"DESCENDENT OF HELUS MOST LOVED" SAYS PROTECTORATE SAFE In a shock revelation a video blog has today appeared on the internet showing the cousin of King David of East Moreland, James Ironside, stating he has spent three months working in the Celtic Protectorate and found it to be "among the most friendly and welcoming" experiences of his life. The 32 year old is a wanted man by his homeland, and perhaps several other nations, having first staged a coup against his cousin before escaping prison with the aid of a terrorist group known as the Borlanders who used him as a propaganda tool before he escaped their clutches and spent the next few years in hiding. Occasionally there have been reports of him in several nations around the world where it appears he has sought refuge probably utilising false identities. James was stripped of his title of Prince along with all other titles and privledges. The exact manner in which he entered the nation is unknown however in the video it appears to have been filmed outside of Royal Seleucid. The 12 minute long video saw him talk of photography work there and he produced several images showing himself in front of landmarks known to be inside the Protectorate. The video saw him state, "I lived among people in a village where they claim the first Knights from East Moreland arrived almost six centuries ago and set up their little Temple, it was from here that the faith in Royal Seleucid grew. The villagers were fiercely proud of that and openly displayed themselves as Cultists to everyone they could. They called themselves the "Original Seleucid Cultists" and made me feel very welcome. I would have been interested to see their reaction if they'd have known who I truly was but thankfully that never came out. I fear if they had then the wonderous welcome they gave me would have dried up. They had refused to flee during the genocide fearing never being able to return to the Temple they loved and apparently around half the village died trying to defend it. It was obviously a sad tale but they spoke with such pride of the efforts they had taken. You'd have expected people so badly wronged to be resentful and fearful of their homeland but that isn't the case. They love the land they live in, the Seleucid are I understand a race that believe hospitality to guests is a requirement and they've certainly adapted to that. Would a group who were fearful of their home be so generous? I don't think so."
James went on to say. "One of the best moments was walking around a marketplace in a town on the edge of the desert. I was trying to capture the vibrant beauty of the fabric and fruit stalls but found it hard. It wasn't hard because of any trouble, just I had so many people wanting to help, and children desperate to have their photo taken. They approached strangers happily and were very very cheerful. I never once felt in danger, never once felt that these people were putting on some kind of show and it felt like the Cenneg soldiers in the region were just decorations rather than serving any purpose."
The blog has yet to be verified however King Heydar was quick to comment on it saying. "I have naturally a problem with the video in the fact that a convicted criminal has somehow been able to enter our nation so freely. More worrying is the fact he was able to move around the Celtic Protectorate so easily, and they are a nation allied with East Moreland, the nation this criminal is from and wanted in. They failed to help capture one of their greatest friends worst enemies, are the Celts really as switched on to security as they should be or are they just focusing on the now extinct threat from other Seleucids? What the world must see though is we now have a man with importance in the Cultist world saying how safe he was in the country. I have been told the Ironside family is descended according to the Cult from a man called Raimond Unasson, a man whose story states that he was a great warrior beloved of the God Helus and thus his bloodline is honoured by the Cultists. James is an Ironside so possibly a great, great, great and so on nephew of this Raimond Unasson, the Cults great hero. If the bloodline of a practical demi-god supports the safety of Cultists the world should listen."
It is understood that the East Moreland ambassador to Royal Seleucid, who is based in the Protectorate rather than Ipsus, has sent the King a formal request to increase scrutiny of those leaving the country in case James Ironside hasn't actually left and is in hiding. King Heydar responded by saying, "Naturally should the Seleucid find a man who betrayed his family and his own people we will apprehend him. I sadly have experienced a similar experience as King David in having family betray both his own blood and his own nation. I too would seek action if they escaped justice. Naturally we would need reassurances of such a person's treatment being ethical and we would require assurances of their rights being respected fully just as any nation should for an extradition. We would however urge the Morelander King to look to his Cenneg friends for help on this matter as it would seem it is they who allowed this turncoat to slip through their fingers."
The King is likely to approach King Finley of Ui Cenneslaig in the coming days to discuss the video blog and where it leaves the Celtic Protectorate agreement.
