Title: Festival of Sail - Conclusion
Post by: DaveIronside on August 28, 2017, 11:34:55 AM
Spoiler: WHATS HAPPENED SO FAR • show

Several nations from across Mundus have brought a variety of boats to a festival in Portworth East Moreland. This festival has seen the King of East Moreland consult on an Achkaerin citizens Sword Ceremony and enjoy a few drinks with a noble from Lodja. Meanwhile various nations have indulged in fun and games surrounding their own boats.

Freya and Alex had spent most of the day moving between hanging out with King David and taking Evie and Rhiannon to the next place they wanted to play, the two girls were loving it, a chance to play pretend with all the historical reenactments and obviously eat ice cream. Alex however was still a little down, earlier in the day he'd been blocked from adopting Evie, the little girl he'd rescued from a remote island when he'd been washed up there during the Refugee Crisis. At first the five year old wouldn't talk at all, and then only to Alex, but now she was getting back to being a normal little child as Alex and then Freya had looked after her. She occasionally accidently called them "Mummy" and "Daddy" but Alex always smiled and explained that while he was looking after her he wasn't her father, for all Alex knew her father could still be out there searching for his daughter, but he figured that was pretty remote. This time he'd been blocked from adopting her as the judge didn't think it was appropriate for a unmarried man to be adopting a child, especially with Alex's military career.

Freya could tell he was feeling down. "Thinking of the adoption?" she asked as they strolled towards where Evie was playing with Rhiannon, they stopped short as the two girls clambered up a playground cargo net to use a slide in the shape of a sea monster.

"Yeah, I just want to get it sorted" Alex had initially not seen himself as a father figure but having had nearly a year of being her surrogate Dad he'd grown to love the role, and the girl. He was worried, if he went away on deployment again there was a chance they'd take Evie into care rather than let Alex's wheelchair bound father look after her.

"Simple solution" Freya mused, Alex was puzzled at her flippant response. "We get married" Alex shifted uneasily, he'd loved Freya for over a decade but being his best friends sister and more importantly the King's sister, had seen him avoid their relationship, now however David had given him his blessing but this step was one that still seemed strange. "We've been engaged almost a year, so why keep waiting."

"Well we need to make lots of arrangements, your schedule, mine, its complex." Alex shrugged.

"Well I reckon we've got about an hour before Evie needs to be in bed, I'm here, you're here so lets do it. I mean even David's here." Freya put her arms around Alex's neck. "So any other excuses?" she smiled.

"You mean now? We need a Priestess, we need a dress for you, birth blankets and the like" Alex referred to the ancient wedding practice of parents taking the blanket used to wrap a child in and saving them, they were made into a rope for the wedding of two people and used to tie their hands together.

"Well I've no parents, your father isn't exactly a traditionalist and frankly I don't want the whole pomp and ceremony of a royal wedding. Let's just do it, we can get Admiral Thompson to do it, he has the authority to marry people on board a flagged ship.....we're not exactly lacking them." Freya motioned around the harbour which was rammed full of vessels. "Personally I think we should go for the King Robert" she pointed to the huge flagship of the East Moreland Navy an amphibious warfare ship. "Beside, we've some influential foreign types in, and the gala dinner, perfect wedding reception."

"You're serious aren't you" Alex laughed as he shook his head. "Fine" he looked over at where the girls were playing. "Evie!" he motioned her over and she ran over holding her friend Princess Rhiannon's hand. "What would you say to being a flower girl at a wedding?" he asked. The little girls face lit up, they'd gone to one of Alex's colleagues weddings a few weeks earlier and she'd been fascinated at the way a girl had thrown flowers in front of the bride, she'd spent the next day making a basket full of petals from the flowers in the park, much to the annoyance of the park warden. She'd then watched fascinated as they blew on the wind.

"Yes please" she said excitedly. "Who is getting married?" she asked

"Us" Alex held Freya close and Evie jumped up and down excitedly. "It'll not be as fancy as Sam's but we want you to do it, with Rhiannon if her Dad says yes." the two girls hugged each other excited at the prospect. The next thirty minutes were a whirlwind as Freya set her Chief of Household into motion. Rebecca Jarrett was an organisational machine and with the full might of the East Moreland military behind her it wasn't hard for her to have got Freya and Alex's swords en route as well as tracking down a Red Legion uniform for Alex and dress for Freya.

"I'd have preferred my uniform" Freya explained as a hastily recruited seamstress went to work poking Freya with needles as she worked and moaning for her to stand still.

"Well if you didn't spring things on me I could have sorted it. I'm not a miracle worker" Rebecca frowned as she did her best to encourage two excited little girls into white dresses and stop thme throwing the petals a florist had provided around the dockyards commanding officers office. Across the harbour Alex and David were getting changed in the state room onboard the REMNS King Robert.

"You seen my beret?" David was peering under the tables, luckily the King had his uniform for the Gala dinner but his white beret had vanished as they changed.

"This it?" Alex swung it at him as he strapped on his sword. "I was expecting just a quiet little thing when she suggested this." Alex explained as he brushed the Red jacket down. He looked at his watch "Thirty minutes" he muttered to himself. He knew aides were being sent to track down all the foreign delegates who'd arrived informing them of the short notice wedding and telling them not to worry about formalities but inviting them to attend the REMNS King Robert. The crew were being run ragged as Admiral Thompson had them cleaning and attempting to decorate the deck.

"Get that bloody Helo out the way, you think that's got an invite." Thompson bellowed as two deck hands began helping fold the blades in. "Where is the Marine party?" he looked round, he'd arranged for fifty of the Marines on duty to act as escort across the dockyard and they were now hastily whitening their cross belts and drawing rifles from the armoury. A Marine Sergeant appeared followed by the others. "Ten minutes to get there, be firm with the crowd if you need to" he instructed and the Marines went down the gangway, formed up and marched off, he could hear the Sergeant's voice yelling for the crowd to make a space for them. Meanwhile on deck a table had been found to act as a alter. "What the hell is this?" Thompson complained as he noticed the white cloth draped over it hadn't been ironed. "Get on it" he flung it back at a Seaman who turned and ran off the deck.

With five minutes to go word had begun to spread around the festival, after all it was noticeable on deck that something was happening and when the Marines had passed by something was clearly a foot of great importance as a parade of smartly dressed Royal Marine Commando's wasn't on the schedule. It was only when the King and Alex were seen on deck as a shield, paint still wet, with the Redfern emblem and the Ironside one were carried aboard the ship that many Morelanders knew a wedding was taking place. Khaki clad marines with automatic rifles now made their way down the gangplank to make a passage for the arrival of guests who had been hastily invited.

Ambassador Anasi had enjoyed herself thus far into the festival, it was nice relief from the usual day at the embassy and she always enjoyed the lesser intensity of the sun in East Moreland and its moderate weather. She had spent most of her time at Ahkabnil’s dock, and proudly so, the nation has had a strong maritime tradition dating centuries, bringing an array of ships ancient and new; such as a more modern replica infamous ‘Hwakeo’ - a beautifully restored ship from the height of the Quywe Empire that use to rule the Horn, styled with broadside guns and shark fin shaped sails. It was a fast ship for the time and one that saw countless victories.

It was a time when Chanal was the center of the Horn, and Ahkabnil ruled through militaristic might. Now, Ahkabnil was an aged country, wary of past and unsure for the future, relishing former glory as a mere puzzle piece to the modern day geopolitical scheme. The relic of this nostalgic past had been stationed in East Moreland for quite some time, and being a lover of ships, Anasi had always checked up on it throughout her tenure in the country. Finally, the ship was fully afloat and could even sail if manned properly.

At the center of the ship were several large war drums, that even boomed with a thunderous thud when merely tapped. On the ship were also several replicas of Quywe muskets, their backsides decorated lavishly with religious etchings with utmost attention and care to detail. Everything gleamed new, as if the ship was made yesterday and was ready to sail into battle. The director of the reconstruction, an enthusiastic Morelander who had teamed up with several Ahkabnilian historians, explained a few of the great battles Hwakeo was involved in, to a touring crowd, Anasi among them. Hearing of the broadside cannons, their interworkings, how the crew lived at sea, naval culture at the time, was certainly interesting. However there was soon another matter to attend to, as an aide had informed the Ambassador of a gathering ceremony at the Festival itself. As she stepped off the path to the Hwakeo, she observed a rushed scene, quickly gathering herself to head over. “A wedding?” she asked.

“Yes.”

“Wasn’t quite prepared for a wedding, and i haven’t meant any of the royals yet, seems like a good time to introduce ourselves.” she told her nameless aide, who hurriedly followed her.

She made sure to present all her credentials to the appropriate people, “Ahkabnil is sending a representative.” she announced, being let through to the path which led to the makeshift venue. Anasi wasn’t personally one for weddings, especially foreign ones, finding most boring and pointless, but the informal composure of this one excited her. Believing the Moreland royal family was a the usual stuck up foreign nobles, she was suddenly intrigued by the informal way they carried themselves, a relief from the strict statute of back home, she regretted to admit.

Hung Du Ho downed the last bit of wine he had been enjoying while he toured the harbor with a few security personnel. Social events weren't his particular field of expertise, he wasn't particularly good at them nor did he enjoy them. Politics were more his speed, and while the festival of sail was rather heavily centered around the social atmosphere for many, it offered a unique take on politics he hadn't properly thought of before. In years past he failed to attend the festival, in part due to a rather hectic schedule thanks to trouble back home, but also a lack of interest until recently. What was there not to enjoy in the prospect of catching a representative of a foreign power with their pants down? Tabloids have long since desensitized him about the happenings around the world, but to see it with his own eyes seemed like fun enough. Plus, it allowed for a genuine attempt at making a proper friend in the world outside of Vesi which couldn't hurt. At least no more than his wife's gaze would should he fail to even try.

His thoughts were partially scrambled, both as a result of a nice buzz he had been coaching and the sheer variety of ships he'd come to pass in the past few hours. He wasn't much of a sailor, in fact he can't recall a time he'd actually ever been on a boat aside from a ceremonial address a year prior. It wasn't until he started touring and learning some histories that a genuine interest started to form, particularly in how cultures so distant from one another could produce such similar yet entirely unique designs all on their own. Alas, these thoughts were interrupted as a member of staff caught his attention.

"Mr. Hung, I hope you're enjoying yourself." the man spoke, his tone genuine as he held a tablet to his chest.

"Far more than I thought I would have if I'm being honest." a sly smile crossed his face. His face was slightly flushed, and if that wasn't a give away the empty glass of wine helped point towards his slowly diminishing state of mind. A simple chuckle escaped the staff members mouth.

"I've spoken with a few locals about points of interest, there's a few ships from the Rokkenjiman delegation that are quite unique. After that some Nordic designs, and various Albion entries as well. If nothing comes up I'm certain we could plan around them if you're interested." the man asked, quickly cycling through his tablet to show various pictures of the ships in question. The prospect was interesting to Hung, and he nodded his head in approval as the man quickly answered a call.

"Oooh," the man mused with interest, turning back towards the Prime Minister, "how about a wedding? Rather impromptu I know, but a few of our organizers just got emails inviting us to attend."

"A wedding?" Hung said surprised, "I suppose I wouldn't be against the idea. Go over the idea with my wife, and see about fetching proper attire for the two of us." he turned quickly to his right passing the wine glass off to a security guard before retrieving his phone.

The couple, dressed to the best of their ability on such short notice, quickly traversed a small route and ascended a gangplank that had been set up moments ago for their arrival. Wedding ceremonies for East Moreland were completely foreign to Mina, Hung's wife, and while he understood a few basics he was almost as completely lost as her. The couple getting married however were all to known to Hung, at least impersonally. The life of politics tended to result in such situations, where the guests (or in this case soon to be newlyweds) were known purely from news or indirect contact via layers upon layers of third parties. While he couldn't exactly fit in as anyone they'd easily identify, he hoped his presence wasn't too out of place and guessing by the grip of his wife's hand she shared his sentiment.

"I hope we're dressed well enough, I knew we should've came better prepared. Oh but no, you insisted that it'd be a standard affair and we wouldn't need to be entirely formal!" Mina poked at him, there was a hint of seriousness in her voice but it was easily overtaken by her joking prods.

