Title: The papal visit to New Colovia
Post by: New Colovia on February 04, 2018, 04:21:42 PM
The New Colovian goverment had prepared for almost 2 weeks to make sure that the meeting between the Pope and Prexidenti Verithi was both safe and pleasant.
As soon as the Pope landed in Anvil a large welcome committé was set up, a large civilian crowd despite the country having almost no catholics in it.
The drive through the streets of Anvil was uneventful without any interferences or stops.

It wasn't long until the convoy arrived at the so called "Palace of the Republic" in central Anvil. Inside there was a mix of both modern technology and old architecture.
Eventually the Pope arrived to the office of the President. The president stood up and walked towards the pope extending his hand in a greeting.

Travelling in the VC-25, aka Papal plane (http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2016/12/09/09/3B2EABF800000578-4014420-The_aircraft_contains_a_conference_and_dining_room_kitchens_a_co-a-5_1481275513261.jpg), his holiness Pope Peter II "The Young Pope" was on his way to one ES', once again, closest nations in terms of relations, New Colovia. Like with Pardclinnia, Quintelia and Muneski (to a xertain extent), a former colony based on vision of re-transforming wicked sinners into the very best of mankind is quite a bit something else these days...successful and mostly well-functioning, save for those few years of Catholic pursecution, and yeah another nation worth for TYP to visit and renew some sort of pact.

Riding in the Papal State Car known as the Beast (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidential_state_car_(United_States)#Current_model), the Papal delegacy quickly made its way out of the airport of Anvil heading towards the Presidential Palace to meet the highly esteemed and respectable leader Prexidenti Verithi; the crowds were apparently quite well-stocked with people of all creeds and colors, it wasn't every day one of the most influential and powerful religious and secular leaders visited their nation whatsoever. TYP waved through the window to the onlookers, his name was being shouted by in awe and inspiration, clearly even here he was popular.

As soon as he reached the palace itself, he was escorted inside the complex, being shown to a room where the President was standing there with his hand stretched out in a greeting and friendly tone. "An honor and pleasure to finally get to meet you your excellency, I'd say it's time to refreshen our relations...tell me my friend, what would you like to talk about first?" the Pope said while proceeding to sit down.

The president sat down and put some of his paperwork aside in a neat and orderly stack to make room on his desk. The president seemed a bit lost in thought, most likely from the stress in his job.
"Well your exellency, it is an honour to meet you aswell, howver no need to refer to me as "your excellency"" he said with a slight but noticable Colovian accent.
"Well, firstly I think it's time to further improve relations between our countries. We are both moral nations aswell and our people are pious. Even if our convictions in certain areas differ I think that further cooperation could benefit us both. Would you not agree?"

"Indeed my dear friend Verithi, however I would also in return inform you firstly that there's no need to refer to me as 'your excellency'...it's 'your holiness'" The Young Pope said with a smile. To be as frank as possible, TYP was a bit confused and dazed about what the President wanted to talk about, usually the counterpart would be very clear about their intentions but this time it didn't seem to be the case. "Well Mr. President, I've been trying to decipher every motive and desires you've been trying to promote but I have to admit that your character makes it hard to do so. Without further ado, I'll then begin with the points ES wishes to see through and done with New Colovia. "Diplomacy; these are some of the points of a proposed treaty I already drafted back home".

(1) The parties agree to maintain active embassies with each other. If summoned an ambassador shall present themselves to the host government within twenty four hours of the summons.

(2) Either party may request a twelve hour extension upon receipt of the summons should a level of seniority be required due to the issue concerned.

(c) Is able to fund the duration of their stay.

The president nodded in agreement "What you have presented remains fair your holiness and I would sign such a treaty, my point for you coming here was actually to discuss a treaty like the one you have proposed" he sighed "sadly it seems that wasn't delivered. We've had a few problems with people intentionally sabotaging, luckily it's much better now than it was before." the man seems to get lost in thought for a bit, his eyes almost glazing over. "You will have to excuse me your holiness, I've had a lot of work on my hands recently and my brain wanders off from time to time." He opens his mouth as if to utter something but he is interupted by a door opening.

