KAAC Bid
Kwuy Anan Aircraft Company would like to bid the Kwuyalshalk H-18 Strike Condor to Cascadia.
In the event of a deal being formed, the Kwuyalshalk H-18, under modifications for the Cascadian Air Force(language, other adaptations), could be referred as the ‘Cascadian KH-18 Strike [national bird]’.
The KH-18 SC was specifically designed for a Close Air Support and Ground Strike roles. It’s armed with a 30mm rotary autocannon, effective against personnel and armor, at a rate of fire of 2,400 rds/min. The KH-18 SC can use advanced precision guided
AGM missiles, small diameter guided bombs and mounted rocket pods on its many eight external hardpoints. Sets of two can carry 1,000 and 2,000 lb loads while the other four hardpoints are rated for 2,500 pound loads. These four are also plumbed for external fuel tanks.
The KH-18 SC is lightweight, highly maneuverable, adaptable and efficient, allowing for long loiter times in a particular area. It has a comprehensive electronic suite, including EW and ECM capability.
3 and 4. The KH-18 SC is very capable of operating under conditions where air supremacy isn’t viable. It’s high maneuverability, range and EW capability makes it capable of air-to-air combat if necessary.
5. The KH-18 SCs armor is composed of lightweight ‘metal foam’ otherwise known as
composite metal foams(CMF), which is capable of stopping high caliber sounds entirely. Armor is focused on vital parts of the plane, like the fuel tank, cockpit , engine and flight avionics.
Additional attributes is the pusher design of the KH-18 SC, the six bladed prop engine is shrouded in an armored clamshell separate from the internal fuselage, fire bay suppression systems is included. As the KH-18 SC was designed for mountainous operation where altitudes and cold can cause potential icing, the engine comes with a deicing system, composed of layers of conductors encased in materials that are bonded directly to the airframe structure. When ice accumulates on the aircraft, an electric current is sent through the conductors, causing them to pulse, this movement is enough to pulverize ice, even in flight.
On board avionics consist of a multi-mode pulse doppler radar system mounted on the forward radome and a multi spectral targeting system.
The aircraft can be configured for a 1 seat or 2 seat layout, in order to reduce workload and expand roles done by the aircraft at once, such as electronic warfare.
The KH-18 SC generally comes with most standard conventions in modern military aircraft, such as ejection seats, backup oxygen, etc.
Base Flyaway Cost: 18 million