"Hey, how was I supposed to know?! You can't blame me for this! Take it up with with the bride and groom, they arranged it!" He whispered back, a soft chuckle escaped his lips as he took in the scenery. For as impromptu as it was, it was quite a sight. Given East Morlands outstanding military record, getting married aboard such a ship must be a rather humbling experience. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he thought back to his wedding, all the weeks of planning, the constant headache of making sure the funds were all properly allocated only for half the guests to not show thanks to an unexpected storm. Nothing nearly as fanciful, but entirely its own experience of which he wouldn't trade for the world. A somber expression passed over his face for a few moments as he looked on. As joyous as it was, he couldn't help but feel a little depressed about the entire affair. This kind of excitement is rare, and it's something he has unfortunately neglected for a large part of his life.

A chuckle escaped his lips as he stopped whispering for a moment. "I'm going to quickly scout out if there's any drinks around, want anything?" he asked barely waiting for an answer. Mina simply shook her head before he wandered off.

Quinn Germaine (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=91.msg339#msg339) flicked through the binder she'd had security give her, it had the profiles of any high ranking dignitary attending the festival, normally she'd have had days to prepare for something like this but now it was rather frantic. "Ambassador Anasi" Quinn extended a hand, "I'm the Chief of the King's Household" she explained, "I hope this wasn't too much of an inconveniance" she added unsure really what you should say in these situations, "If you'd follow me, the ceremony is due to start in...." she looked at her watch, "about twenty minutes" she walked over the ships decks until the reached a few rows of chairs arranged for guests. "Steward" she motioned to a waiting white uniformed naval rating who came over with a tray full of glasses of orange juice or water which he offered. "I'll be back momentarily." Quinn felt like this was going to be a crazy twenty minutes trying to greet and seat everyone while at the same time get a bride onboard.

She got back to the rail just in time to catch Prime Minister Hung Du Ho at the top. "Mr.Prime Minister, an honour" she bowed slightly, "Ma'am" she turned to the wife before explaining again who she was, perhaps she should just get a badge or something she mused as she prepared to introduce the Prime Minister to Ambassador Anasi.

"Quinn" a voice called behind her, " Foreign Minister Edward Tamana (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=91.msg330#msg330) approached. "I'll look after the Prime Minister, you look rushed off your feet." Quinn nodded thankfully and headed back off to the rail of the ship to await the next entry. "Nice to meet you" Edward extended his hand, he was dressed rather casually, jeans, a white shirt and a thin blue blazer, like most he'd been taken by surprise and hadn't had a chance to get changed. "I'm Edward, the Kingdoms Foreign Minister, I trust you're enjoying our Festival?" he asked making small talk as he approached Anasi. "Ambassador, nice to see you again" he added as he showed the group to their seats and then sat himself down with them. "Now normally I'd tell you how the ceremony would go, but I've got to be honest I haven't a clue, its all rather short notice isn't it." he was actually rather excited, he'd seen King David's wedding on TV but now to be at a royal wedding was rather exciting. "I think its rather romantic though" he mused for a moment.  In the distance across the harbour they could see a gaggle of people gathering at the foot of some steps and a blue clad shape appeared, a cheer went up so loud that it could be heard across the festival. "Ah, I assume the bride is en route" he stood up and made his way over to one of the naval officers and whispered, the man saluted disappeared and returned in short order carrying two binoculars. Edward handed one to the Prime Minister and checked the others, there he saw Freya in a simple blue dress and her sword at her hip, the traditional scarf was not there. In front two excited looking girls, Rhiannon and Evie skipped along throwing flowers, Marines marched full of pride and swagger alongside her, normally a job done by Red Legion but today the Commando's got their moment of glory, even though Freya would have insisted on Light Scouts. Edward passed his glasses to Anasi, "She'll pass through the crowd, its usual she'll chat with a few people, we've about twenty minutes I guess" he sat down helped himself to a glass of orange and settled down for the festivities.

"But Maaawwwwwwm, I dun't wanna go!" The young girl squirmed as her mother - though many attempts - got her into a formal(ish) dress. "How old are you now, Millie?" snapped her mother. "Ten..."

"Yes, bit old to be throwing a fit then, yeah?"

"But maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwm!" The girl pouted, crossing her arms.

"Why are you so pouty anyways?"

"She may have 'found' some Mountain Dew at the festival." Chirped in her husband from across the hotel room, fitting his tie on. "You had one job, James." Pouted Minerva sarcastically. "I mean, I actually have quite a few-.." her husband responded, "Urgh, well, if your daughter finds a way to screw up the first foreign wedding that we attend it's on you." She teased, adjusting her own dress as her daughter toyed with hers.

"My daughter!?" The voice boomed from across the room, her husband emerging from it in a suit and tie. "Mmmmhmmm..." He rolled his eyes. "Let's go." They made they way out of the room, being escorted by their usual two man security detail downstairs and into the festival grounds, before weaving through crowds to arrive at the VIP entrance. Their names checked, they were lead inside where they quickly found a seat towards the rear before the Bride's arrival.

The introduction of Quinn happened to catch the Prime Minister off guard as she spoke, bowing his head ever so slightly in greetings. He'd have gotten a word in if she didn't seem so eager to to carry on with her various tasks. Luckily the poor woman was saved as a voice called for her dismissal as Edward took over for her. Hung was quick to raise his hand to meet the foreign minister's as they exchanged introductions.

"Pleasure to meet you as well Edward--" He quickly tilted his head in the direction of his wife.

"Mina." She said, a small bow following as she spoke.

"The festival is fantastic," Hung started, "I'll be honest Edward's I was a bit apprehensive about visiting myself, I had skipped it a few years prior due to personal business but my time here has been quite enjoyable. I never thought I'd learn so much about boats in my life." He chuckled slightly, his wife giving him a rather surprised look at his forward approach. Had he snuck a drink while she wasn't looking...? "The surprise wedding only added to the occasion, though I would request you give us a bit more time to prepare in the future." he joked, waving off his suggestion. The sight of Anasi was a surprise though, Hung had never directly spoken with the man but his face was all to familiar to anyone high enough up in the Vesian government. The surprise was short lived as the group was herded towards a couple of seats.

"Then I suppose it's an event for the lot of us, no?" He smiled, the excitement was somewhat visible on Edward's face, his comment about romance struck a cord with his wife as well. A few moments passed as the crowd began to cheer before they got their binoculars. Letting his wife have first go, Mina peered through the spectacles.

"I hope she's not too worried about the dress, she's pulling it off spectacularly." Mina commented passing the binoculars to her husband for a few seconds.

The Festival had been a success, not that it was ever anything but given how popular it was, but it was also a personal success at least as far as Peter (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=49.msg157#msg157) was concerned, he'd managed to sort out his Goddaughter's girlfriend's path to her sword ceremony and now he was spending his time enjoying the festival with his fiance Renee Sandiego (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=49.msg166#msg166), the ships were always interesting to look at and the naval officer within the Emperor always went wide eyed with amazement. He was busy admiring one of the more ancient vessels when he got word about the wedding and so the pair headed for the venue.

What they didn't anticipate was bumping into someone they didn't even know was in the city Sapyiat Kaltev (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=49.msg704#msg704), a Major in the Achkaerin Special Forces and her adopted daughter Mika (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=49.msg705#msg705)
"Are you on leave Major?" Peter asked
"Yes Your Majesty, with it being Festival of Sail I thought it a good opportunity to observe my Shield Daughter seeing as I am the last one standing." Sapyiat said
"Conclusion?" Peter asked
"She has quite the active imagination." Sapyiat said, Peter smiled
"How do you two fancy coming to Freya's wedding?" Peter asked
"The groom had better be Alex Redfern." Sapyiat said, she'd worked with Freya on numerous operations and the pair had a healthy level of respect for each other, heck it was Freya who'd found Mika in Safraen as well, but above all Sapyiat knew, had known for a long time what Freya felt for Alex, ever since Caspian and Rhiannon's first birthday "If Erin Osman shows up can I drop kick her over the side of the ship?"
"Freya would probably beat you to it." Mika said with a grin.

"Come on then." Peter said

King Cóemgein of Cantabria was not a very confident person, even in royal councils he would sit and let others talk and offer their advice, and usually agree with the person who he felt least comfortable offending. Even in social situations he found it hard to hold a conversation of any substantial length and so now as they came aboard this boat he could feel himself getting the usual butterlies in the stomach. Cait on the otherhand threived in these situations, when her husband had been hospitalised she had filled in at the council and had made all the Ministers fidget and squirm as she'd pushed and questioned them. She made her way over to where the Ahkabnil and Vesi delegations had been sat. She lead her husband by the hand as though he was not keen to go. "Good afternoon" she said as she took a seat, "We thought it best to join you, I believe we all probably have no idea what's going to happen so may as well look clueless together" she began, "Oh....I apologise, this is Cóemgein, he's the King of Cantabria, and I'm his wife Cait, lovely to meet you all" she took hold of one of the glasses and looked at the approaching Freya, "She looks very different out of uniform" the Queen remarked handing the glasses to her husband.

"Hon, are we supposed to be like, in the back?" Remarked her husband, looking towards the group of delegations gathered together in a form of clueless assembly. "I mean-..." Minerva looked to her left and right, "Yeah, let's go then." They both gripped a hand of Millicent, leading their child towards the Vesi, Ahkabnil and Cantabrian delegations looked aimlessly clueless - as admittingly did most of the hastingly assembled wedding. They squeezed in next to the group of delegations, finding their footing. "I figured we'd join you in having no clue what's happening." Minerva spoke, laughing quietly. "I'm Minerva Todd, Premier of Cascadia," She nodded to her husband and child, "This is my husband, James, and my daughter, Millicent."

Duke Tobias (http://w11.zetaboards.com/Independent_Order_NS/single/?p=10062240&t=30202201) and his wife Anoushka (http://w11.zetaboards.com/Independent_Order_NS/single/?p=10062246&t=30202201) had boarded the King John and had a look around, they didn't know many of those who had gathered, after all they were just nobles from Lodja and not international diplomats. Being the highest ranking Lodjain here though had been enough to get them admitted. "Is he there?" a voice from Anoushka's video calling phone asking. Anoushka turned the phone to point towards the part of the boat where King David was standing. "You have to make sure to talk to him" Stasya Pelagiya (http://w11.zetaboards.com/Independent_Order_NS/single/?p=10040574&t=30202201) instructed her parents. She'd been doing her best to keep David's attention over distance and while she'd tried to get the permission to be away from her duties as a Lady In Waiting during the festival so she could once more catch the King's eyes in person but her parents were now tasked with doing their best to keep David interested.

"So what happens as a Cultist wedding" Tobias asked his daughter, he'd ensured she'd learned about other nations and she had taken a good interest in East Moreland five years or so ago, something that he'd encouraged, she was somewhat of an expert now, spoke the language and knew the customs.

"Well usually they take weeks to plan" Stasya replied as she watched from the opposite side of Mundus. "But generally their hands are bound, vows exchanged and then people get drunk" she thought for a moment that in reality it was little different than weddings the world over."

"Oh, simple enough" Tobias sat down towards the rear and waited for things to start.

Matilda had been slightly distracted during the Festival, what else would you expect when one of your daughters just happened to have a child.

She had been a Grandmother for over a year and didn't know. 'Serves me right' she thought to herself as she mused over the fact that her daughters choice in Partners was as terrible as her Fathers. Munching on one of the baked Ships her Ex Lover sold at his bakery she held her little Granson on her lap as she gently rocked him, before hearing the News about the Wedding over her Bluetooth Headset.

Looking around the Harbor she spotted the Crew of the galleons happily camping out on the Pier with moreland teens, having made their own Campside and trading different trinkets and foods to heat over their Makeshift Bonfire. The Marines from the Eonar where busy doing a drinking contest with some of the Vikings so her Options on whom to bring along where starting to wear thin, before she turned back to the Bakery.

Twenty minutes and a short trip to a Barber later, Matilda had her Daughter refurnished into a presentable Lady carrying the Toddler along as the two approached the ceremony, making themselves known to Miss Germaine along the Way: "Admiral Eidmeier from Neu Uburzis, along with my Daughter Maria and My Grandson."
"His Name is Alexander." Maria added blushed deeply: "I feel like i am your Pet Dog Mother."
Matilda shrugged as they made their Way over: "Think of it as a chance to see a royal wedding up close, and not just through TV."
Though she ahd to admit, she felt pretty bad about this. She hadn't talked with them other than letters in years, and now that she was one of the Highest Advisers After Alexandras Death she had even less time: "I have to make sure you meet your Half one Day. I think you might get along."

"If he is anything like us, then the only thing we might have in common is a thing we don#t know very well. You."
Matilda sighed as she took seat. Maybe this wasn't a good idea after all.