A secretary walks in with a tray with a jug of water and two glasses on it. She smiles and nods at the two heads of state before putting down the tray and walking out. The president turns his gaze back to the pope again and speaks. "As I was going to say. I would like to add a further point to this treaty, if one may call it that. If one of our nations are attacked by one or two hostile nations, military aid in some form should be sent to whichever country is being attacked.  Direct military involvement is not neccesary, but some form of aid would be.  Would your holiness agree to this or renegotiate?"

Before TYP continued, he just noticed the good-looking secretary walking into the room and serving them some drinks. As she left the room, he leaned closer to the President and whispered: "She got a nice ass, that I must admit..." As he then shook his head to recalibre into the right setting once more, he looked down on his paper and tried to look for what the President was talking about. "My friend, you're a quick and smart thinker, as you can notice here that's what I also included in this possible treaty..."

(11) Both parties shall desist from any act of violence, any aggressive action, and any attack on each other, either individually or jointly with other powers. With the exception of other existing mandates.

(12) An armed attack on one party shall be considered an attack on both parties.

(13) The parties agree to share military intelligence that is believed to be in the interest of the safety and security of the other, so long as doing so does not compromise the safety or security of themselves.

(14) The parties shall take part in an annual naval and military training exercise between their respective armed forces.

(15) The parties agree to an annual officer exchange between their armed forces to promote co-operation between their armed forces.

(16) In the interest of security and mutual defense the two parties give permission and access to military vessels through each of the other High Contracting Party's territorial waters under the following conditions

(a) An official communique shall be sent to the other Party's High Command as to the reason why military vessels are entering territorial waters.
(b) Prior to entering territorial waters a naval route, compliment, and plan shall be sent. Vessels shall not deviate from planned routes unless requested by the other party or it is in response to a SOS call.
(c) Neither of the two parties shall conduct military maneuvers in the others Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) without prior authorization.
(d) Continual communication shall be maintained while military vessels of one party are within the territorial waters of the other.
(e) The vessels shall at all times except where otherwise explicitly accounted for act in accordance with the Fair Seas Concordat

The president also takes a small peek with the pope. Eventually letting out a slight laugh of enjoymentat TYP's comment  as soon as she closed the door.  "Of course, Colovian women are known for their well proportioned... shall we say assets?. But to more important matters your holiness. There is no need for attempts at flattering me, but I thank you for atleast being polite."

The president continues to ponder the agreement aswell as what negative effects but also what positive effects it might bring. Finally after a moment of pondering he opens his mouth to speak. "And is there any sort of catch to this me and my countrymen have to be aware of? Does your holiness and his Ecclassical State have any sort of notable hostilities that are kept under the radar that I should be aware of? I do not wish to accidentally sign an agreement that leads us into a costly war." He waits for a bit before continuing. "No offense of course, I hope you don't misunderstand me your holiness, I don't think you would betray me and you have no reason to cheat me. But sometimes information gets a bit mixed up and lost."

The president pours a glass of water for himself, taking a sip before grabbing the glass jar and holding it in such a way to offer TYP a glass of water. "Some of the best water in the country, I reccomend trying it atleast once" he said with a smile.

"Oh not at all Mr. President, The Ecclesiastical State hasn't been to war in ages, at least as large and brutal since the Great War ravaged across Mundus. We do posess one of Mundus' largest and most well-equippmed militaries certainly, but nowadays it's mostly for peacekeeping duties and the primary objective has otherwise been to protect the Holy Seat of St. Peter from those corrupted by Satanic forces trying to disrupt God's Chosen Kingdom on Earth. If I were you I wouldn't worry at all...

