Biography | Born in San Espinosa to a coach driver and a school teacher, Eusko attended the little-known Espinosa College. After dropping out to work as a driver on his father's coach for several years, he founded his own company, the San Espinosa Oil Co., in order to exploit the newly-uncovered oil deposits in the outskirts of the city. After gaining immense wealth with his monopoly on the San Espinosan oil industry and after personally funding hundreds of public works and infrastructure projects, Eusko decided to run for President. His party, the Capitalists, won in a landslide victory in 1996, gaining the supermajority against the Republicans in Congress and ushering Eusko to the presidency. In an unprecedented move, the Capitalists integrated the Republican Party, gaining all 100 seats in Congress. Ever since, Eusko has remained the undisputed ruler of San Espinosa, running unopposed in the elections since. Despite this seemingly authoritarian move, Eusko's popularity has hovered around 70% his entire administration, and many attribute this to the gargantuan public works projects being erected including new subway networks and high-rise business districts in the then still-colonial-era city of San Espinosa. He is the youngest-ever President in Espinosan history, elected when he was 30, the limit set in the Espinosan Constitution of Government. President Abendaren has since claimed that he is a direct descendant of Rodrigo Espinosa himself, but these claims are dubious and have yet to be proven. |
