Marriage Audience 2 - East Moreland & Neu Urburzis
« on: April 07, 2020, 05:18:29 PM »
David had not long said so long to Finley having concluded their talks. He had just enough time to let Quinn restock the supplies of pastries and drinks before he expected someone from Neu Uburzis to arrive. He was rather interested to see who would turn up as their request had been a little vague in that regard but it was a meeting he was looking forward to. He liked the young Emperor and found his family to be mostly good people. His daughter Rhiannon was fond of their young Prince, the pair having become friends during her visit to a zoo there that had sparked the Crocodile incident. He knew too that his wife Stasya, saying that still made him smile, was good friends with one of their Princesses due to their fashion connections. The two nations hadn't really spoken for a while despite having made various friendly gestures focusing around the young royals towards each other.

Quinn would once again handle the arrival and show the representative into the Kings office, hopefully speaking loud enough for David to get some advance warning of which the Neu Urburzis delegation was present. The King stretched his legs one last time before he suspected another hour long meeting would begin.

A whole entourage of Toga wearing Tunics walked in, Orion wearing his Golden wreath was having a hard time to hold Augustin back long enough so he wouldn't raid the Pastries first thing upon entry.

Aside from Orion and the new Crown Prince, it was Adelheid and Albrecht, but both stayed back to give room for several of the Elder Senators.

Henriette Herrlich was particularly glad to see Stasya, whom she considered vital competition to her own family brands revival.

Saskia Hohenrod had little experience with the Morelandish Court, so she avoided it until now. Yet at least one Person had to visit from the faith, Even as she herself still didn't consider Death the Best choice.

the Last two to Enter where Erik Schultz, Grandmaster of what was now the Trinity Church, and Sebastian, the oldest of Orions Nephews, already a couple centimeters taller.

"All our best wishes." Orion started, approaching David and Stasya: "King David, Queen Stasya." he smiled as he said the second one: "I am honored to deliver my nations Best wishes for the Both of you. Senator Herrlich and Princess Adelheid have pooled their companies for a wedding gift."

Several people rolled in racks of clothing

"We figured we should make any potential visits to our Empire as sweet as possible. We know you like wearing Tunics here as well, so we assumed you can find use for all of this no matter what. We have Thirty different base tunics for different Weather for each of you. From Silk to Wool, for Reception or Gardening. We have made some Extra for Rhiannon just to make sure she can grow some more."

Augustin waved a bit hearing his friends name, showing his scar on the neck to the king while Orion was still officially starting the meeting, who gently patted him on the head: "Later." as he continued:

"Of course, there is Thirty Togae to go along. So, if you feel, you can wear the Moreland Flag on your Body, the Obligatory Purple Toga if you ever visit us and need to speak to our Senate, and some washable Designs for Rhiannon. Just tell us once the next pack of Prince and princesses comes along so we can send you more." he smiles with a chuckle:

"We are all happy for you, and hope it will last."

The delegation from Neu Urburzis while being extremely large was also clearly well informed, there was no better way of getting in King David's good graces than doing something nice for Rhiannon was always going to help. They must have also realised that Stasya would be delighted with gifts of clothing. Stasya rose from the sofa and went and began inspecting the racks making sure to occasionally pull one off the rail and make some comment about how she liked it, or the skill of the craftsmanship. While she may still be a novice to the world of diplomacy she knew enough about how the fashion world worked to say the right thing. "Thank you Emperor" Stasya address the young monarch. She would have some of them adjusted, some to cling more to her curves, others a little shorter and the like, after all she had to be individual.

"A very kind gift" David said as he watch Stasya happily exploring the rack of the clothing. David spoke next to Augustin, "Sadly Rhiannon is down in Portworth today, seeing as me as Stasya are leaving East Moreland for a week she is staying with her mother Matilda. However if you have the time I'm sure she'd be delighted to see you before you head home. We can arrange for you to travel down to Portworth. I know Matilda could arrange a very private tour of the Maritime Institute there if you wish, you could meet Rhiannon's other animal friend, a Dolphin called Bobby." The Dolphin had been looked after by Matilda for years when she joined the Institute as a researcher long before she had become the short lived Queen of East Moreland, it was blind in one eye and missing half a flipper so returning him to the wild hadn't really been an option.

"We're both delighted that you came. Neu Urburzis has become a nation that the people of East Moreland have become rather fond of and I know they'd support us co-operating on more and more matters. I appreciate though your nation has a long history of staying away from international treaties like the MCUR and the like. I know the last time we spoke through various channels you were considering something about medical co-operation between various nations. Is that still something you're looking at?" David asked.