I'm actually planning to dispatch some forces to the Phuebran Civil War (https://independentorder.net/index.php?topic=197.0) to deal with the Islamic terrorists destroying that once peaceful country...one of its most vulnerable targets being our dear Christian brothers and sisters who need all the help they can, as we currently speak we're coordinating our next moves with our Achkaerinese and Vaguzian allies...and well the elements of the legitimate Phuebran government, but what do I know, who knows what time might tell us...Finally to somehow wrap this topic up, I see this more as an defensive alliance, i do hope it's written clearly that it doesn't have to do with it being an offensive one...it's only valid if either of us is attacked by a hostile nation."

The president nodded in understanding. "Of course your holiness, I understand that we won't gain an offensive edge in this, we are however very lucky to have such a powerful country come to our aid if neccesary in a defensive war however."

The president continues... "And I've heard of the terrible war in Phuebra, there is a lot of hope from my citizenry to join said war in some capacity. So perhaps our peacekeeping forces may meet one day in the near future to fight together... But now, Is there anything further we can discuss or that you wish to bring up or can we sign the agreement?"

"Actually there are a few more, last sections in this drafted treaty that are still up for discussion...I like to take things slow and not rush fast through them, for better clarity."

Section II - Trade

(7) The parties pledge to trade fairly with each other and to respect the lawful commerce of each party.

(8) Neither of the parties shall create taxes, limits, bans, or quotas on the goods or services of the other party on basis of their origin from the other party, with exception to such taxes, limits, bans, or quotas created by international organizations of which the parties are members thereof.

(9) The parties recognize the right of free commercial navigation through the waters and airspace of the other party, with adherence to local laws and procedures.

Section IV - Special Agreements

(16) There shall be an annual sporting event held between the two nations in the sport of ...

(17) The Ecclesiastical State shall annually donate $1 billion to the Republic of New Colovia

Section V - Miscellaneous

(18) This treaty shall be in force until either party withdraws from it. After which the treaty shall cease to be in force ninety days after notice is given. Notice shall be given in writing.

(19) The present treaty shall be ratified within the shortest possible time. The agreement shall enter into force as soon as it is signed by both parties.

"I'll let you have the honors to decide what sport our nations shall partake in yearly"

The president nodded as he listened to each point that the young pope brought up and explained to him. The president looked at the foreign leader and made a hand gesture to indicate that he wished to view the draft copy of the agreement that had been drawn up.

Of course it was slightly unnecessary as the president had already listened to the points as well but it had never never hurt to double check any sort of legally binding agreement.

He skimmed through it and finally spoke. “You’ll have to excuse me taking my time. But I think I’ve come to a conclusion, this agreement sounds very favourable to the country, both financially from the trade agreements but also diplomatically with working together militarily and hosting sporting events.”

“I would like to change one point however if I may… In the last section it states that “Neither of the parties shall create taxes, limits, bans, or quotas on the goods or services of the other party on basis of their origin from the other party, with exception to such taxes, limits, bans, or quotas created by international organisations of which the parties are members thereof.” However we have some very strict standards on imported and domestic goods.”

“And sadly I do not have complete executive power to sign the treaty directly. I need a referendum in our Parliament, and that could make it a lot harder to get the approval of the parliament to give me the power to sign the bill. Would your holiness be able to renegotiate some other type of deal? Say, perhaps we change it so that one party may ban goods from the other party. However a company may make an appeal to the party in which it was banned…. Does that sound acceptable your holiness?”

He snapped his fingers and laughed. “I almost forgot, the sport that we should play should be some sort of ski-race. It’s quite a fun sport, and popular here at least.

A smile crept up on the presidents face "I apolagize, it's called... Biathlon, the word escaped me. It's quite a fun sport... And the treaty is good. I'll make sure the parliament gives me to ok to sign this as soon as possible. Or atleast to make my signature legally binding." The president took out his pen and signed the paper before handing it back to the young pope. "I will call a vote for it today and notify you as soon as possible during this week. Will that be acceptable?"

The presidents head then peaked up when he heard the complaints. "Perhaps your holiness would like to stay here? I can arrange a great dinner for you. And an oppertunity for you to talk to the secretary later aswell" he winked and laughed.

