunate events one proposal was overlooked. A short while back the Pharaoh  of Clysperis proposed a community of nations(  Communi Hominum) in order to form an alternative to the current international system that is  dominated by a cartel that uses the present system to preserve and expand their power at the  expense  of the other nations. The Pharaoh is right in calling out East Moreland and saying that they “laid stake to the matter of refugees” and also pointed out the obvious fact that “Achkaerinese make a play for managing the conduct of international justice and international health”. These are countless such initiatives and treaties all made to constrain and control the other nations of Mundus to the will of the powers in change of the international system.

So if everything the Pharaoh said it’s true then why hasn’t anyone reacted to her proposal? None of the “third world” countries as the Pharaoh called them have reacted in any way. There were no reactions even in MidAranye. While perhaps it was expected that Ipsus would remain silent since it is known that there is a divide of visions between Pharaoh Akasha and King Heydar, even Djerb remained silent on the issue, refusing all comments on the matter. So why is that? I believe that there are a number of reasons and not all of them related to the viability of the proposal.

1.   Pharaoh Akasha has lost much of her credibility on the international stage and in MidAranye. The major factor here is no doubt the civil war. It showed that a significant part of the population oppose her and are willing to fight against her. But perhaps more importantly, inviting non MidAranye forces in Clysperis has tarnished her reputation as an ardent critic of the internationalist powers.  Many in Midaranye saw that when danger came, she resorted to outside help, even to nations such as Achkaerin which she often criticized. The Pharaoh took a gamble and lost; she thought she could use the crisis to gain allies outside of MidAranye like Achkaerin, Dragovah, NQF. Unfortunately for her, the last two re-entered a period or relative isolation while the old issues with Achkaerin resurfaced. What did she lose? It further damaged relations with Royal Seleucid and it annoyed nations such as Vanora, Safraen and Abuqiya.

2.   Pharaoh Akasha, despite her hard work and dedication, has in many respects failed to strengthen MidAranye. Nobody can dispute her dedication to MidAranye, the strong relations she has built with Djerb yet that does not erase the fact that the civil war has led to the suspension of the Northern part of the MidAranye economic corridor, the City of dreams which was supposed to make CLysperis rival the other nations of Mundus in terms of development is now but a memory, she blocked Royal Seleucid’s proposal to OPEN to sanction the Iwi for their terrorist attacks and has come up with little ways to strengthen bonds with its neighbors. That makes many in Midaranye unwilling to listen to proposals coming from the Pharaoh.

3.   The trust in Pharaoh Akasha’s ability to be the workhorse of such an initiative is low. Pharaoh Akasha does not have a track record of finishing proposed projects and lacks the experience required to see such a massive project like the Communi Hominum come to fruition. I think many even in the Foreign Office are reluctant to engage in such a project for fear that it would fall on them to do the work to see it through in some shape or form.

4.   The project overlaps with other efforts already being made in MidAranye. The Pharaoh has rightly pointed out East Moreland effective control over the International Refugee Support Agency (IRSA) but if we remember Tamora objected strongly to their leadership during the Clysperi refugee crisis and Royal Seleucid managed to use that so that IRSA accept a regionalized approach for MidAranye, one lead by Queen Chyrssa of Royal Seleucid. In fact the same Queen also proposed and started the International Women's Council (IWC), one informal organization meant to foster cooperation between women of influence from various Mundus countries.

5.   The proposed project is very ambitious; it will mean fighting fire with fire with the international institutions already built by the internationalist; institutions which have been operating for decades. That would mean a change from the current approach to international affairs Tamora has had which has favored bilateral relations rather than international organizations and multi-lateral treaties. In fact one would argue that Royal Seleucid would favor that approach more since it was them that started OPEN, IWC and are now in charge of IRSA’s MidAranye operations.

Does that mean Communi Hominum is dead? Right now from where we are standing it is hard to see it build momentum. The only person that can see to that happening is Pharaoh Akasha by proving wrong what I said above and overcoming the mentioned difficulties. In my view that is an impossible task.

God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

The unseen heroes of the Clysperis civil war

The unseen heroes of the Clysperis civil war: the medical staff in Djerb’s hospitals

A Clysperi patient being treated at the Wali Darbari Hospital in Djerb

As the Clysperis civil war rages on and the public almost has become accustomed to the increasing number of victims and the destruction it causes we often overlook those Tamorans that are on the front line in a different war: the medical staff treating the victims of the war. 80 Tamoran soldiers have died and more than 300 were wounded so far during Clysperis civil war with some of them being treated in Djerb’s hospitals, especially Djerb Imperial Hospital. But aside from the Tamorans treated,  there is also a significant amount of Clysperi being treated at Djerb’s hospitals. The exact number is not available to the public and is considered a state secret as is the identity of many of the Clysperi being treated there for security reasons. The doctors we have talked to have described the number of Clysperi being treated at Djerb’s hospitals as “many.”

The government would not allow us access to Djerb Imperial Hospital stating that as it is a military hospital and that we could pose a security risk for the patients there, some of whom are on the wanted listed of the Clysperi terrorists. However, we were allowed inside the Wali (ooc: Friend of God/saint) Darbari Hospital which is owned and operated by the Manist Church. We talked to the manager of the hospital, Imam Lal Orophi and he told us that despite the fact that the civil war is no longer making the headlines it used to make the number of patients coming from Clysperis has never stopped. Because of the security restrictions imposed by the government he declined to give us a clear number of patients treated here from Clysperis. He did however say that the youngest patient was a 6 years old boy and the oldest a 72 year old woman, both of which, thanks to God Almighty, made a full recovery. We talked at length with Imam Orophi about the effort in both resources and physical drain for the staff that taking in so many patients meant for the hospital with Iman concluding ”that it is all worth it if you are treating your friends in their darkest hours” adding that the hospital has received generous donations from many wealthy Tamoran to continue doing its good work. We also talked about how the families of the patients can help and he said that “in this hospital we follow word of God as it was written in the Book of the Prophet Mani. We are nothing more than instruments of God and we ask the families of patients to pray. That is very important to the staff, the patients and God“. At the end of the interview we also asked how long will the hospital keep receiving patients from Clysperis and the Iman was clear “ for as long as we will preach the word of the Prophet and his teachings. For no man that professes to follow the Prophet will turn his back on his friends. “

Spoiler:  highlights • show

The hospital features plenty of prayer rooms but they are mostly empty.

That is because relatives prefer to pray in hallways.

As do medical staff.

While patients pray near their beds.

Can Sarafian shipyard become the leading shipyard in MidAranye?

Analysts say that with the latest order five Bahura Class destroyers coming from Quintelia that might be a possibility. The joint Tamoran – Quintelian shipyard is proving a success.  The shipyard has also produce so far two destroyers and one amphibious ship, designed by Royal Seleucid, and built for the Tamoran navy.

“The shipyard has benefited greatly from the latest expansion of the Tamoran navy. And now with the Quntelian order of 5 destroyers its future looks brighter than ever. It has definitely surpassed most people’s expectations" said one analyst familiar with the project.  When contacted by TINS, the Foreign Office has also praised the joint Tamoran Quintelian project as a “success” and has described Tamoran Quintelian relations as “better than ever before and growing”.

Police in Attica confiscated a record amount of cocaine: 4500 pounds

TINS news anchor

The police in the federated kingdom of Attica have announced the confiscation of 4500 pounds of cocaine that were being smuggled through the port of Alaverdi. Authorities report that drug smuggling has increased in the last two years because of economic hardships caused by foreign sanctions as more and more Tamorans resort to drugs out of desperations.

The police have arrested a dozen suspects in connection with the drugs with sources saying others will follow. Sources close to the police say the drugs originated from Phuebra and that despite the capture, the flow of drugs to Tamora is still increasing and they are pressuring the imperial government to take measures that will help stop the flow of drugs from the source.

Alya Safavid, the Head of Foreign Affairs, has departed for Ardia where she will be visiting Quintelia and Phubra

The Foreign Office has announced that Lady Alaya Safavid has departed for Ardia where she is set to meet with her counterparts in Quintealia and Phuebra. The visit she will be making in these two countries are part of a wider effort of the Foreign Office to build support of the Tamoran- Seleucid bid to host the Mundus Games. Alya Safavid has just finished a MidAranye tour which had the same goal.
The Foreign Office has stated that the recent confiscation of the 4500 pounds of cocaine which allegedly came from Phuebra will has not affected the agenda of the meeting with the Phuebran counterparts.

What will happen after the war?

What will happen after the war?

Many parts of Clysperis have been greatly affected by the war with one local Imam describing the situation as dire as the times of the Soviet occupation

The recent victories of Pharaoh Akasha have turned the tide of the war and the rebels’ days now seemed numbered. The question is no longer what the end will look like but when will it happen. While officials have not stated this publicly that seems to be the general perception at the Imperial Palace. Further proof of this is that sources close to the Foreign Office have said the imperial government is already considering the aftermath of the war.

The war in Clysperis has left hundreds of thousands displaced if not more and over ten thousand civilians have been killed so far*. The cost in human lives is staggering and it now seems that the Imperial government is making plans regarding the reconstruction effort. Clysperis will need billions of dinars/USD if not more in order to rebuild, it will also need a plan on how to best address the reconstruction efforts. While there is no doubt that the Imperial government will help Clysperis there is debate on the manner of how to do it. One proposal is to use the already excellent bilateral relations, the other is to go for a MidAranye approach that could see the formation of a Midaranye reconstruction bank which could see other nations from MidAranye give money through that multination bank, the third option would be a mix of the two though perhaps not as ambitious as forming a multination bank.

Whatever the approach the government will take, it will have to choose fast since the stability of post war Clysperis will be dependent on how fast the country recovers from the calamity of war.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

*Beatrice has confirmed the numbers.

