Alexander Offers ‘Most Sincere Apologies’ as Prince of Littlebrook Found Guilty of Negligence

Winchester Castle has today released a statement on behalf of the Prince of Littlebrook, noting his ‘deepest regret’ and ‘sincere apologies’ for his negligence during the Andean Genocide following his guilty verdict at the recent international trial and 1-year suspended sentence. The statement also revealed that he intended to donate £15 million to the Andean Genocide Relief Fund, and that after his community service order ended, he would return permanently to Dartfordia.

Quote from: Statement by Winchester Castle
His Royal Highness expresses his deepest regret towards the people of Nueva Ardia for his devastating dereliction of duty. The crimes committed on the ground by Rokkenjiman and Toshilawan soldiers, civil servants and senior officials are unforgivable, and His Royal Highness offers his most sincere apologies to all victims of the genocide.

His Royal Highness would like to thank the Court for its verdict and efforts to uncover the truth of the genocide. He would also like to thank the legal Counsel offered to him by the Government of Dartfordia.

Over the next year His Royal Highness shall work with volunteers in Nya Åland. He looks forward to witnessing and being a part of the amazing work in the country. His Royal Highness has also decided to donate the sum of £15 million to the Genocide Relief Fund to alleviate some of the lasting effects of the genocide. Following the end of his sentence, His Royal Highness shall return to Dartfordia with Princess Adriana and Prince Lucius.

His Royal Highness also wishes to extend his regret to His Majesty King David. He cared deeply for Prince Caspian but shall hold no ill-will against His Majesty if he is remove from the late Prince’s record.

The verdict does not change the constitutional position, and His Royal Highness remains Prince of Littlebrook and heir to the Dartfordian Throne.

The statement was received poorly on Twitter, with many users reacting furiously to the ‘Press release’ statement, rather than making a direct, personal statement. “Disgusting!!! Can’t even be bothered to say sorry in public! What a joke!” said @DaveAir789, a sentiment backed by @PlusMinusGloria: “No way did Alex not know what was going on. He’s a murderer!”. Within a few hours ‘#StraightToAdriana’ was trending, calling for Alex to be stripped of this right to inherit the throne.

New Railways Act to Replace ‘Woeful’ InterCity and CrossCountry Concessions, Reduce Wide-Gauge Trains

The King has given his Royal Assent to the Railways Act 2017 which will give the Dartfordian rail network its third major shake-up in five years. The Act abolishes the Rail Concession Authority and brings an end to InterCity concessions which, since their creation in 2015, have led to a significant drop in customer satisfaction and train punctuality. The Act also aims to end the system of having two track sizes, with all 7 of the 9 InterCity, CrossCountry and multi-regional services which require trains to change gauge sizes being replaced in the next 10 years with standard-gauge track.

On major InterCity and CrossCountry lines, the routes will be divided into ‘packages’ consisting of certain rolling stock and train paths. The new system will mean that on every major line there will be more than one operator. All packages will ensure operators run regular services in the peak and off-peak, but gives the operators freedom to set prices, advertise, design their own liveries and interiors, manage staff numbers, alter First Class provision, amongst other things. All companies will have to abide by an InterCity Charter, which sets certain limits, but ultimately the aim to see less government involvement in InterCity.

As part of the Act, the government has created two new bodies: the Strategic Rail Authority and the InterCity Railway Authority. The SRA will be responsible for the overall strategic aims of the railway, common ticketing, setting safety standards and coordinating major engineering works. The ICRA will be responsible for determining packages, awarding them and ensuring compliance. A Rolling Stock Upgrade Mechanism (RSUM) is also being introduced, which creates a special kind of 30-year bond for new purchases, allowing operators to introduce new rolling stock while only paying for the duration that they will be operating it.

The first line to be opened up will be the Great Central Railway, with DartRail, LS-Railways, Stagecoach, Virgin Trains and EasyRail (a joint venture between EasyJet parent company EasyGroup and FirstGroup). The Government hopes the new competition will allow companies to appeal to different markets, thus increasing the overall number of passengers.

Worries About Jobs as LS-Railways Announces Rationalisation Plans

The National Union of Railway Workers (NURW) have expressed their concerns that Dartfordian jobs are at risk as the partly state-owned LS-Railways announces that it intends to undergo a rationalisation of its facilities. The company, founded initially in 1603, is currently the largest rail manufacturer in the world, with major plants in Dartfordia, Rokkenjima, East Moreland, Achkaerin and Taiwan SAR (Aeternum).