"Sounds good, am sure these parliamentarians will be pursuaded enough that the Pope concucted this deal with you. As for this dinner offer of yours, well that's what I expected when I got here, would be too tiring for me to suddenly leave after diplomatic conversation considering it takes quite a few hours to fly here...a dinner with yout secretary? Why not, am a man who likes to make friends and who knows she migjt be interesting enough to catch my attention after all...hehehe" TYP replied; this entire ordeal has been somehwat unorthodox but hey every new experience is to be taken in with a complete open mind and positivity.
Title: Re: The papal visit to New Colovia

the president laughed.. "Of course, I believe that to make good relations you sometimes have to step out of your comfort zone and do something unexpected. Within certain parameters of course... Anyways,it's good that you expected dinner, because I got some of our finest chefs to prepare a meal, would have been very disapointing if you did not accept your holiness"
He stood up and motioned for the young pope to do the same. "Now, the dining hall if one may call it that is this way." The President start walking slowly, just enough to make sure the pope could catch up relativly quickly.
Title: Re: The papal visit to New Colovia
Post by: The Young Pope on February 08, 2018, 04:53:09 PM
"Well I aim to please my Colovian friend, if you insist so much that these Chefs are the very best that you got to offer..." The Pope said, finishing his drink in the process and kindly followed the President out of his office and to the dining hall. While taking a closer look of his surroundings, his holiness took the opportunity to have a chitchat. "So Mr. President, tell me a bit about yourself how you managed to attain this level of power...as well...your absolute desires in life. Don't worry I'm a man of the clergy, it's my job listening to the very secrets of man without revealing to anyone but me and God."
Title: Re: The papal visit to New Colovia
Post by: New Colovia on February 08, 2018, 05:08:00 PM
The way towards the dining hall went through a long marble hall. Statues, paintings and designs on the wall decorates the hallway in many exquisite ways "No offense, but I've never understood that part... Why not simply converse with the Lord directly?... but that's beside the point..." he said "What brought me here was, well I joined the party's youth group when I was 15, and I made sure to engage myself as much as possible. About, what was it now? 6 years ago I was chosen as the minister of defense by the goverment. I saw things I was unhappy with and I worked hard to establish myself as a influental member of the party until I was elected as the party leader during the party congress."

The president seemed to ponder his next answer, it seemed quite obvious that no one had really asked him about that before and he was a bit unsure on how to answer. "Well, your holiness. My goals are fairly simple right now I wish to finish my term and leave the country in a better shape than I left it. Then I'm not actually sure on what I wish to do if you want me to be quite honest, work keeps me very occupied... How about yourself? If I remember my history correctly, are you not one of the younges popes in history?"
Title: Re: The papal visit to New Colovia
Post by: The Young Pope on February 08, 2018, 05:17:55 PM
"Thanks for sharing your brief life story Mr. President, you and I are similar in that we do work hard to achieve our goals no matter what.

Well each and everyone of us is different when it comes to that matter, but in most cases including I, it felt as if it was my call after all to become a priest and a most loyal servant of our Lord. I grew up in Achkaerin, with Catherine Deed who's I believe the science minister if I'm not mistaken, forgive me for my bad memory, as well as my old friend and Mentor Bishop Martin Deed. It's complicated to understand but to be brief, a miracle happened to me when I was a little boy, sounds silly for those who're not ardent believers", the Young Pope emphasized with a smile.

This miracle made me realize that God was intstructed me to do his calling, sure it was a bit pre-determined considering I grew up with a Bishop, but that special event which happened to me only further strengthened it. One thing I don't like as a joke, even among the faithful, is when they sometimes make an ironised comment upon seeing a child such as 'Oh you suit to become a priest', or a nun....I quickly tell them that it's the children in the end who'll decide what they want to do when they grow up according to how and what they feel. Not everyone can become a priest, monk, nun etc. Think about it, you sacrifice a lot when becoming either of those...one of the challenges in my experience is the ability to not have your own family and a loving wife for instance, it's all about serving the Lord and the other holy til' your end. On the plus side you do get to know how to feel responsible for your own parish and in a way they're your bigger, extended family hehe...At least we get our share of alcohol every day.

