A Faithfull Occasion (Ui Cenneslaig & Neu Uburzis)
« on: February 18, 2018, 12:13:21 AM »
To King Finley of Ui Cenneslaig,

as your Nation houses the first Public known Bene Gesserit School, and your brave move to openly welcome the Faith into the Public Light again, our Senates have tasked me to find a better understanding about them from you and your trusted adviser, Mister Corrino. There are open Question to the Status of the Truthsayers we wish to find clarity about. Since this is also the first official State visit to Ui Cenneslaig from The Empire, i would attend in Person, instead of sending Dignitaries. I understand these matters are not to be discussed in letters or mail, and since i gained the impression of his Majesty being a very reasonable Person, i am seeing forward to a possible stay in Claith.

With all due Respect,

Prince Albrecht of Uburzis, Regent to Emperor Orion the First

OOC-  A mainly Libby post

Finley was rather enjoying Niklaus being part of the Royal Council, he was clearly a very intelligent man and had a way of cutting through all the issues with a kind of razor sharp analysis. Finley had known the man was considered to be a kind of child prodigy having graduated from University at 18 and expanding his families wealth, it was just that kind of intelligence he needed. Finley was great at getting people on his side and making relationships work but he wasn't a natural thinker compared to many. Finley had always respected Niklaus since meeting him at several functions and welcomed his philanthropic streak, which may now not have been quiet as altruistic as he first thought but frankly Finley didn't care.

The meeting was going to take place at the King's Palace in Claith and while the Prince had requested a meeting between himself, Finley and Niklaus that wasn't how things were going to happen from the start, it would be wrong to have the newest Royal Councillor introduced to a Prince and Regent ahead of the rest who had served much longer, which was why a horde of 20 councillors stood behind the King as he waited Albrecht to arrive, Niklaus stood among them, shifting uneasily, unlike the rest he wasn't used to state functions and he didn't particularly like the attention. Finley would greet their guest, take him for a drink with the Council and then once everyone's ego had been flattered they'd head to a restaurant Finley liked, it had a chef's table in the kitchen and the King had booked it to give them some privacy to socialise before real discussions took place.

"Great. We now also have a bunch of dead Bene Gesserit and they have a leader now. timing couldn't be worse."

Albrecht huffed as he stared down from the Airships Gondola, reading the online version of "We are the Resistance" as they descended. A couple of low level Senators had to be tagged along, for show. He knew it would probably be some show act and hand shaking before they could talk pressuring business, but he had some ideas to cross the bridge before that. Flicking through more news reports, he groaned reading the Rokejima Imperial Degree: "I need to make sure Orion is less careless than this woman. Not to mention she, of all people, is the one to talk about people being threads. Laughable."

While he would have loved the convenience of landing the airship directly in Front of King Finley's Palace, he knew how likely it would upset local Politicians on a Symbolic level, so they arrived in cars from the Airfield. The Senators would make good work keeping the other counselors busy while making themselves look important. He stepped up to the King, this time not in uniform but the Toga and Tunic combination iconic to Neu Uburzis, bowing to him: "Your Majesty. What a pleasure to finally be in Claith myself. I had heard much good about the City from our Embassy staff."

Not to mention i need to explain that little detail as well, Albrecht thought to himself: "I have brought some dignitaries with me as well, i am sure your Counselors would love to have time with some of our Local Senators. Our People know rather little of each other so this might be a way to get a feeling for opportunities as well."

Waving towards the waiting crowd, of Photographers, Albrecht nodded: "I am sorry i couldn't bring the Emperor along. Orion does have a filled school schedule after all." He announced to the Councilors, before nodding to King Finley: "Not to mention, he is too young for Whiskey anyway."

OOC - Joint Post

The next hour was rather un-business like with the King allowing the guests to mix with his councillors, he could hear various discussions taking place as the two groups mingled over glasses of wine or other beverages, the King made himself rather disappear, this was all about being able to say to the Council they'd been able to meet this foreign set of dignitaries. As the King looked at his watch he spotted his aide, the young girl Adeen stood at the door scanning the room for him, rather immaturely Finley ducked down below the crowd of bodies between himself and the aide before doing his best to sneak up on her. He approached her from behind as she'd wandered to look at the back of the room, the King flanked her and was going to surprise her but as he set about tickling her in the ribs she smartly turned, "Your Majesty your car is outside" she said formally not reacting to the King's silly game, her stern face rather making Finley feel like a child.