Edward was rather enjoying chatting to the various foreign dignatries, he'd gathered quiet a group around him now that the Cascadians had joined them along with the Celts and the group from Neu Uburzis. He was in the middle of explaining to them that the Goddess Marissa had worn only a simple dress when she married Helus and thus every bride followed her example, simple plain dresses with rope belts. Before he could finish however there was a shout from the opposite side of the boat. "This wedding should be stopped!!" a woman dressed in purple with a heavy chain around her neck. "The bloodline of Unasson should not be tarnished with non noble blood" It was Jinny Denman, the so called leader of the Sisterhood of Helus, an unorthadox sect of the Cult which claimed Helus was a woman. She's spent months criticising first King David and then Princess Freya for marrying commoners. How she'd got into this wedding was a mystery, but then David saw one of his Junior Ministers stood alongside her.

"Major Keane" David called on the closest Marine officer, "Can you get that woman out of here" he asked and immediately the Major motioned for four Marines to follow him, they took hold of an arm of each woman and firmly escorted them towards the gangway.

"The Ironsides must be kept pure" she yelled as she was pushed ever onwards down the metal plank, "Marissa will not bless this wedding, Helus turns away from you." The voice disappeared into the distance and a rather annoyed David turned back towards Redfern.

"Some Junior Minister is getting sacked in the morning" he said grimly as Keane returned. The pair waited as the procession got closer and closer. Edward returned to speaking to the foreign guests explaining that the woman was insane, or drunk, or crazy, probably a combination of the lot. Freya had now reached the quayside and stopped to chat with a few people, she was nervous now, there was about ten minutes to go now and her stomach was doing somersaults.

Matilda shook her head as the woman had been escorted out: "I discussed that woman with our Prince Regent before. Maybe we should make a statement after all, since Emperor Orion's future Wife will be a hot Topic. But generally speaking, we where pretty disgusted she pulled that legislation stunt just after King Ironside's Ex-Wife had born another Child she will likely outlive. It is disrespectful and shameless to point fingers to a Mother who already was struck with terrible misfortune. She might have not been a good Queen for her King in Retrospective, but such childish behaviour is unbearable. Not to Mention that Citizens aren't unpure, Royalty stands on Top as the summary of all that is good in their Citizens, even if choosen by the gods, a hard working Man or Woman is never Unpure."

The Admirals knuckles had turned white as she took a long breath, making her daughter raise an eyebrow, the Morelandish accent in her Daughters speech  more than clear: "For once i have to agree with you, it was beyond Tasteless to treat the former Queen that way. Not to mention what an incredible insult i felt like this act is towards our Crown Princess. And isn't she the sweetest?" hearing her own son wiggle and seemingly complain, she turned back to him with a smile: "Alright Alexander, you are /my/ sweetest."

The naysayers appearance was, well, odd to the foreign cascadians. About midway through their confrontation, James and Minerva turned to eachother, slightly confused. Moreland was an interesting place indeed. Of course, their daughter felt so as well. By the time the Marines had pulled the two women towards the gateway, a childish voice pierced the commotion, "It's not pollliteee to yell at a wedding, miss!" It took them both a second to realize that it was their child who had made the quip in the middle of what was now the crowd's laughter, and they quickly turned to silence their ten year old. "Millie!" Her father snapped, grabbing her by the arm.

"But you told me to be quiet at weddings." she returned with another, albeit quietly quip. "That-..That doesn't mean you can tell other people to be quiet Millie..."

"B-..Fine. Boring." She snipped, "Stay quiet." Her mother commanded, and she shrunk back between the two of them.

The couple had temporarily co-opeted the use of the binoculars to do a little sight seeing of various ships that they could see peering over the rails. A few days earlier and the interest in said vessels would be non-existent aside from military matters but, as the saying goes, when in Moreland do as the Morelanders do. Their adventure into the harbor was quickly interrupted though as one by one, new delegates flooded their way towards where Edward had previously sat them and then Ahkabnil delegations. The first of which was Cantabria, the King of Cantabria none the less, being seemingly dragged against his will it would appear to the delegation. There was a humor to the sight, one of which Mina took great pleasure in, laughing lightly to herself as Cait introduced themselves.

"It's a pleasure to meet the both of you," Mina spoke first, stealing Hung's thunder having taken inspiration from Cait, "Most importantly your highness." Her eyes darted to the King, bowing her head from her seated position as her husband followed suit.

"Mr. Du Ho, Hung Du Ho from the Principality of Vesi, it's a pleasure to meet you on such a fine evening." Hung spoke. While he did not know it, the King and himself were surprisingly similar in regards to their socialization skills. While Hung did not lack them, persay, he was very poor at communicating it to strangers and even poorer still to communicate it with anyone who happened to not be his wife. Politics, however, he could do. Luckily, with a bit of encouragement from his wife and a few drinks he snuck before the wedding he was much more sociable than they'd be lead to believe.

"Believe us, we're as much confused as you are. Mr. Edward; I'm sorry I'm afraid I missed your last name," Mina spoke apologetically, "As I was saying, Mr. Edward here has been kind enough to at least give us the run down. He's been quite the host despite being in the dark as the rest of us. Though, I can hardly blame him the surprise wedding is quite the... surprise it would seem."

As the group chattered on with introductions and small talk, it was the Cascadians who entertained their company next.

"Premier, it's great to finally meet you. Welcome to our little corner of the world." Mr. Hung opened up with a smile, offering a hand to Minerva as he nodded at James. Mina offered a small wave to Millicent. "This here is Edward, I, or well my wife, was just explaining to Cantabria that he's our makeshift host for the evening." he stated, offering a glance at the man.

As the group was beginning to enjoy Edward's cultural enrichment a lady's boisterous voice suddenly stole their attention. The added confusion of the sudden interruption along with Edward's cultural teachings was quite a lot to take in for Hung, Mina however was too busy trying to entertain Millicent whenever the girl ventured far enough from her mother. The woman's preaching however was falling on deaf ears for the most part as those not versed in Helus culture and sects failed to properly see the issue, Hung himself was rather confused but sympathetic to the anti-commoner stance at least in a very vague and unrelated way. Too many problems sourcing true heirs to the Principality outside of the Mangjul main family itself. A sigh escaped his lips as she spoke; he had half a mind to speak himself but it seems Millicent beat him to it. A short snort escaped his mouth as he tried his best not to look like a fool as her parents disciplined her properly.

"I don't mean to pry Edward, but I take it East Moreland has more than pretenders and Boreland terrorists to deal with? I hope the best with these domestic quarrels, Vesi's got her own fair share and I can sympathize."

Siting comfortably was Najm Al-Sabah, Honorary member of the Royal Family of Rashidun, Occasionally giving glances to Rashidun participants, Even laughing audibly when a crazy woman got dragged out of the place screaming something about "Pure Heritage".

Sipping from his tea cup, He looked to the other seat and immediately spit out his drink and getting up quickly, Panic evident in his face, He lost the kid, "Im gonna die! Im gonna die!" Repeating constantly and running around frantically looking for the boy, Suddenly stopping to hear laughter the man deduced that the boy would most probably be there.

Suddenly finding himself infront of two parent lecturing their daughter, Najm frantically took hold of the man shoulders and whiper-shouted at the person, "Have you seen the kid!?" Startling the person, Najm shook his head and ran to the other direction to see a giant ship with the Akhnabik Flag with what seems to be a big deal crowd.

Something then caught his eyes, A boy was making his way to the people coming out of the giant boat, Not any boy, "Charles!" , Prince Charles of Rashidun, The youngest son of the King, As the boy finally made his way to the crowd he was grabbed by Najm and dragged to their table, But Charles had something to say about all of this.

"You people look funnyyyyyyy!!"

"Wa-..What?" James suddenly found himself gripped by a shaggy appearing fellow, who was now questioning him about "The Child." "What-..Who? What?" His wife and child were now looking on, as confused as he was. Before he could think of a cohesive response, the man had vanished back into the crowd.

"Who was that?" He looked back at his wife

"I have no idea... A Rashidunian maybe?" His wife shrugged, they both turned back to Millicent. "Well, we have our child, but I don't think that's what he means by the child....You're not starting World War Three down there or anything, right Millie?"

Her daughter jumped, seemingly having spaced out, "Huh? No,no no, 'Course not!" She answered sarcastically.

The Denman incident over Edward heard those around him react, it made him feel awkward, thankfully Mina broke the silence. " Well that woman's part of something called the Sisterhood of Helus, unfortunately someone trying to split our faith, she has only a few thousand supporters and most find her something of a joke, sadly two of our junior ministers seem to be supporters of her, but their nothing more than preachers in the wild." he hoped the explanation would defuse that situation, "Normally we'd have the High Priestess doing the ceremony, but welll.....time and that." he shrugged his shoulders, "As for the Borlanders we've got them pinned in the Alps for the time being so there is nothing to worry about" he said confidently, it was true since the Stoneton incident the Borlanders had been reduced to the odd ambush and raid in the Alps but Edward knew like most Morelanders something else would come in the future, it always did. "I think the biggest worry today will be trying to get some of the crackling off the roast pig" he had seen the various chefs from the planned gala dinner quickly adapting to a wedding feast including two giant Boers being slowly turned on a spit outside the Officers Mess at the neighbouring Naval Base.

Suddenly a bugle blew and the Morelanders present instinctively stood as Edward motioned for the visitors to do likewise, the sound of people coming up the metal gangway could be heard and a smartly dressed Royal Marine saluted as white dressed Princess Rhiannon and Evie appeared on deck with little baskets from which they flung red flower petals. Next came on deck Freya, a simple Blue Dress (http://debenhams.scene7.com/is/image/Debenhams/?wid=244&hei=430&size=244,430&cropN=.2,0,.57,1&layer=1&src=Debenhams%2F61132_483097C3P&size=430,430&qlt=85&op_sharpen=1&resMode=sharp2&op_usm=0.5,0.5,5,0) her blonde hair pulled back into a short pony tail held in place by a simple piece of red ribbon. Around her neck she wore a silver necklace with her mothers wedding ring on, the only other accessories were a rope belt from which hung her sword. Just behind her came Rebecca Jarrett, her Chief of Staff holding a red shield with the royal families coat of arms on. David turned and smiled as he saw his sister, their father should have been stood where he was waiting to "Hand her over" as David had explained it. Alex meanwhile kept facing the makeshift alter, it was considered back luck to turn when the bride entered, something about it being the marriage always looking into the past.

Finally Freya reached the alter and Alex turned to face her a great smile on his face. It was now over to Admiral Thompson, "You're all going to have to forgive me, this is the first time I've ever conducted a marriage, would have to be a royal one too, so no pressure hey." He looked down as the piece of paper that was weighted down and covered in scribble, with certain things not being avaliable such as parents, scarves and the like it was pretty much seat of the pants work. "If I may begin by asking who brings Freya Kara Ironside for marriage." It felt odd to the Admiral not using her royal title but it was tradition.

"I do, David Sven Ironside" the King said proudly. "Finally" he added under his breath getting a slight playful dig in the ribs from Freya. At this point he would have removed a specially made scarf from around Freya's neck and untied it before handing it to the Priestess, that wasn't here and so in the finest Navy tradition Thompson had made do with a length of lanyard. The King picked it up, a slip knot already tied in it he placed it over his sisters wrist and stepped back to stand with Rhiannon to one side.

"And who brings Alexander Redfern for marriage"

"I do, Arthur Kelly" Brigadier Kelly was in town for the festival, after all it gave him chance to check out some shiny new Red Legion equipment, and being the closest Alex had to a father in town he'd got the gig. He picked up the other end of the loop placed it over Alex's wrist. Thompson took hold of the centre of the lanyard and began reading from his card trying hard to ignore the noises from onlookers, many of whom wouldn't have a clue what was happening.

"Many thousands of years ago the God Helus took the Goddess Marissa to be his wife. The two bound their hands together as a sign of a union that would not be broken, today in the sight of Helus and Marissa we today create a union of these two people." There were several prayers and even some singing before they reached the main part of the ceremony. A small wooden bowl was produced and a tiny little knife.

"With my blood I pledge that I shall love you forever, stay true to my oath to be a loyal loving husband and honour you always" with that Alex nicked his thumb and squeezed a few drops of blood into the bowl. Thompson wiped the blade clean and then handed it handle first to Freya.

"With my blood I pledge that I shall love you forever, stay true to my oath to be a loyal loving wife and honour you always" Freya now made a small cut in her thumb and added her blood to the bowl which Thompson held up.

