The Tyranny of Mamoru

The morning started with a "taste of opression": Several aristocrats, bourgeois, capitalists, workers and administrators reunited on the main streets of Hayashima with signs, pamphlets, flags and speeches at a massive rally. The reason for the protest was the immediate closure of  several monopolies that guaranteed the purchasing power and a balanced free trade policy, that was replaced with a poor-administrated state monopoly controlled by aristocrats promoted by the government itself. Protesters were quickly suppressed violently with the involvement of the 4th Infantry Division, rubber bullets were used and some of the rioters were quickly eliminated.

Several deputies began to "indirectly offend" the leader in the parliament & midia demanding an immediate impeachment, causing the dissolution of all upper and lower chambers. This triggered more agressive rallies across the country, demanding the removal of the president from power. This caused the president to institute a new article in the constitution, saying that: "Those who hold or will hold the office of the president will have the right to absolute and incondicional power in every political, social or economic scenario." "The assumption by the President of the Republic of the power of sacking summarily any public servant, including elected political officers and judges, if they were found to be subversive or un-cooperative with the regime. This power was widely used to vacate the seats of Opposition members in the Legislative branch, so that elections would be held as usual, but the composition of the Legislature resulting from the elections would be dramatically changed by the deprivation of office of Opposition legislators, effectively transforming the Federal, State and even municipal legislatures in rubber-stamp bodies. The deprivation of office of Opposition legislators also affected the makeup of the Electoral College of the President of the Republic. Thus, not only elections for the Executive Branch were indirect, but the vacancies created in the composition of the Legislative bodies affected the makeup of the Electoral College."