"Oh come on, you can't expect me to sit with this lot for an hour sober and not need some fun" the King placed a friendly arm around Adeen's shoulders as they rounded up Niklaus and Albrecht. "Anyway, we'll go grab some lunch" Finley lead the pair outside and back into a car, "We're heading to a lovely little place down near the river, they have a nice table actually in the kitchen which is rather private and the smell in their is amazing" Finley was rather looking forward to his meal, the last time he'd been there was about a year ago with his wife for their anniversary.

The King was unwilling to take business as they drove the ten minutes through the city, instead enquiring about the Emperor's daily routines and the like. He recalled Orion couldn't be too much older than his own son Keane who was about to turn 12. He wondered if he should have took his son with him to the coronation, it'd been a good way to break down some barriers having a royal of a similar age make friends with him but that was in the past now, a missed opportunity. It was only as they arrived at the rear of the restaurant that Finley began to turn things to business, "I'll see you inside, I'm going to pick us out a nice bottle and when I get back hopefully you'll have determined where you want to start. Niklaus your to play host til I get back." Finley clapped Niklaus on the shoulder and disappeared inside the restaurant through the staff's back door, meanwhile Adeen escorted Niklaus and Albrecht down some steps usually reserved for the kitchen deliveries, she pushed open the door and a wall of different aroma's hit them. The smell of stewing meat, roasting vegetables, soups and grilled fish.

"Niklaus, nice to see you" the Chef extended a hand wiping it first on his rag tucked into his apron's pocket. "No Agatha with you?" he asked referring to the man's wife but before the man could answer the Chef continued, "Oh yeah, business isn't it, you'll be Prince Albrecht yes?" the chef extended a clammy hand before leading the two men to a leather semi circular booth around a circular table, it sat just on the edge of the kitchen but out of the way. A series of silver cutlery sat ready to be used and the Chef personally poured them a glass of wine. "I better get back to the kitchen, I hope you have a nice meal" he added before yelling at some young chef to keep and eye on the steak grilling.

"This place is great, my wife found it and we try and come at least once a month, sadly we can't always get this table but now I'm on the Council who knows it might be easier" the businessman chuckled as his eyes followed the swift knife action of the chef, he found it amazing how quickly they manipulated the razor sharp knives and he knew he was never that co-ordinated. "Now I understand you're likely to have many questions, I'll answer them as clearly as I can but please remember I'm not part of the leadership of the Sisterhood, I like to think they let me give my opinion but The Mothers are the ones who make the decisions." he hoped the explanation would take some of the pressure off. "So before the King gets back where do you want to start?" he asked as he heard the familiar laugh of the King making his way down the stares sharing a joke with one of the waiting staff bringing empty plates back to the kitchen.

Albrecht had joined in the chitchat, mentioning that he was still worried about Orion dealing with all that happened the past year, and how he still struggled with letting strangers close. Or that Orions Nieces and Nephews also struggled with the loss of their Parents while his Mother and Prince Kurt tried to fill the gap as good as they could.

Albrecht loved the setting of the Kitchen, the smell was amazing and the cozy feeling was reminding him of his own younger years sneaking into their palace kitchen.  He sighed as he actually had now regretted they couldn't wait with business:

"I guess Miss Erin becoming the reverred Mother made this meeting more important than ever. Talking about that, i did hear your Brother recently was involved in some Sort of courtesan Ritual? I do recall the Report said his name was Corrino."

The King returning, Albrecht couldn't help but have his stomach growl from all the fumes surrounding them: "I think the first thing we need to work out is the Situation of the Truthsayers. Calling them Terrorists is bonkers and just shows how little Moreland actually did read up about them. I think it's their history with domestic Terrorism and this unfortunate Idiocy from single Members of your Faith putting us in this Situation. We ourselves believe strongly in a firm Education in Combat, our Cadets get Gun Training from Age Sixteen on. No matter what though, we can't built up a rhetoric countering the terrorism claims as long as this Incident stands unchallenged." His Stomach growling again Albrecht chuckled: "And maybe, but what would you advise? You both have the Advantage over knowing the Chef already."

Niklaus shifted uneasily at the mention of his brother, his identity had always been rather closely guarded by the Sisterhood for several reasons, the main one being that he was the secret member of the Corrino family, the most Holy of the four Holy Houses. The fact that Albrecht was here discussing various rituals was a concern. "My brother is indeed a fully committed member of our faith, undertaking whatever aid he can for the Bene Gesserit" was all Niklaus would say on that.