"We have heard their promises and witnessed their commitment to each other. It is our duties to support them in their marriage. I further ask", a small brush was dipped into the bowl and Thompson mixed the two bloods together, "That Helus and Marissa give these pair their blessings" he splashed a small amount of blood onto two statues of the Gods before taking another lanyard and wrapping it tight around both hands, normally the loose end of the scarf was used but this was the best they had. "I am exceptionally proud to name them man and wife, May The Gods Watch over you and Your Hearts know peace." the two kissed and the Morelanders stood and clapped. David even had a bit of a tear in his eyes while Rhiannon and Evie hugged before Alex motioned Evie over to join them. A few photos were taken and then Freya and Alex accompanied by Evie left once more escorted by Marines.

David spoke to the assembled group. "OK, we've a few small things that are tradition still to do, first dance, eat too much, have a drink or six and the like. The Royal Navy have thankfully made their officer mess available, its literally a few hundred meters that way, follow the smell of roasting pig" the King could even see the smoke raising slowly from the fire in the distance. The King watched as the people headed for the gangway again to follow Freya and Alex who were now being showered in flowers by well wishes who lined the route to the officers mess. David wanted to stay til the end and thank the crew.

"Come on we're missing valuable drinking time" Brigadier Kelly urged as he stood beside the King. "Anyway they'll be a queue at the bar if we wait." he teased as the deck emptied.

At the Officers Mess long white tableclothed tables had been arranged, bottles of wine and water lining the centres. A frantic Naval officer ran to and fro checking on things before the couple arrived. "One minute" he yelled as he saw the couple approaching and he literally sprinted the length of the mess hall to straighten one of the rows of bottle, one being a few centremeters out. He had just reached the door again as the newlyweds arrived. "Your Royal Highnesses" he saluted.

"Not yet" Freya smiled, "He's still a muggle" she teased her husband, it seemed strange to think that now she was married while less than 24 hours ago it wasn't something she'd even been thinking about any time soon, but why not.

"Yes Ma'am....I mean Your Highness, Major Redfern" the officer was flustered, "if you'll come with me, your should stand here greet people as they arrive." The officer stood to one side ready to direct people as they arrived, he waited for the first arrivals, Captain Robbie Peacock, one of Alex's Red Legion friends to finish speaking to the couple.

"Thanks for coming Robbie" Alex said shaking hands with the tall officer.

"I just came cos of the free bar" he smiled before bowing to Freya. "You have my condolences" he said to Freya, he'd got to know her well during his time at the Palace running Red Legion operations and they'd also served in Academica together, Freya considered him more a friend than a guard.

"He's not so bad" Freya hugged him.

"He snores" Robbie added, they'd shared a tent or two in their careers.

"And what exactly have you been doing sleeping with my husband" Freya pretended offence.

"Get to the bar, we've more important people to see." Alex gave him a playful push. Robbie didn't need telling twice and listened to the Naval officer direct him to either the dining room or the bar, he peered inside the mess hall, seeing just wine and then headed to the bar for a proper drink. Several other Morelanders arrived one after another each getting to pass on their congratulations and then file into the bar or hall to socialise before the party began.

Finally calming Prince Charles down, Najm was exhausted but finally able to relax after calming the boy down, After watching the ceremony Najm took Charles' hand a began walking more into the crowd, Seeing the same man that he frantically questioned and running without explaining he began to walk toward him.

"H-Hello Mr." Said Najm to the man chuckling awkwardly and extending his hand for a handshake, "Sorry about earlier i was in a...Hurry...Yeah you could say that.." Finally noticing the confusing look given by Charles, Najm fnally pointed at Charles and began introducing him, "T-This is Prince Charles of Rashidun, And I am Najm Al-Sabah, Pleased to meet all of you" He stuttered due to the awkwardness of the situation, I mean, I just ran into him asking about a Child.

The three of them had made their way to the Officer's Mess after the formal ceremony, being in the middle of collecting said roasted pig when approached again by the man who had jumped them before.

"Well, It's no issue at all... We were just worried our kid was the one you were in a hurry about." He laughed, "I'm Lieutenant Colonel James Todd, this is my wife Minerva, the Premier of Cascadia, and our daughter down there, Millie." The latter looked up at Charles across from her, cocking a eyebrow. "Hi."

Minerva spoke, holding a glass of champagne. "What was that all about, anyways?"

"Oh nothing, J-Just some complications, Right Charles" Said Najm eyeing Charles with a look that implied fhat he should behave, Responding to the other child with a simple "Hey" and crossing his arm while the adults talked, "Either way its done and thats what's important, Anywho its such an honor to meet you, I heard there is a meeting back in Rashidun with your respective delegation" Responded Najm while pointing at the bouffant and saying, "I'd like to know more about Cascadia if you dont mind, And Charles here is also interested in visiting it someday, Please if you dont mind taking care of Charles for sometime, I really need to relax for a bit" Whispering the last part to the Premier

As he said that he didnt wait for an answer and took the hand of James and dragged him to a nearby table with food to talk to the man, Leaving Charles with the Girls, "He bailed on me" said Charles nonchalantly with a slight hint of surprise.

James threw a half-shrug at Minerva as he was pulled away, quickly disappearing into the crowd with the man who put them both down on a table. "So-..uhm-..What'd you like to know?" shrugged the man, trying to make  conversation. Chatting up foreign dignitaries was far from his specialty, though he tried to hide it showing.

"Yeah, he totally did." remarked Millicent, shrugging and looking up to her mother, who looked down at the two children, then back to where she had guesstimated the two men had gone, then back to the two children again, realizing she had just been dumped with babysitting duty. "I'm going to need more wine." The woman sighed to herself, looking between the children. "So, uhm, how old are you, Charles?"

"I am eleven, Ma'am!" Said Charles politely smiling at the lady while holding both of his index fingers as to indicate his age, Then awkwardly standing in-front of the two girls as the awkward silence has finally conquered the atmosphere around them, "So...uhm..uhhh..Can we eat? I am actually hungry." Said Charles again trying to break the awkward atmosphere by mentioning food, Unknown to him, Someone was approaching the wedding from afar, Someone who adorned Royal clothings and a long coat, Wisdom evident in his face.

It was none other than King Hans Arasilfver, King of the Rashidun Kingdom, Father of Charles, Unbelievably late, He was actually roaming the city of Portworth as it had actually interesting architecture, Accompanying him was Brigadier General Youssef Bin Ali, Sometimes being the personal bodyguard of the King occasionally, It was one of those times, "I think were late, Sire" Suddenly chimed Youssef.

"You don't say!" Whisper-shouted Hans angrily at Bin Ali while walking slowly to the wedding.

Somewhere with James and Najm

"Oh please, Tell me everything, Hows life in there, Is it really that cold in Cascadia? Are drugs actually legal in there" Started Najm excitedly and finally not having to put up with kids all day, The King wont notice if he's not in the wedding, Right?

"I-..I mean...sure" Minerva shrugged, by now conceding herself to her ad-hoc fate for the night. She sighed, indicating the surety of them loosing their seats of they stood. "Watch Millie, would you then? I'll go grab us some food." The girl's protests of "Hey!Icanwatchmyse-" were cut off by her mother's stare. "I'll be right back."

Somewhere else

"I mean-... Life's pretty good...Depends on where you are...Depends what drug..." He shrugged, "If we're going to keep doing this I'll need to take notes." He laughed, taking a sip of wine. "For the most part it's temperate - depends on the season. Unless you're up in the mountains of course. "And I mean, drugs? Depends on the drug..We don't exactly hand out Heroin or anything.."

Once the lady went on her way Charles slammed his head softly on the table, "boooooooorrriinnnnggggg" The boy whined with his voice slightly muffled by the table's fabric, "Now I have to watch over you, whoever you are" Said Charles after lifting his head and crossing his arms, Clearly not liking the situation.

James And Najm

"Is there any places you would recommend for a tourist Mr.Todd, I would LOVE to go and see Cascadia for myself." Najm said obviously happy, Why wouldn't he be? He's finally having a normal conversation with a  functioning adult for a change

King Hans and Youssef

"Finally..." Whispered Hans to himself while walking himself and Youssef in the wedding, While walking, Something caught his eye.........It was King David of East Moreland, Walking to him with Youssef and smiling the fellow ruler greeted David, "Greetings Your Majesty, My warmest congratulations on the wedding." Unknown to him was that the royal sitter wasn't with Charles, In-fact no one was with Charles, Other than another Child.

"I am glad at least some countries let them choose whom to be with, Orion most likely won't have that choice." was what Matillda said to her daughter, before saluting to the Royal couple, her daughter doing a small curtsy: "Your Majesties, we thank you for the wonderful wedding. Such a marvelous Idea. And with mostly no Incidents on such short notice. I am truly impressed."
Her daughter Maria almost stuttered, before finally finding the words to say: "I am so honored to have witnessed your wedding, your Majesties. The feeling of honor for my Citizen's heart is unbelievable."
Matilda patted her daughter strongly on the back: "Ah come on, you are still the daughter of an almost infamous mercenary Captain gone Admiral and Royal Adviser, get used to the Attention." While her daughter turned deep red in her face, Matilda was smiling at the newly weds: "I hope i find this Edward guy again, i definitely want to find out how much he can drink. I mean this is a Wedding after all, we should make sure it's a night to be remembered."
"MOTHER!" Maria protested, as she shoved her daughter past: "I wonder if they bought some of your bread. I mean you do have the bakery conveniently close." was all the Admiral answered. She had made sure her Grandson was brought back to his Grandfather, before she had allowed her daughter to find people to talk to herself, as she made her way with two Pina Colada and some Entree's towards Edward, grinning as she handed him one of the Drinks: "So, what is your usual Job mister" she said munching on a small piece of Bread with Spread: "or is keeping Foreign Dignitaries Happy your actual work?"

Maria on the other hand had ended up near a table with bored Royalty Kids pouting at each other as she finally took a seat with a bowl of Ricecrackers she had been generously offered by one of the Server who needed more Space for actual food.

"Charles, My name's Charles." Said the boy all-high and mighty, "Well...What now, Your mother is going to be late it seems" Right as he said that he saw a lady walk near them with what seems to be treats, Charles immediately went close to Millie and whispered "Pssst, Hey maybe we should go there and take some of that rice crackers." The boy seemingly a sweet-tooth didnt even wait for Millie to answer and took her hand, Approaching the lady.

"Hey Miss! Can we have some" Said Charles obviously faking a cute face to make the lady appeal to them, Nudging Millie to do the same so they could get this over with.

Ho boy James and Najm again

"Well there is also the matter of spendings, No? I mean do you think its expensive to go to Cascadia? Or is it cheap" Said Najm happily while sipping on some champagne, He was never a wine loving person, He'd prefer beer over it at any time, "Oh Rashidun? I'd always recommend Tyrrieg, Its the cultural hub of Rashidun, Many historical sites are in Tyrrieg and the towns that surround it, Of course there is also the Majestic Capital, Al-Wassad, A really Technological advanced place, You know if you were more of a nerd you'd love it" Replied Najm again sipping occasionally on his drink.

Adult's Table

"It depends on where. A vacation to the countryside will cost more, but it's worth it in my opinion." He took another sip, and a bite of the pig. "Tyrrieg does sound interesting" He nodded, "If the royal family is ever interested in vacationing here though, we can see what we can do, absolutely." He nodded to the man, looking around. "I probably should get back to my wife and the kid before she kills me." He laughed.

Approaching East Moreland

The Sirinisian fast passenger ship Dispatch

Clutching the invitation in her hands, the third Triarch of Sirinisi, the Honorable Rosasoro Dsatea, sighed when another wind struck her dark face. She was the second woman in the Triarchy and she was also the most significant person for her people, the Roeiatea. Her people had dark skin and were tall and muscular. However, she was not tall and she had lighter skin. She remembered how she was born as the wind of the waters of this world touched her without gentleness.

Then she shook it away and focused on what was ahead of her. The invitation was to a reception and a wedding in East Moreland. And she was afraid. Afraid that she would make a poor impression of her nation and afraid that she would be timid. She blushed when she remembered how Kasasaka members laughed at her when she made humiliating speeches or stumbled when she moved from room to room. But like a knight, Alsial Kodiko, the
wide-eyed Sioroprian, uplifted her and guided her. Now she was a Triarch and the Kasasaka respected her. Even when she was alone, they always gave her the Sirinisian nod and wave. And that made her feel a little better.

