SUCCESSFUL PSILOI GUN TESTS

The nations eagerly awaited Psiloi tank has today moved a step closer as the gun system has been approved by the consortium responsible for the production. The Mk.2 Verdant Gun has today fired its 5,000th shot and been declared ready for mass production. The 120mm weapon will be the tanks primary weapon with a remote operated weapons system as a secondary. While testing of the gun has been undertaken various tests of armour composites has also been taking place. It is expected the first prototype will be handed over to the army in early 2024.

May I begin by thanking the ACA and Emperor Marco for this kind invitation and honour. I am no footballer myself but I have enjoyed the trials and tribulations of following AK Grenva which sadly over the past seasons has been a rather traumatic experience. I am happy to accept your invitation and will be sending my best wishes in terms of your efforts in the bidding process. I am looking forward to a great tournament and hope to be in Abertone soon.

Best Regards

To:- His Majesty King David III

If we may we would like to send the refurbished Lightvessel known as Apollo's Beacon. to your Festival of Sail. This vessel once stood along our coast to mark hazards in areas unsuitable for traditional light houses. The Apollos Beacon has now been repurposed into a "Light Show Vessel", meaning its lighting system now is capable of producing shows featuring laser projection and lights. If permitted the ship would be anchored close to the venue but far enough out to allow it to undertake performances at night.

Being a former naval officer myself I would like to attend in person however this is not possible at this time. Instead I would appreciate it if you would allow a brief visit with my neice Lady Filippa Andreas as I would like her to convey an offer from our nation to yours.

Best Wishes

Queen Atalanta

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

After failing to secure a partnership with our friends in the S.U.N. the Ministry of Defence have selected Aspis as the company to manufacture the next generation of medium tank for the Cassiopeian armed forces

Project Psiloi will eventually produce a medium tank with the following characteristics

Its weight will be just under 38tonnes, this is to allow it to cope with some of the poorer quality woodland paths in the highlands of Cassiopeia.
It will maintain a four man crew bringing it in line with the Arges main battle tank.
The tank will be armed with 120mm rifled main gun capable of firing various types of round.
In addition initial plans are for the tank to be equipped with a remote weapons system allowing the commander to operate it with minimal need to leave the safety of the crew compartment. The intention is that this will also contain an IR Jammer.
The tank will have a hard kill defence system, and composite armours.
The aim is that the tank will have a top speed of around 50mph and a range of 600km.

The initail design means the Psiloi tank will appear something like the images below.

To our friends in S.U.N.

In the coming years we shall replace our Brontes tank. The Brontes has been designed as a rather unconventional tank with an emphasis on low observability and crew protection. We are hoping that a future design, currently being called Project Psiloi will replace it. This tank is designed to fulfil a light to medium tank role. We would invite our friends in the S.U.N. to join us in this project in a similar manner as we did with the Zarptica fighter. If acceptable we shall impose the same arrangement as that project where each nation shall identify providers for certain aspects of the tank and then each of us shall hold 25% of the rights to any sales of the tank.

We are hopeful you will join us in this project.

Best Regards
Queen Atalanta of Cassiopeia.

INTERNAL MEMO

Following the demise of the Rokkenjiman Crown Princess and the seeming raise to prominence of Charles Ofdensen the Realm of Cassiopeia is preparing manoeuvres for our military forces. In the past we have seen several issues with our South-Eastern neighbours and now we have had Charles Ofdensen state that we are part of some global conspiracy we have reason to be nervous. As such we would appreciate if nations would share with us intelligence they may have on matters related to Rokkenjima in any form.

To Chief Justice Stone

While we appreciate your swift respone to our request we are disappointed.

We shall of course have no choice but to stand by the decsion of the courts. We also believe however that the Decree for Rights of Nature[/ur] have been violated. Large deposits of iron in the environment have been known to harm and change the make up of protoplankton and as such mean that this vital part of the ecosystem will no longer be able to " regenerate its vital cycles" in its natural manner. Furthermore we also believe other actions under taken by the ROkkenjiman state could be interpreted as failing in the legally ascribed need for  "The First Empire will apply precaution and restriction measures in all the activities that can lead to the extinction of species, the destruction of the ecosystems or the permanent alteration of the natural cycles.".