Next he turned to the issue of the Truthsayers, "I'm afraid there is very little we know about the incident" he said with a slight lie, to confirm he knew anything would be to burn his brother and while he didn't know what was going to happen he knew the Sisterhood and his brother were up to something. "Yes it seems that those carrying out the attacks were trained Truthsayers, the crystknifes they had with them were pretty clearly evidenece of that. The issue is we don't know the identities of those who carried out the attacks, and even if we did chances are they were not active Truthsayers, you see some graduates reach their mid twenties and are not required to continue to maintain their service, as such they go off, lead normal lives or contribute in other ways, but a graduate always maintains their knife. We would struggle to provide East Moreland with any proof without revealing more about who are Truthsayers are, and with the KGB targetting them that's a risk, espeically as the Morelanders are sharing intelligence with the Kaitaine government."

Albrecht nodded slowly, so the Man wasn't aware of Monika at all it seemed. He might have to lay more Cards open to make this fruitful, not now, though. At least, not with the entire Truth:

"Oh, so they hadn't told you of that little Incident yet? They had one of our Embassy staff as substitute Teacher for German over at the Chapterhouse. She is on Leave of Absence for now, as the Ambassador had refused to work further together with her, and we have to determine the gravity of the Situation."

Leaning back he nodded: "i have realized the Issue of David working together with Pherson. That man blew up a Fisher boat with a Guided rocket for Sanity's sake. I understand the Gravity of stolen Nukes, but McPherson would gladly fire one onto us if he had one as well." Shaking his head Albrecht exhaled slowly: "We can't just ignore the incident. One way or another we need an answer. We don't know, is not enough of an answer. Then again i'd suggest eating first before we later can come up with ideas." Looking at the Menu, he smiled warmly: "So, any suggestion for me, else i must agree i'd put my Faith in the Chef and let him decide."

OOC - Joint UC/BG post

King Finley had joined them both just as the conversation had begun to get serious, he allowed the two men to go about their business, this was after all more a meeting for those pair than him. He considered himself merely the mediator should one be required, otherwise he was here to do what he did best, eat, drink and be merry. "Lets get a little of everything" Finley clapped his hands heartily as Albrecht suggested getting some food, "They do smaller plates, we get one of everything, share it round yes?" Finley looked at each of his guests before beckoning the waitress over and making the request, the waitress nodded that she'd sort that for them and took the ticket to the chef who simply gave the King a smiling nod before yelling a few instructions at his staff who like a well drilled military unit swung into action. Instantly the hiss of pans and oil could be heard as the dishes began.

Niklaus took up the conversation again as they waited for the meals to be cooked, "The thing you must remember with McPherson is that he's cruel yes, but unlike Stalin its a measured cruelty, he's careful to show that he takes with one hand, gives with the other. So long as your on the giving hand its hard to find people to turn against him.....but not impossible. Take the whole fishing boat thing, the same day he announces more University places for students, lowers fuel bills and increases the number of holidays workers can take a year. As a result the people trust him. He's not this insane monster people paint him to be, his every move seems to be measured." he hated the man but there wasn't a lot he could do, for the moment. "We've people we trust within Kaitaine, they estimate that around 70% of the population support him, and that his prodigy this Vadik Pasternak is just as popular."

Before Albrecht could answer plates of food arrived, a plate of lobster tails, a hearty broth, sausage and beans and then some various fish dishes all mixing their aromas as silver domes where removed with all the flair of some kind of magician. As the waiters disppeared back to serve tables in the main restaurant Finley handed his guest a dish of steamed trout. "I think personally a better use of our time is to look at ways we can support the Bene Gesserit faith globally."

"I agree, but that circles us back to the main point. We need a cooperated strategy to combat the perception of terrorism. That reminds me..."

Albrecht rummaged through some papers, as he picked up an older news article from Zimalia, laying it to the Table: "There was something our Police forces noticed when investigating the Death of this child. It was an utter Setup, someone sick just wanted our attention and the child in fact was from your Nation. He was apparently abducted from Sea. And there's another thing our people noticed." Now turning towards Corrino, he tilted his head: "While not officially missing, our police forces noticed that a young woman stopped posting on her social media around the same time. The police only noticed as computer algorithm cross referenced with Chapterhouse Graduates. From what the officers told me, they found she had chartered a boat Trip around Zimalia as well around the same Time. I think it was..." Albrecht took a bite, before tilting his Head: "Oh right, Fiona McGregor."