Lodja is waking up

Lodja is waking up

TINS news anchor

The people of Lodja are slowly waking up as we can see from the latest statements made by the leader of a small party who said that “We have seen a series of issues brought about by the relaxed liberal attitude of our nation. We have a raising amount of STD's, young girls are essentially being brought as wives in the Plebleian community, corruption runs rampant in many aspects of daily life and we see a sense of selfishness among most people. These are not values a nation should have and we must change it. If we are elected we shall campaign to end prostitution”.

While of course she did not say that the first thing they should do is cancel the slave master relation they have with East Moreland that only encourages this kind of behavior, still her speech is a breath of fresh air in a country where prostitutes are celebrated on national TV and get record audiences. And how did the political establishment react to that? They called her a “traitor” because truth is treason in the empire of lies. What Zhenya Marina Vasilev did was both brave and very dangerous because criticizing the government in such harsh terms poses serious risks for her safety. They are first trying to intimidate her by calling her a traitor, should she not give up they would take more serious actions against her.

Other news in brief

The Foreign Office has congratulated ambassador Verspasian Atreides of the theocracy of Kaitaine for news that he is now the father of a second child.

Common Defense League with Tamoran military support score major victory against the rebels of Clysperis, their territory is now split in two. 723 CDL fighters have died to secure that victory.

“The darkness is always greatest before the coming of dawn” says Pharaoh Akasha during the groundbreaking ceremony in Setri.

The Foreign Office announces the opening of new refugee camps in Clysperis
« Reply #157 on: April 05, 2020, 11:43:52 AM »
Local date in Tamora (Islamic calendar): 12th Shaban, 1441h Sunday

The Foreign Office announces the opening of new refugee camps in Clysperis

One of the camps will be north of Tarfu, close to the border with Waddan, the other in the South of Heshiken, close to the border with Abuqyia, also in CDL territory

The Foreign office has announced that it has opened two new refugee camps, one North of Tarfu and close to the border with Waddan and one south of Heshiken, near the border with Abuqyia, in the CDL controlled territory. Each camp is equipped to take in 12 thousand refugees each and further camps could be opened if deemed necessary. The Foreign Office has announced that  it has opened the refugee camps in an effort to relieve pressure on the Clysperis-Waddan border that has seen an increasing number of attempt to cross the border especially since the rebel controlled territory has been collapsing causing many more Clysperi to flee the inevitable conflict in Heshiken.

The Foreign Office admits that opening the camps will help but will not solve the problem as refugees would have to cross the de fact border that exists between rebel controlled territory and the government of Clysperis something many Clysperi will he reluctant to do for fear of getting caught up the fighting.

The Foreign Office announces offers support to Waddan

The Foreign Office has announced that it is offering support to Waddan to help with the current influx of Clysperi refuges crossing the border illegally. The support package offer to the Waddan tribes through their representative, the Sultan, includes one thousand Tamoran frontier officers to secure the border, financial assistance of ten million dinars(usd) to provide for the refugees in Waddan and offering refugees there to come to Tamora should they choose so, at the expense of the Tamoran government. Foreign affairs Alya Safavid, has said: “the number of illegal crossings in Waddan has placed a strain on their resources. We aim with their package to offer direct support to the United Tribes of Waddan aside from the indirect one with opening the extra refugee camps”. When asked whether she believes Waddan will accept the help, Lady Safavid has this to say “We hope they do but we are of course willing to listen if they should need a different kind of assistance. Should they choose to handle the crisis alone, I understand. However, the united tribes of Waddan must also understand that the Tamoran Empire has a responsibility towards the security and wellbeing of Clysperi. The relation between our two people is a special one and the Tamoran Empire will not abandon the Clysperi people during these difficult times and will continue to try and find avenues to help them.”

Colonel Karad Goshtasb receives the highest decoration of the Tamoran Empire

Tamoran forces parading in Djerb

Djerb celebrated the victory over the terrorists in Clysperis with massive a military parade honoring the 100 Tamoran soldiers who gave their lives to protect the Clysperi people from terrorism, as well as the 400 soldiers who were wounded in the war. But the parade was also dedicated to Colonel Karad Goshtasb, the commander of the Tamoran forces in Clysperis, who was instrumental in achieving victory over the terrorists.

In the central square of Djerb, Emperor Abbas personally awarded Colonel Karad Goshtasb the height decoration: Hero of the Tamoran Empire for his extraordinary service to the Empire of Tamora.  Aside from Colonel Karad Goshtasb, five other members of the Imperial Armed forces were given the highest military decoration: the Crescent of Valor  for showing exceptional valor at the risk of life and beyond the call of duty.

Aside from members of the military, three Clysperi nationals also received civilian decorations:

Imam Nivrad Kohidaroo – was awarded the Crescent of the Prophet (posthumous) for preaching the word of the Prophet in the rebel controlled areas against the ban issues by the rebels.  He was eventually arrested by the rebels during temple service and executed.
Imam Yousef Rivetna -  was awarded the Crescent of the Prophet for preaching the word of the Prophet in the rebel controlled areas against the ban issued by the rebels. He continued to clandestinely organize religious services and was instrumental in insuring the faithful in his neighborhood continued to have access to the word of the Prophet.
Nurse Mania Baam – was awarded the Order of the Prophet for clandestinely providing medical care to Common Defense League fighters and their families that were caught in rebel territories. She was caught, detained and tortured by the rebels. She was eventually freed after Tamoran forces liberated the area.

The Clysperi civil war marks the largest military engagement undertaken by Tamoran forces in the XXIst century.

Special interview with Alya Safavid on the Clysperi reconstruction

Special interview with Alya Safavid on the Clysperi reconstruction

Lady Alya Safavid gave an interview to TINS on the Clysperi reconstruction

Alya Safavid, the head of Foreign Affairs, gave an interview where she talked at length about the aftermath of the Clysperi civil war and the Tamoran-Clysperi relations. We have selected for our viewers the main highlights.

“We are grateful to God for the victory and proud of the exemplary service our men showed during the civil war. They played a key role in liberating many Clysperi from the terrorist occupation.
While the so called “confederacy” is no more we must remain vigilant. Tamoran intelligence will continue to work closely with their Clysperi counterparts to seek out any remaining elements of the confederacy that may have hidden among the general population.

The Tamoran government is extremely pleased to see that Pharaoh Akasha is already initiating well thought reforms to strengthen the kingdom of Clysperis. It’s clear that she has a vision for Clysperis and now that the terrorists have been defeated has a clear mandate to implement it. While the fighting has stopped, Tamoran support for the Clysperi people will continue. Emperor Abbas has already instructed the Tamoran government to immediately allocate 2 bln dinars(usd) to the Clysperi government for investments in infrastructure. A further 100 million dinars(usd) will be given to the Manist Church of Clysperis which has seen so much persecution in the areas occupied by the rebels.

We fully support Pharaoh Akasha decision to expand the teaching of Parthian in the secondary grades. This will help bring our two nations closer together. We realize that finding so many qualified teachers of Parthian will be a problem for Clysperis and I have instructed the Foreign Office to make arragements with their Clysperi counterparts to see the transfer of one thousand teachers from Tamora to Clysperi to help teach the language. We will of course also send the necessary supplies like textbooks so that Pharaoh Akasha can implement her reforms as soon as possible and that future generation of Clysperi can benefit from knowing the Parthian language which will open many opportunities for them.

On the Clysperi refugees in Tamora, of which estimates are that there are over one hundred thousand, I want to make clear to them that they are welcomed to stay as long as they wish. We already have agreements in place that allow them to work in Tamora. We believe they are a great asset to both Tamora and Clysperis as part of the money they will earn here will be sent to Clysperis and help rebuild the country.

The future of Tamoran- Clysperi relations is an ever growing integration on as many areas as possible. The civil war has proven that ever closer ties between are two nations are beneficial to the security, stability and prosperity of Clysperis and the entire Midaranye region."

Other news in brief:

Foreign Office announces plans to reopen the Tamoran embassy in Rokkenjima following the First Empire’s decision to change sanctions against Tamora, a relative period of calm between the two nations and the change in leadership in Rokkenjima. For now the embassy will focus on cultural pursuits in an effort to educate Rokkenjimans about Tamoran culture.

Latest survey suggests the Bene Gesserit community in Tamora numbers almost a thousand souls. However, the survey shows that the beliefs espoused by most members of the community mirror many of the traditional beliefs found the in the Manist and Islamic religious communities. More surveys will be conducted in the future the NGO says.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

The Tamoran economy recovers after almost two years of recession

TINS news anchor

The Imperial Institute of Statistics has confirmed that the Tamoran economy has finally recovered from recession and is now looking at an almost 2% increase in GDP for the current year, in line with what has been achieved in the years previous to the recession.

Economic analysts have said that there are several reasons why the economy has recovered, among them being the opening of new markets in MidAranye as new nations have emerged from isolation and are looking to trade with Tamora, the expansion of trade with Zimalia, which is now a major non MidAranye market for Tamoran goods, the partial lifting of sanctions by nations such as Rokkenjima and a huge increase in exports to Elysium which now becoming Tamora’s ”gateway to Mundus” as one analyst called it. Furthermore, morere and more large Tamoran businesses have opened subsidiaries in Elysium allowing them to deal with foreign companies on an equal basis which also helped the Tamoran economy. King Heydar Enterprise Link Platform and the Midaranye Free Trade Zone in Royal Seleucid also helped the economy recover from the recession.

Other news in brief:

Tamoran Olympic Committee has agreed to allow athletes to compete in immodest sports such as swimming and others. Understanding that some cultures in the Empire share a very different definition of what immodesty is and athletes from those federated kingdoms want to compete under the Tamoran flag, the Tamoran decided to relax the restrictions. This will likely mean that Tamoran athletes will participate in greater numbers at the next Mundus Olympic Games.

Crown prince Jamshid Safavid and his First Wife, Princess Thekla of Royal Seleucid, will be spending the honeymoon in Royal Seleucid. According to the press release, the two royals will be spending time with the Soter royal family of Royal Seleucid, tour the country, meet with leaders of the Manist community in Royal Seleucid, and spend time in Deh Kord and the Lake Palace.

