BiographyPersonality wise, Minstra is regarded as friendly, generous, humble and very personal. He is also known for his serious and motivating attitudes as well as his determined work ethic when speaking publicly and working as Senator, but also for his comedic and laid back attitude during his free time. As for his position, he is widely regarded to be one of the greatest Executive Senators in the Commonwealth’s short history, Ronan Minstra is beloved by the vast majority of Soleimani’s population. He is quite the opposite of controversial, and his neutral stances and effective compromises make him popular among people from all walks of life. Ronan Minstra is an incredibly talented orator, and often regarded to be a visionary. He has made many accomplishments in his short time as Executive, but his first term has also had some bumps due to the incompetence of some of his colleagues. He had opposed involvement in Merina. Ronan Minstra has made major accomplishments for the economy, as well as supporting massive improvement of infrastructure. Believed to be the greatest diplomat to hold the title of Executive Senator, his diplomatic abilities have at times been stifled by ineffective diplomatic actions made by his colleagues, yet still, Ronan Minstra has made unprecedented progress on the international stage, bringing the Commonwealth into a friendly position with many other nations, whilst still maintaining a strong stance against other nations. Minstra has also advocated for the protection of the environment and development of technological advancements, especially for space exploration. His administration saw a complete overhaul of CARDA, which under Colt Turner’s council, had become a repetitive Agency with no real mission. It is quite fair to say that Ronan Minstra will go down in history as one of the greatest executives in the history of Soleimani.

Diplomacy and Events / Invitation to Discuss MSOP(UC and Soleimani)
« on: June 08, 2020, 07:47:39 PM »

Dear Professor Jack Daley,

I heard recently of a program being run by Ui Ceinnselaig that invited nations to establish numerous radio telescope arrays around the world for a better understanding of what lies beyond. I have talked with numerous other officials and we have concluded that we would like to become a part of this project. We feel like it is necessary that we cooperate to gain a better understanding of the cosmos, and learn more about where we came from. For this reason I am inviting you and any other officials of UC to discuss the plans for the array and terms of the agreement. We will have a private meeting in Tehrestan. The High Council already has some suggestions for where to build the array as well as the extent of the array. CARDA doesn't have many budgetary constraints, so the array can be quite large and advanced. Feel free to discuss this with UC government officials, we will allow any other officials to join the meeting. The exact date and time of the meeting will be determined later, but I would like to get this project going as soon as possible. You may suggest some dates for the meeting in your response.

Best Wishes,
Ronan Minstra

For Your Eyes Only

To Mr. Bemba,
I am certain that at this point, you are well aware of our involvement in supporting your armed forces. At the current moment, we are sending a fleet of our most powerful ships to aid you troops in securing the coastline. However, we certainly hope the Council of Albion will be able to find a peaceful solution, but in the likely case they don’t, we must take military action. The reason I have sent you this letter is to ask you for permission to land five of my P-4 Maritime Patrol Aircraft in the inland NLA territories around Katamba. I’ll need a specified airfield and I’ll need it to be prepared with the necessary refueling equipment. The aircraft will be essential in ensuring the success of the so-called “Liberation Operation”. None of this is public knowledge. I will give more details on the plans on how to utilize the aircraft later, but I’ll simply need to have the arrangements made if it’s possible.

Sincerely,
     Jackson Kazakhi,
Secretary of Defense of the Commonwealth of Soleimani

The Information Shared in This Letter is to Remain Strictly Confidential

To Monsieur Charles Jacques Henri Vassilly of Fleur,

As you have most likely heard, Soleimani is planning to send military support to Merina to back the Liberation Army. We’re planning to send a fleet of ships to Merina to deploy troops, vehicles and helicopters to attempt to secure part of the coastline for the Liberation Army. We’ll need to station our ships somewhere close to Merina so that we can quickly and easily send our troops there. I was wondering if you would be willing to allow us to temporarily station our ships in Fleur so we can refuel and take care of our troops. The fleet will consist of one Nautilus class Amphibious transport ship, one Cuttlefish class, three Bobtail class destroyers, five squid class destroyers and three octopus class submarines. If you could make the accommodations for our ships that would be great. We have not yet planned the exact time and date at which we start the operation, but it will be soon.

Sincerely,
The Secretary of Defense of Soleimani

Official Press Office of the Government of the Commonwealth of Soleimani
phew, that’s a mouthful

Early morning on May 12, 2020, Executive Senator of Soleimani Ronan Minstra passes two grand orders directed towards assisting southern-based companies after said companies have been enduring economic turmoil recently. The grand orders have lowered overnight rates for southern banks in Soleimani, which is intended to cause southern banks to invest more in companies, especially southern companies which they are familiar with, which will hopefully improve the state of the southern economy in general. The orders also are giving tax rebates to employees of certain southern companies which have been impacted by the recent economic instability. This will hopefully lessen the chances that employees ask for raises, reducing the amount of financial pressure out on southern companies, and will also hopefully cause the employees to invest their rebate money into the market, specifically the companies they work for.