Taking another bite from his food, he sighed: "Issue is, the prime suspect we have for the boy is a difficult target for us, she has the potential to destabilize the whole Empire. Also likely ties and agents in our Networks. I need outside help to get to her without endangering my own nation."

Sipping some of the Broth, he sighed lengthy: "So, blame a splinter cell for Moreland? We have to at least look the part of trying to solve the matter. Other Suggestions?"

OOC- Joint post

"With respect only two nations are calling them terrorists" King Finley began as he peeled the crispy skin from his fish. "Kaitaine, which is bloody biased for a start. Then we've East Moreland, and they have to tread carefully, after all their CNN allies with ourselves, they'll not want to rock the boat as we're the ones making sure the Cultists in Seleucid are watched over. Then we have Rokkenjima who frankly don't seem to know their arse from their elbow on this thing, one minute granting them status as a faith, then rescinding it, then calling to support East Moreland. As I see it if we took a global vote on whether the Bene Gesserit are terrorists the majority would say no." Finley began chewing on the crispy skin.

"Thank you Your Majesty" Niklaus said warmly, it was pleasing that they had the backing of such an influential man. "As for Miss McGregor, I've no idea who she is, you have to appreicate that many Bene Gesserit in hiding use fake names, hell I was Niklaus O'Hogan for my whole life up until a week ago."

"Much better name than Corrino" Finley teased before spearing a potato with his fork.

"Indeed Your Majesty" Niklaus said sarcastic before continuing, "In terms of, how did you say, getting to someone, I'm not sure how you think I can help, I'm not in any position to carry out a political assassination or something" he shrugged this type of politics was new to the Bene Gesserit man, he'd known a world of business, academica, his faith and hiding until the faith went public. "Would there be anyway to get her to Mountjoy during an upcoming Bene Gesserit festival. We could then perhaps have some of our people question her about this McGregor and who knows what else?" he looked for advice to Finley who seemed more concerned about a piece of fish bone caught in his teeth. "As for the Moreland question, we have had in the past an attempt to blame something called the Swordmasters, an off-shoot of the Truthsayers, but I don't think anyone took that announcement." Niklaus shrugged and took a bite of his own food.

"Personally" Finley began, "I'd say we stick together, throw support behind the Bene Gesserit, demand a high standard of proof, some knives and dead bodies isn't really proof of anything" he said not really sure he believed that, "Maintain this is some rouge element or perhaps an attempt by the KGB to destabilise the Bene Gesserit faith globally. See what happens?" Finley suggested.

"It is just, since technically she murdered one of your citizens..." Albrecht put the picture of the smiling boy back on the table again: "I thought your Police could try and look into it. When i mean get to her, i do not mean assassinate. Bringing her to Justice is my goal.  Maybe forward the Information on miss MC Gregor to the Chapterhouse, they might have some friends knowing more. Besides, what better publicity than, once we succeeded, we are able to pin the solving of such a monstrous murder..." Albrecht pointed on the Part where they described how mutilated the child was: "...on cooperation between our two nations, and the Bene Gesserit? Also, i agree. Just some Knifes aren't proof at all. For all we know Mc Fearson is well aware of your symbols so planting them would be Intrigue Grade School."

folding his hands, Albrecht nodded slightly: "For details on our prime suspect in the murder, i'd have to discuss that in a less open location. Some of that are state secrets on our Part i'd have to pass on. We believe from the way the kid died that she was responsible, or at least ordered the death. Orion has explicitly asked me to make sure she does not get away with mutilating him."

"Also, i think since both our Nations are Part of the CMA, how about we make some student exchange between the chapter house and one of our Military Academies happen? Both rather strict and militaristic in education, i think it would seems just reasonable and make the right international impression."

OOC- Joint Kris/Libby

"If we can ascertain where this womn is then we'll seek extradition and the like" Finley conceded, meanwhile Niklaus wasn't so convinced that the Truthsayers, and if they existed the Swordmasters wouldn't have their own methods of solving situations like this and they'd probably leave neater ends than the one Finley was proposing. "As for this school exchange what two schools choose to do is none of my business, I always encourage our students to get out and see the world, if the Chapterhouse school here in Claith wishes to take part I'll ensure visa's for visiting students are prioritised but beyond that, well its down to you two to arrange." Finley turned his focus back to the meal.

"I'm sure some of our girls would be happy to take part, but it would have to be an all female exchange, after all no males are permitted to be taught in Chapterhouse so I suspect that'd remain the same even for people not of the faith. For what its worth I can put pressure on the new Reverned Mother to facilitate it from our end, however ultimately she is God/Gods representative on Mundus and knows the best path to take far better than me." Niklaus added.

