The Lemenia Permanent Fund (LPF)
LPF is the sovereign fund of Lemenia. Established under the constitution of Lemenia in the early 60s, the fund receives approx. 25% of all government revenues from natural resources. Since 1995 the fund also distributes dividends to all citizens of the Republic based on formula established by law. The fund current assets are 120 bln usd, almost three times the size of the GDP of the Republic.
Because of declining revenues from oil and gas, the senate is considering abolishing the dividends given to citizens and instead using that money to fund the government. The average yearly dividend given to citizens in the last three years had been 3 thousand dollars (2.1 bln usd).