Total population of Tamora reaches a new record of 255,005,436 souls. That is two million more than last year’s population of 252,439,936. The Manist Church has welcomed the news as a sign of the good moral fiber of the society and the strong family values it preaches among its members. The recession does not seem to have affected the fertility rate which continues to stand above 3.

New Olympic stadium opens in the federated kingdom of Attica, as the kingdom prepares for the Tamoran- Seleucid joint bid to host the Mundus Games.

Tamora Imperial Bank acquires Orl Bank in Safraen

Tamora Imperial Bank acquires Orl Bank in Safraen

Toor Medhora, the head of Tamora Imperial Bank (TIB) has talked to TINS at length about their acquisition of the Safaren bank

TIB (Tamora Imperial Bank), the largest bank in the Empire has announced it has reached an agreement with Orl Bank from Safraen to acquire all shares for 120 million dinars (usd). Olr Bank in Safraren is a small to medium size bank that focuses on small cities and the rural parts of Safraen and has a market share of 4.5% of the Safaren banking sector.

According to sources familiar with the deal Olr Bank had been struggling to compete with the larger banks in the country and the shareholders were looking for an exist before the bank would start losing money. TIB on the other had had been looking to expand in other MidAranye countries for some time and after incorporating a subsidiary in Elysium, has acquired Olr Bank though that subsidiary. This is the first foreign acquisition the bank has made.

We talked with Toor Medhora, the head of TIB about what the acquisition means for both institutions and the future prospects of TIB.  We will present to you a couple of highlights:

-Mr. Medhora I guess many are thinking why Safraen? There are plenty of other countries where TIB could have chosen to expand.
-As all our Tamoran customers already know, we are bank fully owned by the Church of Mani. The mission of the bank is to serve its customers according to the laws laid by the Prophet.  In many MidAranye countries there are sharia compliant banks that serve their customers in an ethical matter, Safaraen was lacking this and we want to serve the faithful there. There are approx. 20% Muslim in Safaren and we believe they deserve to have opportunity to work with a sharia compliant bank.

- Why Olr Bank? What exactly was different about this bank as opposed to others in Safraen?
-The bank has a good portfolio of clients in rural areas and in small cities. Most of its credit portfolio is made up of retail, agri loans and small business, something our bank is specialized in. Despite our size we have never focused on large businesses so Olr Bank fits our profile perfectly.

-What changes can employees of Olr Bank expect? We have received numerous emails from employees asking about potential layoffs. Have they reason to fear?
-Things will change for Olr Bank, it will be intergraded into TIB. There will be a transition period where the bank will continue to operate under the current name but by the beginning of next year we expect the transition to TIB to be fully implemented. I know there are some concerns among the employees of the bank about what this transition and integration will mean for their job security and I assure them that we do not have an agenda of cost reductions planned. We will be shifting focus, we will be encouraging Olr Bank employees to adopt TIB values and implement a new strategy but we hope they will be receptive and continue to work with us as TIB.

-What values will TIB be implementing in Olr Bank?
-The first major shift will be to go from an interest based bank as Olr Bank was to to one that does not use usury of any kind. We will then be looking closer at the credit portfolio and make sue the clients are in accordance to our ethical code, that we are not financing production of alcohol, gambling and other immoral activities and we will also make sure our employees also follow the ethical code. We have presented to them our new uniforms and we got a positive feedback.

Spoiler:  new employee uniforms • show

Olr bank employees will have to wear the standard TIB uniforms available for employees in Tamora

-   Are you not worried that such a strict ethical code will make the bank lose customers especially in a foreign country such as Safraen which is not known for its strong moral focus?
-   We will lose some customers of course but we believe we will gain new ones. We are not aiming to become the number one bank in Safaren, though of course we will not be displeased if that were to happen. What we aim is to offer our customers an ethical choice when it comes to banking. As I said, there are 20% Muslim in Safaren which we hope will appreciate our ethical focus. However, the bank will seek to work with all regardless of religion. After all, we believe most people will appreciate working with a bank that promotes good values in the community, that does not help grow the vice industry, that promotes modesty and an ethical behavior.  We also plan on offering our clients incentives. As I said, we have a lot of experience with small businesses and agriculture loans and we will work closely with our partners Jalal Deer to make sure our customers have access to the best possible prices and services.

-Will TIB be looking to expand in other countries?
-Absolutely, we believe it is our moral duty to bring to customers the choice of ethical banking. Because this why TIB was founded, to serve our customers in an ethnical manner.

-Thank you so much for the interview.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Midaranye Shield military exercise took place this week

TINS news anchor

The Midaranye Shield military exercise took place this week.  The exercise featured a robust foreign presence by having 18 x F-21 fighters from Royal Seleucid while the Heyran Republic was present with 2 destroyers, 8 heavy-lift strategic transport aircraft; 2 F-7 Dragonheart; 8 Tamoran manufactured Su-35; 200 operational soldiers and the first operational prototype of the D001 drone.  The exercise hosted by Tamora included a Tamoran participation of 5000 soldiers, two amphibious transport docks and 24 x Su57 fighters.
The exercise simulated an invasion by sea of the federated kingdom of Attica and Heyran port city of Elysium with the defending force having to repel the attack.

The Foreign Office issued formal complaint following revelations that New Derusmia was involved in Clysperis

The Foreign Office has called the latest revelations that at least ten New Derusmian strategists were involved in supporting the rebels in the kingdom of Clysperis a “grave violation the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Clysperis” as well as potentially causing harm to Tamoran troops fighting in Clysperis.  “New Derusmia needs to make a fully inquiry in order to determine the extent of the support the New Derusmian government provided the terrorists in Clysperis”.

Tamora Imperial Bank continues its expansion aboard by acquiring Nafu Bank in Clysperis

Tamora Imperial Bank will soon bring its business model to Clysperis

Just days after TIB (Tamora Imperial Bank) announced the acquisition of Orl Bank in Safraen, TIB has announced it has reached a deal where it will buy 100% of the shares in Nafu Bank of Clysperis. The Clysperi bank is one of the largest banks in the Clysperi kingdom with a market share of approx. 8.5% and has approx. 1 mil clients. TIB representatives have said that the transaction is valued at 60 million dinars (usd).  Analysts estimate that Nafu Bank, like most CLysperi banks, was been affected by the Clysperi civil war and decided to sell the bank rather than have to bring money to support it the following years.

We talked again with Toor Medhora, the head of TIB, about what the acquisition means for both institutions and the future prospects of TIB.  We will present to you a couple of highlights:

-I would like to ask you why did TIB first expand in Safraen and only now in Clysperis?
-We wanted to expand in Clysperis for quite some time but the civil war put on hold the talks we had with our Clysperi partners. Now that the civil war is over we were quick to seal deal and be among the first foreign investors in Clysperis.

-What is the strategy for TIB in Clysperis? Will Nafu Bank operate independently or will it be integrated into TIB?
-  Tamora Imperial Bank as a matter of policy does not operate local brands so the Nafu Bank brand will be gradually phased out. As for our strategy, we want to focus on connecting the Clysperi diaspora aboard to their families back home. There are approx. 200,000 Clysperis working in Tamora and several thousands in if not more working in Safraen sending money back home to their families.  We estimate that the Clysperi diaspora in Tamora is sending home each month about 100 million dinars (usd). We want for them to be able to use TIB whether they are in Tamora, Safraen or Clysperis and easily send money home. We will also launch several products designed to help them. So for example Clysperi immigrants working in Tamora to be able to apply for a loan that will be disbursed to their families living in Clysperis. We know that the situation is dire in some parts of Clysperis so having the ability to quickly their family with extra money via a loan can make a world of difference especially in rural areas.

-What challenges specific to CLysperis do you expect to face?
-The Civil war has greatly affected and disturbed the life of ordinary people. It has also affected institutions that were temporary and illegally under the control of the rebels. For examples the branches of Nafu Bank in rebel controlled territory operated, because of the rebel restrictions, as a separate entity, some of those braches have been I would say looted by rebels. The task to get things in order and to get the bank functioning in the former rebel controlled areas is a top priority. We will also have to do an audit to see the damage done by the rebels. This is a mammoth task but we are ready to tackle it.

-Will TIB he going to court and try to recover the damages through the Clysperi Restitution Fund which was recently been announced by Pharaoh Akasha?
- It’s too early to say. We understand that the Clysperi Restitution Fund needs to pay a lot individuals who have quite frankly lost everything to the rebels. So we expect the Clysperi Restitution Fund to be overwhelmed with such demands and to prioritize those. We will coordinate with Clysperi authorities and see if we can come to some arrangement. I for one hope that TIB can be one of the beneficiaries of the recently announced community service program for former rebels, allowing them to repay some of the damages they caused by forking for the bank.

- We talked about the specific challenges for Clysperis but what are its opportunities and strengths?
-The fact that the two countries use the same currency, the Tamoran dinar, is a great advantage. We also have seen a lot of openness in Her Majesty’s government to engage with the business community which is also a major asset. Aside from this there is the cultural element that is also very important. Tamoran businesses enjoy a great deal of trust in Clysperi society. In all the studies we did, Clysperi public associates Tamoran businesses with trustworthiness, reliability and stability which as a business is a great reputation to start with. There is also a significant Manist and Muslim community as well as the fact that almost 30% of the Clysperi population speaks Parthian at least at a minimum level which, thanks to Her Majesty’s recent decision to expand Parthian into secondary grades, will only increase in the future. As for the opportunities, Clysperis is a market of almost 33 million people, that is more than twice the population of Safraen and Clyspris combined. At present, because of external factors, the standard of living is low but there is a lot of potential from growth and we have the opportunity to help Clysperis rebuild and grow.
- You said that TIB will help Clysperis rebuild and growth, how will it do that?

-First, by providing the necessary stability to Clysperis’ banking system. TIB is a large, robust bank that has been around for three hundred years and has the full backing of the Church of Mani. Clysperi customers can feel secure knowing their money is safe with us and foreign investors in Clysperis, be they from Tamora or even outside of MidAranye, can also have the confidence of knowing they have a solid banking partner though which to handle their transactions. That is a must if the Clysperis economy is to recover.