Just a little. Nothing more, nothing less.

Then she made a decision to get back into the ship and she did so, removing herself from the wind of the waters of this world. When she was inside, she   made her way to the main atrium and vomited into a trash bin. She hated being on a ship. But for some reason, she had to because this festival was about sailing.

All she could do was curse the waters and to pray that she could make it to East Moreland quickly. But Rosasoro never noticed another woman approach her and say "Sick again?"

She nodded.

Then she straightened and saw that it was

"Kdireaeo?"

The other nodded and then Rosasoro said "What's the matter?" Kdireaeo just shrugged and said "I can't sleep. The ship is moving so fast." Rosasoro doubted this and showed it by raising a brow. Then Kidreaeo sighed and said "I want to stay awake. I don't want to sleep."

Rosasoro then nodded and said "All right. I'll be with you."

And together, they were in the main atrium.

Moving away from this, it is said that the ship Dispatch was owned by a wealthy Dieraon. But in truth, it was only in name. This was to ensure that nobody would suspect the government of using Dispatch for travel. After all, it really wasn't theirs. They'd pay a little to the Dieraon and then they would use it for a while and then let her return. Then rinse and repeat.

For today, it was sailing towards East Moreland, carrying Rosasoro and Kidreaeo as well as their companions and of course, the crew and officers of the ship. A small security team was on the ship but the Sirinisians expected the journey and the festival to be uneventful. Hopefully. Maybe.

The only thing left to do was to wait for the ship to arrive at East Moreland for the festival.

Maria smiled at the two children, putting the bowl into their reach so they could take from them: "Of course you two can. Seems i am not the only decorative asset left on the Sideline."
Maria chuckled watching the Kids with their Treats: "So i gather your name is Charles, i am sorry but i don't think i would have been able to not hear it. Can i call you Charlie?" before nodding to the Girl: "How about you introduce you to the Lovely Lady at your Side?"

Charles took a piece from the lady, "Yes it is,Fine i guess you can call me that" He wasn't really paying attention to what the lady said as he was too focused with munching on the crackers, Until she asked him to introduce the girl with him on which he answered, "Oh this peasant?" He said pointing at Millie who was also busy munching on a cracker, "Its Millie sent or something like that" Again not really caring about the situation other than his crackers.

Itz dem adultz

"Oh don't be ridiculous, Am sure she will understand!" Said Najm obviously not wanting to end here and now, He took two full wine glasses and handed James one, "Okay final glass, It was really nice to talk with an adult for a change haha, uh...Cheers" He waited for James to process the situation and clank his glass with Najm, Najm was clearly not happy to end the conversation here, But priorities i guess.

"We're going to late again!" The Queen said to The King while onboard the QRB Independence during one of its cruises.

"Don't worry, that's why I brought the Ministers along, for us to enjoy the moment, for us to relish this freedom, this...." He monologues for a few minutes. He was lucky that none of the crowd noticed his poetic thinking.

"Ugh, sometimes I wish in the locked-up son." Fernando, the first prince, whispered.

After another hour of sailing, the old ship docked again, the passengers emptied out. The Royal Family was one of the first to step off from the boat. When they travel, they usually don't have guards surrounding and enclosing them, but rather undercover guards spread through a kilometer radius, along with a film crew for when the King needs to have a statement. The Family continued to walk to where the gala is.

Meanwhile..

He took his last sip of wine, "Thank you. I should get going." He stood up, holding his glass, and made his way over to his table. Except the kids weren't there. Minerva soon was though, and began asking the same question.

"Where's Millie?"

"I don't know-...I left her with that other kid-.." She responded, holding two plates of food. "I went to go get them food and the line was a half mile long..."

"Well, Probably should look for them.." They sighed collectively, before Minerva spoke. "Hopefully they're not up to anything too bad..." Before they collectively set off to look for the children

Norgeras

Maria shook her head and stood up, putting the bowl aside as she put on her most dearing smile: "Now now, you too. We all know your Parents are close so why don't you two try and put aside these petty little Squabbles?" She held out some more Crackers: "You are both in the same Boat here. You have to behave or else your Parent smight just find out. And since this is a very big Event, you really want to try and be nice to each other. Theres a Ton of people who would Gossip about the Royal Boy Charlie here being a mean little Brat, and Miss Milli being a little Brute that will never find a husband. And those are still the nice things people would say about you." She leaned back and munched on some Crackers: "Everyones eyes are on everyone here."

Zee

After being shoved, Charles immediately got an angry look that was directed to Millie, "Oh how surprising, YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT PEASANT MEANS" Immediately he crossed his arms and looked the other way, clearly not liking the lecture he's having and finally spotting none-other than his father, Right as he saw his father he panicked, If he finds out that he wasn't with Najm, Oh boy he's going to be grounded for life, At this point he wasn't thinking and took Millie's hand and ran as far away as he can from his father and find Najm.

Najm Al-Sabah[/i][/u]

At this point Najm was drunk, Not giving a care about anything he started to roam the wedding occasionally pumping with a few guests and muttering apologizes, As he roamed the place he noticed no one other than King Hans, Finally going to his Boss and surprising him as it seems that Charles wasn't with him.

"Najm? Where is Charles!?" Hans exclaimed  excusing himself from the Morelander couple and dragging Najm with him and Youssef strolling behind the Royal.

"Who?" Najm replied drunkly, "My son you good for nothing idiot, You better find him now, Najm, Or you'll see why they call me the Lord of Erikenstin!" Hans whisper-shouted at Najm's ear, Immediately Najm paled and looked at the King nervously, "Y-yes Sire" Once he said that he suggested looking for the Cascadian Premier as he left Charles for her to babysit, As he took lead to guide the King and General to the Premier, Najm prayed that he would find them there.

Hobbes

"Of course I know what a peasant is you nincompoop!" She sighed, trying to ignore the lecture. She didn't really notice Charles seeing his father, and was caught completely off guard by him trying to pull her off, almost immediately nearly tripping. She regained her footing and was pulled along by him, "Where-...Where are we going?" She asked, confused

Meanwhile, James and Minerva had been trying to comb the crowd "So...we left our daughter with some guy saying the kid he was with was a Prince in Rahidun, and the kid then runs off with our daughter.." James sighed, looking over and not seeing the two children due to the density of the crowd. They were nudged by a man who was revealed to be Najm. Not noticing the two men behind him, James remarked "So, are the two of you really royalty in Rahidun or was this some scheme to come after our daughter?" He snarked, His wife quickly noticed the two men behind him, recognizing the King. "James" She elbowed, and he acknowledged his presence. "Apologies, sir." They both sighed, looking around them in the crowd. Minerva finally spoke up "They wanted food so I went back to the line for them, They were right here for maybe two minutes, tops. I told Charles to watch Millie after this 'fine gentleman' ran off with James, Haven't seen them since." She sighed, "I'm assuming your here for simular reasoning, your majesty?"

Norgeras

Maria had left the Ricecrackers behind as she ducked below a cheerfull crowd trying to keep up with the two kids. She wasn't exactly sure what she got herself into, but her Motherly Instincts kicked back in when she noticed the panicked child runnign away as if being chased by an Honeybadger.

She tried to get him to stop before he ran into anyone, or get himself hurt, as she tried to half whisper half call for him: "Hey Charlie, whatever you are afraid of running away now will only make it worse. So take a deep breath and stop!" She shook her head and tried not to cause to much uproar: "And Miss Malificent. Try stop him." After a short moment of reconsideration, Maria added hushed:  "...gently."

Zee

"Well....uh..uhm..We have to find the kids! So, Lets split up!" Najm immediately changing the subject and speed walking to hopefully run away from everyone's wrath, Not even taking to steps he was dragged back by none other than King Hans, "Ho ho, Not so fast, You're coming with me, Youssef can go with these two fine couple" Once he finished he started walking to another direction to hopefully find the kids.

Once the scene unfolded infront of them, Youssef simply looked at the couple and said a simple "Yo"

Hickery Dickery Kidz running

Charles once again stopped not leaving the girl's hand as to be ready to run again, "We have to find Najm before my dad does, Or am toast!" He said looking at Millie "Were toast!"

Hobbes

The two looked at eachother, over to Youssef, then back at each other, shrugging. "Well, if I was two kids at a wedding, where would I be.." They shrugged,  "Mightaswise start looking near the deserts."

Elsewhere

"Nuh-huh! We were with my mom, we need to find her or I'm-We're dead!" She pulled against him, meakly being pulled along by the older Charles. "If my dad finds me I'm soooo dead! C'mon!" She pulled, "Who is Najm anyways?"

Norgeras

Maria hurried after them, trying to keep an eye on them and not loosing the little Pair: "Charlie. You are aware that whatever will happen, it will be a lot Worse when you keep trying to run? You aren't a little Baby boy. Take a deep breath and think! You won't find this Najm person if you keep running like a chicken without it's head." She took a deep breath as she started to feel her muscles sour. Running really wasn't her Sport. It had always been her sister Waltraud that was inheried their mothers Athletic Genes. She had inherted her Fathers terrible taste in one Night stands.

Zee

Gently trying drag her with him, Both of them evidently not gaining any dominance, "No! We have to find Najm! Is he with your father anyway!?" As he said that he realized someone was following them, He looked behind to see the lady from before and she was gaining on them quickly, "U-uh the lady from before is following us...Is she trying to stop us from finding Najm and your father" He said and was clearly trying to deduce something out of the situation...Is the lady trying to take us away..."Ah! Kidnapper!" He shouted pointing at the lady and running with Millie.

Hans and Najm

Najm was shaking the whole time, Why wouldn't he, Hans was killing him with gazes, If stares could kill, Najm would have a whole in his head.

Suddenly hearing a familiar shout, It was Charles! Hans clearly hearing it and not liking what it sounded like, "D-did he say a "Kidnapper" Said Najm nervously looking at Hans, Hans didnt wait for Najm and walked faster to the direction of the sound.

"I swear Najm, If i see ONE scratch on him, Ill make it one thousand worse on you!"

In East Moreland

The Sirinisian fast passenger ship Dispatch

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be.
- Douglas Adams

It seemed so odd to get her so quickly. The ship was fast, of course. And getting through here and there was easy. They were guided and they were assisted. They were expected. And Rosasoro was relieved, so relieved that she stopped rubbing her arms, to have been welcomed like this. But in the back of her dark mind, she felt like there was something up about this that she thought they might do something to her. Or worse, they could do something to her sister. But then she stopped herself like a traffic officer would by waving her arms at the vehicle with her colorful wrist banners and her whistle in her lips.

Rosasoro had to stop worrying. And she took three deep breaths and let them all go, watching them form little clouds of steam. She thought it was so adorable that she blushed like any cartoon girl would. Afterwards, she giggled and thought

It won't be so bad.

With her sister, she watched the grand ship of the East Morelanders as they boarded it from their ship. She was amazed at the reception and at everything else. The Marines look so awesome that she remembered her time as a reservist. Her sister could tell that she was remembering it by how she was being so nervous that her jaw had sunk to the bottom of the ocean.

In the end, the Sisrinisians made it to the reception and here they all go~

It wasn't uncommon for wedding receptions in East Moreland to get a little rowdy, but this was getting out of hand, as Freya and Alex were welcoming the various guests from across Mundus the noise level of various children was getting louder. Alex looked to see if it was Evie and Rhiannon but they were sat merrily on the mess halls dance floor playing patticake oblivious to the chaos. Alex was thinking that if they started the speeches it might restore a bit of order, everyone in their seats and the like but as he was about to head that way a voice was heard above the general din. "Ah! Kidnapper!"

It was like a switch had been pulled and several pairs of eyes turned the direction of the sound, a new sound filled the air as several Red Legionnaires fearing an attempt on the King or Freya had unsheathed swords, on the door had been a two man honour guard of Red Legionairres and they stepped into the doorway as though to block any attempt at a kidnapper to escape. "STAND STILL" one of the Legionnaires yelled as he scanned the room. Cpt. Robbie Peacock has spotted who had yelled about the kidnapper and made his way over, realising pretty quickly this was some sort of false alarm.

"Come with me" the menacing 6ft 2 tall Legionnaire motioned and took the three outside where the assault rifle wielding  duo stood close. "I've no idea what's going on" he loomed over them, "I'm assuming there is no kidnapping" he placed a firm hand on the two children's shoulder, "Either one of these yours?" he asked the woman without really listening and marching the children into the hall. "Ladies and Gentleman" he announced loudly, "Would someone like to claim these two" he looked around waiting for someone to come forward. "Please remember you are in a military building. Thank You" he said firmly.

