"I'm actually looking forward to deal with the Heyrans in person, sir. Hopefully Everything will go according to plan" the Secretary of Defense said as he was on his way to Heyra alongside Prime Minister Soubois for a state visit and to most importantly strike a defensive alliance with them which was of high importance given the serious circumstances revolving around the Barnacle archipelago in which they firmly believed the Heyran supremacy over it and not the Himeyans, generating of course in return serious discussions in the Ecclesiastical State whether it was the right procedure to do so and whether it would succeed or totally screw itself up.
"Well as the Holy Father told me in private during one of our weekly sessions together, the integrity of a noble Christian nation is after all under attack and sitting idly as the malicious events unfolded themselves wouldn't do any good." the Prime Minister began as he was currently in his office onboard the government plane finishing the last preparations with the SoD. Truth be told he was quite good in convincing people to be a part of his schemes. After years of political experience one knew where to push the appropriate buttons which was courtesy of the Social Democratic Party, he was after all one could term as a...Dirty Socialist.
"I wouldn't worry about if I were you my dear SoD; my mother's a Némerian and my father comes from Heyra, we should be alright regardless." the PM joked, shuffling papers and filing them in order.
"I find it fascinating that a Young couple from some of Mundus' most capitalist countries decided to emigrate to the Ecclesiastical State and that their eldest Child became affiliated with Socialism other than the opposite of the political spectrum, especially you sir could've joined the Nationalists like me." the SoD intrigued, taking a few clunks from the water bottle.
"My parents are quite of cultural necessities in Life, gosh the amount of theatre productions, operas, orchestras, museums they took me to when I was just a little scrub, even cheese and wine tastings...well at least I had the fortune to grow up in one of the most cultured countries on this planet and for that I'm dearly grateful. As for political orientation...let me tell you a secret" the PM said as he leaned closer. "I embarked on the Socialist route when after closer examination that A) it's faster to navigate through the top of the food chain, which is pretty simple considering one needs to make out-of-bounds campaign promises to these supporters and boom, one rank after the other you propell through and the other point which I think you can testify to my friend, B) Socialist politicians can do whatever they want without political repurcussions as the voters seem to have minds worth of a gloldfish's while gaining the ability to blame the oppositition flawlessly." they both laughed. "So you see it's true after all, Socialists and Money are a deadly duo in the political World.
"That sounds about right, I take it then that no matter which party you would have chosen, the same result would have ended up being your excellency becoming our great Prime Minister serving the Holy Father." the SoD concluded to which Soubois nodded in approval. "Well I'll just rest my eyes for a bit, I'll see you later sir." he exited the room and made his way to the quarters.
The PM leaned back in his chair and looked straight into the ceiling, before succumbing to the standard procedure of taking an afternoon nap.