Secondly, we plan on offering our expertise to Clysperi entrepreneurs to help them start a business, grow, sustain their families and eventually begin to hire other people. For example we have a great partnership with Jalal Deer Agricultural Conglomerate which we believe greatly benefits farmers.

Lastly, we will help Clysperi business and non-government organizations to attract foreign investment which is needed in Clysperis. For example, their Majesties Alya Safavid and Haniyah Soter, have announced they started a large charity called 4C which aims, among other things, to build orphanages in Clysperis. We will seek to work with the 4C charity and with Clysperi entrepreneurs to see that funding reach them and also provide 4C the oversight needed to know their money is well spent.

-Thank you so much for the interview.

Rokkenjima: less than 55% of eligible Rokenjimans support the monarchy

The latest results from Rokkenjima: less than 55%of eligible Rokenjimans support the monarchy

TINS news anchor

What was supposed to be a demonstration of force to the President of Nueva Ardia turned out be a show of weakness. With all the Rokkenjiman monarchy working hard to make regular citizens vote for them and scare them that a vote against will mean a return to the dark age of the Federal republic, 29% or almost three out of ten Rokkenjimans could not care less about the monarchy and didn’t even show up to vote. Of those that did 23% or almost one in four voted for an end to the monarchy which have brought them so much embarrassment in recent years. When factoring the people who did not vote and those that voted against, we see the Rokkenjiman monarchy enjoying the support of less than 55% of the eligible voters in Rokkenjima and that is with the voter irregularities which have been reported. What irregularities? Nothing to worry, just non Rokkenjiman citizens voting in their referendum. In case you are wondering what citizens from other countries just happened to vote, it was reported that at least one Morelander citizen (surprising, I know), voted in the referendum. So even with Morelanders voting in their referendum and they still they couldn’t get more pass the 55% support mark.

But perhaps the worst part of it was the constant seeking of approval from the Morelanders. The RBC news cast mentions a Major Redfern no less than five times. He is credited with having “designed and managed” the observation of the referendum and as a guarantor of the impartiality of the system. Pyrena Castle even officially thanked him for his “services” while forgetting to thank the Rokkejiman people. Though perhaps it is understandable since the Rokkenjiman people didn’t prove very supportive of the Rokkenjiman monarchy even with the Moralender “services” put to work.

Many MidAranye countries could potentially benefit from Aosta’s recent tariff reform

The recent tariff reform introduced by the Aosta Empire makes many of the nations of MidAranye potentially eligible for the reduce tariffs, if they also respect the second condition for them to lower tariffs in return. With the GDP per capita requirement of 10,500 dinars(usd) per capita, the MidAranre nations of Clysperis, Socram, Safraen, Abuqiya and Waddan could all benefit from the having no tariffs when entering Aosta’s western ports. Economic analysts have said this has the potential of providing a boost to economic activity in the region and will look closely to see how MidAranye governments will react in the following days.

The mostly unnoticed Fleur activity all over Mundus

The Republic of Fleur has been discreetly expanding its network of schools across Mundus. No less than 10 Mundus countries now have Fleur schools in their countries. The total number of students surpasses 75,000 students and will likely continue to rapidly increase. While we do not have the official data, estimates say that the total number of students in Fleur is around 2.7 million. So right now the foreign students represent about 3% of students enrolled in Fleur’s education system. However, at the current rate with which Fleur is expanding its foreign schools it could reach 10% in a few years.

Is there a reason to be worried? Most analysts we talked to say yes. Through its schools Fleur promotes not just the use of its alien language but also its alien values which are antithetical to Tamoran values and the values of most of Mundus. Fleur having a population of less than 21 million people is fully aware that using force will not get them far so they attempt to influence the young generation. Will they be successful? In a decade Fleur will have tens of thousands of graduates from their schools that speak French fluently, a great pool not just attract talent to their country but also to act as informal ambassadors of Fleur in their respective countries. Mundus will not be shaped by Fleur in a decade but it will definitely be influenced by it unless Tamora through its institutions, like the Church, moves fast to counter such an influence.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Explaining why the Rokkenjiman monarchy is not very popular

Explaining why the Rokkenjiman monarchy is not very popular

TINS news anchor

We explained in our previous show that less than 55% of the Rokkenjiman people support the monarchy and that includes potential fraud as reported by the Rokkejiman press where there has been at least one incident of Morelander citizens voting. And how did the current empress of Rokkenjima react to the news report? Let show you.

(the screen shows the tweet translated in Parthian)

The empress calls all those that disagree with her monarchy, slavers and terrorists sympathizers. That’s the message she has for the more than 45% of Rokkenjimans who did not vote for her monarchy.  Such disrespect for her own people is perhaps one of the reasons why the Rokkenjiman monarchy is where it today. At the end she even has the nerve to say she won’t be losing any sleep over those like the Rokkenjimans who didn’t vote for her monarchy.

The response of Empress Evanthe also shows two things, first that she is not used to criticism of the press and secondly that she is severely lacking in diplomatic skill. We say the latter because she seems to be unaware that no Tamoran government official has criticized her or her monarchy, in fact none have even mentioned her name since we are sure they have better things to do. To attempt to insult the Tamoran Empire over statements made at TINS shows the Empress is not just a novice to ruling an empire but also a novice to diplomacy regardless of how many years she has in the field.  Empress Evanthe is fully aware that she will be spending only a few years on the throne since Princess Adriana is set to take the throne. However, that is no reason to trash the Rokkenjiman monarchy in such way that there is nothing left of the monarchy when Princess Adriana comes of age.

Is Lakhzovia too small and too independent for the Cross-Straits Union?

Is Lakhzovia too small and too independent for the Cross-Straits Union?

TINS news anchor

The announcement that Lakhzovia’s application to the Cross-Straits Union was rejected has caused protests in Lakhzovia. The official explanation that Lakhzovia was rejected because of its human rights abuses and their dealing with the Utman refugees did not convince anyone.  If those would have been the reasons then CSU should have informed the Lakhzov government that there was no point in applying. Instead Lakhzovia went through difficult reforms while being led to believe they would have a seat at the table if they implement those reforms. Now they found out they were lied to.

One question that remains unanswered is what they did wrong? If one were to guess, they exhibited too much independence for their size when it comes to foreign relations. Lakhzovia is not a large country nor is it a rich one, so in Mundus they should be content to follow the lead of the Occidental powers as Pharaoh Akasha called them. Lakhzovia did so for the most part but at their rather small size "for the most part" was not enough and they paid the price.

The other question that remains is what Lakhzovia’s next move will be. President Kadassa has always managed to reinvent himself and adapt when circumstances changed.  One avenue to pursue is ever closer ties with Rokkenjima as the new Rokkenjiman Empress had indicated she is interested in seeing. However, it remains to be seen if that path is more like a dead end and whether President Kadassa might decide that perhaps he should explore other avenues. What will President Kadassa do only the Prophet knows now but in time we too will know.

Riots in Soleimani

Riots in Soleimani

TINS news anchor

While the nation of Soleimani is flexing its military might aboard, at home the nation is becoming more divided with riots taking place in the Southern provinces. Weeks ago Pharaoh Enna Amenei of Abydos warned of the growing rift taking place in Islam giving Soleimani as an example where so many Muslims are forced to live in a country that allows “gambling, drinking, even homosexuals to join their military and marry”. While the government of Soleimani took note of the concerns and passed legislation that attempts to protect the regular Muslims from the harmful effects up such sinful behaviors it seems that liberals in the South of Soleimani are the one causing problems.

Will the government of Soleimani return to the path set forward by the Koran and abolish the legislation that puts it at odds with much of the rest of the Muslim world? Will Soleimani spilt in two along ideological lines? So far is too early to tell.

A Morelander win: refugees from Ubriekkland arrive in East Moreland

The recent tariff reform introduced by the Aosta Empire makes many of the nations of MidAranye potentially eligible for the reduce tariffs, if they also respect the second condition for them to lower tariffs in return. President Ebston Feish of New Derusmia apologizes to the kingdom of Clysperis

President Ebston Feish of New Derusmia has issued a formal apology to the government of CLysperi and the Clysperi people over Derusmian involvement in the Clysperi civil war. Many Tamoran foreign policy experts have praised the Derusmian president as a rare case where a foreign leader admits to not just to the involvement in the affairs of a MidAranye state but also that they have done wrong. “New Derusmia is far from the most egregious of foreign powers that have sought over the decades to impose their will and values in MidAranye. As the countries of Midaranye grow stronger more such attempts will be curbed and will come to light “ said one foreign policy expert.

Analysts expect the move made by President Ebston Feish to go a long way towards healing relations between New Derusmia and Tamora which have been strained since the start of the civil war in Clysperis.

The Foreign Office criticized EMAC arms company for selling fighters to A.H.R.

The Foreign office has criticized EMAC for selling military equipment to separatist elements in NQF. The Morelander EMAC company is known throughout Mundus for unscrupulous selling of military equipment to anyone willing to buy. The recent delivery of fighters to the separatist AHR is just the most recent example. The AHR is a separatist state that has refused to comply to NQF’s calls to peacefully rejoined the federation.  Unfortunately , the most recent sale of arms to AHR only emboldens the extremist elements in AHR to use the force of arms rather than peacefully negotiate with NQF. Should, Prophet forbid, NQF be forced to use force in order to bring back the people of AHR under the authority and protection of NQF then the loss of life that would follow will be in no small part the responsibility of EMAC which has put yet again profit before human life.

The NQF government was among the states that have sent troops to Clysperis in support of Phraoah Akasha’s efforts to defeat the rebels that were threating to take control of the country.