Meanwhile Alex and Freya had been bundled into a side room while David had been put behind the large screen at the far end of the room. Now as it was clear they were permitted back into the room and Alex decieded it was probably time to get things underway. Archduchess Sophie (http://w11.zetaboards.com/Independent_Order_NS/single/?p=10043852&t=30221538) spotted Rosasoro by the door. "Hi, you lost?" she asked, "Come on, we can grab a seat." Sophie lead them into the mess halls dining room and found several seats picking one. "So where you from?" Sophie asked as she poured herself a glass of orange juice from the bottles arranged in the centre of the table. "Drink?" she offered a bottle of wine and the orange juice.

Maria was shaking, though she seemingly was more upset than frightened, as he answered the legionary: "No, they are not. I Tried to calm him and he kept running, searching for some Man named Natshim or close to that, from what i gathered he was afraid his father would find something out and then made this Fuzz." she shook her head, looking at the boy: "I told you, Charles, you'd be in Trouble if you kept running around screaming."

Matilda meanwhile had given up on searching for Edward again, and was making her way to a place in the Bar where she could observe the Wedding speech better, not being phased in the slightest by the Ruckus around them, as she chewed on some of the Pork.

Millie shook as the room burst into commotion, taking the opportunity to break free of Charles, rubbing her now red wrist. She looked around as the man pulled them aside, announcing their presence as her parents finally stepped forward. "What were the two of you doing?!?" exclaimed James, Minerva picking up her daughter and holding her. "Well, you two made a bit of a mess then." She looked over at Maria, "I'm going to assume you weren't trying to kidnap my daughter, miss." She laughed, obviously being sarcastic. "Say thank you to the kind lady, Millicent." She waved at Maria, "Thanks, miss..." She murmered, evidently embarassed.

The three waited for the King and company to arrive to claim their son. Evidently someone had a little bit of explaining to do.

Charles was evidently red, The embarrassment was too mch to bare, Wait scratch that, Charles began to recite his prayers once he saw his father approaching slowly, This habbit always killed Charles, As his father calmly walked to him with none other than the person he was running to find, Najm, Who was in the same position as Charles.

Once Hans got close to the and stopped infront of scene, Immediately Charles pointed at Najm and said "I swear its his fault!"

"W-what!?" Najm exclaimed suprised and couldn't say a thing as the King glared at him, Immediately shutting his mouth, The King smiled and looked at Maria and the Cascadian couple, "Well, I hope this inconvenience doesn't hurt anyone's feelings. especially as we are newly negotiating in our nations" Said Hans directed the second part to the Cascadian Couple, And ignoring the glaring contest thats happening between Charles and Najm behind his back, Finally noticing the child in the Premier's hand the King Grinned and looked at Charles, Immediately creeping him out, "Oh ho ho ho, I see whats going on in here, So thats why you didn't want me to find out, Ah dont worry Charles, Your secret is in good hands" Charles not understanding his father, Didn't complain, At least he wasn't getting any lecture or punishment.

"Well I offer my deepest apology to you Premier and your family, If it wasn't for Najm's gullible actions, We wouldn't be in this embarrassing situation. but alas in the end, Charles found a new friend! And thats fantastic!" Hans exclaimed to the couple, Also thanking the other lady for trying to take care of the children while no adult was present.

Maria decided to curtsy to the King: "Your majesty" , before turning towards the couple with a polite smile: "Until Charlie over there started to panic for some reason i can't grasp, we where just about to be introduced." She smiled down at Milly: "So your full Name is Millicent. How nice." Turing her gaze back up, so she could talk to all three of them: "My name is Maria, honored to meet you. To be honest, most of my Days i am just a local Baker, yet since my Mother showed up from Neu Uburzis..." She pointed over to the Naval Regalia dressed woman at the Bar with her head: "She wanted someone to accompany her for the Wedding. And some time with her Grandson. Though i did sent Alexander back home with his Grandfather. A wedding Party is no Place for an 16 Month Year old."

Peter somehow managed to stifle a chuckle, if it hadn't been for the seriousness of the situation it would have been laughable, but then again kids would be kids wouldn't they? It was to be expected that with this many VIP's that there would be a reaction and true to the expectation the Red Legion had obliged, though the apparent nature of the false alarm also meant that Sapyiat was also able to relax as she was technically speaking Peter's bodyguard in this scenario, not that the Emperor couldn't handle himself if need be he now possessed a more than suitable right handed punch. Not even Aeolia or Lamia would pull this Peter thought as the wedding reception settled down once, his identical twin four year old granddaughters had a habit of being practical jokers as the bodyguard of his son in law would attest.

With normality restored Peter, with Renee beside him, took the chance to approach Freya and Alex
"My warmest and most sincere congratulations to you both." he said shaking Alex's hand and giving Freya a friendly hug

"Blue always suited you." Sapyiat said when it was her turn to congratulate the happy couple she was thinking back to when they'd first met in Safraen that had been an eventful forty eight hours for her save the life of the then East Moreland Minister for Foreign Affairs plus extract one known terrorist and then go back in to back up East Moreland forces, she also hugged Freya before turning to Alex and doing the same, it was an odd situation for the three soldiers to find themselves in, usually it'd be a camp somewhere with drinks in hand but this? The look said it all About time, then as Mika gave Freya and Alex her congratulations Sapyiat spotted Rhiannon with Evie, it was a good chance to find out just what her shield daughter had been getting up to lately.

Minerva sat her daughter down. She was getting too big to carry, as much as she hated to admit it. "Well, you made a friend then, Millie?" The two shrugged, looking down at their daughter, who returned the favor. "I guess?.." She looked confused, still wrapping her head around the whole situation. At least she wasn't dead.

"I suppose all works out in the end then" Minerva shrugged, looking between the five or six of them. "Let's find a table then, yeah?"

East Moreland

The Reception

The Third Triarch and Her Companions

Rosasoro Dsatea and Kidreaeo walked into the reception together. Behind them, a female guard was assigned to each of them. Those guards did not hide their faces or disguise their eyes as they would if they were in the field. They technically were but since this was a highly regarded event, the Sirinisians instructed them not to. So they showed their expressions well. Focused, serious and absolutely deadpan.

Meanwhile, Rosasoro looked like she could turn everything white. Her face showed it all. And Kidreaeo attempted to relieve her sister by holding her arm. But it was as cold as the icy waters of Northern Sirinisi that she had to let go for a while before returning her touch to her. Rosasoro looked forward and she did not go astray, being so nervous.

Only when she saw that there were other guests and that there were guards and that their own guards were following them and that there were children too did she slowly feel relieved. And she no longer felt she could turn everything white.

Rosasoro and her sister were about to look for seats when a woman got in their way happily for them and offered them drinks. She sat them down while their guards remained behind by the entrance but keeping their eyes on them and on the rest of the guests.

To the right was Sergeant Smikyma and to the left was Sergeant Major Krikiki. The two wore the same khaki & desert sand colored uniforms, carried the same Ash machine pistols on their shoulder holsters and proudly wore the same badges of military and government honor on their chest pockets.

While they only wore Type C uniforms which were simply shorts, short-sleeved shirt plus combat vest and then fighting masks. They did not wear their fighting masks and instead let them hang around their necks.

Nevertheless, there really wasn’t anything too special about them. All they were for now was to guard the two.

Rosasoro and her sister sat with Sophie. When Sophie spoke to them and offered them drinks, the Triarch said to Sophie “I am from Sirinisi. My sister is with me.” She nodded to her and she said “Her name is Kidreaeo. Just call her Kid. And I am Rosasoro. Foreigners may call me Rosaso.” She then paused and said “Forgive me but I am quite nervous and new to all this. Who might you be?”

"Of course, Finally god, Lets get going" Charles, Najm and Hans were surprised, It was none other than Youssef, The most Frostiest person Charles knew, I guess he ticked him off when he yelled about the kidnapping, Hehe.

"Deugh, Right, Well, After you" Said Najm to King Hans, Hans didn't give him any attention and said, "Well then, As Youssef said, Lets get going indeed" He took the hand of Charles and started walking to find an empty big table for them all to sit and have a small chat, Counting on Maria, Who probably stayed here more than anyone of us, He let her take the lead.

Look at the bright side Najm, You'll get to talk to adults again, For now.

The three sat down opposite to the Rashidunians, spreading the food Minerva had fetched amongst them. Minerva and James taking refils on their wine from a passing waiter. "Quite the adventure the two of you had then" Minerva remarked, looking between Millicent and Charles. She giggled lightly as she looked between the two of them, seemingly having a motherly moment. She turned back to Hans and company, "So, what brings the fourof you to East Moreland then?" She turned to Maria, not missing a beat. "Forgive me, but how did someone of your standing end up a baker in East Moreland?"

Maria laughed slightly: "Technically i am not of high standing. I am more decoration, really. My mother needed someone to accompany her for the wedding so she picked me up. I didn't see or hear of her in the Last Three years. Really, i rarely know anything about here else that she used to be the Leader of a only Woman Mercenary band, and when the Uburzian Military allowed Woman seven years ago, they disbanded and she became an Admiral. In the end, think of a Stereotypical sailor, every harbor another, just in female, and you get my Mother Thirty years ago."
She nodded over to the woman sitting at the Bar, waiting for the Speech to happen: "If you want to talk to the important person, you#d have to talk to her. While we are on Topic..."
She grinned slightly and nodded to Charles: "Did you know Uburzis will Crown a kid Emperor on his 13th Birthday in November? He is barely much older than you."

510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high (https://images.vice.com/vice/images/articles/meta/2016/07/08/noahs-ark-museum-kentucky-chrisitan-creationist-ark-encounter-vgtrn-1468002972.jpg?crop=0.9991111111111111xw:1xh;center,center&resize=1050:*), by the grace of our Lord, it was truly a maginificent sight on the shores of this sea; after years of construction, budgetary issues and conflict with EM authorities, Noah's Ark 2.0 was finally finished. It was officially conscecrated and opened by Archibishop and Apostolic Nunciator Dodson to the public, first and formost us Apostolic Christians, both from ES and elsewhere in Mundus, as well the tiny, tiny minority of them residing in EM. Here I was, Sister Arilda, and cruising on the sea during this sea festival day with colleagues and friends in Christ. Besides the usual clergy, we had a lot of Apostolic youth onboard since we planned to incorporate their presence with us, all about sharing and caring, baby.

This would be the first time in a long time I ventured back to my beloved heathenish home known as East Moreland, whose aversion to Apostolic Christianity has been known among the Papacy for centuries, although a few known exceptional Morelander converts here and there have been written down, such as the only Morelander Pope up til' now Pope Adrian IV (c. 1100 – 1159, r. 1154 - 1159), as well as the late convertite and Blessed Cardinal John Henry Newman (1801-1890). I have mixed feeling about my presence here, which is what I wouldn't discuss about now. It was rather time to focus on all the fun activities onboard this ambitious naval project. Father Orlikowski, a popular parish priest among teens and young adult for his ability to combine faith and technology approached. "It's soon time for mass sister, we should get ready. I must say your country is absolutely stunning and terrific, even the food here is well suited to my taste!". I smiled and agreed with him, EM does have its charms after all. "Only thing missing are Apostolic Morelanders, but alas, it's for another time, perhaps in due time I should say...let's acquaint with some of these youngsters haha...".

I therefore also wondered if any of the other foreign delegates would come and visit us?

"Damn...", it was the Ambassador who seemed a bit disappointed. The three of us asked him what was wrong, and he told us that he was going to just announce that mass was going to be delayed due to the late arrival of holy communion bread and wine. "Well what can you expect from a country such as this? Oh lord, what should we do while waiting for it...". We were eventually running out of patience when Bishop Hayes came up with a brilliant thing to do. "How about this, tell the captain that we'll head to Portworth Dockyards Officers Mess, Princess Freya and Alex Redfern just got married and surely would appreciate our presence there, a blessing perhaps if your people wouldn't find it offensive, right Sister?". Even though I liked the sound of that, I questioned him since we would just show uninvited, although the three holy gentlement assured me that it would be fine. "Well ok then, as long as the tons of teen we have onboard know how to behave...".