It is also our belief that the Uppsala Convention makes clear that each soldier is responsible for their actions and therefore if  Admiral Sugimoto Kisho is facing action then every individual in the "Kill chain" should also as they had the responsibility to not act against the Convention and also national, in their case Rokkenjiman, law. The Uppsala Convention states "National Governments shall not employ weapons, projectiles and methods and materials of warfare designed to cause , or can be expected to cause widespread, long-term and severe damage to the natural environment." The Uppsala Convention makes it the responsibility of every soldier to follow this.

WMO (CASSIOPEIA) TAKES ACTION IN DEFENCE OF SEA LIFE

Telis Latsis is the CEO of Coastal Management Solutions, a company that have made an ongoing business of creating sustainable coastal businesses, his portfolio of business interests range from a tidal wave station to a small marina which aims to offer "environmentally themed holidays." . Today however Mr.Latsis put his name to a court document which is seeking to put the Empress of Rokkenjima, as Commander in Chief of their Armed Forces, in the dock. Following the launching on a test missile used to sink a combat vessel in Peniche Bay Mr.Latsis utilised Rokkenjimas "Declaration of Rights' for Cetaceans and Elephants" to bring action against what the Co-Chair of Wild Mundus Organisations Cassiopeian branch has called "Eco-Terrorism". The Decree aims to protect Cetaceans and Elephants and Mr.Latsis is acting on behalf of the whales, purpoise and various other types of Cetacean that inhabit the bay and surrounding regions. Under Article 5 of the Decree ". Cetaceans and elephants have the right to the protection of their natural environment." and in this case Mr.Latsis says this is not the case.

"I have been involved in several environmental engineering projects in my time. I've also sadly seen warships hit by missiles during my time fighting against the Junta. From both ends of this I know that there is no way, even if as stated the ship had minimal fuel, that the environment will not be damaged. Prior to any ship being used for an artificial reef a clean up period of around 12 months is required. During this process it is vital that you remove liquid fuels and oils and even greases so that no visible sheen is remaining on the tank surfaces. This requires full draining and then flushing. With an engine having propelled the ship to a reported 27 knots it is clear that no flushing, a process which takes a great deal of time, can have been carried out. We now face the prospect of these leaking into the environment. The process of removing such liquids is so tricky that many opt instead to aim for the removal of the equipment and piping, something clearly not done on this occasion. Even when doing this in normal circumstances many find it is  less expensive to remove and dispose of the engines than toclean the oil from them. It is even suggested that Hydraulic pumps and associated piping and fittings should either be removed or drained and flushed clean. None of these processes can happen at sea while a ship is in operation, especially with an incoming missile. It is also to be expected that all batteries are removed from the vessel prior to sinking. If as stated the system was being run by an ICON remote control system electronic systems must have been operational meaning batteries are onboard. The manner of the sinking also provides issues to artificial reefing. By using a missile in the manner described in RBC there was no controlled explosion meaning the exact sinking would be hard to achieve. Furthermore with the documented inaccuracies of such weapons being reported it would also mean a controlled explosion was impossible. As such it is often necessary to remove sharpened edges on ships used as reefs. Having had a hole blasted into the ship means this has not taken place. All these things lead us to think this sinking will have a negative impact on the environment. The sinking seems more about Rokkenjima demonstrating military technology with a laissez faire attitude towards how such acts will impact the creatures their decree claims to protect. On this occasion they have been found lacking in their credentials for these creatures. With the Rokkenjima constitution therefore stating in Article Article 11. "The Empress has the supreme command of the Imperial Armed Forces." It is she who must carry the can on this occasion and should be brought to court."

