Clans of the Daitōjin Aristocracy
This thread is intended to provide information on the major families of the Daitōjin Aristocracy. These families, often referred to as clans both in foreign and local media, make up the Kazoku and the Imperial Family and are typically, though it is not necessarily the case 100% of the time, among the wealthiest families in Daitō, with many having founded corporations such as Aizawa-Shinoda and Zayasu. Ōhara Hidemasa, who was one of the principle authors of the Keiyo constitution, intended for the kazoku to serve as a political and social bulwark for the Emperor and the Daitōjin Imperial Institution, and although the system persists to this day, starting in the early 1980s, the old titles began to reemerge.