Diplomacy and Events / A Bridge Between Two Nations of Allah
« on: May 09, 2020, 09:49:15 PM »
To the Great Shiekh of the Minarets, Faruq Karimi

I feel it is a wonderful time for diplomatic talks between our two nations(or tribes) to commence. As we are two nations with large Shia populations in a world dominated by other religions, I feel if we build a stronger bond, we can support and defend our Muslim beliefs. Not only that, but we can work together to improve infrastructure, and improve peace and tranquility among the lands of both Soleimani and Waddan. I know you are Chieftan of the Taym-Allat tribe within your nation, and beginning diplomatic talks with you and your tribe would be beneficial to both the people of Soleimani and the people of the Taym-Allat tribe, as well as the Muslim world in general. I also believe that your influence in Soleimani will help reconstitute Muslim beliefs in the southern regions. For this reason, I propose we have a summit shortly after my summit with Ubriekkland. It will be located in a different location in Kermanshu, and there, we can begin talking about how to build a military and religious alliance. You have multiple options for transport, such as by boat or by plane. You may land at the Kermanshu International Airport, from there we can securely transport you and any accompanying persons to the Kermanshu city hall and courtyard.

Sincerely,
The Executive Senator of the Commonwealth of Soleimani

Building the Foundation for Diplomatic Relations with Ubriekkland

To our northern neighbors, I feel now that we have broke the ice by assisting eachother and monitoring the rebellious activity near our border, it is time to start formal relations. This is an invitation written by me, the Executive Senator of the Commonwealth of Soleimani, to Ubriekkland’s general government, for a summit between me and your High Lord, Perceval Martialis Jundt. I feel this way, we would be able to further discuss how to improve our military relations, and hopefully set the foundation for a diplomatic relationship in the future. We would be able to discuss certain topics, such as the construction of your Navy, and how we would be able to assist.

The summit, if you agree to come, will take place at the High Council Building in Tehrestan. During the summit, I’ll make sure your High Lord will become familiar with all eight members of the High Council, as well as our Chief Justice. Your High Lord and any accompanying personnel can land by helicopter at the Capital Heliport, where we’ll have Executive Transport waiting for you.

Sincerely,
The Executive Senator

The Soleimani Chronicle

OOC: Hello! Welcome to the Commonwealth Chronicle. This time, I’ve decided to try something a bit different. Since the Informer is the basic news source, I decided it would be interesting to create a biased news source. The Chronicle, if that’s the name that I keep, will be a politically conservative right-wing news source. Please don’t get offended by things I post here, this is merely to create some variety and experiment, and also to add some realism. I may do a liberal news outlet as well. I’ll try not to dip to deep into stereotypes, as I’m taking this seriously and will always try to be neutral and be open to both sides of the argument. However, I may end up in some stereotypes, but that’s just inevitable with things like this. For the mean time I’ll focus on the Commonwealth Informer, but hopefully I’ll be able to start posting here soon. Hope you enjoy!

Plans to Construct New Theme Park Revealed

New plans were revealed recently to build a massive new theme park in the Soleimani-Armin metropolitan area. The new theme park, dubbed “Wisney Dorld” will take up a total of 150 acres of land, and will feature a multitude of amenities. The park will lean heavily on middle-eastern theming to appease the visitors, as the region is rich in middle-eastern culture. The park will feature multiple resorts surrounding the actual theme park. The resorts will have pools, a golf course and many more exciting things.

At the center of the park will be a castle which will be the centerpiece of firework shows which will happen nightly at the park. The castle is supposed to be the home of the famous Soleimani fairytale princess, Cinderbethany. When asked about other possible expansions on top of what has already been shown, the man behind all this, Dalt Wisney, refused to comment. The park will be able to supplement the bordering nations of the Republic of Armin and the Commonwealth of Soleimani, as well as multiple nations surrounding the area. We also asked Dalt Wisney if he had any plans to construct another park on Albion or Aranye, but he once again denied comment.

The park itself will feature multiple rides and shows based off the many movies that have been produced by the Dalt Wisney company, including Ninding Femo, Motorcycles, Soy Tory, The Mittle Lermaid, Pary Moppins and many many more! The park is expected to finish base construction by 2022, and will open in 2023.