It is expected that several other WMO figures may make similar calls in the coming days. Mr. Latsis also stated the location of the test could be seen as an acknowledgement of Nimbyism. "The missile could just have easily struck a moving target in Rokkenjiman waters, instead they choose to do it well away from their own shores. Some more quizical members of the public may ask if this is because it would be known that there is no way to carry out this kind of test without the ship contaminating the waters."

The Palace has not commented so far except to say "Mr.Latsis is free to act in a capacity he sees fit as a private citizen and environmental campaigners. The Cassiopeian government however would like to reassure its own citizens that it would not risk damage to the ocean intentionally. As we are drawn from the heart of Poseidon we view his realm as one to take careful stewardship over." As of yet the Rokkenjiman courts have not commented on the request for action issued by Mr.Latsis.

To Whom it May Concern

Today is was announced via RBC that your nations navy had sunk a ship as it " moves through the Peniche demonstrates a Rokkenjiman capability to strike a target regardless of where it is, or if it is mobile"

For a moving vessel to be struck that vessel must contain fuel, coolant, oils and various other chemicals including such elements as batteries. This is even before we examine the extent to which corrosion of other parts needed for movement are considered. As such it is impossible for such an action to not have environmental damage.

As the Declaration of Rights' for Cetaceans and Elephants states "Cetaceans and elephants have the right to the protection of their natural environment.". By the intentional sinking of such a vessel in such a manner we believe that the Rokkenjiman Navy, and therefore its commander in Chief have failed to do such. As a result we are bringing a case of their behalf for breaching the Declaration and damaging the rights laid out under Rokkenjiman law.

Signed

Mr. Telis Latsis
Co-Chair of Cassiopian branch of WMO.

The Emperors whirlwind marriage was a surprise to Atalanta and most of Mundus if the reports were anything to go by. The Paracambians were one of the founder members of S.U.N. and that would be enough of a reason for Cassiopeia to attend the coronation, although six coronations seemed a bit extreme. Atalanta was looking forward to the event and she had no surprise that the event was already being well attended. To see all these monarchs was pleasing and she was happy to see Karlis up and about. Like those before her she went down the line greeting each before standing close to Karlis and Viktorias.

Lady Filippa might have been rejected as a member of the Celestial Family however her cousin Queen Atalanta still valued her as a poetntial future diplomatic asset for the nation. Besides if the Queen was going somewhere then she wanted some company and Filippa was her favourite family member. The Queen had been devestated when the Oracles had ruled that she was not blessed by the Gods enough to be a member of the nations royalty but that would be made up to her. The duo had noted that their aircraft had been put into a holding as they saw the East Moreland aircraft making its final approach, they were next. While the Morelanders had needed to worry about their swords as they exited the aircraft for the Cassiopeians it was Filippa's poor eye sight that would be a problem. With one arm locked to the Queens and one on the harness of her guide dog Kipur. The duo arrived safely at the foot of the steps and made their way to where the Morelanders and their hosts had gathered. Kipur sat dutifully as first the Queen and then Filippa greeted the Queen and then the Morelanders.

Atalanta considered her words carefully. "The Maori are a group of people that sadly I've a similar level of experience with as you have. They are a people we greatly admire but to be honest we don't have much diplomatic connection with them. Perhaps if we finalise this arrangement we could examine a potential double meeting with them?"

Quote from:  Treaty Between Abertone and Cassioepeia

As a result of an agreement between Emperor Marco and Queen Atalanta the nations of Abertone and Cassiopeia agree to the following

1. The two nations agree to gradually lower tariffs on trade in items that originate in either nation over the next five years. The aim is to have these at no higher than 0.5% by 2027.

2. The two nations agree not to take part in economic practices designed at damaging the other.

3. All items moving under Article 1 shall be accompanied by a certificate of proof regarding the items origin.

4. The two nations shall maintain active embassies between them.

5. Both nations agree to share data on criminal records.

6. Anyone with no criminal record, a valid passport and not deemed a threat to national security may enter the other nation for 90 days visa free. While there they may enjoy leisure, study or business.