They sat and talk turned to other more mundane matters during the meal, which once finished was washed down with a small "whiskey tasting flight" five small samples of different whiskey beginning with an almost floral lightly golden one and ranging down to a smokey dark brown coloured one full of toffee flavours. Finley thanked the chef as they made their way back out and headed towards the Corrino residency. "I know there is probably much you wish to speak to the Bene Gesserit about" Finley said suddenly as the car wound through Claith, "So I think it makes sense for you two to have some alone time" he pressed a button and spoke in Gaelic through the intercom, the car stopped at the next set of traffic lights and Finley without a word stepped out leaning back in as security guards flanked him, "I'll see the pair of you this evening." he disappeared strolling off towards a park near the river, the Palace about a mile away on the hill.

The car wound through the streets to a small suburb where gated communities existed and in one such one was a grey stone house surrounded by a large spike topped war, the car was waved in through the gate, a guard visible, a woman and probably clear to all now a Truthsayer. They had masqueraded as private security firms for decades but now they were out in the open and provided security for the Holy Houses. The car pulled into an undergound parking lot and Niklaus escorted Albrecht to his study, it was on the top floor and overlooked the swimming pool where Niklaus' five children were merely playing supervised by Niklaus wife Agatha. Niklaus showed Albrecht to a large winged armchair and waited for him to get sat before taking his own, no sooner was he about to start speaking as a tall elegant woman in the Red uniform of the Honored Matres walked in and placed a tray of tea and coffee down before smiling at Niklaus and leaving without a word, Niklaus youngest concubine Niveden smiling at him as she gave a small bobbing courtsey as she left. Niklaus hadn't been expecting a formal involvement of "Niv" but figured he would be best being honest. "That was Niveden, we were paired when she was 18. The Honored Matres are believed to be connected to God/Gods and can help bring about our saviour. The Sisterhood" he chuckled to himself, "for some bizarre reason believe us Corrino's have like some super-DNA or something so wish us to have children, many children. My brothers been a bit neglectful in that respect, but then again he has had other matters on his mind. I myself have been blessed with five of the terrors, but I wouldn't change them for the world. Do you have children?" Niklaus asked as he leaned back in his chair listening to what sounded like his son Adam getting in trouble for splashing his youngest child Tille.

"Not married yet." Albrecht mentioned as he watched the children below: "Though i am somewhat the surrogate Father now for Orion and hies Nephews and Nieces, seeing as the role of Regent and Head of house fell to me until Orion fully comes off age."

Albrecht pinched his nose, leaning back into the armchair: "Try to deal with two twin brats of a sociopathic murderer, who were raised until that incident last year believing one of them would become empress one day, an angry little boy throwing cutlery at your state guests, and some more toddlers along side a thirteen year old Emperor. To be fair though, the pope does seem to have make a habit out of upsetting Youngsters in Uburzis."
Sipping from his cup, he tilted his head slightly: "I hope you don't mind the whole act here, it is a bit of an attempt to gloss over the fact we contacted the sisterhood before through less official channels."

Sipping from his cup he chuckled: "Oh, Pardon me. The Twin girls are the Daughters of exactly the woman i was talking about earlier. But i think we can later talk more about it. I myself probably wont marry until Orion is ruling for himself. It would worry people that i suddenly now start my own family, and my nation needs some time to accept the changes."

Leaning back, he tilted his head: "I am a little more worried about the whole situation than King Finley. Moreland has been grasped by MC Phearsons successful fear campaign aside from the Screw Up of your renegade Cell. Personally i believe a Bene Geserrit Liberated Kaitaine would be a stable and reliable Partner, which is why i support you. Aside from the Fact that whenever i read about what the Kaitaine Government does my Guts turn and twist. Ah, the reminds me. I think i have to apologize mentioning the Ritual in that Place, i wasn't aware you seemingly hadn't discussed this much with King Finely yet. "

Sipping some Tea, he leaned his head to the Side: "Talking about it, do you keep these cloth pieces with the blood? Like wedding Rings?"