I'm actually the youngest Pope in modern ages, there have been previous popes who've been way much more younger when they began their pontificate. Luckily I'm a fan of history so this is what I remember the last time I delved into the 'secret' vatican archives, which you should come and stop by for next time you decide to visit. In any case, The youngest pope in history, however, is less than half of my age. That would be Pope Benedict IX, born Theophylactus of Tusculum, who was picked as pope on three separate occasions in his lifetime, ruling during a tumultuous period in the church with seven different papacies over a short period of time. The date of his birth is uncertain, but his first papacy, in 1032, was given to him somewhere between the age of 11 and 20. Some historians contend that Pope John XII was actually the youngest pope ever. His date of birth is also uncertain, and he's said to have started his papacy somewhere between the age of 18 and 25 in 955. But in the end it's more likely the former...just for simplicity's sake."

The president listened intently, nodding from time to time as the two kept walking through the palace's long winding corridors and through it's beautifully sculpted doorways. "That's quite a remarkable story, especially this miracle you're mentioned. You seem to be very wise aswell, so I would not be beyond believing some sort of miracle happened, or atleast that your belief in that it was a miracle helped you. But I must know, what is the miracle? What did happen? You can't just skim over that!" He laughed. But before the pope was able to reply the two arrived at the dining hall. It was a very large room, pillars lining the walls of the room.
Tables had been set up and several plates had been put down.. People sat and conversed, they appeared to be staff that worked at the Palace of the Republic but also other goverment employees like beaurocrats.

A waiter came up to the president and the pope, bowing in front of them before saying "Let me show you to your seats sir" in a thick but understandble colovian accent. The table itself was situated near the middle of the room. As soon as the president and the pope had managed to sit down he spoke again. "Where were we? Oh right, I asked you about the miracle that made you the pope, or atleast made you sure it was your destiny."

"Well I would like to tell you what it's all about, this miracle I'm so lovingly referring to. But due to the fact that this event which effectively sealed the deal and made me the man I'm today...it would be too hard as of now to describe it in detail and it's something between the Lord and I. But don't fret though my dear friend hehe, one day I'll share with you what happened on miraculous that day, either in person once more or perhaps an encrypted email." TYP proudly said with an assertive tone. It wasn't that he didn't want to reveal what went on, he hadn't just thought about it for a while and describing something without mental preparation, well not this time anyway.

"ooh it smells quite good from what I can sense Mr. President, is that the appertizer I see is arriving now?" TYP hinting at the waiter carrying a set of plates. "Also...would there be additional guests aside from us two who could keep as company?"

The President looked around. The rest of the hall was packed full with people, except the average sized table he and TYP sat at. "I had planned for some more people to arrive, but I'm not sure if they're going to make it considering they're not here. I wouldn't loose hope however" A frown spread across his face and he let out a sigh. "Well, I guess sometimes things like that happen. Anyways, yes that is indeed the apetizer. We're going to have a 5 course meal that I hope his holiness will enjoy."

The President took his hand and stroked through his hair. Revealing one or two graying hairs that were dotted here and there. "So your holiness, if you cannot share it yet then it must be something quite incredible. Which just makes me look forward to the day that you can tell me. Which gives me even more motivation to keep our countries friendly" He let out a heartfelt laugh.
At that moment several waiters came out, carrying platters filled with toasted brioche rounds with creme fraiche and caviar aswell as a glass of wine that was poured.
"This dinner may be formal, but I should warn you everyone is most likely going to start eating without me telling them to. But I would still like you to take the first bite out of us two, for whatever that is worth."

"If you insist..." After TYP prepared his napkin, he took the first bites of the toasted brioche rounds with creme fraiche and caviar washing it all down with a few sips of the red wine. "Mmh, not bad at all, makes one more excited and eager for the next course hehe. So Mr. President tell me, how's life going on in New Colovia in general and what are your plans in terms of governship, any issues you've seemed to encounter so far? It won't bore me at all I swear, I can't stress enough how one must balance spiritual and temporal duties which is why it's key to have good, smart folks working for you without ever thinking of backstabbing."

