A Formal Invitation to the Republic of LakhzoviaFollowing consultation with the First Empire of Rokkenjima, the Council of the Cross-Straits Treaty Organization hereby requests the attendance of a representative of the Republic of Lakhzovia at a series of discussions between the CSTO and Lakhzovia, to be held at Palace Ansemi, Pyrettania, Rokkenjima, on the May 12th, 2020. The intention of these talks is a formal evaluation of the compatibility of Lakhzovia with the Cross-Straits Treaty. As has been reported, the Cross-Straits Union has recently decided to turn down Lakhzovian membership in that body; however, as the CSTO is a separate entity, this does not necessarily preclude Lakhzovian accession to the Cross-Straits Treaty.
As Lakhzovia already has an established relationship with one member of the CSTO at present, it is the hope of the Council that these talks will bear fruit. Topics to be discussed include concerns with Lakhzovian democracy and human rights, as well as aspects of the Cross-Straits Treaty, particularly its common defense clauses. With the geopolitical landscape of the future remaining out of view, it is imperative that the CSTO do all it can to preserve freedom, peace, and prosperity on Mundus to the extent possible. The Council believes that Lakhzovia has the potential to be a firm ally in achieving that goal; if, upon the conclusion of the aforementioned talks, this is shown to be true, the Republic of Lakhzovia will be extended a formal invitation to join the CSTO as either a full or associate member.