7. An individual may spend 90 days a year visa free in the other.

8. The two nations agree to share information regarding criminal activity in the Ardian Gulf.

9. The two nations agree to joint patrols and operations designed to stop any criminal activity in the Ardian Gulf area.

10. The two nations agree to pursue a course of action regarding Article 8 & 9 that will eventually bring the Unified Iwi into the agreement.

Signed

The Queen was pleased they at least had one thing in the bank. "The ambassadorial issue is a simple one, you send someone the usual way and we simply have a little ceremony where they formally are welcomed to the nation and present credentials. Each ambassador is presented a ceremonial laurel wreath to wear on their heads, traditionally these were used to symbolise a visiting dignitary in the Complex of the Queen but naturally today ID badges are more practical but the tradition continues and the wreath acts more as a symbol of friendship and I suspect a nice keepsake of what I pray will be a productive and enjoyable time in our nation."

As the Consul turned matters to economic interests she considered a few things. "We are members of SUN. An organisation that aims to promote international co-operation while maintaining each nations right to create their own policies. I would have considered offering a Abertone-SUN agreement however with your signature of the Abrahamic Declaration I think such a move would not be possible to push through however that does not stop us going something between us. We share a land border and making it possible for products to move between the two as easily as possible is a good step forward. What I propose therefore is that we put in place a system where we recognise that goods and products that are made within our nations, along with raw materials can cross the frontier as seamlessly as possible. I propose therefore at crossing points we have a specialist lane for our trade traffic. Where possible we recognise that we have compatible standards on things. So for example I suspect the quality and safety of electrical products is the same in both nations. Therefore an item like say a microwave oven could cross without further checks. We could at the same time lower tariffs on these goods that share a compatible standard. This would be the foundation I'd like to begin with."

There was an opportunity here to build some business for the businesses of Cassiopeia. " Not to be rude to our friends but I think we may be able to offer something more fitting of what you asked for. You asked for something with little maintenance complexity and easy to operate. Our friends have tanks with autoloaders, we don't. We can offer you Arges tanks, we don't have a huge surplus of them but we can clearly start manufacture of more if you wanted them. Naturally we'd agree to the sale of Zarptica"

To:- Head Gothi Stein Ulfsson

Sometime back Cassiopeia alongside Chistopol, Drenovia and Paracambi formed the Sovereign Union of Nations. It has come to my realisation that you already posses strong friendships with Drenovia and Paracambi through organisations such as the Council of Albion and TUNA. It is also true that in the past your nation has been cast as outsiders after having nations trying to utilise the FSC against your whaling practices and then in the Marseille situation. I think therefore we may be able to see eye to eye on many things and work together. As such I would appreciate you being able to accommodate a meeting with myself in Krokom to explore opportunities before us.

Atalanta preferred to stick to water while they talked maybe if there was something worth celebrating she would conclude with a wine but first there was business to get straight. She sat back as Nomiki tried her best to explain Graziano's question.

"Danai left me when she was four years old and I did not see her again until she was 14 that I did so again. To have missed out on all those years breaks my heart as I think about it even now." Atalanta could see that Nomiki was welling up and placed a supporting hand on her leg. "Her father did an amazing job and raised an intelligent and hard working girl. She speaks Abertonian, Cassopeian and Latin like they are her native tongues and has a love of sailing. She at times resents what had happened to her but it was necessary, many Cassiopian families were wiped out, many women lost children and many children lost their mothers. Myself and Danai are fortunate that now she's 19 we have a chance to build our relationship. I've been lucky enough to meet her best friends from Abertone and they are lovely young people. A credit to your nation that they took a young foreign girl under their wing and made them part of their community and I know she won't be the only one of her generation to know this. Allowing her to utilise this system you suggest would be a good step forward."

