Royal Press Office of Emperor Benson of Paracambi

As we have since the early 1900's we would like to offer an invitation to the new King of Royal Seleucid to meet. Many centuries ago the Seleucid people took part in the horrific slave trade and profitted greatly from human misery. Our two nations engaged in a war which saw Paracambian naval forces challenge every suspected Seleucid vessel in order to try and halt the trade. This is in the past and while we are pleased to see an end to hostilities we still feel the Seleucid people have yet to put this matter to rest. We would urge King Heydar to issue a public apology for his nations historic slave trading and seek to make reparations in light of this. Should King Heydar be willing to do this I would be thrilled to meet with him and explore ways that together we can repair the relationships between our two historic nations.

Statement On The RS-Iwi Situation In the Kyne

The Cross-Straits Union notes its concern over the recent rise in tensions between Royal Seleucid and the Commonwealth of the Unified Iwi. This current situation was brought about by the discovery of a bio weapons lab on Paracambi that may shed new light on a bubonic plague outbreak that occurred last year. As the Union believes it is important for the truth of that matter to be known we urge the Paracambi authorities to make available for comparative testing their discovered samples.

In relation to the matters of the seizure and subsequent destruction of the Iwi tanker, the Union has elected to refer that to the Cross-Straits Court of Justice for an opinion. We are aware that this will be a non binding opinion on the majority of Mundus, but it will we hope provide a reference point made by some very knowledgeable and experienced legal professionals.

Signed

Lìosa Càidh
Secretary General, Cross-Straits Union

The Empire of Paracambi are capable of undertaking testing of samples and will make their results known. Furthermore as the government have only just discovered this facility and that there were no outbreaks of Bubonic plague on Castries it stands to reason that our nation have no connection to the former outbreak of the disease. At this time we are conducting our own investigation and are confident of being able to do all that is required to make the facility safe.

Following announcements that the nation of Fleur intend to support a faction involved in the Merinan Civil War despite a recent Council of Albion attempt at bringing all parties to the negotiating table the Empire of Paracambi makes the following statement.

Should any military hardware, servicemen or women or intelligence be dispatched to support ANY faction involved in the Civil War we shall see this as a deliberate attempt to derail the talks that are to soon take place in Lodja. As such should that happen the Empire would have no choice other than to bring in strict sanctions against Fleur both economically and diplomatically. Every effort must be taken to ensure peace is given a chance and while the rest of Albion are currently throwing their full weight behind finding a solution that would bring about an end to bloodshed the current messages coming from Fleur seem determined to maintain the conflict. This can and shall not be permitted to happen.

Following an announcement in the press of Soleimani we encourage their High Council to not commit to supporting any faction in the Merina Civil War. As has been announced the Council of Albion have secured talks attended by every faction. These talks are our best chance for a peaceful conclusion to the conflict and an end to loss of innocent life. As we have already seen Fleur are also considering involvement and as we have already stated should they supply any materials or support then sanctions would be put in place against them. Should Soleimani also offer support to any faction we will level sanctions at them too. We would also urge the Council of Albion members to do like wise.

Following a statement from the government of Fleur the Empire of Paracambi wish to state the following.

1. We applaud the idea that Fleur wish to see action"ensuring long-term stability, and the safety of the liberties of the people" of Merina. We feel this is best obtained by the talks which we have beginning in Gaia. We would therefore request Fleur to allow these talks to take place without the backdrop of military escalation of the ongoing civil war.

2. We applaud the government of Fleur to offer humanitarian aid. This is something that we ourselves shall be including as part of the talks regardless of their outcome in terms of ending the Civil War. Should the war hopefully end all nations of Albion should offer whatever support and help is within their power to help the nation rebuild, and should talks fail to bring about an end then urgent action will be needed to support those impacted by the ongoing bloodshed. In regards to this we have stated that we shall do whatever we can to not permit more weapons to make their way into Merina. We however will not stop humanitarian aid and would even be willing to support this process.

It is clear that Paracambi and Fleur share similar hopes for the people of Merina. We disagree on the methods of achieving this. I firmly believe that the route adopted by Fleur will lead to an extension of the crisis and would urge them to reconsider their approach.

AN APPEAL TO MUNDUS

While normally it is the done thing to congratulate a family on the birth of a newborn child and look forward to the impending traditional celebrations that inevitably follow, regardless of their culture or tradition the news from Royal Seleucid of the birth of a new Prince is something that urges me to write an appeal. We however would like to make it clear that we wish no ills on the young boy for he does not choose his family.

The Soter family have for several centuries helped perpatrate a large number of ills on Mundus. First they were instrumental in establishing the cross Mundus slave trade which put hundreds of thousands if not millions into captivity. They next attempted to conquer, then eradicate the Maori prescence in what is now the Commonwealth of the Unified Iwi, thus effectively seeking to carry out the genocide of the Maori race. The Soter's then were responsible for permitting the attempted genocide of the Cultist population of their own nation. These three crimes alone show that the Soter family are nothing more than perpatrators of suffering and evil. While the Empire condemns those that have attended the games in Midaranye we can however see that the Games have a unique impact on individuals and thus we can understand the stance of many nations. There will inevitably be soon the birth of a second Soter child and following that invitations no doubt will be sent to a celebration of sorts. We urge the nations of the world to shun this invitation and send the Soter family a direct message that their long history of evil is no longer to be tolerated on Mundus.

We hope that when the time comes we can count on the nations of Mundus to see sense and stand with us in a show of solidarity against so many of the ills shown by the Seleucid royals.

Signed

Emperor Benson of Paracambi
Head Hougon of the Vodou Faith.