"It's pretty good is it not?" The president took a sip from the wine then a bite out of the food that had been served. "Life is going quite good so far." He continued, this time in a more serious tone "I've had some set backs on tax reforms and such from the senate aswell as some people who are... let's just say, explosive at times." he sighed. "It's quite honestly a bit sad how hard it is to actually fulfill my campaign promises with the amount of work against me I'm having. I'm suprised we're not in a civil war yet!" he chuckled at the other leader sitting infront of him

Soon amongst the noise of people laughing and talking aswell as eating another sound could be heard. That which ounded like heels tapping against marble. The same secretary from before wearing similar, but slightly more fancy clothes joined the two men at the table. The President smiled and give her a nod. She seemed a bit shy, and a bit nervous.

"I do hope you remember our lovely secretary that we met earlier your holiness? I asked her to join us, and seems that she accepted."
She turned her head towards the young pope and in a quiet voice said "Hello your holiness, i-it's an honour to be able to be here!"

"Likewise, it's an honor and pleasure to have you dine with us...Ms? TYP said while taking her hand and kissing it gently. "Do introduce yourself more, I wanna know your most innerful desires too hehe."

She seemed slightly less nervous now as she had been introduced but it was clear she was still slightly stressed. "My name is Erin your holiness.. Erin Veinther.  I'm sorry if I seem nervous it's just that my mother is from the ecclassical state and I've spent a lot of time there, and meeting the Pope is something I can't describe." Her voice sounded a lot calmer now. Almost like she had let something out of her system, her back straightened and she breathed out.

"Is New Colovia treating you well so far your holiness?" she asked whilst shooting a quick glance at the president who was currently silently listening aswell as observing.

"Oh it's alright, I felt nervous myself the day I was chosen to become Pope, represent the Lord and lead his Church; it's still something to get used to, dealing with bod secular and spiritual matters although it's cool to be Commander-in-Chief for nearly 2.2 million soldiers haha." he replied, trying to make her feel more comfortable and reassuring. "As for New Colvia treating me fairly...well what more can I say other than the warm hospitality radiating from everyone here including your President as well as nailing the first impressions with the food" he said giving off a smile.

"Speaking of food..." The president chimed in. "Here comes the second course I believe."  he was correct as waiters and waitresses walked in. This time their platters carried a bowl of what appeared to be some sort of soup that had a light but apetizing brown colour.

She looked at and took a spoon to taste it before returning her gaze to the young Pope. "That means a lot! I actually helped plan this" she exclaimed proudly. "Your job sounds really stressful, how do you manage it all?"

"I'd like to know that aswell, 2.2 million soldiers is quite impressive. Juggling that aswell as spiritual plus secular needs must be quite hard to balance." He, clearly interested in what the pope had to say.

*Slurp* Mmh, oh wow, this tasted really good, warm compliments once more to the chef!" the Pope exclaimed in a delightful manner.

"I can now see why the President has chosen you, Erin, to become his personal secretary, everything that involves planning seems to shine brilliantly under your supervision...as for my capacity to handle such a stressful occupation...There are a few things that I developed to cope the huge responsibilities, first of all it's probabaly natural and a no-brainer but praying does the trick splendidly, to saints, the Lord, his Son...it gives me greater clarity than ever and as well as the strength to continue the good works in His name, Secondly...may I just note that this isn't something I share with everyone...but Incense has been of great aid and benefit to my mental health hehehe, suppose it's a bit sinful giving the addiction but hey at least it's not like crack am I right?

As for your more developed question Mr. President...The Ecclesiastical government has been designed in a way to make sure that the Pope can either focus on spiritual or temporal duties, which is why it's integral that both sides contain the invaluable knowledge found among the lay people, without them trust me all of this that I am responsible first and foremost would be literally...Hell. It depends naturally on each pontiff but I like to work with both sides of the spectrum, gives one more unique aspects in how God's given world functions and further improves the understanding of it all, which also defines how a good leader should be and act in my full opinion". With that said, TYP continued to finish the soup while spreading butter on the freshly baked bread, a good compliment to the already satisfying soup.