Historical Wars / Grand Revolution of The Commonwealth(Pt. 2)
« on: April 11, 2020, 03:55:04 PM »

Battles:
The second major battle in the Soleimani revolution was far larger and far more important. The Governor of Western Soleimani, who was now on the run and heading towards the east where he was hoping he would find shelter and care, was chased by the western army. The eastern army had headed towards the west to intercept the Governor’s motorcade after getting notice from the west that he was on the run. The Governor was unaware that the east was in on this, and he fell right into their trap. When he finally reached tower point, which was home to the supreme monarch himself, and was located right on the border of the eastern and western states of the monarchy, he told the monarch about the army and that the revolution was growing. The monarch set up heavy defenses and gathered all his men to protect the castle. This time, there was much more firepower on the side of the rebels, as they had the collective armies of both the east and the west, as well as military support from the Republic of Armin. However, the monarch had gathered a much larger army than what the governor had, and this time, they weren’t hungover. If the attackers won this battle, the scale would tip significantly in their favor, as the main capital would have been destroyed, significantly weakening the monarch. If they lost, they would be forced to retreat, and the king would most likely shut off the borders of the two states, and cut off the armies from each other, weakening both armies significantly. The east rushed towards the castle as the west did on the other side. An army of thousands was already surrounding the perimeter, and heavy artillery was set up in high points, but the monarch had not expected an army from the east, and so the east charges right towards the capital building. The monarchs army quickly shifted to defend the eastern side of the capital, but the east had already significantly damaged it. Modern artillery, developed by the Republic, was destroying the monarch’s forces, but they too had massive weapons and were slowly digging into the western army. The east had been dominating the weak and unprepared army on the other side, and were damaging the capitol building. The monarch and his men were forced to head towards the western side of the capitol building, where less damage was being done. The east had crept around the back and started attacking the army which was fighting the west. Together, they are through the army, and artillery fired above their heads, and a republic of armin airship was slowly falling from the sky, as it was burning. The airship landed partially atop the capitol, dealing major damage. The King retreated eastward towards the eastern governor’s castle, where they would set up base and prepare themselves for another inevitable fight. The east and west armies may have won the battle, but they took massive losses just as the government did. They would not be as strong when they head to the east, but they will hopefully be strong enough.

Casualties:
Western army: 2418 men
Eastern army: 1287 men
Monarch army: 6957 men

Historical Wars / Grand Revolution of The Commonwealth
« on: April 10, 2020, 06:49:52 PM »

Summary:
At the establishment of this modern country and government, there was a revolution. This revolution was started after repeated instances of corruption and abuse of power in the government at the time. The vast majority of the population joined together to revolt against the government, and the western and eastern parts of the commonwealth United and fought together to overthrow the unjust system. The relationship between west and East was strongest at this time, but would begin to erode over time.

Battles:
-The Battle of the Sharp Hill:
During the start of the war, the western part of the Commonwealth marched towards the western capital city. The Capital City of the West was surrounded by large hills and mountains. The East has supplied the west with heavy artillery, and at 4:30am in January 6th, the morning after the Soleimani holiday of Crotunicia, where party goers drink heavily, they attacked the hungover defenses of the city. The defenses quickly realized they were being sieged, and formed a line on one of the highest hills surrounding the city. The weak and hungover defenses were quickly mowed through by the western forces, who strategically did not drink the night before so that they could be ready for battle. Major artillery knocked defensive forces off the hill. Once the attackers got control of the top of the hill, they set up major artillery atop the hill and fired upon the Western Castle of Grandeur, which housed the Western Governor of the Soleimani Monarchy, one of the many powerful and corrupt aristocrats at the time. The castle took major fire. The castle was evacuated at 7:00am, but many men inside the castle had already died. The Governor was escorted out of the castle, and was transported away. With the castle of Grandeur completely razed, the governor and his remaining men were now refugees who were on the run from the vicious forces of the west.
Casualties:
Western Attackers: 65
Government Defenses: 2,078

Diplomacy and Events / The Armin-Soleimani Alliance
« on: April 10, 2020, 01:19:06 AM »
The Republic Of Armin and the Commonwealth of Soleimani have been strong allies since the initial establishments of the respective nations. Recently, a summit was held at an undisclosed location on the Armin-Soleimani border, and the leaders of the two nations have agreed to become fraternally bonded. In other words, the two nations will attempt to pass legislation in the best interest of both nations, and, unless there is an exception, the nations will always aid each other in times of crisis, and will share sports teams. This bond will require a significant majority of the senate from both nations to approve its repeal, in order to be so repealed. If any country, whether local or external, is to assault one of the two countries, they should expect a response from both of them.

The people of the west are charming and social. They like attention a lot, like, a lot. They enjoy the western culture which consists of many different dancing types. They tend to be more ideologically liberal and are farther left than the East. The west considers the eastern people to be bullies, but this is just a playful rivalry, at least I think so...

The people of the east are loud mouths and like to share their opinion, and they don’t care if you don’t like it. They are active and enjoy the east’s culture of music. They generally are centre-left as far as politics go, and support a healthy balance of a flourishing economy, and equality and civil rights. They find the people of the west to be weaklings, however this is simply just a playful rivalry.
