LAWS OF THE EMPIRE
• Abortion: Must be done before 21 weeks after that point only on grounds of medical necessity.
• Adultery: Grounds for divorce. If guilty in divorce settlement judge may award up to 60% rather than 50% of property.
• Affirmative action: No laws
• Age of consent: 16
• Age of majority: 18
• Artificial insemination: Permitted
• Assisted suicide: Allowed in cases of terminal illness with approval of two doctors.
• Bestiality: Illegal.
• Birth control: Permitted
• Childcare: Means tested funding.
• Concealed carry: Permitted once you have completed basic military training and either are serving in the military or were honourably discharged.
• Death penalty: Used for murder and treason
• Divorce: Permitted once separation of six months proven.
• Double jeopardy: Not permitted

• Driving age: 16
• Education: Compulsory until the age of 16
• Eminent domain: Permitted with appropriate compensation
• Equal pay for equal work: Yes
• Felony disenfranchisement: Anyone sentenced to more than three years imprisonment lose the right to vote for good.
• Flag desecration: Considered criminal damage regardless of who owned the flag.

• Trial by jury: Twelve person jury used. Jury drawn by lot from local community. In cases of capital crimes the jury are asked two questions 1) Guilty/Not Guilty 2) Will they authorise the use of the death penalty.
• Universal healthcare: Both public and private health care exists. Public health care is funded via taxation.
• Voting age: 18
• Women's rights: Protected in law
• Working age: Must be aged over 16 to work more than 25 hours a week.
• Working week: Negotiated per worker