Special interview with lady Alya Safavid on the recent developments in Mundus

Lady Alya Safavid gave an interview to TINS on the recent developments in Mundus

This Sunday we had the pleasure of talking with Lady Safavid, the Head of Foreign Affairs, about the recent developments in Mundus affairs and the future of Tamora’s foreign relations. We will now show you the main highlights of the interview:

-First, thank you for agreeing to the interview. Let me start by asking you how is the joint bid to host the Mundus Games going? You’ve travelled extensively to promote the bid visiting nations such as Centralia or Kinkhnnland for the first time, what is the feedback you are getting?
-It has been a great pleasure to travel aboard to promote the bid to host the Mundus Games together with our friends and family the Seleucids. It was also an opportunity to talk to representatives of the highest levels of countries we had not the opportunity to do so before. I would say the feedback was positive and that our joint bid raised interest and people wanted to know more about it.

-Recently the kingdom of Tytor has announced its bid to host the Mundus Games. What is your opinion about that?
-I welcome the bid by the kingdom of Tytor. The more countries bid the better it is for the Mundus Games in general since people will have more opinions to choose from.

-Since we are talking about the kingdom of Tytor, they and the First Empire of Rokkenjima have been very critical about Tamora’s decision to support the government of Merina by sending troops to stop the terrorists there. How do you comment on their statements and will they stop Tamora from supporting the government of Merina?
-Our first reaction was of dismay, to see the First Empire of Rokkenjima and the Kingdom of Tytor so adamantly opposed to having Tamora provide much needed military support to our Merinan friends in their struggle to bring stability to the country made little sense to us if they were most concerned about the fate of the Merinan people. We had hoped they would support our efforts in Merina so that our job to bring peace there could be achieved faster. Unfortunately, these two nations seem have chosen to put their interests above the welfare of the Merinan people who want peace and a return to stability for their country.
While we were disappointed with the reaction of the First Empire and its kingdom we remain determined in our effort to help the Merinan government to secure peace. The Tamoran Empire has made a commitment to the government of Merina and its people and the Tamoran Empire takes its commitments seriously.

-  There has been ample speculation that Rokkenjima’s recent statements threatening the Tamoran people with more sanctions are driven by their domestic problems. The latest referendum has showed their monarchy enjoying a support of less than 55% of eligible voters. That and the massive spending Rokkenjima is putting towards its war machine has given rise to speculations that their recent anti Tamoran rhetoric is fueled by the need to create a bogyman for the average Rokkenjiman in order to divert their attention from the problems of their monarchy and to justify their massive military spending. Do you think there is truth to this?
-I will not comment on the First Empire’s domestic problems. What I will say is that the Tamoran Empire is not an enemy or an adversary as they portray us in their media and their public discourse. In fact in many ways we are not even competing, Tamora has its own path which hardly intersects with the two nations I have previously mentioned.

-I will linger on the topic more and ask you about the recent motion against the Tamoran people proposed by Rokkenjima before the CTO. This motion proposed the harshest of sanctions seeking to bankrupt all Tamoran businesses, forbid CTO nations from sending ambassadors to Tamora and even athletes. The Heyran representative has called the proposed sanctions brutal. What is the Tamoran position on this?
- The recent motion proposed before the CTO is quite frankly a diplomatic fiasco. CTO which has few members and dwindling is trying to punish us because we are do not abide by the MCUR. This is something that should worry all non-signatory nations since CTO has taken on them to punish nations that do not conform to MCUR. This is something which for example Pharaoh Akasha of the kingdom of Clysperis has warned about before. It has also exposed the organization for what it really is, a Rokkejiman dominated organization that has no legitimacy outside its sphere of influence. But more importantly is has exposed Empress Evanthe as a warmonger. The sanctions proposed fall short of all but a declaration of war, ruin relations between the Tamoran Empire of the First Empire of Rokkenjima and  increase instability in Mundus. And this is only but the latest from a long list of provocations coming from the First Empire of Rokkenjima. There are not the actions of an organization that seeks peace or of a monarch that strives for peace and diplomacy.

- Should the Tamoran people fear the CTO motion?
-Not at all, this is just a publicity stunt on the part of the Rokkenjimans. In fact there are debating a second motion to disband their organization. It is clear the Rokkejimans are using the motion against Tamora to create a purpose for the CTO and to attempt to deceive people that the organization is still functioning or that it even has a purpose.

-Will the Tamoran Empire respond in kind to these sanctions?
-No, not at all. What the First Empire of Rokkenjima and the kingdom of Tytor seem to crave aside from attention on the word stage is a crisis and an escalation of hostilities. The Tamoran Empire is above such games, we will continue to welcome any citizen from these countries in the Empire to trade, to visit and most importantly to come and pray at our holy sites. Should we and our Seleucid friends win the bid to host the Mundus games we will treat athletes from those two countries with great hospitality like we will do with those from the rest of the nations.

- Moving away to more positive things, the nation of Soleimani, an Islamic nation, has recently emerged from isolation. Will Tamora seek to develop relations with Soleimani?
-We always welcome more Muslim nations in Mundus and we are therefore pleased to see Soleimani emerging from isolation. We hope we will get the chance to develop relations.

-What do you make of the statements made by the Pharaoh Enna Amenei of Abydos in relation with Soleimani and the Muslim community there? And how will that affect the potential development of relations between Tamora and Soleimani?
-I think Pharaoh Enna Amenei was right to express his concerns and those concerns are shared by many in the Muslim community in Tamora. I am pleased that the Soleimani Republic has taken measure to alleviate some of those concerns. That is an issue that we would have to talk about when our two nations meet but I believe where there is faith and respect for the teachings common in our two religions there can be found common ground.

- I would like to ask you about the recent statements made by Pharaoh Akasha that has talked about a Mundus divided between the Occident and the Orient. The Foreign Affairs ministry on the other hand has talked about a multipolar world. Are these two visions about how Mundus work in contradiction and if so could that be part of the reason why at times Clysperis and Tamora see and react differently to international issues?
- I do not believe there is a contradiction between the two. In my opinion Pharaoh Akasha is talking about the values of the nations and to that she is right that there are two competing set of values which often come at odds. Our perspective is oriented towards the center of powers and we see several of them in Mundus: East Moreland, Uí Ceinnselaig, Rokkenjima, Achkaerin, Quintelia, Bakkermaya, Kaitaine and MidAranye.  As you can see outside of MidAranye, all these centers of powers are part of the Occident and therefore despite not being a monolith block often seem from our perspective as acting in unison because they share many of the same values. Some of these centers of power have in their sphere of influence nations which are part of the Orient and so these countries while not perfectly aligned in terms of values with the Occident do follow their line.

-What are in your opinion the greatest threats to Mundus’ peace?
-There are two issues threating the peace of Mundus: the actions of the First Empire of Rokkenjima and terrorism. Referring to the former, Rokkenjima has a bellicose approach to foreign relations which threatens peace. In the last two years alone Rokkenjima has threatened Zimalia, has raised concerns in SICR and New Derusmia that they were forced to declare state of emergency in their countries and is now pushing for extreme sanctions against the Tamoran people. Furthermore, they have shown to be unpredictable, inconsistent and unconstrained by the obligations they themselves have assumed.  Just look at how they approached relations with us sanctioning without talking to us first and then lifting sanctions after they understood the truth only to then sanction us again for displaying an independent foreign policy. Since then they have lessen the sanctions and are now talking about placing sanctions again. Worse still, this unpredictable nation continues to expand its military despite the threat of the USR been gone and is keen on building new foreign military bases aboard despite protests from their own friends like the kingdom of East Moreland.
The latter threat, terrorism, is plaguing Mundus whether it is Nya Aland, East Moreland, Tytor and others. The Tamoran Empire will seek to combat terrorism as it has done in Clysperis and is now doing in Merina. We do this because we are aware that a stable Mundus is in the interests of all.

-Thank you so much for your time.
- Thank you.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

Tamora Imperial Bank(TIB) applies to Clysperi Restitution Fund for damages

TIB commercial aired in Clysperis

Tamora Imperial Bank (TIB) has released a statement announcing that it has applied at Clysperi Restitution Fund for damages worth of 10 million dinars/usd. According to the bank representative the damages are due to the embezzlement done by rebel officials when they took control of areas where the Nafu bank, the local bank that was recently acquired by Tamora Imperial bank, had branches. “The damages were extensive, the 10 million dinars is just the tip of the iceberg but it is very difficult to prove the entire amount because so much of the records have been destroyed.” The bank representative has said it does not know if the application would be approved since there are probably many Clysperi individuals who applied at the fund because of the massive damages the rebels have done in the country. The bank representative said they hope once the Clysperi justice system starts handing out sentences to the terrorists for community work that some of them will be allocated to the work at the bank to pay for the damages they have done to the institution.

Tamora Imperial Bank(TIB) sign 2 bln dinars/usd agreement with the Imperial government

The Tamoran Imperial bank signed an agreement with the Imperial government where the bank will get 2bln dinars in funds to loan to businesses and individuals in need in order to foster prosperity, good ethical behavior and sustainable growth. The agreement comes after the Imperial government has analyzed several avenues on how to help with the reconstruction of Clyperis. It had considered the creation of a MidAranye sharia compliant bank that would finance reconstruction and development projects in MidAranye and beyond. However, the project failed to gain traction outside of the kingdom of Pramoria which eventually entered in isolation leaving Tamora the sole part in the project. Sources close to the Imperial palace have said that the MidAranye Bank failure has determined the imperial government to reach out to Tamora Imperial Bank and instead work with them rather than created a new bank from scratch.

Tamora Imperial Bank(TIB) now gives loans in Clysperis guaranteed with the monthly stipend

Tamora Imperial Bank has announced that is has begun giving out loans to CLysperi citizens guaranteed with the monthly stipend given by the Clyperi government. The stipend introduced by Pharaoh Akasha during the war gives 200 dinars monthly to the head of each Clysperi family and is for many families the largest or even all the income of the household as many parts of the nation experience widespread poverty following the ravages done by the rebels.