The news comes as LS-Railways has announced its intention to build a new manufacturing plant in Tumaini, triggering concerns that its plant in East Moreland and its smaller plant in Stone, Dartfordia would be closed. The rationalisation will not affect its train operation divisions, which remain profitable.

In a statement, LS-Railways have said: “We are committed to remaining the world’s largest and most advanced rail company, in construction, maintenance and operation. However we must consider the future of the global rail industry, which is, at the moment, in decline. It is with this in mind that we are considering the closure of some of our smaller bases and amalgamating them into our larger facilities.

Details are likely to be released after consultations with various national governments.

Jenka-Jenkinson Central Station Opens
The King today reopened Jenka-Jenkinson Railway Station afters its closure in 1971. The station is located directly between Central Square and 市の市場 (City Market), and the railway line was previously considered to be a significant border between two major areas of the city. Trains on the North-South Great Central Railway and East-West CrossRegion Railways will both stop at the new station, and cease to call at Jenka North and Jenkinson East, which will both only be used by local trains.

The Prince of Littlebrook today arrived in the former UNP capital Uppsala. The Prince, who travelled in his Royal carriage on the Trans-Albion Railway to the interim freight centre on the outskirts of Nya Åland, was then taken by helicopter to the main refugee site in the city. The Prince has told organisers that he intends to ‘do what he can’ to improve the lives of the people of the city.

Adriana Arrives in Dartfordia, Alexander Sets Off to Uppsala

Her Royal Highness Princess Adriana of Littlebrook returned home earlier this week, along with her brother Prince Lucius. The Princess is shortly expected to start school at Lexia Secondary Academy, where she is to be looked after by the Princess Georgia. The Princess’ arrival came just 4 days before Prince Alexander set out for Uppsala, where he arrived today.

The Prince of Littlebrook is expected to return to Dartfordia each weekend to visit his daughter and to carry out functions on behalf of his father, the King. DBC is not yet aware whether Princess Beatrice (Empress Emerita of Rokkenjima) will stay with her family in Dartfordia, or whether she will return to Rokkenjima.

Anger as Prince Alexander Flown to Dartfordia for Adriana's First Day

Questions have arisen over the Prince of Littlebrook's 'community service' conditions, as data revealed by Rochester Palace show that, since his arrival in Uppsala in September, the Prince has flown back to Dartfordia on taxpayer-funded chartered aircraft every weekend and, at the expense of the Rokkenjiman government, has recently been staying in the recently completed 5-star Phoenix Hotel. Yet it's not just the expenses, which include over £2 million in security costs, that are racking up. There has been anger over the apparent breach of community service conditions as it is revealed the Prince was present in Dartfordia on a weekday which, unless for an approved official engagement or in exceptional circumstances, is prohibited under the terms agreed by the International Court.

Rochester Palace denies that any wrongdoing took place, and in a comment to DBC noted that 'The prince was authorised by his supervisor to visit Dartfordia over Sunday and Monday, and remain in Uppsala on the Saturday. All travel costs, where not required for an official engagement, will be paid for out of the Prince of Littlebrook's personal wealth upon the end of his sentence.' The government has refused to comment on the allegations, but note that financial responsibility for security, accommodation and transport within Uppsala is, as the 'offending country', the responsibility of the Rokkenjiman government.

Meanwhile, complaints have emerged from Lexia Secondary Academy, where Princess Adriana has been attending, due to the installation of 'excessive' security features. Including live-monitored CCTV in classrooms, panic buttons, regular presence of sniffer dogs and compulsory bag searches whenever any student, staff or visitor enters the school. A continual armed police presence is provided while the Princess is attending, however they are generally confined to an office within the school grounds and out of sight of students.

University Student Comes Out of Hiding
A University student has reportedly come out of hiding following an almost 3 month absence. The student was believed to have been drinking an excessive amount of alcohol and had pulled 'too many all-nighters'. The student has told DBC that 'All is well', although noted that he was, 'Open to anyone who wishes to write his dissertation.' Analysts predict he will return to hibernation following the resumption of term.

Anger in Arendelle as ‘Cross-Straits University’ Plans Fall Through

This morning Arendelle City Council voted in favour of a motion criticising the government of its handling of the former headquarters of the Cross-Straits Union in the city. The complex, built over a previously-abandoned industrial estate, has itself become almost entirely abandoned, following the announcement by the Department for Education in Hematite that the Cross-Straits University project had collapsed due to the ‘inability to reach agreement with the University of Arendelle and South Hawley Metropolitan University.’

