"Just two weeks ago, my life was challenged by a group of radicals. A car drove by the Capitol Building the same time I was entering. This car had a gunman in it, who attempted to end my life. This gunman missed every shot they took, allowing me to escape the area unharmed. Unfortunately, I had to leave my nation and it's people after this assassination attempt took place, resulting in a "Failed Revolution." This revolution was started by extremists who worship a long outdated ideology. Sadly, these extremists took two innocent civilians with them to the grave. I would like to express my deepest condolences for the deceased citizens as well as their families. I can't help but feel I am the one to blame for letting the political sphere of Fifeton reach this point. Because of this, I have come up with a plan for the future of Fifeton."

"The Failed Revolution has showed me and my administration that dissidents may not be trusted to run an opposition party. Because of this, I am temporarily ceasing elections. While this may seem like an extreme measure, we are in a crisis. As of now, opposition to my administration can not occur. Any opposition to the government will be met with swift action from law enforcement. I would like to remind the citizens of this great nation that I am not a supporter of authoritarianism, I am merely doing what is right for my country. And if becoming a dictator is what it takes, then by all means I will do it. Now, as citizens of a new and improved Fifeton, I would like to say one last thing. Let us come together, united once again!"

Terranova City has descended into chaos today, after Jim Cobalt was shot at by a moving car when entering the Capitol Building. Cobalt has been confirmed to be uninjured as his body guards sprung into action quickly and effectively. Unfortunately, rumors have spread that Jim Cobalt was killed in the incident. Following this, multiple groups of communist revolutionaries took this as a sign to rise up against the government's administration. These revolutionaries caused havoc in Terranova City Central Plaza, resulting in the death of two citizens. The military was dispatched and the revolutionaries have been apprehended. Terranova City is still under martial law and will be so until Jim Cobalt is ready to lead the nation once again.

After what started as local worker strikes in Terranova City have turned into full scaled riots. The Fifetonian Nation Guard has stepped in and peacefully handled the situation. Jim Cobalt is expected to make a speech regarding the situation soon. Finally, The Fifeton National News Station would like to remind the population that strikes and riots are illegal and will result in legal punishments.

"The old government in power stripped the rights of the Fifetonians away. I want to give the citizens these rights back." Jim would stand outside of the car, waiting for David to exit.

The Democratic Republic of Fifeton was formed after the "Bloody Revolution" when the Empire of Fotaria was overthrown. Former Fotarian regions declared their independence and created a diplomatic union between each other. Eventually, these regions joined together to create the Confederation of Fifeton. Unfortunately, a combination of a weak government and a dying economy paved the road for corporate businesses to take control of the country. Fifeton was officially renamed to the Democratic Republic of Fifeton. The nation is now ruled by a CEO, as large businesses run the country.