The TIB representative in Clysperis has said that the “needs of the community are many and TIB is attempting to help local communities rebuild. Unfortunately, there are many families that have lost everything and have no collateral to bring to us in order to get the loan but they need money now for basic accommodation and other basic necessities since they have lost everything in the war. Through this special loan, Clysperi heads of the family can get 2000 dinars which they guarantee with the stipend form the Clysperi government. They just have to open an account at our bank and get approved, once they do that they get the money and the loan is repaid in monthly installments by the stipend which the Clysperi government transfer to their account. “

Tamora Imperial Bank incorporates a subsidiary in Elysium

Tamora Imperial Bank has announced it has incorporated a subsidiary in Elysium, Heyra. The discrete announcement was made on the bank’s website with no press conference or statement form the bank whatsoever. The news comes as a surprise since the bank’s sole shareholder, the Manist Church, has been very critical of the deal between Heyra and Tamora that lead to the creation of the port city of Elysium under Heyran laws for a period of 100 years.

Analysts have said that TIB would not have chosen to incorporate in Elysium unless it has plans to expand outside of MidAranyre. “Tamoran companies incorporate in Elysium when they need to deal with foreign partners outside of MidAranye and need to shield themselves from potential sanctions. Since TIB is arguably the most conservative of Tamoran banks it is unlikely that is has incorporated just for ease of doing business with other foreign banks. Their recent acquisition in Safraen and Clysperis shows they are undergoing a major expansion strategy so their incorporation in Elysium is mostly likely a sign they are intending to expand in markets that are more risky in terms of sanctions” said one analysts familiar with the Tamoran bank sector.

Tamora Imperial Bank continues to expand abroad

Tamora Imperial Bank expands to the Republic of Phuebra

TIB has already began a new ad campaign informing customers that Liberville Bank will soon change its name to Tamora Imperial Bank

Tamora Imperial Bank (TIB) has acquired the fifth largest bank in Phuebra, Liberville Bank, for 80 million dinars/usd. According to analysts Liberville bank has a market share of 8% in Phuebra, approx. 1.5 million clients and has a good network of branches in Phuebra including rural areas. Furthermore, Liberville Bank enjoys good brand awareness and trust among the Muslim community of Phuebra which numbers approx. 41% of Phuebra’s population.

TIB has stated that “the acquisition of Liberville Bank marks a new chapter in the history of TIB as the first expansion outside the Aranye continent. We are confident Phuebra is a market that will grow exponentially in the following decades and TIB wants to be a part of that growth. “ TIB has stated that its policy for overseas operations remains unchanged and that Liberville Bank will change its name to TIB in the following months and that the bank will be sharia compliant, not charging interest or finance activities that are prohibited by the Koran or the book of Mani.

ooc: Agreed with Yolotan.

Tamora Imperial Bank has opened its first branch in Zimalia

Tamora Imperial Bank has announced it has opened its first branch in Zimalia. It is the first Tamoran bank to open a branch on the continent of Alba Karinya. The announcement was made at the Tamoran embassy in Zimalia where a bank representative and the Tamoran ambassador gave a joint statement.

Unlike other expansions aboard, in Zimalia, Tamora Imperial Bank has opted to grow organically starting from scratch rather than acquire a local bank and integrating it in its operations. When asked about this change of strategy, the TIB representative has given several reasons for this approach: “we didn’t not manage to find a local partner that fitted our needs and our objectives in Zimalia are, at least in the first stage, more focused on the Tamoran expat community in Zimalia that is growing very fast. “ During the press conference the TIB representative has said “ The Tamoran business community in Zimalia has asked us for some time to open a branch here in order to help them do business in Zimalia. We have listened to them and this is the first step on our Zimalian strategy.”

According to TIB representatives, the bank will be initially oriented towards the expat community making sure to employ people that speak Parthian in order to facilitate working with the Tamoran community. Also the bank plans to finance Tamoran businesses large and small that do business in Zimalia and it is rumored to be negotiating for a partnership with Jalal Deer which will seek to help farmers finance the acquisition of irrigation equipment in the areas near the Haghighi Dam which has been completed this year and has greatly change the agricultural potential in its region. TIB has said that it soon plans to find ways to provide banking services to Manist villages in ZImalia but they have not given a date or more details about how they plan to do that.

ooc: Agreed with Dave.

Exclusive interview with the Head of the Tamora Imperial Bank (TIB)
« Reply #171 on: June 04, 2020, 07:44:12 PM »
Local date in Tamora (Islamic calendar): 12th Shawwal, 1441h Thursday

Exclusive interview with the Head of the Tamora Imperial Bank (TIB)

Toor Medhora, the current head of Tamora Imperial Bank (TIB) has visited Clysperis three times in the last few months and has personally supervised the implementation of projects relating to TIB Development Program

Tamora Imperial Bank has been in the spotlight in the last few months, it has expanded aboard in several countries, has signed an agreement with the Imperial government for two billion dinars(usd) for the creation of the Development Division, has created dozens of projects aimed at the reconstruction of Clysperis, has formally asked to be compensated by the Clysperi Restitution Fund and has also drawn the ire of the First Empire of Rokkenjima. We decided to talk about all these and more with the Head (ooc: CEO) of the Tamora Imperial Bank, Mr. Toor Medhora.

-   Thank you for agreeing to the interview. Let me begin by asking you what the Development Program of TIB is and what it hopes to achieve.
-   It's a pleasure. The Development Program of TIB is a division of our bank dedicated to helping the development of the countries that for various reasons, most often than not through no fault of their own, are now less developed. This division was started with a 2 billion contribution by the Imperial government of Tamora, so for now the focus has been exclusively on Clysperis but we are looking to expand.

-   Why the need for such a complicated institution? Wouldn't it be wiser to just give the money to the Clysperi government?
-   Firstly, I don't think it is a complicated institution, at least not for the donors and the beneficiaries of the money.  Secondly, the Tamoran government has given generous help to the Clysperi government already. The development division of our bank has a different goal, it aims to help as many Clysperi as possible by creating jobs, investments in the local economy and identifying the most stringent of needs in terms in terms of infrastructure and financing those. All these had to be done as fast as possible. As a bank we have the experience and knowhow that naturally the government, any government lacks.

-   How has the development division worked out so far?
-   I am pleased to say it has been a great success. We have disbursed approximately 90 percent of the allocated funds in a just a few months. This is no small task.

There were reports of large queues forming in many TIB branches in Clysperis in the first few weeks after TIB launched its Development Program with many people being upset about the long waiting times.

-   There have been reports of queues in TIB branches, people standing in lines for close to an hour in order to get in. Is this related to the development money?
-   It is, we have disbursed more than 100 thousand loans in just a few months. The demand was so high that it overwhelmed our staff and our infrastructure. There is a lot of need in Clysperis for our help. We were also fortunate to have the help of the local Manist Church in Clysperis. There have been many imams who have said during their sermons "Go to TIB, they can help you. They are to be trusted, I personally vouch for them" . That level of support humbled us but also obligated us to do our very best in order to not disappoint. It created huge expectations, I might dare say unreasonable expectations at times.

-   Tell us a bit of the impact the development money had in Clysperis.
-   We have given loans of close to 1.75 billion dinars (USD) to more than 150 thousand souls and have, from our estimates, created through these loans more than 80 thousand jobs, restored power to about a hundred thousand households and repaired tens of thousands of homes.

-   The numbers seem impressive but such achievements also assume a lot of work from the employees.  How have they reacted to the workload and is there anything TIB did to help them?
-   Our employees have been extraordinary. They have worked tirelessly day after day except for Sunday of course, to handle all the requests for loans, to verify on the ground the statements of clients were true and to decide whether to approve the loans or not. We as a bank of course made efforts to ensure adequate compensation for the extra hours they put in, we have also increase the manpower of the bank in Clysperis by over 10 percent. I would like to add that we are one of few employers to do that in such difficult times. I have also had the pleasure to personally talk with some of the rank and file employees of the bank and I was amazed to see that they cared less about the benefits and more about impact their work had on their communities. They saw that the more they worked, the more their communities turned around, not just materially but also spiritually. Hope was taken root in their communities. They didn't work overtime so that the bank could charge people in their communities interest and enrich some shareholder in a faraway city. No, they saw their community grow and understood that behind the bank are regular people like them because we are not owned by some mogul but by the (Manist) Church.

-   Now that the bank has exhausted most of the allocated funds, what will the next step be?
-   We are hopeful that we will be able to attract more funds from other sources. There is much more work to be done and we hope to convince potential investors or donors of the great work we have done in Clysperis.

-   It seems the Empire of Rokkenjima has started a crusade against TIB and Tamoran businesses in general. What are your thoughts on that?
-   I think it is regrettable that Rokkenjima and others like them are fueling anti Tamoran and anti Manist sentiments. Ever since they started their anti Tamoran campaign the number of hate mail I get has sharply increased. This is what they sow and they do it because of political reasons and personal gains. They see the good work we are doing and the trust people have in us and they hope to smear us.

-   You mentioned you received hate mail? Are you scared for your life?
-   No, I am peace for I know that I have served well my family, my Church and Tamora. The only thing I am scared of is to displease God and His Prophet. I also draw strength from the emails of support I receive. For every Rokkenjiman and the likes that wish me death there are ten Clysperi who thank me and say they pray for me for the great work TIB has done in Clysperis. This is why our detractors will not be successful, they paint as monsters and the average people know they are lying.

-   What is the current economic situation in Clysperis and what prospects there are for the country?
-   On one hand the economy and the infrastructure has been greatly affected. Our estimates and I emphasize that these are our estimates and not official numbers, the GDP has seen a drop of 15 percent. On the positive side, not all the country was affected by the civil war. The Northern half of the country is intact and ready act as a locomotive for the recovery. Pharaoh Akasha has already taken steps to address the economic needs of the nation, the Tamoran government has also pledged billions of dinars(usd) for the reconstruction, Tamoran large businesses have resumed investments, we here at TIB have also played a small part. So I think Clysperis has a opportunity not just to recover fast but also to do it in a way that is sustainable and avoids tragic incidents like the civil war in the future.