"I could very well ask the same of both of you..."

"Thank you your holiness!" She practically shone up at hearing the praise from the pope. You could even hear it in her voice that she was truly proud of herself. "And I wouldn't say it's sinful if it only has good effects on you, your holiness."

The president then started speaking. "You sound like a leader I can admire. I think that our nations are going to really benefit from working together." He continued, this time to answer the question asked to him by the young pope. "My way of doing things is remembering that a great leader doesn't have to know everything, he simply has to recognize which people do and surround himself with them. I for example don't know how a ship is built, or how to command a navy. But I surround myself with people who do."

He laughed a bit to himself. "Of course I do pick up things along the way.. I'm not completly clueless. Unless it comes to appointments, or schedules luckily that's why I have Erin here." He gave a nod in her direction."

"Likewise I seem to find you as a wonderful and capable leader that New Colovia truly deserves" TYP said while making a small chuckle in the process. "I suppose that, without too much speculation, I might become the longest reigning Pope yet; more or less 4 decades worth of serving the Church and faithful, many opportunities to create a great legacy that us mere mortal can only accomplish in a 'short' span of time." While saying so, it seemed that the next meal finally arrived...
Title: Re: The papal visit to New Colovia

It seemed that what was coming was the main dish. Three waiters arrived at the table and bowed before putting down a plate for each person at the table.
The dish was some type of meat sliced into several slices. It laid on top of a mixture of potato slices, vegtables and more, it had a wonderful smell that filled ones nose and it looked truly apetizing.

Then a familiar voice spoke, it was the president. "I would like to warn your holiness that there is a dish after the dessert, so don't enjoy the food too much." He laughed light heartedly.
"You must tell me more about your legacy, what is it that you wish everyone to remember you for? What is your addition to the world that will last a thousand years?" He sat silent a bit before continuing. "I actually have a goal, I want to make New Colovia into what it was, a truly prosperous power in the world. Something to be reckoned with.  That is of course a lot of work." he then sat silent, waiting for the Pope to answer his original question.

As TYP began to eat the meat dish, he also responded to the President's question. "Frankly I don't know how my legacy will look like to be honest, I suppose it's up to the Lord as to how he would like for me to serve him, the Church and the Ecclesiastical State hehe. Your plans for a succesful legacy truly sound quite ambitious, I bid you the very best of luck and God's blessing naturally...Oh my this meat...so juicy and tasty, soft and not sluggish to chew."

"I will send the chef your regards your holiness, and I thank you and I wish you luck aswell." Then Erin spoke again, she had been quiet for a bit now. "Your holiness, I would like to know something... Is the ecclesiastical state willing to send a regiment to New Colovia? A marching regiment that is. We have an annual parade to honour our military and our independence and I think it would be a good symbol if your regiments marched with ours as a sign of peace and cooperation between our two states."

The president nodded with Erin. "Truly it would be an honour your holiness, it's an important holiday and I think if your soldiers put up a good display with ours then that could help shift public opinions atleast slightly. What do you think your holiness?" Both the president and Erin then started eating, continuing their meal and finishing it slowly.

"Oh how I would love to to day...a regiment in mind would most likely be from the the ICBFM or International Corps of the Blessed Faith Militant[1], one of the finest fighting forces in the Ecclesiastical Army of Christ, a great sight to behold as well as a charming march they got when performing ont he move...a nice addition to the Independence parade I'm sure of it. May I ask which independence we're referring to, as to avoid some historical awkwardness hehe, just joking but curious naturally...?"

It was at that moment that TYP finally was done with the meat dish and taking a clunk of the beverage.

 1. Basically the Catholic version of French Foreign Legion

"The New Colovian independance from well... The Ecclesiastical state" Erin said a bit awkwardly. "But also to celebrate us becoming a democracy and lot's of other things like that. It really just means what you want it to mean." she then became quiet again.

