Chilling in Harko

24,322 people have now successfully joined the Theocracy of Kaitaine, the liberation of Harko meaning our nations population has now passed the 100,000 mark and while that excites me we still have so much more to do. With Harko under the black and orange flag of the Theocracy the road before us opens to Secundas and from there all things are possible. The fight for Harko was brief, bloody and successful. Our forces swept aside perimeter defences with ease while brave locals, who had now been shown hope trampled on for decades, took matters into their own hands and ridded themselves of the KDF. Sadly 103 brave Bene Gesserit brothers and sisters fell under the bullets of the invaders but these heroes enabled us to ensure Harko shall be free forever more.

I've been in this frontier town now just over a week and its strange, we see the odd KDF patrol and the odd long range fire fight breaks out, like prizefighters weary of what each other is capable of we exchange jabs but neither of us dive in for that haymaker blow. The KDF however are the aging Prizefighter, their best years behind them and living on past glories holding on stoically for "just one more" fight in hopes of recapturing their former heights, but in the Truthsayers they face that hungry up and coming champion, smart enough to know to save their power for when the old man is running on empty and so we hold back, we dance with them looking for the right moment to strike. When that moment comes it will devestate the enemy, send them sprawling and unable to regain their feet they will be forced to watch as their younger, better, more powerful opponent stands over them victorious. We know though that just one wrong move on our parts, one over confident moment and that old right uppercut will spell our own doom, and so we each bide our time waiting for that opening. Its frustrating, we want this over, we want our homeland back and we want to cast out the evils of the Soviet regime. As we entered Harko we heard of families being seperated, men conscripted into the military, children sent away to ensure they are educated in the ways of the Soviet, the government not even trusting its own people to educate their own children for fear that young ears will hear the truth of Soviet depravity and turn towards the light of the Bene Gesserit.

Harko though does give us something Seicth doesn't, space. The narrow streets of that beautiful old city that holds a place special in any Bene Gesserit heart can at times be oppressive as you walk through the sandstone skyscrappers streets. Harpo though with its semi-arid scrub countryside allows you to see to the horizon, allows you to spread out and enjoy being outdoors. The dust is less here and that means we're able to spend more time perfecting our skills rather than having to constantly clear our equipment of the harsh coarse desert sand, or the foul poisonous chemicals the KDF drop on us. Harpo brings some luxuries too, they even have a swimming baths, its in need of some TLC but while the KDF focused on turning this into a garrison town we've done something that shows just how much of a force of invasion they are, we've turned it into a home. Yesterday the pool opened, children attended a pool party and could play, splash and more importantly smile for the first time in a long time. They did not have to watch the words that came from their lips for fear of the KDF punishing them for complaining, for demanding more, demanding better. To see their happiness made this whole war worth it, and soon those smiles, giggles and whoops of delight will spread, next is Secundas and then our ever focused eye turns to the River lands of Silia. The prophecies our Missionara tell us of speak of their being a day a sandstorm from the desert will scour the lands leave them renewed and clean, that is not a weather report, the Truthsayers are that desert storm and we shall ride the rivers from Silia to Arrakken and as we do the KDF will face not just the might of the Jeboah and Pangolins[1] but of the very people they live alongside. Just as Harko rose up against evil so will everywhere else. We will be the outriders of Shai Halud[2] and our passing shall clense the world.
 1. Truthsayers wear the Jeboah as their beret badge while men fighting for the Bene Gesserit belong to a unit called the Pangolins
 2. metaphor used like the concept of the Grim Reaper in the Bene Gesserit faith