Atalanta nodded at the final sentence. "I agree. I think what you've outlined Consul is a good idea and I fully support it. Now as for embassies that is correct. There is a sacred ritual performed in terms of welcoming them to the Complex of the Goddess which is a little like Lodja's Isle or the Lijiang Golden Enclave. Its also a way of our Gods blessing the appointment, something considered important in our culture. We have though grounds to consider its future as it was suspected that one nation had sent someone unable to undertake the traditions on purpose." The Queen looked displeased at that memory. "The opening of embassies though is important so we shall ensure that we make sure whoever you send is accepted and given due reverence. It would be my intention to find a noble who had sheltered in Abertone and send them as our own representative."

21
Atalanta was pleased, it was something that was going to be a treaty with global implications and she'd helped create it. In addition the SUN contingent accounted for 2/5ths of its creators. She stood, crossed to the table and without a word signed the paper. "Let the hunting of the damned begin. May Charon's boat be ever full." She shook each persons hand pleased that the work had been done.

Nomiki Giannopoulos prepared to begin , "Thank you for arranging this meeting. In of itself we have no issues with nations conducting naval movements, what concerns us are two things. First is that repeatedly we see deployments aimed at people in the Matilda-Kyne region and that very often there is a lack of respect given to nations not involved. The deployment against our neighbours the Iwi came several years after the situation that the deployment was intended to try and prevent a repeat of and frankly to my mind served no purpose. The second issue we have is that of a concern about the management of such operations. During the one against the Iwi we saw a nation confuse its own administration as it couldn't even get the terminology correct thus escalating the situation. It means in general we are concerned that such sabre-rattling and miscommunications are likely to cause sooner or later some flashpoint. There has already been enough disruption for shipping and now we are likely to see more. I had hoped that the offers of observers would be a useful way forward even though I found the notion of observing the people observing you rather a strange exercise. There however now appears to be a break down of trust completely. Add to this the prospect of a scientific programme which is effectively nothing more than a military asset in a dress then it goes to show how little trust Rokkenjima has in its neighbours. What I will suggest is therefore that those of gathered in this room agree to the construction of our own Oceanographic Research Array and go even further, we offer to merge it with the Rokkenjiman lead ones on condition that scientists from our nations get full access to the system just as they will. We fund it ourselves and so Rokkenjima would have no arguments that this isn't a genuine scientific project especially as their scientists get much more data for no extra cost."

23
"I'm happy with what is on the paper." Queen Atalanta responded.

The Queen of Cassiopeia was only too aware of the Emperors perhaps less noble personal traits but this was a relationship that was necessary for her Realm as it was with their neighbour whom had given so many Cassiopeians fleeing the Junta a safe place. For the Celestial Consul Nomiki Giannopoulos these meeting was rather significant on a personal level. During he time of the Junta she had stayed behind feeling as an elected politican it was her duty to try and serve the people, meanwhile her husband had taken her then 7 year old son and four year old daughter over the border into Abertone. It was then ten years until she saw them in the flesh again in this nation. It would be a further 12 months before they left Abertone to rejoin their mother. Nomiki's daughter Danai even was as fluent in the language of Abertone as Cassiopeia, something Nomiki had taken advantage of before coming by learning a few useful phrases. Despite the very personal connection though it was still the Queen who would lead the conversation for now.

"Emperor Marco" she said warmly. "Thank you for agreeing to meet us. As well as being neighbours you've a history of being a good friend to us and we have been lacking in returning that friendship. With this in mind we would like to present you with this." The Queen handed over a gold laurel wreath, a symbol of victory in her nations heritage. "The commanders of the loyalist Army, Navy and Air Force units that helped us win back our freedom were presented with one of these." Each of the leaves was embossed with the date "16th May 2018" marking the day of victory. "Without your nation harbouring so many of our people we wouldn't have been able to take back our homeland and so it was as much a victory of yours as it was ours." She handed the token over. "Many of our youngsters still consider Abertone a home as much as they do Cassiopeia." Atalanta stepped aside and allowed Nomiki to speak.