-   Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to us.
-   Thank you, it’s been an absolute pleasure.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

The port city of Alaverdi extends metro

The port city of Alaverdi extends metro

The newly built metro station that is close to the stadium built for the Mundus Games

The local authorities in the port city of Alaverdi have announced the completion of a new metro station in the capital of the federated kingdom of Attica. Authorities there have been making preparations for some time for the bid to host the Mundus games. Furthermore, authorities have announced that they have plans to build a high speed rain between Alaverdi and Elysium which is also aimed at improving the infrastructure for the Games. Sources say that authorities have entered talks with foreign partners, rumored to be New Derusmia, to acquire partial funding as well as high speed trains. Should the project be completed it would be the first high speed rail in Tamora, a further sign of the federated kingdom of Attica's efforts to improve connections with countries outside of MidAranye. While the international climate has remained hostile to Tamora, Attican authorities have continued with their plans.

Head of Foreign Affairs Alya Safavid visited the Clysperi refugee camps in Abuqiya, Safraen and Vanora

Alya Safavid visited the refugee camps in Abuqiya , Safraen and Vanora and has talked officials in charge of the camps as well as representatives of the Clysperi refugees from those camps. The visit which lasted three days, one in each country, is part of the agenda of the Foreign Affairs Office which has made it a priority to see that the Clysperi refugees are both taken care of but also see that they are given the opportunity to return to their homelands.

Upon her return from her visit, Lady Safavid gave a statement about the trip:

"I would first like to thank again the nations of Abuqiya , Safraen and Vanora for welcoming the Clysperi refugees and taking good care of them. It is a great example of Midaranye solidarity which not be forgotten.

Secondly, I would like to thank the volunteers at those camps who dedicate their time and skill to help our Clysperi friends, they are doing the work of the Prophet.

Thirdly, I had the pleasure to speak with the people in charge of running the camps and I assured them that Tamora will continue to support them financially, with aid and with volunteers. Nothing has changed in Tamora's commitment to provide for the Clysperi people.

Lastly, but certainly not least, I had the pleasure of talking with representatives of the Clysperi refugees. They've been very kind in thanking the Tamoran Empire for the help. They have also asked about opportunities for them to return home. I have informed them of the good work of the Tamoran Imperial Bank, the 4C charitiy and other such programs and also assured them that they can also choose to come to Tamora should they consider it inopportune to return hope for whatever reasons. Tamora is a large country of many peoples and the Clysperi people have always been our friends and they are welcome to come. The representatives of the refugees have also brought to my attention that as their stay in the camps grows longer the need for the children to continue their education becomes more stringent. While I know our Church among others have sent imams to help teach children they feel that is not enough as the students will need to have their studies acknowledged by schools and institutions. I have pledged to help them in this regard and I thank them for bringing it to my attention. I will always be open to hearing whatever needs or issues they might have."

The government is expected to soon provide some further measures that will help with the repatriation of Clysperi refugees.

Until next time: God bless the Emperor! God bless Tamora!

As half of Mundus takes a stand over Merina, Tamora counts its dead

As half of Mundus takes a stand over Merina, Tamora counts its dead

While the deadline for the ceasefire war close, the fighting still continued

The Department of War (DoW) has released a statement informing the public that two more Tamoran soldiers have been killed in the recent government offensive in Merina with a further four being injured. This adds to the previously announced casualties making for a total of 10 soldiers killed and 20 injured in the Merinan war so far. The Department of War has said that the fighting in Merina continues as the terrorist elements are becoming more desperate in their efforts to preserve the ground they have occupied. The DoW has said the Tamoran forces will observe the ceasefire since that is the decision of the Merinan government:

"The Merinan government has said it will suspend operations after 48 hours* and we will be doing the same of course. We remain on high alert in case the terrorist elements will attempt to use Council of Albion talks as an opportunity to attack our forces and our allies. "

*OOC: This is basically making it public that Tamora respects the Merinan government announced timetable for ceasefire. It does not mean that Tamora is extending its assumed deadline for the ceasefire or that Tamora is fighting during the CoA talks.

Machal Mining to go public on the Elysium stock exchange

Machal Mining to go public on the Elysium stock exchange

TINS news anchor

Machal Mining has stated that it is searching for investment banks to list their company on the Elysium Stock Exchange. The company plans to list its international subsidiary, which is registered in Elysium, and has the mining licenses for several lucrative operations in Zimalia. The announcement came as no surprise since the company has already made its plans public and has even attempt to seek investors in Royal Seleucid at the so called “Blue Launch Party” event. The company is accepting offers from investment bank from aboard and it is expected to make a decision by the end of the years. According financial experts, the Machal Mining international will likely be valued at around 1 billion dinars (USD).

Tamora Imperial Bank (TIB) to continue expansion aboard

Sources close to TIB says that the leadership is determined to continue its expansion aboard despite the sanctions imposed by the First Empire of Rokkenjima and its satellite states. While it is yet unclear in what country they will be expanding next, analysts expect Altromine, Pramoria, Royal Seleucid and even Waddan to be among the potential targets. TIB representatives have refused to issue any comments on the matter. The bank’s expansion aboard is part of Djerb’s strategy to reduce its reliance on foreign banking institutions for international transfers since sanctions levied against the Empire have created disruptions for Tamoran businesses who engage in international commerce.

State visit to Altromine is planned according to Foreign Office

The Foreign Office has confirmed that a state visit to Altromine is planned to take place soon. Altromine’s emergence from isolation has created new opportunities for Tamora and has the potential to reshape the geopolitics of the region. Foreign policy analysts state that with another MidAranye state bordering Rodina the potential for tensions with the Soviets states has exponentially increased. Both Pharaoh Akasha and Djerb have been very critical of the Soviet states of Rodina and especially Kaitaine with both Clysperis and Tamora recognizing the Theocracy of Kaitaine as the rightful rulers of Kaitaine. With the emergence from isolation of Altromine and its past Soviet trauma the balance of power seems to be changing in the favor of MidAranye states. While it is far too early to say what impact has the emergence of Altromine on the MidAranye –Rodina relations and even the civil war in Kaitaine it is likely that it will not be modest. According to the Foreign Office, on the agenda of talks between the two countries will be economic development, religious minority rights, the security of MidAranye, energy (OPEN) and others.

How the VK social network became the number one social network in Tamora
« Reply #175 on: January 02, 2021, 03:13:52 PM »
Local date in Tamora (Islamic calendar):11th Jumada Al-Awwal, 1442h Saturday

How the VK social network became the number one social network in Tamora

Largely unknown outside Tamora, the VK logo is now the face of Tamora’s social media

VK has founded in 2019, taking advantage of the generous King Heydar Enterprise Link Platform (KHELP), by two business partners, Tamoran  citizen Bazoor Vevalwala and Seleucid citizen Bavand Khandhy. The two business partners had previous experience in the IT industry and had launched several other projects before which sadly were not successful. That all changed when they launched the VK social network. While the network had clear inspiration from the giants founded in other non MidAranye countries, the VK had the advantage of being adapted to the needs of the Tamoran market. Unlike other platforms, VK took an active role in combating fake news, misinformation and hate speech which is so prevalent on many foreign platforms. This approached earned the trust of the Church of Mani which officially endorsed the network in early 2020 after entering into a partnership where the Church has a say on the advisory board on matters relating to hate speech, anti-religious propaganda and immodest behavior. The endorsement proved to be a godsend for the VK social network. Once the Supreme Ayatollah personally made an account on the platform, in just a few days tens of thousands of accounts were made by institutions affiliated to the church: schools, universities, clinics, hospitals, libraries and various businesses. The next few months saw the Imperial government joining the platform further boosting the social network respectability and acceptance. The support the platform gained from the Church of Mani did not stop there and by June of 2020 the Church of Mani issued a press release urging “all those who love the Prophet to no longer use social platforms that are alien to the values of the Book of Mani” reminding the faithful that respecting the laws of the Prophet “also applies to the online environment”.  The message did not go unheard in the country and in the following days government institutions, schools, temples, hospitals, prominent nobles and citizens closed their accounts or no longer updated them on foreign social networks. By the end of 2020, VK market share in Tamora surpassed 50% and the network had more than 100 million active accounts taking the top spot in the Empire. The social network’s market share varies widely by federated kingdom with more than two thirds market share in the Imperial Enclave and less than 20% in the federated kingdom of Attica.

VK has grown a lot from its modest beginnings in the King Heydar Enterprise Link Platform (KHELP) to a business that now employs over 400 souls in three Tamoran cities.

In an earlier interview with Mr. Bazoor Vevalwala, cofounder of the VK social network, has called the growth of the social network “amazing” and “beyond the wildest expectation”. When asked what the main factors that lead to the growth of the network, Mr. Vevalwala has named three key factors. One was the partnership with the Church of Mani which was vital to gaining the trust of consumers in the empire. The second was the decision to make the platform a “temple” where “decency, good behavior and trustworthy information were the standard rather the exception” allowing all users regardless of age to have a good experience. The third factor was the ever increasing hostility of foreign powers towards Tamora which fostered a climate of hate towards Tamorans and their values on foreign social media platforms. “With each fake information provided by foreign leaders such as those in Rokkenjima and Tytor the more hate we saw on foreign platforms towards. It didn’t take long for users in Tamora to figure out that staying on a platform that is based in a country that routinely attacks and insults your country, religion and people makes you feel that you are not welcomed and you have to look for alternatives. So in fact the foreign hostility towards Tamora helped fuel our growth” added  Mr. Bazoor Vevalwala.

In the same interview, Mr. Bavand Khandhy, the other cofounder for the company, talked about the company’s plans to expand aboard saying that “the platform is well adapted to meet the needs of the citizens of other MidAranye countries like my home country of Royal Seleucid. The fact that so many people from the countries of MidAranye speak Parthian is a great advantage but we are already working on launching VK in Clysperi and Abydon with Safrish and Vanorian soon to follow. “ However, Mr. Khandhy has stressed that VK is not meant to be used exclusively by users from MidAranye and believe that VK will find a market in other countries as well. “I think some governments and citizens from outside of MidAranye are also worried by the ever increasing number of fake news and propaganda that exist on other social media platforms and would be willing to promote alternatives such as our VK to help combat the spread of misinformation and hate. We are willing to work with all.”