(The former headquarters of the Cross-Straits Union, photo taken prior to its closure)

The complex, which was transferred to Dartfordia in accordance with the ‘Dexit’ agreement, is required to be used principally as an ‘establishment for higher or further education open to all Dartfordian and Cross-Straits citizens.’ However, the University of Arendelle, who have a student body of 30,000, and South Hawley Metropolitan University, who have 75,000 students (25,000 located in Arendelle), both objected to its creation due to existing pressures on the student housing market. The Government rejects such arguments, noting publicly that ‘the departure of the CSU has opened up significant amounts of housing stock, much of which will be converted to student housing.’

Yet the failure to reach an agreement means the government may be forced to renegotiate the Darxit deal to purchase the land directly to reuse for other purposes.

Government to Introduce Mandatory Dashcams

The Government has announced that it plans to make the inclusion of forward and rear cameras (known as ‘dash cams’) a mandatory feature on all new cars sold after March 2018. The Bill, which was given its First Reading in the House of Commons, sets out minimum requirements and specifications, including 128GB SDXC cards for each camera’s storage, crash protection (including the permanent archive of incidents), and the ability to support low-light environments. The Bill will also mandate car manufacturers and garages to provide services to retrofit dash cams to existing cars, and authorises insurance companies to require existing customers to retrofit their cars.

The Bill has received support from the insurance industry and from the main opposition the Socialists. Thomas Godwin, a the Minister for Roads, told the Commons that the policy would ‘reduce insurance prices, make the roads safer and improve general driving.’ However, it’s noted the government does run the risk of alienating both their confidence-and-supply partners the Liberal Party, and there is already opposition from the Green Party. Privacy advocates are calling the Bill an extension of the police state, noting that individual’s privacy could be at risk.

The Motor Vehicles (Mandatory Video Recordings) Bill 2018 is due to be debated in the Commons in January.

Passengers Furious as LS Hyperloop Announce Unexpected 7% Price Increase

Passengers and users of the DartLoop network, have expressed outrage following an announcement by LS Hyperloop, the operator of the network, that standard prices would be increasing by 7% in March, despite already increasing 5% in January. The news comes as the network suffers from increasing reliability issues and decreasing passenger satisfaction.

LS Hyperloop claim that the rise is due to a number of factors. Including a recent unexpected increase in maintenance costs. A spokesperson told DBC: “Parts are failing more frequently than anticipated, both within the units themselves and within the tunnels, we are also seeing increased vandalism and other external factors, all this has resulted in a surge in pricing.” The company also blamed the rising cost of security, with airport-like security at all 5 of its stops. “Airlines share the cost of airport security between themselves, however we are forced to burden the cost alone at a much higher rate,” the spokesperson told us.

The Dartfordian Commuter Association have criticised the price increase, calling on the government to implement fare controls. “The government agreed a 30-year contract with LS Railways just 4 years ago, and already we’ve seen huge price fluctuations. They have the power to impose fare controls within that contract, and yet they allow prices to increase while the number of delays and cancellations increase.” The DCA note that, despite 99.7% of services running in its first 12 months, only 85% of services ran in the previous told, and only 65% of services arrived within 3 minutes of the scheduled arrival time. Further complaints from passengers on the network note the increasing noise and vibrations within the capsules, with satisfaction rates falling from 97% satisfied or very satisfied, to just 70%.

The Government, however, have refused to intervene. “LS Railways notified us two weeks ago that they expected to make a pre-tax loss of £300,000 for the financial year, and that their projections would see that increase to £800,000. The decision was given not to impose a fare control to ensure the DartLoop network could continue to operate,” a Department for Transport spokesman told DBC. While the government insists it is committed to expanding the DartLoop network, no formal plans have been brought forward, possibility due to the complications of the existing network.

The price of a standard single from Hematite to Churchill is now approximately £370, though LS Hyperloop note that fares are available for as low as £35, and that it only takes 35 minutes, compared to 4-and-a-half hours by train or 8 hours by coach.

Edit: Retconned. Hyperloop was previously established canon but not anymore.

Government to Leave Lucinda Hadley’s Arrest Warrant to Courts

The Secretary of State for Justice, Michael Lennon MP KC, has today confirmed that the arrest warrant for Lucinda Hadley will be processed ‘by the courts.’