"I for one have a great deal to thank your nation for. My two children and husband took refuge her and my daughter Danai has spent the majority of her life in your homeland." She explained. "On behalf of all the parents of Cassiopeia I would like to thank you and your people for what they did for our children. It is this connection that we must make stronger and as such I have a desire that my daughter and those like her will be free to move between the land of her birth and he land of her childhood. So perhaps when we begin talks such an arrangement can be at the front and centre?" She asked.

My understanding is we have under the recent changes three RP "Managers" (I think thats what they are called) Tytor, Diato and Markus. To change an RP Rule they need to sort it out. To do so "all amendments require a unanimous vote and the consultation of the Roleplay Moderator and where needed the consultation of the cartographer)"

We've seen Rob say its a good idea on Discord but I would appreciate it being done here too so its kind of on record. We've also got Markus seeming to approve this. We need to get things sorted quicker than this.

Nomiki Giannopoulos
Celestial Consul

1969 - Born in a small hilltop community in central Cassiopeia. Her father was a labourer on a small farm and her mother was a seamstress in the nearby town. She has an older brother Orestis who today runs a farm near where the family grew up.

1980 - Nomiki won entry to the local Grammar School. This took half its students from rich fee paying families and the other half from students who had passed an entrance exam or showed an artistic or sporting prowess. Those passing the exam won a scholarship until the age of 16. Nomiki was a scholarship student and excelled in History lessons.

1983 - At the age of 14 Nomiki had determined that she would like to be a Priestess and visited the Oracle for Demeter asking for omens to be worked out to see if she would be able to pursue this path. Despite not getting the Oracles approval she was told that there were other ways to serve and she began undertaking lots of voulenteer work in her community.

1987 - Nomiki graduated from Grammar School having done well in her exams, especially in History and Literature. She enrolled at Golgagra University as a part-time student while also working as an junior researcher for a small political party called the Dikaiosýni Party which focused on creation of social justice for all through an embracing of the nations ancient religion. It was not a hugely successful party but the experience stood her in good order as she also got involved in student politics while studying History.

1989 - Nomiki became the Golgagra University representative on the National Council of Students. She also set up the Golgagra Readers Club which was an organisation designed to try and promote reading and writing among young school children. It saw a partnership between University students and local primary schools.

1993 - Nomiki finished her degree and during her graduation ball meet Loukas Giannopoulos, the brother of one of her fellow graduates. The two began a relationship. Following graduation Nomiki went to work at Hermes newspaper as a researcher and occasional writer of articles covering historically significant anniversaries.

1994 - Nomiki and Loukas got engaged. Nomiki stood for election to the National Assembly she was listed at number 65 on Dikaiosýni Parties list and the party won only 12 seats. At this point Nomiki resigned from the Party blaming their leader for the poor result. She and several other former members of the National Council of Students who had now graduated formed the "Exochí Sýmmachoi" (Countryside Allies) party focused on trying to improve infastructure and conditions in the countryside.

1995- Nomiki and Loukas got engaged with their wedding blessed by the local Priest of Demeter. They left the capital and moved to the town of Parga where Loukas worked as a Architect while Nomiki wrote articles for Hermes on regional going ons.

1996 - Nomiki stood in the election for Mayor of Parga and came runner up.

1997 - When an outbreak of Foot and Mouth hit the countryside farms around Parga it was Nomiki and her Exochí Sýmmachoi Party friends who rallied forth and helped farmers inspect animals, cull and dispose of infected livestock and help quarantine farms. This was credited with helping stop the spread of the disease to wider parts of the Realm and along with 17 other members of the Party she was recognised by the then Queen with the Medal of Demeter for services to agriculture.

1998 - Nomiki stood for election again as part of Exochí Sýmmachoi. The party won only four seats however in Parga the party dominated the polls. Nomiki was listed second on the Parties list and was therefore elected to the National Assembly. With such a small share of the votes the party was largely ineffective however Nomiki was praised heavily by several other parties for her work in various sub-committees and was even at one point head hunted by the running Conservative Party however she refused to join them.

1999 - Nomiki was made head of the Media and Culture Sub-Committee in the National Assembly.

