A Secret Message to Kaitaine
« on: February 07, 2018, 08:35:31 PM »

Dear comrades,

We are a group of influential socialist revolutionaries, and we need your help. Herrenbucht and its wretched Duke are getting more and more
vulnerable. This rotten structure of lies, greed and opression is getting weaker each day. Hence the proletariat only needs to give it a little push
and liberty will be ours. We will be able to mobilize the masses in the end, however to have a viable perspective of putting up a military resistance
we need help from our foreign brothers.
Therefore we would like to create plans together, so we can coordinate the revolution. Herrenbucht has so much potential and with the socialists
now being stronger than ever before, we have to take this chance.
We would be able to send a delegation to Kaitaine without the Herrenbuchtian government noticing.

I have been asked to deal with this on behalf of President McPherson. We are delighted to hear your influence is spreading, however the prospect of bloodshed is less appealing but may be neccessary. We understand your concern about the need for secrecy and therefore I would suggest that we do not meet in Kaitaine. Since the terrorsit group known as the Bene Gesserit attacked East Moreland we have had a liason team working with them to help them gain knowledge of this terror cell. I would therefore like to suggest that your representatives meet with Alice McCall, the lead agent on this team, in Northfort during her rest day in three days time. It would not be considered suspicious a member of your nation travelling to East Moreland and the meeting can take place at the Northfort United V's Roberton AFC football match. We have arranged for a ticket to be left at the grounds ticket office in the name Simon Yates, the woman sat to your left will be Alice.

We hope this is acceptable.

Finn Süßmann had been member of the Roter Untergrund (Red Underground) for fifteen years. Several weeks ago he became the newest member of the central council of this secret socialist organisation. He was eager to serve his comrades and their common cause, and therefore he was overwhelmed with joy when he was given the task to contact the spokesperson from Kaitaine.

His journey on a ferry from Herrenbucht to East Moreland had been without complications although he really feared being suspicious in the eyes of the Herrenbuchtian border guards.

When Finn entered the arena complex he searched for the ticket office. A young man stood behind the counter. Most guests already had their ticket so Finn didn't have to wait long.

Trying to conceal his strinking Herrenbuchtian accent as best as possible he ordered the ticket for Simon Yates. The young man rose an eyebrow, but offered Finn the ticket without hesitation: "Enjoy the game!"

Finn left the ticket office searching for the number he found on the ticket. He took his seat, and looked to his left and asked "Are you Alice? I'm the delegate from Herrenbucht"

Alice McCall kept her eyes fixed on the game as the Herrenbuchtian man shuffled along the row. "Watch the game" she said simply if he asked about her identity, for the next 45 minutes she said noting to him just watched the game as though engrossed. As the referee blew the half time whistle she stood and motioned for him to follow her, she made her way down to the coffee bar that was underneath the stands and ordered two coffees, she handed one to Finn before finding a place to stand in the busy concourse. "So I understand that you wish some help with a few matters, perhaps you should begin by telling me exactly what your situation is and what you would require?" she asked quietly just loud enough that he could hear here over a combination of football fans and the tannoy system.

"I'll happily explain our situation. Although the government does its best concealing this fact: frankly Herrenbucht is a powder keg right now. It just needs a small spark. Our organisation plans to start an uprising that will have enough manpower to get rid of the Duke. Now let me explain our plan. Although we are a organisation of radical socialists, we ahve influential personnel in most of the trade unions, even the more moderate ones. That means we could start exstensive strikes, which would weaken Herrenbucht's economy extremely. Of course given the time we have to prepare the masses, through propaganda. We will try to strike as long as possible and when the situation is as heated as possible, we activate our partner in the military high command of the garrisoned army in Herrenbucht. I know this might sound a bit cruel, but trust it'll be worth it. Our partner will order the garrison which will probably be used to intimidate the protesters, to shoot, unprovoked. Some of our comrades might die, but the mood will shift in a matter of moments. Their sacrifice will help us rebuild Herrenbucht. As soon as we have the masses on our side, we need your help. Although we will probably be able to mobilize a reasonable army, supplied with small weapons we don't have the equipment to fight a professional army. We need tanks, artillery, air support and so on and so on. We would be more than grateful if you were able to send us volunteers as well, maybe even declare war on the Duke. Now tell me will Kaitaine support us and if so, how much support can we expect?"

How little this man remembered the old sabre rattling days of the USR, moves that had ultimatley lead to its collapse, they'd poked their noses into every conflict going like the proverbial bull in a china shop, however the Capitalist scum of Mundus had merely rolled them back as they lacked popular support. McPherson knew the revolution would come, but not in a sudden flood, but rather in the drip drop ever eroding fashion of a raindrop on rock. That was something he'd been drilling into his most trusted people for close to a decade now, even when Stalin had threatended the world McPherson had been preparing for a different path.

"Now, while we are happy to support we have an issue, there is no way we can provide heavy equipment, you sit 8,000km away by sea, there would be no way of us getting things to you unknown. No way of us doing so without having the rest of Mundus turn against us and you, and with the long logistical arm needed you'd fail. I can however offer something. We would be willing to have as many people as you can get to Kaitaine train with our military, we can turn these brave voulenteers of yours into professional soldiers, this will give us time to look at methods to bring more regular members of Herrenbucht's military under your influence, as well as look at ways of getting equipment of a heavier variety to you. What do you say?"

Süßmann became nervous. His superiors expected him to report an absolute success of this mission, but this lady seemed really determined. This would probably make things more difficult, but the revolution was still possible. All labour unions were fully prepared to strike for months. The revolutions needs to be started soon with or without weapons from Kaitaine.

"I accept this proposal. We will need to reach Herrenbuchtian arsenals as soon as possible then. I think we will have efficient ways to convinve the soldiers as well. Some of our soldiers will be able to enter Herrenbucht immediately. We have some of our men stationed in the ports, but we cannot conceal the immigration of too many. Once the revolution has started and we have seized control over the coast everyone can enter who is willing to fight for our cause. The last thing we need to worry about are the potential allies of the Duke. But we can discuss this in a separate agreement once the civil war has started. You will hear from us. Goodbye....Comrade"

Süßmann then left the stadium heading back to Herrenbucht.