“We have received a formal arrest warrant for Lucinda Hadley from the Imperial Rokkenjiman Government,” Lennon said in a statement, “having considered the merits of the request, we will not be validating the arrest warrant, and have therefore forwarded the request to the High Court of Southfleet.”

The laws concerning extradition are covered by the Extradition and International Crime Act 1972, which enables a government to validate an international extradition request. A validated request would immediately apply the arrest warrant in Dartfordia, requiring police to arrest a suspect prior to an extradition hearing in the courts. If the government does not, as is the case, validate a request, then an arrest warrant would only apply in Dartfordia if validated by the High Court.

The validation process does not apply to requests by the International Criminal Court or requests made under other certain treaties. Following Dartfordia’s withdrawal from the Cross-Straits Union, Cross-Straits Arrest Warrants ceased to apply to Dartfordia, and no subsequent treaty with Rokkenjima allows a by-pass of the validation.

It is believed that Lucinda Hadley is in Dartfordia, however the government has refused to comment, noting that they do not ‘keep track’ of every individual in the country.

Government Considers Closure of Rokkenjiman Queen Katenka Naval Base

Sources close to the Prime Minister have indicated that the government are considering a plan to trigger a 12-month break clause to see the closure of the Queen Katenka Naval Base (QKNB) near Arendelle. QKNB, located next to the city that once saw the headquarters of the Cross-Straits Union, was built in 2014 and is operated by the First Empire of Rokkenjima. Last month, the base was attacked by Borland Separatists.

Discussion is raging amongst senior politicians, officials and military officers following the government’s recent isolationist policy - which only sees the country generally engage with diplomatic and economic matters. There has been a general reluctance to intervene directly with SeaTowers, instead blockading the former oil rig and utilising it for intelligence. The attack on QKNB marks the first Borland attack on Dartfordia since 2014.

There is a worry amongst some that continued close military alliance threatens the country’s national security - increasing the risk of foreign attack and allowing Rokkenjima to apply undue influence on domestic affairs such as Jenka-Jenkinson. This comes, however, as the government seeks to reestablish a free trade area between Dartfordia and Rokkenjima. It is likely that the government would be willing to close Akrotiri Naval Base in Rokkenjima, and have the functions transfer to the former QKNB.

Some have called it the biggest step away from Rokkenjima since the independence of the dartICON system, a system now only sharing limited information.

Trains Driver Dies Following Following Suspicious Ejection from Cab

The Hawley Police Service have launched an official investigation in to the death of Darren Myles, a train driver found dead besides the railway track on the outskirts of the city of Muntz in Hawley. His body was found after the train he was driving stopped short of Muntz station, following the automatic train protection system applying the emergency brakes as the train failed to respond to a change in speed limits.

Passengers were left stranded for 2 hours due to the driver's suspicious disappearance, before being gradually documented and led down towards the station. The body was discovered laying besides the track, almost 3 miles behind where the train was stopped, by another passing driver in the opposite direction. The line was closed until Police had recovered the body and completed their initial investigations, it has since re-opened. The train has been taken to the depot and a thorough investigation of the train's CCTV and black box records will now take place. The police have not ruled out suicide, but are treating the death as suspicious.

In a statement, the HawleyConnect Chief Executive told the media that they were 'Deeply saddened' by the discovery, and that the company would offer its 'full support' to the police and the driver's family.

Police Discover LSD in Train Driver’s Imodium Tablets

Police have today revealed that they discovered the hallucinogenic drug LSD in the OsmanTech Imodium tablets, commonly used to counter the symptoms of diarrhoea, carried by Thomas Moran. Moran was discovered laying by the trackside after he was removed from the cab of his train, he had a faultless record and showed no signs or symptoms of depression. Police have confirmed they had already discovered traces of the drug in Moran’s bloodstream, and now believe that the man jumped while hallucinating.

Prior to departing Berk station, Moran was seen purchasing the drug from a shop outside the station and heading directly to the platform. The journey between Berk and Muntz takes approximately 45 minutes, and he was found approximately 10 minutes away from Muntz station. Police believe he took the drug shortly after departing Berk, as the packaging was left on the dashboard of the train.

