OOC - Joint Post
The next hour was rather un-business like with the King allowing the guests to mix with his councillors, he could hear various discussions taking place as the two groups mingled over glasses of wine or other beverages, the King made himself rather disappear, this was all about being able to say to the Council they'd been able to meet this foreign set of dignitaries. As the King looked at his watch he spotted his aide, the young girl Adeen stood at the door scanning the room for him, rather immaturely Finley ducked down below the crowd of bodies between himself and the aide before doing his best to sneak up on her. He approached her from behind as she'd wandered to look at the back of the room, the King flanked her and was going to surprise her but as he set about tickling her in the ribs she smartly turned, "Your Majesty your car is outside" she said formally not reacting to the King's silly game, her stern face rather making Finley feel like a child.
"Oh come on, you can't expect me to sit with this lot for an hour sober and not need some fun" the King placed a friendly arm around Adeen's shoulders as they rounded up Niklaus and Albrecht. "Anyway, we'll go grab some lunch" Finley lead the pair outside and back into a car, "We're heading to a lovely little place down near the river, they have a nice table actually in the kitchen which is rather private and the smell in their is amazing" Finley was rather looking forward to his meal, the last time he'd been there was about a year ago with his wife for their anniversary.
The King was unwilling to take business as they drove the ten minutes through the city, instead enquiring about the Emperor's daily routines and the like. He recalled Orion couldn't be too much older than his own son Keane who was about to turn 12. He wondered if he should have took his son with him to the coronation, it'd been a good way to break down some barriers having a royal of a similar age make friends with him but that was in the past now, a missed opportunity. It was only as they arrived at the rear of the restaurant that Finley began to turn things to business, "I'll see you inside, I'm going to pick us out a nice bottle and when I get back hopefully you'll have determined where you want to start. Niklaus your to play host til I get back." Finley clapped Niklaus on the shoulder and disappeared inside the restaurant through the staff's back door, meanwhile Adeen escorted Niklaus and Albrecht down some steps usually reserved for the kitchen deliveries, she pushed open the door and a wall of different aroma's hit them. The smell of stewing meat, roasting vegetables, soups and grilled fish.
"Niklaus, nice to see you" the Chef extended a hand wiping it first on his rag tucked into his apron's pocket. "No Agatha with you?" he asked referring to the man's wife but before the man could answer the Chef continued, "Oh yeah, business isn't it, you'll be Prince Albrecht yes?" the chef extended a clammy hand before leading the two men to a leather semi circular booth around a circular table, it sat just on the edge of the kitchen but out of the way. A series of silver cutlery sat ready to be used and the Chef personally poured them a glass of wine. "I better get back to the kitchen, I hope you have a nice meal" he added before yelling at some young chef to keep and eye on the steak grilling.
"This place is great, my wife found it and we try and come at least once a month, sadly we can't always get this table but now I'm on the Council who knows it might be easier" the businessman chuckled as his eyes followed the swift knife action of the chef, he found it amazing how quickly they manipulated the razor sharp knives and he knew he was never that co-ordinated. "Now I understand you're likely to have many questions, I'll answer them as clearly as I can but please remember I'm not part of the leadership of the Sisterhood, I like to think they let me give my opinion but The Mothers are the ones who make the decisions." he hoped the explanation would take some of the pressure off. "So before the King gets back where do you want to start?" he asked as he heard the familiar laugh of the King making his way down the stares sharing a joke with one of the waiting staff bringing empty plates back to the kitchen.