2000 - Nomiki assumed the leadership of Exochí Sýmmachoi after her friend Eleni Pitsiou resigned from the party because of ill health. Nomiki gave birth to her son Ilias with omens taken nothing special was reported except by the Priest of Ares who promised good health.

2001 - Nomiki mobilised around 150,000 protestors to stand against the Conservative Parties proposal to change laws governing fisheries in the Realm.

2002 - Nomiki once more stands for the National Assembly with the Exochí Sýmmachoi gaining 17 seats, as leader of the party she was listed number 1 on the parties list of candidates. She assumed leadership of both the Media and Culture Sub-Committee and the All Parties Women's Group.

2003 - Nomiki gave birth to her daughter Danai. With her and her husband Loukas being devout they had omens taken at several temples at the girls birth incase she wished to enter the Priesthood later in life. During readings from Hephaestus  it was said that Danai would be blessed by this God.

2005 - As Queen Elisavet began to lose her mental capacities Nomiki was one of around 80 Assembly Members who signed a letter urging caution about the increased influence of the Generals in charge of the military. In the days that followed Nomiki and her husband reported several strange incidents at their home in Parga. This was echoed by the experiences of several other of her friends in the Assembly.

2006 - Nomiki stood once more for National Assembly with the Exochí Sýmmachoi which gained 14 seats which while a decrease was still impressive as pro-military parties dominated leading many to conclude that the election was manipulated. Nomiki lost her position as head of the Media and Culture Sub-Committe but retained leadership of the All Parties Womens Group. She opposed openly many policies put forward by the then Celestial Consul, Major General Konstantinos Hatziriga. On the 17th September 2006 she was attacked by a knifeman outside the National Assembly building and despite being close to military guardsman it was a member of her own party who intervened to protect her. This lead to the Exochí Sýmmachoi recruiting their own bodyguards.

2007 - On 8th February Queen Elisavet died putting in place a series of chain reactions as the leadership of the military blocked the immediate appointment of a new Queen and began to round up members of the Celestial Family. Many fled or went into hiding. The National Assembly was closed because of the imposition of martial law. Despite this Nomiki attended the Assembly gates everyday until 22nd March, by which time a total of 65 Assembly members had also joined her including all 14 of the Exochí Sýmmachoi party. On the 23rd March soldiers opened fire on the group with rubber bullets and tear gas. In what appears to be a simultaneous raid the families home in Prago was raided by the Army. Her husband Loukas and children  Danai and Ilias however where not home and Loukas immediately managed to escape the country to Abertone. The Army claimed to have found bomb making materials in Nomiki's home and charged her with terrorist offences. On 28th March while being transported to court in Golgagra loyalist forces from the military attacked the convoy containing the Assembly Members who were arrested and expected to be sentenced to execution. Out of the 65 Nomiki was one of 37 to escape with the loyalists, the remainder either died in the rescue attempt or were recaptured and executed. Nomiki was offered safe passage to join her husband in Abertone but refused instead acting as an editor for the underground newspaper To Stémma (The Crown).

2017 - Having escaped capture several times she was asked by loyalist commanders to head to Drenovia where elements of the Navy had escaped and were serving alongside their Drenovian counterparts. She is responsible for becoming a secure link between these loyalist elements outside the nation and those inside. It was during this time that she had her first face to face meeting with her husband and children since they had fled a decade earlier.

2018 - On the 16th May Nomiki was with a loyalist rebel faction outside Metaxochori port to support the CNS Okeanos as it attempted to take the city. While not being directly involved in combat operations she acted as a medic and recorded the events with photos and video. During the fighting she broke her collarbone when an enemy shell exploded nearby and she was thrown to the ground by the blast.  She though was able to film the future Queen Atalanta leaving the ship following the successful taking of the city. She captured an iconic image of the uncrowned Queen being given an honour guard by battle weary members of the elite  Doru Hoplites who were making it clear they expected the Oracles to appoint her Queen.