"Keeping of memento's is one of the women's duties" Niklaus explained, "The Missionara Protectiva generally keep artefacts such as those kind of things, although the whole Honored Matres system changed some 200 years ago so I suppose you can say its not really an old tradition." He got up and made his way to the window watching his family enjoying the summers day.  "I'd like to think a Bene Gesserit controlled Kaitaine would be a place of many freedoms. I don't know how much your sources told you of our faith, but we are open to all teaching as we believe it gives us a greater understanding of the universe. We would want to be open with the world, our Reverned Mother would see it as a vital part of our foreign policy to be close to all nations, to have them wish to partner Kaitaine in a whole manner of affairs. But for that to happen we need to toppel the Communists and that is not likely to happen anytime soon." Niklaus shrugged. "The best we can hope for is help growing our faith, getting it to a level where we can start putting pressure on nations to help us, for example I suspect next elections here in Ui Cennesliag I'll form a Bene Gesserit party, we'll not win of course as there are too few of us, but we may win a seat or three and that will help us build influence. So I suppose the question should be what do you think we can do to help you or vice versa as things stand?"

"See, this is why i think we can agree on as cultures on a long Term. Our people believe in that while you should be respectful, it does not mean you should just take every thing told you as truth. Knowledge comes from Questioning, not from accepting. A lot of People in Uburzis are rubbed by communism the wrong way. They control for the sake of power, they want obedience over understanding. Let's put it this way, while a cadet would suffer the consequences for disobeying rules, we kind of expect him to do so, and accept the consequences of his actions. We want them to take the risk and accept that sometimes you have to take both the Sugar bread and the whip, and not go empty handed because you wanted evade one."

Albrecht then leaned back nodding slowly. He wasn't really sure how much Nicolaus really knew, he would probably have to go for the reverred mother: "For the foreseeable future i will attempt to ensure our Nation will make a clear line between the truthsayers as education and the truthsayers that is the milita fighting in kaitane. That should be the best path of progression for now to undermine efforts to badmouth your faith for now. As for help? I think a partner that allows us to upkeep our stance on sovereignty on the long haul would be welcome. My game here is to make us long lasting Partners, and that takes initial investments in trust, so to speak."

Glancing down the window, Albrecht nodded: "I wish the Kids at the Palace would be able to be so careless again. The loss of their Parents took a heavy toll on all of them. And i have to push Orion a bit more than i feel comfortable with right now, yet the World won#t wait for him to grow up much longer."

"Many Bene Gesserit have known losses." Niklaus said joining Albrecht at the window and waving to his children who had spotted him. "Take Nivenden" he saw where his cocubine was sat her feet dangling in the water reading a book at one end of the pool. "She may look a sweet young woman, her father was killed getting her mother who was pregnant out of Kaitaine. Just weeks after her birth her mother returned to the desert to seek revenge, that was 24 years ago now and we have no idea if her mother is dead or alive. Most families of Bene Gesserit can tell similar stories but we trust that our actions to keep our faith alive will be rewarded and so we go forward. Mundus will slowly begin to realise the contribution our faith has made to the advancement of Mundus. One day our great scholars will reveal themselves and when the archives open up the world will marvel at the Missionara's accomplishements." He was rather proud of the scholars, he intended to make sure his children recieved tutoring from some of them when they aged, he had high hopes for his children and knew the Sisterhood would take a deep interest in them.

"If we're looking at supporting each other what would you say if I offered you a chance of some sort of embassy between us. I can probably persuade Finley to permit us a similar arrangement to the Lodjain court, you know ambassadors living on site so to speak. In return we post a Missionara to your nation? Or is this going a step to far too quick."

Albrecht slowly tipped his idnexfinger several times against this lips, contemplating the suggestion:

"An officially posted Missionara could just be the bold move we need. It's a symbol of the new public leadership, a sign of contracts, open arms. That you can talk and cooperate with your Religion perfectly normal." Walking circles around the chair albrecht starred empty at the ceiling:

"We'd need some added security, can't have Mc Pherson sabotage it. From what i understood a chapterhouse needs a holy house, so that's out of the Question. But i can see posting a Missionara and supporting staff could just be working. And Mark the Empire as open minded, something people thought us not to be for declining the MCUR. Also i do not think we need a specialty Ambassador. Just, maybe you know an organic producing company that would export via airship to us? I know, it doesn't seem to lukrative, but my nation is starving for new markets that adhere to our standards. That would please our People way more than an Ambassador with additional rights. Maybe Whiskey? It doesn't rot, you don't need plastics for packaging at all, and your Nations prouds itself rightly for it. It would be a win on both sides if we find a company willing to adhere to our standards. the Senates are a Pain in the Arse when it comes to that, ignoring that we need new markets else our economy will completely derail."