The ambassador signalled the captain to raise up the anchor head straight back to the coast and specifically the Officer's Mess where the rest of the wedding reception was being held, while he also contacted the delivery service to meet us up there instead. "Noah's surely proud of us Sister...." remarked father Orlikowski, "as well as the youngsters here, this has certainly be a great spiritual trip so far, don't you think?". I replied that I was surprised that the presence of the holy spirit was even string in this heathenish country despite the past. "You're right Father, it's worth it, even from me, to judge countries such as these, goodness and kindness one will find here as well..."

At last we docked at the harbour area of the Officer's Mess and with the ever vigilant Guardians of St. Peter's Throne (http://iiwiki.com/images/6/6b/PopeJuliusGuardians.png) covering our steps, we proceeded down the wooden ramp and into the area where the esteemed guests were with the groom and bride. "Good evening and God Bless Princess Freya and Major Redfern, on behalf of Pope Peter II we would like to congratulate you on your successful wedding may your lives intertwine with each other til your last days where you'll eventually join the glorious afterlife and live on for all eternity...". I stood among the three gentlemen and wondered if the couple would recognize me...

Things had certainly got busier, people had since the incident funnelled into seats. Over one side of the room Sophie was sat with Rosaso, "I'm technically an Archduchess I'm the King's niece, my birth mother was Princess Joanna, she used to be our faiths High Priestess but was....well..."It had been well over a year now but the word "murdered" skill didn't come easy, "She's not with us anymore" Sophie said instead, "But I'm not really a good royal" Sophie laughed trying to lighten her mood, "see I was adopted at birth, didn't become an Ironside so to speak until I was 17 so a few years ago now. It's still a bit weird for me, I much prefer my sports career, but I'm joining the Air Force next week as a dog handler." she took her phone out and showed the guest a picture of a six week old husky, she'd been sent it by the training instructor as "Bandit" was issued his special dog boots. "We're going to become a protection detail" Sophie was actually looking forward to it and doing her bit for the nation.

The happy couple were still greeting newcomers and the Achkaerin delegation had arrived, Freya was glad that Serenity wasn't here and thanked Peter for his congratulations before catching up with Sapyiat. "I'm sure Rhiannon will be happy to see you, that's if you can get her away from chocolate and playing, too many sweets" Freya had seen her niece sneaking goes with the chocolate fountain including filling up her finished squash glass.

Next to arrive were some people Freya failed to recognise, but there was one advantage of having Alex by her side, he seemingly knew everyone, a throw back to his days as Chief of Royal Household. "Archbiship Dodson, from The Ecclesiastical State, Ambassador" Alex whispered to his wife as the group approached and waited for the man to finish talking. "Thank you" Alex said extending a hand, "Lovely to see you Ambassador" he added before waiting to be introduced.

"Yes thank you" Freya added, "I hope Helus grants you a pleasant evening" she added as the guests headed into the main room.

"Hey....it's time" Brigadier Kelly poked his head around the door and motioned for them to follow him. "ROOM!" Kelly's voice echoed around making all the Red Legionnaires instinctively snap to attention as the familiar voice boomed above the music. "Please stand to great the Bride and Groom" the sound of chairs being pushed back filled the air for a brief second as Kelly drew his own sword and marched ahead of the couple escorting them to the head table. Kelly took a seat next to Redfern while the King sat at Freya's side. The room was arranged in a horse shoe with the bride and groom, their party sat either side of them. The long arms that extended the length of the mess hall had seats on the inside and outside of the horseshoe, the Morelanders present telling guests it was traditional for males to sit on the outside while females on the inside. As people retook their seats a young army officer, a cadet dragged from the festival entered carrying an ornate drinking horn and stand and placed it on a pedestal at the far end of the hall, he turned and marched smartly towards the couple saluted and then took an envelope from his tunic pocket.

"Your Highness, Major Redfern" he addressed the couple, "It is an honour to present you with the token of our best wishes on your wedding." he handed the envelope over and proceeded to step back, saluting once more before neatly about turning and returning to the cup. "It was spoken" he said loudly enjoying his moment at a tradition he'd never actually seen before, this wasn't a normal part of the wedding feast but was considered a military tradition and as such a mess hall deserved it. He'd spent the last hour trying to remember what he needed to say. "That following the Battle of Greenflowers those men and women who had marched from all corners of East Moreland to defend freedom and oppose tyranny meet for a meal, many knowing that having carved out their nation they would never meet again. As they feasted they began to toast from a drinking horn, and as each set off on their journey home they raised the horn one final time, made a toast for the future, drank from it and filled it for the next. Tradition says a young 12 year old who had thrown his lot in with King Robert was the first to leave, fearful his mother would scold him for his long abscence." The mess steward placed a bottle of wine next to the horn and the cadet poured some into the horn. "It is now tradition that all military feasts have a toast from a young soldier. It is then tradition that as you leave you too will step forward, make a toast for the future and then drink. Therefore I propose a loyal toast" he waited for people to stand, all but the King knowing what was to come. "The King" the Morelanders present turned to face the King who just nodded towards the youngster who then drank from the horn before adding more wine and then leaving his ceremonial role done.

As people sat the King stood, "Thank you" he began. "Traditionally the father of the bride does this however today its my honour to do so." He unfolded a napkin he'd hastily written some notes on, "Freya is my little sister, growing up I believe she actually frustrated our parents by not exactly being Princess material. While our elder sister Joanna was into dolls, pretty dresses and music, Freya prefered joining me playing in the woods, pretending to fight Dragons, and occasionally falling out of trees. She has been at many times in my life my best friend, and equally as many times a pain in the ass. However I wouldn't swap her for anyone else, whenever times have been bad she has been the one there to put me straight, and when needed make the hard choices I should have. I'm delighted that she has today been married to a man I know she loves more than anything and that despite all the heart ache not wearing dresses caused my Mother she looks stunning today. Alex already knows that I think he's a brave soul, taking Freya on as a wife needs bravery because I can guarentee he'll never have a quiet life ever again. So to Alex I say thank you for making my sister happy and I wish you both a long happy life......now lets get this first dance done and then we can get drunk." the King smiled as he sat down and Alex and Freya took to the centre of the room. Music began playing and awkwardly alone on the dance floor they began to slowly dance, Freya motioned to Evie to come and join them and she took hold of one of each adults hand as she joined in. David was on his feet now moving down the tables, a glass of wine already in his hand. As the chorus of the song was reached he began whispering to the guests, "Go on, join in" he urged as he headed the length of the mess hall with one more tradition to fulfil, a military one not a wedding one.

"Miss Jarrett" he approached Rebeccca, Freya's Chief of Household. "I need your help, the King in a mess dance is supposed to dance with an NCO, it's either you or that Sgt.Thomas fella from Red Legion and there are enough silly stories of me marrying King Leonard" the King extended a hand and Rebecca took it and followed the King as the dancefloor began to fill.

Rosasoro Dsatea could only say "Oh. I'm so sorry." When she heard about Sophies mother. As the conversation moved on and it got to the point that the Arch-Duchess showed them the dog. Rosasoro tried not to wince as she remember that she had a fear of dogs. She awkwardly smiled and opened her mouth to say an OK but her adopted sister interrupted, saying "Oh my! He is so adorable! And that is great news! I really hope that you two would be a great protection detail."

Rosaso felt so embarrassed she felt her entire body become so frozen. She could not even breath until her adopted sister laughed and asked "And by the way, what sports do you play?"

Unfortunately, the two officials of Sirinisi could do anything more when the time came that they had to pay attention to the wedding. They did their best to do what the others do but when the time came for them to dance, only the adopted sister went out to look for a partner, happily laughing as she went to ask some to dance with her. Rosasoro awkwardly and embarrassingly stayed at her seat, blushing so much and feeling like she had a fever from all this.

Why, why, why did I have to be the one to go? She thought. But she could only remember that nobody, not even her, could simply refuse the First Triarch.

"Blegh that sucks, They made a kid lead their home" Said Charles but whispered yhe last part to his father whose in turn had a chuckle, Najm finally tuned down on the tensity of stares he got from Youssef and Hans, Finally calming down he wanted to start a conversation that could put the other two on ease, Yet there was nothing that could cross his mind at all.

"I might not know your nation's customs, But crowning a 13 years old to the throne? Sounds like a regency problem to me" Youssef said, Breaking the silence and directing the question to Maria.

Maria shrugged, leaning back: "Not /my/ home. From what i know the empress and her older children died in an accident while the to be emperor was at his boarding school. You'd have to ask my mother for Details, she is one of the top three Advisers to the Regent. My home is celebrating a wedding."

Her lips raised to a smile, turning towards the Ceremony: "Who knew thy had a drinking Tradition, then again - they are soldiers."

Turning her head spotting her mother chatting up someone at the Bar she nodded to the others at the Table: "You'd have to invite her over if you want to talk matters of state. Aren't your Nations Neighboring each other?"

"Orion, yes, the soon-to-be crowned emperor." Minerva shrugged, sipping more of her wine. "Tragic, the accident really was." She shrugged, looking around the table before her daughter commented. "Hey, that's why i'm glad I'm not royalty...being forced to run a country really takes the fun out of it." causing laughter all around.

"Well, indeed, quite ironic we all ended up at a table anyways given our proximity. Perhaps you could fetch your mother to join us?" Minerva turned to Maria, nodding.

"Can I steal him from you for a couple of minutes?" someone asked as Peter and Renee sat watching the dancing, the voice belonged to Celine Tyler (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=49.msg602#msg602), one of Peter's closest friends
"By all means, I'll wait for my dance." Renee said

Celine and Peter took to the dance floor, it had been a few years since they'd done this sort of thing - the last time had been the Battle of the Shaw Anniversary a few years earlier, Iona had been ill at the time so Celine had stepped in, there was another irony to this in that it had been Celine who had taught Peter how to dance in the run up to his first wedding and now that he was set to marry a musical theatre star in Renee she wanted to make sure that the Emperor knew what he was doing.
"What is it with Royal brides and blue dresses?" Celine asked
"Tell me about it Iona wore blue, Serenity wore blue, Freya's wearing blue." Peter said
"Think they'll ever bury the hatchet?" Celine asked
"That'd be a sign of the apocalypse wouldn't it?" Peter asked, Celine grinned
"They're more alike than they'll ever admit though, two stubborn strong willed women." Celine said
"Your daughter seems to be having fun." Peter said, half smiling as he nodded to where Celine's daughter Yuki (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=49.msg1097#msg1097) was dancing with a member of the Red Legion, in truth this was Sgt Olly Thomas though as far as the Achkaerinese guests went only Sapyiat and Mika would know that, it was quite amusing to see Yuki dancing in her naval uniform though "She over the Kieran issue?"
"I think so." Celine said

Elsewhere Sapyiat was amusing herself watching Rhiannon quite obviously continue to take refills from the chocolate fountain. Picking up a glass from the table Sapyiat chuckled to herself as she followed Rhiannon's lead the next time around and made sure she got there first.
"Hello Rhiannon." Sapyiat said when a somewhat curious Princess looked up to see who was 'stopping' her filling up "You've grown plenty since I last saw you, and I hear you've been learning a thing or two or so your Auntie Freya tells me."

/Get your Arse over here, Mother. You got Your Neighbors Prince with King and some Big shots form Cascadia with their young daughter at this Table./

Maria didn't even bother standing up, sending a simple Text to her mother before leaning back, awaiting the admiral making her way over with a cocktail in hand: "Beautiful wedding, don't you agree" Matilda Eidmeier said, as she approached the Table: "And i assume this is the Rascal we have to thank for the Tumult earlier?" she nodded to Charles as she Saluted to the King: "Your Highness." then offering her hand to the Cascadians: "Good day, you too."

While Bishop Hayes and Father Orlikowski were busy chatting with dignitaries, Archbishop Dodson took the opportunity to have some fun at the dance floor and invited Sister Arilda to be his dance partner, who became quite surprised yet honored at the request. "Sister, may I warn you that the moves are a hit rust, so forgive me for any errors.". As they danced, Arilda didn't think that the Archbishop was that bad, he still had the grooves in him. "Seems to me that what you said isn't true at all, the Lord has blessed you with finer moves than any other man Archbishop."

Pretty soon the ES representatives had to venture back to Noah's Ark 2.0 to celebrate their mass, but for now enjoyed the time they had with the other foreigners in a foreign country that has so far shown such hospitability and respect.

The Third Triarch of Sirinisi was so tense that she thought her body would suddenly go stiff and then collapse on the floor like any person who's been through a lot of teasing or even a bit of social pressure. Like, she thought her mind would just flip the switch.

But nothing happened.