On the 28th May she was one of the invited guests to the new Queens coronation where she was awarded the Medal of Ares for her actions during the Junta's reign in Cassiopeia. She was escorted on the day by her husband and children who had returned to Cassiopeia two days after the fall of Metaxochori.

2019 - With Queen Atalanta looking to extend the powers of the Celestial Consul and the need for a new National Assembly Nomiki reformed the Exochí Sýmmachoi party. Out of the original members only a handful were still alive. The work she had done during the Junta's reign, her defiance of their leadership and being involved in the Battle for Metaxochori saw many loyalists flood to her party and the Exochí Sýmmachoi won 52 % of seats with Nomiki as their leader. This was sufficent for her to be named Celestial Consul.

2020 - Nomiki's son Ilias becomes an officer in the Imperial Navy and is assigned to CNS Okeanos.

2021 - Nomiki is made a Lady of the Realm by Queen Atalanta.

2022 - Nomiki announces that she intends to stand down from the National Assembly at the next elections as she has been offered the role of Representative of Demeter which would give her much more influence on the nations foreign policy as the role of Celestial Consol is largely focused on home affairs.

To:- Chairwoman Therz.

May I first begin by offering an apology for not attending in person as diplomatic talks elsewhere have overtaken us.

I believe this kind of conversation is required as we have seen clear misunderstandings of the FSC and huge build ups by Navies in the region used as a means of antagonising others. Any large scale Naval exercise or movement impacts civilian shipping and these are becoming very common throughout this region. What with constant naval pods from Rokkenjima in the waters near the Commonwealth of the Iwi and now the joint SANE-Heyran exercises and a huge response to them I think a plan for coming disruptions is needed. As such please expect Nomiki Giannopoulos, the Celestial Consul, to attend talks on our behalf.

From Queen Atalanta of the Realm of Cassiopeia.

As the image was passed around the table Queen Atalanta looked carefully at it as the King explained its functioning. Satisfied she passed the electronic device onwards and then spoke. "I'm reassured that this will, if needed, be an acceptable location for people like the ex-Junta to be interned. I though prefer for them to serve time in Cassiopeia but as King David has said this organisation could well be the difference between them facing justice and getting away with it. As it stands I'd be happy to support the charter and this location."

To:- His Imperial Majesty Emperor Marco Lupin IX

Since the restoration of our monarchy I am ashamed to say that we have done little to connect with our Abertonian neighbours. I am confident that given an opportunity we could turn our little corner of the Ardian Gulf into a prosperous one as we co-operate to make our lands supportive of each other. It is my hope that you will allow myself and a selection of my Ministers to come and visit. I am hopeful of beneficial meetings and finding ground for mutual co-operation.

Best Regards

Queen Atalanta II of Cassiopeia.

The document came as a bit of a surprise to Queen Atalanta she had heard that the Kings had been working on something but didn't expect anything as ambitious as this. The document though put her in a bit of a situation. One the one hand she liked the idea behind it but on the other it had elements of giving up sovereignty of her nation. That was clearly something that was not popular with Atalanta. "I applaud the pair of you for this effort. It shows a really impressive ambition and I think there is much about it that can work. My one concern is though that it takes away authority of nations and my views on that are well known. I therefore wish to see a number of amendments made."

In Article 1 a mechanism needs to be created that allows nations to conduct their own investigation in a similar manner as the HCIC and that these independent investigations are given the same credibility as a HCIC one.

In Article 2 a nation can reserve the right to take whatever sanctions they desire and see fit against a nation failing to act on a warrant.

In Article 3 an execution should be carried out by the executioner from the nation where the crime was committed. This can be observed by other member nations to ensure the execution is carried out fairly.

I also believe any custodial sentence should be served in the nation where the crime took place but with guarantees that that they may be checked on by other member nations to ensure fair treatment.

In Article 5 I also wish to see some mention of the idea that this is a system that runs in parrallel with nations own systems and does not replace it. There should be nothing stopping a nation pursuing their own investigations and extraditions. I believe this balances both a nations sovereignty and the creation of an excellent international treaty.