"That would be, like I said, a true honor your highness. I will make sure to notify you on a good time well before the parade happens so that they may practice and be sent over here. Does the  Ecclesiastical state have any sort of  military parade that happens annually?" he then sat silent aswell.
And not long after the fourth dish arrived. It was chocolate mousse with what appeared to be some sort of cinnamon looking spice ontop of it. This time no drink was brought out however, as only the meal was put forward. Erin was quite quick to take her spoon and taste it, a look of enjoyment on her could clearly be seen.

"Ah I see" TYP tasted the chocolate mousse and became satisfied with the taste and texture. "Compliments once more to the chef, not too sweet and quite bitter, which is what I would consider the ideal mousse as well as using actual dark chocolate and not some other type of crap. We do in fact hold these parades several times a year as a matter of fact on important national holidays and other festivals of every kind, so as for 'practices', we generally don't worry hehe."

With dinner almost complete and quite full in the stomach, TYP wondered what would happen shortly after.

And soon enough a the final dish arrived. It looked oddly, simplistic. A glass of what looked like beer and a small piece of bread was laid on a small but ornate plate. "This is the final dish, but it can also be skipped without anyone considering it rude your holiness" Erin said with her usual smile on her face.

"Of course, that is good to hear" the president remarked. "And I think that we have concluded a very good and productive meeting now. Unless, your holiness wishes to add something I will see to it that Erin escorts you to either a room that we have prepared or to the airport."

Erin looked at the pope and nodded, almost as if confirm that the president was speaking the truth and that this was the plan.

The Young Weasel Pope ate and drank the last food items as to show that he was compltely satisfied, although had a bit of a cough attack upon hearing the President's suggestion to escort him back to the airport. "A-airport? Oh it's just a typical New Colovian joke in a serious tone hehe, never gets old does it right?" he looked at the secretary with a smile. "I'm pretty sure my purpose was to perform my Popely duties by stopping by to check upon how the Christians in this land were doing, especially the Catholic minority...y'know having selfies with the fans, visiting churches, talking to the local leadership and all that jazz...did I forgot to mention about reminding everyone to show affection for the poor and the crippled?

Very well I'm feeling awfully tired, so I should head back to the hotel I suppose, but thank you once again for all of this and the wonderful dinner you managed to set-up...A pleasure spending time with you Ms. Secretary, hope we'll see each other soon again...perhaps you'd like to coome and visit me in the Vatican I bet you would love the Secret Archives and the spot where Pope Pete the first of his name's bones are located...Mr. President, if you may please?"

Erin giggled a bit. "I think it's best if you sleep your holiness. There isn't a single catholic church in the capital. The closest one is a three hour drive from here. But I would be happy to take you some other time, in the morning." She paused a bit before continuing. "I would love to come and visit some time" she flashed a bright smile before standing up
"If you allow me your holiness I will show you back to your car and we will take you to your hotel."

She nodded and walked with purpose and a direction of where to go. She took the young pope through winding corridors filled again with statues and ornate and decorated walls and well... ornate things in general.
When she finally stopped walking you were at a door. She opened it and inside was a large equally fancy room with a large bed aswell as several amenities. "I trust your holiness will find this room suited for someone of your stature" she smiled. "If someone tries to assassinate you just give us a call and we'll make sure you won't be assassinated."

"Oh hahaha, assasinated...well let's hope it shall not come down to that. Thank you again Ms. Veinther for everything. if you don't mind I'll head to bed now and refreshen myself for tomorrow." Before his holiness shot the door behind him, he gave the secretary a kiss on her forehead as saying good night, giving a pat on the shoulder in the process. The Young Weasel Pope had just completed another agreement between the Ecclesiastical State and New Colovia, and couldn't wait for upcoming experiences.

OOC: Unless there's something else you wish to add, we can end this?

Nodded and walked away to her usual position.
The meeting had concluded and everything was well. The President was very excited to see the new developments that the agreement would bring

OOC: Yeah, it's done haha. Thanks for the rp