Earlier today the CEO of OsmanTech issued an apology on behalf of the company. The government have ordered that all OsmanTech Imodium tablets be destroyed and have temporarily revoked its licence to sell the drug. Intelligence agencies

Moran is survived by is wife, Marie, and two children, Michael and Reggie. A memorial will be installed on behalf of HawleyConnect and the National Railway Union (NRU) at the site where he died.

Controversy over Empress’ Rogue Visit

Following reports that the government were considering the closure of Queen Katenka Naval Base in Arendelle, the Empress of Rokkenjima made what appears to be an emergency visit to the Dartfordian capital. Prime Minister Daniel Cleaver had only left that morning for a walking holiday in Lodja, and reports from sources close to the government suggest the move has infuriated the Foreign Minister, John Lankly.

The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed Cleaver would not be returning to Dartfordia early, though has been in touch with officials and the Foreign Secretary to confirm the government’s position. It’s likely the government will be seeking a very high price to make up for recent grievances, which include the use of Princess Adriana in negotiations with East Moreland and the recognition of Heyran sovereignty over the Nurashima/Barnacle islands. Initial reports indicated the government were planning on maintaining the base as a Dartfordian one, but recent proposals from Duchess Ekaterina Stasiuk have sparked interest amongst senior officials.

While a new co-operation treaty is expected to be signed, the government may refuse to commit to securing the future of QKNB. The move may be popular amongst the National Party’s traditional support base, many of whom opposed the construction of the base itself, as well as many on the left opposed to the use of the base for weapons of mass destruction. In Arendelle, a city transformed by the former presence of the Cross-Straits Union, opinion is mixed, with about 40% of respondents preferring the base to be replaced with a resort, 40% preferring to maintain the base and 20% unsure. However a strong preference exists towards building a more accessible resort, with a Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Disneyland and a theme park preferred over a luxury yacht resort.

The Mayor of Arendelle, Michelle Lamb, told DBC that the CSU leaving ‘left a presently unfulfilled hole in the Arendelle economy’, and that replacement of the base could result in ‘greater economic development.’ She refused, however, to indicate her preference, saying that she ‘was open to proposals on all sides.’

Adriana Comments Cause Alarm, Rochester Palace Dismiss Tweet

A recent tweet by Crown Princess Adriana has caused a major stir amongst Dartfordian politicians today. The Tweet seemingly gives her support for Jenka-Jenkinson separation from Dartfordia, a political cause on the fringes even within Jenka-Jenkinson itself. The Tweet has prompted a storm from Dartfordian politicians and from those within Jenka-Jenkinson, where historic divisions still cause issues in the city.

Within just two hours of the tweet being posted, Rochester Palace, the office of the Royal Family of Dartfordia, issued the following statement:
Quote from: Rochester Palace
His Majesty the King has expressed his concerns to Princess Adriana in relation to her statements regarding the status of Jenka-Jenkinson. The opinions expressed are not the opinion of His Majesty or the Royal Family. His Majesty has noted the success of the 2017 Basic Law in Jenka-Jenkinson and the commitment of those to ensure the agreement remains in force.

The representatives of Prince Alexander, Princess (and Empress Emerita) Beatrice, Princess Adriana and Prince Lucius, rapidly issued the following statement:
Quote from: Office of the Prince and Princess of Littlebrook
The views expressed in the Tweet do not reflect the opinion of the Prince and Princess of Littlebrook, or Princess Adriana of Littlebrook, in their capacity as members of the Dartfordian Royal Family. Any position adopted in this regard by Princess Adriana is in her capacity as the Crown Princess of Rokkenjima.

The area, originally Jenkinson, was established at the crossover between three railway lines running across the country. Its convenient access saw the development of a large goods yard and an accompanying town. With the closure of the goods yard after the First World War, the land was converted into housing for Rokkenjiman refugees in 1931. Tensions emerged following the Second World War with the collapse of industries and rising poverty levels. The divide was stark, with neighbouring streets consisting of entirely different ethnicities, road signs and shops. Violence between communities was rampant, with a number of riots throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

In 1998 a new city council was formed, where tensions subsided and an era of cooperation began. This broke down in 2014 which agin led to widespread violence across the city. An agreement was finally reached in 2017, and the new Council has continued to operate on a cooperative basis. While tensions were thought to have been raised when Dartfordia left the Cross-Straits Union, life has continued. Jenka-Jenkinson is the fifth largest city in Dartfordia with a population of 1.2 million, of which 700,000 are ethnically Rokkenjiman.