Rosasoro got control of herself and said to herself You will calm down. You can do it, Rosaso! So she stood up and looked around for someone to talk to, even though her hands were up, her fingers were trembling and she was wandering around without an aim, opening her mouth at people she passed by only to close her lips and to move on to another and repeat.

Please, please, please, don't let me hang dry like this. I'm not socially awkward! I shall find a person to talk to...or to dance with

And like something snapping, she stomped her right foot and straightened herself as she would when she was still a reservist and suddenly realized that...

She has fucked up.

"Would you like to dance with me Triarch Rosaso? I could use a bit of exercise from time to time *chuckles* ". It was Father Orlikowski who already finished talking to some of the dignitaries and didn't know what else to do besides waiting for the mass they've waited for a few hours overdue. This would also be a perfect opportunity for him to gain some valuable contacts for the Ecclesiastical State. Orlikowski was as previously mentioned quite known and admired among the Catholic youth since he combines faith with modern pop culture and trendy things, an avid Star Wars and Lego fan he has a growing media base with loads of followers on the common social media platforms.

The Triarch of her people, the Sirinisians, was...surprised! She was not expecting a man in white, especially not a man who was a Susurian (Christian)! Nevertheless, she nodded quietly and said "Yes, I would like to. You know my name. Thank you. What about you? What is yours?" She then paused, blushing. Then she explained "Forgive me, I just got here."

Afterwards she rubbed her arm and then approached him, gently but swiftly placing her right hand on his shoulder and her left hand waited for his hand to take it.

"I must admit, this sort of thing is quite fun! You're actually the first dance partner that I feel quite comfortable with, I'm not sure why but the Lord and his mysterious ways work in all directions I suppose, hehe. So what brings you here to this lovely Morelander wedding, has this got to do with your nation creeping out of the dark hole and regaining international contacts?" Father Hubert asked curiously while letting the mood and atmosphere guide them with the dancing process itself.

OOC- Cheers Dave

Anuoshka Pelagiya sat enjoying the festivities with her husband Tobias, he was a keen dancer but wasn't sure of the tradition of such a moment as was keen not to mess up, after all being a Duke from Lodja meant he was probably the best representative the nation had here, and of course he hoped to improve his daughters standing in the eyes of King David. "Darling" he began whispering in Anuoshka's ear as the music began to slow from the first dance. "I believe with the abscence of our daughter it's your duty to monopolise the King" he pointed to what seemed to be several young ladies jockying to be able to dance with the King. In the mind of the Pelagiya family each of them could be a potential rival to their daughter, clearly if Stasya was here she'd be the only thing the King was interested in but obviously that wasn't possible.

"Of course" Anuoshka kissed her husband and wandered onto the dancefloor making a bee line straight for the King, ignoring those twisting and circling around them. "Your Majesty" she timed her approach to perfection, the last note playing just as she bowed. "I wonder if I may dance with you, seems my poor husband has twisted his ankle" she shook her head in disappointment. The King shifted awkwardly , he wasn't much of a dancer anyway but knew such events required a certain level of protocol and a foreign Duchess was someone he couldn't really turn down, especially someone who knew about him and Stasya. The King extended a hand as the music started again and Anuoshka put her hand on his shoulder. "Very muscular" she commented watching how the King blushed as they began to preambulate. "I see why my daughter finds you so attractive, she has good taste" she added loving making this high ranking man feel awkward. "I do hope that none of those lovely ladies waiting to dance there are disappointed that your sharing my daughters bed" she gestured with her head as a few furious looking ladies seemed to be watching them. "Oh don't blush so much Your Majesty" she chuckled, "Us Lodjains aren't as up tight as many, Sessifet tells us that sharing our bodies with people we admire and love is a good thing, beauty is after all something people should enjoy and you and my daughter make a beautiful couple"

"Erm...thank you" David mumbled as he tried his best to stop himself looking more awkward on the dancefloor than he normally was.

"It would be wonderful to talk to the Admiral now, Maybe we could work out a meeting with one of your advisors today for the future." Said King Hans smiling at Maria and waiting for the Admiral to come and hopefully start a conversation to kill this agonizing silence, After he said that Najm was still having his usual glaring contest with Charles and Youssef minding his own business and being the Anti-Social person he usually stays as, As the four minded their businesses and slowly ate their food, They waited for what could be an interesting conversation with a High Official from Neu-Uburiz, Their neighbor and close sister nation with the complex cultures mildly intertwining into a good neighborhood.

As Admiral Matilda arrived, King Hans stood up to greet the foreign official, Prompting the other three to do the same, While the Admiral saluted Hans, The King Simply shook her hand and greeted her, Laughing awkwardly at the mentioning of the incident done by Millicent and Charles, He sat down while the other three greeted her and promptly sat down with the rest of the party.

"Its really nice to see you here, Admiral, A real pleasure indeed, We were just talking about the Neu-Uburiz Crowning of a new Emperor and your involvement, We'd love to hear about your side of the story." Said Najm finally opening his mouth since they found the two kids, He was most thankful that the King didn't cook him or do anything right now, Although he was scared of what to come when they get back to Rashidun, Boy he was right to be scared...

The three Cascadians shrugged, Minerva and James sharing more wine as they noted Maria seemed to be texting someone to themselves. Upon the fine Admiral's arrival, Minerva returned the handshake on behalf of the family."Quite indeed." Minerva nodded at the troublemaking remark, pulling the seat out between herself and Maria. "Please, take a seat. We'd love to hear. Plus we got wine." She laughed. Across the table, Millicent noticed Charles awkwardly looking at Najm and kind of dozed off. Seizing the moment, she delivered a rather harsh poke underneith the table, looking innocent by the time he turned to notice what had happened.

Triarch Rosaso blushed and as she danced smoothly with him, confessing that this was the first time she danced with a foreigner, she said to him "What has brought me here was an invitation. I was surprised that it was open even to our nation. So I came here also because the First Triarch, my mentor, told me to go for him. And so here I am." The crowd was shocked by what happened, and the ensuing confusion allowed the family to exit silently. Following the Quintelian protocol, the Queen was sent in a different craft from her family. The Ministers were sent and were told to not inform anyone about the condition. The ships were to remain

OOC: The next parts of this post is not part of the Festival of Sail so it's ok if you don't read it. It's just to conclude my story arch.

Back in Lungsod City, she was placed in an Intensive Care Unit for two days before she passed away because of another cardiac arrest. The family mourned and received the heirlooms. Her son and daughter received $10,000,000 each while Carlos, still being a prisoner receives none. In accordance to tradition, the King would receive at least $1,000 and an heirloom, so he received only $1,000 and a letter. The letter read:

Quote
To my ungrateful husband,

Let's not beat around the bush; FUCK YOU. Do you not think I know your affairs with Sofia Aliena (Minister of Foreign Affairs)? I want either the three of us dead when we go to East Moreland. Now, if I die, you will only receive this letter along with the minimum amount of money tradition would allow me. Let this be a lesson to you.

Singed,

A shameful wife

Matilda acknowledged the presence of her daughter before taking the offered seat: "It really is a rather straightforward situation. My late friend Empress Alexandra died in a tragic incident together with her husband and their two oldest children. A lethal dose of Lead had been contaminating their drinking water in the Mountain vacation Cabin. Since her youngest child was lucky enough to be stuck in his Boarding School Orion was saved from the fatal Death. Our Inheritance Laws rule that the oldest living Child of the last Emperor Inherits at the Moment of Death, and in this Case it was Orion, since Alexandra was the last of her Family to actually die."
She sipped from a Glass of whine and took a momentary break, looking back at the wedding celebration: "His inheritance is not entirely undisputed, as his oldest Brother had two daughters with his wife as well. Considering they are even younger than Orion though, most of the Senate stand with the law. His Cousin Albrecht is currently the Regent, as Alexandra's Brother Kurt had turned down the Position, and Albrecht was working closely with her for some years now. On Paper Orion is already the Emperor, yet the Coronation is only to be held on his 13th Birthday. It's tradition and Law to keep the Children from the Royal Family out of the Public until that age."

A warm smile crossing her Face she kept watching Charles for a moment, before commenting: "Though talking about my Friend Alexandra, be grateful she wasn't your Mother." Matilda mused with a wide grin: "She would have tanned your hide on the Spot for causing such a Ruckus." As she looked between the King and his offspring, she mused a thought in silence, before addressing the Cascadians: "Our nation has a habit of being very strict wit boys, and giving young women a bit of an easier Treat. They usually only get extra chores and some activity bans."

"Well, from what i have heard, Alexandra was always there for her children though." Maria added to her Mothers speech, not without a sting of bitterness in her voice.

As the adults continued to talk about...well..adult stuff...Charles was entirely fixated on Najm and furiously glaring as horrifically a child face can be, When suddely he felt a thing harshly kick his feet, Jumping in his seat and drawing attention from both Najm and Youssef, They assumed the kid was simply playing tricks to them, Youssef ignoring Charles and listening to the adults talk, And Najm shooting Charles with a look that said BEHAVE.

Looking at the direction of where the poke came from, Charles was met with none other than Millicent, Finally he immediately accoused her, In his head, And looked for the right moment to strike, Giving a hard poke into her right knee and sitting Innocent and acting as if he was listening to the adult.

"A harsh reality, Indeed, But the people of Neu-Uburiz can go through their hardship, They are famed for their stubbornness for a reason.." King Hans said while keeping the last part to himself, Hans did notice something in the end of his field of view, Charles glaring at the Cascadian girl, Millicent, If i recall correctly, Once Hans turned to see whats the problem, He was met with the face of his son, Innocently looking at his father, Hans was creeped out for a second there but dismissed the incident as his mind playing tricks with him.

Millicent jumped lightly, her ten-year-old attention span having already all but forgotten the fight she had started. It suddenly shot back into her mind with the pain of being roughly kicked underneith the table. She quickly straightened herself out, shooting a glare at the child across the table, before returning to her mother who was  looking down at her.

"What's wrong?"

"Nuffin, Mawm." she replied. Her mother shrugged and looked back  to Matilda and company, "And at what age does he assume the throne without any regency?"

"Stubborn?" Matilda raised an eyebrow while sipping some water: "I didn't even realize we were known at all anymore. As to the regency, it can end as soon as Orion turns Sixteen, or up to him being twenty one. Depending on how he and Prince Albrecht make this work out. In the end if a rift between the two was to rise it would spell trouble, but really. They are Birds of a Feather."

Maria meanwhile had kept her eyes on Charles and Milliscent, a sly smile hushing over her lips: "I wonder, since i can only assume the Coronation will have a Large Feast as well, do you think they will have a children's table or have them stay with their parents? I mean look at those two, we already seem to bore them again."

"Oh of course I would like to be your friend and drink wine, it's part of being a priest after all *chuckles*, although I think I must hold a mass along with the bishops first, it'll just take one hour.". Father Hubert along with the Apostolic Nuncio, the Bishop and Sister Arilda went aboard the Ark to celebrate the mass after their sought out items already arrived. However during the mass, the Father was thinking a lot about Rosasoro while making his usual prayers to the Lord.

After about an hour it ended, the delegates returned to the feast where people were still active, to their relief. Father Hubert immediately set out to find the Triarch, and he could already see that she was waiting for him at the bar. "Well I think we can have our wine and small talk?! :)

The Third Triarch nodded and said "Yes, yes! Please, let us." And so she made sure that they had their wine and even some snacks. She then told him as she served him his own wine "So...I wonder how you think of this festival. It sounds so exotic and exciting! So many ships...oh my~"

"Oh boy..." Whispered Charles as he heard the scary soldier lady explain how they will put him with kids that varied in age in the celebration, Don't get him wrong, It was definitely better than hearing adults talk all-day long about things he simply doesn't want to hear, I mean he'd prefer the company of kids his age over his father's watchful eyes and Najm's peculiar personality, But, Alas, He didn't really like to play kid's games or their common behavior, He always preferred weird over normal.

And as Charles was groaning to himself, Najm let out an audible sigh of relief as she mentioned an area just for kids, "Finally somewhere where i can enjoy my time." Said Najm to himself while Youssef simply stared at the adult-whiner with A-not-so-amused look, "It sounds like a good idea to me, As long as there are people looking after them" Chimed King Hans in, Inputing his opinion on the idea while sipping some tea that the waiter has prepared to him, Sighing in delight the royalty simply felt relaxed with the warm liquid passed through him, Sending warm sensations that soothed his old bones while he waited for the Cascadians to put their opinions and share of interest into the conversation.