Looking back out of the Window, Albrecht shook his head: "I don't want to be the one to tell a Father his son got mutilated and his corpse desecrated tomorrow. I hope it wasn't one of your people. They suffer enough thanks to McPherson and that false Communism."

Niklaus thought for a moment, "Had it not been for my brother having other duties I would have suggested him as being a fitting ambassador of sorts, I would however be keen for our Reverend Mother to appoint Simon Fremen, he's the heir to his families titles, this makes him well connected the family have a long history of sending their daughters to the Chapterhouses. He's a decent man and someone I would trust implicitly. However without an official title we could simply just post him there for business reasons, he is after all a rather decent business lawyer." Niklaus was pretty confident that the Reverend Mother would support his appointment once suggested by Niklaus, the man might not be an ambassador in name but his presence would be useful.

"As for establishing a company I'm in the fortunate position to have quiet a bit of wealth." He went to his desk and picked up a card and handed it to his guest. " This is my accountants details. What I perhaps suggest is that we grow here the malts and hops required for producing ale here, conforming of course to your nations standards. We then send them to your nation and they are processed into an ale. I think $4million should be enough to set up a micro-brewery. Once Kaitaine is free there is a rather nice beer brewed using our spice Melange, we'd then already have a customer for it in the brewery." Niklaus smiled, "You find me someone who can run it, we'll pay for it." He knew it would create a small income if lucky but the fact it would create a few jobs in the Neu Uburzis economy may help on the PR front.

"I don't think ale would work, but we can work something exact out. Whiskey seems more logical, seeing as it is an expensive luxury to start with, taking the time it needs to ripen in caskets. The slow Transport won't add to much for the operating costs to start with. Didn't think we could see the days actual Cargo Sailors would get back on the map."

Pacing along the walls, Albrecht nodded slowly:

"So, a Missionata and Mister Fremen. I think we can sell it as Bene Gesserit Information Center. Maybe you set up a sort of Temple right with it? It would make you an officially institutionalized Religion in Neu Uburzis. Maybe we add a little Bene Gesserit History Museum. Doesn't hurt to get some Propaganda of our own rolling."

Albrecht checked his watch, before turning back to Nikolaus:

"How long until we meet King Finley again?"

Niklaus was rather pleased with how things had gone with the exception of the ale, "Well you see our people are more ale drinkers, we don't get much peat back in the area around Seitch so that hasn't really meant we have much to do with whiskey, however I'm sure I can find a willing distillary keen to get its goods sold in your nation." Niklaus already had a few in mind, after all your family didn't spend some 100 years in Ui Cenneslaig without learning a thing or two about the local booze. "As for the Temple, we don't really have them as such, you see its hard to build one to God/Gods that you don't fully understand, we tend to build simply places of meditation, libraries too, but some kind of meditation hall would be nice and the musuem would be considered very in keeping with our faiths obsession with knowledge."

With their talks seemingly at a point where they had a way forward Niklaus sent a message to Adeen, King Finley's aide and an hour later they were making their way over to the King's Claith residency. It was clear that it didn't get much use what with Finley prefering to spend his time out in the countryside at one of his various estates. Niklaus' car was waved straight through and soon they made their way into Finely's study.

"Gentleman, I trust you've had a productive afternoon. I for one have spent it signing a wheel barrow full of paperwork that if I'm honest I only half understand but young Adeen tells me is neccessary for the smooth running of the Kingdom....or something" he shrugged as he joined them on the couches that sat either side of a coffee table. "So I hope you've got what you needed" the King spoke to Albrecht, "Anything else we need to do for you while you're here?" he asked.

Finley borrowed thanks to Kris

"We did have some productive ideas. Actually surprisingly a lot of it was economical. Setting up trade lines, and suggestions. Seems Uin ceneslaig might see Sail Freighters for the first time in a century again."

Albrecht nodded slightly as he paced across the study: "And i know the feeling with the Paperwork, feels a bit like doing a younger siblings homework for me."

Albrecht then pulled out a small file, naming Wilhelmina of Uburzis on top. Added with a Top Secret Label.

"I guess since i teased it, we shouldn't dance around this Person. Inside is all we know about the Murder of that poor boy. But to understand why i have to be careful with her, there's another part of the story."

