Prime Minister Ventham awaited the arrival of Jason Cole at the airport. Normally he would have sent the Foreign Minister or some other member of the cabinet to meet someone of Cole's rank, however given the importance of Rokkenjima to Euirasia and the current strains on the friendship he thought it best to show personal deference to the liaison.

"Mr Cole, what a pleasure to meet you in person." he said reaching his hand out for a shake "I wish our meeting could be under better circumstances."