The Clysperi quarter of Djerb has taken shape

The Clysperi quarter viewed from above

After the decision taken two years ago by Djerb to allow Clyperi citizens to work in Tamora, the number of Clysperi taking advantage of the new agreement has seen a steady increase in the number of Clyperi working in Tamora, especially in Djerb. After the rebellion against the Pharaoh Akasha bagan, the number of Clyperi immigrants coming to Tamora greatly increased. Djerb responded by lessening the work restrictions even further while Tamoran Airlines continued to operate regular flights between Tamora and Clyperis even during the fighting. All these led to a major increase in the number of Clysperi citizens residing in Djerb, more than half of them now living in what has been nicknamed the Clyperi quarter, a relative new neighborhood at the outskirts of the imperial capital.

The Clysperi quarter hosts more than a quarter of a million Clysperi and their presence has left a mark on the neighborhood. Perhaps one of the most visible aspects of their presence is the dozen Kemetic( the native religion of Clyperis and Altromine) temples that have been built in the neighborhood with a further dozen under construction or in planning phase. Restaurants offering the traditional cuisine of Clyperis are also present with many Tamorans residents appreciating the cuisine. While the fighting in Clyperis has stopped and the influx of Clyperi coming to Tamora has decreased the Clyperi community in Djerb continues to grow albeit at a much reduce pace.

During the rebellion and after, the residents of the Clyperi quarter were not shy in showing their support and loyalty to Pharaoh Akasha and a few months ago, with the help of local authorities, erected a statue of Pharaoh Akasha in the public square as a way for the community to show her gratitude for leadership, preservation of Clyperi sovereignty and her friendship with the Tamoran people.

His Majesty King Heydar visits The Majestic Empire of Lijiang

King Heydar is the first head of state to visit the Empire of Lijiang which has just only recently emerged from more than 100 years of isolation. The fact that the Empire of Lijiang has chosen to first meet King Heydar before any other head of state is an indication the Seleucid economic agenda of diversification is proving a success that is now also capitalized on the diplomatic front. Furthermore, some foreign policy analysts have interpreted the visit as a sign of the growing influence of MidAranye on the world stage and an indication that the Empire of Lijiang will not become part of the Occidental agenda.
According to sources it is expected that economic aspects will dominate the agenda of the talks with oil and gas and agriculture sector being major topics while religious and cultural aspects playing a minor role.

VK social media formally applies for the Freestone Mark

The VK social media platform which has seen a rapid adoption in Tamora and is now expanding aboard in Altromine and Pramoria has issued a press statement saying it has formally applied for the bronze level certification at the Freestone Abolitionist Society.  The bronze level certification, if granted, will certify that the company does not use slave labor in its labor force. While VK did not explicitly state the reason for applying for the certification, economic analysts have speculated that the certification is needed to ensure the company can better expand aboard. One analyst from the Tamoran Imperial Bank said:

“With the recent agreement reached with the government of Pramoria and the recent expansion in Altromine it is clear that the company is looking to expand aboard. The leadership of the company hopes that by having the certification it can make it harder for foreign governments that are hostile to the Tamoran people and its values to justify a potential future censorship of VK. There is a significant MidAranye diaspora aboard and VK is no doubt hoping that it will become the number one communication platform between the MidAranye diaspora and the relatives back home. Should foreign governments actively pursue a policy of banning the network, VK’s plans for the diaspora could be seriously affected.”

A Nation Betrayed – is released in cinemas empire-wide

TINS news anchor

“A Nation Betrayed”, Samira Hanifnejad’s latest movie, which documents the Clysperi civil war and its aftermath is now available in cinemas all across the empire. The film has been praised by critics the empire with many saying that the documentary has Samira Hanifnejad’s touch and raises to the standard of her previous work.

More than five million Tamorans have already seen the movie and if the current projections are right the movie will become of the best-selling domestic films.  Imam Aslan Mizanian, spokesman for one of the largest cinema chain in the empire, has said that Samira Hanifnejad is “A godsend for the domestic film industry” adding that “ it is hard to overestimate the positive impact she has had on the industry”.

By the personal request of Samira Hanifnejad, the first screening of the movie was in the Clysperi quarter in Djerb and she personally attended the event. Thousands, many of them Clysperi, gathered to see her in person.

Samira Hanifnejad announces her retirement from filmmaking

Samira Hanifnejad and her husband during the TINS interview

Soon after the release of the movie, in a lengthy interview for TINS, Samira Hanifnejad announced that A Nation Betrayed was her last movie as film maker. Citing personal reasons including “a crushing pressure to not disappoint the people whose story I shared with the world” she announced that her career as filmmaker has come to an end at the age of 40 and after directing 12 films, two of which have won the Ozzie award.
Furthermore, she also talked at length about the emotional toll of her latest film after talking with victims and first hand witness of the atrocities committed by the Clysperi rebels which “have both shaken her faith in humanity but also strengthen her faith in the Prophet”.

Samira Hanifnejad has said that she has no plans for the future saying that she “knows her life is in God’s hands and she doesn’t know His plans” and that she will honor the public events she has scheduled and that afterwards, she plans to withdraw from public life for a “few months” in a Manist monastery to “mentally recover and focus on her faith”. She has not specified in which Manist monastery she plans to spend the time.

News her retirement has made headlines across the six federated kingdoms of the Tamora with many in the arts business calling her retirement a “great loss” for Tamora and even MidAranye. News of her retirement was the number one trending news on the VK social network with thousands upon thousands of messages of support coming not just from Tamorans but even users from outside MidAranye.

Tamoran military industry very interested in the planned Clypseri modernization program

SU-57, developed by the Kadyrov Industries, is the most advanced fighter serving in the Imperial AirForce

Pharaoh Akasha Di-‘nh-mi-Re announcement that she plans to modernize the Royal Clysperi Armed Forces has raised interests in Djerb’s military industry especially Kadyrov Industries, the empire’s largest military manufacturer.  Kadyrov Industries is the key player in the empire’s military acquisitions but it has had limited exports aboard with recent sales only to Merina and the Heyran Republic. The announced Clysperi plan, though short in detail, could prove one of the largest military procurement programs MidAranye has seen in recent years and should Kadyrov Industries be one of the partners its sales to Clysperis will likely overshadow the previous exports to Merina and Heryra.

Djerb has refused to comment on the recent diplomatic incident between Clysperis and Royal Seleucid

The Imperial Palace has remained silent over the recent dispute between Pharaoh Akasha Di-‘nh-mi-Re and King Heydar which saw the former accusing the later of using Pharaoh Akasha Di-‘nh-mi-Re as a “prop” in “petty domestic political games”. The recent diplomatic incident comes just as another confirmation that relations between Khemnen and Ipsus are far from friendly and are in no way improving. No other MidAranye capital, including Altromine’s, has issued any statement on the matter.

The statements of Pharaoh Akasha Di-‘nh-mi-Re have been widely discussed and shared on the VK social media where many Tamorans, including some clergymen, have expressed their support for Pharaoh Akasha Di-‘nh-mi-Re which comes as little surprise considering her popularity among the Tamoran people.

The expansion which will cost approx. 300 mil dinars (usd) will be paid the Imperial treasury. This is the second expansion the system sees in recent years and is due to the emergence of isolations of several new nations in Midaranye.

Following the recent emergence from isolation of Altromine, Tamoran Airlines have announced that they will launch 6 new routes from each of the empire's component kingdoms to Altromine. The company has said there is increasing demand for flights to Altromine as more Tamorans seek to visit the country for tourism.
VK has recommend Altromine as the top tourist destination for this month saying that the vast cultural heritage is a must to explore for any Tamoran who is passionate about the history and culture of MidAranye.

Ari Sancar’s comic books come to Altromine

Ari Sancar’s comic books which have made headlines in the empire in previous years because of their perceived political nature are set to be sold in Altromine after the publisher in Tamora has reached a deal with a bookstore chain in Altromine. Ari Sancar has said that she hopes the comics will be appreciated by the children and parents of Altromine.

Opinion piece: Should Tamora reconsider its trade policy?

Opinion piece: Should the new free trade agreement between Royal Seleucid and Altromine make Tamora reconsider its trade policy

Djerb is not just the political capital of the Tamoran Empire it is also the cultural capital. Is it time for Djerb to become more open on trade?

After Royal Seleucid and Altromine have announced their trade agreement, the question arises: should Tamora change its long-standing policy against free trade agreements? Tamora has for more than a century chosen to use high tariffs as a means to protect its identity and jobs from the unfair competition of foreign companies. A policy which is both wise and ethical as it seeks to protect workers and their jobs. But as MidAranye is growing ever closer can Tamora still keep this policy in place if it wants to remain at the heart of MidAranye?

Tamora has made some exceptions in the past to its tariff policy, the most notable of this being towards its longtime ally and friend Clysperis with whom we share a currency. Not only have tariffs been lowered and in some cases eliminated but so have restrictions on the labor market. Tamora has chosen to keep the gates of its empire open to Clysperi even during the civil war so is it not perhaps the time to open those gates to some if not all the people of MidAranye? And if the answer is no, then are we ready to accept that MidAranye might move closer to cooperation and integration leaving Tamora behind?  Tamora has never been afraid to go on its road even alone as long as choosing a different path would violate the ethical code revealed to us by God through its Prophet and I fully support this approach, I wouldn’t call myself a follower of the Prophet if I didn’t. However, we must be careful to not go alone on a path just for the sake of being alone or worse because we have become so accustomed to it that we no longer remember that facing obstacles of life together with friends is not just easier, it also what the Prophet would approve.

I make a public appeal to the Tamoran government to consider its trade policy towards our friends in MidAranye and see if we can find room for change. I also believe that moving  ever closer in cooperation with the kingdom of Clysperis should be the first move. We already share a common currency and the Manist faith is a peer faith in Clysperis that is a solid foundation to build on.