He took a seat, nodding: "She murdered Orions Mother, Empress Alexandra. Together with her husband they had plotted to poison her with Polonium. At a Family gathering, that Wilhelmina didn't attend, they had loyal workers to her poison the drinking water. Her Husband, my cousin, screwed up though and got poisoned himself. at the same time, Orion wasn't there because he had gotten himself in trouble at school and wasn't allowed to go home for the weekend."
Albrecht shook his head several times: "Now, here is the catch. If an Emperor or Empress dies, the oldest living child automatically inherits the title. Alexandra lived to see all of her children that where on that trip Die ahead of her, making Orion the next Emperor. With one problem. Wilhelmina disputed the Death certificate, claiming her husband died later. Her base was one of the Doctors, who retreated his Statement later. But she still has the original document, and while she is alive, this document could pressure a political crisis. Especially since by the Elder Senates order, and without me agreeing, it isn't even public knowledge it was a murder. To the public it was acute organic lead poisoning. I wasn't appointed regent yet when the decision was made, and i do not wish to fight our highest democratic council. But i think you can see the issue. A covered up murder and a woman willing to kill. I can only start to solve this if i can get the public to see what monster Wilhelmina is. And me linking her to that murder, of your citizen, would be the piece of the puzzle i need to end her threat to my nation."

He then tilted his head slightly: "Talking about threat to my nation, do you have any other idea what sort of good makes sense to import from un ceneslaig to neu uburzis? Our Senates are hardliner Environmentalists, so i need something we don#t have. We already had agreed that Whiskey made by organic standards for example might be a good start, but i'd be glad for any input."

"Well the Cennegs have a reputation for woollen clothing and fabrics, and if your looking for organics clothing doesn't come much more organic than simply giving a sheep a haircut and using natural dyes. We've also got salmon farms, but can't beat the taste of natural stream caught ones which we could also export. My understanding however is that you have rather unique shipping methods though so the freshness could be an issue. Added to that we have lots of wild game such as venison wandering the hills, not sure how that would go down with your people if their worried about the environment but meat doesn't get anymore organic" Finly said as he considered what other products they could ship abroad.

"As for this Wilhelmina, sounds like she could be a problem. We have no desire for chaos in your nation so if you have anything you need us to do in terms of the investigation then just let me know and we can see what can be done."

"Just have your Police do their job for now, and if you can, make a move on her. As i mentioned, if another nation can break her public image, it#s a whole different story than me trying to say anything bad about her. Also, she did also murder one of your citizens. I'll leave all files we have on it with you."

Putting some fingers down on a desk he watched the skies outside the windows: "Woven Handiwork seems like a good choice. Fresh produce is just more complicated, it needs to be shipped with the airships that use Biodiesel engines. You can imagine how much more expansive this makes the product in no time. It's often a question if it pays out in the end, really. As i i had explained to Mister corrino, Whiskey in itself already is a high class product, so the extra shipment weighs less overall. Maybe we can works something out and send some beef over to you in Return. I think our Marketing currently tries to Market it as WoW-Gyu, it really is a kind of it's own. Trading with us can be a hassle, the Senates are still very Isolationistic in their mindset, ti will take a while to warm them up. Albrecht then whipped slightly in his chair, tilting his head: "You don't happen to have a source of Organic Cocoabeans, do you? You would really make a lot of kids happy."

Finley placed the file to one side, "I'll have our police check things out and if there is a chance of something standing up in a court of law they'll make an arrest. It may not lead to full charges but if your mostly interested in damaging reputations then I'm sure we can ensure that happens." He would leave it up to the Chief Constable to sort things out but was pretty sure that with a few well placed phone calls he could get the charges of something bit levelled against her.

"As for cocoa beans you must be kidding" Finley smiled broadly. They need a lovely warm climate and this is the Highlands, you're likely to find nothing but fog, rain and the odd bit of snow here. Sadly our climate doesn't see fit to bless us with that, I suggest Paracambi or some of the islands of Bakkermaya, they seem a little more suited to growing those than the Cenneg climate."

"Paracambi and Bakkermaya? I must admit i hadn't thought of them, so far i had hoped for the iwi but interaction with them is slow. I am aware of your climate, but your suggestion alone might be helpful."

Nodding over to Corino, Albrecht tapped his finger on a nearby surface: "I think my visit has given me enough insight to ensure i can convince the senate working together with the religion of Bene Gesserit is an intelligent move. Unlike blank Terrorists like the Borlanders whose only interest is to rule and police people, your goal is to be able to live your culture in the land it was born. and that's not terrorism to fight against Oppression."

Taking a last glance towards the file on the kings desk, albrecht closed his eyes for a short moment: "And please, let us know once you find his Father or remaining family. I need to ensure we send them our condolences properly."