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Jenka-Jenkinson, Yuuna Kato and Tom Murphy, both elected in the 2017 election and standing for re-election later this year, also released the following statement:
Quote from: Office of the Mayors
The Jenka-Jenkinson Peace Process has been a remarkable, but delicate, achievement. We are committed to ensuring a workable solution be pursued for the good of all residents in our city. There is not appetite for drastic constitutional or economic change in the city. While the city voted overwhelmingly to remain in the Cross-Straits Union, it is unrealistic to suggest Jenka-Jenkinson could have a special economic relationship with the bloc.

This is not the first time the Rokkenjiman Imperial Family has interfered with Jenka-Jenkinson, after the Rokkenjiman Empress made an unplanned official visit to the city following the 2015 riots. Concerns continue to be raised over the position of the Imperial family in dictating Dartfordian affairs, especially with a Rokkenjiman naval base located within a few hundred miles of the city. With an election later this year, some are worried the Rokkenjiman Government is intending to interfere with the local elections and disrupt the work of cooperative parties.

The Dartfordian Government has not commented publicly, but a spokesperson has told members of the press that a request to withdraw the statement had been made by the Prime Minister.

Jenka-Jenkinson Showdown Continues,

The Twitter Showdown

Former Empress Beatrice has come out in support of Princess Adriana’s controversial statements on the future of Jenka-Jenkinson. Both members of the Dartfordian and Rokkenjiman royal households have doubled-down in her pursuit to see a ‘special economic relationship’ develop between the city and the Cross-Straits Union.

In a controversial Tweet, Beatrice stated that the ‘Royal Government will stand solidly against’ Princess Adriana, who earlier refused to ‘back down’ from her proposals. Princess Adriana is second in line to the Dartfordian throne after her father, Prince Alexander, who has yet to make a comment beyond the official statement by his office.

The move has united political parties in Hematite, with the governing National Party and opposition Socialist Party both condemning the comments. The Prime Minister initially rebuked the Princess’ comments on Twitter, declaring that changes were ‘impractical and unnecessary.’

In a Tweet that settled Government insiders, Empress Evanthe also Tweeted that the Rokkenjiman Government has ‘no official position on the domestic situation.’ This seems to have done enough to reassure Dartfordian government figures, who had been drawing up possible contingencies if it became a political point at the Cross-Straits Community talks.

Line of Succession (Removal for Seditious Activities) Bill 2021

Assurances form the Rokkenjiman Empress have not been enough to alleviate some concerns from Dartfordian MPs who call into question Princess Adriana for directly intervening in the affairs of the elected government. Since Princess Georgia’s unusual involvement in Universal Rights negotiations in 2014 led to the withdrawal of a number of Dartfordia’s key political allies from the agreement, the Royal Family has very firmly not been involved in political affairs.

Steve Adams MP is adding further fuel to the fire by introducing a bill that could allow Parliament to ‘remove or demote any individual’ from the line of succession for seditious activities. It defines these as ‘any activity undertaken to undermine the Government or Parliament of Dartfordia, advocate for the destruction or loss of territory or sovereignty of any part of Dartfordia, or promoting the interests of foreign administrations to the detriment of Dartfordia.’ The Bill has received the backing of 57 MPs out of 600 in the House of Commons.

As the Private Member’s Bill has not yet received the required 60 votes to be given an opportunity to have a debate, and even so it is unlikely to be voted into law. It marks the first time Parliament has attempted to intervene in the line of succession since the 1919-24 civil war.

Polling suggests split in Jenka-Jenkinson, Worries for Royal Family

Exclusive polling conducted jointly by LocalView and NatPol has shown a ‘deeply divided’ view on Princess Adriana’s views. When asked whether the city should have ‘a special economic relationship, as suggested by (Crown) Princess Adriana’, the city is split 50/50. 40% respondents voted yes and 40% no, while the ‘don’t know’ category garnered a very large 20% of polling.

Amongst those identifying as ethnically Dartfordian, almost 65% indicated no, 20% yes and 15% don’t know. For those who identified as Rokkenjiman, around 56% voted yes, 19% no and 25% don’t know.

When asked nationally, the polls show 45% no, 20% yes, and 35% ‘don’t know.’ Other polls on the position of the Royal Family are more worrying, with the general public, with generally a clear negative reaction. Empress Beatrice, who still holds a much higher profile in Dartfordia, comes in for criticism and there are indicators that the King and the Prince of Littlebrook should publicly oppose the comments.
